Chapter 16
Luka and Marinette sat together on a picnic towel by the Champs de mars among other people on a grill hosted by one of Luka's former classmates. Marinette had on her plate a hand full of potato chips with a well-grilled chicken leg. Luka did as well have potato chips on his plate and four grilled wings.
"It's quite a lot of guests your friend has gotten for only an 18th birthday," Commented Marinette looking at the available guests and spotted at the grill the host, that was putting a piece of chicken leg on the plate of a brunette man.
"The others are from his new class and a couple of them are family. Some came on purpose from Spain here to celebrate," Mentioned Luka making Marinette nod.
"Many teens want their 18th birthdays to be grandiose. I myself couldn't think of anything cool to do for mine,"
"I didn't think of something special. I just wanted the most important people to be present," Commented Luka taking a bite of one chip, then watched Marinette take a big bite of her chicken leg making Luka smile and observe her eating. Marinette looked at him noticing his attention to her, then titled her head.
"Why are you smiling?"
"Usually you would have asked, if it was okay to eat like that," Commented Luka making Marinette nod
"Well yeah I would, but at the moment I don't feel awkward eating like this. In fact…..everyone has to do that,"
"Indeed," Commented Luka watching Marinette take the next bite while he broke a wing apart to nibble on one side. Both looked up at the grill again to see the host give to a couple a thong full of wings and spread it on both plates.
"Isn't that boy in Marc's class?" Questioned Marinette making Luka nod.
"Yeah," Responded Luka. "He's the host's brother-in-law…...well, to be correct, the girlfriend's brother. There she is," Luka pointed out at a Scandinavian blonde reaching at the boyfriend with two plates, making him smile and place on each plate a chicken leg. The woman placed both plates on the table nearby with the other platter filled with raw meat, then embraced the host, giving him a peck on his cheek.
"She doesn't look like someone from Spain," Commented Marinette making Luka nod.
"She's from Denmark I think," Responded Luka making Marinette nod and admire the duo lean their forehead on each other, which made her smile.
"Aww," Marinette let out softly, making Luka chuckle and place his one free hand above Marinette's.
"He's a bit of a show-off, isn't he?" Questioned Luka watching Marinette shrug her shoulders.
"To me, it seemed, like she leaned on him,"
"Okay, that's right. If you would know him as long as I or the others do, you would get it. Takes every chance he has to show his girlfriend affection. He's that kind of guy, that lives for romance,"
"Do you really think, they're going to stay for so long?" Questioned Marinette watching Luka cackle.
"Well, I'm not a relationship expert, but one thing I know about him is that he looks quite attractive towards other women around his age…..Do you know, what he does, every time a girl tries to hit on him?"
"Uh…..run?"
"Okay he did that once with two other Spaniards, but he starts talking about his girlfriend in a very…..fascinating way. He really shows them, that she's the one for him. It's really hard to believe that. I thought at the start, that all this would last for a couple of months, but we are already on…..three years I think,"
"Wow, that's almost longer than our relationship,"
"Indeed. Ours is also much different than theirs. You can even take the example of Jin with Yi. They're also dating and comparing them with us or them, there are differences,"
"You're right. I admire that the fact Jin and Yi, have known each other their entire life. They will always know, when something's up," Spoke Marinette. "We two had a lot in common and bonded over that. Then, we met again, when I needed to do that one project and I began to feel…...happier after everything, that has been going on with the…. you know…..,"
"I've been really surprised about that knowledge. I knew already how amazing you were….."
"And that all came, because I could grow in that suit," Added Marinette making Luka nod. Marinette glimpsed down at her plate, then had an idea and picked up a piece of potato chip to hold it up in front of Luka's face. Luka knew, what she wanted to do, then smiled accepting it making Marinette chuckle upon seeing her boyfriend chew on the chip. Both smiled at each other for a moment, then Luka leaned in to share a kiss with Marinette, making her sigh amorously and move her hand down on the grass closer to her boyfriend's.
A loud soundwave passed across the park, shrieking several guests including Luka and Marinette, who looked around the area bewildered.
"What was that?" Questioned Marinette, then heard a user complain as he looked at his smartphone.
"There's some stupid image on my phone now. It looks like a meme, but at the same time it's locked and unmovable,"
Marinette furrowed her eyebrows, then took along with Luka their smartphones out to see the same images.
"I think someone hacked us," Mentioned Luka, then the talking of the guests grew louder as they had taken their smartphone to see, they had all the same problem making Luka and Marinette exchange looks.
"I think we should go check it out," Suggested Marinette making Luka nod, then both ran off the area to seek for an area to transform into superheroes.
Honey Gold, Hydra, Miss Vixen, and Super Snake sat on the head of the Trocadero watching the lightened-up Eiffel Tower across the river.
"Sitting on top of the Trocadero and admiring the tower sure feels different, than sitting anywhere else here," Confessed Honey Gold making the trio nod.
"I never sat anywhere, but the Eiffel Tower" Mentioned Miss Vixen. "This was a long time ago when I was akumatized,"
"Has everybody here been akumatized before?" Questioned Honey Gold watching the trio nod. "How many times?"
"One time," Responded Hydra, followed by Miss Vixen holding her hand out to show four of her fingers and Super Snake made a peace sign giving out his number.
"You were the most?" Questioned Honey Gold curious making Miss Vixen nod. "Insane,"
"Mr. Pigeon is the worst one. I think he passed over 50 times now," Commented Super Snake making the girls nod.
"Yes. He's the worst," Agreed Hydra. "You fought him with Onyx last time, right?"
"Yep," Responded Super Snake. "It's only a matter of time for him to be taken a second…...an X'th time,"
"Fighting him isn't that difficult. The more we countered him, the easier it got," Confirmed the raven-haired girl making the group nod.
Super Snake got up to point at the road, earning the attention of Hydra, who watched two electric cars crash behind two foreign vehicles making Hydra look confused about the incident.
"How did that accident happen? They had enough space to avoid it," Commented the girl making Super Snake nod.
"Someone just cursed in Italian," Mentioned Miss Vixen making Honey Gold wide her eyes surprised.
"You got some great hearing," Commented Honey Gold, then Miss Vixen pointed down at a duo, which held their smartphones together, that showed a mysterious image on the display. The bee heroine looked at the other present citizens, how a major part of them took out their smartphones to check it out noticing, that they were unable to use the device. "Everyone has the exact same image on their smartphone,"
"I'm going to check it out," Commented Hydra jumping down at the ground, causing the two teens to gasp in shock, then sigh relieved as they saw it was one of the city's superheroes. "Good evening, is everything okay?"
"Our smartphone got locked somehow and this strange meme appeared on our display. We can't do anything with it," Explained the boy showing the superheroine the image, which she observed for a couple of seconds. The superhero on top of the roof, observed her friend analyze the phone and moved her head up attentive as they heard screams come from far. The trio spotted by the cars, where the accident had happened the drivers ran out of the vehicle as it was going berserk with its lights and doors.
"Okay, something's definitely not right," Commented Miss Vixen making Super Snake and Honey Gold nod.
"You know, what we could do is split up and look for the origin of this," Suggested Honey Gold. "If we find something suspicious, we give each other a call,"
"Couldn't this be a sort of hacker attack or something and we don't know, what to do?" Questioned Super Snake followed by hearing another car crash, calling the attention of the trio, which looked to the right side of the lot to see another electric car stuck behind a bus and the driver ran out screaming. "Okay, that's weird,"
"Something else must be up here. We better catch up with that guy and ask, what happened," Stated the fox miraculous holder, making the duo nod and jump down to go meet the person, leaving Miss Vixen back, which frowned at them not revealing their deed. "Okay, I've done it before. I can handle it," Miss Vixen motivated herself changing her flute back into a glider.
The two heroes made their way toward the man, who got out of the car, and upon seeing the heroes, he got happy.
"Super Snake! Honey Gold! Thank goodness, you're here!" Said the man watching the heroes stop by him, then Honey Gold grabbed the man's hand to calm him down.
"We're here for you. What happened in there?" Questioned the blue-haired heroine.
"I wanted to look on the board computer for the next fast food local. Suddenly a weird image appeared on the screen with a curious message to me. Afterward, the car's autopilot turned on and drove me into the vehicle in front of me," Explained the man making the heroine nod.
"Okay and do you remember more or less, what that message was?"
"Well, it said humans like me take all this modern technology for granted, we don't value the things we got around us. I was looking at the image confused and had the impression I was being watched…..I commented back, that I had no idea, what it was talking about. The autopilot just turned on by itself and crashed into that one car and I got freaked out,"
"Okay, are you an expert in things IT?" Questioned Honey Gold looking at Super Snake, which shrug his shoulders.
"Perhaps it's an akuma, which can hack into people's stuff through the W-lan. I don't know how it works. I'm not an IT expert,"
"I see. Should we all just split up and seek for the origin?" Questioned Hydra.
"I think it's better that way. We can call each other if we figure out something," Commented Honey Gold watching the trio nod.
"Okay, I will go to the Louvre," Stated the redhead making the yellow-dressed girl nod.
"I look around the opera and the train station maybe," Added Hydra
"I go to the champs de Mars," Mentioned Honey Gold, then Miss Vixen looked around the area to think about, where she could go.
"I analyze the location here and go up to the arc de Triomphe," Commented Lila's alter ego. "If we see Ladybug or Onyx, shall we do a call?"
"Well, I would tell them, what our idea was. If they have something else, we will see it," Noticed Super Snake watching the crew nod, afterward they ran in different directions to head to their positions.
Ladybug swung across the city, then landed on top of a light pole to face a three-leveled habitat building. Ladybug attached her yo-yo to the pole to swing herself down at the window on the second floor and knocked on the glass, which had on the other side curtains blocking the view into the room. From under the curtains appeared the little bot Markov with a question mark on its display, afterward it displayed a smile upon recognizing the superheroine.
"Markov, can you get Max here?" Questioned Ladybug watching the bot disappear, moments later the curtains were pulled back to reveal Max there in his pajamas. The boy opened up the window for Ladybug to get on top of the ledge.
"Good evening, Ladybug. What leads you here?" Questioned Max.
"I think an akuma has taken control over people's smartphones and eventually other technologies. People aren't able to use their smartphones, a couple of cars….there might be more behind this," Explaind Ladybug making Max nod, then unlocked his laptop on the desk to enter into the internet, then received a push notification about an existing akuma.
"Akuma alert, 19th arrondisment. Avoid the local," Max read out loud to Ladybug.
"The airport is located in there. There hasn't been a problem yet with the airport or any other community lots. If the technologies there will be altered or touched by the akuma, this could be a catastrophe,"
"Do you believe the akuma could hack himself into any of the airplanes?" Questioned Ladybug widening her eyes in shock.
"That's not the main problem. The problem is the control tower and the nighttime. Mostly the control tower, if they have their system going nuts, they won't be able to talk with the upcoming flights. Terrible accidents could happen if the planes aren't sent away until the akuma is defeated,"
"That's definitely not good," Commented Ladybug taking out her yo-yo to open it. "I'm calling Super Snake. I need to tell him that. He sure knows, what to do,"
"One of my classmates' mother works at the airport. I could call my friend too," Offered Max taking out his phone to call the friend. Ladybug shrugged her shoulders, knowing she couldn't tell Max to not call due to the friend's superhero identity.
"Super, it's an emergency. You need to get to the airport and warn the tower about the akuma. He's in the near,"
"How do you know that?" Questioned Super Snake. "Have you seen him already?"
"No, I visited a boy I knew was an IT expert and he warned me, that the akuma could interfere with the air traffic. It's really important to inform the crew there,"
"Alright, I'm on it. I will inform you when I'm done," Responded Super Snake.
"Thank you," Responded Ladybug clapping back her yo-yo to look at Max analyzing Paris's map on the screen. "Do you have any idea, if we can track the akuma with your laptop?" Questioned Ladybug, followed by Markov form a questioning mark on its display.
Super Snake flew on a board whilst playing his lyre above the metropolis watching the number of buildings of the arrondissement he was in. During the fight, he looked down at the roads trying to recognize the place he was passing by, then gulped fearing, that from above he couldn't recognize the place. Super Snake landed on top of a building to look from there, to see the surroundings hoping he would know, where he was.
"Where's the A1?" Questioned the redhead looking at the buildings around him, then looked down at the road to see, if he could spot a road shield somewhere. Super Snake jumped down to take a better look and found at the near of a crossroad an underground entrance of a Metro with the name of the road.
"I'm going the wrong way again," Super Snake said doing a facepalm, then took the lyre to play on it to use the board he used to fly up in the air to go the way back, slightly tensed with the situation.
Throughout the course, he spotted a library, where he encountered Onyx running out of there and Super Snake moved down to meet up with the raven-haired superhero.
"Onyx! Help!" Announced Super Snake landing on the ground watching Onyx stop.
"Did you find that villain?"
"I can't recall the direction to the airport. I need to go there and warn the traffic controllers about the akumas powers or it will break the communication between them and the airplanes," Explained Super Snake making Onyx nod.
"Have you thought about crossing the metro tunnels?" Questioned Onyx. "I know it isn't as fast as flying across the city, but one of the tunnels sure leads to the airport,"
"I think, if I used Hydra's lighting, I can travel faster underground…..where exactly does the electricity come from in the metro? It doesn't have that thing over its head,"
"This is now odd, but I really have no idea as well, what that object is called. But I think Hydra already traveled underground. She said the rails provide electric power, that's how the metro rides," Mentioned Onyx pondering about, that option. "Is she active as well?" Questioned Onyx, then heard Super Snake growl making the Chinese boy tilt his head confused.
"Come on!" Complained Super Snake grunting during his try of gaining control of the borrowed power of Hydra.
"What are you doing?" Questioned Onyx, then saw Super Snake stop and begin to play a melody on his lyre creating a bolt making Onyx wide his eyes surprised, then observed him launch the bolt at the light pole, which ended up having its light bulb blown up. Super Snake dropped his chin surprised, then looked at Onyx, which was surprised about Super Snake's new power.
"Okay, that's probably not how it works,"
"Where did you get that power?" Questioned Onyx approaching the redhead.
"Hydra said something, that the yeti gave you and her a special power and that you could use to give your teammates your powers," Explained Super Snake. "Hydra gave me her lighting power and Miss Vixen the wind,"
"Really?"
"Yeah," Responded Super Snake. "Weirdly I don't seem to be able to use lighting to travel, just like Hydra,"
"Usually she says the word lightning before she takes off," Explained Onyx. "Or if you're planning on taking the metro, you go down,"
"Okay, I'm going to try it out," Announced Super Snake running away from the friend to head across the street to enter into the metro station leaving Onyx back.
"Hey wait!" Asked Onyx taking his staff to catapult himself in the air to land on the other side of the road, entering the station as well. The cat miraculous holder followed the friend across the hall, then jumped after him down at the platform to see a metro leaving in the opposite direction. Super Snake looked up at the boards, which showed the various rails around the arrondissement and Onyx extended his stick to show the location of the airport.
"Here it is. You have to go to the northwest," Stated Onyx making Super Snake.
"Good, I'm giving it a try," Announced Super Snake making Onyx nod.
"Be careful, you're not used to the power," Warned Onyx watching Super Snake yell out the word and fly up against a light, causing it to break and make him materialize himself back, landing in front of Onxy, which gasped at his friend's accident, followed by a few other passengers, that witnessed the accident. "Alright, I think I will follow you to the airport, just in case," Mentioned Onyx watching Super Snake get up by himself and look at the railway, then inhale a breath before repeating his try.
"Lighting!" Shouted Super Snake dropping into the electric railway, causing a yellow sparkle on the iron and it moved forward disappearing into the tunnel. Onyx noticed on the walls, the yellow light caused by the friend grow smaller as he was moving forward, then glimpsed back at the other tunnel to see, if it was safe for the duo to ride over it. Onyx got down off the platform to follow his friend along the tunnel. Onyx went down on his four to run like a feline pursuing his friend along the railway.
"Don't forget, you have to turn right when you spot the next tunnel," Warned Onyx still tracking the light of his teammate, which switched to the right line making Onyx look impressed by how fast Nathaniel seemed to have learned the usage of the power.
Later, Super Snake arrived at the station of the airport and materialized himself into a human, then got up on the platform. He heard a honking, then looked back at the tunnel to see Onyx catapult himself out of the tunnel, bouncing with his staff on the ground to fly against a sign, where he held himself on it to watch the metro enter into the station.
"Dear passengers, please do not enter the metro. An akuma is able to control modern technologies and to prevent any damage to you, I request everyone to stay here until everything's cleared," Warned Onyx, then Super Snake spoke as the departure screen, began to o beserk changing its screen into the meme the superhero team had seen before.
"Oh oh," Said Super Snake, then Onyx dropped down on the floor to pick Super Snake up and pull him up at the upper level, so both could run together into the airport.
"Okay, you said your mother works here, right?" Questioned Onyx making Super Snake nod and jump along with the older boy over the turnstile. "How are you going to get up there?"
"There's actually a long way up there, but we can take the easier way and just go over the airport up to the tower from the outside. We're heroes, they will let us in," Explained Super Snake making Onyx nod, afterward both went upstairs to get out to the road, where they saw the drop-off area of the cars. "Help me go above those bridges and on the left side you'll see the airfield. Where the tower is, you'll see it easily," Explained Super Snake making Onyx nod and pack the friend by the side to extend his staff against the ground to catapult the two above the main building of the airport, then Onyx moved his staff to bounce on the field inside the airport to send themselves across the tower to land next to a small building beneath the tower.
"That's the break lounge for the workers. We can knock on there and see if anyone's around," Mentioned Super Snake moving closer to the tower to look down at a small platform connected between the tower and the house. "Follow me," Asked Super Snake jumping down followed by the raven-haired, then both knocked on the door to wait for it to be opened. Onyx looked at the entrance to the tower to see it was a thick door with two different lock systems on the side, which interested Onyx a little.
Onyx moved his cat ear as he heard the door of the house open up to see a man step at the door, making Super Snake gulp upon seeing the man.
"Can I help you, Mr. Snake?" Questioned the man, then Onyx noticed, that Super Snake looked intimidated by the man.
"Sir, we have to warn the crew up there at the tower. An akuma is making all sorts of technologies go berserk and that going to happen here too," Warned Onyx making the man tilt his head.
"This will affect the entire air traffic around here. You two wait there by the door, I will assemble the rest of the crew in the break to help out as well," Stated the man making the heroes nod, then the man looked into the room to see four more people in it. "Beaumont, Kurtzberg, Schaeffer, DeLuca, I need you all up at the tower. It's an akuma emergency!" Announced the man watching the four people get up to follow the man to the other door, where the superheroes waited. Onyx widened his eyes surprised to recognize one of the two women as the mother of Nathaniel, then Super Snake lifted his hand at his mother and Onyx pulled his friend's hand down to prevent any suspicion between the people. The man entered the code on the button panel, then passed his electronic key above the field under the panel to unlock the door, which led to a staircase and an elevator. The man pressed on the door to open the elevator and all got into it, to go up.
"Okay, we're lucky we could get into the tower. What would have been, if the lock wouldn't have worked due to the akuma?" Questioned Onyx looking at Super Snake, which nodded.
"I'd be more worried if it was the elevator," Mentioned Super Snake making Onyx look worried at his friend.
"I kill you if we get stuck," Warned Onyx, then the team arrived at the top, then walked into the center of the tower to see all the present air traffic controllers in front of the screens monitoring the current planes located in the French air space.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! We have an akuma alert. No plane is allowed to take off. Planes on the course of landing shall change route and contact the next tower for assistance. I suggest the pilots have the autopilot turned off in case, the akuma may affect it. Teamwork is important right now, we can do this," Said the man while the staff from the break returned to their places to start working again. Onyx looked at one gray-haired man looking at his screen to look at a number on the radar.
"CA464, here's Brun from Charlie Delta Gama. Code Alpha Kilo Uniform Mike has been given to us. I request you to enter another frequency and give on the code. They will lead you further," Spoke the man into his headset making Onyx nod upon listening to his conversation. Super Snake looked at his mother, who had just put on her headset and pressed on a plane located in the air as well, then established a connection with its pilot.
"LX358, due to code Alpha Kilo Uniform Mike, your route has to be prolonged. Please contact your last controller and hand him out the code,"
"Copy that," Answered the pilot through the frequency. Super Snake smiled and nudged his friend to show himself proud of the mother. Onyx took his staff to call Ladybug, then heard her attending it.
"Ladybug, I'm here with Snake at the airport tower. They're all working together and advising the planes to stay away,"
"Great, have the instruments not fallen down yet?" Questioned Ladybug.
"They seem to be working normally," Onyx mentioned walking away from the staff to prevent any distraction from his side. "No planes will take off now, nor land. Anyone else will have to contact the next tower, which will keep them safe until everything is solved,"
"Great, do you think you could leave and search around the buildings there for a mysterious person? Max is trying to track the IP address of the villain and that might take a while,"
"Yes, what about…." Onyx began asking, then watched all the screens around the room turn off displaying a foreign image on it, making the air traffic controllers gasp and exchange looks with each other. "Now the instruments here are down as well," Mentioned Onyx looking at Super Snake, which swallowed hard and looked at his mother speaking to a pilot, whose connection she did lose. Another staff worker took binoculars to look at a runway, then sighed relieved as a plane did land safely on the runway.
"KL739 just landed safely," Warned the man. "Did anyone guide anyone before the blackout?"
"I was explaining the co-pilot of IA946 to contact another tower, but we just lost connection," Commented Miss Kurtzberg. "There was an emergency inside the aircraft and the co-pilot has to work in his own now,"
"Oh crap," Commented Onyx making the woman nod sad about the news.
"I think we should go out and look for that plane" Commented Super Snake. "Where was his last location? What does the plane look like?"
"It's usually white….."
"Yeah a white airplane, that's gonna help us a lot," Commented Onxy a little sarcastically while using his staff to call someone.
"IA is the new one from Spain, right?" Asked Super Snake seeing his mother nod.
"It has behind the first doors the company's name on it, the tail has two orange stripes, one darker than the other. Above the stripes, it also has the company's name on it. It's not overall complicated drawn. Make sure it has two engines as well," Warned Miss Kurtzberg making her son nod.
"Good," Answered Super Snake, then looked at Onyx making a different call.
"Snake, I got Camouflage already, now it's…."
"Onyx, is everything okay?"
"Hydra, can you meet me and Super Snake here at the airport? It's an emergency," Warned the boyfriend.
"I'm on my way. Hold on," Hydra answered, then turned off her call and Onyx looked at Super Snake, which nodded a little worried about the situation.
"Hydra and Camouflage are on their way, don't worry," Assured Onyx to his friend.
Miss Vixen and Honey Gold met each other above the opera's dome to see the roads with a huge traffic jam, which barely moved due to an accident caused by a few cars. At the edge, Honey Gold stood looking down at the area, while from the other side, Miss Vixen came along to look down as well.
"Are those accidents caused by the akuma as well?" Questioned Miss Vixen making Honey Gold nod.
"I didn't witness the accident, but from the way, the cars are positioned down there, it's possible that it was caused by the akuma," Responded Honey Gold making the fox-dressed girl.
"I came across Camouflage and he's heading to the airport right now. The control tower is down and the planes are unable to land now," Commented Miss Vixen. "They have to look for an airplane, where there's an emergency with the crew,"
"Do they need our help?" Questioned Honey Gold.
"He told, they would call us, if they needed us or anything else. We can keep looking for the villain, eventually take a look at the surroundings," Commented Miss Vixen. "I think we could go down at the other crossroads around here and warn the drivers to go another direction, at least to regulate the traffic a little,"
"That's a good idea. I will go there, where the train station is," Noticed Honey Gold making Miss Vixen nod.
"Good, I will go in the opposite direction. I think I'm directing the cars to the Place Vendome," Commented Miss Vixen making Honey Gold nod, which observed Miss Vixen pick up her flute to change it into a glider, afterward she jumped down with it, flying up above the buildings to head to the location. Honey Gold smiled amused by seeing the friend, who seemed to have won confidence with the flight, then gazed down at the road. Honey Gold jumped down toss her spinning top at a light pole to swing across the roads searching her way out of the area to look for a point to direct the traffic.
At one crossroad she spotted the cars waiting at the traffic light and noticed several cars, leaving the direction, where the traffic jam was. Honey Gold decided to swing down and land on top of the traffic light to look at the other drivers. Honey Gold wondered about, how she should guide the traffic, while the lights were working normally. Afterward, she had an idea and jumped down on the road from where the large traffic came to block the left side to signalize the cars to go a different direction. Honey Gold stood in the middle of the lateral line and attached her top around the pole to form a barrier tape.
"Listen up, Paris! Avoid this road, a large file of cars up to the opera is blocked by an accident. Move along the other roads and drive carefully," Warned Honey Gold looking at the first cars, that were coming towards her direction and stopped in the middle of the road junction. Honey Gold advised with her hand to the drivers to move away, which they did making the superheroine smile. The blue-haired observed the cars move in the left direction, thereafter checked the right direction, where the traffic light turned green to let the cars drive further. Honey Gold attached the yo-yo to the car's side mirror beside her and walked further to look at the crossroads to see how much cars she could see from the sides.
Honey Gold heard screaming of people, followed by cars accelerating fast making the heroine wide her eyes from sensing danger. Honey Gold returned to the car to retrieve her spinning top back, then swung above the crossroad up at a building to track the noise. Honey Gold spotted by a community garage a road with a few cars, that had crashed and two other ones lied upside down, making the heroine look confused and she made her way there to take a better look.
"Where did the cars come from?" Questioned Honey Gold, then got closer to it, to watch from above the roof down at the road to see a few people take a look into the vehicle, which was empty. Honey Gold jumped down to take a look at the vehicle as well, then bowed down next to a man.
"What happened?" Asked Honey Gold glimpsing at the man, which pointed up at the garage.
"The car dropped from up the garage," Mentioned the man, then people began to cry and Honey Gold looked up to see the lights of a car shine above a wall, then it broke down as an SUV crashed against it, making the heroine gasp and jump on top of a car and throw the spinning top against the car to grab it on the wheel to push it against the first level of the garage. "Citizens, get out of here!" Ordered Honey Gold, then got up at the third level of the garage, where the walls were broken and she glimpsed into the garage. Honey Gold took her top to use it as a phone and tried to contact Miss Vixen.
"I'm returning. A part of the police unit was already working there. Where can I help you?"
"I think something's up here at the garage. Three cars just dropped from the garage," Explained Honey Gold hearing from the interior an engine getting turned on, lighting up its headlights revealing its current location. "And I think there's more to come," Mentioned Honey Gold.
"I'm coming, Honey Gold," Answered Miss Vixen making the bee-heroine turn the call off.
Honey Gold looked at a white car coming from behind a column, turning in her direction, speeding up making her widen her eyes and prepare her top. Upon getting closer, Honey Gold launched the top towards the car, watching it hit the front wheel, making it jump and change direction heading towards another wall slower, then the blue-haired threw her spinning top against the car to grab it by the back wheel, then held it tight to slow down the fall. Honey Gold felt the car reach the ground, then withdrew the thread. Honey Gold heard another car rev up and race out from the other side, making the superheroine smirk and prepare her top again, then it began to ring, making her bite her lips.
"Not now!" Complained Honey Gold before attending the call. "Is it an emergency?"
"Did you find the perpetrator?" Questioned Ladybug's voice, making Honey Gold shake her head.
"Nope, but whoever the akuma is, is making cars fall off a garage," Warned Honey Gold watching the car's engine turn off, while another one in the same room turned on, leaving the first one to taxi its way to the superheroine. "I think the akuma is only capable of steering one car. This would be a chaos if he would do all of them," Mentioned Honey Gold walking aside to let the car fall down at the road, while she took a look at the road to see if the citizens did step away from there. "What do you need?"
"I just needed to inform you, that Max managed to track the location of the akuma. He's located at a hotel about 20 km away from the airport," Informed Ladybug.
"Great, shall I go with you there?" Questioned Honey Gold.
"Meet me at the top of the Swedish furniture store. Onyx is at the moment helping the others at the airport,"
"Alright, look Miss Vixen is going to meet me in a minute, we'll go together to you,"
"Sure, we discuss later, what's next," Added Ladybug making Honey Gold nod.
"Yes, see you later, Ladybug," Finished Honey Gold, then noticed the lights of the car blind her and she did a salto backwards to avoid being hit by the vehicle, which flew out of the garage almost hitting the other building making Honey Gold drop her mouth.
Onyx, Super Snake, and Hydra stood on top of an airplane watching the passengers being evacuated out through all emergency exits. An ambulance and two firefighter vehicles stood around to assist with the situation. Camouflage stood by the co-pilot between the gap of the cockpit's entrance to observe the people leave, a little more relieved than usual.
"Eventually, I'm going to get questioned about, what happened," Spoke the co-pilot. "He seemed fit just as the other few times I worked with him. I don't know if he had some sort of collapse or anything else. I was just a bit worried because I never had anything to do with akumas. But the airports here do have any knowledge, in case an akuma messes up the flights, right?"
"Yes. I think this is the only time, the whole airport is in real trouble. The air traffic controllers aren't able to talk with the others around the area," Commented the turtle-themed superhero, then heard the radio device produce a noise calling the attention of the co-pilot, which lifted his finger to signal the hero, that he was going to check it out.
"Here's Luiz Janero from IA946. We have landed successfully,"
The trio stood on the wing, seeing the last of the passengers leave the plane now through the doors only, then Hydra nudged her boyfriend with her elbow on his arm.
"Have you tried to use on someone the power the yetis have passed on to you?" Questioned Hydra making Onyx shake his head.
"No. I don't even know, how I should use it," Commented Onyx making Hydra nod.
"The hero you wish to pass the power on will have the miraculous copy the blue light of the miraculous, then take the next color of the power you have given,"
"You mean it turns green afterward or another color? I only have cataclysm," Responded Onyx, watching Hydra ponder about it and shrug her shoulders.
"I have no clue, to be honest," Commented Hydra. "I managed to give Miss Vixen my wind power and Super Snake got lighting,"
"Cataclysm won't really be useful to anyone at the moment," Commented Onyx looking at Super Snake, which listened to their conversation and nodded.
"Don't you have night vision or something?" Questioned Super Snake. "You definitely see better, than us two at the moment,"
"I see the same, but when I'm not around the lights I can see things very well. I don't need to force my eyes to see the objects," Commented Onyx, then heard someone whistle and the trio looked at the front of the plane to see Camouflage stand there.
"Guys, we need to go up there again. A plane's engine fell out due to a bird strike. We could assist it to its nearest airport," Warned Camouflage making the trio nod.
"Okay boys, you know, what to do," Commented Hydra.
"I still haven't used my second chance. I believe I won't be using it a second time," Mentioned the redhead making his friends chuckle. "What's so funny?"
"You sort of made a word play by accident," Commented Hydra, making Super Snake widen his eyes by noticing it.
"Oh right…..,"
"Eventually, if you really need to use it, use it, Super. Ladybug mentioned before, that she was on her way to find the akuma along with Honey Gold," Mentioned Camouflage hoping on the wing, followed by Onyx holding out his staff at the friend to help him. Hydra pointed up in the air to show her team Miss Vixen arriving on her glider.
"Guys! The wing is too short," Warned Miss Vixen watching Super Snake and Camouflage move their arms to show the girl to change direction, after that she made her way up on the top of the plane, then landed with her flat feet above it, sliding down to the tail.
"Did you know, Miss Vixen also uses wind?" Questioned Hydra looking at her boyfriend, which raised his eyebrows curious, then observed the heroine hop down at the wing while holding her glider.
"I've heard you're capable of using the glider now," Commented Onyx making Miss Vixen nod.
"All thanks to Hydra's new…..yeti powers," Mentioned Miss Vixen making Hydra nod.
"Super, will you take us with you again?" Asked Camouflage making Super Snake nod.
"I have to tag along with you," Mentioned Hydra watching Super Snake look from the plane's wing down at a board.
"Yeah, but the board is too small for us all," Commented Super Snake as the friends got around him. Onyx looked at the safety slide, then shove it off the wing to watch it fall on the ground. Onyx had an idea, then tapped on Super Snake's shoulder and pointed at the slide.
"What about we riding that?" Questioned Onyx making Super Snake wide his eyes amazed by the friend's idea, then jumped down with his lyre, then began to play on it. Onyx crossed his arms proud to have inspired his friend, then observed the snake-themed superhero float beside the wing to allow the crew to get on the slide. Miss Vixen got up there as well, holding her device above her head and Super Snake smiled at seeing the entire crew present.
"Be careful. I'm going to take off," Super Snake warned changing the tune of his lyre to fly up in the air.
Onyx stepped beside Super Snake to have his eyes focused on the front, while the rest of the group analyzed the surroundings.
"Okay, what airlines are we following now?" Questioned Hydra.
"It could be anyone. All we know is the engine is defect," Mentioned Camouflage making the girl nod.
"I bet if anyone of us had the dog miraculous, we could use the nose to pick up the engine's scent," Commented Onyx. "Miss Vixen, are you sure, you can't do that?"
"I can see in the dark just like you," Mentioned Miss Vixen. "What's actually pretty good for me. Whenever I have to use the glider by night, I won't need to be worried about crashing somewhere,"
"I know, what you mean," Confessed Onyx making Super Snake nod. Onyx spotted in the far a large vehicle, then pointed there advising Super Snake to change direction and head there.
"I think we're getting closer. I smell something odd," Commented Camouflage looking above Onyx's shoulders to recognize light blinking of the airplane.
"I believe that's the airplane. I see smoke coming out from the engine," Mentioned Onyx making Super Snake nod.
"I think the best thing we can do now is land on top of the plane. This is our best option," Commented the redhead.
"Good, let us leave above the wings," Asked Camouflage.
The team landed above the head of the airplane, then all looked at each.
"Okay, who's got a plan?" Questioned Onyx, then Super Snake pointed at his miraculous.
"I will stay in the back in case I need to reset," Mentioned Super Snake making the group nod.
"Hydra and Miss Vixen are capable of using wind right now. I think the best way for us to work is if, Hydra and Onyx stay at the back. Miss Vixen will fly in front of the plane, leading it to the next airport," Suggested Camouflage. Super Snake will use his miraculous as we all know. I will take a look at the engine," Mentioned Camouflage getting down at the wing, then glimpsed into the airplane to see most of the people with a tensed look on their faces and Camouflage knocked on it to see, how they would react. The row by his side looked at the window, then widened their eyes as they recognized the superhero, which gave them a thumb up. Hydra and Onyx looked down at their friend, which walked carefully above the wing, then Onyx whistled to call the friend's attention.
"Do you need water?" Questioned Onyx making Luka's alter ego shake his head.
"There's no fire. That's just smoke." Commented Camouflage making the two heroes nod and walk towards the back of the plane, while Camouflage bowed above the wing to take a look down at the engine.
"The closest airport is the one at the air and space museum. That's heading to the north side," Mentioned Miss Vixen loud making Camouflage nod. "Good!" Responded Miss Vixen, then looked at the front of the plane and glimpsed back at Super Snake, who observed her. He understood, that she was looking for reassurement from the redhead, which gave a thumb up and activated his second chance.
Miss Vixen moved herself towards the plane's nose, then shrieked as it went wrong and she crashed against the plane making Super Snake gasp and activate his power.
"Second chance!" Shouted Super Snake returning a couple of seconds back upon the moment he marked his timeline.
Hydra and Onyx ran to the back of the plane, while Miss Vixen flew beside the plane looking back at Super Snake.
"Try to fly in front of the plane and direct it from there to air space museum," Ordered Super Snake earning a thumb up from the friend, which moved further to the airplane, then signaled it to follow her. Miss Vixen glanced back to see the pilot give the heroine a thumb up, making her smile from the first step.
Hydra and Onyx on the background stopped by the tail of the airplane, then glimpsed at the stabilizer beneath it.
"What do you think? Should we get up there?" Questioned Onyx making Hydra nod.
"I think we will have a better look from up there. Or you. You're the one with the night vision," Answered Hydra making Onyx chuckle, then grabbed Hydra by her side and jumped with the use of the staff against the horizontal stabilizer, then Hydra used her sword to hold themselves to avoid falling. Onyx got up, followed by Hydra, which kept the sword by the tail, observing the entire plane from a different perspective. Onyx looked back at the elevator of the stabilizer, then shove Hydra gently away from there.
"Careful. That flap might move during a movement," Mentioned Onyx making Hydra nod.
"How far is the airport from here, Miss Vixen!?" Asked Super Snake loud, earning the attention of the heroine.
"I don't know," Responded Miss Vixen.
"We're not far from Charles. Sink down slowly. Don't worry, I still have my miraculous," Said Super Snake making Miss Vixen nod and descend slowly, followed by the airplane.
"I see a lot of land here!" Mentioned Miss Vixen.
"That's a good sign!" Warned Super Snake. "We must be closer. Go down," Ordered Super Snake, followed by Camouflage lifting his head up.
"Make sure you don't go too far. The most important part for it, is that he manages to see the runway, so he can see when he needs to reduce by itself the speed," Warned Camouflage making Super Snake nod and look at the brunette, which nodded.
"Hydra, make sure to be able to transform when we're reaching the runway and something goes wrong. The plane only has this one chance. He can't take a second chance by himself now with the damaged engine,"
"I will," Promised Hydra holding herself tight on the sword sensing the airplane move down in small paces whilst carrying the few superheroes on deck.
Miss Vixen, who led the front recognized from afar an airfield with a few lightened-up runways, then she moved aside to point down and eye contacts the pilots, which nodded, then spoke to each other. Miss Vixen slowed down to reach back to Camouflage, which reached his hand out at her to help her down at the wing.
"I think they're on a good path now," Stated Miss Vixen making Camouflage nod, then he looked back at the couple, which eyed the plane from above.
Within the mere minutes above the field, the plane was approaching the field and Hydra transformed into wind to fly under the belly of the plane to soften the landing. Upon the plane's landing, it opened its flaps to brake leaving Hydra back, which had materialized herself back into a human. Onyx did jump down at the ground with Hydra's sword, then observed along with the girlfriend the plane reach the end, while the three other heroes remained on top of it. The duo observed the trio reunite at the wing, then gazed back at the couple and gave a thumb up, making the duo smile and copy.
"Wow, it went well," Commented Hydra looking at Onyx, which smiled and held his fist up.
"And I think we didn't need to use any of Super Snake's second chances or did we?" Questioned Onyx watching his girlfriend shrug her shoulders.
