(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! How are you all doing? Well, I hope. We have only have three reviews, but that is okay!
Before I say or do anything else, I want to give praise and honor to the Lord. God, thank you for guiding me and my best female friend & sister on this crossover idea. And more so, thank you for guiding and guarding us from the crazy things the world has been going through.
We look to you Lord for strength, guidance, wisdom, insight, courage, conviction, steadfastness and determination. Jesus Christ, aid us in keeping strong and true to you. While the world and the people start to go further from you in many ways, help us and those that are still close and true to you God to keep close to you. We will do our best for you God, no matter come what may!
Even though we have only three reviews, it is better than nothing. And these reviews are honest and good, so they are most welcome!
Thanks to the eager energy and impressive mindset & imagination of my partner/friend/sister Author Dreams Come True 996, this second chapter is all ready to go! We have had much brainstorming, questions going back and forth, scenarios coming into our heads and much more that we have shared together.
And I will say this proudly; God, thank you for guiding me to such a good, true and real friend like Dreams who is very close to you & also gifted with a powerful imagination that comes from you! Continue to hone her, forge her and strengthen her so that she shines brightly with your light!
In this chapter, Maria and the PPG arrive at the SWAT Kats universe and are changed physically. Also, we shall see more flashbacks and such that involve the prequel to said story here that will be released when the time is right. Also, going to utilize some theories concerning halfas in this story, like I did in my Danny Phantom works.
Again, me and Dreams are not pleased at all on what is being shown in today's media. We are not that impressed on what has been appearing in movies, cartoons, TV shows and the like. They seem to lack depth, character growth, plot development and more. And sad to say… many are trying to showcase something that we believe is not right or true at all, and it hurts us that many a good character now have been changed/altered in order to appease certain groups and fanbases.
We see and believe that the media that was shown in the past, like in the 1970s all the way up to the very early 2000s, have more potential, promise and truth than what is shown today. And with this story, we will try to bring back what sadly is now becoming a lost art.
And that is a good story that shows character & plot growth and development in many areas. It will take time, planning, collaboration and more. But I believe it will be worth it in the long-run.
We cannot please everyone, nor do we ever wish to do so. I believe in the words of my pastor Rick Godwin from Summit Christian Center at San Antonio and it is this: If you try to please everyone, you lose yourself entirely. So while others may not be pleased at this, it is what it is. Our aim is not to please all, but to write a worthwhile story. No more, no less.
There will be NO kind of characters or reference to slash or femme-slash of any kind. There will also be no trans characters or notions in this story series, nor in any of my other stories. See my Profile bio to see where I firmly stand in and at. In this I am VERY serious about!
And that is my stance on this story, and all others I have made and will make in the future. And again, this story will feature Christian elements and faith! And that I am not sorry at all for!

Danny Phantom is a cartoon series that was created by Butch Hartman, developed by Steve Marmel. The series aired on April 2004, the network that released it was Nickelodeon. The production companies were Billionford Inc. and Nickelodeon Animation Studios, with the distributors being Viacom International Inc. and Nelvana. Look for my Danny Phantom series and specials when getting the chance, if you please. Using last names for certain characters that come from said series.
Powerpuff Girls is a cartoon series that was created by Craig McCracken. Directed by Craig McCracken and many others over the years. Executive producer is Craig McCracken. Production companies are Hanna-Barbera Cartoons and Cartoon Network Studios, distributor was Warner Bros. Television Distribution. Series aired on Cartoon Network on November 1998.
Swat Kats is a cartoon series that was created by Christian Tremblay & Yvon Tremblay, directed by Robert Alvarez. Executive producer was Buzz Potamkin, production company was Hanna-Barbera Productions with distributors being Turner Entertainment & Turner Program Service. The series was released and aired in September 1993 and ended on January 1995. The original network it aired on was TBS.

Somewhere Out There is a song from the 1986 animated Don Bluth film An American Tail. The song is a single, sung by duet Linda Ronstadt & James Ingram, from album An American Tail: Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack. The album was released in November 1986, available on audio cassette, vinyl record and CD. The label were MCA Records originally, than to Geffen Records and Intrada Records in 2013 & 2019 respectively. Producer for the album was James Horner. For the single, the songwriters were James Horner, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Produced by Peter Asher & Steve Tyrell. The movie was directed by Don Bluth, produced by Don Bluth, Gary Goldman & John Pomeroy. Production companies were Amblin Entertainment and Sullivan Bluth Inc., distributed by Universal Pictures. Journey is a 2001 song done by group Eiffel 65. It is an Italian music group that was formed in 1997 by the record company Bliss Corporation, the members being Jeffrey Jey, Maurizio Lobina & Gabry Ponte.

~Intro, insert Journey
The camera is entirely black for a few moments, than turns completely white. But almost immediately following it, an elongated oval shape appears. Its shape looks like an egg that has been turned on its side. After a moment, someone appears to drop down within the shape. It is a young woman, one with brown hair, fair white skin, blue eyes and red lipstick on her lips.
It turns out to be Maria Neverdomski, who is in her human form. And to her right are the words in dark-pink HANNA-BARBERA. Maria smiles, than a golden ring of energy appears on her left side and starts to go over her. The scene freezes at the moment where the golden ring is exactly at the halfway point, in the middle of Maria's face.
It shows half of her face; on the left is her halfa-form, which shows golden hair, bronze-colored skin, her eye is now green with a beauty mark near it, her lips now having blue lipstick coloring & she seems to be wearing bands in her hair & on her neck that shows the colors of blue, red and green.
The logo stays in place for a few moments, than it fades as the scenery changes to show the city of Townsville. The narrator is not speaking, as he is not part of the intro. Everything seems to be peaceful… until the silence is shattered by the sound of a police alarm! The camera zooms towards the city, many buildings passing by in a blur until it stops in front of a bank. The scene now shows the entrance to the bank, where police were coming in on the scene in their vehicles. When they arrived, they got out of their police cars and took positions behind it & drawing out their guns.
The camera shows the door to the establishment, which are soon blown open with some smoke coming out from them. And a close up is done as some red latex boots come walking out. When they stop, the camera slowly pans upward to show that the boots are thigh-high types that belong to only one villainess. The camera pans upward to show the alluring curves wrapped in red and black outfit, and soon comes to the smirking face of the one called Sedusa! The camera zooms outward to showcase the entire seductive frame of the villainess, who is holding a bag full of money in her left hand, while her right hand is covered in a black gauntlet that has a red gemstone on the back of it.
The scene shows Sedusa striking a sensual pose, which makes the male officers grin dumbly and lower their weapons. Hearts shoot out of their beings as they are entranced completely by Sedusa's form. However, the female officers are not affected and very much looked more ticked off now as they fire their guns at her! Sedusa smirk increases as she lifts the gauntlet in front of her, the camera showing the red gemstone glowing red. Rings of magnetic power appear in front of Sedusa, stopping the bullets in their tracks. The metal projectiles float in midair a few feet from her, causing the female officer to cease fire and look in shock at the action.
The villainess than cackles and sends the projectiles back at the law officers with twice the speed! The policewomen duck down behind their cars just in time, some pulling their still-stricken male partners to the ground so that they are not hit. This seems to snap them out of their lust-induced trance.
Sedusa cackles as she seems to be the one in control… but then flashes of pink, blue and green appear in front of her. She turns her head, and her smirk turns into a snarl as the camera does a round-about turn to show that floating a small distance from her were… the superheroines- the Powerpuff Girls! They are now ten years of age, showing that indeed they do & will age like normal humans. On the left is Bubbles, in the middle is Blossom and on the right is Buttercup. The trio are wearing their signature clothing that has not changed, but the wear is more suited for their pre-teen looks, as they look seriously at Sedusa.
The camera changes to show the villainess letting out a shriek and raising her gauntlet up, firing now red laser energy beams at them that erupt from the palm of the gauntlet. The girls scatter, zipping here and there as their trademark colors appear from their wake. This keeps up for a few moments, than the camera zooms out to show the whole of Townsville like before… but this time a golden comet streaks in, heading towards the city!
It soon changes back to the fight, where Sedusa is being able to hold off the PPG with her newly acquired item. However, the camera shows her facing the 4th wall and her eyes widen. The camera changes to show the golden comet that was streaking for her… and the comet shifted/changed to show that it was the halfa heroine Maria Angel, partner to hero Danny Phantom from Amity Park!
The camera shows the determined look on Maria's face as she flew in towards Sedusa, veering left and right to avoid the laser blasts until she was close to her quarry. The camera showed her connecting with a rising uppercut punch that sent the villainess reeling upwards! The camera than showed the PPG coming in from all sides; Bubbles took the bag of money and tossed it down to one of the policewomen below, who caught it. Next, it showed Blossom using her Freeze Breath on the gauntlet, which turned into ice and then shattered into pieces, revealing the now free hand of Sedusa. And finally, Buttercup came in with a punch to the villainess face that sent her crashing back down to the pavement!
The camera turned to show an aerial view of Sedusa, who was knocked down and out with a bruise on her chin and cheek.
The camera went back to ground level to see the PPG coming back to the ground, followed by Maria who congratulated the three on a job well done. Two policewomen came to the crater of Sedusa, bringing her up and cuffing her before taking her away. It seems that all is well… until a swirling white portal appears behind the superheroines!
The camera shows their faces of surprise, shock and fear. Before they could do anything, the portal sucks them in and quickly collapses on itself and closes.
The scene changes to showcase a tunnel of swirling white and blue energy, the PPG and Maria flipping through the area. They are soon enveloped in white energy until only their outlines show… and it starts to change as well!
The scene changes again, this time in front of what appears to be a large building. The portal opens up, and it seemingly spits out the four superheroines. However… they have changed! They are now anthro cats, and seeing themselves as such causes looks of panic and shock to come on their faces.
They are now in Megakat City!
The camera shows the changed superheroines looking to their right, and see the villains/villainesses of the SWAT Kats! The camera shifts to showcase the various bad guys and girls from left to right; the Metallikats- Mac and Molly Mange, Chopshop, Dr. Viper, Dark Kat with his Creepling minions, Ci-Kat-A, Turmoil, Hard Dive and Pastmaster.
The camera changes back to show the ladies very much confused and scared, then they hear something and turn around to look to their left. The camera shows many Enforcer sedans, Peace-Keeper tanks, Enforcer helicopters coming in & honing in on them! The sedan doors opened up, many male and female officers wearing Enforcer uniforms filing out with laser rifles at the ready.
After showcasing the arrival of the Enforcers, a special kind of sedan different from the rest comes forth. Getting out of the car was Commander Ulysses Feral, and by his side was his loyal officer Sgt. Talon. Coming out from the other side was Lt. Commander Steel.
The camera showed Feral with his swagger stick in hand, raising it up in the air and soon bringing it down and pointing at the PPG and Maria!
The camera changed back to show the PPG and Maria looking very much scared at this particular moment… than something happened that caused them to look up!
The camera changed to an aerial view, showing all of Megakat City… and a familiar black jet streaking in the sky! It was the TurboKat aircraft, the signature vehicle utilized by the vigilante heroes- the SWAT Kats! The camera showed the jet streaking over the city, going to where the action was down below. The canopy blasted open, and two objects ejected from it. The jet than did a U-turn, now on autopilot as it seemed to disappear over the horizon.
The two beings coming down in their specially designed ejector seats were Razor and T-Bone, the duo showing themselves to the camera as they aimed for Maria and the PPG!
When they landed, they looked at the ladies and smiled, also doing a small wave to the superheroines. The PPG look surprised, but Maria looks very much scared and it shows. The SWAT Kats faces show worry on why Maria is like that. The camera shows Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles turning to their friend and giving her a hug. It seems that it was what was needed, as Maria seems to relax and hug them back.
The camera changes to go up in the air, giving a bird's eye view as it shows the SWAT Kats, the PPG and Maria in the middle between the Enforcers and the various bad guys and girls of the SWAT Kat world. A few moments later, a blue helicopter appears and the camera shows it as the sliding door opens to reveal three female anthro cats.
The one with the wireless microphone in hand is Ann Gora, the lovely reporter from Kat's Eye News. Above her in the middle is the beautiful blonde Deputy Mayor known as Callie Briggs, who looks curiously at the situation. And above her with laser pistol in hand was Lt. Felina Feral, niece to Commander Feral. She too has a look of curiosity, but also determined to see which side to favor before making said decision.
The camera stays on them for a while as they look down at the action, than the camera turns to show the SWAT Kats, Maria and the PPG look towards the camera in battle poses. They soon charge at the camera screen, where the action freezes to show to all their charging battle poses.
The camera zooms awhile a little, where the characters are surrounded by an entirely white backdrop. Above them appear the words in red THE POWERPUFF GIRLS, and below them were the words in black RADICAL DIMENSION.
~End theme song~
Maria and the Powerpuff Girls were tumbling within the blue and white portal, the four ladies shouting out as they felt like pennies in a clothes drying machine. Miss Neverdomski than felt a tingling sensation, the kind that one gets when one's body part starts to fall asleep. She managed to look at her left hand despite the tumbling around she was doing… and was stunned to see that her hand was covered in golden light, and the light was crawling up her arm! Her eyes widened when she felt a change occurring in her hand, and when the golden light started to die down on that particular part… her hand was now covered in brown fur!
She whispered to herself in a tone that showcased shock and surprise, "What the…!? My arm! Its… it's all furry!". Indeed, she saw that her hand was furry & also that her nails now resembled claws like that of an animal. Or to be more specifically, a cat.
The girlfriend of Danny Fenton felt the tingling sensation on her right arm, turning to see that it too was undergoing the bizarre transformation. Her other hand had changed too, and now it was her arm as well. The golden light covered her arm, and when it exploded in sparkles… her arm was now covered in brown fur as well!
Maria was breathing heavily, rapidly as she felt the changes coming now all over her. She looked down to feel her legs changing, but the jeans and shows hid the transformation. She heard cries from the PPG, turning around to see them covered in golden light completely. Since they had smaller bodies, their own transformations were quicker. When the light exploded into sparkles… Maria gasped at seeing the superheroines in their new forms!
Blossom had reddish-brown fur that covered her body, her human ears replaced with triangular ears that was on her head with dark-pink skin making the insides of them & a long furry tail that was now appearing on her rear end with three splits at the tip!
Bubbles sported dark-blonde fur on her body, triangular ears on her head with blue skin within it & also a long tail that looked to be full with a cute little curl at the tip!
Buttercup now had fur that was black as the midnight sky with no moon or stars, triangular ears with green skin within them & a long tail that was slim with a curly tip that a bit more curled in than Bubbles!
Their eyes stayed the same, but now they had cat noses that had the color of their eyes, two fangs on the upper jaw area that were tiny and looked cute on them & their hair retaining their shape still along.
To Maria, the PPG had turned into anthros! Or more specifically, into anthro cats! She had been around animals long enough to identify certain parts that belonged to certain kinds of animals, and most of it was spot on. The PPG let out yelps before they passed out, seemingly the transformation had taken up much of their energy.
The young woman said to herself, "Oh my Lord! They… They turned into anthros, almost like that spirit wolf that Danny is friends with! But how…?! Why is this-?!". Whatever words that were on her lips died as she felt her own transformation still at work, looking down to see that the golden light had covered her upper area… and all that was left to finish up was the head!
She shook her head, trying to resist it but it was no use. She let out a yell that echoed through the vortex… and soon she was swallowed up by the light!
The four soon gained speed, zooming more towards their destination as a light was coming at the end of the tunnel. They had managed to cross over the universal/dimensional barriers, and they had changed due to the rules that said universe had.
~At the Puma-Dyne Advanced Technology Research Facility~
The two scientists/engineers were looking in awe as the portal remained open, very much hypnotized by the light it was giving off. The female kat that was known as Keisha spoke up in an awed tone, "Obadiah, this is monumental! To think… we are the first to break through to a new dimension! A whole new universe!".
The male kat now known as Obadiah replied in a similar tone, "I know! This will something to report to our superiors, to the news… to everyone!".
However, his smile soon faded. He started to think now, seriously think and soon his eyes widened as a look of shock now replaced the glee that was once on his face. He looked to his partner and exclaimed, "Hey wait! I just realized something!".
Keisha looked to him, a bit surprised to see the sudden change on his facial features & inquired, "What is it? What was it that you just realized?".
Obadiah remarked to her, "We know that the invention works… but what if something is BROUGHT back here to our word?! What if we brought something that is not too keen on being taken from their own world?!".
It took a moment, but Keisha now realized it as well. Something that most scientists/inventors/engineers often overlooked. Something that was left out due to focusing only on the success of their creations, the euphoria that came with it & also the positive aspects that would follow. It was a classic mistake that happened a lot in the history of scientists… they neglected to take in the bad consequences, forgetting in that lapse of judgement the effects that would happen concerning other beings.
And just as they were celebrating their moment of triumph in the world of science, to become immortalized in future history books… she realized that it was possible that they were bringing in something from a completely different universe, along with a chance that it could be hostile or worse!
Keisha was about to tell her partner to shut down the experiment… but they saw something coming through the dimensional tunnel! The duo gasped as the objects got closer quickly, and then were literally spat out from the tunnel! The anthro kats yelped as they scattered, just in time to not get flattened by whatever had just appeared. The objects slammed into the wall hard.
As soon as the objects came through entirely, the portal shrunk in on itself and soon extinguished itself with a tiny burst of blue-white light.
Keisha looked across to Obadiah, their facial features showing an extreme stunned state. The scientists did not have to say any words, as the full reality just hit them. Not only have they breeched the dimensional/universal barriers, but had brought something from said world into theirs! And who knows if it was friendly or not.
The duo looked towards the wall that the being had hit, Obadiah setting down the Dimensionator on a table that was still standing nearby, and the two went over to see what had come through. Keisha was stunned to see that now slumped against the wall was a young female kat, one that looked to be a little younger than her. And on her right side were three little kittens, yet felt that something was a bit off.
Obadiah managed to get a good look at them and stated softly, "Wow… kats! Do you think that they are from another dimension that is similar to ours?".
Keisha slowly and carefully knelt down, examining the new kats with a critical eye. One of the special qualities about her that made her a suitable employee to the company was that she had a critical eye for detail & also was able to find things that others often overlooked. She replied back to her colleague, "No… I don't think so. In fact… I would have to say that they are something else. But… something changed them into these forms.".
The male scientist looked at her in bewilderment and inquired in a tone that matched the look on his face, "Are you serious? How can you even tell?".
The beautiful she-kat answered back while examining the four beings with a gentle, soft touch, "Well for one thing, kittens like these four here are not this small. Nor do they have large eyes like so. And the taller female here looks to be older, yet… her structure seems to be different from our own, even if it's only slightly.".
Keisha finished it up, "Also, their bodies seem to be quite durable. I mean, they slammed into a concrete wall and that didn't even wake them up.".
The duo noticed that the wall behind the newcomers was cracked slightly, showing that they were thrown with tremendous force to even do that to a thick concrete wall. And yet, there did not seem to be an injuries. No blood was present in any spot, and not even a minor injury was shown.
What the scientists did not know concerning Maria was that she had actually trained herself to become durable. She had learned several things when she became a halfa, taking time to get to know her new form. In short, going to lengths to completely see the strengths and weaknesses of both forms.
She discovered that she was not a full ghost like the others from the Ghost Zone were, even letting Danny know of the information as he was a halfa as well & needed to know. What she discovered is that her and Danny's inner selves that came to be when they transformed; their spirits given physical form. So it was acceptable to say that they were not half-ghosts, but in the specific sense half-spirits since they were still alive & not deceased.
Maria also discovered that what occurred to them in their mortal forms transferred over to their spirit forms. She discovered that if she got stronger in her mortal form, her spirit form would also gain that increase in power/strength/agility/reflexes/endurance/stamina.
Danny was stunned to hear this bit of information. He was weak when in his mortal form, but strong when he went into his halfa form. And after some experimenting, discovered that Maria was on the money. So it was with that knowledge he started to work out more in his mortal form, increasing his body structure and other areas thanks to Maria's diet suggestions & exercise disciplines.
Both had endured and trained much in both forms, that anything that would have seriously hurt them as mortals was now not much a problem. Still an issue yes, but at least not a complete serious one. So now Danny and Maria could endure being hit by solid objects such as concrete and walk it off… but it would seriously sting after the battle and would still need some medical treatment.
Obadiah thought quickly and stated, "We better get these four into some kind of containment room, then notify our bosses on what we did. And when these four wake up, perhaps they can answer some of our questions.".
Keisha nodded her head and replied, "Agreed. But we better pray and hope that these four are in a mood to talk, because if I was them… I would be a bit more than peeved that I was taken from my home like so.". Her colleague nodded, also understanding that as well.
The male kat lifted up Maria up first gently, bridal-style and as about as comfortable as he could make it. Keisha gathered up the kittens in her arms, amazed on how soft their fur was. If one where to see her, they would think she had won some plushy toys from one of those crane games. The two soon left the room, going to one of the Containment Rooms that was thankfully on the Ground level they were on.
Keisha used her Employee/Clearance card to open up the door to the room, which was quite bare as the room was used only to test certain devices or to quarantine objects that had been contaminated with any of their own experiments. Thankfully, the room they were in was totally clean as it had been thoroughly scrubbed down since the last test within it which was a month ago.
She gently propped the three kittens against the wall, trying her best to make them comfortable. Keisha wished that there was a bed or any kind of comforter to put the on, but sadly there was none in the building. Obadiah gently put Maria down next to the kittens, slumped against the wall but thankfully not falling down.
The duo looked to the four newcomers to their universe for a bit, than Obadiah looked to his friend/colleague and stated, "Come, we got to notify our superiors and also call in some local police to help us with the situation.".
Keisha nodded, thinking that the local police would be best in this case instead of the Enforcers. She knew without any doubt that Commander Feral would make the situation worse if he knew about this. The two slowly walked out of the room, closing the door which automatically locked upon exiting. There was oxygen flowing in the room, so Maria and the others could still breathe. Once it was secure, the duo went back to their station which had the Dimensionator. Keisha stated to examine the device while Obadiah made the call to his bosses up above. Also, Keisha spotted their backpacks on the side of the wall.
She went towards them, correctly assuming that the objects belonged to their 'guests' and must have slipped off from their beings when they came through the portal. She picked them up and set them in a large gray tray tub, the kind that airport security uses when one puts their items in it, have it go through an X-Ray machine to see if there was anything dangerous or lethal inside, and having it come out the other end.
~An hour later~
Maria moaned as she stirred from her slumber, slowly coming to as she reached up with her right arm to scratch her head. She said to herself softly, "Ugh… did anyone get the license of that giant monster that hit me?".
She had aided the PPG in fighting off giant monsters that had managed to wander away from Monster Island, a distant island that in the Pacific Ocean. And while she used her intangibility to escape from physical harm a majority of the time… on the few times she got distracted, did not make herself intangible and got smacked hard from one of the giant creations! The first time, she felt pain unlike anything she ever felt before! And though she was durable, the attack would have left her in a bed four a couple of days to heal up.
While having a healing factor like Danny, Maria had tried to be more careful when it came to dealing with the large brutes who could hit harder than any of her foes.
It was then that Maria felt that something was different. When she rubbed her head, she felt hair yes but… also something soft around her head that was not hair. She felt fur. Miss Neverdomski was puzzled… until she got a good look at her arm and hard, her eyes widening at seeing the fur and claws that were at the tip of her fingers. The young halfa woman was soon jolted back into her memories, remembering on what occurred when she and the others had been tumbling around in the dimensional vortex.
She whispered to herself in fright and horror, "Oh no… what happened in that… portal tunnel… it was real!". Maria felt some slight movement against her, along with some soft groaning that actually was mixed with adorable mewling. She turned to her left to see three small anthro kittens that looked VERY familiar.
The red one spoke in the voice of Blossom, "Oooh… what happened?".
The yellow one replied in the voice of Bubbles, "I… I don't know… I'll let you know when my head stops pounding.".
The black one put in a tone that was similar to Buttercup, "Yeah… I feel like I went ten rounds with Fuzzy Lumpkins, Mojo Jojo in his battle suit and Him all at once.".
The kittens opened up their eyes, which were the same size and coloring of the Powerpuff Girls. Maria looked to them in awe and wonder and spoke in a perplexed tone, "Ummm… Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup. Is that… really you?".
Hearing Maria's voice caused the kittens to fully get themselves back together. They all looked to her, their eyes widening as Blossom spoke up, "Hey! Who are you and why are you…?!". Her side gaze caused her to look to her right to see Bubbles, who looked to her to ask what was wrong until she was stunned as well as seeing her sisters like so.
Bubbles exclaimed in shock, "Huh?! Wait… Blossom, Buttercup? Is that you?!".
Buttercup also looked to the duo, entering into a stunned state like her fellow sisters and their beloved babysitter. She got to her feet quick, but quickly lost balance and fell on her backside. She exclaimed, "Hey! What is going on?! Why do you three look and sound like Bubbles, Blossom and Maria?! And why… hey! I'm furry! And… I have a tail!". She looked back to see why she fell, and saw the problem which was the tail that was now throwing her body a bit off balance.
The little ones started to argue until it was Maria that quieted them by exclaiming, "Girls! Girls! Please, calm down! Arguing is not going to get us anywhere!".
The PPG knew that Maria was using her serious tone, so they did settle down even though they were bristling with questions. Once she had their attention, she spoke up once more in a forced level tone since she was still trying to come to grips on what has happened, "Listen, I remember that all of us were sucked into that portal when it appeared in our world. And when we were in it, I saw all of us change into these… new forms, I guess you could say. I believe that since we're in a different universe, we changed to abide by its rules. I think…".
The little kittens were stunned to hear this very much. They had experienced much in their careers as superheroines; they had fought giant monsters, fighting super-criminals, enduring the fickleness of media and social popularity, been in other dimensions and also traveling into space. But into a completely different universe where their forms had changed to apparently abide by this realm's own set of cosmic rules and such… now THAT took the cake!
A male voice spoke up, "I see. So you all ARE from a different universe, a totally new plane of reality.".
This made the girls leap up in fright, looking this way and that to where the voice was coming from. They soon spotted a speaker, which was right above a large glass window pane. And stepping out from the shadows appeared more anthro cats, nine to be precise. Three wore lab coats, among them was Keisha and Obadiah. Four wore fancy business suits that looked really expensive. And the remaining two wore what looked to be police uniforms, complete with helmets and wielding long rifles.
It was also that Maria also got a good look at herself thanks to the mirror. She had brown cinnamon-colored fur, while her hair was now a darker shade of it. She also had triangular ears on top of her head, with cream-colored skin within each ear. And also a long tail that was now swishing around in an agitated state.
But… it also started to trigger something within Maria's memory. Something that happened some years ago, and it involved anthro cats like them. She had managed to suppress the memories but… seeing the kats like so triggered them to bubble up back into her mind. She fought it down though, as now was not the time to freak out. Though truth be told, she was close to it.
Bubbles whimpered as she cuddled into Maria's leg, the halfa scooping her up and holding her protectively. Blossom and Buttercup were about to levitate upward, until Maria looked at them and subtly shook her head in a negative. Blossom and Buttercup soon realized on why she did that. They were now facing unknowns; unknown beings, unknown room and also unknown if they were friendly or not. And also there was a chance that they MIGHT not have their powers, and even if they did… using them right now would give away something that most likely would give them trouble & headaches in the future.
It was Obadiah who spoke through a microphone that connected to the intercom from above, "Do not be alarmed. We mean you no harm.".
Maria thought to herself that she would believe that IF they were not locked inside a room and now being viewed like lab test subjects. She looked to him and replied, "Who are you? Where are we? And why are we in this room?".
It was Keisha that answered her question, "Well, you are in a place called Puma-Dyne Advanced Technology Research Facility. It's a research facility that is located near MegaKat City. As for being in the room, well…".
Obadiah took over, "You all came through the portal we made with the Dimensionator rather hard, going against a concrete wall and being out-cold. So we had to put you in one of our Containment Rooms.". Maria and the others now knew why they felt a little sore, though the feeling was fading away quickly.
Buttercup exclaimed in an angry tone, "So YOU'RE the ones that ruined our special day off! Come over here so I can punch your lights out!". Her agitation was showing on her body, as her fur & tail were standing on end and her claws came forth. Tiny claws yes, but still sharp. Buttercup took her gaze off from the kats on the other side of the window and looked down to her hands. She was stunned to see claws on her hands, a bit surprised by this.
Keisha called out, "It was not our intention to bring you to our world, believe us on that! We had no idea that the portal on the other side would generate a vacuum-effect! We just wanted to see if our invention worked.".
Bubbles called out in a pleading tone, "Well, now that you've seen it work, send us back! I want to go home!". While she was now ten and had matured much growing up… she was still a kid, and she was scared at being in a completely new realm that apparently had its own laws and rules.
One of the anthro kats in a business suit, a female one replied back, "I am sorry, but I am afraid that is not possible for the time being.". He tone was serious, business-like with little to no empathy in it.
The others seemed to be quite upset with this, Blossom demanding in a protective tone, "What do you mean by that, lady?". Normally, she would use a little politeness and such in her tone. It was Buttercup that was usually the blunt one. But right now, after all they had been through, she was more focused on getting her sisters, both by blood and by adoption, back home.
A male kat in a business suit answered her back, "You do not realize the gravity of the situation, child. You four are from another universe, and apparently different from other kats here. We need to study you and see what kind of abilities you may have. And also to present you all to the scientific community so that we can fully understand the possibilities of inter-universal travel.".
What the PPG and Maria did not know was that the ones in the business suits were truly more interested in weaponizing the Dimensionator. After seeing proof that inter-universal travel was possible, they needed to see more into their visitors… an in-depth look that would include questionable ethical testing and such. Such as seeing if they had certain abilities and such that would be present in their current forms, how they reacted to the environment and atmosphere to a whole new world, etc.
Maria slightly tightened her grip on Bubbles protectively and asked the question, "And what if we don't want to cooperate? We don't appreciate being picked and prodded at like animals…". Her own words were a bit ironic due to her now being part-animal, but she paid little to no attention to that detail.
A different female kat in a business suit answered back in a slightly smug tone, "I do not believe you have much of a choice here. You either cooperate, or you can just stay in there. And I doubt any of you can put up going without food, water or to the bathroom.".
Maria and the others knew that she had a point, but this only made them growl at the one in the suit. The one who spoke had a smug smile on her face, until Keisha called her out and told her to knock it off. The female feline frowned at being called out and spoke down to like that, especially by a lowly employee. But some glares from her colleagues caused her to be silent, though she did send a heated glare to Keisha.
Obadiah spoke once more in a pleading tone, "Ladies, please… I ask you to just bear with this development for some time. Once we have what we need, we can send you home.". The ones in suits looked to him, but he looked back to them with a gaze that stated that he was not going to back down from. Keisha and her fellow scientist/engineer backed him up, showing that they at least had moral/ethical backbone.
Maria looked to her adopted sisters, a silent meeting that required no talking. They had come to know and trust each other over the years, and thus could know what the other thought without the need for words. Blossom and Buttercup nodded their heads, Bubbles nodding her head too while still in Miss Neverdomski's arms. So it was agreed… to cooperate with them for the time being, that is until they found a way to escape.
The young woman turned anthro looked back to the ones on the other side of the mirror and inquired, "Do you at least have our stuff? Can we have them back?".
Keisha answered back in a kind tone, "Yes, you can have them back. They came with you when you arrived, though scattered. We did take a look through them, and were surprised on what we found. But we did manage to put all of them back in their proper place.". This made the four female felines frown, as what they did was considered a serious breach of privacy. And that made their trust in the other beings drop down a couple of notches.
Maria felt her pockets, and was glad that she still had her wallet and cell phone. It seemed that they neglected to check her own being for anything, and in this case, it was a good thing.
Obadiah finished it up by stating, "We'll bring you your packs, and also to make some arrangements to move you all to a more secure and humane location. Until then, please sit tight. And… me and Keisha are sorry for doing this.". He was genuinely sorry to have brought them all in such a rough and unexpected way. He had opened to go and visit other places, but not to bring back others to their world against their own will like so.
The others started to leave, with one of the suits looking to the police kats and ordered them to stand guard & keep an eye out on them. The two rifle-wielding kats nodded their heads, taking positions at the only door to the room.
When they were gone, Maria kneeled down to Blossom and Buttercup. The two kittens rushed to her, hugging her and letting their extreme emotions bleed off like so. They were scared, and had every right to be. Despite being superheroines, they were still young children. And right now, they were in a new world and had to suppress their powers & abilities or else they would most likely make the situation MUCH more serious for them.
Maria held them tight and whispered, "Don't worry girls, it's going to be okay. It's going to be okay…". She herself was fighting the emotions within herself.
Back at the place where the Dimensionator was still propped up at, Keisha and her colleagues came back into the room. The other scientist/engineer that had joined them was a young male kat that went by the name of Reese, a fellow worker at the institute who was passionate in his work in creating objects but also had a strong moral backbone. He was a flirt to the ladies in the facility, but he also knew when to stop himself & also to not make any kind of degrading or crude jokes.
Reese looked to Keisha and Obadiah and inquired, "So… what do we do now? I mean, this is a whole new kind of territory for us.".
Obadiah answered, "First, we gather their stuff and give it back to them. I am a bit curious about some of the items in their packs, but we will need them to explain it to us. And also, we need to earn their trust however we can.".
The duo nodded their heads, as right now gaining the trust of four beings from another different universe was the focal point right now. If they did not trust them, it would make things much more difficult for everyone.
Keisha looked to the two men and stated, "You both go and give the packs back. I'm going to make a call to make to someone who I believe can help us more with this situation.". She then turned and walked towards a phone that was nearby, punching in the necessary numbers. While she did that, the men folk went to the packs that were on a table nearby. They had been examined thoroughly by them, and made sure to be put back in the correct places after taking down some notes.
When they left the area to give the items back to the four ladies, Keisha's call went through and she spoke up, "Hello, Deputy Mayor Callie Briggs? Yes ma'am, I believe we have a situation here that needs you to come to Puma-Dyne Advanced Technology Research Facility. Believe me Deputy Mayor… I think you will need to see what has been done here.".
~In a building within MegaKat City~
While this was going on, something was happening in an abandoned building that was deep within the depths in the downtown area of the metropolis. Inside the large structure that used to be an apartment complex before it got condemned four months ago due to the violating a number of safety codes, a hulking figure was standing before a large computer console that was n ow hooked into the building.
The computer was humming, indicating that it was on and a large radar screen was active as it started to blip loudly. The hulking figure spoke in a deep voice that oozed with malice and evil, "Hmmm… the radar has picked up an unusual strong energy. It spiked an hour ago, and now it seems that energy is still active. And it's coming from… ah, from Puma-Dyne Advanced Technology Research Facility! It seems that they are producing yet another item that could be of use to me.".
The being turned to show that it was Dark Kat himself, one of the most powerful and strongest villain the SWAT Kats had ever had to tangle with!
The vile villain spoke once more, "I believe it's time that I made place to visit the facility. I wonder what is it that they found, or made, that is giving off that strong energy signal. And whatever it is they have found… I will use it to bring the city and perhaps the entire world to its knees! Hahahahaha!".
So now the situation was looking more serious for the heroines!
~Back in Townsville~
While all of this was going on, there was some action going on at the Utonium household. David was in the kitchen with Alice… and on the table was Bullet along with her kids Matilda, Kasia, Rajmund and Miłosz. The squirrels were looking eagerly in anxious anticipation at the husband of Alice, who was working on a small device that looked to be a wristwatch but modified to show a speaker instead of a face showing time.
You see, it is like this:
~Flashback~
Miłosz had flown back fast to his mother and siblings, Bullet having discovered that her son was missing but was not that worried since he was capable of taking care of himself. When she saw him come to her and the others, she was going to ask on where he was… but seeing the panic in his facial features and the sudden quickness of his movements screamed to her that something was wrong.
And her instincts were proven correct as she was told by her son on what occurred earlier with Maria and the PPG. Bullet and the other kids were very worried about their friends, chattering among them on what should be done. The mother decided that the best course of action was to go the home of the PPG and inform their parents on the situation. She knew it was going to be awkward, since only Bubbles could understand them and be a translator.
Knowing that only hope for something positive to occur, the super-powered squirrels rushed off towards the human suburban dwelling.
At the residence, David and Alice were soaking in the hot tub Jacuzzi that was outside in the backyard. Professor Utonium had actually gotten it installed in February, saying that it would be good to have a place to relax in after stressful days. And it seemed that his hunch was correct, as the hot tub was used a lot by the family. And now with the kids gone with Maria, they decided to use it for some special adult quality time.
The couple had first watched a movie when the girls left, snuggling close together as they watched a classic 1992 film called Pure Country. The movie was very good, as the plot and songs brought David and Alice more together, especially the last song sung by George Strait at the end of it.
When it was done, they decided to soak in the hot tub. They got their swimsuits on, David being mesmerized almost instantly at seeing Alice in her swimsuit. She had that natural and good pull on him, but it was more special and sweet when it was all just for him. It was the same for Mrs. Utonium as she saw her husband in only his swim trunks.
Both had been in the hot tub for about thirty minutes, cuddling together as they soaked in the large tub that was filled with warm, bubbly water. However… their peaceful and romantic mood was interrupted when Bullet and her children had come in. The couple was a bit miffed at having their adult alone time cut like this… but when they saw Bullet chattering loudly and looking frantic, they believed that something was wrong.
The problem was that they could not communicate with her, but David soon remembered something that would be the solution to the problem.
The couple had gotten out of the hot tub, dried off as best they could but left their swim wear on. David had gotten to his lab, coming back up with some tools and a small watch with a speaker instead of a time face.
He told the group that he and Bubbles had been working on a project in November, which was an animal communications device. It was to be used for them to communicate with other animals as they felt it would be useful in the future. While Bubbles was invaluable as a translator, having to translate sometimes wore her down.
So they worked on the project, about halfway done when something happened. Maria had invited them all to a special Thanksgiving feast with the Fentons in Amity Park, which they accepted. And following that was the pre-holiday season rush where people went to stores to buy Christmas presents. The rush was enough for David and Bubbles to forget about their project.
But now, it seemed that it was needed to be complete.
~End flashback~
Now David was putting the finishing touches on the device as he finished one last connection within the watch. He said to himself, "And… there! It's done!".
This caused some relief and hope to spread on the faces of Alice and the others, the professor putting down his tools and looking at the wristwatch translator. He said to the group, "Well, I managed to finish it. Let's just hope it works…".
Alice crossed her fingers, the squirrel children doing the same with their paws and toes. David switched the device on, a red lighting showing for several moments… then turned green to signal that it was all set to go!
He looked to Bullet and asked, "Okay now Bullet, what is the problem?".
Bullet chattered rapidly in response, in which a female voice that was similar to the character Crysta from the 1992 animated 20th Century Fox film Ferngully: The Last Rainforest came from the speaker on the watch which translated the language. It spoke up: {Trouble! Big trouble! Maria and Powerpuff Girls gone! They are gone!}
This had David and Alice be more alert, worry and fear in their eyes and mannerisms. Mrs. Utonium exclaimed, "Gone?! What do you mean gone?!".
It was Miłosz that answered her, his voice coming from the device to sound like Zack from the mentioned movie. It translated the squirrel: {I followed them, and saw big blue and white hole open up from the very air! It sucked them in! I told Mom and the others, came to tell you!}.
David and Alice looked in each other in alarm, knowing now that Maria and their children were pulled into a dimensional tear of some kind. But what kind… they did not know. Alice spoke up, "Dear, we got to make some calls now!".
Her husband nodded, knowing that now was the time to make some calls and also to try and make sense on what was going on.
This would only be the beginning for something that they never dreamed of!
~Outro; credits & song Somewhere Out There
The music plays as the screen is black, then shows a scene where a bedroom was at. The credits rolled upwards from the right side of the screen, going from the bottom all the way to the top. It was a simple bedroom with a dresser and old-school TV set. On the bed, covered in a large blanket, are Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. They are in their anthro forms, snuggled together cutely as they are asleep in their new pajamas. The camera focuses on them for some moments, than slowly pans to the right to show someone looking out a window. Said window showed that it was nighttime, the stars shining brightly in the sky.
The being sitting near the window on a stool was Maria in her anthro kat form, also in some new pajamas as well. As the song lyrics came up, the camera slowly transitioned to show the face of Maria. Her eyes showed longing and sadness, looking through the window. The scene changed so that everyone could see what she was seeing, which was MegaKat City. The lights of the city were aglow, showing much activity there. The city was shown for several moments, than panned upwards towards the starry sky.
The camera changed to show Maria's face, a lone tear coming down her face.
The camera zoomed in slowly on her face for a few moments, than changed immediately to show the sky full of stars and a full moon.
After some moments, the camera switched and lowered down to show the house of the PPG. Three people could be seen from the middle window of the room on the top floor. The camera switched to show a close-up of the window, and it showed an older Danny Fenton on the left, Mrs. Alice Keane-Utonium in the middle and Mr. David Utonium on the right.
The camera showed David hugging Alice close, both showing extreme concern on their faces. Alice held her husband close, a tear slipping from their eyes as they showed they missed their daughters very much.
The camera than panned towards Danny, who was also looking worried as he looked at the moon. The camera soon changed to show said celestial object, and zooming into towards the silver orb. Soon, the face of Maria appeared in it but in her human form.
It soon changed back to show Danny, the scene now becoming wavy to indicate that something was taking place in an imagination realm. The scene becomes entirely black, than it shows Danny and Maria hugging each other lovingly and tightly. The scene stays like this for a few moments, than both images fade but the scene is still entirely black.
Appearing in a fade-in was Maria, who was still in her anthro form. She was still looking down, until someone appeared to wrap their arms around her. The camera showed that it was Danny, but in an anthro form as well! He had black fur, a white t-shirt on, blue jeans on & also a long black tail. He looked to be done in the body form of Jake. His tail wrapped and intertwined around Maria's own tail.
The two hugged one another lovingly, than something happened. The image appeared to shrink in size slightly, and appearing underneath it on the right-hand corner was Maria. It seemed that this was a night-dream sequence of sort. As Anthro-Maria appeared, so did Danny across from her. The image of him and Maria in her human form appeared above him, the two images directly opposite of one another.
The four images were shown like a formation of a square, in the middle as the moon as the credits rolled on by and finished up along with the song.

So Maria and the others are held captive against their will by Puma-Dyne Advanced Technology Research Facility. And it seems that they have gained the attention of some forces, both good and bad. And they cannot use their powers or abilities, least they cause more trouble for themselves.
And now it seems that David and Alice have been informed, and who knows what else will happen when it's discovered that Maria and the PPG are gone. Stay tuned for the next chapter to come soon!
