This chapter is based on Stoneheart featuring Evie with some changes.

The following morning, Evie woke up and got ready for another day at school. After yesterday, Evie hoped that today wouldn't be as bad.

"Morning Evie," Starr said.

"So, yesterday wasn't a dream?" Evie asked.

"You wasn't dreaming about yesterday. It really happened," Starr replied.

"That means..." Evie didn't finish what she was saying. Instead, she grabbed her phone and found the news. She pressed play. A video showed the motionless people that had been turned into stone beings. The news reporter (Nadja) spoke.

"The stone beings are scattered all over Paris, and for the time being they show no sign of moving. Police have cordoned off the area."

The picture changes to a man (Andre) standing next to a police officer. "We won't stop until we find a way to turn these people back to normal but for now, we're not making much progress."

Nadja reappeared next to a picture of Ladybug, Chat Noir and Snow Leopard. "Paris is relying on our new guardian angles Ladybug, Chat Noir and Snow Leopard to save us. Our lives depend on them."

The video stopped playing.

"All those people. I'm not sure If I'm cut out for this job anymore," Evie said.

"Evie, don't worry. You're going to go back with Ladybug and Chat Noir and fix this mess. You have to stay strong. Ladybug will need your help," Starr said.

Evie went into the kitchen where her Mum waited for her. Her Mum had her work clothes on. Evie's dad still lived with them but often spent a lot of time away.

"Morning Evie, I'm off to work now. Have a good day at school."

"Morning, Mum," Evie said. "I will. See you later."

Evie arrived at school. The courtyard was filled with students from different classes and year groups. She noticed Ivan, the boy that had been Stoneheart with a crowd of people from her class around him.

Evie decided that she wouldn't go over to them. Instead, she sat down on a bench. Evie wasn't expecting anyone to come and sit down next to her but they did. It was a girl with short brown hair, brown eyes and freckles. She wore black jeans, a white top and a black leather jacket.

"Hi," the girl said. "You must be new here. I'm Caragh."

"Hi. I'm Evie. I started yesterday. I just moved here from Glasgow," Evie said.

"What's Glasgow like? Did you live there long, it must have been hard to leave it behind," Caragh said.

"It wasn't that bad. I mean... the city that is... I didn't really make any friends. I was only there for a year. My parents move around a lot for work," Evie replied. "What about you?"

"I've been in Paris most of my life. My parents moved here when I was 4. I'm originally from Ireland," Caragh said.

"That means you must know this school and the students well," Evie said.

"Well, I guess I do. Why?" Caragh asked.

"Do you know Marinette?" Evie asked.

"Ah, you mean Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I don't know her that well. She's never been in the same class as me but she seems nice. Her family own the bakery across the street from the school," Caragh replied.

"Interesting. I think that she tried to make friends with me yesterday in the library before the whole stone monster thing," Evie said. "I was rude to her tho."

"That sounds like her," Caragh said. "Maybe you should give her another chance but for now we should get to class."

"Yeah. It was nice meeting you, Caragh," Evie said.

Evie walked into the classroom and took her seat. The teacher hadn't arrived yet. Most of the people in her class spent time talking to each other. They only stopped talking when two people walked into the classroom. One of them is a girl with light honey blonde hair tied back in a ponytail and cobalt blue eyes. The other is a boy with brushed back blond hair and emerald green eyes.

"This is your seat Adrikins. I saved it for you. Right in front of me," The girl said.

"Thank you Chloe," the boy said as he sat down next to the boy at the front of the classroom who wore a baseball cap.

Evie watched as the blonde-haired girl went over to Marinette and Alya's seats. She placed a piece of chewing gum on the edge of the seat.

"Hey, what's all that about?" the boy asked.

"The brats that sat here yesterday need a little attitude adjustment. I'm just commanding a bit of respect that's all," Chloe said.

"Respect is earned," Evie said as she stood up.

"Excuse, me. Do you know who you are talking to?" Chloe asked.

"Someone that doesn't know what respect is," Evie replied.

"My daddy, the Mayer will have you moved to a different school," Chloe said.

"He can't do that. Nice try tho. I've dealt with my fair share of people like you," Evie said as she turned around and went back to her seat. She wasn't sure what had caused her to stand up for two people she didn't know well but it felt good.

"That was awesome. I've never seen anyone stand up to Chloe like that," Someone said.

"Thanks, I guess," Evie replied as Marinette and Alya walked in.

Evie watched as Marinette blamed Adrian and Chloe for the chewing gum on her seat. Evie wanted to tell the truth but wasn't sure if Marinette would believe her.

Miss Bustier walked into the classroom and started to take the register.

"Agreste Adrien" Miss Bustier called.

The new boy at the front who, Evie learned was called Adrien stood up. "Present" Most of the students laughed at this. Miss Bustier smiled at Adrien and he sat down.

"Bourgeois Chloe."

"Present." Chloe said.

"Bruel Ivan."

The door to the classroom gets smashed as Stoneheart entered the classroom. Ivan had been re-akumatized.

Panic spread through the classroom and the school. Students hid under the desks and those that were lucky managed to get to safety. Evie hid under her desk, waiting for the madness to die down.

Stoneheart picked a girl, called Mylene up and held her.

"Let go of me Ivan?" Mylene asked.

"I'm not Ivan anymore. I'm Stoneheart."

"Why are you doing this?" Mylene asked.

"So you and I can be together forever," Stoneheart replied.

After taking Chloe and Mylene, Stoneheart punched a hole in the wall and jumped out of the hole.

Evie came out from under the table and was about to leave the classroom to find a place to transform when she noticed Alya and Marinette.

"Evie, you're coming right. You don't want to miss Ladybug and Snow Leopard in action," Alya said. This confused Evie. Maybe yesterday in the library had been a misunderstanding.

"That's not a wise idea Alya," Evie said as Alya ran out of the classroom.

Evie hid in the girl's toilets and let Starr come out of her bag.

"I still can't believe that Alya chased after Stoneheart," Evie said. "Most people would run away from the danger not towards it. If it was me I would still be hiding under the desk."

"Does that mean that you're giving up?" Starr asked.

"Not yet. As you said before, Ladybug, Chat Noir and I are going to fix this mess and teach whoever is behind this a lesson," Evie said.

"Well that didn't take much," Starr said as she smiled at Evie. "You know the words."

"Starr, Blend in," Evie said.

Evie managed to get out of the school and found herself on the streets of Paris. Cars, bits of rubble and holes could be seen all over the place.

Chat Noir had been captured by one of the stone beings and Ladybug hadn't arrived. Evie felt scared and wondered if she had made the right choice.

The stone beings had moved down the street, one of them carrying Chat Noir. Evie knew that she would never forgive herself if something happened to Chat Noir when she could have done something to stop it.

Using her weapon, she pulled herself up onto the rooftop.

"Chat Noir extend it," Someone called. Evie looked around and saw that Ladybug had joined them.

Ladybug threw Chat Noir his baton that he extended. He escaped from the stone being. Ladybug then used her Yo-Yo to pull him up to the roof.

"It's nice of you girls to drop in," Chat Noir said. "You know how to turn my world upside down."

"Oh, you're quite the jokester," Ladybug said.

"I agree, but right now we need to get out of here," Evie said.

"Are we going to take care of them?" Chat Noir asked.

"No, if we want to save them all, we have to go to the source," Ladybug said as she showed Evie and Chat Noir an image of the original stone heart on the Eiffel Tower. "That one."

Evie, Ladybug and Chat Noir arrived at the Eiffel Tower. Stoneheart had Mylene in his hand. Ladybug had arrived just in time to save Chloe, who Stoneheart had thrown from the tower. The news reporters watched and wondered what would happen next.

"Ok, we are clear to attack," Officer Roger said.

"No, don't, you will make things worse," Evie told them.

"I have a plan, unlike you. Move aside and let the pros do their thing. You've already failed once."

"He's right you know," Ladybug said. "If I had captured Stoneheart's Akuma in the first place, none of this would be happening."

"They're wrong, Ladybug," Evie said.

"Yeah, if it wasn't for you then Chloe wouldn't be here right now. And because without us they won't make it, we'll prove that to them. Trust me," Chat Noir said.

Stoneheart started coughing, he fell back and a swarm of dark purple butterflies flew out from his mouth, creating a head shape.

"People of Paris, listen carefully. I'm Hawkmoth."

Evie, Ladybug and Chat Noir gasped. "Hawkmoth."

"Ladybug, Chat Noir, Snow Leopard, give me the Ladybug earrings, the cat ring and the leopard bangle. You've done enough damage to these innocent people," Hawkmoth said.

Ladybug is suddenly filled with confidence and steps forward. "Nice try Hawkmoth, but we know who the bad guy is. Let's not reverse the roles here. Without you none of these innocent victims would be transformed into villains. Hawkmoth, no matter how long it takes, we will find you and you will give us your Miraculous."

Ladybug jumped up to the Eiffel Tower and used her Yo-Yo to capture all the Akumas. "Let me make this promise to you. No matter who wants to harm you Ladybug, Chat Noir and Snow Leopard will do everything in our power to keep you safe." She opened her Yo-Yo and lots of purified butterflies flew out and into the sky.

"Wow, it's like she's a different person from yesterday," Evie said.

"Whoever she is under that mask. I love her," Chat Noir said.

"Someone's got a crush," Evie said as she looked Chat Noir. The cat themed hero blushed.

Stoneheart got back up and started climbing the tower with Mylene in his fist. Evie and Chat Noir joined Ladybug on the Eiffel Tower.

"You will never take Mylene from me," Stoneheart called out.

"Help me," Mylene cried.

"What do we do now? We're surrounded," Evie asked.

"She's right. We can't attack him," Chat Noir added.

"Yes, but we know where the Akuma is," Ladybug replied.

"In his clenched fist. The one his holding Mylene with." Chat Noir said.

"We know he's in love with her," Evie started to say before Ladybug had an idea.

"Thats it. We don't separate Stoneheart and Mylene. We bring them together. They're made for each other. They just don't realise it yet," Ladybug said.

"Not really following you but something tells me that's how it's going to be from here on out," Chat Noir told them.

The three heroes climbed up to the top of the tower.

"Help. I'm scared of heights," Mylene cried out.

"Everything going to just fine," Ladybug reassured Mylene.

"How are you planing on getting them closer?" Evie asked.

"By using our powers," Ladybug replied, "Lucky Charm."

Ladybug got a parachute. "A parachute? What am I supposed to do with this?"

Evie and Chat Noir looked up at Ladybug from where they were busy trying to stop the stone beings.

"You sure you know what you're doing?" Chat Noir asked.

"Yeah, his hand. Get ready," Ladybug said as she tied her yo-yo around Stoneheart's hand. Mylene and Stoneheart got pulled together which caused there lips to meet. Stoneheart dropped the paper and Mylene but she managed to grab on the his finger.

Ladybug grabbed the paper and broke it, which caused Stoneheart to turn back into Ivan. Mylene and Ivan started to free fall from the top of the tower.

"Chat, take care of Ivan," Ladybug said.

Realising that she couldn't capture the Akuma and save Mylene so she gave Evie the parachute. Evie jumped off the tower and fell towards Mylene. She used the parachute so slow down their landing once she had ensured that Mylene was with her.

"It's ok now. We are back on the ground," Evie reassured Mylene.

Ladybug, Chat Noir and Ivan joined them. Ladybug opened her Yo-Yo and let the pure white butterfly free.

"Here. I think you will be needing this" Evie said as she gave the parachute to Ladybug.

Ladybug smiled at Evie before throwing the parachute into the air "Miraculous Ladybug!"

Everyone watched as the parachute turned into lots of tiny ladybugs that flew around and repaired the damage caused by Stoneheart. The people that had been turned into stone beings turned back to normal, and had no memory of what happened to them.

"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Chat Noir asked.

"Yeah, it's beautiful, amazing, uh, Miraculous" Ladybug replied.

"It certainly is" Evie added.

The police cleared up the area while the news reporters packed away their camers and equipment.

Ladybug turned to Ivan and Mylene. They two teenagers looked at each other but didn't know what to say, Ivan had a worried look on his face as he approached Mylene.

"I think you two have something to talk about," Ladybug said as she passed the paper to Mylene. "Maybe it would be easier if you read the lyrics to Ivan's song."

"Wow, its really beautiful. It's a shame you can't hear them when you scream, I mean when you sing," Mylene said as she looked at the song.

"I'm sorry if I scared you. I will be gentle" Ivan said Mylene hugged Ivan.

"They a so made for each other" Evie thought to herself.

"Oh, they are made for each other" Ladybug said.

"Just like the two of us," Chat Noir said as his miraculous beeped, warning him that he didn't have much time left.

"See that. It's time for us to split," Ladybug said.

"See you again M'lady and Snowy," Chat Noir said as he left. Evie watched.

"See you again, Ladybug. You were amazing today."

"I couldn't have done it with out you," Ladybug said.

Evie arrived back at school. She was in time for her afternoon lessons. After talking with Caragh for a bit, Evie made her way to class.

The rest of the school day went by quickly and before Evie knew it was time to head home. As Evie walked outside the front doors, she noticed that the weather had changed. The blue sky had been replaced with pouring rain. Evie sighed, she didn't put an umbrella in her bag.

It was only when she turned around that she noticed Marinette.

"Maybe you should try and talk to her" She remembered Caragh's advice.

"Hi," Evie started to say.

"Hi," Marinette said.

"I wanted to say sorry for yesterday. I was rude to you. Maybe we could start over if you want to," Evie said.

"I should be the one saying sorry, I just walked over without thinking but we can start again," Marinette said. "Hi, I'm Marinette, its nice to meet you."

"I'm Evie, I just moved here, I hope that we can be friends," Evie said as she noticed a familiar car pulling up outside the school. It was her Mum.

"Would you like a lift. I'm sure my Mum won't mind" Evie asked.

"It's nice of you to offer but I only live across the road. I don't mind walking," Marinette replied. "I guess I will see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow, Marinette," Evie said, before she left. She looked over her shoulder and noticed that Marinette was talking with Adrian.

"Looks like everything worked out well in the end," Evie said as she walked towards the car.

Starr poked her head out fo Evie's pocket. "Nice to see that you took Caragh's advice and put yourself out there."

"I've got a good feeling about this year," Evie said as she opened the car door. Her Mum smiled at her and they pulled away from the school.

Hidden under an umbrella, Master Fu watched as the three miraculous holders left. His Kwami Wayzz sat on his shoulder.

"Excellent choices, Master," Wayzz said.

"The cat and the bug are made for each other," Master Fu said.

"And the leopard?" Wayzz asked.

"Only time will tell but I have a good feeling about her," Master Fu said.

I've finally finished chapter two of Blending In.

I decided not to use Evie's hero name when she speaks as it gets a bit confusing for me.
