This chapter is based on The Evillustrator featuring Evie with some changes.
Evie was sitting in a boring Science lesson listening to Ms Mendeleiev, her teacher. The teacher walked around the classroom until she came to Nathaniel's desk. Nathaniel had his sketchbook out and appeared to be drawing something.
"Nathaniel, what are you drawing?" Ms Mendeleiev asked. "These artistic endeavours are why you are failing science."
"I'm sorry," Nathaniel said.
"You go march yourself down to the principals offer and tell him why you think it's acceptable to draw in my class," Ms Mendeleiev told him.
Nathaniel packed his things away and made his way to the door. He tripped over a bag and dropped his sketchbook. Chloe picked it up and looked.
"Oh, look Sabrina. It's him as a superhero. And look who he's saving. It's Marinette," Chloe said. "He's so totally crushing on you, Marinette."
"Enough, Nathaniel, go," Ms Mendeleiev said. Evie noticed that Chloe kept turning around and smirking at Marinette.
It was hard for Evie to focus as she sat in the row behind Marinette.
Ms Mendeleiev started talking about their next task. They would be put into groups. Each group had to create a presentation on particle physics.
"The next particle physic presentation group is Nino, Adrien and Alya," Ms Mendeleiev said. "And then Sabrina, Chloe, Evie and Marinette."
"Uh, Miss can't you add them to another group. Sabrina and I work much better on our own," Chloe complained.
"This is a group presentation, not pairs. Deal with it," Ms Mendeleiev told her.
"I hate dealing with it," Chloe complained as she looked at Marinette and Evie.
After class, Evie walked over to Marinette and Alya's table Marinette was trying to convince Alya to swap groups with her. Alya didn't want to.
"Looks like we are working together Marinette," Evie said as they left the classroom.
In the locker room, Evie had just closed her locker and turned around to see Chloe and Sabrina. They appeared to be talking about the project.
"Forget it, Sabrina. I don't have time for some dumb project. Besides, now you have Marinette and Evie to help you," Chloe said.
"Ok, that's fine, Chloe, We'll do the work don't worry," Sabrina said.
"Um, is everything ok?" Marinette asked.
"It's fine, Marinette," Chloe replied.
"Well then, why can't you help us with the project," Marinette asked. "None of your business, Miss Nosy." Chloe replied.
Evie decided to join them at this point.
"Marinette and I are in this group as well. You may not like it , Chloe. I don't either but that's part of life," Evie said.
"It's ok, Marinette, Evie. We can do the research and the writing for the project and then Chloe can present it. That's way it's equal" Sabrina told them.
"That's not equal at all. Is that how you two work?" Marinette asked.
"Yeah. We've been doing this ever since grade school, when I started doing Chloe's home work. We've been BFFs ever since" Sabrina said.
Evie felt a bit sorry for Sabrina.
"You got a problem with that. Come on, Sabrina" Chloe said.
"You know that you don't have to do everything that Chloe tells you to do, Sabrina," Evie said.
"Evie's right, Sabrina. Chloe's totally taking advantage of you. Thats not how a real best friend acts," Marinette added.
"Ugh, not only am I Sabrina's best friend, I'm her only friend, so she better do what I say, cause without me, she has nothing," Chloe said.
"Well, I'd rather have no friends than be friends with you." Marinette told Chloe. "Whatever. I've got more important things to worry about. My hair is a hot mess and Jean Claude promised to work his magic. Later" Chloe said as she walked out of the locker room.
"It sounds like you and Chloe have a troubled past," Evie said.
"Chloe and I have known each other for a long time. In fact we used to be friends. I don't know what happened but one day, Chloe started to be mean and nasty. We have been in the same class for four years now and every year she tries to make my life miserable. If it wasn't for Alya and you then I would never of had the courage to stand up to her," Marinette told Evie.
"I don't think that I really did anything. It was mostly you Marinette," Evie said. "I guess I will see you in the library to work on the project."
In the library, Evie was busy making notes for the project. Marinette was reading a book about particle physics and Sabrina was talking to Chloe.
"Ugh. What do you mean, you're not doing my assignment?" Chloe asked.
"Marinette and Evie are right. I'm not your slave," Sabrina replied.
"I don't think I said those exact words," Evie said, looking up from the notes.
"I never actually said that," Marinette added.
"I have a super cute beret that I just got from Gabriel's and perhaps I could lend it to you," Chloe said as she took the beret from her bag to show Sabrina.
"Excuse me but are you trying to bribe her into staying your friend. With a hat?" Marinette asked.
"A really adorable hat. That would look fantastic on me," Sabrina replied.
"No excuse from me but you are trying to steal my friend from me with homework," Chloe said.
"Can we actually focus on the work?" Evie asked, getting annoyed by the arguing.
Unknown to the four girls, someone was watching them from the top floor of the library. The girls tried to go back to the project but suddenly berets started to fall from the sky and one of them landed on Chloe.
"Ok, it's not everyday you see that," Evie said as a hairdryer appeared in front of Chloe.
Evie hid behind one of the bookcases.
"Time to transform," Evie said "Starr, blend in."
Evie (Snow Leopard) joined Ladybug and Chat Noir. Ladybug had stopped the hairdryer which vanished on its own.
"Well that guy looks sketchy," Chat Noir said as he pointed towards the top floor of the library.
The three heroes jump up to the top floor and try to catch the villain but he draws a glass wall, causing them to run into it and fall over.
"We did he go?" Ladybug asked, noticing that the villain had disappeared.
"I'm not sure but he sure has a way of illustrating his point," Chat Noir replied.
Evie laughed at the pun while Ladybug sounded annoyed.
The three heroes found themselves standing in Chloe's room at Le Grand Paris Hotel.
"Seems this Evillustrator is targeting you specifically Chloe. Any idea why," Chat Noir asked.
Evie had her doubts about who Evillustrator was but after hearing Chat Noir she knew that it was Nathaniel.
"No, everyone adores me," Chloe replied. She didn't really care.
"Yeah, because your so adorable," Ladybug said.
"Yes, Ladybug just said that I'm adorable. I totally need a picture of us together," Chloe said as she tried to take a picture with Ladybug.
"Sorry, I'm a little camera shy," Ladybug said.
"Looks like someones got a fan," Chat Noir said.
"Yeah, great," Ladybug sighed.
Evie looked around the room and her eyes landed on the picture of Super Nathan and Marinette that Chloe had drawn on. Ladybug looked at the same picture before walking out onto the balcony. Evie followed.
"Talk about being in an uncomfortable situation," Evie said. "I'm a bit camera shy as well. You don't have to stay."
Ladybug smiled at Evie and then left.
"Where did Ladybug go?" Chat Noir asked.
"Ladybug had a secret mission," Evie said. "She had to leave."
Evie was beginning to get bored. Chloe had managed to convince Chat Noir to do her Physics project and she stood on the balcony keeping watch.
Her weapon started to ring. It was Ladybug.
"What's up?" Evie asked.
"I'm sorry about earlier. It wasn't cool. You can leave Chloe. I need Chat and you to protect this girl. Her names Marinette. The Evillustrator is in love with her and promised not to harm Chloe as long as Marinette comes to his birthday party," Ladybug said.
"What about you? Are you coming?" Evie asked.
"I'll still be on my very important secret mission. I'll catch up with you later," Ladybug said.
Evie went to find Chat Noir.
"We need to go," Evie said pointing towards the balcony.
"What? Where? Have you spoken to Ladybug?" Chat Noir asked.
"Yeah. The Evillustrator has a crush on this girl called Marinette. He invited her to his birthday party and said he won't target Chloe if she goes," Evie replied showing Chat Noir the picture Ladybug sent her.
"She's cute" Chat Noir commented. "I'm not surprised the Evillustrator has a crush on her."
"You're not jealous, are you?" Evie teased.
"Of course not," Chat Noir replied. "Lets go and warn Marinette."
"I have something to do first but let's meet up later," Evie said.
Time Skip
Evie managed to sneak back out after an awkward conversation where her parents. She was not expecting her dad to be there, he wasn't due back from his work trip for another day. His company had sent him back early with a job more local. He would be taking photos of the hero statue unveiling.
Evie ran and jumped across the rooftops. She found Chat Noir and Marinette trapped under a glass box inside a boat that was sinking. Marinette appeared to be talking to Chat Noir and then he used his staff to get rid of the box. He holds Marinette and jumped off the boat to wear Evie was standing.
"Sorry, I couldn't get away," Evie said.
"Not a problem. Marinette and I made quite the team there. Evillustrator's going after Chloe again" Chat Noir said.
"We should go then. Hopefully Ladybug joins us" Evie said.
In the hotel, Chloe was running away from a high-heeled shoe.
Evillustrator watched Chloe. Evie was about to use her weapon to stop the shoe from chasing Chloe when a familiar Yo-Yo broke the heel.
"Opps. Brooke you heel. Better watch your ankle," Ladybug said.
"Well, Well, look what the cat dragged in," Chat Noir said.
"No cat dragged me. I flew in all on my own," Ladybug said.
"So, what was the secret mission?" Chat Noir asked.
"It wouldn't be a secret if I told you, Kitty," Ladybug replied.
"In the comic books this is what's called the final show down. The thing is, if you knew her, you wouldn't be breaking a sweat the save her. She's the real baddie," Evillustrator said.
"Oh it's not true, everyone adores me," Chloe said.
The Evillustrator uses his pen to draw three boxing gloves and sends them towards the three heroes.
"Look out" Chat Noir warned them.
Evillustrator drew a buzz saw which almost hit Chloe but Evie used her weapon to stop it. Chat Noir split his baton in two and threw them at Evillustator. One of the sticks hits a light bulb, smashing it. The Evillustator moved to another light so he could see better.
"The light. Chat Noir. He can't draw in the dark," Ladybug said.
"Go it," Chat Noir said. He tried to use his cataclysm on the light switch but the Evillustator noticed this and erased it.
"Here you go kitty," Evillustrator said "A nice ball and chain for you to play with."
"Sadly those who get in my way get erased," A large hole appeared in the floor. Evie and Ladybug tried not to fall into it.
"This cat doesn't have nine lives" Chat Noir called out as he noticed that he didn't have much time left before he transformed back.
Ladybug used her 'Lucky Charm' and got a bouncy ball. She looked around her to figure out how to use it. Ladybug then whispered her plan to Evie.
Evie used her power to turn invisible and distract the Evillustator. Ladybug threw the bouncy ball, causing all the lights to smash. Evie grabs the pen from the Evillustator and throws it across the room where Ladybug caught it.
She broke it and freed the akuma. "No more evil doing for you little akuma. Time to de-evilize" Ladybug said as she used her Yo-Yo capture and purified the akuma. Shen then realised a pure white butterfly. "Bye Bye little butterfly" "Miraculous Ladybug" She threw the bouncy ball into the air.
Evillustrator turned back to Nathaniel who looked confused. "What am I doing in Chloe's room?" He said.
"Pound it," Ladybug, Chat Noir and Evie said.
Chat Noir hurried away before he transformed back. Evie didn't hang around either.
Evie made it home and snuck in through her window. Her Mum had gone to bed. Evie knew that she should have gone to sleep but she couldn't. There was something that she wanted to do.
Sitting down at her desk, she took a notebook out and wrote down the names of the people that had been akumatized so far.

"Evie, what's the list about?" Starr asked as she flew over with a biscuit.
"Just research," Evie replied. "I think Hawkmoth has an obsession with my school for some reason. I'm just keeping a recored. It might be useful one day."
