hello again, this is chapter 1 of Neo's mission. I hope you enjoy it, I apologise for it being short, I will try to make the next one longer. Enjoy :)
After Neo landed on the ground safely, she went into hiding. She was still crying after Roman's death and hurt by some grimm in the sky. She eventually reached a safe house… or rather an abandoned house in the woods. she used her semblance to make it completely invisible to anyone else.
The house was fully furnished, Roman had it furnished in case he and Neo had to lay low for a while. Neo went upstairs to take a shower to wash off the blood stains on her. She usually took a bath to feel more relaxed, but decided to do something more quick. once she had finished, she put on some pyjamas and went to bed.
Ruby Rose had escaped the crashing airship. She couldn't help but feel guilt, yet she didn't know why. She then remembered the girl with the umbrella and Roman. Ruby had witnessed Roman's death, she felt that Roman had a connection with the girl. She knew the girl would be holding Ruby to blame, so Ruby decided to find this girl and apologise for what she had done.
Ruby knew this was the right thing to do, but she had a bad feeling about this.
2 weeks later
Neo had spent 2 weeks inside the safe house. she hadn't been able to sleep much due to the same constant dream she kept getting about Roman's death. she was focused on training to get revenge on the person who did this, but eventually, she knew that it wasn't Ruby's fault, but rather a Griffon. Neo stopped training entirely and spent her days watching the news with Neopolitan ice cream.
However, the unexpected happened. She heard someone knock at her door, her semblance had stopped the illusion she had set on the house. she got up and walked over to answer the door, only to be left in utter shock.
Ruby: hello, do you mind if I cou-
Ruby went silent, she had unintentionally found the girl she was looking for. she was different though, her eyes were both Gray as if they had their colour drained, her clothes were just tracksuits and a t-shirt with a blanket wrapped around her.
Ruby: oh my god, what happened to you?
Neo: karma.
Was she serious? or was she just joking around?
Neo: my past actions have finally come back to stab me in the back, why are you even here? to make fun of me?, to arrest me?, or perhaps to finish me off?
The girl sounded as if she was tired of living and wanted to end it all. Ruby knew that she wouldn't take lightly to Roman's death, but this… this was a whole other level. Before Ruby could say another word, she passed out due to the cold.
