Morning came, as Ruby had woken up from a surprisingly peaceful sleep. She looked to her side only to see Neo asleep beside her. Ruby couldn't help but smile at the sight of her, had she actually slept with her?

Ruby laid back down and pulled the blanket over her, Neo shifted a bit but ended up facing Ruby instead of waking up. Ruby used this time to reflect on the battle of Beacon, she tried to remember anything from the tower. She remembered Pyrrha and Cinder on top of the tower, Cinder stabbed Pyrrha and then… a flash of light. Why was remembering something as small as that so hard?

Neo suddenly shifted a bit more and began to open her eyes. Her eyes were no longer Gray, her right eye was brown while her left eye was pink. They were beautiful.

Neo: Ruby?

Ruby: Yes Neo?

Neo: why are you staring at my chest?

Ruby suddenly realised that Neo's bra was slightly misplaced, she was looking at her eyes for one second and her upper chest in the next.

Ruby: I… I wasn't! I was… you were… umm… your… eyes! Their colour returned and I never got to see their full colour!

Ruby prayed that Neo believed her lie, well it wasn't technically a lie, it was half true and half false. Neo began to blush as she stared at Ruby, Ruby looked down and realised…

Ruby: Uh oh! Look away!

Ruby jumped out of bed and landed on the floor, covering her own upper chest with her hands.

Ruby: Have you seen my…

Neo: It's here.

Neo grabbed her clothes and Ruby did the same, the two looked the opposite way, dressed up and went downstairs.

Neo had made breakfast for her and Ruby, the both of them stayed silent for quite some time till Ruby came up with a conversation idea.

Ruby: What's your favourite weapon?

Neo: Huh?

Ruby: I said, what's your favourite weapon?

Neo thought for a bit before answering.

Neo: A hush, its elegant, practical and great for a rainy day.

Ruby: Like the one at the fireplace? Is that your one?

Neo: Yeah, I had to go through a lot of rain, so I left it there to dry. Guess I forgot about it. What's your weapon?

Ruby: My scythe, it's big, strong and has a built in sniper rifle!

Neo did see the scythe before, but it brought back memories of… her. Ruby saw Neo deep in thought and instantly knew what she was thinking of.

Ruby: You're thinking of Cinder Fall, aren't you?

Neo couldn't help but feel hatred for Cinder. It was her idea to unleash millions of Grimm into Beacon. If it was anyone that was to blame for Roman's death, it was Cinder.

Neo: I… I can't.

Ruby: Can't what?

Neo: I can't beat her… she's too strong for me…

Ruby: Then don't, don't fight her alone, she caused many problems for the both of us, if we team up, we could defeat her and make her pay for what she has done to not only us two, but all of remnant.

Ruby's idea was… stupid, completely risky and reckless… but it was perfect.

Neo: let's say we leave tomorrow? Like this we get time to pack. I already know where she's going.

Ruby: Haven academy!

Neo: Precisely.

It was night once more and Neo had gone to town to get some takeout. Ruby looked through the selection of movies that Neo had to watch during their meal. Basically all of them were romantic in some sort of way, it looked like Neo really liked romance stories.

Neo: I'm back! Found anything you like?

Ruby: what is your opinion on romance?

Neo: I love romance stories, they just make me feel good.

Ruby: fair enough.

Ruby and Neo sat down on the couch with takeout on the coffee table as they watched the movie Ruby chose. It was about a girl who had to hide her true identity from the rest of the world except from a boy who accidentally discovered her secret. It was… interesting, to say the least.

At least Neo was enjoying herself, Ruby thought to herself. Ruby couldn't help but feel something towards Neo, it was like she felt love for her. Although that was exactly what she felt for her, she decided to make a move hoping for the best. She put her hand over Neo's hand, Neo looked at her confused until Ruby stared her in the eyes. Neo instantly knew this kind of thing from her many movies. Neo quickly leaned in for a kiss, she had caught Ruby off guard causing the two of them to fall over onto the floor. The two looked at each other and both burst into laughter.

Neo: I am so sorry Ruby, I don't know what came over me.

Ruby: No, I'm the sorry one, I thought you were in love with me so I tried to test my theory.

Neo looked at Ruby and the smiled, she hadn't felt this happy since she was with Roman. She immediately jumped onto Ruby to kiss her again, this time Ruby was prepared and the two kissed passionately for a couple minutes, really savour the moment.

Neo: What do you say we take this upstairs.

Ruby: my pleasure.

Ruby held onto Neo and used her semblance to quickly go up the stairs and into Neo's room. They jumped onto the bed and kissed once more before really beginning the fun.
