Happy New Year!

Also spoiler warning

"Now that we've all assembled, more or less, it's time to get this meeting underway. I know that most of us are barely resisting the urge to magically annihilate each other, but this is of the utmost importance. From our deep investigations in the strange occurrences going on in both the magic and mundane worlds all over the globe in the last several weeks, I've more or less ascertained that if we don't do something soon then we're going to have something just as bad as the Starless Night, if not worse."

In a miniature pocket dimension, created through the mixing of modern magic, science, and authorities, those who have managed to surpass the limits of human beings have gathered in an emergency session. They're either there physically, by proxy, or psychic projection. Naturally when people of great power gather, tensions are higher than the core of the planet to the furthest solar system, but it was agreed that for now there'd be a temporary ceasefire of all hostilities until the current situation is resolved.

"As much as I hate agreeing with the child king, there is a point." The oldest of the current generation of Campione, Sasha Dejanstahl Voban says. His presence at first was unnerving, due to being one of the more ruthless kings, but it was begrudgingly decided to let things lie.

"Pleasant as always." The American hero, John Pluto Smith, bluntly spits out before going silent.

"Let's please keep on track. The reason I asked the Black Prince to summon you all is due to some distressing info obtained from a still yet to be identified incarnation. It informed me of what it is that is threatening the already unstable balance of the worlds." Hadrian pauses to let the initial stir of the revelation that he was trusting such an unreliable source be so trustworthy die down before continuing.

"Look I know you all have your complaints, which I'm not even going to bother pretending to even try and listen to, so shut up and listen. According to it, what we're facing is an abnormality, even by usual rogue standards. What we're facing is different from usual gods as it's something born out of a desire and not a true mythology. While it's origins are all over the place, what can be accounted for are both the effect and range of its authority. While it's technically classified as a Sun God, its wild and unpredictable nature makes it more of a Steel God. To further prove my point, I'll show you the results of my organization's interrogation of both Albus Dumbledore and the remains of the wraith formerly known as Tom Marvolo Riddle."

As soon as he finished saying that, Hadrian's eyes glow pale gray as he uses one of his authorities gained from defeating the goddess of memory, Mnemosyne. Thick mist visibly filled the room for a brief second before giving way to reveal a large stone courtroom. This authority functions similarly to that of a Pensieve, but on a much larger scale.

"I ask that each of you save any questions or comments until the very end, this takes a lot of concentration to keep things stable. Begin."

"Gathered members of the council, I bring you two criminals who've both committed numerous unforgivable acts in their pursuit of their overinflated hubrises. It was never my intention to get involved so early, but alas there's just no stopping idiots once they've dived deep into their idiocy. If things had continued down the path it was meant to, we'd be having this conversation at a collective funeral service. The two, and I use the term lightly, people before me, have been corrupted by the plague that's been spreading throughout most of the coast of Asia and slowly seeding its way randomly throughout a portion of Europe. To fully investigate both of their magic power have been completely, and permanently pending follow up investigations, and the wraith of the self styled heir of the wizard known as Salazar Slytherin, have been sealed inside of a homunculus created by my aids."

From a large magic circle behind the young Campione, appears the two struggling wizards in questions. They've both been silenced with a seal that'll only allow them to speak when needed, and with the configurations of the room, truthfully. Evidentby the fact that they were seemingly in a shouting contest with both each other and the army of sentries posted around them.

"Let's begin with the dark one. For several years now, it was believed that he was slain that fateful Halloween night, of course as we all know that's far from true. Due to the ego and greed of the current ministry of magic, we were blocked from being able to do anything about his followers, but that's not important right now. My point is that several months ago, this wraith was able to possess the body of then Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Quirinus Quirrel, who body turned to ash after we finished removing the parasite. At first glance it might seem that his motivation for biding his time in Hogwarts was to simply finish the job he attempted to a decade ago and finish the child of prophecy, but that's not the case."

The circle glowed again and the homunculus' body moved from next to the still protesting Merlin imitator to in front of Hadrian. He put his hand on his hand, which seems to sink right into its skull and a large entity manifested above the crowd of gathered mages and knights.

Although silhouetted what appears is a large lanky warrior like figure with noodly limbs and flame shaped hair. He was also carrying a sword and spear.

A few seconds later it changes to a white cardigan and short pants. His hair was also white and flame like and his eyes glow with red ring like pupils and white clouds float around his neck. His face has a grin seemingly etched right into it and a line like scar under his eye. On his head, and the only non white thing about him is a straw hat.

"This is the face of our enemy. Now watch and see just why we have to worry about his meddlesome ability."

"How cool! What are you, some form of mystery cloud?" The strange figure asks as he comically nearly teleports from place to place and began prodding the nearly prone body of Quirrelmort.

"How dare you approach me. Do you have any idea just who I am?" The figure wheezes out, despite the fact that it can't even stand at this point.

"Don't care. Let's have fun. No one deserves to be tense. Life is all about freedom don't you hear it?"

"Just what are you" Its voice falters out as loud drums begin beating to the tune of the strange figure's heartbeat. Its face slowly morphs into a smile.

"Nice now you're my new friend. Hey did you know there's a strong man in a castle. Go and make him my friend along with some others." Behind him are several XXXXX class monsters.

"Let's have fun. Time to tear down the barriers and introduce a new age of Liberation." His body begins to expand and eclipse the sky as he just floats there laughing madder than a loon.

"I'm the man who'll be King of the Freest World." He finishes his mini speech off by taking a bite out of the moon before everything fades to black and then the scene shifts back to normal.

"Now then Riddle, answer me this. What were you planning to do before we apprehended you?"

Without any hesitation and with an uncanny smile on its fake face it cheerily, creepily to anyone watching, replies. "It was the drums. They taught me to see the light. All I was doing is spreading the breath of liberty as given to me by a true pinnacle of divinity. No more false gods and leaders of the-" his voice was cut off as the runes activated.

"There you have it. Our threat's authority is complete takeover of will. I'm sure none of you need a dossier to know the personality of our little friend here. Completely focused on himself and all who don't submit are eliminated, along with anyone who so much as know their name. While for the most part its personality is seemingly intact, it shows total devotion to what we just witnessed. But that's not the worse part. This admission is tame compared to what I've yet to reveal. We'll continue with this trial, but first I believe there's someone who needs a hello."

For several moments there was absolutely nothing happening.

"Enough brat. Just because you're our leader doesn't mean you can just play your games." One of the elders, who've never truly approved of handing control of their operations over to a bunch of lucky children, spoke out before he grew a tail, elongated teeth, and a decrease in height to about 4 inches.

"Oh poo you're no fun. How'd you know I was here? Here I thought my ninja skills were perfect." The image, still looming in the ceiling suddenly boomed to life, startling everyone into defensive positions with weapons and spell circles, only for them to turn into confetti and children's toys.

"Stand down everyone! We still have no idea what it is we're facing." Hadrian says before preparing to switch from mediator mode into combat mode at first sign of trouble. Whatever this thing is, it just invaded their headquarters which no one has done since the black plague was still a thing. No rogue god, no matter how distracted they were, should've gotten this deep.

"Boss get down!" Hermione screams out, her ability letting her see slightly in the future, not that she can control it, its useful but inherently unreliable.

"Dawn Rocket!" In the second he hadn't been paying attention the rogue had gone from a mere shadow in the walls to the rafters. To the shock of everyone watching, the orichalcum material stretched as if made of rubber and he uses it as a slingshot and before Hadrian can dodge it made full contact with his body.

To the astonishment and horror of the person himself and those watching, his body stretched as well before he was sent flying.

"Shishishi, you're quite fun mini mystery slayer. Let's play again. If you make it fun enough I may just let you join my crew. You can be my musician or chef, I need meat!" It kept laughing at them, not in a mocking way, but like this whole experience is nothing more than a game, before disappearing as quickly and mysteriously as he appeared."

"What"

"Was"

"That?"

"Hold it, hold it, hold it. I know that I'm still just a rookie here, but can someone catch me up to speed here? I thought we were supposed to talk about protecting our homelands by learning about our enemy? This just seems like some kind of joke. Do you really expect us to believe that just happened and wasn't some fabrication to get us to trust you?" Godou Kusanagi, the latest Godslayer says rudely. He had been somewhere he had no idea of the location, or totally understand, by his aid and self proclaimed lover Erika and while at first he was contempt to wait to see things play out, this was just too much.

"Don't be rude." The chinese king Luo Hao, says as she punches him in the back of his head. "As weird as it seems, the memory mist doesn't lie. We all heard the rumors about what happened during the trial, but I think I speak for all of us in saying that none of us were expecting something quite this, what's the right word?"

"Ridiculous." Voban bluntly chimes in.

"I can't agree more." Hadrian says to break up the incoming interruptions. "I can't completely describe the sensation of having my body being malleated in such a way, but aside from the shock of the impact my body and internal organs were fine. Thanks to the timely warning of my aid I was able to activate my defenses in time, barely. Before we continue with the viewing I'll read a passage from some texts we were able to dig up from the archive after burying most of my headquarters for over a week."

'Slumbering for ages and awakened in a time of closure. It chooses one human and grants the power of malleability. Limited only by imagination, putting smiles on faces... far and wide they're the embodiment of 'The Warrior of Liberation. Granting exponential strength, the possessed is granted more freedom than any under the sun and moon, with the most absurdly ridiculous power; Sun God Nika.'

Here's a new chapter to welcome in the new year. Here's a heads up, the next thing I upload will be a new story in a different fandom which I won't say because it's boring to do that.

Next chapter will be Dumbledore's trial and something a little left field.
