Okay. So I've made a connection. When thinking about The Owl House and Amphibia parallels, people often state that Luz is the parallel of Anne, Amity is the parallel of Marcy, and Hunter is the parallel of Sasha. That may not be the case though. There's one thing that people haven't gotten right. Parallels may not only be associated with looks and roles, but also by personality. Though Sasha and Hunter's parallel fits still, Anne and Luz and Marcy and Amity's don't. Amity and Anne both share specific qualities that made me realize this, as well as Luz and Marcy (for obvious reasons). Anne is a complicated teenager who tries her hardest to appease those who hold mental power over her, Sasha. Anne undergoes character development by standing up to those mentioned people. Actually it's only Sasha. But my point still stands. Amity is the same way, though she had some obvious differences. Rather than being rebellious like Anne, she was held under Odalia's power for much longer than Anne was under Sasha's. They both try their best to help their friends, they both want only the best for anyone, and they are really strong and protect those they care about. Luz is a nerdy teenage girl who ran away from her problems by staying in The Boiling Isles instead of going back to her own world and going to camp. She ends up falling in love with the people in this strange world and is willing to risk her life for them. Marcy is the same way, but she has no immediate way home. She helped the people of Newtopia in many ways, as Luz did with literally everyone she met in the demon realm. In conclusions, Luz isn't Anne, Amity isn't Marcy, it's the other way around.
