Pokémon Ash's and May's Hoenn Journey Chapter 8 Team Magma
A/N I'm adding in this chapter in, as I forgot about this episode. I might be adding more chapters in, and I might revise some older chapters too.
Later that night at the Pokémon Center, Ash and May were in the middle of eating, when they were approached by Professor Alden, who saw they saw earlier and pointed in the direction of the Pokémon Center. "I'm glad you two found the Pokémon Center," Professor Alden told the pair.
"Yeah, thanks for helping out, professor," Ash said, thanking the Professor.
Professor Alden then sat down and joined them for dinner. After they were done eating, Professor Alden took them to his research office that was inside the Pokémon Center. "The Oldale ruins contain a secret chamber, that bridges between the modern era and ancient Pokémon," He told them.
"Wow, that sounds so cool; is it a fossil Pokémon?" Ash asked curiously.
"No, it's not a fossil Pokémon, but they've lived for millennia and hasn't changed at all," The professor replied.
Professor Alden then brought out an ancient tablet and told both Ash and May on how to enter the ruins, but he required 4 keys that he doesn't have. Outside of the Pokemon Center, a Team Magma grunt watched on with heat-sensing goggles. "I see Professor Alden," The magma grunt told the magma admin.
"Good," He said as the other Magma grunts moved in position.
Back inside the Pokémon center, the electricity all of the sudden went out, causing May to hug Ash in comfort, making both of them blush. The door then burst open with Magma grunts with Houndoom, surrdoing the Professor with Ash and May. Nurse Joy then walked in but was caught by one of the Magma grunts: "We need access to those ruins." One of the Magma grunts said.
One of the Magma grunts then picked up May from the ground and put his hand around her neck, as May screamed and struggled, trying to break free from his grasp. "If you don't come with us, we'll have to hurt her." The magma grunt said.
At first, the professor didn't reply, but then one of Houdoom bit her on her wrist, causing her to scream out in pain. "Okay, I'll go, just leave them alone," Professor Alden said.
"Good," The grunt said smirking evilly, as he threw May back on the ground.
The grunts then threw May, Ash, and Nurse Joy into a storage room locking them in the room. May held her wrist in pain, with tears cascading from her eyes out in pain "Here May, let take a look at it" Ash said, concern in his voice.
Ash then examined her wrist, a bite mark had been made and it was bleeding some, but nothing major. Ash cleaned May's bite mark, making her flinch a little, as it stung all little and then wrapped her bite mark up with bandages. "There you go," He said.
May was still crying with mostly fear. "Thanks, Ash" She said.
Ash then wiped the tears away, making her blush. "Don't worry, I'll protect you," He said.
May gave him a smile. "Sorry to interrupt this moment, but we have to find a way out of here soon; the Pokémon are in danger." Nurse Joy told them
"You're right, Nurse Joy, but I don't know how?" Ash questioned.
"Pika (Ash over here's a vent)," Pikachu told his trainer.
"Good job, Pikachu." Ash thanked his partner Pokémon.
"May you stay here, I'll find a way out," Ash told her.
Ash then got into a vent and began trying to find a way to get the master key and generator, but he was surprised when he saw May crawling towards him. "May, I told you to stay back," Ash said to her.
"I know, but I want to help," May said with determination in her voice.
Ash gave her a nod. "Alright, but I'll protect you," He said.
May smiled and blushed at how caring and sweet Ash was, Pikachu used his ears to find the way out and lead them to the exit grate, and Ash broke through the grate with his shoulder and ran towards the counter of the Pokémon center. Ash retrieved the master key, and May switched on the power to the Pokémon center. The pair then freed Nurse Joy from the storage room, and now Ash and May turn their attention to helping and saving Professor Alden.
Meanwhile, the Magma Grunts have escorted Professor Alden to the Oldale ruins. "Professor Alden, help us enter the ruin chamber." One of the grunts told Alden.
"I don't have the four treasures to enter," Professor Alden said to the grunts.
"You mean this?" One of the grunts asked, presenting the treasures to the professor: a set of four colored orbs.
"I don't know if I want to do this," said the professor.
"So you won't do it, huh? What about that boy and girl at the Pokémon center would get hurt, You wouldn't want that, would you?" One of the grunts asked while evilly chuckling.
"No, I don't," Alden replied.
"Then follow our orders," The Magma said.
The Professor then placed the four orbs in the correct spot. Team Magma rushed in and took photos and recorded the wall glyphs; however, they were all disappointed in their findings. "Another mission failed," The leader of Magma declared.
Ash and May reached the summit just as Team Magma left in the helicopter. Ash and May found the professor and asked, "Professor, are you okay?" Both Ash and May asked in concern.
"Yes, I'm fine. Are you okay, May?" The professor asked back to May, concerned about the Houdoom bite from earlier.
May looked down at her wrist, which was covered in a bandage now. "Yeah, I'm okay, Professor," May replied.
Professor Alden let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad you're okay," he told her.
While they were distracted, they didn't notice Team Rocket taking the four orbs, but unfortunately for them, Wobbfuet came out of its Pokeball and loudly yelled its name, alerting the Professor along with Ash and May to their presence. Jesse quickly calls out Arbok but Ash's Pikachu intercepts and uses a quick attack on Arbok which goes into Jessie and James, causing them to drop the orbs. Pikachu then sends Team Rocket blasting off with Thunderbolt.
Professor Alden then recovers the orbs, and the trio heads inside the chamber, The sun suddenly rose, shedding sunlight into the chamber. Alden then placed the orbs back into the door, causing it to glow. The giant block moves, revealing a hidden staircase. The trio then went down the stairs and came across an underground lake. Soon, an ancient Pokemon called Relicanth jumped out of the water along with several others, as May and Ash stared on in awe. "Thank you so much for everything." The professor thanked the two trainers.
May and Ash then went back to the Pokémon Center and asked, "Nurse Joy, who were they?" Ash asked Nurse Joy.
"I don't know but Officer Jenny is currently investigating them" Nurse Joy replied.
Ash and May then made their way towards Peatalburg city
