A/N Hey guys, I'm back. Did you miss me? Sorry for the long time away, but I kind of got out of writing fanction, but now I'm back into it, and I'll try to update more often. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter.
"Welcome to another edition of May's expeditions with her cute boyfriend Ash Ketchum," May said while making her fingers into the shape of a camera and pointing at her boyfriend Ash.
Ash sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. While he thought that other people would think this was lame, Ash, on the other hand, found it to be really cute; it was just one of May's quirks the raven-haired trainer began to love. Ash, though, deiced to join in on the fun. "Welcome to Ash's expeditions staring my lovely girlfriend" Ash said, this time he turned his hands into a camera and showed his girlfriend.
May blushed and giggled. "You also forgot a massive dork," Max joked with his sister.
May's eyebrows furrowed in rage and she gave her brother a hard smack on his forehead. "Hey, you two knock it off," Brock chimed in.
"Sorry." They both apologized.
They all turned around and saw a waterfall. "Wow, it's so beautiful," May said in amazement at the beauty of the waterfall.
Yeah, it's beautiful, but not as beautiful as you are." Ash flirted with his girlfriend.
May blushed a shade of pink and gave Ash a loving peck on the cheek. "Aww...Ash your sweet," May said.
Max was faking throwing up while Brock was huddled in the corner. "Am I ever going to find love?" Brock asked out loud.
May and Ash watched the scene unfold with both of them chuckling/giggling, Brock then called out his Lotad, got a rope, threw it up against the cliff, tied it around himself, and began climbing up the cliff, while May used her newly evolved Slicon's string shot to help her get there faster, with the rest of the gang falling behind, with May helping them reach the top with her Slicoon. "May how do you beat us up here?" Ash asked his girlfriend curiously.
She lightly giggled. "I used Slicoon," She replied.
"If you're were a real reporter, you wouldn't give away your secret," Max remarked.
"No one asked you, Max," May said.
The gang examined and explored the wilderness, until they came across a lake, that was full of baby Mudkips, and Ash scanned the Mudkips with his pokedex.
Mudkip, the Mud Fish Pokémon. Mudkip uses the sensitive radar receptors on its headfin to determine what's going on around it. In a pinch, it can brandish enough power to crush rocks.
"Awww...look how cute they are!" May gushed at the cuteness of the baby Mudkips.
"I'm going to catch one," May said.
May ran up to one of the baby Mudkips, but a bigger Mudkip emerged from a nerby bush and used water gun to keep her away. "I have the worst luck with water Pokémon," She said.
Just then, a baby Mudkip fell into the river and was soon swept away by the current. Brock quickly called out of Lotad to retrieve the baby Mudkip from the current. Lotad jumped into the lake and soon reached the baby Mudkip, but the current was too strong for Lotad and is pulled into the current with the baby Mudkip. Brock tried to help the two Pokémon, but the larger Mudkip pulled out both the baby Mudkip along with Brock's Lotad. Brock tried to thank the Mudkip but it pulled away angrily. Mudkip, I was trying to help, and May didn't know these were your babies, and she's sorry," Brock told the Mudkip.
The others tried to approach the Mudkip but it quickly fled into the forest. Suddenly, a peculiar man with a Mudkip-like hairstyle, pops out of a nerby bush and says, "You shouldn't and try and steal these Mudkips" The man scolded the gang.
"Wait, sir, we didn't try and steal them; Brock actually saved one of the baby Mudkips" Max explained to the man.
The man looked at the baby Mudkips for reassurance and said, "Kip (yes, they did save us)." The Mudkips replied.
The gang then go back to the man's house, where they learn his name is Old Man Swamp, or "Swampy" for short, for some tea. "Umm...this tea tastes delicious," May commented while drinking the cup of tea.
Brock then spots eggs in the glass case. "What kind of eggs are those?" Brock asked Swampy.
"They are Mudkip eggs, I raise them here and sent them off to Professor Birch from new trainers to use as their starter Pokémon," Swampy explained to the gang.
"Wow, so you're a Pokémon Breeder?" Max asked Swampy.
"Not exactly Max; it's a little different," Brock retorts.
"Do you want to see one hatch?" Swampy asked the gang.
"Yeah!" They all replied in excitement.
They all watched on as baby Mudkip emerged from the egg. May hid her face from the Mudkip, expecting to get hit with a water gun in the face, but to her surprise, the Mudkip didn't use a water gun but it nuzzled against her leg. May then bent down to the level of the baby Mudkip. "Hey there, little guy, you're such a cutie," May said to the baby Mudkip.
"Kip (Thanks, I know I am)," The Mudkip replied.
May then petted the baby Mudkip, hearing a coo from the Pokemon, She then picked it up in her arms, and the baby Mudkip nuzzled against her chest. "Well, it seems like that Mudkip has taken a liking to you," Swampy commented.
"Yeah, I'm shocked; I haven't had the best luck when it comes to Mudkips" May said, with the baby Mudkip cuddling up to her.
Ash watched on with a smile on his face, as he watched the very cute scene that was taking place, showing how sweet and caring May was, and how she would make a great mother some day. Ash blushed at that thought.
"Swampy, do you know a larger Mudkip saved the baby Mudkip?" Brock asked him.
"Yeah, it's actually a wild Pokémon, and it's too boisterous for a new trainer, so it was left alone," Swampy replied to Brock.
Meanwhile, with Team Rocket
Jesse, James, and Mewoth had come across Swampy's property fence. "What's this fence doing out in the middle of nowhere?" Jesse asked out loud.
"I don't know Jesse, but there's bound to be something valuable over the fence," James suggested.
With the thought of treasure, Jesse and James called out Serviper and Cancea to attack the fence, Serviper tried to use Poison Tail on it, but the fence didn't budge, but Cancea used Neddle Arm on James and threw him into the fence, unintentionally breaking down the fence. Wobbuffet emerged from his Pokeball, trigging one of Swampy's wires in the process. The rattling of the cans alerted Swampy and the gang, and Swampy quickly rushed to confort the trespassers, with the gang quickly following behind.
But before they could reach Swampy, The same Mudkip from before appeared in front of them, and Brock offered it some Poke Food, but usurpingly the Mudkip was hesitant. Meanwhile, with Swampy and the gang had just reached the boundary fence to inspect the extensive damage. Cackling laughter attracts everyone's attention to the culprits, which was usurpingly, Team Rocket, who stated the motto.
"I know you're trying to steal my Mudkip" Swampy told Team Rocket angrily.
"Mudkip?" Jesse asked.
"Those are really rare," James said.
"Yeah, we need to steal them," Mewoth added.
"Swampy, you shouldn't have said that," May scolded the man.
"Well, I have been known to not keep secrets," Swampy replied.
"If you break the dam, you would wash away of all the baby Mudkips" Swampy said, revealing another secret.
"Come on out, Cancea, and use needle arm," James called out his Pokemon.
Cancea, instead though, lashes out at James with an attack instead, sending him through the dam wall. The escaping water catches Brock's attention, and as the larger wave was heading towards the direction of Mudkip, Brock sends out his Fortress to help keep the water away with Rapid Spin, while he and Lotad take the Mudkip to higher and safer ground. But Brock saw a baby Mudkip trapped in the raging current; though the larger Mudkip dives into recuse it, Mukip reaches it and tries to swim to the shore, and the pair is sent over the waterfall.
Mudkip manages to cling onto a rock, with the baby in its mouth, as the water beats down on it. Brock quickly finds the rope from earlier, still tied to the tree, and promptly leaps into the water. He urges the Mudkip to grab his hand, and after some desperate pleas, it outstretches itself, and Brock manages to throw the Mudkips to safety.
"Thank you, Brock, again for another save," Swampy thanked the breeder.
"Don't thank me; thank that Mudkip," Brock said, not taking all the credit.
The crashing of trees brings everyone back to Team Rocket, who are operating a Mudkip-theme device, scooping up the baby Mudkips with their mecha's shovel hands. "Lotad and Mudkip use water gun on the ground," Brock commanded his Pokemon.
Team Rocket is confused by this tactic, but they quickly realize that their mecha is sinking into the ground, Mudkip then tackles the mecha's loot bag, freeing all the Mudkip, Finally, Ash sends Team Rocket blasting off with his Thunderbolt. "Thank you for saving all my Mudkip," He thanked the group.
"Brock would like to take Mudkip on your journey?" Swampy asked him.
"I would love too," Brock replied.
The Mudkip also agreed and jumped into Brock's arms. "Don't worry, Mudkip, we'll make a great team," Brock told the Mudkip.
Just as they were about to leave, The same baby Mudkip from earlier, that bonded with May ran up to her and said, "Kip (Wait don't leave, I want to join your team)." The baby Mudkip told her.
"You want to join my team?" May asked the Mudkip.
It nodded its head yes, and May looked at Swampy. "Go ahead, you're a great person, and Mudkips bonded with you anyway," Swampy said.
May threw her Pokeball at Mudkip and caught it immediately.
