A day had passed since the Sableye incident, and they all moved past it, with May forgiving her boyfriend. They all met a girl named Shauna yesterday who had a Meditite and claimed she trains with Brawly, which later turned out not to be true. Ash and Shauna were about to battle when Brawly interrupted their battle and told them there was a storm coming, and they spent the rest of the night in a cave along with Team Rocket. They spent the rest of the night getting to know each other better, and it turned out that Shauna wasn't really training with Brawly.
During their stay in the cave, May constantly cuddled and huddled up next to Ash, May had a fear of storms, and she felt safe and protected in her lover's arm and he comforted her with his presence, She could also feel Brawly's eyes on her, which made her uncomfortable. In fact, May, still feeling frightened, and Ash slept together in their sleeping bag, with May nestled into Ash's chest, seeking solace in his warmth and she cuddling against him, as Ash lovingly held into her into his arms, shielding and comforting her from the raging storm outside and with every rumble of thunder, Ash whispered soothing words to May, assuring they were safe.
Ash would gently stroke May's hair, offering her a sense of security amidst the raging storm. Their bodies intertwined, they found comfort in each other's embrace, As the night wore on, May's fear begin to slowly dissipate, but not all the way, as she knew Ash would always be there to protect her. May finally drifted off to sleep, her worries eased by Ash's unwavering support
Ash was the first awake the next morning, and he looked down and saw May against and he smiled and watched her sleep, as she looked so cute and peaceful in her sleep. He could hear her softly snoring and could hear her gentle breathing, and the sun cast a warm glow on her peaceful face, and all Ash could focus on now was the beauty of his girlfriend sleeping right next to him.
As Ash watched her sleep, he couldn't help but notice how peaceful she looked. Her long chestnut hair cascaded over him, framing her delicate face. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips. The sunlight danced across May's face, accentuating her features. Ash's heart swelled with love as he traced a finger gently along her cheekbone, marveling at the softness of her skin. There was something vulnerable about her when she slept—an innocence that Ash cherished.
Ash then carefully reached out and brushed a stray lock of hair away from May's face. She stirred slightly, her eyelids fluttering open to reveal her shining sapphire eyes. A small yawn escaped her lips as she stretched, her gaze finally focusing on Ash. A radiant smile spread across her face, illumining the room. "Morning Ashy," She said groggily, her voice filled with warmth.
"Moring" He replied, giving her a loving peck on the forehead.
May looked up at her boyfriend and said, "Thanks, for helping me last night. I know it's pretty stupid to be afraid of storms." She thanked him.
Ash put a finger on her chin and lifted her head up to meet him, her sapphire eyes shining. "May, it's not stupid; everyone's afraid of something." Ash comforted her, giving her a peck on the lips.
May gave a smile and returned her own with a peck on Ash's lips. Soon everyone was awake and fully dressed, and they had just eaten breakfast and were making their way over to Brawly's gym. May's hand was in Ash's, and she was gripping his hand tightly, as she could still feel Brawly's eyes on her, his eyes fixated on her, checking her out shamelessly, her discomfort grew with every passing glance..
Feeling uneasy, May clung to Ash's arm, her grip on his arm tightening. Ash, always attuned to May's emotion, immediately noticed the change in her demeanor. He glanced down at her, concern etched in his voice "May, is everything alright?" Ash asked her, his voice filled with genuine worry.
"Brawly's checking me out and it's really making me uncomfortable" She told him.
Ash's protective instincts kicked in, and he tightened his grip around May's hand, offering her reassurance and Hearing that made Ash angry. "Don't worry, May; I'll take care of him," Ash whispered to her.
May had a smile plastered on her face, thankful for her boyfriend that will protect her. They arrived at the gym, and before they entered, May and Ash stopped for a second, and May gave him a peck on the cheek. "Good luck, Ashy. If you win, I'll give you a reward." She whispered to him, purring the last sentence of seduction.
Ash shivered and was now determined to win his next badge and soon begin their battle. Ash calls out Treecko first, and Brawly sends out Machop.
"Machop start off by using Karate Chop," Brawly called out to his Pokémon.
"Doge all of then," Ash called out.
Macho then started using Karate Chops, dodging all of them, and sending Machop back with a Pound attack, but Macho quickly got back up. "Machop, use Low King," Brawly called out.
Machop went low with Low Kick but Treecko dodged again, but this time Treecko was hit with a karate chop and was sent back, but landed on its feet. Ash then recalled Treecko and called out Corpish, and Ash told him to use to Bubblebeam, but Machop dodged the attack and hit Coprish with a Brick Break, but Corpish shook the attack off and hit Machop with Crabhammer and sending Machop flying in the air. He hit it with a combination of Bubblebeam and sent Machop to the ground with major damge, but Machop got back up.
"Machop use Seismic toss," Brawly called out.
Macho grabbed Corpish and began going up in the air, gearing up for the Semismic Toss. "Before he throws you, use Bubbleam on the ground and follow it up with a strong Crabhammer" Ash called.
Just as Machop was about to throw Corpish into the ground, Corpish used Bubbleam on the ground, to stop the momentum and the followed it up by hitting Machop into the ground, knocking Macho out. "Machop is unable to battle, Ash and Corpish win the first battle," The judge announced.
"Yeah, way to go, Corpish," Ash told him happily.
"That's my Ashy!" May exclaimed in happiness.
Brawly called out Hairyama next. "Start off by using Arm Thrusts," Brawly called out.
Hariyama started off by using consecutive Arm Thursts to Corpish and then threw Corpish into the ground, dealing some massive damage, but Corpish got back up and Ash told it to use Bubblebeam, but Hariyama dodged. But while that was happening, and Hariyama was distracted and busy, Corpish dug underneath the ground and came back up and tried to attack, but Hariyama caught it and used Reversal and threw Corpish into the ground, knocking Corpish out. "You did a good job Coprish return" Ash praised his Pokémon and returned.
Ash was beginning to doubt himself. As his heart pounded with both excitement and anxiety, Doubt began to creep into his mind, whispering that he might not be able to defeat Brawly, and that he might fail again. Just as he was about to succumb to the doubts, May noticed Ash's doubt. "Ash, I know you got this, don't let doubt cloud your mind; believe in yourself!" May shouted words of encouragement.
Ash turned his head and saw May on the sidelines, Pikachu sitting comfortably in her lap, as the two had grown close, with a determined look on his face and her unwavering faith in him shining through. Her words struck a chord in his heart. "You're right, May," Ash said, his voice filled with newfound determination.
But if he wasn't determined enough, the next words that came out of Brawly's mouth certainly were, as a small smirk formed on his lips: "Hey Ash, If you lose this time, how about I get to take your girlfriend on a date?" He asked him.
May's heart sank, and her discomfort was palpable, as this proposition made her feel objectified and insignificant. She glanced at Ash, hoping to see a flicker of anger and disappointment in his eyes, but instead, she found a blazing fire of determination. Ash, his face reddening with anger, his voice trembling with a mix of frustration and determination "Not going to happen, Brawly," He growled in anger.
Ash then sent out Treecko again, and May's words of encouragement echoed throughout his mind. He began the battle with a Pound attack, as Treecko's tail slammed into Hariyama, but it little to no damage at all, and Hariyma used Arm Thrusts, but Treecko dodged every single one and used Slam attack this time, sending Hariyama into the ground, and he got back up and used Earthquake followed by a Cross Crop, dealing some massive damage, but Treecko got back up, heavily damaged though.
Treecko then used Bullet Seed against Hariyama, hitting it with multiple seeds, sending Haryiama backwards. Treecko then dug underground and came back up, this time Haryiama didn't catch it, as Treecko sent it flying into the air. While Haryiama was in the air, Treecko then used Iron Tail, sending Haryiama into the ground.
Haryiama tried to get up but couldn't, and fainted, giving Ash the win. In his second gym battle, May, unable to restrain herself any longer, bounded onto the battlefield. With an exuberant smile beaming across her face, she tackled her boyfriend Ash to the ground, enveloping him in a tight embrace. "Ash, you did it! I knew you could," May exclaimed joyously, pride and happiness in her eyes.
Ash laughed, his heart bursting with joy at May's exuberant display of affection. "Thanks, May! I couldn't have done it without the support of the best cheerleader," He told her.
May planted a soft kiss on Ash's cheek, congratulating him, causing his face to flush a deep shade of crimson. The couple remained on the ground for a few seconds, laughing and basking in the euphoria of the moment. After a few more seconds, the couple slowly rose to their feet. Their hands intertwined. May took a moment to compose herself.
Brawly realized the errors of his ways: "You taught me a valuable lesson today, Ash, I'm really sorry I have acted." Brawly apologized to him.
Ash nodded in acceptance "I forgive you, Brawly," Ash replied.
Brawly then glanced at May, his eyes full of remorse. "I'm sorry too, May. You're not an object, and I'm so sorry If I made you uncomfortable." Brawly now apologized to May.
May smiled and said, "Thank you for apologizing, and I forgive you." May forgave him.
Brawly then gave Ash his badge and they gang was leaving, but they were stopped, when they heard a familiar voice call out and they all turned around and saw.
