(A/N) Both Ragna and Jin are on Salem's radar because of their capabilities. Without spoiling anything, I can say that it is not a good thing for the brothers.
Also, Nu's backstory will be further explored in this volume but at a much later chapter in volume 3. The best description I can give without spoiling anything is that Nu's past is pretty messed up, tragic, and it might make you feel sorry for her.
As for the Murakumo labs, I won't get into too much detail about them this soon. But they will be briefly touched on in the Volume 3 portion of the story. The full details will be revealed though and it will touch upon the darker aspects of Remnant.
Chapter 40 A time to relax
(Atlus Airship)
When the Breach of the Grimm happened, Roman made sure to get to a safe location so that he wouldn't get killed. Either by the Grimm, a civilian with a grudge, or a Huntsman or Huntress with a killing instinct. Fortunately, Roman was able to survive the breach and didn't get killed. Unfortunately, Roman was unable to get away and was captured by the students which damaged his pride as a professional criminal. To add insult to injury, the students that was able to capture him was Emerald and Mercury. Two individuals he doesn't like, though the capture was necessary to maintain cover. He would have preferred it if it was either Little Red, Big Red, or that loud muscular student. After he was brought aboard, Roman knew that the General would come to interrogate him again after being unsatisfied from the first attempt. Roman was prepared for it, but what he wasn't prepared for, was the long hours of waiting that were more boring than he anticipated. At least in a prison compound, Roman could at least pass the time by stirring up trouble and slowly take control.
"847 bottles of dust on the wall, 847 bottles of dust on the wall, you take one down and make a bomb. Then there's 846 bottles of dust on the wall." Roman sang trying to pass the time
"Dang it, this is the third time I'm singing that song. I wish I had an audience to hear my lovely singing voice. Because the bucket of bolts that's outside doing guard duty do not make for a lively audience." Roman said to himself before he got back to singing. After a few more minutes, Roman's cell door opened up and it was a guard who greeted him
"Get up Torchwick." The guard said as he was pointing his gun at him
"Am I being moved to a new cell? Why that's awfully nice of you guys after all that happened. But I've grown accustomed to that humble cell. Despite it being cramped and small, it has a real homey vibe to it." Roman said in a mocking tone to the guard. Despite being ignored by the guard. After a few minutes of walking through the ship, Roman and the guard entered a large room. Inside the large room are a table and two chairs with one of them occupied by General Ironwood. Keeping the General company are a neat row of soldiers who are pointing their rifles at Roman.
"Wow, such a welcome for an esteemed Crime Boss like myself. I feel so honored General Ironwood, I should thank you for this." Roman said as he was sitting himself down while the rifles were pointing at him
"I told you that we'll have another chance to talk and this is that chance. Now I would very much appreciate it if you could answer my questions. Because I am not in the mood for any more of your nonsense Roman." General Ironwood said in a tone that is mixed with serious and angry
"Ooh, I guess your going to play the role of bad cop with bits of nice cop huh General? Well, seeing as though I've got nothing better to do, I suppose can humor you." Roman said in a confident tone
"Last time we talked, you said that you were the one who's behind all of this. So why is it that I find that very hard to believe?" General Ironwwod asked Roman
"Because you like to underestimate me very poorly General." Roman responded with a good deal of sarcasm
"Then how was it you were able to find that powerful snake Grimm and lure it here? I find it hard to believe that you would just stumble onto something like that." General Ironwood said in a demanding tone
"Come on General, its not my fault that I had an amazing stroke of luck. I mean come on, when you look at me you can tell I have the whole package. Great looks, amazingly skilled, criminally handsome, and incredible dresser too. But I also have a brain, and I can't be the incredible Crime Boss that I am without using my brain. I had an amazing stroke of luck and I used my brain and new friends with the White Fang to cause the Breach. You saw how close I was to succeeding, if it wasn't for that bright light and deadly chill that froze all the Grimm. I would have gotten away with it and controlled Vale." Roman told the General in a tone that is filled with confidence
"This isn't getting anywhere." General Ironwood said before he sighed in frustration. After doing so, he stood up and made his way to the exit. Before he left the interrogation room, Roman started to speak further
"What's wrong General? You don't like what I'm telling you, it's not my fault you can't handle the truth." Roman told the General in a mocking tone, causing General Ironwood to turn his head to look at Roman
"Don't forget what I told you last time, the council will let me keep you in my custody for as long as I see fit. You'll do well to remember that Roman. We'll have another chance to talk soon, so I hope you can give me a better answer when we do. Take him back to his cell." General Ironwood said before he left the room
"Hehehehe, wonderful." Roman muttered in a low and sinister tone before he was escorted back to his cell.
(The Streets of Vale)
After everything regarding the breach was settled, school life went back to normal for Ragna. Fortunately, because the Vytal festival and by extension the tournament is a couple of weeks away. A lot of classes had shortened time, though to compensate the homework load greatly increased as well. This works out for Ragna, because he can focus on training and getting stronger. Both for the sake of the tournament and for his own sake. Ragna knows that Cinder is still around and he hasn't gotten any closer to stopping her. To make matters worse, he still needs to find a way to deal with Nu. The only one that knows to be cautious of Cinder is Jin. Though as for the situation regarding Nu, Ragna is keeping it to himself. To get his mind off of a few things, Ragna decided to visit Sister Celica and Saya. Though Ragna couldn't explain it, he found himself doing some shopping for Sister Celica. Seeing as the list is long, Ragna decided to enlist Yang for some help.
"Thanks again for the help with the bags Yang. I didn't want to do this any longer than I needed to." Ragna told Yang
"What are friends for Ragna, besides I could use a break from all the training I did with my team. Ruby's hogging the T.V. so I can't play my video games. Blake and Weiss just wants to study so I have nothing to do. We've been training for a few days after the breach. So this breather is a nice change of pace." Yang told Ragna
"I see, that's good to hear." Ragna commented before Yang spoke further
"Besides, I've been meaning to talk to you about something. I heard from Weiss that you visited a certain Hero of Vale. Its nice to see that you're making an attempt to get on better terms with your brother." Yang said in a proud tone
"Yeah well, I supposed that I have you to thank for it." Ragna said which surprised Yang
"Really, well I'm glad." Yang said maintaining her proud tone
"You should be Yang, because when Jin was in the Medical Wing again. Your voice was in my head nagging me to visit him and try to make amends." Ragna commented causing Yang to give him a quick jab in the arm
"Well regardless of the reason, it is nice to see you making an effort to mend things with your brother. By the way, why are we doing grocery shopping for Sister Celica?" Yang asked in a curious tone
"When I went to check on them, Sister Celica wanted to do something nice since its been a few years since we've been together. Though when she said that she was going to go and gather the stuff herself. I decided to do it instead, because Sister Celica has a habit of getting lost very easily." Ragna told Yang causing the brawler to chuckle
"Oh come on Ragna, it can't be that bad." Yang said to Ragna
"Oh really, a few years ago when I was a kid. Sister Celica wanted us to have a picnic, so she decided to lead us to a special spot in the forest that has a nice view of the lake. Unfortunately, we ended up lost for a few hours and we wound up at the border of Vale. The nearby Huntsman was nice enough to escort us back to the church. When we tried again the next day but with me leading the way. It turned out that picnic spot we wanted to go to was only a 10-minute walk." Ragna told Yang causing her to laugh out loud
"Hahahahahaha, I'm sorry Ragna but a situation like that is normally classified as an epic fail." Yang said causing her to laugh further
"Which is why I'm doing this in the first place. If she does it, then she could end up at a White Fang Rally." Ragna said causing Blake to wince at the memory of what happened with Blake and Sun
"By the way, how has you and your team been doing? The media's been all over Jin but there was no mention of you guys." Ragna told Yang causing her to have a brief look of concern
"We're fine, some of us are a little down about not being able to stop Torchwick. But we're trying to learn from the experience. Right now we're just focusing on getting stronger for the tournament. I hope you guys have been training, because Makoto won't tell me anything." Yang told Ragna
"Oh we have something planned, don't worry about that Yang." Ragna said in a confident tone (But mentally kicked himself for not training with his teammates as much as he should have. Something he should have done sooner.)
"In that case I'm looking forward to it." Yang said in a confident tone before the two continued to shop
(Emerald Forest)
After Jin was released from the Medical Wing. He got back to training so he could get ready for the tournament. Jin figured that the best training he could get is from Emerald Forest. Since the location is isolated from a lot of people and he could kill the Grimm without being distracted. Which was a good thing, since Jin has acquired a newfound renown for being known as the Hero of Vale.
Within the forest, Jin has also been trying to reactivate the power he used. But unfortunately for him, he hasn't made any progress. That power and the vision he had when he woke up has plagued Jin's mind. He knows that there is a lot in the world that he doesn't know, and that power he used is one of those things. Jin has made several attempts to re-awaken that power but nothing came from it.
"What was that power I used during the breach? I can't explain it, but it felt very familiar yet incredible. Is it connected to the maidens that Professor Ozpin has hidden within Vale. Or is it connected to something much more significant. Also, who are those people that was in that vision. I can barely remember anything from that vision, yet it feels significant like a warning." Jin said out loud voicing his thoughts
"Looks like the Hero of Vale is confused about a few things huh." A rough and rugged voice said that caught Jin off guard. When he looked around to find the source, Jin saw a short cat figure that was standing a small distance from him. When Jin took a better look, he realized that the figure is Jubei
"Jubei, the Cat Lotus himself." Jin said after seeing Jubei
"Well, its nice to see that you able to be up and about after facing that Mad Dog huh. congratulations on your title as the hero Jin." Jubei said to Jin
"What happened to you after that day? I remember that you were caught in an explosion." Jin asked Jubei
"As I was fighting Azrael, we were caught in another explosion. Once the second explosion dissipated, Azrael was gone and I was alone. So I decided to make my way to Celica and send her to you. Since you were in terrible condition Jin. After that, I decided to rest up and take it easy so I can recover. I hate to admit it, but Azrael is a lot stronger than I originally anticipated and I briefly underestimated him. It won't happen again, but I have to admit that he's pretty strong." Jubei briefly explained to Jin
"Then what are doing here? I know for a fact that Ragna is your student and in case you can't tell I'm not Ragna." Jin told Jubei in a bold tone
"Well is it hard to believe that I came to see you Jin?" Jubei asked Jin catching the blonde by surprise
"Why is it that your here?" Jin asked in a tone that has low patience
"Well its about what you did during the Grimm breach Jin. As I recalled, you were enveloped in a bright light and was able to freeze the Grimm." Jubei told Jin
"Do you know what that power is?" Jin asked in a curious tone
"Let me answer that question with another question. From what you remembered when you used that power. What were you feeling, both emotionally and mentally?" Jubei asked Jin
"From what I remembered, I felt as if I had to protect. But I don't recall anything else. Is there a point to that question?" Jin answered but is slowly losing his patience
"Oh there is a point Jin. For starters you've awakened to something that will help you greatly for the sake of the world. It's a power that prioritizes life and order above all else. The purpose is to both maintain and protect the balance of life and the world. The name of the power is called the Power of Order. It's not evil, but its not good either. The strength of the power is that it counters something that threatens life or order. But something you need to know, that power has the potential to threaten the world itself. Remember this Jin, or else you could destroy yourself as well as the world." Jubei explained to Jin
"Then how can I use that power on command?" Jin asked now slightly curious
"I'm afraid it's not that simple Jin. You can't use that power as if it's a power up that can be used at any time. Certain conditions needs to be met for you to have access to that power. For starters, you have to be fighting against something that threatens both the life of the world and order. Though once its activated, you will get a lot stronger and it will protect you against certain powers. A fair warning though, the Grimm despises that power and once it's used they will feel threatened and make killing you a top priority. One more thing you should know, that power is capable of harming anyone and anything. So the Grimm isn't the only thing that ca be threatened by that power." Jubei explained to Jin
"That still doesn't answer my question on how I can use that power." Jin said slowly losing his patience
"Sorry Jin, I was only supposed to tell you about the power. Teaching you how to use it is something else entirely. There's only one person who can teach you how to properly use that power and control it. You'll know who it is when you see him. fate's kinda funny like that Jin." Jubei told Jin before he disappeared
"What am I supposed to do with that? At least I know the name of that power, so it wasn't a complete waste of time." Jin said before he went back to training
(Vale Shopping District)
"Alright, that should take care of everything from the list. Thanks again for the help Yang." Ragna said after he sat down on a nearby bench to rest
"No problem Ragna, it did take a bit longer than we thought though. What kind of food do you think Sister Celica plans on making?" Yang asked in a curious tone
"It could be anything, I tried to tell her that I can cook so she could relax for a bit. But she insisted on doing it herself. I know better than to argue with her, so I decided to just do what she says and hope for the best. You can come to the dinner if you want. Sister Celica wants to see you all since she considers you and your team to be me and Jin's friends." Ragna told Yang
"Thanks for the invite, do you know who else is invited?" Yang asked Ragna
"Well other than team RWBY, I know that Noel will want to invite team JNPR. Seeing as though she's going out with the leader I'm not surprised. Team BLST is alright so they can also come." Ragna told Yang
"That's a lot of people, won't it be overwhelming?" Yang asked
"I'll be helping out with the cooking so it won't be a problem. Though if it all gets to be a bit too much. We can always ask for help, so there's nothing to worry about." Ragna told Yang before the both of them stood up and kept going.
"Before I forget, where are we going to have this big dinner?" Yang asked in a curious tone
"Since the room that Jin rented for Sister Celica and Saya is pretty big and has its own private kitchen. She figured that it will be a good idea to have the dinner there. The staff forbade students from using the kitchen for personal use. Noel's cooking is the main reason." Ragna told Yang
"Now I know your exaggerating." Yang told Ragna in a confident tone before she continued to talk
"I'm curious about something Ragna. You know how Jin is. So how do you plan to get him to come to this special dinner?" Yang asked in a curious tone
"Sister Celica actually managed to cover that. She pestered Jin for a few hours until he agreed to come. Also to make sure that we don't fight each other, she made a threat against us." Ragna told Yang
"What did she threaten you with?" Yang asked slightly more curious
"She said that if any one of us don't show up or we fight each other. She'll tell everyone we know what we're afraid of. Trust me, that's a threat that neither of us are going to take lightly." Ragna told Yang
"Come on Ragna, what your afraid of can't be that bad." Yang said trying to reassure Ragna
"Ruby knows and it didn't stop her from laughing so much that she passed out." Ragna told Yang causing her to snicker
"Then remind me to ask my little sister what your fear is." Yang said in a teasing tone
"I wouldn't try it Yang. In exchange for keeping her mouth shut, she's allowed to ride Minerva." Ragna told Yang causing her to pout
"YAAAAAAAAHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Ruby yelled with excitement getting Ragna and Yang's attention
"Speaking of your little sister, there she is right now." Ragna said as he was pointing at her flying through the air on Minerva. With a large smile on her face from the excitement
"Looks like little sis is enjoying herself." Yang said after she saw Ruby on Minerva
"Hey Yang, it seems like we got everything. I'm going to go on ahead and bring the stuff to sister Celica and help her cook. I'll text you the address and time. If you want, you can bring the others along since it can save some time." Ragna told Yang
"Alright, I'll see you later then Ragna." Yang said before the both of them parted ways
"Now, I just need to get to the Hotel and I'm all set to help them." Ragna said as he was carrying the bags. Before he went to far, he felt his red coat being tugged on. When Ragna turned around to see who tugged on his coat. He saw a young slim girl with black hair that's wrapped in twin ponytails. Ragna can't explain how or why, but he feels as though that he's seen her before.
"Haven't seen you before, mind telling me why you tugged on my coat?" Ragna asked the girl. After Ragna asked, the black haired girl proceeded to walk around Ragna and started to take a thorough look at Ragna with a curious gaze. Ragna didn't feel threatened, but he mentally put his guard up just in case. Once the girl was done looking at Ragna, she looked at him with a smirk.
"OK, now what do you want? I've had a rough couple of days, so please don't let it be because you want to start trouble." Ragna said ready to grab his sword, only for the girl to bring out her scroll and take a selfie with Ragna in the picture. After taking the picture, the black-haired girl left suddenly leaving Ragna slightly confused. After the girl left Ragna, she looked around to see if there's nobody around. After she did so, she used her abilities to change back into her original appearance which is Neo. After Neo changed back she took a look at the picture she took and smiled at the picture of her and Ragna. Before she went on to her own affairs.
(The Hotel Plaza)
After a few hours have passed, the majority of team RJNN and JNPR made it to the Hotel and are in the lobby. Ragna and Ren went on ahead to help Sister Celica with cooking the food. While Jin was still out training and tending to his own affairs. When everyone looked around the plaza, they were amazed at the size and quality of the place. Noel and Makoto spend most of their time with Tsubaki at school and rarely go to a place of such high class. Team JNPR have never experienced a place like this before and are taking in every moment.
"Wow, you don't see places like this very often. The only other place that you can find high class places like this is Atlus. Even then, we never get the chance to come here." Noel told everyone in an amazed tone
"This place really does look nice, I can't believe that Ren didn't message us to tell us how nice this hotel is." Nora said voicing her thoughts
"I guess that this place is usually for people who are having large gatherings or parties. But I always thought that it would be close to impossible for someone to be able to rent a room here. Or better yet a room would be available for just two people." Pyrrha told everyone
"I guess that since there's not a lot of people that they expected to come here. This Hotel had to do a lot of restructuring to be more appealing to everyone. It's still impressive no matter how you look at it." Makoto said as everyone was waiting, after a few more minutes have passed, team RWBY along with team BLST entered the Hotel Plaza and they were amazed at the sites.
"Wow, Jin rented a hotel room for Sister Celica and Saya at a fancy place like this?" Yang said in an impressed tone. After a few minutes, Ren came from one of the elevators and approached the large group.
"The food is almost ready, but you guys can come on up. I'll lead you guys to the room that we'll be in." Ren said before everyone went into the large elevator
(The Hotel Room)
"Wow, if I didn't know any better, this could pass off as a large apartment." Jaune told everyone
"I'm scared to ask Weiss, but how much would all of this cost?" Ruby asked Weiss in a curious and amazed tone
"Let's just say that the less you know the better. Especially if you consider that Sister Celica and Saya have been here for a few weeks." Weiss responded to Ruby
"Bullet, when you did mercenary work did you ever come across places like this?" Bang asked Bullet
"Nah, most of the high class clients and jobs we get are normally reserved for people with a lot of experience under their belt. Besides, from what I was told, they would prefer to keep mercenaries away from these places. The reason is that they were told that it makes the clients look bad." Bullet told Bang
"Well, this is a pretty nice and spacious place to be at. But I noticed that there are some extra rooms here." Amane said causing everyone to look at each of the roms
"Wow there are extra rooms here. I think this is a good time to have a sleepover. The girls for one room and the boys for the other room." Ruby said with a great deal of enthusiasm
"We're already invited for a dinner Ruby. It would be rude and impolite for us to impose on them further." Weiss told Ruby in a slightly scolding tone
"I doubt it would be a problem Weiss, in fact let's make this into a bet. If I ask and she says yes, I get first pick of the movie and you have to sing along with us." Ruby told Weiss with a great deal of confidence
"Alright, but if I win you have to write a five page paper on why my weapon is better than yours." Weiss said matching Ruby's confidence
"Oh you are on Weiss!" Ruby said ready to face the challenge
"Sorry to rain on your parade Ruby, but what about the guys?" Yang asked in a curious tone
"They can sort it out themselves. Come on girls, it won't be too long until the tournament. So we should relax as much as we can before we get down to some intense training." Ruby told all the girls in a pleading tone
"It would be a nice change of scenery and there is a lot of space." Blake said agreeing with Ruby
"Yeah, and it would be nice to spend the night with other teammates once in a while." Makoto said in an agreeing tone
"Not to mention, we'll be near the guys. So at the very least it won't be boring. In fact, it could be loads of fun." Yang said with a good deal of optimism
"Not to mention, we could be up to all sorts of mischief." Nora said with a devilish grin on her face
"As long as we don't cause trouble for the others. Remember, this is still a hotel and we could get Jin, Sister Celica and Saya in a lot of trouble." Pyrrha told everyone in a cautious tone
"Oh it'll be fine, but remember Sister Celica has to say yes." Ruby told everyone
"You know, that sounds like a good idea. A chance for us guys to just hang out." Jaune said with an optimistic tone
"A chance for us to bond with each other. Sharing our deep sense of brotherhood, I would be honored to be a part of it." Bang said with enthusiasm
"I would like to participate as well, but good luck getting Ragna and Jin to participate." Amane told Jaune
"Me and Jin are buds, I'm sure I can get him to agree to this. . . . . I think." Jaune said with a loss of enthusiasm.
"Well, Ragna will be just as challenging to convince. So any ideas on how to do so?" Bang asked in a curious tone
"Oh leave that to me, I have a good idea on how to convince Ragna to join us." Amane told the guys in a confident tone
"I almost forgot, even if Jin and Ragna joins us, the girls will still outnumber us. Its not a competition or anything. But we can't allow ourselves to be outnumbered." Jaune told the guys
"Let's discuss these details after dinner, it looks like the food is almost ready. Besides, we can't assume that Sister Celica will say yes." Amane told everyone before everyone quickly Ren and Ragna bringing out the food that was made.
As Ren and Ragna were bringing out the food, everyone eyes watered at the quality of the food that was being presented. All of them suspected that Sister Celica was good at cooking. But they didn't expect Ragna or Ren to work well together in the kitchen as well. All of the teams, along with Saya and Celica proceeded to sit down at the table. After a few minutes have passed, all the food was set up at the table and everyone was ready to eat.
"There's plenty of food here, so all of you can help yourselves. Think of it as a way of saying thanks for fighting valiantly during the breach." Sister Celica said before Tao and Nora started to dig in.
"Crap, can't let Tao eat everyone's fill." Bullet said before she started to dig in as well
"I agree, I can't let this be a repeat of what happened when we first met." Bang said before he started to eat as well
"It would be a shame if the tuna went to waste." Blake said before she quickly grabbed the tuna that was near her and mixed it with the food she had.
"Ooh, I can't wait to eat, I'm starving." Ruby said before she proceeded to eat
"Safe to say that everyone likes this food. Well, tome to chow down." Yang said before she started to grab some food as well
"Nora just doesn't know how to hold back huh." Jaune said before he quickly grabbed some food
"Jaune its important for you to pace yourself, but then again we can't miss out." Pyrrha said before she grabbed some food as well
"Wow, they don't hold back on the hunger huh Noellers?" Makoto asked Noel
"Doesn't look like it." Noel answered
"Well should we join in?" Makoto asked with a mischievous grin
"Of course." Noel agreed before they proceeded to eat
"Wow this food is so good," Nora said while she was eating
"Sister Celica should be a top quality chef since she can cook this good." Ruby said as she was eating as well
"Thank you for the praise, but I didn't do it alone. Ren and Ragna helped with the cooking and they were a big help." Celica told them
"Ren I'm not surprised, but Ragna. I guess he's full of so many hidden talents." Jaune said
"My master wanted me to make sure that I learned how to cook when I was out training. I would even help sister Celica out in the kitchen sometimes." Ragna told them while he was eating
"By the way everyone, where is Jin? It doesn't feel right with him not being here." Celica asked in a concerned tone
"He said he had some stuff to take care of. I'm certain that he'll be back soon." Jaune said
"Ooh, while we wait how about you tell us what he was like when he was a kid." Nora suggested to Celica causing almost everyone to nod in agreement
"I don't think that's a good idea. Especially for the person who suggested it." Amane said trying to warn Nora
"Oh it won't be a problem, I bet he's an ol softie with a good sense of humor." Nora said before they all heard someone enter. When they all looked to see who it was, they saw that it was Jin
"I apologize for being late Sister Celica. My affairs and my training took up more time than I anticipated." Jin told Celica before he sat down at one of the chairs and started eating
"You still wanna make that sugg…." Ren said before Nora quickly covered his mouth
"I don't know what your talking about Ren." Nora said not wanting to risk getting on Jin's bad side (knowing what he's capable of)
"Before I forget, Sister Celica can we have a sleepover here in the extra rooms." Ruby asked Celica
"No tact or anything, huh Ruby." Weiss commented
"Sure I don't mind, we have extra rooms and there more spacious than we're used to. So it would be nice if there filled with people so they feel bleak." Celica said to Ruby causing her to cheer for joy
"Yes, now we can have our sleepover." Ruby said with a great deal of excitement
"Um does that go for us guys as well?" Jaune asked in a nervous tone
"Of course, it would be nice for Ragna and Jin to have a sleepover with their friends." Celica said in a happy tone
"Hold on, I don't do sleepovers, they sound like something little kids do." Ragna said objecting to the idea
"But its been so long since we've all been together. It would be a shame if it would end with you leaving Ragna. This goes for you too Jin." Celica told the brothers
"I have much better things to do than to have this sleepover. I already agreed to this dinner, but this is most definitely pushing it. The fact that I'm agreeing with Ragna should already indicate how much of a bad idea it is." Jin told Celica in a bold tone
"If you two feel that way, I can't stop either of you from leaving. I'll just have to spend time with them instead. Especially if I decide to get comfortable with revealing certain facts. Like for example certain fears and how certain people responded to them." Celica said with a mischievous smirk causing both Ragna and Jin to mentally freeze up
"Oh do you mean the time . . . ." Saya said before Ragna quickly covered her mouth
"You know what, I guess I can endure one sleepover. I mean I never had it as a kid so it might be an educational experience." Ragna said struggling to smile. While also glad that this could be a chance to stay close to his family in case Cinder tries anything
"One sleepover won't be the death of me, and it will give me a chance to make sure that my team doesn't try anything reckless." Jin said to Celica
"I thought you two would see it that way." Celica said with a smirk
"Now I really want to know what they were like as kids." Yang whispered to Nora and Makoto
"It must be pretty embarrassing for them to actually do what Sister Celica said and not fight each other." Makoto whispered back to Yang
"Oh before I forget, can we invite some friends over? It won't be too many and they won't cause any trouble." Jaune asked Celica
"Sure, like I said there's plenty of room." Celica said giving permission
"Who do you plan on calling?" Amane asked Jaune
"Sun and Neptune seem like good people, so I'll invite them. Oh and Kagura is kinda cool, so he should hang out as well." Jaune suggested
"Well, Kagura is a good friend and reliable. But his impulses is a bit worrisome, I'll invite him regardless." Bang said before he called Kagura
"You know what, we can also invite Tsubaki and Mai as well. This'll be just like when we were all in Atlus." Makoto said to Noel
"While we're at it, we should all get a change of clothes as well." Noel said causing everyone to have a look of a realization
"That's right, we should all get a change of clothes." Pyrrha said with a sudden look on her face
"Yeah, especially Jaune's bunny rabbit pajamas." Nora said causing everyone to laugh except Noel
"Aw come on, I think rabbits are adorable." Noel said trying to make her boyfriend feel better. (but failed to do so)
"Hey that's not . . . ." Jaune said trying to hide his embarrassment but failed before he tried to make an outburst
"You know what, Jin is afraid of . . . ." Jaune said before he found himself half frozen by Jin
"Are you sure you want to risk it?" Jin asked Jaune causing the laughter to stop
"Um . . . no." Jaune answered
"Good decision." Jin said before he destroyed the ice and most of the students to leave to get their things and invite the other students. More specifically, Sun, Neptune, and team KKMT.
"Jin can't take a joke huh?" Blake asked Weiss
"If you knew what he was afraid of, you would see why he reacted the way he did. Ruby knows and she was laughing for hours." Weiss told Blake
"Huh, now I understand why he responded the way he did." Blake responded
(Moments later)
After everyone got back, almost everyone was talking with everyone. Hibiki didn't want to come, since he wanted to spend time studying but gave his other three teammates his blessing to go and have fun. Kagura found himself chatting with Jaune and was introduced to his other teammates. While Mai and Tsubaki was spending time with the members of team RWBY. Yang and Bullet on the other hand spent a few minutes arm wrestling but found that it was still a tie. A few moments have passed and Ruby had an idea that was evident on the look on her face.
"Everyone, as the youngest leader here. I have an idea for an activity that will make this day a blast! No pun intended team BLST, we can have a weapons contest." Ruby said with a great deal of enthusiasm
"Ruby you're the only one who would come up with an idea like that. Besides, we all know my gauntlets are the best." Yang said stopping the arm wrestling match
"No way Yang, my gauntlets are much better by comparison. After all, it has more functions and uses." Bullet said praising her own gauntlets
"That sounds a lot like overcompensation, don't worry you can admit that my gauntlets are better." Yang said in a proud tone
"I can name at least 4 flaws with your gauntlets Yang." Bullet told Yang before the both of them started to yell
"It wouldn't be a fair contest regardless. There would be some form of bias, either for preference for weapons or our own team." Blake said agreeing with Yang
"Not to mention that by default, our weapons pale in comparisons to Aura Weapons." Pyrrha said getting everyone's attention
"That's right, Jin, Noel, and Bang own Aura Weapons. Our weapons don't even compare, so our skills has to make up the difference." Nora quickly said
"Well to be fair, I still can't properly control my Aura weapon and I still need to learn how to get a handle on my aura for combat." Bang said
"Right, and just because I have an Aura Weapon, it doesn't make me strong automatically. I still lose more matches than I win during the sparring sessions in Professor Goodwitch's class." Noel said
"Aura Weapons are strong I won't deny that. But good discipline and training can go a long way." Tsubaki said to everyone
"Not to mention that Aura Weapons choose their masters from what I heard and read." Amane said causing Sun to get an idea
"Well, what if there are some exceptions to that fact. I mean before we saw Aura Weapons in action. A lot of us thought they were rumors. So how about each of us see if we can use other Aura Weapons?" Sun suggested causing Ruby's eyes to light up
"That's a great idea Sun. Let me use your guns Noel." Ruby said before she ran to Noel with her semblance
"I don't think it works that way Ruby and Sun." Noel said trying to keep Ruby away nervously
"Besides, Aura Weapons aren't toys or gimmicks. People in Atlus have tried and have failed many times. What makes you all think that this will be any different?" Jin asked while pinching the bridge of his nose
"Well for starters, you guys know a lot of us on a casual level. Another thing is that we're all young and that might tip things in our favor." Nora said with enthusiasm matching Ruby's
"Then how about a test for each of us to see if we can use an Aura Weapon? Using Jin's sword as a proper test." Ren suggested with everyone agreeing
"Now why in the world would I agree to something like that? Did you guys listen to what I said earlier." Jin asked slowly losing his patience
"Well, Sister Celica was able to convince you and Ragna to stay here with us. So just think of us spending hours and hours pestering you to let us try to use your Aura Weapon. If we do this, we can put this to bed and we won't pester you about it." Jaune told Jin
"It will give us a chance to settle this matter once and for all. Besides Jin, there's a lot about Aura Weapons that people don't know. This could be a good learning moment for us." Weiss told Jin
"Hmm." Jin hummed thinking for a second before he summoned his sword in front of everyone. Yukianesa was dug deep in block of ice. That is similar to a sword that is dug into stone.
"Each of you are welcomed to try, but after today I don't want to be pestered about this. What you have to do is simple, pull Yukianesa out of the ice." Jin told everyone
"Wow cool, now who wants to go first?" Sun asked causing Ruby to run in front of the sword
"I DO, I DO!" Ruby said excitedly before she tried to pull out Yukianesa. Only for the sword to not budge.
"Come on, I just need a bit more time" Ruby said as she was trying to pull out the sword. Only for her hands to slip and for her to fall down
"Ouch." Ruby plainly said after falling
"That's one." Makoto said before she looked around to see who else would trying
"Let's see if I got the strength." Yang said before she tried to pull the sword out of the ice. Only for the result to be the same and she couldn't make the sword budge.
"You know what, I have an idea." Yang said before she executed her idea.
(Seconds Later)
"Come on Bullet, its just a sword it can't be this tough to pull out." Yang said in a strained voice
"This sword is a lot stronger than it looks, I'm pulling as much as I can." Bullet told Yang while the both of them are trying to pull on the sword. After a few more seconds later, the both of them lost their grip and fell down
"There has got to be a trick to it. I refuse to let it end like this." Yang said in a frustrated tone
"Just let it go Yang, you just can't use the sword." Weiss told Yang trying to comfort her
"I might have better luck." Blake said before she approached the sword and tried to pull it. Only for it to not budge at all
"Well I tried, lets see what you can do Weiss." Blake said as Weiss was approaching the sword
"Maybe being Jin's girlfriend might be a special exception." Weiss thought before she tried to pull on the sword, only for nothing to happen.
"Well this isn't pleasant." Weiss said before she went to her team
"Let's see if I can pull the sword." Ren said before he approached the sword.
"You can do it Ren, show that sword who's boss." Nora said cheering on her friend as he tried to pull on the sword. Only for the result to be the same as everyone else
"Looks like I can't use it." Ren said in a calm tone
"Jaune, this is your chance. You might be able to use an Aura Weapon. Just think how adorable it would be. You and your girlfriend Noel are fellow Aura Weapon users." Pyrrha said trying to encourage Jaune
"Um, I don't know Pyrrha. I mean my weapons are technically traditional and it wouldn't feel right to . . . ." Jaune said before Nora went behind him
"Consider it a chance to make to prove yourself then." Nora said before she pushed Jaune to Jin's sword
"Alright Jaune, we know you can do it." Ruby said trying to cheer her friend on
"Don't forget, the warrior makes the weapon good. It's not the other way around. So prove yourself to that Aura Weapon and use it." Kagura said giving Jaune some encouragement as well
"OK, I can do this, I just need to believe in myself." Jaune said as he was trying to tug on Jin's sword. Though nothing was happening like with the previous attempts
"Dang it, the sword won't budge." Jaune said in a slightly disheartened tone
"At least you tried Jaune." Noel said trying to cheer Jaune up
"Hey Ragna, maybe you should go next. There might be an exception to blood relatives who can use aura." Yang suggested to Ragna
"Oh no, I've had enough of that sword to last a lifetime. The only time I want to go near that sword, is when I've beaten Jin for our annual end of year fight until we graduate." Ragna said to Yang
"That sounds a lot like fear brother. Its fine, after all it is only natural for you to be scared of the weapon that I will use to best you." Jin told Ragna in a bold tone
"You know what Jin, your on. But I'll do more than just pull out the sword. I'll smash your head with it." Ragna told Jin as he was making his way to Yukianesa. When Ragna got to the sword he proceeded to grab it. Unfortunately, Yukianesa glowed a bright light and tried to freeze Ragna. Everyone was caught by surprise by the bright light and was unable to do anything to stop Yukianesa from freezing Ragna further. Before Ragna was frozen completely, Jin regained himself and called back Yukianesa and stopped the glowing and prevented Ragna from being frozen further. Once the light dissipated, Jin used his semblance to break the ice Ragna was trapped in, before Celica came to the living room with a worried look.
"What happened, is everyone alright?" Celica asked in a concerned tone
"We're fine, something just got a bit crazy that's all." Ragna said not wanting Celica to get worried
"I see, well if you guys need me, don't hesitate to call me." Celica said before she went back to her room
"What was that?" Pyrrha asked in a concerned tone
"I don't know, I guess there was something about Ragna that Jin's sword doesn't like." Makoto said voicing her thoughts
"It must have sensed the Grimm Aura in me and responded." Ragna thought to himself before he spoke
"You know what, it probably got tired of trying to be used by a lot of people that can't use it." Ragna said in a joking tone
"That is a possibility now that I think about. There's so much we don't know about Aura Weapons. So we can't rule anything out like that." Amane said agreeing with Ragna
"Then I suggest we try again after the tournament. Since we would have gotten a lot of experience by that point. Thus making us automatically worthy to use an Aura Weapon." Ruby quickly said
"Good idea, except there's one simple detail that your ignoring. None of you can use Aura Weapons except for Noel and Bang. Though Noel needs to get better with her Aura Weapon and Bang needs to actually learn how to use his. Since he obviously has no control over how it works." Jin said causing Ruby to pout
"He does have a point, several of us tried to pull out the sword but to no avail. I guess as it stands we can't use Aura Weapons." Kagura said with most of the students agreeing
"But we can't just give up on being able to use one. I mean, what if we weren't chosen yet and we tried to use it too early?" Sun said voicing his thoughts on the situation
"That is a possibility, but for now lets just drop the subject." Mai said with everyone agreeing
"In that case, its time for us to watch movies!" Ruby announced which had gotten everyone's attention
"In that case, its time for our guy exclusive movie watch-a-thon." Jaune said with a lot of enthusiasm
"Don't forget the girls watch-a-thon." Ruby said matching Jaune's enthusiasm
"Ruby and Jaune are really into this huh Makoto?" Yang whispered to Makoto
"Well, its not often we have a chance to just relax like this, especially when you remember everything that happened. So lets just roll with it and make the best of this." Makoto responded to Yang
"I can't believe I'm going to have to participate." Ragna said in a tired tone
"You can always not participate, but don't forget what Sister Celica will do to us." Jin told Jin causing him to growl
"Fine, at least this can give us a chance to try to act like brothers. Though I would prefer to fight you, but we can't get what we want I suppose." Ragna said to Jin
"Then its decided, this'll be the best movie night ever." Ruby said with energy
"Yeah, I bet we have some exciting movies to look forward to." Nora said with a smile
(Moments Later)
"What do you mean you don't have the movie you wanted us to watch?" Nora asked Ruby after all the girls changed into their sleeping clothes
"Well um, I was so excited about spending the night out. I forgot to get the movie I wanted us to watch." Ruby said in an awkward tone to Nora
"Don't worry Nora, I'm certain that we can find something to watch. The T.V. here can connect to our scroll. So I know that at least one of us purchased a movie digitally that we can all enjoy." Pyrrha said causing all the girls in the room to think for a moment
"I know a movie we can watch, have any of you heard of a movie called, Forbidden romance between the Kingdoms?" Mai said causing all the girls to think for a second
"I remember that movie, its about the princes from three of the kingdoms falling in love with the princess of the fourth kingdom. But their anger towards their fellow princes drove them to war. So that not only their kingdom would thrive, but one of them would get the princess's hand in marriage." Tsubaki said describing the movie
"A romance movie, come on we're better than that." Ruby said to everyone
"Besides, I heard that movie has a plot twist that makes some of the characters unlikable." Makoto said
"Well it does, but even though the movie is a romance, there is a lot of tragedy to it. The princes did what they did for the love of their kingdoms and the love of the princess. But that love eventually became an obsession and it drove them to madness. Which ultimately blinded them from their conviction." Mai briefly explained
"I heard that the movie is good also. But with the tournament coming up, I don't think a tragic romance will be a good idea since we'll be training starting tomorrow." Weiss said
"I agree, I think we'll all be better off with something that has action." Bullet said
"Then I have a movie in mind. The movie we can watch is called The Crusade of the Six Heroes." Tsubaki told everyone
"A movie involving the Six Heroes. Now that sounds like a movie that can get me pumped up." Ruby said with excitement
"Wait, isn't that a fictional movie about the Six Heroes fighting against the cult of the Aura Beast one year after they destroyed it?" Blake asked Tsubaki
"Of course, even though its fiction, I believe they have the personalities down pact. I have other movies if this one isn't your fancy." Tsubaki said to everyone
"Why am I not surprised, you always were a fan of the Six Heroes." Makoto said to Tsubaki
"Well it does sound like a good movie and some of us are eager to watch it. Not to mention that this movie has a lot of good reviews." Blake said
"Then its settled, we all get to watch The Crusade of the Six Heroes." Ruby said excitedly
"Sorry Mai, looks like we'll watch the romance movie next time." Noel told Mai comforting her
"You don't mind watching this with us do you Saya?" Pyrrha asked Saya
"Its fine, I'm happy with any movie to be honest." Saya responded
"I wonder what movie the guys will pick?" Yang thought out loud
(The Guys Room)
"Alright guys, now that we're all here. We have a choice between two movies. One of the choices is called the Revengers. The second choice is called, Kingdom Combat. Now what choice will either of you guys make?" Jaune said in a proud tone after everyone changed into their sleepwear.
"Dude, you can't deny the awesomeness of the Revengers. Like the Savage Beast becoming a powerful Faunus when he gets mad and able to destroy his enemies while also being able to commune with the animals and command them." Sun said with a lot of excitement
"I've seen that move as well and my favorite one is Sergeant Remnant. With nothing but his shield, skills, training, and determination. He was able to save the world numerous times. He even did all of that without the use of his semblance." Bang said with a great deal of passion.
"But Kingdom Combat is a cult classic and has its fair share of action. Not to mention it's a lot more grounded. Also as an added bonus, that movie established an iconic phrase by one of the villains." Ren said to everyone before he looked at Jaune with a menacing look and pointed at him
"Your soul is mine." Ren said as he was pointing at his team leader
"Besides, Kingdom Combat was also based on a video game and all things considered it did pretty well." Neptune said to everyone
"I do have a soft spot for Titanius. The guy is a genius, billionaire, and philanthropist. Who made a metallic suit in a cave with a box of scraps and managed to refine it and become a hero. Not to mention he has a very good track record with the ladies." Kagura said in a happy tone
"I don't really keep up with movies, so I don't care what you choose." Ragna said in a calm tone
"The same goes for me, though if you want a recommendation that badly. I suggest we go with the Revengers. Since that movie has the more focused story." Jin said to Jaune
"Sorry Ren and Neptune, but it looks like the majority wants to watch Revengers." Amane told the two guys trying to comfort them
"It'll be fine, I practically had to fight with my sisters to get the tickets to see it in theaters." Jaune said in a proud tone
"Well were you able to succeed?" Sun asked
"Um . . . . let's watch the movie." Jaune said giving the indicator that he lost to his sisters
(Moments Later)
"All right Titanius, show those Grimm whose boss." Kagura said cheering on the hero
"Don't count out Zeus, his thunder powers is making short work of those Grimm." Neptune said
"Each of them are powerful, but you have to give some praise to Sergeant Remnant. He's able to destroy the Grimm and those cultist at the same time." Bang said getting into the movie
"Not to mention Eagle Eye and Black Mamba are working amazingly well together." Ren said while watching the movie
"I've always wondered, if Zeus is so powerful. Then why isn't he using all of his power to destroy the Grimm in one go?" Sun asked
"Then none of you were paying attention." Jin said quickly getting everyone's attention
"The movie makes it clear that his powers are limited when he's outside of his realm. Not to mention that they are fighting in a populated city. If he uses his full power, a lot of people will die." Jin briefly explained surprising the guys further
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you were paying attention." Jaune told Jin
"Since I can't go to sleep, I figured that it wouldn't be a complete waste of time if I watch the movie." Jin responded to Jaune
"I have to admit, I don't keep up with movies that much. But I gotta say that this is pretty entertaining." Ragna said with a smirk
"If you like this, then wait until I tell you guys about the saga of the Eternity Stones. You see to better understand you have to . . . ." Jaune said before Amane covered Jaune's mouth
"As tempting as it is for them to know about that particular movie saga. I think it would be best if they watch and enjoy this movie." Amane told Jaune with him nodding in agreement
(The girl's room)
"This movie is so cool, cat person is fighting all those cultist with his amazing skills meow." Tao said in an excited tone while watching the movie
"I know, and the way they have Hakumen fight all those cultists. He decimated them with practically no effort. Then when he killed one of the cult leaders who had all those people captured. He spouted his epic speech and struck him down with one swing." Ruby said matching Tao's excitement
"Don't forget the part when those other cult leaders got a lot of power and fought Nine and Platinum. Nine used her magic power to transport them into another dimension and trapped them there. While Platinum used her powers to rebuild the castle with her abilities." Mai said while watching the movie
"You know, I must admit that I'm curious about something. Out of all the Six Heroes, which one I your favorite?" Pyrrha asked
"It's so hard to choose, Jubei and Valkenhayn are awesome Faunus and kick loads of butt. Terumi is so mysterious. Platinum is very smart and can make cool weapons. Nine can use amazing magical powers. While Hakumen is the physical embodiment of cool." Ruby said refusing to choose which of the Six Heroes is her favorite.
"My choices would be, Jubei, Valkenhayn, and Hakumen." Blake said making her choice
"Cat person, my village really likes him and I like him meow. I remember when he used to come by." Tao said getting everyone's attention
"Wait, Jubei used to visit the Kaka village and you didn't tell us?" Nora said in a surprised tone
"He used to, but I don't see him anymore meow." Tao said calmly
"Too be fair, I don't think a lot of people would have believed her." Pyrrha said defending Tao
"Heh well if you think that is cool. Then wait until we tell you guys about. . . . ." Ruby said before Yang rushed to cover her mouth
"That's a secret Ruby, or do you want Ragna to tear you apart." Yang whispered before she removed her hand from Ruby's mouth
"What was she trying to say?" Mai asked
"That Hakumen saved Jaune and Cardin." Yang said before Tsubaki rushed up to her
"Are you serious, what did he do, what did he say, was he as cool as the legends. Was he the same person like that web video?" Tsubaki asked in a tone mixed with enthusiasm and curiosity
"I think he said something to Jaune and Cardin, but I'm not really certain." Ruby said before Tsubaki stepped back
"I'm sorry, but I'm a big fan of Hakumen. I've gotten all the movies about the Six Heroes, and the Hakumen hero figure collection. I was also the president of the Six Hero fan club when I was a kid. I can't be a member anymore since I'm too old. But I do buy the Hakumen solo movie series." Tsubaki said with a lot of excitement before she regained her composure
"Wow, talk about going fan girl." Makoto commented
"That's so cool, we should meet up and trade notes sometimes." Ruby said to Tsubaki
"I would like that Ruby. It's always nice to meet a fellow fan." Tsubaki said in a happy tone before Ruby took a quick glance at the movie
"Look, the end credits are coming. I think that the special song will be played. Weiss I want you to sing the credits song." Ruby told Weiss
"Ruby, I admit that I'm a fan of Hakumen. But you must be insane of you think I'm going to sing the credits song." Weiss said in a defiant tone
(A few seconds later)
"The name is Hakumen. Given to a way of life not blindly following the road." Tsubaki sang passionately
"They call him Hakumen. Shatter any barriers that stand in between him and his goal. Destroy, tonight, all the evil soul." Weiss sang matching Tsubaki's passion for the song
"Terminate the repeating. Chain of accursed agony." Both Weiss and Tsubaki sang together in perfect harmony with high quality
"Wow, the both of them are really good. They matched both the rhythm and the lyrics." Pyrrha commented to Ruby and Yang
"Yeah, if I didn't know any better, I'd say they know the song by heart." Ruby said with the Yang and Pyrrha agreeing with a nod
(The guys room)
"Well now that the movies over, anyone want to watch Kingdom Combat?" Jaune asked
"That movie was a bit long. I don't think I have the energy to watch another movie." Ren said to Jaune
"Well we gotta do something, we can't let it end like this." Sun said causing the guys to think
"I have an idea, how about we talk about cute girls." Kagura told everyone
"Well what girls can we talk about?" Neptune asked Kagura
"Our fellow friends and teammates, they would make the best point of conversation." Kagura said
"Umm, I can't do that Kagura. Noel is my girlfriend and if she asks me, I'll have to tell her the truth. If she tells Makoto, then I could get hurt. Really badly." Jaune said in a cautious tone
"Its just us guys and we're not saying anything bad. The fact that we call them cute is already a good sign." Kagura said in a mischievous tone
"Why am I not surprised at this Kagura, didn't you remember what happened with the Huntresses who visited Ronin-Gai years ago?" Bang asked Kagura
"That sounds like an interesting story." Neptune commented
"A few years ago, when we were in Ronin-Gai. A travelling group of Huntresses visited Ronin-Gai and stayed for a few days. Kagura caught wind of it and kept track of them until one day. The Huntresses were in the Hot-Springs in Ronin Gai and spent time to relax. Kagura had the bright idea to try and peep at them. He even went the extra mile and prepare the Hot-Springs before hand. His mistake was his allergies and he was quickly discovered. Lord Tenjo compensated them and apologized to them. She made Kagura clean up the Hot-Springs for a month as punishment. When I asked Kagura did he learn his lesson. He said that he did, he'll take allergy pills next time so he won't get caught easily." Bang explained to the guys causing them to awkwardly look at Kagura
"Oh come on, a group of attractive women in a Hot Spring that I happen to be close to. I admit it, haven't any of you guys been tempted to peep?" Kagura asked everyone
"Well, he does have a point." Neptune said agreeing with Kagura
"We were all young once and we matured." Jaune said defending Kagura as well
"Exactly, and its not like we're going to peep at them. It's just a friendly chat about their great qualities." Kagura said
"Hmm, I supposed that makes sense." Ren said
"So with that being said, Ren, how long have you and Nora been together?" Kagura bluntly asked
"Um Kagura, we're not exactly together. We're just childhood friends who stood by each other for years." Ren responded to Kagura
"Right, keep telling yourself and everyone that." Kagura said before he looked at Sun
"So tell me Sun, is there any girl around here that strikes your fancy?" Kagura asked
"Well I do think Blake is cool and incredible. But I think she's haunted by her past and a lot of other things." Sun responded
"If that's the case, then help her as best as you can. If you care about someone and see that the person is suffering. Then you should help ease their pain and stop their suffering. By being the best friend that they need. The person may not want it initially. But once everything is done, I can assure you that they will appreciate it. It won't be easy, but the things in life that's worth it never is." Kagura told Sun
"Interesting words of wisdom Kagura, thank you. I appreciate it and I will remember this." Sun said in an appreciative tone
"Which reminds me, I noticed that you hang around Yang a lot. So tell me, what do you think of her?" Jaune asked in a curious tone
"Well the best way for me to describe it, is that she's like the big sister I never had and knew I wanted. From what I know about her, Yang is someone I can relate to in many ways. She likes to have fun and is a thrill seeker. But when the situation calls for it, she can be real supportive. Which is something I like in a big sister." Ragna explained to everyone
"That's actually pretty nice Ragna." Amane commented
"Before I forget, how are things going with you and Noel? I know that she's pretty happy to be going out with you. After all, she's had a crush on you for months." Ragna told Jaune causing him to be surprised
"Things are going good Ragna, but how did you know that she had a crush on me." Jaune asked
"She always looked forward to being in the classes that you were in. She also never liked a joke that was made at your expense. It was kinda obvious when you think about it. Just treat her right and do your best." Ragna told Jaune
"I know Ragna, Makoto made that very clear to me a few months ago." Jaune told Ragna
"So I have to ask, which of the girls has the best features?" Kagura asked catching everyone by surprise
"Um . . . . what do you mean by that Kagura?" Jaune asked in a nervous tone
"You know, the best legs, figures, even assets. Its just us guys so we can keep it a secret. In fact we can even mention sister Celi . . . ." Kagura said before Ragna grabbed his hair and Jin summoned his sword and put it to Kagura's neck
"Be very smart about your next choice of words Kagura. Because I have no problem teaching you a permanent lesson." Ragna told Kagura
"I can do a lot of things with my Aura Weapon and Semblance, so it will be very easy to make it look like an accident." Jin said before Kagura spoke
"What I meant is that we leave Sister Celica and Saya out of this." Kagura quickly said
"Just as I thought." Ragna said before him and Jin let go of Kagura
"Well we shouldn't mention Weiss either. Jin is going out with her and he might not have the best response." Jaune said warning Kagura. After hearing Jaune warning, Kagura took a glance at Jin and noticed a death glare and got the message
"Fair enough, so who has the biggest bust? Ren I want you to answer." Kagura said causing Ren to think for a second
"Kagura, in good consciousness I can't answer that question. We don't know who might be listening in. Also if our friends catches wind of this, then we will no doubt live to regret it." Ren advised to Kagura
"Alright fine, but this isn't over and you owe me for this." Kagura told Ren
"I understand, but what can we do now?" Ren asked everyone
"Well, we might as well watch Kingdom Combat." Jaune said with everyone agreeing with him before he put the movie on
(The girl's room)
"So what can we do now? I can still stay up but I don't want to watch another movie." Nora said in a slightly impatient tone
"We have to watch it with the noise though. I put Saya in the same room as Sister Celica after she fell asleep. So lets try not to cause too much of a ruckus." Makoto told everyone
"I've been meaning to ask, what kind of a leader is Kagura? Bang said that Kagura is a handful and Makoto said that you guys complain about him being a headache." Noel asked in a curious tone
"The best description I can give is that he is as playful and relaxed as he is a capable leader. Though he acts casual, he's determined, clever, and very good in a fight." Tsubaki briefly explained to Bullet
"Wow, I bet he's an awesome person that I can look up to. Kagura sounds so cool, I bet my uncle would take a liking to him." Ruby said in a admirable tone
"Don't learn everything from him Ruby." Mai warned
"Oh really, then what are his biggest problems?" Ruby asked in a curios tone
"He's a shameless, flirtatious, pervert." Tsubaki and Mai plainly said to everyone
"Oh come on, I doubt he's that bad." Nora said
"When our team was first formed at the Academy in Atlus. Kagura tried to peep at us a couple of times. We had to beat the daylights out of him for him to stop." Mai told everyone
"I remember when he groped me after I had a training session with Bang. I can't tell you how satisfying it was to knock him into Kingdom Come." Bullet said
"Well I do admit that he sounds like he has flaws. But I get the feeling that Kagura is a good person beneath that. He's already cool, so that's already a plus in my book." Ruby said
"I agree, you guys wouldn't have stood by him for as long as you did if he was unpleasant. Like for example Jin, he can be a bit harsh. But he has a lot of good traits that shows there's a kind and noble person beneath all of that." Noel said
"I do have to agree, I never expected to see good in someone like Jin. Thinking back on it, there were several points when he could have made things a lot harder for Jaune but didn't. But after seeing more of him, I must admit that he truly is a good person. He's even good friends with Jaune." Pyrrha said giving Jin words of praise
"Speaking of leader, how is Bang doing as a leader?" Nora asked Bullet and Tao
"Well he's really scruffy meow. But he is a nice guy and buys me food when I ask for it." Tao answered
"Tao, you pester Bang until he gives in to your hunger. You even snag his food during breakfast and lunch when you think no one's looking." Bullet said causing the girls to laugh
"Well what do you think of him Bullet?" Blake asked in a curious tone
"Even though he's headstrong and a bit of a stiff. He's always kind to people and is passionate about helping people. He's reliable and will stand by you while not being judgmental. Though he can be a bit too trusting, I must admit that I'm glad to have met him." Bullet told the girls
"That sounds so nice Bullet. Tell me Yang, what do you think of Ragna? You spend a lot of time with him, so you must have some opinion about him?" Nora asked in a curious tone
"Well to be honest, I see Ragna as a brother that I can relate to Though there are some differences between us, I see a lot of myself in Ragna. I do admit that there is some roughness to him." Yang said
"That's an understatement." Weiss commented causing the girls to laugh
"But, I see that he's the kind of person who will do the right thing no matter what. He's kinda like Ruby but more aggressive. Like when he beat up those corrupt cops a few months ago." Yang said to everyone
"I remember Noel telling me about that. Though it is very unfortunate that the racism towards the Faunus has reached those whose duty is to protect us. It is comforting that someone is willing to stand up to the corruption. Though Ragna went about it too aggressively, given the situation I understand why he did what he had to do." Tsubaki said causing most of the girls to nod in agreement
"Exactly, plus Ragna trusts me and that is something I really appreciate." Yang said in a happy tone
"You know, since Ragna and Jin are brothers. I wonder what Ragna will look like with blonde hair." Ruby thought out loud
"I doubt it would look as good as my blonde hair." Yang said in a confident tone
"That's a stretch Yang, I mean Noel has blonde hair as long as yours and it looks just as good." Bullet said before everyone looked at Noel
"Hmm, Hey Noel, have you ever thought about a different hairstyle?" Pyrrha asked in a curious tone
"Nah, I honestly can't think of anything. I wanted to try for a shorter haircut, but I think I would look like a boy if I do." Noel said before she held up a good portion of her hair to prove her point
"You know, I actually see that the more I look at it." Ruby said after envisioning Noel with shorter hair
"You already do have the figure so you can pass off as a b….." Nora said before Pyrrha quickly covered her mouth
"You could pass off as a beautiful young woman Noel." Pyrrha said before she removed her mouth
"The more I look at you with your hair like that Noel. I can't help but get the feeling that I'm looking at a female Jin." Blake commented causing the girls to look further
"Now that you mention it your right. Noel kinda does look like Jin but female and with longer hair." Makoto said after taking a closer look at her
"Since Noel is adopted like Jin, wouldn't it be crazy if it turned out their related to each other?" Mai asked causing the girls to think for a moment
"Um, lets not think about things like that." Noel said before she let her hair down
"Being related to Jin won't be that bad." Weiss quickly said
"Don't forget Weiss, if you marry Jin. You'll have to be related to Ragna by marriage. So just imagine the family gatherings." Yang said in a mischievous tone causing Weiss to throw a pillow at her. Causing everyone to laugh at the situation
(The living room)
After Saya was deep asleep on the bed, Celica decided to sit in the living room and drink some coffee. As she drank her coffee, Celica was thinking very happily about being reunited with both Jin and Ragna. Though the both of them had a tragic falling out 8 years ago. Celica always believed that someday they could move past their differences and grievances and come together properly as a family. Though Celica felt some guilt for blackmailing both and Ragna to stick around. She was proud of the end result and it felt like a family was reunited after so many years.
"I see you couldn't sleep huh?' Ragna said getting Celica out of her train of thoughts
"I couldn't, so I decided to just drink some coffee and bask in the moment." Celica said while looking at Ragna
"Same here, after watching another movie. Everyone was exhausted and fell asleep. I had a few things on my mind so I figured coming out here was a good idea." Ragna told Celica
"So how does it feel being a leader of your own team Ragna?" Celica asked
"I don't know what to feel. On one hand I am feeling the responsibility of what is needed from a leader. But after several months, I don't think that it fully sunk in yet." Ragna told Celica
"Ragna, I see that you have a lot of people that trusts you to be the best leader that you can be. I know that you can be a bit impulsive at times. But I see a good person who will do the right thing for the people." Celica said in a reassuring tone
"You wouldn't have revealed those things about what me and Jin did regarding our fears would you?" Ragna asked Celica
"I guess you caught my bluff Ragna. But it was the only thing I could think of to get you and Jin to stay." Celica told Ragna
"Well, I hate to admit it, but hanging out with everyone was actually nice. Can't believe I'm saying this but I actually enjoyed myself. Watching the movies with Jin made it feel like we were brothers. It even felt like what happened 8 years ago never happened." Ragna said before he took a deep breath and spoke
"Yang, knows what happened, it wasn't easy to tell her but I did." Ragna told Celica surprising her
"I see, what did she say?" Celica asked
"She said that I should try to mend things. I see what she's saying but its hard you know. After what happened in Central City, me and Jin decided to have an end of year fight starting next year. It would be a good way for us to let out our anger and settle things. Its not the best idea but it's a step in the right direction all things considered." Ragna told Celica
"Well I don't condone violence Ragna, but this isn't the worst outcome." Celica said
"Sister Celica, I have people that are relying on me. How do I know that I won't screw it up, or make a situation get worst?" Ragna asked Celica causing her to give Ragna a gentle look
"Ragna, inside you I see a little boy who despite his impulsive nature. Cares a lot about people and will do what it takes to help them. As long as you learn from your mistakes and keep putting your best foot forward. Then I know that you will be the Huntsman you need to be. Don't forget Ragna, no matter what happens, I'll always believe in you." Celica told Ragna with a reassuring smile
"Thank you Sister Celica, you always did know what to say at times like these." Ragna told Celica
"Hehehehe, anytime Ragna." Sister Celica said before Ragna left. After a few seconds, Sister Celica spoke further
"I know your there Jin." Celica said causing Jin to appear before she spoke further
"Jin, don't think that just because I believe in Ragna. Doesn't mean that I don't believe in you as well. You have grown and matured to be a great young man. Despite being a bit rough around the edges. But you have the potential to be something great. I believe in you as well Jin, don't ever forget that." Celica told Jin
"The people are calling me the Hero of Vale. I feel honored by the title, but how can I be the type of person they expect me to be?" Jin asked Celica
"Don't let their expectations control the type of person you want to be. As long as you do what you can with your best efforts. Then you will understand what you have to do and become. The Six Heroes never had anyone to guide them and nobody expected anything from them. So what I'm trying to say is that you do your best. As I said Jin, I believe in you as much as I believe in Ragna." Celica explained to Jin
"Thank you, Sister Celica." Jin said before he left. Once Jin left, Celica started to speak after she was alone.
"Ranga, Jin, Saya, each of you are family to me and I cherish the time we spend together. You are all people that's important and precious to me. Now I know and understand how you felt Nine. If only you could meet them, you would be proud of me big sister." Celica said before she drank the rest of her coffee

There are a good number references in this chapter, so I wonder if anyone will be able to catch them. I will reveal two interesting facts about this chapter though, the song that Tsubaki and Weiss sang is an actual song. Another fact is that the reason I chose to have Weiss and Tsubaki sing is that in the RWBY series Weiss is said to be a good singer. As for Tsubaki, her Japanese voice actress sang the Continuum shift 2 opening Shinsō. (Which is my favorite opening of the blazblue games). So I figured that the two singing together would be a good fit.
Also, I am not going to give a detailed description of what the girls or guys are wearing for their sleepwear.
One more thing, in chapter 24, Rachel told Ragna that he has half of the Grimm Aura. Which is how Ragna remembered when Yukianesa tried to freeze Ragna. I wanted to mention it to prevent a potential misunderstanding.
