Disclaimer: I do not own the blazblue franchise or the RWBY franchise they belong to their respective owners

(A/N) Thank you everyone for your thoughts and opinions on Winter's statement about Ragna from the previous chapter. Since I've gotten so many responses, its only fair that I share my own thoughts on Winter's statement about Ragna.

In my honest opinion, I both disagree and agree with Winter about Ragna not being the ideal Huntsman. The reason I disagree with her is that in this story Ragna's main drive is to help people but in his own way. I do admit that he is very aggressive about it, but his aggression does get immediate results. Which in a way makes him the kind of Huntsman that Remnant needs. Everyone in the RWBY series and the Blazblue series has flaws, but how they accept and improve on those flaws can be what makes a great and endearing character. Unlike some of the other characters in RWBY and Blazblue, Ragna knows he has flaws and unlike most other characters. Ragna fully admits those flaws and tries to improve on them.

It has been established that the job of a Huntsman is to protect the people. Ragna knows he has power and he will do whatever it takes to help the people and protect them. If it means he'll go against authority, he'll do so. When traveling and training with Jubei, Ragna sees too many people who suffer when either Huntsman, Huntresses, or the Kingdoms easily disregard the lives of people their supposed to protect. Which adds to his drive to protect the people in need. Since Ragna didn't suffer the tragedies he went through in the games, this is a chance for him to do something with his abilities and potential that doesn't involve mass murder or him becoming a criminal.

Though I do agree with Winter in that he's not exactly an ideal Huntsman. Because his aggression could unintentionally make things worse in the long run. For example, similar to the example of Ragna and Jin as police officers I made back in chapter 18. If Ragna does things like that as a police officer. He will get a lot of respect as an individual. However, a lot of people will lose faith in the system of the police and will start to take the law into their own hands. Which will also likely lead to an increase in vigilante activity. Ragna as a police officer will be happy about that, but in the long run it will cause a lot of problems. Which also leads to another one of Ragna's biggest weaknesses, he doesn't think things through. Ragna not thinking things through has caused him a lot of problems and to some extent will continue to cause him problems. As a Huntsman, he's going to have to think his actions through.

Another thing that's not helping Winter's perspective about Ragna is that she has a bad first impression of him. Due to the letters from Weiss and their first meeting. Winter doesn't really know Ragna to really understand why he does the things he do. A good example of this is the example of Thomas Wayne from the Joker movie, (Thanks for the idea UltimateDemonBeast65) Thomas Wayne doesn't understand the full struggle of the lower class citizens of Gotham which made his statement in the interview of the movie very toxic. Winter knowing more about Ragna will give her a better understanding of how and why Ragna does the things he do.

But I can assure you all, there will not be a scene of Ragna telling Winter she gets what she %^#&ing deserves like in the movie. I might parody that in the chibi chapters, but I'm still not certain. Also, Winter's statement about mistake really means that Ragna being in Beacon is a mistake.

It is true that Ragna initially didn't want to be at Beacon. But Jubei wants to make sure that Ragna doesn't waste his potential and he's going to Beacon mainly on the strength of Celica, Saya, and Jubei since they support and care about him a lot. (Nice job catching that detail Unsung Senpai) Beacon is also a good place to help Ragna better himself.

A good example of this would be Ragna's brother Jin in this story. From what was shown of Atlus in Volume 7 of RWBY. If Jin had gone to the Academy in Atlus. Nobody would call out Jin for his attitude and behavior. If anything they would likely be encouraged, especially if he works for General Ironwood. He would be just like canon Jin from the games, or maybe worse. But being in Beacon has helped changed Jin for the better. One of the biggest praises I've gotten regarding Jin is his friendship with Jaune. If Jin had gone to Atlus instead, he would never be friends with Jaune.

Since Beacon was able to help change Jin for the better. It would be entirely possible for Ragna to change for the better as well. Or at the very least, give him a better sense of purpose and direction. Though I will say this, I would rather have Ragna be a Huntsman. Because at leasat with him, I'll know that he'll do whatever it takes to protect the people and Beacon can help him better himself. Ragna does belong in Beacon, but I do agree with some of Winter's points.

I've noticed that RWBY hasn't really been touched on what would be an ideal Huntsman or Huntress. For Ruby its Qrow since she looks up to him. Though for Weiss, its Winter since she looks up to her. There are many questions about what would make an ideal Huntsman and Huntress. I'll do what I can to address this, but it will take some time.

Chapter 46 A chance to catch up

(Amity Arena)

It didn't take Kagura too long to recover after being knocked way by Zato's punch. Fortunately for him, Kagura's skills with his large sword allowed him to recover and regain his footing in the arena. Unfortunately for Kagura though, he didn't get much time to get his bearings because Venom started to relentlessly attack him. Kagura used his sword to block Venom's initial attack. After blocking the attack, Kagura quickly kicked Venom away from him and proceeded to spin slash his sword at Venom. Using the weight and momentum of his large sword, Kagura was able to increase the spin speed and used his skills to change the slashing directions and made the attacks unpredictable.

Venom spent a good deal of time trying to block Kagura's sword attacks with his pool cue weapon. Every time Venom tried to counter attack with his stick or billiard balls, Kagura's attack would interrupt him. After a few more seconds, Kagura decided to throw his sword at Venom. The older student was able to avoid Kagura's thrown sword. But quickly realized that it's what Kagura wanted when he noticed the cloth attached the sword and Kagura's smirk. After throwing the sword, Kagura pulled on the cloth and brought back his sword. Venom quickly backflipped to avoid the returned sword and was able to make space between himself and Kagura.

"It appears that you remembered my capabilities from a few weeks ago. It was wise of you to not give me a chance to attack." Venom told Kagura giving him praise

"Thanks for the compliment, but I'm still not going to hold back." Kagura said before he continued to fight against Venom

Before Kagura got close, Venom hit several pool balls at Kagura. After seeing the pool balls, Kagura quickly deflected them. Some of them were deflected but a good number of them were destroyed and covered Kagura's sword in a liquid. After Kagura destroyed the pool balls. He took a closer look at the liquid that's covering his sword and he noticed the thickness and realized that its oil. When Kagura looked at his surroundings, he saw that the pool balls that are floating in the air are red and is filled with fire dust and realized what Venom's plan was.

When Kagura realized the plan, he proceeded to run and get away from the floating pool balls as fast as possible. Unfortunately for him, the pool balls were launched to Kagura too quickly and proceeded to explode in a fiery blaze. As Kagura was running, he noticed that he was creating a trail of oil and the flames that were made continued to follow him. Every time Kagura tried to jump around the rocky terrain. The pool balls were launched following him. Kagura continued to dodge until he thought of an idea that was risky but rewarding. Kagura then decided to go and run around the rocky terrain even more. After a few more seconds Venom noticed that Kagura wasn't moving further and launched several pool balls at his location. Afterwards, there was a large explosion and in covered a good deal of the area.

Before Venom left to go and help Zato. He quickly found himself avoiding several razor winds that was thrown in his direction. After Venom dodged a good number of them. He was barely able to notice Kagura running towards him, but couldn't do anything to stop Kagura's jump kick. After getting kicked, Venom was knocked back a bit. But was able to hold his ground.

"I see, you used the explosion the mask your movements and was able to catch me off guard. But you left yourself unarmed, are you prepared to fight me as you are?" Venom asked Kagura

"There's a lot more to me than my sword. If anything, it'll actually be nice to fight someone hand to hand for once. My friend is much better at hand to hand fighting than I am, so this'll be good for the experience." Kagura said in a confident tone before he proceeded to fight against Venom

"Wow, Kagura is so cool and confident." Ruby said in an impressed tone while watching the fight

"True but it is a bit reckless for him to fight someone unarmed. Is he trying to be cocky?" Pyrrha asked in a curious tone

"He's not trying to be cocky, if anything he's counting on being underestimated." Mai said quickly getting her nearby friends attention

"Mai's right, Kagura is a much more hard working than he looks and is skilled in several different fighting styles." Tsubaki added

As Kagura was fighting Venom, Hibiki was fighting against Zato. Both Zato and Hibiki were in the forest section of the arena and Hibiki spent a good deal of time maneuvering around the forest. Zato on the other hand stood completely still and patiently waited for Hibiki to attack him. After a few minutes have passed, Hibiki decided on a plan and emerged from the shadows behind Zato. Before Hibiki was able to land his attack, Zato managed to quickly notice Hibiki's sword attacks and managed to dodge them with relative ease.

When Hibiki realized that none of his sword attacks were going to reach Zato. He quickly thought of an idea and decided to quickly move around the forest using a combination of his natural speed and semblance. Since the majority of the forest area is covered by a natural shade from the trees and leaves. It would be easy for Hibiki to move around the shaded area at a blinding speed due to his semblance. As Hibiki was moving at a blinding speed, Zato stayed calm and once again patiently waited. Once again Hibiki moved towards Zato but this time, he dodged Hibiki's attacks by jumping over him. This time though, Hibiki headed towards aa shadow and blended into it. The second after Hibiki dived into the shadow, several dark birds flew out of the shadow in swarms. Zato was able to quickly dodge the swarm of shadow birds and the ones he couldn't dodge. He quickly destroyed them with a quick series of punches and kicks.

"You manage to utilize your semblance with the environments and optimize your full capabilities. But this fight must reach its end." Zato said before he found himself surrounded by a swarm of shadow birds.

Woah, that Zato guy is amazingly calm even when he's surrounded by those creepy birds." Nora said while watching the match

"Its important for a Huntsman to be able to maintain their composure at all times. Though it is a both impressive and concerning that he remained calm during the entire match. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he still has a trick up his sleeves." Ren said while watching the match

"If that's the case, then I wonder what his semblance is?" Bullet asked out loud while watching

After a few more seconds of being surrounded by the shadow birds. Zato found himself quickly blocking several attacks that Hibiki made. After blocking a few attacks, Zato made a smirk after realizing what Hibiki's plan was. Hibiki's plan is to overwhelm Zato with the shadow birds in terms of senses and gradually attack Zato before he could react. Though what Hibiki didn't count on was that Zato was able to block and counter almost all of his attacks. Hibiki quickly realized that his diversion tactics and stealth was no longer an option.

A brief second has passed and all of the shadow birds started to return to a shadow that Hibiki has blended in. The second all of the shadow birds went towards that one spot, Hibiki launched himself from the shadow with a good deal of force and speed. The moment he did this, the audience cheered in excitement at the display of power. But before Hibiki could hit Zato, something unexpected happened.

"Eddy." Zato muttered

The moment Zato said the word, a dark figure emerged from the ground and momentarily clashed with Hibiki. The force of the clash was strong enough to create a shockwave and knock back Hibiki. Unfortunately for Hibiki, the dark figure didn't give him the chance to do anything further. Because it started its pursuit towards the younger student and once it got close. It started its fast and furious attack assault with a high speed rapid punch attack.

"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!" Eddy yelled out instinctively while furiously punching Hibki at a rapid speed.

When the attack assault from the shadowy figure finished. Hibiki was launched into the air while sustaining a great deal of injuries. Once he landed, Hibiki was able to get up but he didn't get the chance to counterattack. Because Zato proceeded to attack Hibiki with a series of punches and kicks. Hibki did the best he could to block and counter the attacks. But he was greatly weakened from the punch assault by the shadowy figure from earlier and couldn't do much. After a few more seconds, Hibiki was knocked out.

"Hibiki Kohaku is eliminated, even though he was able to put up a valiant fight. Zato's relentless power managed to overwhelm him." Professor Port announced to the audience

"Professor Port is right, that Zato guy is relentless." Jaune commented

"Yeah and what's with that freaky guy that came out of the shadow?" Makoto asked

"I think its safe to assume that its Zato's semblance. The abilities of a person's semblance come in many forms. So it wouldn't be too surprised if that really was the case." Tsubaki told her friends while watching the match

Both Kagura and Venom spent a few minutes fighting against each other. Venom initially thought that the fight would have ended much sooner when Kagura decided to fight him without his sword. However, Venom quickly realized that he himself made the mistake that most amateurs and first year students make. The mistake is that he underestimated Kagura and as a result, the fight is lasting longer than expected.

Kagura's hand to hand combat skills proved to be more capable than Venom initially expected. Whenever Venom tried to overwhelm Kagura with his pool stick, Kagura would be able to block the stick attacks and try to counterattack. Since Kagura has greater attack speed since he doesn't have to wield that large sword. Once a few seconds have passed, Venom quickly thought of a plan as he was blocking Kagura's various punches and kicks.

After blocking a few more attacks from Kagura. Venom decided to throw a pool ball at the ground. When he did so, he created a large gust of wind and used the sand part of the terrain to create a small sandstorm. It wasn't enough for Kagura to be overwhelmed, but it was dense enough for him to briefly lose sight of Venom. After Kagura lost sight of Venom, he was on guard for any kind of attack that could happen. Before Kagura noticed, Venom leap into the air above him and proceeded to hit several pool balls at Kagura using his pool stick. Kagura was able to initially dodge a good number of them, but his reflexes weren't enough and ended up getting hit by a good number of them. After enduring the attack barrage by Venom's pool balls. Kagura decided to make use of the sandstorm and hide just as Venom did.

Venom suspected that Kagura could be up to something and decided to throw some pool balls into the air. After he did so, Venom used his semblance to freeze the pool balls that's filled with wind dust in the air and made them collide with each other. After he did so, the explosion caused the sand to dissipate. But Kagura was nowhere to be seen, which caused Venom to be very cautious. After a few seconds spent being on guard, Venom was able to quickly notice a large sword being thrown at him. Reacting quickly, Venom was able to dodge it and out of the corner of his eye he recognized it as Kagura's sword. Venom also noticed that the sword is still drenched in the oil from earlier.

The moment Venom noticed the oil, Kagura was able to run towards him and delivered a jump kick. Venom was able to block the kick and push Kagura back a good distance. Though after Kagura was pushed back, Venom noticed that Kagura was about to throw several objects. When Venom took a closer look, he noticed that Kagura was holding the pool balls from earlier.

"Damn, so that was his plan. He allowed himself to get hit with all those pool balls earlier. So that he'll be able to use my own tactic against me." Venom thought before he ran away from Kagura's sword. Though before Venom went too far, Kagura threw one of the fire dust pool balls past Venom. Before Venom could react, the pool ball exploded and created a trail of fire. Venom quickly ran away from the fire trail. But stopped when he realized that he was near Kagura's large sword that's still drenched in oil. Venom tried to get away, but he wasn't fast enough and Kagura was able to hit the sword with the fire dust pool ball. Once the ball hit the sword, a large explosion immediately followed and Venom was caught in it. Once the explosion dissipated, Venom staggered while walking but he immediately fell over.

With an intriguing combination of skill, power, and cunning. Venom has been eliminated, which makes this a one on one fight." Dr. Oolbeck announced to the audience

"Kagura remembered the oil trail from earlier and used his environment and Venom's own weapons against him. I have to admit, that's pretty clever." Weiss said in an impressed tone

"But now he has to fight against Zato, since the odds are fair it could go either way." Blake said while watching the fight

When Kagura looked at Zato, he figured out that Hibiki was eliminated. Though Kagura didn't know what Zato's semblance is. Kagura already had a plan in mind for being able to fight Zato. Kagura jumped back further to make space between the two. After space was made between the two, Kagura used his semblance to throw several razor winds at Zato. As the razor winds were thrown, Zato remained calm and composed.

"Useless." Zato muttered before he summoned Eddy

"MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!" Eddy yelled as he was destroying the razor winds.

After the razor winds were destroyed, Kagura took this chance to get closer to Zato by running towards him. Eddie tried to attack Kagura, but the Atlus student used his large sword to launch himself over Eddie and get closer to Zato. Before Zato could react, Kagura was able to hit him with his large sword. As a result, Zato was pushed back a moderate distance but was able to regain his footing and stay in the arena. When Kagura attempted a follow-up attack. Eddie suddenly appeared in front of Kagura and was able to block his sword attack. While Eddy blocked the sword, Zato quickly rushed to Kagura and hit him with a series of quick punches. Fortunately for Kagura, he was able to block Zato's attacks with his on close quarters skills. Though the downside is that Kagura was away from his sword.

He's not as strong as he was when the match started. Could it be that having that thing out weakens his strength and aura?" Kagura thought to himself before he managed to kick Zato

After Zato was kicked back, Kagura made a move to follow up on the attack. Unfortunately, Eddy quickly appeared and delivered an uppercut to Kagura and knocked him back. After getting knocked back, Kagura was able to regain himself and noticed that he was closer to his sword and managed to grab it. Unfortunately, before Kagura could do anything, Eddy quickly appeared before him again and attacked him with a barrage of punches. Once a few seconds have passed, Kagura was knocked down and his aura was depleted.

"With aura depletion, Kagura is eliminated. Making the winner of this match Zato-1 and Venom." Professor Port announced to a cheering audience (Despite the disappointed cries from the females)

"Kagura and Hibiki did the best they could. But I guess Zato and Venom are on a whole different level." Jaune said after the match ended

"I think it came down to two things in the match, skill and experience. Kagura knew what to expect with Venom. But Zato was something completely different." Pyrrha told Jaune voicing her thoughts

"Not to mention that freaky shadow thing that was near Zato. I get that it's his semblance, but can anyone explain that?" Nora asked everyone nearby

"It looks like that shadow thing comes from his own shadow Nora. So when Hibiki brought him to the forest. He unintentionally played into his hands." Ren answered Nora

"Since Hibiki needs to be in a dark area for him to use his full strength. It would be a big problem if someone turned Hibiki's greatest strength against him. I guess that's what happened when he fought Zato." Mai said voicing her thoughts on the fight

"You know, it might be me, but I think that Kagura did a lot better when he was fighting Zato head on. Than Hibiki did when it was just the two of them. I know Kagura was weakened but he was able to hold his own." Jaune said while watching the fight

"Now that you mention it, your right Jaune. I think the best way to deal with Zato is to fight him head on. While being on guard for that shadow figure." Pyrrha said voicing her thoughts.

It didn't take too long for everyone to leave the arena. After Kagura left the arena he was able to catch up to Hibiki easily. As the both of them were leaving, they came across both Venom. Both Kagura and Hibiki didn't have any hard feelings for the defeat. Instead, they decided to take it as a chance to improve and get better.

"The both of you have fought well. Your own individual skills were able to make up for your lack of experience compared to me and Zato. I am not the kind of person to brag, but besting me in a fight isn't easy. Its even more impressive that you two were able to hold your own against Zato." Venom told both Kagura and Hibiki

"Thanks for the words of praise. You know, you look like a cool guy, so how about we should hang out and pick up some ladies once the tournament is over?" Kagura told Venom

"Kagura, I'm glad that your exhibiting good sportsmanship and being graceful in the face of defeat. But must you drag other people into your careless antics. Its bad enough your being a bad influence to Jaune. But you made it worse when you carelessly displayed your womanizing attitude to our opponents yesterday." Hibiki briefly lectured to Kagura while remembering their match

(A day prior)

"This current match, will be a clash of a team from the Academy of Atlus team KKMT. Going against the lovely ladies of from Shade Academy. Team NDGO" Professor Port announced to the audience as both teams entered the arena

When both teams were face to face on the arena. They gave each other a concentrated look and was mentally prepared for anything. Though when Kagura looked at them, he mentally scanned each of them and after doing so. He started to clutch his heart and make several gasps.

"Is your teammate OK?" Dew asked in a slightly concerned tone

"Oh, don't worry about me, I'm fine. It just hurts my heart to know that I'm fighting so many beautiful ladies at once." Kagura said in a suave tone to team NDGO (causing the rest of his team to facepalm)

"Oh great, he's one of those students. We already get enough of that back in Shade." Octavia said in a slightly frustrated tone

"One of those students, I'm hurt as I am confused ladies I really am. I mean, would you prefer it if I called any of you ugly. If I did, I would be lying and go against my vow. Which forbids me from calling any lovely lady ugly under any circumstances. Here I am trying to give you all a legitimate and genuine compliment and your all quick to think the worst of me." Kagura said to the all female team

"Wait, you mean your not trying to throw us off?" Gwen asked Kagura in a slightly confused tone

"Throw you off, ladies I would feel insulted and humiliated if any of you held back because of a few truthful words. Where I'm from, we respect our opponents no matter the gender. Is it truly a crime to give a genuine compliment to people of beauty? Why you can ask my lovely teammates if my words ae truthful." Kagura said causing Mai to get angry

"KAGURA, WE ARE GOING TO BE FIGHTING SOON AND YOU'RE HERE FLIRTING!" Mai yelled in frustration to Kagura

"Oh really, do I tell you and Tsubaki how lovely you two are?" Kagura asked

"Well you do but . . . ." Mai answered before Kagura spoke further

"Are my skills up to standards both as a teammate and a leader?" Kagura asked Mai

"Well they are, but that is still no excuse for you to act the way you do." Mai told Kagura

"Once again, I can't help but to tell the truth. All of you look wonderful and if I didn't tell the truth. Then I should be ashamed of myself. But don't think my words of praise and flattery will cause me to go easy on any of you lovely ladies. I expect you all to give it your all against me and my team as well. Because I respect everyone who goes down the path of a warrior." Kagura told team NDGO in a suave tone

"Well, then lets give it our all." Dew said while slightly blushing

"OH COME ON!" One of the guys from the audience yelled

"Kagura really has no sense of shame does he? I'm honestly surprised that he's as skilled as he is." Tsubaki told Hibiki

"Don't worry, after the tournament, I plan to give his food an extra spic that'll require him to be at the toilet for a few hours." Hibiki told Tsubaki

(Moments later)

"With a spectacular use of skill, teamwork, and amazing coordination, the winner of this match is team KKMT." Dr. Oobleck announced to the audience

"We gave it our all and we lost, their team is a lot more skilled than any of us thought." Dew said as she was getting up

"Yeah, we have a lot to improve on if we want to get better." Nebula said as she was reflecting on the match. As she was reflecting on the match, Kagura approached her and gave her a smile. Before Nebula did or say anything, Kagura reached out his hand and was able to help her up.

"Your pretty good with your crossbow sword, we should have a rematch and improve sometime in the future." Kagura told Nabula after he helped her up

"Tha . . . . thank you Kagura, you think we can keep in contact with each other?" Nebula asked Kagura

"A chance to know someone lovely outside of the intense battlefield. Of course I would love to exchange contact information." Kagura told Nabula. After a few minutes have passed, team NDGO left the arena as team KKMT was doing the same in the opposite direction

"You know, that Kagura is cool and handsome." Nebula said in a slightly blushing tone

"I know, I'm actually glad I got his scroll number and he also has mine." Nebula said to her team

(End of Flashback)

"Kagura's womanizing antics is a headache in many forms." Hibiki said after telling Venom the events of their four vs four match

"While I appreciate the warning, I can assure you that Kagura's womanizing ways won't rub off on me. For starters I'm not interested in women as much as your team leader. I play on the other team, if you understand my meaning." Venom said while both Kagura and Hibiki caught the implications

"So we can't pick up ladies, we can at least hang out as buds. Go out to the Kingdom, maybe even make some noise and have a good time. In fact if you want, I can call up some of my buds and we can . . . ." Kagura was saying before Hibiki quickly covered his mouth

"My apologies for taking up so much of your time Venom. But it appears that we must get going." Hibki told Venom while dragging Kagura away

(The Arena Audience Seats)

Jin spends his time watching the tournament fights while investigating Cinder every chance he got. Every time Jin looked into Cinder, all of his research and investigations turned up empty. Making things worse is that fact that neither Jin or his brother Ragna has any idea of what Cinder is planning. Watching the matches gives Jin a chance to not only see the capabilities of the other students. But it also gives him the chance to think of new ways he can improve his training. After watching the fight of Kagura and Hibiki vs Venom and Zato. Jin was impressed that Kagura was able to beat Venom who is the more experienced student. While also amazed that both Kagura and Hibiki held their own as well as they did against Zato. Who is the stronger and more experienced student. Though while watching the match. Jin was able to see a noticeable weakness in Zato's tactics. The weakness is that the best way to fight Zato is to fight him head on.

"Could Cinder's plans involve the tournament in any way. Aside from the Grimm breach a few weeks ago. There's been no significant criminal activity from anyone, not even the White Fang. I don't like it, with no criminal activity of any kind. It feels like the calm before the storm." Jin thought to himself while watching the matches

"With that exciting match coming to a close. It's time to select our next combatants." Dr. Oobleck announced as the randomizer started. When the randomizer ended it showed that it would be Yang and Weiss going up against two students from Atlus.

"It looks like the ladies from team RWBY will be going up against the members of team FNKI." Professor Port announced to the cheering audience

"I need to space to think." Jin muttered as he was leaving the arena. Before Jin went too far, he came across Sister Celica and Saya. When they all saw each other, Celica had a happy look on her face at the sight of her other son

"Jin, your just the person I was looking for." Celica said with a smile

"Is there anything you need from me Sister Celica?" Jin asked in a curious tone

"Yes there is, you see since me and Saya have been spending a lot of time watching the fights with Ragna. We never really took the time to enjoy the festival. So since its been too long since we've all been together as one family. I figured that this'll be a good chance for you to spend time with Saya and get some souvenirs from Vale. I'll even spare the money and reimburse you." Celica suggested to Jin

"With all due respect, I'm not the kind of person to go out and get some souvenirs. I won't even know where to start looking, Ragna is much better suited for a task like this. Where is that careless brother of mine anyways?" Jin asked Celica

"When the pair up was announced, Ragna wanted to support his friend Yang and watch the match. I originally wanted to go myself but Ragna practically begged me to stay close to him. Since he's afraid I'll get lost and end up at the edge of the Kingdom. So he suggested I ask you since he said you should be doing your long overdue brotherly duties. Besides, I think it'll give you two a chance to catch up." Celica explained to Jin

"I can't say that I blame his caution." Jin thought to himself before thinking further

"Still there's a good chance that Celica might be watched. But if I walk around Vale with Saya, one of the people working with Cinder might try to follow her. This'll be a good chance to my semblance and Aura Weapon to catch the person and it'll give us the proof we need." Jin thought further before he spoke to Celica

"I originally planned to go for a walk, but since you asked and that this won't really get in the way of anything. Then I supposed I can go and get the souvenirs. It'll be my treat, so you don't have to pay for a thing." Jin told Celica causing her to smile in delight

"That's wonderful, but I insist that I need to do something. Your already taking care of the bill for the hotel me and Saya are staying at. But we hardly stay there and I feel so terrible about it." Celica told Jin

"Then how about this, you stay out of trouble as much as possible and we'll call it even. Is there anything you want Sister Celica?" Jin asked

"Oh I'm already working on it. But for now, just get something for Saya. Once you two are done, just come back to the fairgrounds. I'll be with Ragna and we'll all meet up." Celica told Jin

"Are you sure that you'll be fine until you meet up with Ragna? My brother may be an idiot in a lot of ways. But the one thing that he's right about is your very poor sense of direction." Jin bluntly told Celica

"Don't worry Jin, I know that as long as I stay near the arena. Now go along you two, you shouldn't waste time talking with me." Celica told Jin as she was pushing them towards the entrance

(Vale Shopping District)

After being persuaded, Jin ended up taking Saya to the shopping district in Vale that wasn't effected too badly by the Grimm Breach. The reason is that most of the stalls on the fairgrounds are selling various foods. Since Celica asked Jin to get a souvenir, the shopping district should likely have something. The second reason is to see if someone would go as far as to follow them into Vale. Since the fairgrounds are near the forest, it would be hard to protect Saya and avoid casualties. Not to mention that if someone would be bold enough to try anything near the city. Jin wouldn't have to hold back as much and deal with the potential threat quickly. While also making it a lot easier to bring the person to the police. The main drawback is that he would have to be patient and wait for something to happen while doing some shopping for Saya and Celica.

What makes this more challenging is that it has been too long since he had any meaningful interactions with Saya. As much as he hates to admit, this is something that Ragna would be better suited for. But since he'll be near Celica, Jin has to be near Saya. Since a little pre-teen girl would be the more tempting target if someone decided to make a move. Though a lot of this is under the assumption that they will do something.

"How does it feel being a hero?" Saya asked Jin getting him out of his train of thought

"Why do you ask me that Saya?" Jin responded

"Because I keep hearing people call you a hero. I heard what you did a few weeks ago and I think its cool. But I keep hearing about heroes in stories, but I never knew one until now. So I'm a little curious about what its like to be a hero." Saya briefly explained to Jin

"I never put any thought into it Saya. Though if I had to think about it right now, I'd say that it's both an honor and a burden. Its an honor because I'm recognized for my capabilities. But it can be a burden because I know that there are many lives that are depending on me. I will not let my title be a burden, but I still need to think about that once I graduate." Jin answered Saya

"Then what about Ragna?" Saya asked Jin in a curious tone

"What do you mean Saya?" Jin asked

"Its just that its been a few years since you two have been together. I know that you two aren't on good terms. So I was wondering how it feels to not only go to the same school as him, but to also be on the same team as him?" Saya asked in a curious tone

"There's not much to tell, we always argue and disagree with each other. It also goes without saying that we always fight each other. Its very rare that we're on the same page and even then its not often. For the sake of the tournament we agreed to a truce, but there's a lot of bad blood between us. We have an idea on how to settle things, but I don't think it'll be enough." Jin explained to Saya while thinking on his time in Beacon and with Ragna

"Jin, do you think a day will come when you can come to the church with all of us?" Saya asked Jin

"Saya, what is it with you and all of these questions?" Jin asked his sister

"Its just that, a few months ago after you and Ragna came and left the Church. Sister Celica was very happy that she saw you two. She told me that she's always hopeful for the day that we can all be together as a family." Saya briefly explained to Jin answering his questions

"Then what do you want Saya?" Jin asked his little sister

"Honestly I want the same thing as Sister Celica. It's been too long since we were all together. We miss you Jin and we know that you two are busy. But I know how sad Sister Celica gets when we're not all together. But after she helped you, she said everyday that this is a good chance for us all to be together as a family. Despite the differences that you and Ragna has." Saya explained to Jin

"I forget how optimistic Sister Celica has always been. It's hopeful but at the same time concerning." Jin thought to himself before he decided to focus into shopping for a souvenir

"Jin, is that you!" Jaune yell causing Jin and Saya to turn and look at him. When the siblings looked at Jaune, they saw that he was holding a large bag

"I remember you, your name is Jaune right?" Saya said

"Yeah, I'm glad that you remember me Saya." Jaune responded in a happy tone

"What are you doing here in the shopping district?" Jin asked in a curious tone

"I decided to go out and get some souvenirs for my team and my girlfriend Noel. I was just finishing up when I saw you two." Jaune briefly explained to Jin

"We're doing the same thing, Sister Celica wants Jin to get me a souvenir." Saya told Jaune

"That's actually nice, the older brother should always be nice to their younger siblings." Jaune told Saya

"Do you have any siblings Jaune?" Saya asked in a curious tone

"I have seven older sisters and they are a bit . . . . tough. But my teammate Ren and your brother Jin are like brothers to me." Jaune told Saya

"Do you need to say it every chance you get Jaune?" Jin said in a slightly irritated tone

"But you didn't deny it and that is a victory." Jaune said in a proud tone

"So is me freezing you in place again. Would you like a reminder Jaune?" Jin said ready to summon his sword

"Uh . . . no need, I'll just watch myself. You know what, how about I take you to a place that has some great stuff Saya and Sister Celica might like. Besides, some of the Grimm made it to the Shopping District and destroyed some of the areas. Since I know which of the stores are still opened. I can easily take you to them." Jaune suggested to Jin

"Very well, it will save us some time since you know Vale better than I do." Jin said as Jaune lead them to a store

(The Vale Souvenir shop)

It didn't take too long for the group of three to make it to the store that Jaune decided. When they all arrived, it was nice to see that the majority of the area wasn't destroyed by the Grimm during the breach. So it was possible to get something that would be worth the time and money. Though while all of them were there, Jin looked around cautiously for anyone that could be following them. So far, Jin hasn't seen or noticed anyone and its making him slightly uneasy. Though it shows that Saya isn't in immediate danger, this does little to ease Jin's caution.

"I didn't notice anyone following us on our way here. Could it be that whatever their plan involves to tournament? If that's the case, then how will they pull it off. They can't do a break in, they need secrecy and discretion. So how will they get to the Maiden or better yet find her?" Jin thought to himself while they were in the souvenir shop

"Um Jin, we're here." Jaune said getting Jin's attention

"Oh, I suppose we are." Jin said quickly focusing on the trip and his surroundings

"They have so many nice things here Jin. I'm going to pick the best one." Saya said in an excited tone

"Just don't spend too much time making a choice Saya. Also even though I'm paying for it, don't get overzealous with what you see." Jin told Saya as she was going to pick the souvenir that she wants

"You know Jin, it's actually a nice change of pace to see an older brother care for there younger sister." Jaune commented to Jin

"Seeing as though that I don't see her or Sister Celica that often. Not to mention that Sister Celica asked me to get something for her. I figured that I should at the very least get them something." Jin briefly explained to Jaune

"Um Jin, are there ever times when you want to just spend time with Saya, Ragna, and Sister Celica? I mean I know that Sister Celica isn't exactly your blood mother. But she did take care of you and your other two siblings for years. So it would make a lot of sense for her to be considered your mother in a way." Jaune told Jin

"In several ways I do consider Sister Celica to be a mother to me. Therefore, I consider her to be family. But as for me wanting to spend time with them, I'm very reluctant to do so. The reason is very personal and complicated." Jin answered to Jaune

"I see, well that answers one of my questions at least." Jaune commented

"Do you have more questions?" Jin asked Jaune

"It's just that, ever since the Grimm Breach I've been meaning to ask you something. Do you think its somewhat possible for you to be related to Hakumen?" Jaune asked Jin while receiving a surprised look

"Your going to have to explain where this question came from." Jin told Jaune

"Well the reason is that a few months ago, when I was acting like a jerk to my friends. A few things have happened and Hakumen ended up saving me and Cardin. What I didn't tell anyone is what Hakumen said to both me and Cardin. Then later on that day, you said something to me the exact way Hakumen said it to both me and Cardin." Jaune explained to Jin while the ice swordsman listened

"That sounds like a coincidence that your putting too much thought into. If you think that I'm related to him because we happen to say something the same ways is ridiculous." Jin responded to Jaune

"I know and I did let that go because I thought it was a coincidence too. But I was there when you used that power that saved stopped the Grimm Breach. When I saw you use that power, it was like I was looking at Hakumen. So when I thought more about it, I figured that you two might be related." Jaune explained to Jin

"I don't think its possible that the both of us are related by blood. However, if there is some kind of connection between our powers. Then he might have some answers on how I can control it. Though I can't stress enough that its very much unlikely." Jin told Jaune

"Well if it turns out that you two are related, then I think it would be cool. Just think, you can brag to everyone that your related to one of the Six Heroes." Jaune said in an excited tone

"It would be quite interesting, the Hero of Vale being related to the White Void." A female voice said quickly getting Jin and Jaune's attention. When Jin looked at the source of the voice, it is someone that Jin did not want or expect to see. The source of the voice is Cinder. When Jin looked at her, he knew that he had to maintain his composure. Because if he attacks Cinder, she could retaliate against Saya and Celica. Also since he has no evidence or proof to Ragna's claims that she's up to something. Cinder would receive no punishment and it would be seen as assault.

"My apologies for eavesdropping, but I've always been interested in the Six Heroes. So when I hear a conversation involving them, I can't help but to be curious." Cinder told Jin and Jaune in a calm tone

"Oh your Cinder, I remember you from the tournament." Jaune told Cinder

"That's right, you were our opponents from the match we had. I hope there are no hard feelings for our team." Cinder told Jaune maintaining her calm attitude

"Oh, don't worry about it we're just glad that you gave it your all and took us seriously. If anything, it gave us a chance to learn from our mistakes and improve so we can do better next time." Jaune responded in a confident tone to Cinder before she turned to Jin

"What are you doing here Cinder? It's not often I see you away from Beacon, especially away from your teammates." Jin asked in a tone full of caution

"Since it's not often we come to Vale. My teammates asked me to get them something to help them remember our time here. Since we suspect that it will be a very long time before we come back here." Cinder responded to Jin before she spoke further

"I heard about your role in the Grimm Breach and you being granted the title as the hero of Vale. I wanted to say congratulations on being granted such a title of honor. Especially that power that you have." Cinder told Jin with a small hint of sarcasm

"I appreciate the words of Praise Cinder. But the title is a reminder that there will be many lives looking to me to protect them once I graduate and gain my Huntsman license." Jin responded to Cinder in a bold yet calm tone

"Then lets hope that you can live up to that responsibility." Cinder calmly responded with a hidden sarcasm

"Jin I've found what I wanted." Saya said as she was coming back holding the souvenir she wanted. When she made it to Jin, she noticed Cinder talking to Jin. It took only a second for Cinder to notice Saya and made a mental smirk.

"I normally see her with Ragna, yet from what I've heard you and him always fight and argue with each other. I hope you didn't kidnap her just to get back at Ragna for something." Cinder stated to Jin

"He was asked to take her out shopping. Besides, Jin would have no reason to kidnap his sister just to get back at Ragna. I mean, I know that they fight and argue, but I don't think Jin will do anything like that just to get make his brother mad." Jaune quickly commented causing Jin to give him a quick death glare

"Both Ragna and Jin are brothers, and she's their sister. I must admit, that's a bit interesting to learn about." Cinder commented causing Jin to quickly speak up

"Us being related to each other isn't illegal and neither is keeping it a secret. The reason we're not really shouting that fact from the rooftops is because of something that happened between us. So revealing something like that isn't going to do any harm to either of us. Besides, we begrudgingly agreed to a truce during the Vytal Festival." Jin explained to Cinder

"Oh don't worry about that Jin, I was merely surprised about it that's all. I mean, we all have our own secrets. Good luck to your team in the tournament." Cinder said before she walked out of the store. Before she went too far she turned around slightly and faced Jin

"Oh and congratulations on your title once again, Hero of Vale." Cinder slyly said before she left the store

"Jin, is everything alright?" Saya asked in a concerned tone

"Everything is fine Saya, let's just get the souvenir and go." Jin said in a tone full of caution

(The Festival Grounds)

It took Jin, Saya, and Jaune almost an hour to get back to the Festival Grounds. When they did, they were able to find Celica and she was with Ragna, Yang and Ruby. From what the three of them are overhearing it sounds like their talking passionately about something. Likely the match from earlier before Jin left with Saya.

"I know that she can be a bit annoying, but her skates and nunchuks are so cool." Ruby said in an excited tone

"Yeah, despite the fact that she had you beat in terms of speed. You actually held your own pretty well Yang." Ragna said in a slightly teasing tone

"Shut it you two, try getting hit like that by her and see how long either of you last." Yang boldly responded

"No problem sis, with my semblance I would be able to catch up to her and beat her easily." Ruby said in a confident tone

"I've also dealt with faster people during my training. So she would be no problem for me." Ragna said in an equally confident tone

"Not to mention Ragna could copy her semblance and he would be just as fast if not faster." Ruby said

"Which reminds me, when did you learn how to copy other people's semblance?" Yang asked in a curious tone

"I think it's a recent ability, to be honest I don't even know how to fully use it. I know I'll get the hang of it in time. But for now I need to focus on the tournament." Ragna responded to Yang

"Copying someone's semblance is different from copying skills Ragna. If anything, it could hold you back." Jin quickly said getting everyone's attention

"I don't need to copy your semblance to beat you Jin." Ragna said in a bold tone as he was stepping to Jin

"Are you really certain of that brother, I know false bravado when I see it." Jin said as he was stepping towards Ragna as well

"How about we get a head start on our little spar?" Ragna said while face to face to Jin

"Ragna, don't forget that you two have a truce and your match could be announced at any time." Yang told Ragna

"Alright I remember, just wanted to see if the Hero of Vale could get psyched out easily. Looks like he can't, so that'll make our yearly spar interesting.' Ragna said in a confident ton before he walked away and returned to Celica

"Take that aggression into your matches and your chances of winning will actually be significant." Jin said in a confident tone of his own

"What did you end up getting Saya?" Celica asked Saya

"I've gotten a glass model of Vale and a painting of the four Kingdoms." Saya said as she gladly showed the stuff to Celica

"All of that looks so nice Saya. Thank you Jin, I'm glad that you two spent some time together. It's also nice to see you again Jaune." Celica said in a happy tone

"It was no problem, but I couldn't find anything that you would want Sister Celica." Jin told Celica causing her to smile

"Oh, I've already gotten something in mind since all of you are here." Celica said before she whispered something in Yang's ear

"Are you sure?" Yang asked

"I'm positive, so get your scroll ready." Celica said in a happy yet mischievous tone

"What are you planning Sister Celica?" Ruby asked in a curious tone

"I asked Yang to take a picture of me and my children. Ragna, Jin, and Saya since its been too long since all three of us has been together." Celica said causing the brothers to share a shocked look on their faces

"NO!" Both Ragna and Jin said in perfect unison

"Why?" Celica asked calmly

"We don't do pictures, stop copying me!" Ragna said in perfect unison once again

"You know, when you take out the big differences, Ragna and Jin are kinda similar." Ruby said in an observant tone to Jaune

"Now that you mention it, I kinda see it." Jaune told Ruby in a low tone

"Please you two, if you do this for me. I won't scold either of you for a year. I will also not threaten to reveal your fears for six months." Celica proposed to the brothers

"There's really no harm in it Ragna, besides if you don't do it. I will pester you about it everyday until you agree to it." Yang told Ragna

"OK fine, I'll take the picture. But only because I don't want to be bugged about it everyday because of it." Ragna said in a slightly reluctant tone as he was standing on Celica's right side for the picture

"Since Ragna is agreeing to it, then its only fair that I do so as well." Jin said in a reluctant tone as well as he was on Celica's left side while Saya was in the middle of the group and in front of Celica.

"You do know we're doing this for Celica and Saya right?" Ragna told Jin

I'm fully aware brother." Jin responded

"Say Remnant." Yang told the group

"Remnant!" Ragna, Jin, Celica, and Saya said before the picture was taking. When everyone looked at the picture, Ragna and Jin stood beside Celica. While both Celica and Saya smiled happily, while Celica was hugging both Ragna and Jin.

(The Amity Arena)

"With that amazing and exhilarating match coming to a close. It is time to announce the combatants for the next match." Professor Port announced excitedly to the audience

"That's right, now who shall be the ones to test their skills against each other." Dr. Oobleck announced when the randomizer appeared.

"You fought splendidly in your match Weiss. How are you feeling, your aura should have recovered by now?" Tsubaki asked in a concerned tone

"I feel fine Tsubaki, I'm just glad Yang will be the one to go to the singles round." Weiss responded. After Weiss responded to the question, the randomizer stopped for a pair.

"The first students that's been chosen are Bang Shishigami and Amane Nishiki." Dr. Oobleck announced

"Alright! Bang and Amane's been selected for this." Nora said in an excited tone

"I'm surprised that your not going ahead Bullet." Weiss commented to Bullet

"We talked about it and we agreed that skill would be an important factor in this tournament. Besides Bang's been getting better with his training from Baiken and Amane has always been the strongest out of all of us. So as long as they work together, they should be able to handle anything." Bullet said before the randomizer stopped. Once it stopped, both Weiss and Bullet shared in a surprised and infuriated look at who both Bang and Amane will be going against.

"HER!" both Weiss and Bullet yelled when they looked at the opposing team

"With the selection made, Bang and Amane will be going up against I-No and Axl Low." Professor Port announced to a cheering audience

"Do you two know her?" Tsubaki asked in a curious tone

"Unfortunately?" Weiss responded

"Weiss, tell your teammates to meet up with us. Because we need to have a little talk with my teammates." Bullet told Weiss in a demanding tone

"Let me guess, we need to motivate Bang and Amane not to lose to that woman of all people?" Weiss guessed

"You know it Weiss." Bullet responded with both her and Weiss agreeing with each other

(A/N)

The next chapter will have two fights from the doubles round and the first one will be Bang and Amane vs I-No and Axl.

For the doubles fight in this chapter. Despite Kagura's flirtatious and sometimes shameless attitude. It's been confirmed in this story and in the games that he is a lot stronger than he looks. Kagura remembered what Venom was capable of and has a general idea of what to expect. Even though Venom has more experience, Kagura's skills allowed him to use Venom's own tactics against him and was able to beat him.

The fight between Zato and Hibki was unfortunately more one sided in Zato's favor. Hibiki's semblance allowed him blend into the shadows and do some for of summoning. Against most people Hibiki would be able to beat them easily in a heavily shaded area like the forest part of the arena. Unfortunately, Zato is the master of the darkness and the shadows and he was able to predict and counter anything that Hibiki can do. Making things worse is that stealth is the WORST way to fight Zato. But since it's what Hibiki heavily relies on with his skills and abilities. He unintentionally played right into Zato's hands. With Zato's superior skill and ability Hibki didn't stand much of a chance.

When it came down to Zato fighting Kagura. Both of the fighters are actually on par in terms skill. But due to fighting Venom and being significantly weakened. Kagura wasn't at his full strength and Zato had a major advantage since Hibki couldn't do much to Zato. Compared to Venom being able to weaken Kagura.

In this story, Zato's semblance is called Eddy and it functions like it does in the Guilty Gear Games. Though in this story, I've added some elements from the Guilty Gear Games, Fumikage Tokoyami quirk Dark Shadow from My Hero Academia, and some STAND elements from the JOJO series.

Also, with Eddy's ebilities from the main Guilty Gear games. There was no way I was going to leave out ORA ORA and MUDA MUDA. I couldn't resist putting them in. Depending on the responses I might put them in again, but for now I won't.

I also read somewhere that it was confirmed in the drama CD that Venom is gay. So I decided to keep that in this story. Just like with Makoto, I will still treat him with respect and dignity.

Two quick announcements, the first announcement is that the fanservice chapter will be its own separate chapter. After going through the draft numerous times, I figured that having it as its own separate chapter will prevent the flow of the story from being interrupted. I'm not certain on when the chapter will be released. But I know for certain that it will be before I start on the volume 4 portion of the story, or worst case when I'm early into volume 4.

As for the second announcement, I've started a new poll about me redesigning the Blazblue characters appearance. In volume 4 of RWBY, most of the characters have had an appearance change. This time in volume 7, they did it again and the redesigns are great.

With Blazblue I consider it a big missed opportunity for Noel to be the only character to have gone through a redesign while leaving the other characters alone. I have some ideas and I will implement the redesign when I get to the Volume 4 portion of the story. The problem is that if I have to be as consistent with the redesign like in the canon, then for Volume 4 the best I can do is changing their clothes. While also saving the major redesigns for when I get to the Volume 7 portion of the story. But the problem is that I won't be able to get to volume 7 for a LONG WHILE. Unless I cut corners with the story but that is something I refuse to do.

So the poll will be about whether or not I should go with the full redesign for some of the Blazblue characters in volume 4 once and stick with it. Or should I follow what RWBY does and have it done at two separate volumes.

So read and review

Thank you
