Chapter 50 The clash and the roar
(Amity Arena)
After it was announced that the fight can begin. Both Sol and Ragna wasted no time in trying to attack each other, which is evident from the blades clashing. After their swords have clashed against each other, the both of them were able to hold their ground against each other. To the audience, it was made abundantly clear that the match is going to be an intense one.
"Before this is over, you'll see my full strength, Ragna the Bloodedge!" Sol told Ragna in an excited tone
"Alright Sol, it's time we settled our match." Ragna told So before the both of them jumped back and charged towards each other
After the two got close to each other, the both of them fought against each other at a furious speed. Every swing that either of them made, has a great deal of power and speed behind it. After a few seconds, Ragna found himself being knocked back while blocking another one of Sol's sword swings. As Ragna was being sent back, he quickly transformed his sword into its scythe form and threw it at Sol. Knowing what Ragna was planning, Sol quickly knocked the weapon away and sent it back to Ragna. Fortunately, Ragna was able to quickly catch the scythe and regained his footing.
Unfortunately for him, Sol didn't give him the chance to think of a plan. Because Sol used his semblance to create an explosive trail that was heading towards Ragna. quickly, Ragna was able to move to the side and avoid the explosive trail. After voiding the attack, Ragna decided to pursue Sol to close the distance between the two of them. Before Ragna got too close, Sol made a smirk before he released a powerful short-ranged blast in Ragna's direction.
The blast was strong enough to knock back Ragna and to further add to the problem, he lost his grip on his scythe. Seeing this as a good chance for a counterattack, Sol made an attempt to follow-up with another explosive blast. Before the blast could be made, Sol did a backflip to avoid the returning scythe. Once the scythe returned to Ragna, he used the momentum of the returning scythe to do a spin of his own. While Ragna did his spin, he transformed the scythe to its sword form and started to generate energy.
"RESTRICTION RELEASE!" Ragna yelled releasing his seal and creating a a powerful stream of dark energy to Sol
The attack came faster than Sol was prepared for and was attacked directly by the energy stream. After Sol was hit, he was knocked back as well but was able to recover. Before Sol could retaliate, he quickly saw Ragna running towards him. Once Ragna got close, Sol made a move to block whatever attack Ragna would make. What happened next surprised Sol, because Ragna's attack was stronger than Sol anticipated and was slightly pushed back. Ragna noticed this and proceeded to keep up with the assault and didn't give Sol the chance to counterattack. This kept up for a few more seconds until Sol's sword released an explosion that pushed Ragna back.
After Ragna was pushed back, Sol started to send several explosive blast streams at Ragna. Reacting quickly, Ragna was able to used his unrestrained strength to strike away the blast streams. With several swings of his sword, while not needing to move from his current location. Once Sol was finished with the blast stream barrage, he proceeded to dash forward to where Ragna is at. Fortunately, Ragna did the same thing and the both of them clashed against each other. Once the two clashed against each other, they held their ground, as their blades clashed.
"Nice to see you've gotten stronger. I knew this was worth the wait." Sol said to Ragna
"The feeling's mutual, but let's see if you can continue to keep this up." Ragna said before the two jumped back and fought against each other even further
(Beacon Courtyard)
For the past few minutes, Jin has been fighting on the defensive against Emerald, Mercury, and Cinder. The sudden appearance of most of team CMSN has indicated that Jin has been watched for a while. Though the swordsman is wondering about the location of Nu. He currently has more pressing matters to deal with.
As he was blocking Emerald's gunshots with his sheath, Jin tried to get away do he can get to the docks for the airship. Unfortunately for him, Mercury kept getting in front of him and tried to continuously attack him. Fortunately, Jin managed to cut the ground and using his semblance, he created an ice wall to keep Mercury away while he dealt with Emerald. After deflecting several more gunshots, Jin decided to run towards Emerald and planned to freeze her with his sword. Before Jin got too close though, Cinder fired a barrage of arrows at him. Jin was able to quickly deflect the arrows, but had to run to a different area when he realized that he was in range of Emerald's close ranged attacks. Before Jin could counterattack, the ice wall he put up had shattered. Due to Mercury destroying the ice wall himself.
"Enough noise has been made, so we should have gotten someone's attention by now." Jin thought to himself while blocking various attacks and taking quick glances of the area, which didn't go unnoticed by Cinder.
"Don't count on anyone coming to help you out Hero. My associates made sure that all eyes would be on the tournament. Especially on your brother, who I must say is holding his own remarkably well." Cinder told Jin in a confident tone before she proceeded to fire several arrows at him once again
Like before, Jin quickly deflected the arrows that were fired by Cinder. This time, the second after Jin deflected them, the arrows exploded and he was caught in itand it knocked him back. Fortunately, Jin wasn't too badly injured from the explosion. But time wasn't on his side and neither was his aura reserves. Jin's aura hasn't broken yet and he is a lot more skilled than a good number of students at Beacon. But up against three people who were able to take half the powers of a Maiden. He knows that he doesn't have the luxury to underestimate the current threat. Especially since they were likely able to control someone like Azrael.
After enduring the explosion caused by Cinder's arrows. Jin summoned several ice shards and launched them at the three assailants. Mercury was able to destroy the ice shards with various kicks. Cinder summoned her swords and destroyed the ice shards. Then Emerald destroyed the ice shards that were aimed at her with the sickle. A split second after Emerald was finished with destroying the ice shards. Jin was able to quickly run in front of her and deliver a cut to the side of her stomach. Emerald was able to maintain her aura, but the abilities of Yukianesa caused her to be frozen.
While Emerald is frozen, Jin decided to shift his focus on Mercury, since he figured that dealing with him will be easy. Since he already knows what to expect in terms of his skills and abilities. Once Jin spotted Mercury, he quickly ran towards him and tried to land several slashes against him. In response, Mercury proved to be much more agile than Jin expected and proceeded to quickly dodge Jin's sword attacks.
"I know how your sword works Hero. If you want to freeze me, you need to cut me and I'm not letting you do that." Mercury said before Jin proceeded to cut the ground and froze it
"Oh crap, I forgot that you were a quick thinker." Mercury commented before he tried to regain balance and quickly found himself dodging some of Jin's attacks before he was cut and frozen like Emerald. After Mercury was frozen, Jin turned to face Cinder
"Interesting, it appears that your much more skilled than I anticipated. Your reputation doesn't do you justice Jin Kisaragi, Hero of Vale. Though its incomplete, my trump card should be enough to give you the challenge you rightfully deserve." Cinder said before she generated a good deal of her energy and one of her eyes started to flash a red-orange energy. After a quick second, Cinder released a wave of energy and it was able to melt the ice that Emerald and Mercury was trapped in.
"It appears that she's going to be using her half of the Maiden power. I need to be prepared for anything." Jin thought to himself before his body was slightly enveloped in a white light. Which indicated the use of the power that was used to save Vale. The use of the Power of Order. When Emerald noticed that Jin was going to use his power, she tried to use her illusions on Jin. Though what caught Emerald by surprise, is that her semblance was reflected back at her and it was accompanied by a strong headache.
"Something's not right." Emerald said which both Mercury and Cinder heard
"What do you mean by that Emerald?" Mercury asked
"I tried to use my semblance on him when he used that power. But not only was he unaffected, but it was reflected back at me." Emerald said causing her two teammates to look at her in slight surprise
"It appears his special power gives him an immunity to certain semblance. You two stay back and only step in when the opportunity is clear." Cinder said before her and Jin charged at each other. With Cinder using her half of the Maiden power and Jin using a portion of the power of order.
(Amity Arena)
For the past few minutes, both Ragna and Sol have fought intensely against each other. Much to the delights of the roaring crowd and the commentators watching the fight against two. It was clear that both Ragna and Sol are fighting with everything they have and are not holding back. Though if one was to take a closer look at the two, it would be barely noticeable to see that both Sol and Ragna are enjoying their fight against each other.
After both of their blades clashed one more time. The two fighters were knocked back for a bit. Once the two were knocked back, the both of them sent various attack streams towards each other. Ragna would send his dark aura stream, while Sol would send his explosive attack trail. The two attacks clashed against each other and this kept up for a few seconds until two powerful attack streams clashed against each other and caused a large explosion.
Once the explosion dissipated, both Ragna and Sol fought furiously against each other. Swinging their swords at an impressive speed, both for the purposes of attacking and defending. After a brief second, Ragna made a downward slash to deliver a crushing attack against his opponent. Reacting quickly, Sol managed to sidestep and made a horizontal slash at Ragna. By the skin of his teeth, Ragna was able to block the attack with his sword but was knocked back as a result.
As Ragna was being knocked back, he proceeded to launch several black aura streams towards Sol. Before he dug his sword to the ground to stop himself from getting out of the arena. Not wanting to deal with the black aura stream, Sol waited for the attacks to get close. Before he made several explosions to destroy Ragna's attacks. After the attacks were destroyed, Sol launched a powerful explosive trail towards Ragna. Seeing the trail of explosions coming, Ragna took a deep breath and waited for the attack to get closer. Once it did, Ragna released a strong burst of energy to destroy the explosive trails with ease. After Sol's semblance attack was destroyed by Ragna, the audience cheered much more loudly.
"Hehehehe not bad, its not often I can fight people who can hold their own against me in a fight. Aside from my teammate Ky, its not often that people last too long fighting me. I get the feeling that it's the same with you Ragna?" Sol asked Ragna excitedly
"Yeah, I screw up a lot of my classes, but the combat class is where I usually excel at. The Hero of Vale is the only one who can hold a candle against me. But aside from him, I can beat almost anyone I fight." Ragna proudly responded
"In that case, you might be ready for things to get a bit more intense. You see I have another trick up my sleeves and I think your ready for it." Sol told Ragna
"Is that so?" Ragna said in a curious but excited tone
"It's very rarely that I use my trump card. Because there's practically nobody who's able to handle it. But not it looks like you can take it. I hope for your sake you have an ace up your sleeves, otherwise this'll be over real quick." Sol said before he took a deep breath and generated some energy. As Sol was getting ready, Ragna maintained both his stance and guard for whatever Sol was getting ready to do
"DRAGON INSTALL!" Sol yelled releasing a powerful burst of power that caught everyone by surprise
"So he's using it." Ky said which Jaune overheard because he was nearby with his team
"You know what that power is, what's he using?" Jaune asked in a curious tone
"Sol's semblance Blast Burn lets him make things explode in many ways that he can. But after years of training, he found a way to combine his aura and his semblance, with his body. A skill that he calls the Dragon Install, an admittedly impressive ability. The strength of his body and aura is increased ten folds and his semblance becomes much stronger. I've fought against him like this once and it wasn't an easy fight. The fact that he's using this against Ragna, shows that Sol acknowledges his strength and respects it." Ky explained to Jaune
After the explosive burst ended, Ragna and the rest of the audience was able to get a better look at Sol after he triggered the Dragon Install. Sol's body is enveloped in a bright crimson light that is emanating from his entire body. His sword also went through a change, Instead of its usual red and white color, it is now all black. Likely due to it being imbued with a large amount of Sol's aura over the years.
"You ready for what's next Ragna?" Sol said while using his Dragon Install form
"Heh, you have no idea." Ragna responded before he took up a stance as well and took a deep breath like Sol did
"BLOODEDGE!" Ragna yelled causing him to release a powerful burst of energy of his own. After the energy burst dissipated, Ragna's sword started to rapidly glow red and black. After the audience saw this, the excited cheers increased greatly, knowing that the next few moments were going to be incredible.
"Woah, he's using that power again." Sun said causing his teammate Scarlet to look at him in slight confusion
"You've seen it before Sun?" Scarlet asked
"Yeah, me and Neptune saw him when he used his power. I can't tell you everything, but let's just say that Ragna becomes a lot stronger when he's like this." Sun said while watching the match in excited
"It looks like that he's gotten a lot stronger with that power. I even felt it from here in the seats." Ruby said which Velvet overheard
"I felt it too, have you fought him when he's like this Ruby?" Velvet asked in a concerned tone
"Only for a little bit, but I can honestly say that he gets a lot stronger when he uses this power. But he still hasn't told any of us how he learned to do this." Ruby said as she was watching
After the two released their power, both of the empowered fighters dashed towards each other in a blinding speed and clashed their blades. Once their blades clashed, there was a powerful shockwave and the intensity was felt by the entire audience. The only thing that was able to withstand the shockwave of power is the barrier that was set up to protect the audience.
Once the shockwave ended, both Ragna and Sol fought each other much more intensely than before. Especially at a blinding speed that nobody in the audience is able to keep up with. The swords were moving just as quickly and even though the people in the audience are having a hard time keeping up with it. It's clear as day that the both of them are a lot stronger and is holding nothing back. After a brief second, Ragna was able to avoid a powerful energy burst. By quickly and instinctively jumping back away from Sol.
When space was made between the two. Sol proceeded to fire a powerful energy burst that was aimed at Ragna. When the powerful attack made it to Ragna, he used a good portion of his strength and smashed the energy blast away from him. After he smashed the energy blast away, Ragna swung his sword forward and released a trail of large dark energy spikes and they were heading towards Sol. Before the dark energy spikes made it to Sol, he swung his sword down and managed to release a strong explosion that was able to destroy the dark energy spikes.
After the explosion was made, Ragna was able to charge through the middle of it and was able to push Sol back while their swords clashed. After being pushed back for a bit, Sol regained his footing and was able to push Ragna into the air with a lot of his strength. After Ragna was launched into the air, Sol proceeded to send several blasts of energy at Ragna while he was midair. Reacting quickly, Ragna used a good deal of his strength to strike away the energy blasts with his sword. After the energy blasts was smashed away, Ragna proceeded to dive towards Sol with a focused look in his eyes.
"INFERNO DIVIDER!" Ragna yelled before he swung his sword downward before he reached Sol. Using the momentum to strengthen his attack
Once Ragna made his attack, a large dark explosion soon followed. But Sol was able to hold his ground and endured the attack while blocking with his sword. After the attack was blocked, both Ragna and Sol started to furiously fight against each other again with each sword attack being either blocked or parried. After a few more seconds, both Ragna and Sol held their ground against each other and wasn't going to budge.
After a quick moment has passed, both Ragna and Sol started to generate energy. A second later and an energy explosion has soon followed. The explosion was a mix of crimson, red and black in terms of color. Soon after, both Ragna and Sol were launched back a moderate distance. Though the both of them are still holding their respective swords and not willing to give up and is prepared to keep going. When the two looked each other, they both shared a look satisfied determination.
When the moment of their shared look of satisfaction and determination passes. The both of them focused on generating their energy. After they did so, both Ragna and Sol charged at each other with an incredible mix of power and speed. When their blades meet, a large explosive surge of energy occurred and the two fought each other within the explosion. Before anyone could process how strong the two are, the both of them were knocked back and were able to stay in the arena avoiding the edge my mere feet.
"GYAAAAAA!" Both Ragna and Sol yelled as they were charging at each other.
Once they got close, the both of them swung their sword and managed to land a powerful attack against each other. Once their attacks landed, the both of them were sent back and they ultimately returned to normal. Ragna's sword stopped glowing black and red, while Sol's Dragon Install form stopped. Despite being greatly injured, both Ragna and Sol managed to stand up and is fully prepared to keep going. When the both of them looked at the screen that depicted their aura. They both saw that Ragna's aura was barely above 20% and Sol's aura is close to 30% and both are fully determined to keep going.
"Such an incredible display of power and skill by our two combatants. Making this even more amazing is that the both of them are above the threshold in terms of their aura and can still keep fighting." Dr. Oobleck announced to the cheering audience
After a quick second has passed, Ragna and Sol charged to each other and their swords has clashed once again. This time, both Ragna and Sol held their ground and after a quick second, Sol was able to use a good deal of her strength to knock away Ragna's sword and disarm him. Once Ragna was disarmed, he jumped back and made space between the two and was able to bring back his sword. After Ragna has gotten his sword back, he tried to attack, but Sol was faster and managed to land another attack before Ragna was able to. The attack was strong enough to both knock back Ragna and break his aura.
"Not bad Sol." Ragna said after he realized that he lost
"The winner of this match is Sol Badguy." Professor Port announced to a cheering audience
"Ragna did pretty good in this match." Sister Celica said to Saya
"It sucks that he lost, but its not that bad. To be honest, I don't think I'd do very well against Sol if I was fighting him." Makoto said to her nearby friends. Once the winner of the match was declared, Sol started to approach Ragna.
"You did pretty good Ragna, there's not a lot of people can hold their own against me. Especially when I use my Dragon Install in the fight." Sol said as he was helping up Ragna
"Thanks, it sucks that I lost. But its nice to know that there are people out there who can handle themselves when I stop holding back." Ragna told Sol in an impressed tone
"I can't fight in the tournament next year since I'm in my last year at Shade Academy. But I will tell you this, next time we meet up, we should have a rematch and see if we can top ourselves." Sol said to Ragna with a good deal of respect
"Looking forward to it." Ragna said excitedly as he was shaking his hand. After Ragna let go of Sol's hand, he noticed something near the base of the arena. When he focused his gaze, he noticed two people. One of them is an individual he recognizes as Nu. But she is accompanied by a slender figure wearing a yellow coat. Noticing this, Ragna decided to walk further to the edge so he can get to the both of them.
"That was such an amazing fight. Now let's begin the main event." Terumi said before hcre touched Nu's shoulder and the both of the started to be enveloped in a shared energy.
When Ragna noticed the energy, his body started to feel strange and also to ache. He struggled to endure the pain but after a few seconds, he started to be in immense pain and struggled to keep it together. So noticed this and tried to approach him. But the hand motion from Ragna made it too clear that it was very much ill-advised.
"Something's wrong, I don't know but . . . . . I don't . . . . feel right." Ragna said as he was struggling to keep it together
"Something's wrong with Ragna, get the medics there." Professor Port announced
"Come on Ragna, you just need to . . ." Sol said before Ragna cut him off
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Ragna yelled before he swung his arm and unintentionally released a wave of energy and pushed Sol away. After few moments several robots came to the arena
"Ragna, please calm yourself and come with us peacefully. We're fully prepared to give you proper medical . . . ." One of the robotic soldiers said before Ragna started to radiate more energy
"I can't . . . keep it . . . . together." Ragna barely managed to say before his body was covered in much more energy and he was struggling to even stand up
"Something's wrong with Ragna, this isn't like him." Ruby said in a worried tone while watching
"I know, I wish I knew what was going on." Makoto said before she turned to Noel and saw that her eyes changed colors
"Noel, your semblance activated on its own again." Makoto told Noel
"I know and I'm seeing something different with Ragna I can't explain it, but I'm seeing something take control of Ragna from the inside. It's like a monster or a beast is consuming him and he can't do anything about it. I haven't seen anything like this before with my semblance." Noel said in a worried tone
"I . . . . CAN'T . . . . . GYAAAAAAAAAAA!" Ragna yelled before he released a massive explosion of energy and he was enveloped in it. The explosive energy consumed Ragna for a few seconds and after it dissipated, Ragna looked different. When everyone looked at Ragna, his body was enveloped in black and red energy and he was standing. But not a usual stand, but a stance that was similar to that of a beast that has recently learned to stand on two legs. Adding to the ominous look, Ragna has glowing red eyes. That is able to look into an individual's soul.
"WWWWWWWRRRRRRAAAAAAAA!" The Beast-Ragna roared releasing a powerful surge of power. The pressure of power was felt by everyone in the arena and in the audience. Though aside from feeling the power that Ragna is now displaying, they are now feeling a strong sense of dread and fear.
(Branwen Tribe Camp)
Raven spent a good deal of time watching the tournament match and was impressed with what she's seeing. She knew that Ragna was already strong, but after seeing his match. She knew that she would have to do more to recruit him to the tribe. This time, Ragna has transformed into something else entirely. From all of Raven's experience, she knows that she is seeing an individual of great power. An individual who at initial glance could easily surpass the powers of the Maidens. An individual who will bring the Branwen tribe
"Well, this quite an interesting." Raven said while watching through her scroll with some level of intrigue at the situation.
(Professor Ozpin's Office)
"Jubei, is this the power of the Ragna's portion of the Grimm Aura." The Headmaster thought to himself while watching the events nervously
"What's going on with you Ragna? Have you been hiding this from us all this time?" Professor Goodwitch said to herself while watching the events
(The Amity Arena)
"Ragna, what are you?" General Ironwood asked after seeing Ragna transform
"Everyone, please calmly and quickly exit the arena!" Professor Port stated to the audience. After Ragna in his beast-like state roared, he leaped to the audience but was stopped by the barrier.
"The barrier will protect us, there's no way he can get through." One of the civilians said as Ragna was banging on the barrier.
Unfortunately, after a few seconds Beast-Ragna was able to break through the barrier and was landed near the audience seats. When the people sawBeast-Ragna break through the barrier, they started to panic and run but it was too late. Beast-Ragna proceeded to attack the people quickly and viciously. The people that were unfortunately caught in the pathway of Beast-Ragna, were seriously hurt and likely close to death. Since its not likely that they have any aura to protect them. Neither civilian or student were spared and many of them are greatly injured.
"We have to get away from that monster!" One of the civilians said
"Something's not right, nobody can get out of the Arena!" Another civilian said in a panicked tone
Despite the people trying to get away, Beast-Ragna continued to attack the people despite many of them trying to get away. The ones who were close but fortunate enough to not be in range of Beast-Ragna's attack. Held a look of fear in their eyes at what Ragna has become. The destructive power and vicious violence towards the people are making the survivors see Ragna with fear. Hoping that they aren't next in the vicious attacks. Before Beast-Ragna could hurt someone else, a silver metallic figure flew to the arena and managed to push Ragna away from the citizens and to the arena away from the audience. When the people saw who pushed Beast-Ragna away, some of the students recognized it as Minerva. The metallic figure who accompanied Celica.
"It can't be. . . . how could the beast take control of Ragna?" Sister Celica asked in a concerned tone while very much worried about Ragna. While still staying close to Saya. After Beast-Ragna was pushed to the arena, Dr. Oobleck and Professor Port walked to the arena and were armed with their weapons.
"We don't know what's going on with you Ragna. But we're going to have to bring you in, We'll make sure that you'll get the medical help you need." Professor Port said while looking at Beast-Ragna. Before any of them could do anything, several weapon lockers landed around the arena and many students jumped down from the arena and have gotten their weapons from the lockers.
"Ruby, something is very much wrong with Ragna and this is very dangerous. Please stay back and let us handle this." Dr. Oobleck told Ruby
"Ragna is our friend too, and its clear that he's a lot stronger now. Your going to need ll of our help." Ruby told Dr. Oobleck
"Ruby is also my friend, and I will not let her go into any danger if I can help her. Because that is what friends do." Penny said as she brought out her swords
"Very well, if everyone is going to be fighting Ragna when he's like this. Then all of us re going to have to be properly coordinated. If we're going to have a chance to bring him down without killing him. He's a lot stronger when he's like this and truth be told, I don't know how we'll do this." Dr. Oobleck said to Ruby before Beast-Ragna roared
After Beast-Ragna roared, he proceeded to charged towards a couple of people. Nora and professor Port blasted Beast-Ragna and was able to give him a direct his from their explosive weapon blasts. Beast-Ragna was unaffected by the gun blasts and was able to finish his charge and made a slash attack. The ones that were nearby managed to avoid the attack but had to realize that they need a plan of attack.
Before Beast-Ragna could do a follow-up attack. Makoto, Bullet, and Yatsuhashi dashed to Beast-Ragna and made a move to attack him close up. With Minerva flying towards Beast-Ragna with the intent to push him back. Unfortunately, Beast-Ragna stood his ground and managed to push everyone away. After pushing every away, Beast-Ragna made a move to attack Makoto. Before he got too close, Yatsuhashi stood in front of Makoto and blocked the attack with his sword. Though Yatsuhashi managed to block the attack, he was knocked far to the side.
Sun quickly ran to Beast-Ragna and decided to attack him with his gun-chucks. The attacks didn't do anything and Beast-Ragna grabbed Sun by his neck and slammed him to the ground. After Sun was slammed to the ground, Beast-Ragna dragged Sun though the ground before he threw him to the side. After Sun was thrown, Neptune, Ruby, and Ren started to fire at Beast-Ragna. Unfortunately, each of the shots is doing nothing to Beast-Ragna and he ultimately leapt to the shooters and smashed them away.
Tao decided to use her semblance and attack Beast-Ragna. Before the clones got close to Beast-Ragna, he destroyed the clones and was able to smash Tao away from him. Coco used her minigun and fired at Beast-Ragna, but he endured to attack and managed to attack Coco. By attack her with his arm that greatly resembled a claw.
Noel transformed her Bolverk into a rocket launcher and fired a rocket at Beast-Ragna and was able to land a direct hit. When the rocket hit Beast-Ragna, Pyrrha knew that it would take more than that to beat Beast-Ragna and rushed to him along with Bang, Sol, and Ky.
Once all of them has gotten close, Beast-Ragna was able to knock away Bang. While both Sol and Pyrrha managed to attack him on both sides. Ky and Jaune went for the attack from the front and back respectively. Unfortunately, before their attacks could land, Beast-Ragna roared releasing a burst of energy and managed to push back the people that were close by.
"Sol, can you use your Dragon Install again?" Jaune asked Sol
"It takes a couple of hours for me to fully restore my aura and strength in order for me to use the Dragon Install. Especially after I had just used it." Sol answered Jaune, before the rest of them became prepared to fight Beast-Ragna further

Jin while using a portion of the Power of Order spent some time fighting against Cinder using her half of the Fall Maiden's power. Emerald and Mercury were limited in terms of helping Cinder. Because Jin's power has significantly increased he's much more of a threat than before. Making things more complicated, the three of them realized that Jin is immune to Emerald's illusions while he's using his power. For a good deal of time, the fight basically boiled down to Jin fighting against Cinder using their special powers.
Every time Cinder fired her empowered arrows. Jin would deflect the powerful arrows with his sword and sheath. A split second after the arrows explode, Jin would quickly move away from the arrows and get closer to Cinder. As Jin was getting closer to Cinder, both Emerald and Mercury proceeded to fire at Jin as he was making his pursuit. Fortunately, Jin was able to dodge all of Mercury's foot blast shots and deflected Emerald's gunshots. Once Jin got close, he fought against Cinder at an intense speed with his sword against Cinder and her weapons.
After a few seconds, the both of them clashed their blades against each other and released a shockwave. The force of the shockwave was strong enough to push the both of them back and distance was made between the two. Before the both of them could do anything further, Jin sensed a great deal of power. A force that he has never felt before and with that power came with a strong sense of dread. Along with this, Yukianesa started to glow as if to respond to the power that Jin is sensing. When Cinder noticed this, she made a smirk on her face that didn't go unnoticed by Jin.
"It looks like things are progressing wonderfully well in the arena. I wonder how the world will see Ragna if he survives this day." Cinder said in a mocking tone to Jin
"What did you do?" Jin asked in a demanding tone
"Let's just say that there's something hidden within Ragna and he's having what you would call a stress reliever. A very destructive stress reliever, I wonder how many people will be unfortunate enough to be caught in his path. No doubt that it'll be quite a significant number." Cinder told Jin before she proceeded to fire several fireballs at Jin.
Before Jin could get rid of the fireballs, a male figure had destroyed the fireballs with a single attack. When everyone looked to see who the figure was, they see an elderly man with a tan skin and is finely dressed. Though when they looked at him for much longer, they see that he's a lot stronger and much more experienced than most other people they came across. Though they don't know it at the moment, they are face to face with one of the Six Heroes, Valkenhayn.
"I don't know who this old man is, but it looks like we'll have to bury this geezer. Sorry, but you should have stayed out of it." Mercury said before he proceeded to kick several blasts at Valkenhayn. Before the blasts reached him, Valkenhayn quickly and easily kicked away the blasts and in a blinding speed. He rushed to Mercury and managed to rapidly kick him. After a few seconds, he kicked Mercury away from him and the others.
"I don't know what's more insulting, your disrespect towards your elders. Or your carelessness at underestimating me. It would take a hundred of you on my worst day. For you to even stand a fair chance against me." Valkenhayn said to Mercury in a scolding tone
"You don't look immune." Emerald said before she used her semblance on Valkenhayn
"Illusions are nothing more than a child's play against me." Valkenhayn said before he was able to find Emerald and delivered a strong kick against her. Now at the moment, he's facing Cinder while guarding Jin
"Are you here to save the Hero of Vale?" Cinder said in a calm tone
"As tempting as it is to put you in your place. I must follow Lady Rachel's wishes and tend to more pressing and urgent matters." Valkenhayn said to Cinder before he turned to faced Jin
"Jin, you don't know me Jin Kisaragi, but I know you. If you wish to stop what's going on with Ragna at the Arena. Then you must follow me, time is of the utmost essence." Valkenhayn said before he ran off
"We'll settle this another day." Jin said before he followed Valkenhayn
"Should we try to stop them Cinder?" Emerald asked after she recovered
"No need, while they try to stop Ragna. We'll just focus on finishing our part of the mission." Cinder told Emerald
"Who was that old man?" Mercury asked in a curious tone
"I don't know, but I assume Terumi ahs the answer. Since he did mention Rachel, someone Terumi is cautious about." Cinder said before her and the other two left

Many students have fought alongside Professor Port and Dr. Oobleck in trying to stop Beast-Ragna. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain due to the massive difference in power between Beast-Ragna and everyone else. A good number of the students were either laying down unconscious due to their aura being broken. Or is fighting against Beast-Ragna but their attacks are having no effect against him. Only a handful of them are left standing, but like before anything their doing is having no effect on him. To make things worse, nobody in the audience was able to leave and they had to watch to their horror. The chaotic and fierce power that Beast-Ragna is displaying as he beats down the numerous people that tried to stop him.
"We can't keep this up forever, there has to be a way we can bring him down." Sun said while barely able to stand
"This is getting ridiculous, he's not getting hurt by whatever we throw at him. If only we could hit him with something that's as strong he is." Nora said causing Ky to have an idea
"I saw you and your team fight in the tournament and I noticed that you were able to get stronger due to electricity. Is there a limit to how much you can take?" Ky asked Nora
"Not that I know of, do you have a plan?" Nora asked in a curious tone
"My semblance and my weapon can give you a large amount of electricity. With that boost in power, its bound to be able to do something to Ragna." Ky said causing Nora to smirk in excitement
"Got it, but we only have one shot at this." Nora said to Ky
"I'll keep Ragna back and give you guys time to do what you need to do." Yatsuhashi said to everyone
"Me and Makoto will help Yatsuhashi. With our combined strength, we should be able to add to the time." Bullet said before her, Makoto, and Yatsuhashi used their combined strength to hold down Beast-Ragna while Ky threw several needles at Nora.
After Ky threw a few shards at Nora, he started to generate a large amount of electricity with the use of his sword and semblance. After he did so, he was surrounded by so much power it was blinding to some. A second after generating the electricity, he sent every last bit of electricity to Nora and she embraced the power. Nora was able to hold her ground and absorb every speck of power that she could until Ky ran out of electricity.
Once Nora absorbed the electricity, Beast-Ragna used him immense strength to throw the three students that were rushing him to the side with ease. After he did so, the empowered Nora quickly rushed Beast-Ragna with her hammer and was able to land a powerful attack against him. The power behind Nora's attack was so strong, the people in the arena felt the shockwave of the attack and was confident that it was enough to bring Beast-Ragna down.
Unfortunately, Beast-Ragna did more than just survive the attack. He was able to catch Nora's hammer with his bare hands. Before Nora could do anything in response, Beast-Ragna released a powerful energy blast at Nora that she was unfortunately caught in.
"NORA!" the rest of team JNPR yelled in a panicked tone while struggling to move. Due to being greatly injured.
Once the blast dissipated, Nora was greatly injured. Using what was left of his strength, Ren rushed to Nora, despite the injuries that he's sustained from fighting Beast-Ragna. When he made it to Nora, he checked her pulse and rested his head on her chest. After he did so, he made a sigh of relief that she is still alive.
"Please don't be dead, please stay with me Nora." Ren said in a pleading tone with tears in his eyes
"Ren . . . . it'll take . . . more than that to . . . . . keep me down." Nora said weakly to Ren before she lost consciousness. When this happened, Ren rested his head on her chest again and was relieved to hear a heartbeat. Though her heart is still beating strongly, the injuries on her body is very mush extensive.
"She's alive, but unconscious, Nora's not gonna be able to fight for a while." Ran said to everyone
"I don't know how much we can keep going. At this rate, we'll be as good as dead." Coco said in a worried tone to everyone
"He's worse than Azrael." Sun commented while struggling to stand
Before Beast-Ragna went to fight further, a large and powerful green laser was blasted at him. When everyone looked to see what happened, they are all seeing Penny fire the laser at Ragna. With the hope to bring him down. It is clear that this is no easy feat for Penny, but they all respect the fact that she's giving it her all to stop the significant threat.
"I'm sorry to do this to you Ragna my friend. But I can't let you hurt anymore people than you've already have. If you don't survive this, I hope you can find it in your heart to understand and forgive me." Penny said as she was firing her massive laser at Beast-Ragna.
Though the moment of relief was short lived. As Beast-Ragna started to walk through the laser and endure the blast as if it was nothing. After a few more seconds, Beast-Ragna managed to get to Penny and knocked her down. After he did that, Beast-Ragna grabbed Penny by her neck and started to lift her up. Once he did, Beast-Ragna grabbed Penny's side with his other hand and violently ripped Penny in half. Shocking everyone in the arena and in the audience. Who all watched in horror as Beast-Ragna killed another person
"P . . . Penny." Ruby said tearfully as she started to look around at the destruction that was caused. When she looked at the audience stands, she saw a lot of people with a noticeable look of fear in their eyes. When she looked further she saw various people greatly injured and some bodies not moving. For the ones in the arena, she is seeing a lot of her friends and fellow students either unconscious, too injured to keep going. Or barely able to stand and keep fighting, knowing full well how hopeless it is. When she focused her sights on Beast-Ragna, she suspects that Ragna is not in full control of his actions. But it didn't matter, because what she's seeing is a beast that has brought despair to a lot of people. Looking at Beast-Ragna further, Ruby felt some fickles of energy and her eyes flashed for a brief second. Because she herself isn't filled with despair, she is filled with a resolve to protect.
"How . . . . could . . . . you, HOW COULD YOU!" Ruby yelled before her silver eyes released a strong burst of light that covered the arena.
The light surprised many people in both the audience and the arena. Unfortunately, before anyone could entertain the thought that the light was able to stop Beast-Ragna. Ruby was knocked to the ground by Beast-Ragna. When they all looked to see, they see clear as day that the light did nothing to Beast-Ragna and he looks no worse for wear. Before Beast-Ragna could land a critical attack on Ruby. A large ice wall appeared between Beast-Ragna and Ruby. When everyone looked to see who it was. They saw Jin enveloped in the light he used to save Vale from the breach. He was also accompanied by a significantly older man who was elegantly dressed.
"Since its clear that your fast, get everyone you can out of the arena. I get the feeling that the arena isn't going to be very safe." Jin said while giving Beast-Ragna a focused look
"Very well, but remember that time is a luxury you do not have. Due in large part to the significant increase in Grimm activity." Valkenhayn said before he transformed into a wolf and proceeded to get everyone out of the arena as quickly as possible. While taking care not to make their injuries worse than it already is.
When Beast-Ragna looked at Jin, he gave the Hero of Vale a vicious and intense glare. Beast-Ragna roared and started to slowly walk towards Jin while generating more energy. As Beast-Ragna was walking and generating energy, he gave off a much more vicious sense of dread that was felt by everyone. Even the ones who are in the audience seats. Once Beast-Ragna started to get closer, many people started to have a much more sense of fear and dread.
"I don't know what's going on with you. But I know full well that you need to stop." Jin said before he started to give off a strong burst of light that enveloped the arena. Instead of there being no reaction like last time. Beast-Ragna was not injured by the light but was instead enraged by it. When Beast-Ragna looked at the empowered Jin further, the energy he was radiating has gotten much stronger. To the ones that is seeing this, its clear that Beast-Ragna stopped holding back.
When General Ironwood saw Jin enveloped in the light. Prepared to fight against Beast-Ragna, who is using a power that has never been seen before. Though the General has a lot of questions regarding the power of both Jin and Ragna. One thing is clear as day to the General. After all of this, everything will be different.

For Ragna vs Sol
At this point in the story, Ragna and Sol are basically evenly matched at fist glance. But as the fight goes on, it will be made clear that Sol is much stronger. The reason is because Sol has had much more time to train and get stronger. Especially when their powered-up forms are taken into account.
Sol has spent years getting stronger and has managed to utilize Dragon Install for several years. Compared to Ragna using the function of his sword which brings out more of his power. Who has learned about his sword's function and learned to use it for less than a year. Similar to Bang's match, if Ragna has spent a few more years getting stronger and developing his skills further. Along with being able to gain a better mastery over his sword's function that allowed him to get stronger. Then the fight would have been much more drawn out.
But as things stands at this point in the story. Sol is stronger than Ragna but it was a close fight.
When Jin uses the Power of Order, he does get significantly stronger. He also gets a few other power benefits as well. One of the benefits is that when Jin uses the Power of Order, he's immune to certain semblances. A few examples I can give is that when he uses the Power of Order. He is immune to the semblance of Qrow, Emerald, and Neo. As an extra, when they do use their semblance against him, depending on the ability. It will rebound against the user.
Qrow's semblance is bad luck, but if he fights against Jin when he uses the power. Jin will be immune to it and the bad luck semblance will be used against Qrow.
Like in this chapter, when Jin uses the power. When Emerald uses her semblance against him. The immunity remains and Emerald will be affected instead.
For Neo, if Jin uses his power while fighting her. He'll be able to see through her semblance.
It doesn't mean that Jin is immune to all Semblances. The only abilities that he will be immune to. Are semblances that can affect his mind, his free will, or reality. But the immunity will go into effect when he uses the Power of Order. But he has no control over the use of the power and it will only activate in the presence of certain powers or threats. Like for example the Maiden or the power that Beast-Ragna is using.
This chapter also does confirm that the power of the silver eyes does not affect either Ragna or Nu.
I'm not going to mince words, when Beast-Ragna started to attack the audience. A lot of people got hurt and some even killed. There will be major repercussions for everything that happened. Even though Ragna had no control over his actions when he was consumed. Nobody knows the full story, especially the fact that Terumi and Nu were the ones that triggered everything. So for that, there are going to be some major consequences.
As for the ones that were fighting, Nora is still alive. But she is severely injured and will be out of action for a while. Penny as of now is dead but I'm still debating on whether or not it will stick.
It is known by now that Penny has returned in Volume 7 of RWBY. I've seen and read several thoughts regarding her return. In terms of concept, I already plan on diverging from the canon of volume 7. But I'm still mixed on how to handle the situation regarding Penny.
Do you guys want me to follow the canon and bring her back. Or do something different and keep her dead. If I bring her back, things are going to be VERY different from canon. But I have no problem keeping her dead. As of now, she can be considered dead. But I want your opinion on how to handle Penny.
The responses will determine whether or not I bring her back like in canon. Or keep her fate as deceased. I might make a poll about it, but for now I want the responses to be in the reviews.
