To address a few concerns I've noticed regarding Yang from this point in the story. Yang didn't mean to push Ruby away, the way she did. The reason was that the anger she has towards Ragna is still fresh on her mind and seeing Ruby try to tell her to give Ragna a chance to explain himself unintentionally pushed Yang over the edge. Ruby knows Yang is angry at what happened and figured that Yang should take some time to cool down.
Also, Yang has no intentions of killing Ragna. But she is still going to be angry at him for everything that happened. The best way I can describe it without going into spoilers for future chapters is that Yang's first instinct at seeing Ragna again is to break every bone in his body.
Yang alienating Ruby the way she did was unintentional, but everything that happened to her is still fresh on her mind and seeing Jubei caused Yang to get angry knowing what his apprentice has done. Ruby knows that Yang is hurt and angry and isn't going to hold a grudge.
I do understand that Yang's anger is greater in this story than in canon. But the reason is that in canon, Blake simply ran away But. in this story, Ragna had an indirect role in Yang's injuries and he broke the immense trust that Yang had in him. Especially when he made the decision to fight both her and Weiss. So it would make sense for Yang to be angry because by comparison, Ragna did more harm than Blake did in RWBY canon.
Chapter 57 A new team formed
It has been several months since the Fall of Beacon and everything has been returned to normal for the most part. Though in the past few months, the world has been shaken by everything that has happened with Beacon. For starters, all of the Remnant is on guard for the threat that was able to cause the Fall of Beacon. Many people are now more cautious of the White Fang because of their known role in the fall of Beacon.
Along with the increased caution of the White Fang, the people are now suspicious of Atlus. The reason is because along with the White Fang and the Grimm attacking the students and the people of Vale. Thanks to a broadcasted video that was viewed by the entirety of Remnant before Vale lost contact with the outside world. The people outside of Vale believes that Atlus had something to do with the attack. Though nobody knows that Atlus's mech soldiers were hacked and made to attack many people. It doesn't change the fact that Atlus is now seen as a threat and with the Kingdom's mech soldiers being a liability. General Ironwood is now on edge and is active in dealing with those that threatens all of Remnant.
Yet, a single individual is has gotten the attention of all of Remnant. The individual is Ragna the Bloodedge, or to some people he is known as either the Beast of Remnant, Herald of the Black Beast, or the Beast Reborn. Though there is no official word on how to handle Ragna, despite the months that passed since he went berserk. Almost everyone is cautious of him because of the destructive power he displayed and killed people with. Also because of the announcement that he contains the power of the Black Beast. The very same Beast that threatened the world 70 years ago. Many are understandably afraid of the power he has and want to distance themselves from him. Others want to merely use him for his immense power seeing it as a chance to take control. While others want him dead because of the threat he poses. There's been no official word from the Councils of the Kingdoms on how to approach Ragna, but many Huntsman and Huntresses, along with the Academies are cautious of Ragna and have their own plans for the young man. Some will wish to be as distant as possible from him. Others will want to kill him to prevent the return of the Black Beast. While there are those that will seek to use Ragna for his power.
(The Forest)
Within a forest, a small group of people area travelling a simple road. Among the group are various humans and Faunus who appear to be simple villagers who are looking for a new home. Among them are a small group of armed individuals who wield weapons. Some have spears, and rifles, but what appears to be the strongest and the leader is wielding dual hammers. As the group were traveling, the noticed a lone individual who is wearing a red cloak.
The individual's face is concealed by a hoodie. But he is wearing a red cloak with various black fire markings all over the red coat. The along with the black markings, the red coat also has several black belts a symbol on the back that is in black. The individual is also wearing black jeans with red stripes.
"Stay calm and don't try anything stupid." One of the guardsman whispered to one of the wagon riders before the lead man spoke
"Long way from a place of civilization stranger. There a reason your out here or are you heading somewhere special?" The bald man said to the red cloaked individual
"I was out walking doing my own thing, and I lost track of time and lost my way. Now I'm just trying to get back to Ronin Gai." The individual said to the man causing him to smirk
"What a coincidence, we're on our way to Ronin Gai ourselves. Me and my group of Huntsman came across this poor group of travelers and decided to escort them. Isn't that right?" The Huntsman asked the cart rider while subtly holding his hammer while on his waist.
"Yes, they are escorting us." The Carriage Rider said with a nervous look and tone that the individual noticed.
"Since we're all going to the same place. How about you get into the cart with the others while we make our way to Ronin Gai?" The Huntsman said with a hidden smirk.
"I would, but it's a little hard to trust you when the people your escorting are scared to be close to you." The individual said to the Huntsman
"I highly recommend you come with us boy. The risk for wandering alone is much higher than you can afford. Especially when your vulnerable to the Grimm and other dangers." The Huntsman said as he was patting his hammer
"I supposed your right, it would be best if I come with you guys. But if I do that, then you'll just threaten me like your doing to those people. So let me guess your angle, hold them all at gunpoint and let them be our entry to Ronin Gai. Then when everything gets settled, you'll rob everyone blind." The individual said in an observant tone
"Hehehehe, not a bad guess boy. But you made a big mistake, Since you figured out our little plan, you have to come with us. Can't risk you going to warn the Huntsman and Huntress of Ronin Gai." The Huntsman said
"Taking me as a hostage like that group your with huh?" The Individual said
"I see it as an insurance policy. You see, things are becoming more dangerous out there. Thanks to things like the Grimm and the Fall of Beacon. So its to be expected for us warriors to go and offer our services to those in need. Now if these people can't afford our services, then its only fair for us to want to earn the money that we're worth. If people refuse to pay, then we'll find other means to collect our debt. Since Ronin-Gai is thriving and is rumored to give Atlus a run for their money in terms of tech and resources. Then we're going to make ourselves at home there." The Huntsman said in a confident tone
"Sounds like you guys are running from real Huntsman and is afraid to go to prison. Your not protectors, your bullies afraid of a real fight." The individual said to the Huntsman leading the group
"Go and teach this punk a lesson." The Huntsman said to one of the Bandits before he grabbed his dual swords and approached the individual
Once the Bandit got close, he tried to cut the individual's head off with a single stroke of his sword. But the individual was able to quickly dodge the attack and delivered a strong punch that allowed him to knock the bandit down. Another bandit tried to attack the individual with a spear. But the red-hooded individual merely grabbed the spear and effortlessly tossed the bandit to the side.
After the bandit was tossed, some of the bandits jumped off the wagon and proceeded to fire at the red-hooded individual. Reacting quickly, the red-hooded individual ran from side to side to avoid the rifle shots while getting closer to the bandits. Once the individual got close to the bandits, he kicked one of the bandits away and managed to grabbed the rifle from the other bandit. After he did so, he used the rifle he grabbed and smacked the bandit across her face and threw the rifle to the side.
"It would have to be at least 20 of you guys against me. If you want this to be a fair fight." The red-hooded individual said in a confident tone
"If you want something done right, then you got to do it yourself." The Bandit Huntsman said before he jumped off the wagon and wielded his dual hammers.
The Huntsman went towards the red-hooded male and started to swing his hammer furiously at him. Fortunately, the red-hooded individual was able to dodged each hammer swing until he jumped back and avoided another hammer attack. Unfortunately, the bandit Huntsman made a smirk and when he realized that he was about to hit the ground with his weapon. Once the hammer hit the ground, a powerful vibration was made and the red hooded individual lost his balance. This was what the Bandit Huntsman needed because he was able to swing one of his hammers and hit the individual. The red-hooded individual barely managed to block the attack, but he was knocked back as a result. After getting knocked back, the hood came down and the head of an individual that has been made infamous the past few months. The head that was revealed is of Ragna the Bloodedge in his new clothes attire.
"IT'S THE BEAST OF REMNANT!" One of the bandits yelled causing everyone to look at Ragna.
"HE'S HERE, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" Another Bandit yelled in a panicked tone before the Bandit Huntsman spoke up
"He's just one man you idiots. Besides, we'll live like kings once word spreads throughout Remnant that we've killed the beast." The Bandit Huntsman said before he gave Ragna a glare
"I've spent the last few months training, so let's see what you got." Ragna said confidently before the bandits proceeded to rush him
Ragna stayed calm and waited for the melee bandits to get closer. Once they did, Ragna proceeded to avoid their weapon attacks. After he did so, Ragna proceeded to overpower the bandits by hitting them with a series of quick punches. Before long, some of the bandits were down for the count and the Bandit Huntsman stood face to face with the infamous figure.
After taking a glance at Ragna, the Bandit Huntsman proceeded to hit the ground with his hammer and released several seismic waves towards Ragna. Not wanting to fall for the same trick twice. Ragna avoided each of the seismic waves that were being made at his direction. Once Ragna dodged several more seismic waves, he was able to avoid a sneak attack from one of the nearby bandits. After the sneak attack was avoided, Ragna delivered several quick punches to knock the bandit out this time. But in doing so, gave the Bandit Huntsman a chance to get closer to him. Once the bandit Huntsman got close, he tried to hit Ragna with his dual hammer. This time, Ragna was prepared and was able to block the initial hammer attack. When the Bandit Huntsman tried to deliver a follow up attack with the other hammer. Seeing the follow up attack coming, Ragna used a good deal of his strength to parry the hammer attack and knock the hammer out of the Bandit Huntsman hand. The Bandit Huntsman tried to attack Ragna with his other hammer, but Ragna was able to dodge the attack and punched him in the stomach before knocking him out. Before Ragna could check on the travelers, one of the bandits grabbed one of the traveling villagers and held him at gunpoint as a hostage.
"Now you listen to me beast, here is how its going to be. You are going to stand there while my ally shoots a bullet through your skull. If you try anything funny, then this poor villager will pay the price." The bandit said while holding his hostage
"So your going to put someone in danger because of the beatdown I gave your buddies and your boss?" Ragna asked
"You're the one who put them in danger when you crossed us. Now do as I say and accepted your . . ." The bandit said before he was attacked from behind and fell unconscious while letting go of his hostage. After the bandit fell, a young and short female could be seen behind him. The young woman has long blonde hair with most of it tied to a long ponytail. She is also Wearing a grey and black cloak and is armed with a sword.
"I had everything under control Lambda. You didn't need to come out here and deal with that guy." Ragna told Lambda in a slightly dissatisfied tone
"From my observation, you were close to doing something stupid. Therefore my assistance was necessary to prevent casualties." Lambda told Ragna
"Give me some credit Lambda, they didn't know I don't had my weapon and they were scared. So they were bound to make a mistake sooner or later." Ragna told Lambda in a confident tone
"Carelessness isn't allowed during a hostage situation. The Bandit would have panicked and endangered the hostage even further. You should have formulated a plan with me instead of coming to deal with the situation yourself." Lambda told Ragna in a lightly scolding tone
"Did you expect me to wait for you and the others? I saw that they were in trouble and I had to do something about it. Besides, I wanted to break into my new clothes and see how comfortable they are in a fight. Though against these guys. I'm better off against the Grimm." Ragna sid before he went to the travelling villagers. Though before he got close, some of the started to look at Ragna in fear.
"Pl . . . please don't hurt us. We don't want to cause you any trouble." One of the villagers said in a fearful tone. Before any of them tried to run, Lambda started to approach them.
"I see that your all travelling to Ronin-Gai. I shall escort you all there while my associate deals with the bandits." Lambda said before another one of the Villagers spoke up further
"Thank you, we're all just on edge due to the Grimm attacks and us losing our home. This man, as I recall his name is Gau, offered us protection but started to hold us hostage. He learned that we were traveling to Ronin-Gai and planned to use us to get within their walls. If we didn't comply, he would kill us and some of us have families." One of the villagers said before Lambda spoke up
"There are several Huntsman within Ronin-Gai, once we arrive. All of you will be given proper treatment and care." Lambda said before she started to lead the travelling villagers to Ronin-Gai. Before they went too far, one of the villagers noticed Ragna putting the bandits on a vacant cart and whispered to another person
"Is that really the Beast of Remnant? Ragna the Bloodedge is staying in Ronin-Gai?" The Villager asked in a low tone
"He saved our lives, he can't be all bad." Another one of the Villagers said in a low tone while Ragna mentally nodded at hearing the travelling Villagers talk about him
(Ronin-Gai)
It took almost an hour for Ragna and Lambda to escort the travelling Villagers to Ronin-Gai. The Bandits. While Lambda was leading the Villagers, Ragna was in the back watching the detained bandits. As Ragna was watching the bandits, he made sure to keep his red hood on for good reason. Due to his newfound infamy that's been made since the fall of Beacon. One of the benefits of his new clothes is that the hoodie that's part of it, is able to conceal his face and as long as people don't take a closer look. Not too long after everyone got deeper within the Village. Several Huntsman and Huntresses caught up to the group with Lord Tenjo herself leading them.
"Thank you for welcoming us to your Village Lord Tenjo. I apologize for the circumstances of our arrival but we appreciate this regardless. There are many farmers and Blacksmiths among us and we are prepared to work for us to earn our keep and better your Village." The lead Travelling Villager said as he was respectfully bowing to Tenjo
"I appreciate your willingness to help our Village and you are welcomed here. My scouts and informants have informed me that the troubling individuals who strong-armed your assistance have been troublesome foe many in Anima. Though I would have preferred the capture of the bandits to be done with more subtly. I am happy for your rescue, we can discuss things like work after you and your fellow travelers have healed and rested." Tenjo said in a kind and soothing tone to the Villager before she turned her attention to the Bandits
"We have a nice prison for these criminals. Since we've been getting reports that these bandits have been causing problems for many other travelers I know for certain that there will be many who will be satisfied with the capture of these bandits." Tenjo said as the Huntsman and Huntresses started to escort the bandits away. After they were taken away, Tenjo started to approach Ragna and Lambda
"Ragna, I appreciate your enthusiasm but you should know that your still an infamous figure among Remnant. It was reckless and destructive for you to go and fight them without a plan of attack. Not to mention dangerous since Luna is still working on your weapon." Tenjo told Ragna in a scolding tone
"What was I supposed to do, let them come and do what they want. Besides, this was a good opportunity for me to break into my new clothes." Ragna responded causing Tenjo to take a deep breath
"Well what's done is done, let's get to the others. I have a feeling that it's time for us to make our move." Tenjo said before her, Lambda, and Ragna left
(Ronin-Gai training grounds)
Once the three made it to the training grounds. They were greeted with Jaune and Bang sparring against each other. Every punch that Bang made is narrowly avoided by Jaune. Once Jaune avoided Bang's attack, he tried to do a follow-up attack against Bang but it was blocked. After the punch was made, Bang managed to kick Jaune on the side and knocked him to the side for a bit. Bang tried to do a follow-up attack but Jaune was able to quickly block the attack and held his ground. When both Bang and Jaune looked around for a brief second, they saw Tenjo, Ragna, and Lambda and decided to stop sparring and caught up to them along with Bullet.
"Lord Tenjo, I am honored to see that you are well and have come to see the fruits of our training." Bang said as he was bowing to Tenjo after she arrived
"I'm glad to see that you and the others have gotten stronger Bang. From the brief fight I saw of you two, I'm pleased to see that you have come a long way." Tenjo said praising Bang and Jaune
"Where were you two, I didn't see you come for training?" Jaune asked before Lambda spoke up
"I sensed people coming towards Ronin-Gai with ill intent. I informed Ragna and he proceeded to go and confront them himself. I was able to assist him before one of the bandits could harm a hostage." Lambda answered
"Ragna, if we're going to be working together. You should have formulated a plan with us. You didn't need to go out there and deal with them alone." Jaune told Ragna
"You know how I am Jaune, besides neither of you guys have your weapons and I didn't want you guys to fight unprepared." Ragna responded
"But me and Bullet are able to fight with our fists, we don't need weapons for everything." Bang told Ragna
"Well, since you were fighting, I should use my semblance to help you heal." Jaune said before he touched Ragna's shoulder and his arm started to be enveloped in white aura.
"It does my heart proud to see that you've come a long way with your semblance Jaune. To think you've unlocked it a month ago." Bang said in a proud tone
"It's nice to know that we have a healer on the team aside from Amane. With him helping the people in Vale, his abilities would be useful to them there." Bullet said
"Well, seeing as though you've all made great strides in your training and getting stronger. I suppose the time for you all to travel to Haven Academy is soon." Tenjo said getting more of everyone's attention
"Lord Tenjo, are you sure we're ready? I admit that we have gotten stronger. But we still need more time to learn how to better function as a team." Bang said in a concerned tone
"All of you have a basic grasp of coordination these past few months. I would prefer to give you all more time. But recent events have forced my hand and time is something we no longer have. Which is why that for today, all of you will be presented with your weapons including the upgrades that were made." Tenjo said before they all saw a young cloaked child approach them.
"Oh great, we have to hear this little brat run her mouth." Ragna said at the approaching child
"Being around you is no picnic for me either you moron. The only reason I even bothered to work on your weapon was because Jubei asked me. If it were up to me, I would have it set to explode the second you touched it." The cloaked child said
"You can try it you little brat, I'll just beat the crap out of you when after I wring your neck." Ragna responded before Jaune and Bang stepped in
"Come on Ragna, Luna was nice enough to work on our stuff. So can you try to be a bit nicer to her." Jaune suggested before Bang spoke up
"Besides, as adults we must set a good example and not let their words affect us so easily." Bang said to Ragna
"Listen to blondie and sweaty, they have the right idea and can teach you some respect. But your so dumb I bet it'll just be a waste of time." Luna said with a snarky tone
"Are you listening to this little brat? Just let me have a few minutes and I can . . ." Ragna said before Lambda covered his mouth
"Ragna, don't make this any worse. She was about to show us the weapon upgrades." Lambda said before Luna spoke up
"Sena, you take over for a while. Talking to this idiot tired me out more than I thought and I feel like punching him." Luna said before a different persona took over
"So which one are you right now, the rude brat or the spineless boy?" Ragna asked
"Please don't put me in the middle of what's going on between you and Luna. I just want to show you all your weapons and get this over with." Sena said before he used his staff and brought out a case. When the case was opened, everyone's weapons were on full display with slightly different appearances.
"This all looks so cool. I can't explain it, but it feels like my sword and shield is different from before." Jaune said in an impressed to as him and the rest grabbed their weapons.
"First let me explain what each of your weapons can do. I'll start with your dual gauntlets Bullet. First I was able to balance the functions and energy output between your gauntlets. Everything you can do with one gauntlet you and do with the other. That includes shields, energy blasts, and shoulder boosts. Since the energy core of your weapons is light dust and electricity. I decided to modify the energy core enabling it to recharge when your not using it. You can still combine your gauntlets and when you do, the functions become much stronger." Sena said explaining Bullet's weapon upgrades to her
"Nice." Bullet said as she tested out her upgraded gauntlet.
"Bang, since your more of a close quarters fighter, I made some improvements to your combat gear. For started, I've added several elemental dust cores to each of your fighting gloves. You can do elemental based attacks such as thunder or ice punches. For your punches, your elemental attacks are fire, thunder, ice. Though if you want to hold off on the use of dust, you cana always turn it off." Sena told Bang before he continued to explain the upgrades
"For your leg braces, I've added wind and gravity dust cores along with the elemental cores. It'll help you move faster so you can conserve your aura. Also you can switch the cores at anytime. They can also recharge when your not using it, So you don't have to worry about refilling the dust cartridges. But if the cores are destroyed, you can switch them out until I created new dust cores. But still be careful with them. Also, before you ask, They still have that stun function, since I see that they come in handy." Sena told Bang finishing his explanation on the upgrades
"Thank you, I will treat these with the utmost care and respect." Bang passionately said to Sena
"Now for your shield and sword. Since they are a family weapon, I had to be careful but I am proud of what I've done. For starters, I increased their durability and added a function to the shield. First you need to put on these gloves." Sena said before he handed Jaune a pair of white and gold gloves
"Sure." Jaune said as he was putting the gloves on
"Now, concentrate your aura into your right hand." Sena said before he activated the shield. Once Jaune concentrated, the shield went to his right hand in a quick speed. Once it happened, everyone was amazed at what they saw
"Wow, this is so cool. Its like Captain Remnant." Jaune said with Sena speaking up
"With this you'll never have to worry about losing your shield ever again. This anly applies to your shield so don't get too careless. As for your sword, I've added some hard-light dust to the edges, so when you concentrate your aura, the edge of your sword will glow and it will be stronger. That combined with that special upgrade you've asked for. You will be a force to be reckoned with. As an added bonus, I was able to do all of this without damaging your family weapon. While also add that gold tiara to the shield. Where did you get it from anyways?" Sena asked in a curious tone causing everyone to be silent for a moment
"I got it from a friend, who always had my back." Jaune said in a somber tone while looking down causing Ragna to look away with his expression hidden. Sensing the new sulked mood, Jaune decided to speak up to ask a question
"So Sena, when you were showing us our upgrades, I noticed that you mentioned recharging Dust. The thing is, I've never heard of Dust that can recharge before. Is this something new?" Jaune asked in a curious tone causing Sena to quickly speak up
"Not exactly, altering Dust so that it can recharge with the application of aura is something that only I can do. Ronin-Gai can do it too, but its not as potent compared to me." Sena said which surprised everyone
"I'm surprised Atlus or the SDC hasn't tried to take your resources or copied off of it." Bullet said to Sena
"The SDC tried to copy it, but to this day they haven't been successful. As for Atlus, the General wanted to establish a partnership with Ronin-Gai. I turned him down of course, but he insists on us sharing the method of how Dust is able to recharge. But given what happened several months ago, my caution has been justified." Tenjo briefly explained Bullet
With Dust being able to recharge, tons of Huntsman and Huntresses would find a lot of use for it." Jaune said in an optimistic tone
"Of that I have no doubt, but I would prefer it to be used by everyone in the world. Not everyone can use aura so me and several others are trying to find a way for rechargeable Dust to be used by everyone." Tenjo told Jaune
"As much as I would like for us to discuss the use of rechargeable Dust. I still don't have my weapon, so when will I get it?" Ragna asked impatiently
"I almost forgot about you Ragna." Sena said before he brought out another larger case. When the case opened up, Ragna's sword Bloodedge. Though now, the sword has a slightly different appearance. The black parts of the sword is slightly larger and there are spikes that appear on the opposite side of the sword.
"Your sword is a special case Ragna, I had to use more power from my Nox Nyctores Muchorin to have your sword consume the raw materials for it to expand. Once your sword was expanded, I was able to alter the form and make some adjustments so I can improve your weapon." Sena said as Ragna was grabbing Bloodedge. After grabbing his sword, Ragna noticed that his sword is slightly heavier but started to notice that there was more to his upgraded.
"One of the upgrades that your sword has is that it has a better hold of your aura when you focus on it. So you can focus your aura into your weapon when it's in either sword or scythe form. Also I added that new function that you asked for. The function is that you can now fire a gun with your weapon. So now you can have close-quarters and long ranged options. Also try focusing your aura into your sword." Sena said with Ragna doing as he was told. When Ragna focused his aura into his sword. His aura has enveloped his sword and it took the shape of a broadsword. The sight of this has impressed everyone and is amazed at the new function
"You can also do this when Bloodedge is in its scythe form. The more aura you focus into your weapon, the stronger it can get. Before I forget, the gun barrel attached to your sword uses your aura for ammo, when you pull the trigger on your sword handle and focus your aura. You'll fire an aura blast. The best part is that you won't need to release your seal." Sena explained before Jaune spoke up
"I noticed that Ragna's sword has some functions that requires his aura. Why that instead of Dust?" Jaune asked in a curious tone
"Bloodedge doesn't have any dust, I tried to implement elemental dust to his weapon. But for some reason, the dust effects wouldn't stick. Besides, Ragna has a ton of aura and the functions wouldn't impact his aura reserves too badly." Sena answered
"Since all of you have been given your weapons and informed of its new functions. You will depart tomorrow. So take this time to rest up, because you'll have a long journey ahead of you." Tenjo said before everyone thought about the journey ahead towards Mantle.
(Early Morning)
It is early morning and Tenjo has greeted the young team that will be travelling to Ronin Gai. The young heroes have met up with Tenjo at the entrance and they are in new clothes and have newly upgraded weapons, ready for the Journey ahead.
Jaune is wearing more armor that is stronger and sturdier. Bang is wearing a green and black ninja garb with red sash that is wrapped around his waist and a black undershirt. While his symbol is drawn on the center of chest. Bullet is wearing a tan button down vest with a black undershirt as well as black jeans. She is also wearing a brown and black sleeveless coat. Lambda is wearing a gray and blue poncho with light gray cloth armor underneath. While last but not least Ragna is wearing his red coat with the black markings with a hoodie that conceals his face.
"I see that your all rested and ready. Even though Ronin-Gai is closer to Mistral compared to Vale. It is still a long way to get their. So don't be afraid to take them on." Tenjo explained before she started to talk to Ragna directly
"Ragna, I heard how the people from yesterday were afraid of you due to your infamy. But shouldn't be surprised, because right now the entire world is split on their opinion on you. They will either be afraid of you and maintain distance from you. Or they will want you dead. There are also some people who will want to use you for your power and see you as a tool. Since your known to the world, you need to know who to trust and anyone can put a false face. Everything change from this point on and there are many dangers that goes beyond just the Grimm. Especially against those that were able to orchestrate the Fall of Beacon." Tenjo told everyone causing Ragna to have a deep thought
"Which includes that bastard Terumi. He will pay for he's done. Also, if that bitch Cinder is still alive after what I've done to her at the top of the tower. Then I'll make sure she dies by my hands and stays dead." Ragna thought to himself with a focused gaze.
"Thank you for everything Lord Tenjo, you've trained us and made sure that we would be prepared for our journey to Mistral." Bang said in a grateful tone before Jaune Spoke up.
"Come to think of it, where is Baiken? With all the intense training she put us through, especially Bang. I thought that she would see us off like you're doing now." Bullet said in a curious tone
"Since Haven is still closed, Baiken is doing an assignment for me that can help Ronin-Gai. We won't hear from her for a while but does wish your journey the best." Tenjo said as the group of five looked forward before Ragna spoke.
"Listen everyone, I can't think of those motivational speeches that most people would normally say. So I'll get right down to it, from this point on, we're going up against some dangerous people and they have to pay for what they've done. We've made our decision to move forward and fight and that's what we'll do. We have to trust each other to have our backs. Because we are now a team. As of this moment we are team RBAL." Ragna said before him and the others left off for their journey.

I apologize for the incredibly long wait for this chapter. A lot of things happened in my personal life and it delayed things a lot more than I thought. Until further notice, the chapter updates won't be as frequent as it used to be.

For Bang's new outfit, I used Reptile's MK 9 Klassic skin for a starting point.
The team name for Ragna, Bang, Bullet, Jaune, and Lambda is team Rebel (RBAL). Since Bang and Bullet's name start with the letter B. I decided to let the B represent the both of them and not have two B's in the newly formed team name.
One of the major deviations from canon with the new team set-up is that due to spending several months in Ronin-Gai training. Jaune has gotten much stronger and unlocked his semblance much earlier than in canon.
Another thing that was added is that all of the characters has gotten major weapon upgrades. Ragna's weapon Bloodedge now has a gun form, along with a sword form and a scythe form.
I know that there might be concerns about Platinum's brief appearance with Luna and Sena. But rest assured that she will appear more in a future chapter. I want to reveal more details, but that will spoil most of my plans.
What I can confirm is that Platinum used the Nox Nyctores Muchorin to upgrade the characters weapons including Bloodedge. The reason is that Bloodedge cannot be upgraded like normal weapons so Platinum's Nox Nyctores was needed in order for it to be upgraded.
Also, Muchorin is able to alter dust so that it can recharge on its own so that it can have repeated use. Ronin-Gai has rechargeable dust as well and Tenjo and her son knows how to create it but it is far less potent than what Muchorin and Platinum can do. Since Tenjo, Homura, and Platinum knows how to alter dust so that it can recharge. It is something that is not worldly available, but Tenjo wants to change all of that. The rechargeable dust is one of the resources that makes Ronin-Gai stand out and it has gotten General Ironwood's attention.
Also to prevent a misunderstanding, any alchemy knowledge Platinum knows, Luna and Sena knows as well. But they don't know everything Platinum knows regarding alchemy.
