I've noticed a lot of responses of me disconfirming the pairing of Oscar X Izanami. So allow me to explain why I decided to mention that specific pairing not happening. You guys will be surprised at the kinds of pairing requests I've been given on the PM. I make it a policy to always be open minded about certain requests including but not limited to pairings. But if I get a pairing request that won't be a good fit for this story, then I have to disconfirm it. So technically, any pairing is a possibility but pairings is not the main focus of this story.
For Hakumen, he's not just killing the bandits from Raven's tribe. He's killing all bandits that he comes cross. There is a good reason why Hakumen is Anima and that reason will be revealed soon.
For the team name of Ruby, Jin, Nora, and Ren. To be honest, it can be either RRJN or RNJR.
Chapter 62 Problems with home
(Menagerie)
After several days of traveling by boat. Blake, Sun, and Tao have made it to Menagerie. When the trio arrived, they see many Faunus populate the simple continent that they are on. Both Sun and Tao shared an impressed look at the large variety of Faunus that has gathered in one location. Though Blake instead has a longing look on her face at the circumstances that caused so many Faunus to gather together in Menagerie an away from the Kingdoms.
"Wow, there are many many Faunus like meow. I see wolves, deer, even more cat persons meow." Tao said as she was looking closely at many of the Faunus before she noticed several fish Faunus
"Wow, fish Faunus, that means they can bring meow lots of tasty tuna." Tao said excitedly while drooling before Blake and Sun pulled her away before she fell into the sea
"Take it easy Tao, you act as if you haven't seen may Faunus before." Sun told Tao as he was getting her away from the water.
"Meow, but I haven't, its always cat Faunus for most of the time. Its still cool seeing you monkey man." Tao told Sun causing Blake to think for a second
"Wait, just so I can understand, you've spent most of your life among other cat Faunus Tao?" Blake asked in a concerned tone
"Yep, my village has a lot of kaka cats. I know about other Faunus, but I don't see many that aren't cats meow." Tao said as she was looking at the diverse Faunus population with excitement
"I do have to admit, seeing so many different Faunus here is incredible." Sun commented to the girls
"Yeah, but there are a lot of things that needs to be better. Such as the circumstances of so many of us coming here." Blake said getting Sun's attention
"What do you mean, this place doesn't look so bad." Sun told Blake
"Menagerie is a small continent Sun. This land was given to the Faunus after the events of the war and the death of the beast. But two thirds of it is uninhabitable, due in no small part to the dangerous wildlife." Blake briefly explained to Sun
"If most of the island is dangerous, then just beat up the wildlife. Many monster's come to my village all the time. But we rough them up and kick all types of buts meow." Tao said overhearing the conversation
"Tao, most of Menagerie is a dangerous desert. You come from a small Village, but the entirety of the Faunus Species. Can't handle that much danger." Blake told Tao
"So let me see if I got this straight. We're given an island with a lot of awesome desert, but instead of making use of it because of how dangerous it is. We're all cramped together and told to just be grateful for what we have." Sun explained to Blake his understanding of the situation
"Pretty much." Blake bluntly answered
"Wow, what a bunch of jerks." Sun said causing Tao to speak up
"Grr, they are a bunch of jerks. Let meow at them so I can rough em up real good." Tao said excitedly
"The Faunus came here to get away from it all. But seeing all of us cramped together here. Is just a painful reminder that we're not equal, and that we're just tired of everything." Blake told Sun and Tao with a concerned look on her face
"Well for what its worth Blake, this guy is feeling pretty much at home here." Sun said proudly to Blake
"Yeah, this is just like my Village but with more types of Faunus Meow." Tao said excitedly causing Blake to laugh for a brief second
"Well time to head home, I can't hold this off forever." Blake said causing Sun and Tao to look over the many homes among Kuo Kuana
"So which one is yours?" Sun asked excitedly while looking at the many houses
"Ooh, is it the one black roof meow?" Tao asked
"No." Blake quickly answered
"Is it that one over there, I like the paint job." Sun asked while pointing to another house
"No, that's not it Sun." Blake answered
"Well which one is it?" Sun asked slowly getting impatient causing Blake to guide Sun's hand and point to a large home that can be seen by the three. After pointing to the large home, both Sun and Tao shared a stun look at where Blake came from.
"My father is the Chieftain of Kuo Kuana and that is my home." Blake said nervously to the two
"Meow, such a big home. Its big enough to have a lot of the little kittens from my village meow. Let's go, I can't wait to see it up close." Tao said before she started to run off excitedly towards the big house. With both Blake and Sun following her.
(Moments later)
Once the trio made it to the large house, Blake started to have a nervous look on her face. Looking upon the multilayered home, made Blake think about the amount of time its been since she's seen her parents. Even though she is glad to be home and to be able to see her family again. She also has a good anxiety at how her parents will react at seeing her again after so long.
"Well, aren't you going to knock" Tao asked Blake in an impatient tone
"It's just been a long time and I'm still trying to process all of this." Blake told Tao before Sun spoke up
"Well you came all this way." Sun said before Blake used the large doorknob.
"OK I do have to admit that this is a little intimidating." Sun said before the large door opened up. Once the door opened up, an lone female cat Faunus was in view and upon seeing Blake, she has a happy and surprised look on her face
"Blake?" Kali said in a surprised tone
"Hi mom." Blake said nervously before Kali hugged her
"Oh my baby girl, I'm so glad to see you." Kali said happily while she was hugging Blake
"Kali, who's that at the door." Ghira said as he started to approach the door before he stopped and noticed Kali hugging Blake with a stunned look on his face
(Vermillion Estate)
Noel spent several weeks in a coma after the fall of Beacon. Once she woke up, she was greeted by the sight of her adopted parents who are happy to see their daughter awake and most importantly alive. At the sight of her parents, Noel is glad to be among those who love her. The fact that she's adopted doesn't matter to either Noel or her parents. During the months that followed, Noel has spent a good deal of time healing and resting while still being aware of what's going on. Fortunately, Makoto's letters were able to reach her and she is glad to know that her friend is doing fine and is helping Yang heal.
Noel misses everyone at Beacon greatly, she misses her own team, members of team RWBY, team BLST, and especially team JNPR including her boyfriend Jaune. She was barely able to recall how things went after the masked man grabbed her. But she is hopeful that Jaune is at the very least safe. To help her take her mind off of things, she decided to cook so she can test out some new recipes. After Noel finished cooking some food, a friendly face entered.
"Mai, its so good to see you." Noel said happily to Mai
"It's good to see you too, its nice to see that your up and about. I also see that your cooking, I hope I get to taste test your cooking." Mai said with a great deal of enthusiasm
"Sure, in fact you came at the perfect time. I was finishing up a new recipe and I was hoping for someone to try it out. I call it, cheese squash pasta." Noel said before she served Mai a bowl of the odd concoction. After receiving the food, Mai ate a large spoonful and looked satisfied with the taste
"Incredible Noel, you managed to outdo yourself. The cheese is a wonderful compliment to the squash and the sugar you added prevents the taste from overlapping each other. I'm looking forward to what you can think of next." Mai said with a lot of enthusiasm
"Thanks Mai, cooking helps me take my mind off of a few things. At the very least, it helps me deal with what happened at Beacon. I hope everyone from the school is OK." Noel tol Mai
"Before me and my team came back to Atlus. I know that most of us were able to survive, but I heard that Pyrrha got killed." Mai told Noel in a saddened tone
"Being separated from my friends is already rough. I can't imagine how Jaune and his teammates are feeling from Pyrrha's death. Pyrrha is my friend, but she's Jaune friend and teammate." Noel told Mai
"I know, its just going to be hard for him and his team you know." Mai told Noel in a worried tone
"How are you and your team doing? The Academy is still closed but I do know that you and Tsubaki are still in the dorms." Noel asked Mai
"Aside from training, me and my team aren't really doing anything. The only thing that's happening that's worth mentioning is the fundraiser." Mai said quickly getting Noel's attention
"What fundraiser?" Noel asked in a curious tone
"The fundraiser that's been started by Mr. Schnee. There will be a concert and auction that will raise funds to help Vale. Tsubaki told me about it and has to go because of her family obligations. Because me, Kagura, and Hibiki are on the same team with her. We can go with her as well. Do you plan on going to the fundraiser Noel? I think it will do us and Weiss some good to see a familiar and friendly face." Mai asked causing Noel to speak up
"It's probably one of those invite only affairs. Since my family aren't part of high society, I doubt Mr. Schnee will extend an invitation to us. Besides, if my dad sees the General. He'll end up yelling at him at how careless he was with security. I still remember how he was when I woke up from my coma." Noel explained before she remembered what happened after she woke up
(Months ago)
"I can't believe that my daughter was put in danger like that! Those White Fang terrorist attacking the school. Then the General's soldiers attacking so many people. The Headmasters of these academies should have taken more precautions!" Edgar Vermillion told his wife venting his frustration at what happened at Beacon
"Dad I'm fine, the doctor said that I'll be able to make a full recovery as long as I get some rest." Noel told her father
"How can that be when you were in a coma for a few weeks. You could have died and we would never have seen you again." Edgar told Noel
"But dad . . . ." Noel said before her mother spoke up
"Noel, you were in more danger than we could have imagined. We didn't want you to attend the Academies in the first place because of the danger you would be in. Your father and I are worried, so please understand our concern." Claire Vermillion told Noel
"I realize now that the academy was more dangerous than I thought. Once you make a full recovery, I will look into ways for you to be on the path of a stable and safe career. An alternative to these dangerous Academy's. If these Headmasters are going to be careless with the lives of the students. Then I'm going to take the proper steps to protect my daughter." Edgar explained to Noel his plans
"But dad . . . ." Noel said in a worried tone
"I know you want to help and protect people Noel. But there are other ways to help people without putting your life in danger." Claire said in a concerned tone to her daughter
(Present time)
"Wow, that sounds a bit harsh." Mai told Noel after hearing what happened
"My parents calmed down, so it is possible for me to attend the Academy again. But their adamant on me choosing a career that won't require me to be a Huntress." Noel briefly explained to Mai
"Well the Academy in Atlus is closed and you're not close to graduating yet. So there's still plenty of time for you to convince him that being a Huntress is what you want to do." Mai told Noel causing the blonde girl to have a thoughtful look before speaking
"I'm certain of that, but to be honest. After I woke up from my coma and spent a lot of time with my family. I started thinking about a lot of things. Including but not limited to my future and I have a few thoughts." Noel briefly explained to Mai
"What's on your mind?" Mai asked
"Honestly, I'm thinking about whether or not I still want to be a Huntress. I want to help people, that hasn't changed and I still want to attend the Academy. But I don't know if being a Huntress is what I really want for my future. My parents made it clear that they'll support me no matter what. But I need to figure out what I want to do with my life. Especially since I have my Aura Weapon." Noel said before she brought out Bolverk before she continued to explain
"What happened at Beacon and to me, pushed me to think about what I want out of my life. I figured being a Huntress will help my family. But seeing them worry about me when I was hurt as badly as I was. Not to mention remembering the fact that my parents didn't want me to be a Huntsman in the first place. I don't want to hurt people like that and make their loved ones worry. Don't get the wrong idea, I still want to fight the Grimm and protect people, but I don't think I have it in myself to kill people if it comes down to it." Noel explained to Mai about the stuff t hat's been on her mind
"The best thing I can tell you is that you have to think of your life first. Its easy to forget, but everyone join the Academy for a different reason. But something happens in some form that makes people think about whether or not they should still stay at the Academy. I don't know what to tell you, but having your family support you unconditionally is a blessing that you should be happy for." Mai explained to Noel before she continued
"I joined the Academy to help people. But also for the sake of my father. My father does care about me, but the only thing he cares about is strength. It was my family maid that brought me back. My mother was out on a mission at the time. When I saw my father again, he was furious that I was unable to beat the Beast of Remnant and showed weakness during the fall." Mai explained to Noel shocking her friend before continuing
"My father is the type of man who values strength above everything else. So if I even try to talk to him about me not being a Huntress. He wouldn't take too kindly to that thought. I'm still committed to be a Huntress and I'm still going back to Atlus Academy once it re-opens. But you need to figure out what you want for your future and if your content with it." Mai explained to Noel
"You've given me a lot to think about, thank you. Will you be going to the fundraiser?" Noel asked Mai
"Yeah, but only to support Tsubaki and my team. Besides, Weiss can use a friendly face and I doubt being around all those nobles will o her any favors. But before I go, can I eat some more of your cooking? The food at these things always tasted terrible." Mai told Noel
"Sure, I'd be happy to give you some more of my homemade dishes." Noel said before she served Mai more food
(Belladonna House)
It was a very pleasant experience for Blake to spend time with her parents and catching them up on what's been going on with her life. This calming moment with her friends and family. Is something that she misses greatly during the months she's been on her own. Though as she was with her family, she found herself worried about the state of things that's going on. Everything involving Beacon, the White Fang, even her future. She is grateful to both Sun and Tao for sticking by her as she went to her parents. But there is another part of her that's worried about how she'll figure things out.
"What happened with Beacon is nothing but tragic and awful. I know that the kingdom of Vale wasn't perfect. But it still didn't deserve what happened. I'm glad to see that your back home with us." Kali told Blake
"I wasn't worried, I knew my daughter would be able to handle herself with ease." Ghira said with a confident tone
"Oh please, you should have seen your father walk around with worry." Kali said in a teasing tone
"Yeah, I know for certain that Blake can handle herself. After all, I've seen her pull off all sorts of moves back in Vale." Sun said in a proud tone, oblivious to the glare from Ghira
"Who are you and what do you mean by that?" Ghira said in a defensive tone
"Well its just that I've seen a lot of Blake's moves. I mean not that I see her all the time, its just that she's incredible. But as a warrior, I've seen her in all types of action. But the kind of action you'll be proud of. Um actually, what I mean is that Blake is always great in whatever she does. Um this is some really good tea." Sun said as he was drinking the tea nervously
"I don't like you very much boy." Ghira said as he was giving Sun an intense glare
"Meow, Blake is as fast as meow. She is also very sneaky like meow when it comes to food. Especially with how much she really loves tuna." Tao said causing Kali to snicker
"It's not often any of us come across someone from the Kaka clan. It's a pleasure to meet you Tao." Kali told Tao
"Meow, its nice to meet you all too. Especially when I get to see so many kinds of Faunus meow." Tao said excitedly before a knock was made at the door
"Oh thank goodness." Sun thought to himself
"I wonder if they actually made it this time." Ghira said as he was getting up and getting himself ready
"What meeting, is everything OK?" Blake asked in a worried tone
"Everything is fine dear, its just that we have a meeting with some very important people. We were given a general timeframe of their arrival but nothing else." Kali said before they all went to the large door. Once they made it, Tao's ears perked up at the sight of the person who is at the door
"TORA KAKA!" Tao yelled before she started to rush towards her longtime mentor and friend
"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise, I'm glad to see that your doing great Tao." Tora said in a happy tone
"Do you know her Tao?" Blake asked in a curious tone
"Yep, Tora taught meow how to fight and beat up all types of bad Grimm. It was Tora and my village elder that convinced me to go to Beacon." Tao said excitedly
"I saw your matches in the tournament Tao, I'm glad to see that you have grown so much since I last saw you meow. I would love to catch up with you, but right now I'm here on business. So our reunion is going to have to wait a bit meow." Tora briefly explained before she was led into the house by Ghira and Kali
"Now that we are settled, allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Tora Kaka and I'm here as an Envoy of Ronin-Gai. I thank you for taking the time to see me and allowing me into your home." Tora said properly introducing herself to Ghira
"Thank you for coming Tora, I am Ghira Belladonna and I am the Chieftain of Menagerie. I've received your message of your arrival but I did not know when you would arrive." Ghira told Tora
"I apologize for that, many events have occurred that made an accurate assumption of our arrival quit difficult. Unfortunately, giving you a general timeframe was the next best thing." Tora told Ghira
"The message mentions your arrival but not the reason. So if you don't mind, would you please tell me what Ronin-Gai wants with Menagerie." Ghira told Tora
"The one who organized all of this will be able to tell you better than I can meow. In fact, you should be hearing a door knock in a second." Tora said with a loud knock being heard exactly when Tora predicted it. The both of them heard Kali answer the door and a second later they heard her speak further.
"Oh my." Kali said causing Ghira to be mentally on guard. After a brief second. A lone woman entered the room that Ghira and Tora were sitting in and when Ghira took a look. He was surprised at the individual that has entered his home
"Chieftain Belladonna, allow me to introduce you to the leader of Ronin-Gai, Lord Tenjo." Tora said introducing Tenjo
"Welcome to my home, if I'd have known that you were coming. I would have made much more formal arrangements." Ghira told Tenjo
"It is fine, if anything I apologize for not coming sooner. There was a personal matter that required my full attention and as a result my activities were greatly limited. My arrival had to be a kept secret due to the nature of the reason I've come." Tenjo told Ghira causing the him to have a thoughtful look on his face
"I do welcome the both of you, but I still need to know. What does Ronin-Gai want with Menagerie?" Ghira asked in a thoughtful and concerned tone before Tenjo started to speak
"For the past few years, I have been aggressively expanding and gaining territory for Ronin-Gai. I have been subtle with my activities but many has caught wind of it in some form." Tenjo told Ghira
"Did you come here to make Menagerie part of Ronin-Gai's territory?" Ghira asked Tenjo in a cautious tone
"The answer is both yes and no. It's no secret that when the Faunus were given this continent, they were cheated out of quality land. Forcing many to settle on one-third of the land. Where the remaining two-thirds is uninhabitable and as a result impossible to live in. It's also no secret about what happened in Vale. Especially the White Fang's role in it." Tenjo said which surprised Ghira
"What do you mean Lord Tenjo?" Ghira asked in a surprised tone
"The White Fang has played an instrumental role in the fall of Beacon. But I believe the ones who are listening in on us can tell you in better detail than I can." Tenjo said causing Ghira to have a thoughtful look on his face
"Blake?" Ghira called out causing Blake, Sun, and Tao to step into the room with a shared thoughtful look
"The White Fang was at Beacon, they attacked innocent people and brought the Grimm to the school." Blake said which surprised Ghira and Kali
"How did you know this?" Ghira asked Tenjo while on guard
"Aside from these witnesses, a personal friend of mine has informed me of what happened in great detail. I was even given a recording if you wish to have further proof. Though I believe your connection to the White Fang can help confirm this detail." Tenjo said causing Blake, Ghira, and Kali to have a shared surprised look
"How did you know?" Ghira asked in a surprised tone
"I make it a habit to look into those I intend to work with. Rest assured, I do not plan on threatening you with this information. I'm fully aware of you stepping down as leader before the White Fang unfortunately lost its way. I merely want to put our cards on the table. Which is a major part of why I'm here." Tenjo told Ghira before she started to speak further
"I'm in the process of establishing a 5th Kingdom of Remnant. What happened at Beacon is my wake-up call to see how divided this world really is. I originally intended to wait a bit longer for this. But given the circumstances, it was time to take more actions for my plan sooner than I hoped. Ronin-Gai will still exist as the core foundation of the Kingdom. The name of the 5th Kingdom will be Ikaruga." Tenjo told Ghira and everyone else in the room
"The Kingdom of Ikaruga, what does that have to do with us then?" Ghira asked in a curious tone
"I want Menagerie and all of its citizens to be a part of the Kingdom of Ikaruga. Since you're the Chieftain, you have a good deal of influence and authority regarding Menagerie and the Faunus who live here. If you agree, not only will Menagerie be a part of the Ikaruga Kingdom. All the Faunus here will be a citizen of Ikaruga. Not to mention that as Chieftain, you will still have authority regarding Menagerie and you will have a council position of the Ikaruga Kingdom." Tenjo explained causing Ghira to have a surprised look on his face
"There are many Faunus who comes to Menagerie to get away from the problems of the Kingdoms. Including but limited to the endless abuse we have to endure just for being a Faunus. What will make Ikaruga any different and what will change if I agree to this?" Ghira asked in a concerned tone
"Ronin-Gai has a zero tolerance policy on discrimination of any kind. There I do acknowledge that some evils does manage to slip my notice. Even more so, once everything becomes finalized. Though with you as a councilor of Ikaruga, I'm confident that you will not only ensure that the Faunus will b treated fairly and equally. Though if the Faunus still wish to remain in Menagerie. They are more than welcomed to do so. As councilor, you can use your authority to ban humans from Menagerie if the circumstances are necessary. Though I doubt it will come to that. Also, I will dedicate resources to make the desert habitable to be lived in. You will all have access to the island that you were given." Tenj explained impressing everyone in the room
"What will happen if I don't agree to this?" Ghira asked
"We'll still work to make the desert habitable. Though you won't be a citizen to Ikaruga. We will still offer a helping hand. Its not in my nature to abandon those in need of help." Tenjo answered
"Does the offer of being an Ikaruga citizen extend to the members of the White Fang as well?" Blake quickly asked getting Ghira's attention
"The situation involving the White Fang is a separate and complicated matter. I personally blame the evils that drove them to such heinous actions. But I can't ignore the crimes they have already committed. The ones who are not deeply involved in their actions will not be punished. But the ones that are in deep will require a different approach." Tenjo answered Blake
"I see, well Lord Tenjo, you have given me a lot to think about. How long do I have to give you my answer?" Ghira asked
"The initial set up to create and establish Ikaruga as a Kingdom is already underway but its still going to require time. Do not worry, ou still have a lot of time to give me your answer. Tora will stay here in Menagerie to look into the situation with the desert. I trust that won't be a problem." Tenjo told Ghira
"Its no problem at all Lord Tenjo, all are welcomed here in Menagerie. I thank you again for your time." Ghira said in a grateful tone before Tenjo started to leave
(Yang's home)
Taiyang has spent the entire morning tending to his garden. There is a part of Taiyang that finds gardening to be a relaxing hobby. As he was gardening, he heard the door open and when he looked. He saw both Yang and Makoto standing side by side to each other. When Taiyang looked further, he saw that Yang put on the mechanical arm that the General has given her. Upon seeing this, he is proud that Yang is getting back her fighting spirit.
"Alright you two, its time to train." Taiyang said ready to train the two girls
(Anima Forest)
After departing from Salem, Relius started the search for Ruby. As he was searching, he received a detailed update from Izanami regarding the state of things. Relius knows that everything is on track regarding Izanami's plans. Though whether or not something can interfere with those plans is another situation altogether. Though he didn't think too long on this. Since it didn't matter and he needed to focus on his current objective. As Relius was checking the trail, a Beowolf Grimm started to approach him.
The masked man didn't seem to care that the Grimm was nearby and held a savage look in its eyes. As Relius was checking a trail, he was near a cloaked figure who looked ready to attack the Grimm. Before the cloaked figure could do anything Relius stopped it.
"Ignis." Relius said before Ignis appeared and grabbed the Beowolf Grimm by its head. After a brief second. Ignis crushed its head with ease and the Grimm dissipated quickly
"I know your ready for combat. But I would prefer it if you were in prime condition and didn't fight unnecessarily." Relius said to the cloaked figure as he was investigation. After a few minutes, Relius stood up and proceeded to walk
"The target isn't too far from here. I know where she's going." Relius said before he started to walk knowing his destination
(The River trail)
It didn't take long for team RBAL to deal with the small group of Grimm they encountered. Bang was able to deal with a couple of Ursa Grimm with a series of quick punches an kicks. Using the wrist blades that's part of his gauntlets. Bullet was able to quickly deal with the Grimm with several energy blasts from her gauntlet. Jaune managed to skillfully cut down the Grimm with his sword and the ones that were at a distance. He threw his shield and was able to knock away the Grimm that were trying to surround him.
Ragna and Lambda, on the other hand was able to deal with the Grimm that tried to attack them much more quickly and effectively. Due in large part to their experience, skills and training. The Ursa Grimm tried to attack Lambda as she was helping Ragna. Seeing the Ursa coming, Lambda was able to avoid the attack and used her dual blades to quickly cut the Ursa down. After cutting down the Ursa, Lambda noticed several small bird Grimm getting ready to attack them. Before they could do anything, Lambda turned her dual swords into guns and proceeded to shoot at the Grimm with skill and precision.
The remaining Grimm were Beowolf and Ragna was able to cut them down quickly. Realizing that they were in danger, the Beowolf decided to converge to Ragna with the intent to kill him. Ragna was able to dodge one of the Beowolf's attack and after doing so. He used the gun blast function on his sword and was able destroy the nearby Grimm with a single blast. After Ragna blasted the Grimm, they see that all of the nearby Grimm dissipated.
"That takes of the Grimm, it wasn't nearly as much as a couple of weeks ago. But we still managed to hold our own." Jaune said as he sheathed his sword
"I agree, as long as we continue this path the Grimm should be easier to deal with. Though that can easily change once we get to the mountains. "Nice to see that your determined, but we still have to be careful. If we have to fight a large group of people that can use aura, then things will no doubt be harder for us." Bullet said before the group continued their way to the mountain. Unknown to all of them, an individual was watching them at a distance using binoculars. The individual that was watching them is dressed in Atlus Military attire and has observed the group. This person is Winter and at seeing the group or more specifically Ragna. She started to mentally formulate a plan
"Its time to bring you in, Ragna the Bloodedge." Winter said to herself in a low tone before she started her pursuit.

The 5th Kingdom of Ikaruga is going to have a crucial role in this story. Ronin-Gai has spent many years gathering the resources needed so that the Kingdom of Ikaruga can be established. It's been stated in RWBY canon that there has been several attempts from different villages to establish there own Kingdom. Ronin-Gai is the one that will likely succeed. Ronin-Gai will still be around even after the Kingdom of Ikaruga is fully established.
In this story, Mai's semblance is called Empathy sense. She can physically feel the emotions of others at all times. Since Noel put a lot of positive feelings towards her cooking. Mai is the only one who can eat Noel's cooking without getting sick. (Which is very hard to do).
The chibi chapter and the fanservice chapter will make there debut soon. What I know for certain is that it will be before I'm done with the volume 4 portion of this story.
