To address a few questions, I've noticed in the comments.
I-No does have a hidden agenda but that will not be revealed for a very long time. Right now working for Terumi helps her out at the moment. Though once a certain date in the story occurs she will leave and make sure she is not found. She is a threat but more for the short term. She does know about Izanami though.
As for whether or not Yang's mistakes will be called out on. That is another spoiler but I will confirm this much. Don't expect the issues between Ragna and Yang to be resolved in one chapter. There is a lot to go through between the two.
Also Ragna didn't forget to tell Weiss that Nu is his sister. He chose not to tell her because he is still processing that fact and he feels guilty for not being able to save her at Beacon before she got away.
Chapter 75 Up to speed
(The Mistral House)
Ever since the large group arrived in Mistral, everything has been at a standstill in terms of taking significant action. The majority of the group spent time training near the house so they can be prepared for whatever may occur. While the remainder of the group spent time in the City of Mistral for something to do. The problem is that nothing was really being done in the grand scheme of thing because none of them have a plan of any kind. With Professor Lionheart's hand being tied and Ragna still missing after the attack from Hakumen. The actions that the large group can take is surprising limited. Especially since they don't have any kind of plan.
"This is ridiculous, we know that the Maiden is with the Branwen Tribe. All we need to do is observe the area so we can identify who it is and retrieve her." Jin said in an anxious tone
"You hear the Professor and Uncle Qrow, without support we'll be overwhelmed before we can do anything. Besides we don't even know who the Spring Maiden is." Ruby told Jin
"I didn't say we go in without a plan. We bring those among us who are capable of stealth and recon. Then we spend time observing the tribe until we can identify the Spring Maiden. Once we confirm who she is, we will be able to capture her if we act quickly and decisively." Jin explained to the group
"But Qrow told us that the Maidens are exceptionally powerful. There is a decent chance that we can get overwhelmed before we can do anything significant." Ren told Jin
"If Cinder and her lackeys can take half the power of a fully realized Maiden. Then we should stand a very decent chance at capture. Besides, when I fought Cinder when she had half the powers of a Maiden. My own power proved to be essential." Jin stated to the group
"I understand that you have a strong desire to do good for the Kingdom. But I'm afraid that there is too much we don't know and we could unintentionally make things worse." Bang tried to tell Jin
"You, one of the loudest people I've ever met is trying to tell me to exercise caution. While Ruby of all people is saying we need a plan. The irony alone is enough to make me sick." Jin said out loud which angered some of the people in the room. Most notable, Nora and e Bullet
"I know how you feel, but we don't have the luxury of being reckless. If we do get the Spring Maiden. What will we do once we get the relic. Without a solid idea we'll just be falling into whatever trap Salem has for us." Jaune briefly explained to Jin
"Then how much longer are we going to stay here an twiddle our thumbs. Maintaining our training will do no good if we don't do anything with it. By now, Salem likely knows about the failed attacks. Which means that she either knows or suspects that we're here. The sooner we take action, the less of a chance Salem has to correct her mistakes." Jin explained to the group
"I see your point, but we have to trust Uncle Qrow. Just give him a bit more time and I'm sure we can figure something out." Ruby said as a knock came to the door. Once the knock was heard, everyone started to arm themselves and walked slowly towards the door. Suddenly the door opened up and they all saw a young boy dressed in farmers clothes. When everyone took a closer look at him, they saw that he was just as shocked to see them as they was to see him.
"Excuse me little boy, but are you perhaps lost?" Bang asked in a concerned tone
"I was just told to come here." Oscar asked
"Alright then who told you to come here. Your answer better be the truth or else." Bullet aggressively told Oscar causing him to be nervous
"Bullet did you really have to scare him?" Nora bluntly asked
"We were all attacked by a variety of mysterious people. If we don't stay on our guard. Then we'll be good as dead, a little caution won't hurt anyone." Bullet said as she started to face Oscar again
"Now talk, who was the one who told you to come here?" Bullet aggressively asked again
"It was some old guy who reeked of alcohol." Oscar answered in a slightly panicked tone
"Some old guy . . . . . oh no." Ruby muttered before Qrow leaned through the doorway
"Hey everyone, we made it back and I've come bearing good news." Qrow said in a very noticeable drunken tone
"Uncle Qrow, did you drink too much again?" Ruby asked in a concerned tone
"Yes I did niece, but this time I was celebrating. Because I now have the answers to our problems." Qrow said in an inebriated tone
"Its hard to trust a plan when you've found it at the bottom of a bottle." Jin bluntly said which annoyed Qrow.
"Hey, I did find a good solution and just so you know. It wasn't at the bottom of bottle. Go on kid, tell them who you are." Qrow said while hovering over the kid
"Well, my name is Oscar Pine and well . . ." Oscar nervously said
"Wait for it . . . ." Qrow anxiously said to the group before Oscar spoke further
"I'm also Ozpin." Oscar also said nervously while Qrow silently celebrated
"Tada, it's like I said. Our problems we finally got some good fortune coming our way." Qrow drunkenly said before he fell down on the couch
"Is he going to be alright?" Bang asked
"Don't worry, he gets like that all the time. Right now, we should just wait until he wakes up so we can go over the whole Ozpin thing." Ruby said before she covered up Qrow with a blanket
(Menagerie Plaza)
It was a surprise for Ghira to see Sienna Khan after a great deal of time. Though what surprised him further is that Sienna is supposedly taking Adam's side in the situation with the White Fang. Ghira has long held onto the belief that despite him and Sienna not seeing eye to eye on certain matters with the White Fang. He knew that at the core of it. The both of them wanted the same thing. Which is peace and prosperity for the Faunus.
"Sienna, I know that we have conflicting views regarding the White Fang. But surely you can see that Adam's actions is a far cry from everything that you've hoped for." Ghira told Sienna
"Don't get the wrong idea Ghira, I do not condone Adam's attack on Beacon. However, after giving his actions some thought. As well as hearing other varies points of views. I've come to realize that even though his actions were careless. Adam made a significant impact that the Kingdoms will never forget. An impact that shows that the Faunus will not just endure the torment the humans have given us." Sienna stated to Ghira before Blake spoke up
"Sienna Khan, with all due respect Adam's attack has made things worse for everyone. Not only has the humans died, but many other Faunus have died as well. Adam is no better than the humans who have oppressed us for years." Blake stated to Sienna causing Adam to chuckle at the state
"Those who would fight to aid the humans in our oppression are those who do not deserve our mercy. They are the real traitor to the cause, they would see the humans drive us to extinction than to join our fight for our rightful place in the world." Adam stated to Blake
"But at what cost Adam, our brethren have been hunted down and abused for years. But your actions have made things worse for both the humans and the Faunus." Ghira stated to Adam
"Things have been terrible for years even before I took action. Your bleeding heart delusions prevents you from seeing that." Adam said to Ghira before he started to address the nearby crowd
"The Island of Menagerie is seen by many humans as a gesture of good will. Yet the truth is that this is nothing more than proof of the humans giving us their scraps. Two-thirds of this island is uninhabitable while the rest of the world is claimed by the humans who have continued to oppress us. Many of our Faunus brothers and sisters have been hunted down just for living within the other Kingdoms. How many of us have come to this Island because the humans have driven out of the Kingdoms?" Adam asked the crowd
"I have." One of the Faunus have said
"Me too." Another Faunus said
"My family kept getting assaulted." Another Faunus said with more and more starting to state that they've been driven out of the Kingdoms
"This is what the humans have done to our kind. Driving us out of the Kingdoms, but not out of prejudice. It is out of fear, because we can do things the humans can do and so much more. They need to learn to fear the Faunus." Adam stated to everyone which the crowd started to mutter in slight agreement
"This is nothing more than subjugation, we will only be continue the cycle of pain and destruction. A cycle that you have enforced with everything you've done." Ghira told Adam
"Oh really, then I'm sure that you can explain something to me. Why is it that the humans have increased their assault against the Faunus? Not because of the Fall of Beacon, but because of their fear for the Beast of Remnant." Adam stated to Ghira
"The increased attacks against the Faunus because of the Beast of Remnant is tragic and cannot be excused. But the humans are only taking drastic actions because they are afraid and don't know what to do. We must show patience and tolerance if we are to have a chance to correct things." Ghira responded to Adam
"The humans have scrutinized the Faunus for years. How many of us had to hide who we are because of the humans?" Adam asked the crowd
"I DID!" Ilia said as she emerged from the crowd and got everyone's attention
"Ilia." Sun muttered
"Oh no." Blake muttered as well
"My family were forced to work in the Dust Mines! All they wanted for me was to live in the so-called City of dreams while wanting better for me! YET NOBODY CARED WHEN MY PARENTS WERE KILLED! THEY ALL LAUGHED AND SAID A FEW LESS ANIMALS IN THE WORLD TO FEED! WHERE IS THE JUSTICE FOR THEM, FOR ALL OF US!?" Ilia yelled to the crowd with many more agreeing with her
"Ilia isn't the only Faunus who had to hide who she is because of the judgmental nature of the humans. Isn't that right . . . . Blake." Adam said while drawing a lot of attention to Blake before he continued to talk
"Did you honestly think I wouldn't notice you using your bow to hide your cat ears Blake? What did you think you would accomplish by deceiving the humans? All you did was prove that you don't fully believe in what you and your family have been saying." Adam explained further causing the crowd to speak even further among themselves.
"I knew the humans would find a way to judge me. But if I was to be judged, I wanted it to be for my actions and not for who I am." Blake said defending herself from Adam's statement
"The humans will always find a reason, even an excuse to see you as a liar. You don't need that bow because you are among our kind. Which further proves my point. You don't fully believe in your own deluded sense of peace." Adam spoke further causing Ghira to quickly speak up
"Listen, I know that things haven't been fair for the Faunus. I also know that wrong has been done by both sides. But peace takes time and if we try to force a shortcut. It will only make things worse for everyone. You still need to be held accountable for your role in the attack Adam." Ghira told Adam
"I see that your still determined to redeem the humans after everything they've done to us. So tell me, can the humans be redeemed after seeing this?" Adam said before stopped speaking to take off his mask
When the entirety of the Crowd saw Adam's face. Many of them shared various looks of discomfort. They all see the very noticeable scar on Adam's face and what makes the scar stand out even more. Is the very clear SDC brand on his face. Seeing this made Blake wince because it is a brief but powerful reminder as to where Adam's rage towards the humans originated from.
"The Humans sees us as their property, nothing more than their own tools. They see us as animals and will kill us with any excuse they can think of. Another proof of this is the infamous Beast-Wall Tactic! So I ask you all, how much more do we need to endure before we say enough. The humans have made the first move, now we will show them the same suffering that they have showed us." Adam stated before he put his mask back on to the cheer of the audience
"Adam, you can't do whatever you whatever you want because of what's been done to you. If this continues it will be a never-ending war. It's bad enough that the humans are hunting down the Faunus because of their fears of the Beast of Remnant. But if you keep doing this, everything will be worse. You need to stop all of this before it gets to that point." Blake explained to Adam
"I see that even after all of this. You and your friends and family are still trying to have us live alongside the humans. To show that I am not the monster that you would have others believe. I am willing to give you the gift of time. You all have 4 months to come and fight for the right side. If you still maintain your beliefs once that time passes. Then for your sake, stay out of our way." Adam stated to Blake causing Ghira to angrily speak up
"You have the gall to threaten my daughter Adam?" Ghira angrily said before Sienna spoke up
"You should remember by now Ghira, the White Fang don't make idle threats." Sienna said before the undercover members in the audience used various smoke bombs to distort everyone's sights. The large smoke lingered for a few more minutes before it fully dissipated. Once the smoke was gone, Adam, Sienna, and along with the hidden White Fang members were gone. Which also includes the twins Corsac and Fennec.
"Find and apprehend them!" Ghira commanded his guards before they left
"What in the world just happened?" Sun bluntly asked
"Things had just gotten a lot harder Sun." Blake somberly responded before they left with Tao to find the White Fang members
(The House)
Oscar had sat in the living room in an awkward silence for what felt like hours. Even though he was given a great deal of hospitality, he still felt a great deal of tension in the air. This tension makes him glad that Izana his mysterious companion had gotten herself set up elsewhere. Because in a situation like this, anything can happen.
"Just so I'm understanding things clearly. Your name is Oscar and you have another soul within your body. The other soul just happens to be Professor Ozpin." Ruby told Oscar
"Well that's the gist of it. To be honest I'm still trying to understand all of it myself." Oscar responded
"He's probably possessed." Nora quickly said
"Or reincarnated." Ren said as well
"Maybe it's a new semblance." Bang said
"He's aged backwards." Jaune added in
"It's more complicated than that everyone." Qrow said as he came from the other room with a drink in hand
"What do you mean uncle Qrow?" Ruby asked
"For starters, I know that this is all overwhelming to you all. But remember that this is overwhelming for everyone." Qrow stated causing the rest of the group to have a quick realization and suddenly moved back away from him
"Thank you." Oscar told Qrow in a grateful tone before he awkwardly looked at everyone else
"Sorry about this, its just that I've never met Huntsman and Huntresses before. So this is all a bit overwhelming for me." Oscar told everyone
"Well we've never met someone who can be a whole different person before. So I supposed that we're all being overwhelmed in some way." Ruby awkwardly said before she lightly chuckled. A brief second later Oscar looked around the room and noticed Jin in his white armor
"I know who you are, you're the Hero of Vale Jin Kisaragi. It's an honor to meet you. It's also cool how your armor makes you look like Hakumen." Oscar said in a happy tone
"Looks like you have another fan Jin." Ren said causing Jin to look away before Qrow cleared his throat
"I hate to stop this meet and greet. But there are a few things we need to talk about. So if you wouldn't mind using your special trick." Qrow said before he took another drink
"Sure, I supposed you should speak with him. Just don't make me do anything embarrassing. Also another thing you should know, I will still be here." Oscar said before he took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. A few moments later, Oscar's body glowed green before he opened them.
"Um, Oscar are you OK" Ruby asked in a curious tone
"What do you think happened to him?" Jaune asked
"I can't explain it, but I still feel young Oscar's presence. But at the same time, it feels like we're in the presence of an entirely different individual." Bang said as he observed Oscar
"Oscar's body has been completely overtaken by a separate individual. The person who is presently before us is different from Oscar." Lambda said in an analytic tone causing everyone to look at Oscar with a shocked expression
"That is a very accurate way of describing it. It's so good to see all of my students again. I know that this is all a bit strange to you" Ozpin told everyone which shocked them
"Strange, weird, abnormal, bizarre, creepy, you know just to name a few terms." Nora quickly stated
"I see that you haven't lost your sense of humor Nora. I also see that you all have embodied the spirit of Beacon and stuck together while making some new friends." Ozpin told everyone
"Sticking by our friends is a noble endeavor Headmaster. Make no mistake I will trust these guys with my life without hesitation." Bang told Ozpin
"That is quite reassuring Bang, especially since many of you have had to endure such hardships. I'm sorry for everything, but everything regarding Salem is entirely my fault." Ozpin said in a somber tone
"Jubei said the same thing the last time I saw him. He came and tried to shoulder the blame for everything Terumi did. But just as it wasn't his fault for what Terumi did. It's not your fault for everything that's happening." Ruby told Ozpin in a reassuring tone
"I thank you for your words of comfort Ruby. But our sense of guilt is greater than you think. You see, my reincarnation is a curse, bestowed upon me for failing to stop Salem over a thousand years ago. As for Jubei, he blames himself because he believes that if he were more vigilant. Terumi wouldn't have caused as much destruction as he did. Qrow told me that many of you had fought him. Rest assured, the fact that you all are alive is nothing short of a miracle." Ozpin explained to everyone
"I know, it feels like that if he wanted to kill us. He would have done it without even trying." Ruby said with a thoughtful look
"I get that you've been reincarnating for a long time. But with everything that's been going on. What do we do about our current problems now?" Jaune asked
"Regarding Salem, our first priority should be to keep the Relic out of her reach. Which is done by ensuring its safety above everything else." Ozpin answered
"What should we do about Terumi? He's someone we can't really ignore." Ren asked
"Terumi is a special matter, normally I would consult with Jubei about what to do with him. But since that option is unavailable to us. We're going to have to think of a few solutions." Ozpin responded
"How long have you and Jubei known each other?" Ruby asked
"For a few years, Jubei had a run in with one of Salem's lieutenants and from there. He was able to track me down and learn more about Salem and the inner circle. We didn't tell each other everything, but we did keep each other informed regarding certain topics. He has a good gist of the facts regarding Salem. While he kept me informed about Terumi and the Grimm Aura." Ozpin explained before he looked at Qrow
"I'm sorry Qrow, I would have told you about him. But Jubei demanded that I keep the fact that I know him a secret. I thought it was because he was overly cautious, but certain authorities within the Kingdoms that want the Six Heroes dead. Does invoke some form of caution." Ozpin told Qrow
"I understand, with certain circumstances you need to keep a few secrets." Qrow responded
"Did you give Ragna any special treatment because of who his master is?" Jin bluntly asked Ozpin
"No Jin, everything Ragna has done was of his own merit. Rest assured, if I gave Ragna special treatment of any kind. I'm certain that his grades would be a bit more . . . . standard." Ozpin answered before he continued
"Still, with Salem we have an idea of what she wants. But we have no way of figuring out what Terumi is after. The only thing we know is that he has an interest in the Grimm Aura and the Three Azures." Ozpin said in a thoughtful tone
"Knowing the location of two out of the Three Azures is good steppingstone. But that creates another problem. Terumi knows about it too, and now he and Relius knows about the Eye of Blue." Qrow chimed in
"This does create one unintended silver lining. If I had to hazard guess, I suspect that Salem doesn't know the full details regarding the Three Azures." Ozpin said
"What makes you say that Professor?" Ruby asked
"Qrow told me everything he learned about the Three Azures. From everything I know, I believe that the Three Azures are more powerful than the Relics. If Salem knew everything, then she would make retrieving the Three Azures a top priority. Otherwise, Relius would have abducted Noel instead of forcing her into a coma. This does give us a surprising amount of breathing room though." Ozpin told everyone
"That means we have a plan, we were in a dead end. With a lot of worry about our futures, but now we can take actions to protect Mistral." Nora energetically said with Bang following suite
"While upholding the ideals of protecting the innocent as fellow defenders of peace and justice." Bang said matching Nora's enthusiasm
"Two peas in a pod those two huh?" Ren asked Bullet in a low tone
"Yep." Bullet responded
"I'm afraid its not going to be as simple as that." Ozpin said in a reluctant tone
"Why is that, aside from the issue regarding Terumi. We have a solid idea on what to do." Ren stated
"The main reason is Leo, he is ignoring very clear and precise instructions. I don't want to jump to conclusions but there are certain things I can't rule out either." Ozpin answered to Ren
"You believe that he's been turned." Jin bluntly said causing everyone to look at him with a shocked expression
"Again, I can't rule out certain possibilities. But it would be better if we air on the side of caution for the moment." Ozpin said to everyone
"I like that, play our cards close to the chest until we get the full story from all sides." Qrow said in agreement
"Another thing, it goes without saying. But I believe it will be best if we keep my recent reincarnation a secret. Along with what we know about Noel having the Eye of Blue." Ozpin said before he continued further
"Another thing, I know that you all might not like it. But I believe that when the situation allows it. We should look into finding Ragna." Ozpin said causing several people to be visibly disturbed by the idea. Most noticeable of this is Nora
"I know that there is a great deal of concern regarding Ragna. But it would be better if he was with us. Instead of out there in the unknown, where he's vulnerable to Salem's influence. Where he could be captured, persuaded to join her, or worse killed by Nu and resurrect the Black Beast as a result." Ozpin explained to everyone
"Professor, since you've been reincarnating for a long time. Do you know what the days of the Black Beast was like?" Ren asked in a curious tone
"I do Ren, though at the time I did not know its true name. It was quite frankly a terrifying experience. Many Villages would get destroyed in the blink of an eye. While countless people would die with a high body count everyday. There's a very good reason why people want to forget about the days of the beast." Ozpin told Ren
"So what do we need to do now? We can't just sit by and twiddle our fingers until further notice." Jaune told Ozpin
"Your right Jaune, fortunately I know the next steps that are ahead of us. The first thing we need to do is gather more Huntsman and Huntresses." Ozpin told everyone
"It's going to be hard to get more people's help. Especially since their going to be kept in the dark about all of this." Bullet told Ozpin
"We'll deal with those when its time. Fortunately, the Mistral Council doesn't own all the Huntsman and Huntresses. As long as you know where to look, I'll get a list together and get started tomorrow." Qrow told everyone
"Mind if I tag along, I've got some experience with recruitment from my old Commander?" Bullet asked
"No need, this is more of a solo thing." Qrow answered to Bullet
"As for the second step, we all need to start training. Since I was the Headmaster of Beacon, I know that I can teach you all a few things." Ozpin told everyone before he backflipped to stand on the edge of a chair
"But we already know how to fight." Ruby said
"I said training, not teaching you how to fight. After all, even though its clear you've all have grown stronger. I know that there is still room for improvements, which is why tomorrow we will go ever everything we can and improve on what's necessary." Ozpin said
"Lord Tenjo has been diligent in our training in Ronin-Gai. It will be an honor for you to teach us further Headmaster." Bang told Ozpin
"It will be a delight to teach you Bang, fortunately my training regimen will not be as intense as Baiken's. Qrow has given me a general idea of what he knows of your strengths. So I have some idea of what to expect. Before I forget . . ." Ozpin said before he looked at Jin
"Jin will be helping us with training in terms of advisory." Ozpin told everyone causing them to have a shocked expression
"Hold on Professor, we have to have Jin. Pain in our butts with a nasty attitude to help train us. Why can't Qrow teach us, he may be a bit grumpy but he is still more qualified." Nora said in a tone of disbelief
"I happen to agree with the decision. Out of all of you Jin is the most skilled out of everyone. Not to mention that there isn't much we can teach him that will be meaningful. Besides, I'll be busy with a few other things and there are a lot of you here." Qrow answered
"Precisely, with so many of you, having both me and Jin train you all will not only be more manageable. But Jin's training will help prepare you all for other users of the Nox Nyctores. Which will no doubt be invaluable in the long run. Though in some cases, learn how to use them proper." Ozpin said as he and everyone else glanced at Bang and his giant nail. Causing the muscular young man to chuckle in slight embarrassment
"So I will be taking on the role of a combat instructor. This isn't something I'm looking forward to with enthusiasm." Jin coldly told Ozpin
"I know, but your impressive array of skill can be essential for many who are willing to learn from you. I see that it has done wonders for Jaune and I believe that it can be helpful to many others. You're the only one with enough skills out of the students who can pose any real threat to Salem. Besides, even though Oscar is letting use his body. His own body still needs to get stronger along with his aura." Ozpin told everyone
"Wait, I have to go through intense training too?" Oscar mentally told Ozpin
"Indeed, Like I said before the training will not be as intense as Baiken's training towards Bang. But don't expect me to go easy on any of you. I also don't expect Jin to go easy on any of us. Since the students will return in roughly two months. That will give us some tome to start training. It will be ideal for Salem to attack with as less attention as possible. So knowing her. She will take action before the students return. Two months does seem like ample time. But anything can happen and we need to be prepared." Ozpin said before the body flashed green and Oscar regained control of his body. After control was returned to Oscar, he tried to maintain balance but he fell as a result
"Oh man." Oscar said in an embarrassed tone
(The Mistral Forest)
Yang has been riding on her motorcycle with Makoto and Shay in tow. Under most circumstances, Yang would never have believed Shay's claim that he can lead them to the Branwen camp which will lead them to Raven. However, this is the best lead that Yang has and time is something that neither Yang and Makoto do not want to waste. Not to mention that Shay is a bandit and that means that there is a solid chance that his claims are true.
"How much longer do we need to go?" Yang asked
"It's still a ways away from here. But we'll get there before you know it." Shay said with a hidden smirk
"I hope your telling the truth about taking us to the Branwen Camp. Because I really don't want to have to beat you up for wasting our time." Makoto told Shay
"Hey I'm telling the truth, we really are going to get to the Branwen Camp. In fact, I have a feeling that we'll be seeing more members of the Branwen tribe soon." Shay said before they all noticed someone standing in the road causing Yang to stop
"Hey, can you get out of the way. We're kinda in a bit of a rush here." Yang told the stranger before more people appeared and Shay got off the motorcycle.
"Don't worry, there all with me." Shay said with a noticeable grin on his face
"Oh a trap, what a surprise." Makoto said in a deadpan tone
"You want the Branwen tribe, well you got us. Since you gave me a hard time, your bike and all your money will serve as a nice bit of compensation." Shay said
"Well you got us what we wanted, so we can't be too mad. But we can't just let you rob us." Yang said before she counted the bandits
"I count 7, so only one of us will be enough." Yang told Makoto before they faced each other
"Rock, paper, scissor, shoot." Yang and Makoto said repeatedly before they stopped and Yang had Rock while Makoto had paper.
"Yes, I win." Makoto said in a happy tone
"What are you two doing, trying to decide who will beg for forgiveness first?" Shay asked in a mocking tone
"Nope, deciding who gets to take you all on. Though from what I'm seeing, its not much of a fair fight. Maybe if its 20 of you guys, then things will be a bit more even." Makoto boasted to the bandits
"You cheeky little girl." Shay said before one of the bandits tried to attack Makoto with a sword
Seeing the bandit coming, Makoto did a brief sidestep and avoided the attack. After avoiding the attack, she proceeded to kick the bandit and was able to launch him far. After the bandit was launched, one of the other bandits tried to shoot Makoto. Reacting quickly, Makoto proceeded to avoid the gunshots with relative ease by continuously strafing towards the gunner. The moment Makoto got close to the gunner, she landed several quick jabs against the gunner and was able to knock her down.
After knocking down one of the bandits, Makoto noticed that she was near a few of the other bandits and they tried to attack her. Thinking quickly, Makoto curled the tip of her tail and was able to attack each of the bandits and managed to hurt them enough to stun them for a bit. This gave Makoto enough time to deliver several strong punches and knocked the both of them out.
Once the bandits saw Makoto knock out several more of their own members. They proceeded to blast at her hoping that they could knock her out with a good shot. Unfortunately for them, Makoto avoided the gunshots and while doing so, brought out one of her dust marbles and punched it towards the group. When the dust marble made impact, the group was electrocuted and before long they all landed on the ground unconscious.
The only ones that were left were Shay and a female bandit. The female bandit charged towards Makoto while Shay shot at her with is revolver. Makoto proceeded to charge as well, but before she got too close. Makoto did a strong jump and created three separate after images that were moving. The three after images surprised the two bandits and they proceeded to shoot an image each. The machete bandit attacked an image and it went through. Shay shot another image and the gunshots went through as well. The third moving after image landed and it was Makoto herself.
The instant Makoto landed, she curled up the tip of her tail again and knocked the bandit into a tree. While using her fist to punch Shay into a different tree. Once Makoto was done, she looked around the area and clasped her hands in a satisfactory way.
"So what do you think?" Makoto asked Yang
"You used your dust marble and there was no finesse. I'll give it an 8 out of 10." Yang said in a confident and jocking tone tone
"Hey that was a 10 out of 10 beatdown and you know it." Makoto argued before they heard Shay chuckle
"You two are screwed, even if you get to the Camp. It won't be long before you two are as good as dead." Shay said in a mocking tone
"Oh really, then where is the Camp?" Yang asked
"It's that way, but I'm telling you for your own good." Shay told Yang
"A little too late to care for our own well being don't you think?" Makoto told Shay the bandit
"The Tribe won't take too kindly to the fact that you fought one of their own." Shay told Yang and Makoto in a confident tone
"Well I'm sure we'll be fine. After all, Raven Branwen is my mother." Yang told Shay
"Oh crap, well even if Raven and the tribe doesn't deal with you two. Her recent capture will definitely kill you two." Shay said maintaining his confidence
"Now what makes you say that?" Makoto asked in a curious tone
"Because a few days ago, Raven was able to capture the Beast of Remnant. So that means you two are screwed. Hehehehe." Shay said before he chuckled further
"The Beast of Remnant." Yang angrily said before she balled her fist up and started to remember everything that happened at Beacon regarding Ragna and the time they fought each other. As the images of their fight flashed in Yang's mind. She walked towards Shay and started to lift him up his shirt and glared at him with red eyes
"IS HE STILL THERE, TELL ME!" Yang angrily yelled at the Bandit
"Yang, you need to calm down." Makoto said despite her words falling on deaf ears
"I'm telling the truth, before I left the camp I heard he was waking up. Unless something happened he should still be there. I'm telling you the truth that's all I know. I haven't been back in hours." Shay said in a panicked tone causing Yang to drop him and get back on her motorcycle
"Come on Makoto." Yang said as Makoto got on the bike with her
"Why do you want to see the Beast of Remnant?" Shay asked
"It'll be better if you didn't know." Makoto said as Yang drove off with Makoto in tow
"Yang, I know your still mad, but you could have killed him. You need to have a bit more restraint." Makoto told Yang in a concerned tone
"When I see Ragna, that's when you can worry about my self-control." Yang said with her red eyes as they were driving towards their destination

"Cute boy Ozpin training us I can deal with. But I do not want that self-centered pain in my butt training us." Nora stated to the group
"I know Jin can be very . . . . hard to deal with. But he is the most skilled out of all of us. Besides, maybe training against his Nox Nyctores can help us prepare against other Nox Nyctores users." Ruby said trying to defend against the idea
"Oh really, he acts as if he has a right to be in charge of us. Not to mention, he's cold and heartless. Or did you forget what he did to Penny?" Nora stated before she realized what she said
"I'm sorry Ruby, its just that . . . ." Nora said before Ruby spoke up
"I know Nora, but we have to be better with every option we have." Ruby told Nora
"Besides, he there are ways we can improve and if Jin can help us then what's the harm. He lightened up a bit so he is a bit more manageable." Ren told everyone
"Well what do you think Jaune?" Nora asked
"I think I should take a walk for a bit." Jaune said before he quickly stepped out of the room
"That means he agrees with me." Nora stated before her and the group got out of earshot. As Jaune was walking, he overheard a voice that sounds like its coming through a transmission and he started to eavesdrop and look over the corner. When Jaune looked, he saw Lambda talking to a pink haired cat Faunus through a hologram.
"Is that the person who sent Lambda to us?" Jaune mentally asked himself before he listened to the conversation
"I see, so Ozpin has reincarnated, it normally takes him a bit longer but for him to do it this early is a surprise." The voice said
"Does this change my mission objectives Kokonoe?" Lambda asked
"No, for now just keep an eye on things. That old man is right about one thing though, the cowardly lion has turned but knowing he's a traitor and proving he's a traitor are two different things. It's nice to know your not led by idiots so for now maintain guard." Kokonoe instructed
"What about the Eye of Blue?" Lambda asked
"I'll see if Tager can do something about that. Ironwood closing the Border is making things a pain. Worst case scenario, I'll set it up where its easier to keep an eye on her. Though if Terumi is involved I don't want to leave things to chance." Kokonoe told Lambda
"What of Relius?" Lambda asked
"That sneaky son of a bitch has always been hard to pin down. For now, orders regarding him are on standby. But if you see him, take him out." Kokonoe told Lambda
"Affirmative, what about the Relic and the Maiden?" Lambda asked
"Let them deal with it, I'm more concerned about the Three Azures and the Grimm Aura. But until we're in a stronger position, we can't really do much. Still I don't feel right having Ragna out there with no idea of whether or not he's with Salem or Terumi. A silver lining to this is that my suspicions are correct. If Salem knew the full story about the Three Auzres. We'll all be in deep shit if she did. Her immortality does make her a pain in the ass to deal with. At least she's not trying to kill Jin, and Hakumen failing to kill Ragna gives some breathing room." Kokonoe told Lambda
"Immortality?" Jaune silently muttered to himself
"Is there anything else?" Lambda asked
"Yeah, an old pain in the ass has finally been sighted in Mistral and I have a few details that confirms his location. But before I give you those details, your semblance and the sensors are picking up a rat that's eavesdropping. So why don't you go and see who it is." Kokonoe said much to Jaune's shock causing him to try to run away. Unfortunately, Lambda was able to catch up to him and point her sword at him. While Lambda was pointing her sword at Jaune, the holographic image of Kokone popped up
"Jaune Arc, leader of team JNPR who got in with some fake transcripts. Damn I was hoping for something a bit more impressive." Kokonoe said in a disappointed tone while looking at Jaune
"How did you . . ." Jaune said trying to reach for his scroll
"Don't bother calling for help. I did some remote hacking and your scroll won't be sending out any calls. Besides I'm not a threat, I'm not associated with that hag and that snake. Still, a broken clock is right twice a day and you might be useful." Kokonoe muttered before Jaune spoke up
"What are you . . ." Jaune said before Kokonoe spoke up
"Quiet boy, your about to be useful for once. I'm going to talk and you're going to use that peanut you call a brain to listen and understand. Make a lot of noise or say something stupid that gets on my nerves. Or tempt me in any way and I will have Lambda slice you up and make it look like a bandit attack. Are we clear?" Kokonoe stated to Jaune
"Yes ma'am." Jaune said in a nervous tone
"Good, now soon a mission will show up on the board and you and Lambda are going to accept that mission." Kokonoe said before she started explain a few things about the upcoming mission to Jaune

One of the biggest deviations from canon is not only having Sienna alive. But also have Adam's face reveal early and there is a good reason. For Adam's early face reveal, the main reason it was done is to show the Faunus of Menagerie who are tired of everything the humans have put them through. Is that the humans cannot be redeemed and that there are the true monsters. So if an island full of the Faunus who are wary of humans sees proof of an inhumane act. Then it will help get Adam's point across that the humans needs to be dealt with. While also give him a chance to discredit the Belladonna by pointing out that Blake has lied to the humans as well.
As for Sienna, RWBY canon makes it clear that she wants humanity to know that the Faunus won't be mistreated without fighting back. The problem is that the White Fang has made no impact as far as Atlus. Which feels like a missed opportunity because from everything I've watched, it was the one Kingdom that needed to display that. So both Azrael and Adam managed to convince Sienna to give Adam a chance to prove that his method will work. Especially since the Faunus are being hunted down more than usual because of Beast-Ragna's attack.
I know that there has been a few complaints about Adam being a bit hammy in this story. But please keep in mind that my aim is to prevent him from having yandere traits towards Blake. I see what canon tried to do, but I don't think it was handled that well. Which motivated me to change a few things with Adam from canon. One of my plans is to write him with combined traits of Killmonger from Black Panther and Demona from Gargoyles.
