Toshinori Yagi was pissed.
A stupid meeting about one for all had kept him busy from the moment he stepped onto the campus to when Young Iida had burst into the meeting room, eyes wide and terrified as he shouted.
"VILLAINS AT THE USJ!"
At that point he immediately took off, running as fast as his newly healed body would allow him, he still had a few hours left before he strained himself.
More than enough time to deal with these villains.
He burst through the front doors, shouting his usual catchphrase before he froze, his eyes gazing over the injured thirteen, his students looking absolutely terrified even as they raised their heads in hope at his entrance.
His blood boiled when he saw Kirishima and Bakugo; Kirishima looked like he was breaking apart, cracks covered his body, sluggishly bleeding, Bakugo was missing his right arm, a bloody stump all that was left; Mina and Uraraka were doing their best to help the boys while Midoriya…
...midoriya was unconscious, a pair of brilliant white wings splayed out underneath her, Tsuyu, Sero and Mineta were tearfully watching her.
"Get them out." All Might ordered, tearing his tie off as he strode forward, "protect them until the other teachers get here, you all did amazing." With a deep breath All Might shot off, punches sending villains flying until he reappeared beside Abe and Aizawa, "I'm sorry Aizawa, Sensei, I've failed both of you."
"Nothing to do about it now Toshi." Abe rumbled, absentmindedly holding his side, "that Nomu took me on at full strength, almost killed me."
"And the blue haired villain has a decay quirk." Aizawa reported, keeping his eyes on the man.
"Thank you, my friends, now go protect the students, I will end this."
"About time you showed up All Might," Shigaraki sneered, gaining the number one hero's full attention, "I was worried we'd have to kill more kids before you showed up."
All Might felt his anger spike, he didn't pause to monologue as he may have done countless other times, instead, he shot forward, fist aimed right for the hand on the man's face, his eyes narrowed and sharpened when the Nomu was suddenly taking the blow, sliding back a few feet from the force of the punch, "so you're the one who hurt my students?" he growled.
"That's right, he also punched a hole in the former number one before the healer showed up." Shigaraki sneered, taking a step back to gather himself from All Might's attack, "Not even trying to negotiate? Oh how the mighty have fallen."
"You've lost the right to negotiation when you attacked my students!" All Might snapped, slamming his fist into the Nomu's jaw, it didn't even flinch from the powerful attack and instead shot it's own fist out and sent All Might skidding across the courtyard, his crossed forearms smoking from the hit, "young Kirishima and Bakugo went against this?"
"Meet the bio-engineered Nomu," Shigaraki laughed, "specifically designed to kill-"
*BOOM!*
Shigaraki's eyes widened as Nomu went flying, crashing into the side of the USJ, it's body broken and deformed.
"Your little 'assault' ends here villain." All Might growled, darting forward once again to deliver a finishing blow on Shigaraki, only for the Nomu to once again appear and take the low powered hit, "You should be down already!"
"Nomu! Kill All-Might!" Shigaraki commanded as Kurogiri transported him away from the main fight.
The Nomu screeched as its body rapidly healed, the monster charged forward to hit All-Might with a blisteringly powerful fist.
But All-Might was angry, and he didn't have time to waste fighting this thing. He easily slipped under the punch and delivered his own to the things stomach, this time it was shot into the air, All Might jumping after it.
"If you think something as weak as this can stop me-" All Might began, appearing above the thing and bringing his hands together, bringing them down on the things back and sending it crashing into the ground, All Might hot on it's heels, landing on the cracked concrete as it's body seemed to bounce slightly back into the air from the impact, "DETROOOOOIIIIT-"
"SMAAAAAAAAAASH!" He roared, an uppercut slamming into the things jaw and once again sending it flying into and then through the dome of the USJ, "hmm, my strength…it's like i was back in my prime once more…" he thought to himself, looking at his clenched fist with a small smile before a stab of pain shot through his stomach, making him grunt and untense from the punch.
His old wound may not be there anymore, but that didn't mean he couldn't still feel the pain of straining himself.
"You…you cheated…"
All Might turned his sharp gaze to Shigaraki as the man started to furiously scratch at his neck, "You CHEATED! THE NOMU WAS ENGINEERED TO KILL YOU AT YOUR STRONGEST! YOU CHEATED! SENSEI LIED! YOU'RE NOT WEAK AT ALL-" shigaraki stopped as he felt a heavy wave of killing intent suddenly strike him, All-Mights gist was already squarely planted in his stomach, sending him flying back into the side of the mountain zone, kurogiri having been blown back by the wind pressure.
"IS THIS A GAME TO YOU!?" All Might snarled, advancing towards the now injured man child, two of his dead hands had fallen off. Revealing his chapped lips, red eyes full of hate staring at the number one hero.
"K-Kurogiri." Shigaraki wheezed out, making two portals appear. One dropping All-Might back at the steps and the other pulling Shigaraki away.
Silence.
No one spoke or moved for a few moments, stunned and in awe at what they had just seen.
"Three punches…" Sato whispered in shock, "he beat that thing in three punches…"
"That's why he's number one I guess." Mina said softly, still worrying over Bakugo, his injuries were now wrapped, and the bleeding had stopped, but the blonde Bomber was unconscious, as was Kirishima, his body a mess of lacerations in the form of cracks all over his body, the gauze they used was probably the only thing keeping him together at this point.
And Izumi-
"Mr. Aizawa! Izumi's not breathing!"
Mina looked up sharply, the green haired girl had never looked so small and vulnerable, still unconscious she was beginning to lose color, the vibrant wings that had appeared so suddenly were beginning to go dingy and limp.
Aizawa ran over, sliding to a stop beside the girl, his ear pressed against her chest, "her hearts stopped starting chest compressions."
Mina shot to her feet as she watched Aizawa perform CPR on her friend, tears trailed down her cheeks as she watched Aizawa get more and more frantic.
"Damn it come on! Don't do this,``Aizawa growled out, "don't give up on me like this kid, come on!"
Suddenly Izumi took a deep breath, aizawa quickly turned her on her side as she threw up, she mumbled deliriously for a few moments before once again falling unconscious.
Mina let out a sigh of relief as Abe picked the girl up, wings and all, "I'll run her to the hospital! All-Might, get the boys!" He ordered as he sprinted out of the USJ.
"ON IT ABE SENSEI!" All-Might boomed, gently scooping the two up and taking off.
A few moments later the rest of the staff arrived and were updated.
And all Mina could do was begin to sob, Hagakure and Uraraka were quick to join her, the three girls hugging each other as the rest of their class tried to console them as best they could with tears in their own eyes.

Abe watched as the hospital staff rushed Izumi's limp form through the double doors of the ER right behind Bakugo and Kirishima, Abe stayed where he was, suddenly feeling very lost, all he could see was Izumi's pale face, not moving, not breathing beside a cracked and damaged Kirishima and a one armed Bakugo, their blood stained bodies reminding him too much of his own teammates.
Toshinori's hand gently grabbing his shoulder broke him out of his stupor, ""Come old friend." He said softly, "there's nothing more we can do."
"You're right." Abe sighed, staggering over to a nearby seat and collapsing into it, holding his damaged side in pain.
"Abe sensei! Doctors come quick!" All Might shouted, causing more nurses and EMTs to come rushing over.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Abe rasped, trying to shoo away the medical personnel.
"This wound reopened, we need to get him to bed quickly." The RN said.
"I'm fine damn it." Abe complained as they loaded him onto a gurney, too tired to actually put up a fight."
"Just do what they tell you!" All Might called after his sensei, "I'll check on you in a bit!" he let out a cough as he quickly dodged into a nearby closet as he deflated, falling to his knees as he hacked and coughed, clutching his side as it pulsed with pain.
He hadn't reopened the wound, nor had he aggravated it, truthfully there wasn't anything to aggravate; the wound had been healed completely.
But that didn't mean he should be pushing his power like he had been.
"You alright?"
Toshi looked up at Aizawa, "how'd you get here so fast?" he asked as he settled against the wall, gently massaging his side.
"Nezu doesn't have a license." he said bluntly, "how are the students?"
"All of them are in surgery, nothing to do but wait, and notify their parents."
"Nezu is handling that now…what about Abe?"
"He re-opened his wound, it seems whatever Izumi did didn't heal him completely, but they're working on him now."
"Shouldn't they be working on you?" he asked pointedly.
Toshi chuckled, wincing a bit, "I strained myself a bit fighting," he said, waving away his concern, "I may be healed, but my body just isn't used to the power I used in my prime anymore…I'm old."
Aizawa snorted, "who'd of thought, All-Might bounces back from career ending injury, only to be beaten by time."
"It seems silly doesn't it?" he sighed, forcing himself to stand, wincing all the way, "let's move to the waiting room, I'm sure we'll have concerned parents here soon."
"Maybe you should go get some rest."
"Nonsense!" Toshi boomed, buffing up, "it's just a stitch in my side!"

Inko Midoriya had been preparing a big dinner for her daughter and her friends when she got the call.
She didn't wait for the school to come pick her up, she was out the door and running down the street as fast as she could until Mitsuki screeched to a stop in front of her in their family van, Masaru threw the door open for her.
"Get in!" he practically ordered, and Inko didn't hesitate to jump into the back seat as Mitsuki peeled out, her hazards blinking as she weaved through afternoon traffic.
"Mustafu General." Masaru reminded his wife as she slid onto the freeway.
"I know." she growled, gunning the engine and swerving in and out of traffic.
Pretty soon Kamui woods was swinging down next to the vehicle, 'Pull over!" he ordered.
"Fuck you Birch boy!" Mitsuki snapped, jerking the wheel and causing Kamui to falter and fall back to avoid getting hit by a vehicle.
"Mitsuki!" Inko exclaimed.
"He's tough." she said dismissively, drifting into the correct exit and in a few moments came slamming into a parking spot before all three were sprinting for the hospital.
They burst through the front doors to be met by their children's teachers, Aizawa looked a little worse for wear, his clothes torn and blood spattered and his goggles cracked, All-Might himself looked strained and tired.
None Of the adults could remember a time they saw the number one hero frown.
"Mrs. Midoriya, Mr. and Mrs. Bakugo, thank goodness you've come." All-Might said, bowing his heads respectfully here.
"I'm Shota Aizawa, your kids' teacher." Aizawa said, stepping forward, "I'd say it's a pleasure to meet you, but under the current circumstances it'd be a lie."
"What happened?" Mitsuki demanded to know.
"I'd like to know as well."
The group looked back to see a mountain of a woman walk in, she was nearly as tall as All-MIght with thick muscular arms, she was dressed in a mechanics jumpsuit, the top part unzipped and tied around her waist, a red bandana kept her pitch black hair out of her red eyes.
"Mrs. Kirishima?" All-Might asked.
"Ms." she corrected, "and call me Lina, now what happened to my son?"
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
The four adults sat in contemplative silence after All-Might and Aizawa explained to them what happened.
"His arm…he lost his arm…" Mitsuki whispered, her eyes staring far away.
"UA has already promised to fully fund his recovery and prosthetics." Aizawa said, "but at this time…at this time we don't believe he can remain in the hero course."
"His whole life was spent trying to become the number one hero." Masaru said, "kicking him out now would crush him-"
"-as is he'll need a lot of physical therapy just to function without the use of his arm," Aizawa rebutted, "much less learning a whole new fighting style around it, I'm not kicking him out, but I can't, in good conscience, let him continue like everythings fine."
"What about Izumi?" Mitsuki asked, hope creeping into her tone, "she healed you and Stone Fist, maybe-"
"-Izumi has yet to wake up," All-Might said quietly, "and even if she were awake, her quirk just went through an evolution, we don't know what changes have happened…and I'm sorry to say, but I don't know if she'd be able to bring back a whole arm."
"Izumi…" Inko whimpered, thinking of her daughter, barely hanging on to life, her body struggling to adjust to the quirk evolution she went through.
"Can we see them?" Lina asked softly, the woman's shoulders had slumped throughout the explanation of what happened, her eyes hardening more and more as they were told what their children went through. "Please, I want to see my son."
"Of course," All-Might said, guiding them towards the door, they all came out of surgery a few moments before you all arrived."
The group moved quietly through the hospital, Inko peeked worriedly into Abe's room for only a moment before following the others.
Thankfully all three children were roomed in the same ward, a four bedroom that now had three beds full,
Bakugo was on the first bed, covered in bandages, his empty right sleeve tied off at the shoulder; each shallow breath fogged up the oxygen mask that covered his mouth and nose.
Kirishima was next, his arms suspended slightly in the air by several slings, his body looked cracked, from an impact point on his left shoulder it spiderwebbed over his chest and stomach, his arms were a mess of lacerations and cracks, and a deep, uneven patch of scar tissue covered part of his neck and splintered off into three craggly branches that ended at the corner of his mouth, the top of his nose and to the tip of the old scar on his eyebrow.
He was also the only one that was awake.
"Hey mom…" he whispered, his voice weak and scratchy, "Sorry I worried you…"
Lina lurched forward like she was gonna wrap him up in a hug, but restrained herself at the last second, "oh honey, don't be sorry." she said, gently cupping his cheek, "none of this is your fault."
Inko listened with half an ear as she approached her daughter, she was in the very last bed, leaving an empty one between her and the two boys.
She was deathly pale, and unnervingly thin, as if all the progress she had made throughout the year-the progress she had been so proud of- had been stripped away in an instant, leaving only faded and dingy gray wings behind, wings that were suspended out on either side of her on small tables; she was intubated, meaning she needed a machine to help keep her breathing, a fact that stabbed at Inko's heart.
"Oh my baby…oh my sweet baby." Inko sobbed, holding her daughter's hand in a death-like grip.
"We got her stable," the doctor said softly from behind her, "but it's like…it's like she's drained of energy, and we don't know how to get her levels up.'
"The usual energy shots did nothing but bring her levels to what they are now," All-Might rumbled, "any more and her system might shut down again."
"What about Katsuki?" Mitsuki demanded to know, her voice quivering from barely held emotions.
"His…arm is unsalvageable." the doctor said, not looking her in the eye, "we were barely able to reconstruct his right rib cage from the mess that monster left, he may spend the rest of his life with breathing problems."
"He won't let that stop him."
Everyone looked to Eijiro, who was staring up at the ceiling with serious eyes, "if there's one thing I know about Bakugo, it's that he won't let something like this stop him, he'll be back in training before the weeks out."
"You, however, will not be." The doctor said, "your arms are nothing but fracture fragments we're barely keeping together, your chest is barely any better-"
"I'll be back in it just as soon as I'm all healed up." Kirishima shot back defiantly. "No one can stop me from becoming a hero!"
"Perhaps we should leave this discussion for later." Lina said gently, shooting the doctor a glare.
"Thank you," Mitsuki said softly, looking at Eijiro with a sad smile while the doctor quickly retreated, "For what you said about my son."
Kirishima slowly nodded, "we may not see eye to eye, but he had my back when it counted." he mumbled, "he didn't hesitate to jump in to help."
"Hnnng…."
The entire ward froze at the sound, all eyes turned to Izumi, who's eyes were fluttering a bit.
"Zumi?" Kirishima asked worriedly.
Izumi mumbled something incoherent before her eyes fully closed once more, settling back into unconsciousness.
"It's a good sign that she's trying to wake up." a nearby nurse said, "it means we should be out of the woods!"
"She'll make it out of this too." Kirishima murmured, keeping his eyes on his girlfriend, "I don't know what i'll do if she doesn't."
The visit was quiet after that, the parents sat with their children, Mitsuki was watching her son like a hawk while Masaru went to go grab everyone food, Lina was talking quietly with her son, both sending glances over to Izumi and Inko, who was mutely staring at the wall, holding her daughter's hand.
After a few hours, they were informed that visitation was over, there was a bit of a fight with Mitsuki not wanting to leave her son, but in the end they all walked out together, Aizawa was in the lobby to send them off.
"Don't worry about the cost of their hospital stay," Aizawa reassured, "the school will be paying for everything, and I do mean everything, Mr. and Mrs. Bakugo."
"Thank you for everything, Aizawa-san." Inko mumbled, giving him a half bow alongside Masaru and Lina, while Mitsuki stood off to the side grumbling under her breath.
"You all have as good a night as you can." he said, turning back to stand vigil over his students.
"Inko will you be staying with us?" Mitsuki asked her friend gently as they walked out.
"I'll be fine at home," Inko said dismissively, "you two have a good night, I think I'll walk."
"I'll join you." Lina said, following the smaller woman after they said their good-byes, "so…" Lina began, awkwardly putting her arms behind her head as they walked, "your daughter and my son…going out…"
"Oh, yes!" Inko blushed in embarrassment, "that little fact completely slipped my mind with all that's going on…not the best of first meetings is it?"
"Could've definitely happened sooner, and under better circumstances." Lina sighed, "I've been bugging Kirishima AND Izumi about setting up a meet and greet between us, but there was always something getting in the way.'
"My job has some weird hours," Inko chuckled, "what about you? I assumed you were a mechanic-"
"-and you assumed right." she said with a big grin, "best Mechanic this side of Saitama! It has been my dream to open up my own shop since I was a little girl! Sadly Eiji never got an interest in it; but I'm glad he found another dream to believe in."
"A terrifying dream." Inko sighed, "when I agreed to let Izumi go to UA, I didn't think about the scary side of being a hero, I just saw my daughter growing into a young confident woman and couldn't help but fantasize alongside her about her future…now…now I'm scared." The confession had her shaking a bit, tears gathering in her eyes and barely held back by the conviction to NOT cry in front of someone who was basically a stranger for the third time that day.
"It's our job to be scared." Lina said softly, making Inko look over to her, the large woman was staring up at the stars, smiling wistfully, "even if they were going to a regular school to become regular every day salarymen, there's still danger in the world, car crashes, natural disasters, hell there's a villain attack every other block! At least now we know they can hold their own…"
"You're right…" Inko mumbled as they stepped into the train station, "and I know Izumi's not gonna be deterred by this, it'll only strengthen her conviction."
"Eijiro gets his attitude from me!" Lina laughed jovially, her mood taking a complete 180, "if he can still move his arms, he's gonna keep tryin! Like a real Man!"
Inko laughed at that, "So you're the one he got that from."
"Ha! You think he got that from me!? I showed him Crimson Riot's Debut and the kid ran with it! Based his whole life around the idea of being a real Man!"
"He idolized Crimson Riot? But he was only active back when I was a kid!"
"What can I say, he likes the classics! You should've heard him when he got Stone Fist to train him!"
"Probably how Izumi was when he agreed to train her! I swear that girls' obsession with heroes will be her downfall one day! The villain might flash an ultra rare All-Might Card and she won't be able to stop them!"
The two women shared a laugh as the train pulled into the station, "I'll be coming by tomorrow at eleven, as soon as visitation opens up." Lina said, stepping into the car, "I assume you'll be there?"
"Of course, have a good night Lina." Inko said with a thankful smile.
"Night Inko."
The train pulled out of the station and Inko sighed, her smile falling a bit, "Izumi…' Inko whispered, looking back towards the hospital, ``please, please be alright."
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
cold.
She'd never felt so cold before, a bone deep, aching chill that would've sent shivers through her body if it didn't feel so heavy.
Where was she? Was she still in the USJ? Was everyone alright? Did they make it out? What about Aizawa-Sensei? And-
"Abe…"
Her throat hurt, it was way to dry, the uttered word barely came out as a croak. Her sight was blurry as she forced herself to open her eyes, coming into focus on a dark hospital ceiling, her arms felt like lead and there seemed to be a new ache in her shoulder blades.
She carefully let her head fall to the side, looking at the dingy gray wings held suspended beside her bed, the EKG hooked up to her beeping steadily.
With a wince she turned her head the other way, eyes watering when she saw Kirishima and Bakugo asleep beside her and the state they were in. she probably would've been crying if she wasn't so tired…so tired…
…
…
…warmth…
Izumi didn't know when she had closed her eyes, but she opened them as soon as she felt warmth prick at the end of her eyes reflected the warm orange rays of a rising sun barely peeking through the window curtains, Izumi reached out towards the beam, feeling warmth travel from her fingertips, up her arm and into her chest. She let out a choked groan as she attempted to sit up but ended up falling to the ground with a crash!
"Zumi?" Kirishima mumbled as he slowly woke up, head turning towards her, he tried to surge forward when he saw her collapsed on the ground, but ended up in the same predicament as his wounds still weren't fully healed, "Izumi!"
Izumi continued crawling towards the window, her sight was going black at the edges and spots were beginning to dance but she pushed on, her numb fingers reaching up and grabbing a handful of curtain, sending icy needles through her hand as she fell, dragging the curtains down with her.
The sun filled the room with a brilliant golden light as Izumi let out a gasp, warmth flooding her as she finally got to her feet, color and strength returning to her face and limbs as the wings on her back began twitching, the dingy gray slowly bleeding out and giving way to brilliant white.
"Izumi…" Kirishima whispered in awe as Izumi's wings suddenly flexed, pushing her bed and the EKG over with a thunderous crash.
The door burst open as doctors and nurses came flooding in, all coming up short seeing Izumi standing in the sunlight, her wings beginning to take on a gold glow that spread throughout the room.
Kirishima gasped as he felt his wounds heal, his cracked, lacerated wounds turning into deep scars as he was finally able to breathe easier.
Bakugo lurched up in his bed, tearing the oxygen mask off as he looked around, eyes widening when he saw Izumi.
"Holy-" he bit out.
'-shit." Kirishima finished in awe as the glow died down and Izumi's wings began flapping.
With a terrified shriek Izumi was carried into the air, slamming into the ceiling before crashing back down amongst the ruins of her bed and medical equipment.
"Izumi!" Kirishima cried out worriedly, running to her side, only to be punted back as her right wing spasmed and clipped him in the face.
"I am soooo sorry!" Izumi cried as she tried to disentangle herself from the bed as well as her new wings while also trying not to accidentally hit any of the doctors and nurses that were trying to help her.
Soon she was back on her feet and getting her wings tied down with belts until she could actively control them.
Meanwhile Bakugo was staring at all of this with stunned eyes. How, she didn't have those before so- his thoughts were interrupted as he tried to reach up and run his hand through his hair.
Only nothing happened.
Bakugo stared down at his empty sleeve, his world seemed to tilt a bit as he shakily spoke.
"Where…where's my arm?"
