Now to answer a few questions I've received that I haven't gotten to yet
For the RWBY and Blazblue power-balancing. I am fully aware of the concerns about the RWBY characters not getting enough moments to shine in the story. They do get a few moments here and there but looking back on it, there are not as many compared to the Blazblue characters. I am looking at a lot of concepts so that the RWBY characters will have their major moments and impacts in the story. Which was one of the main reasons I wanted to bring back Toc. It's just taking longer than I thought and with the massive cast that is in the story and those who haven't appeared yet. It's taking longer than I thought for certain characters to get those amazing moments. The RWBY characters will have their moments it's just going to take some time. Though I will confirm this, there is a VERY CRUCIAL moment in the story where Ruby will have a major role. Also, in Volume 7, it will give me a chance for the RWBY characters to have their semblance evolve further, for example Jaune and Nora. Which involves stuff that is not in canon at the time of this chapter's update.
I try to keep things as balanced as I could with both series but some characters are stronger than others. For example, Nu, Ragna, Jin, Hakumen, Jubei, and Azrael are among the strongest characters in the story. So if a character has a major moment I want it to feel earned, justified, and believable. But I did not intend for other characters to be left in the dust. I haven't forgotten them, it's just that their moments haven't come yet. Though I am working on ways to give them their awesome moments and impacts. Some ideas I have are in the concept phases and I am looking forward to them. Especially a VERY MAJOR moment in Volume 7. I am open to ideas and suggestions for possible moments. So your all welcomed to let me know either in the reviews or a private message. If I like them and can put them in the story, I will give full credit.
Also I've looked into arrowfall and I've decided to implement the characters from that game into the story. They will appear in Volume 7 of this story and to give you all a major warning. Volume 7 has the potential to be a MASSIVE volume until further notice. One of the biggest problems I've noticed with Volume 7 in RWBY canon is that it would have benefitted from more episodes to flesh everything out even further. One of the best things about fanfiction is that I can take as much time as I need to.
Another announcement, after Volume 6 of this story which is the current volume. I will have a brief recap chapter before the start of each volume in this story. I mentioned a long time ago that I already know how this story will end. Though when it ends will depend on RWBY itself and so far this story is looking like it will be more than 120 chapters. I have thought about ending it sooner than RWBY but the problem is that it will feel rushed and I want to get as much details of the lore from RWBY canon as I can before I start making more major deviations. Like for example what the remaining two relics can do. Since I do get new readers, expecting them to go through so many chapters is a massive task and some details might be lost. While there are also some returning readers who has a TON to catch up on. I was told that I can simply continue the story as a separate story, but there is no guarantee that everyone will follow the new story that's an extension of the main story. It would be one thing if it's a sequel story but that is not the case.
I am very grateful for the follows, favorites, and reviews I have. But that will not transfer over so the recap is the best I can do. The recap will mention relevant major moments that happened up to that point in the story. Though I will not mention everything since I do want you guys to read the story. Brief enough so that all of you will have a general idea of what's going on. While also give reasons to read the previous chapters if you want the full context and details. Especially since I don't plan on revealing a lot of major plot twists in the recap. Though if you think I should not do a recap, please let me know, I am always listening.
Hanzo Hisashi and DIO were other aliases I thought of but I couldn't use them. For Hanzo, it has been a while since I played Mortal Kombat and I completely forgot that he voiced Scorpion. As for DIO, I already have a JOJO reference in the story. I might put in a few more but I'm still debating it. I wanted to use the voice actor's real name but this website has a strict policy about using real people and I didn't want to take any risks in violating the terms. Jumping ahead for a bit, I am not done with the alias for Ragna.
Chapter 86 All Aboard
(Within the Train)
Jaune and his team went to their designated cabin once they went on the train. For a few moments, Jaune was thinking about everything that happened. From everything regarding Kokonoe, to the situation with Salem. These thoughts inevitably gravitated towards the upcoming reunion with Noel. There are many times that Jaune thought about what he would say when he saw Noel again. But he pushed those thoughts out of his mind and focused on everything in the moment. Though when the plan for the group is to make their way to Atlas. His thoughts has once again focused on what he will say and do once he sees her again.
"Is there something on your mind Jaune?" Ren asked getting Jaune out of his trail of thoughts
"Oh Ren, I was just thinking about a few things." Jaune said quickly giving Ren his attention.
"I know, he's thinking about what he'll do when he sees Noel again." Nora said before she made several kissing sounds in a teasing tone
"Well that is part of it, Makoto said that she take me to her since I don't know where she lives." Jaune told his teammates
"It's so sweet that you miss your girlfriend and are nervous about seeing her. But you should enjoy this quiet moment since we hardly spend time with each other." Nora energetically said
"I agree, we do have a long road ahead of us and enjoying the simple pleasures of life should not be missed or taken for granted." Ren said agreeing with Nora
"Exactly, just as long as you don't eat Noel's cooking everything will be fine." Nora happily told Jaune
"Hahaha you two are right, I missed being with you two. It certain feels like Beacon when it was . . . ." Jaune trailed off before he looked at an empty chair and remembered Pyrrha. A brief second later, the mood in the cabin got tense and they held a look of grief on their faces
"I miss her, damn it I miss her so much." Jaune said in a tone full of sadness
"We all do Jaune, she gave her life for something she believed in. The best we can do is live on for her sake as well. It's what she would have wanted." Ren told Jaune in a reassuring tone
"Right, don't forget that she's important to us as well. Our team won't be the same as before. But I know that she is still with us and is giving us the strength to keep going." Nora said in a reassuring tone as well
"Nora, I've been meaning to ask this for a while. How do you feel about us having to be with Ragna? Ren told me that you sometimes shake when your near him." Jaune said before Nora looked away nervously before speaking.
"I know it wasn't entirely his fault with what happened. But I can't help how I feel about being around him. I was hit directly with that powerful blast when he went beast mode and for a brief moment it felt like I was going to die. I'm still trying deal with that." Nora told her teammates
"I understand why your worried, but Ragna has shown much better control over his powers when we traveled and he stayed in control during our battle of Haven. Once we get to Atlas, I'm sure that everything be better." Jaune said in an optimistic tone
"Your right, we're still together and nobody died. We're going to have nothing but smooth sailing from this point." Nora confidently said with a big smile
(The Train Cart Room)
"Meow, then as the White Fang attacked Black Cat. Me and Sun attacked the bad guys and saved her. We valiantly made our way to her home and beat the other White Fang and trained diligently so we could come and save Heaven." Tao happily explained to her teammates
"Tao, it's pronounced Haven Academy." Bullet said correcting Tao
"It doesn't matter meow, we beat the bad guys and saved the day. I could tell this story a thousand times meow." Tao happily said to Bullet
"You did tell this story to us, everyday . .. . . ever since we got reunited." Bullet said in a slightly annoyed tone
"Saving the innocent is a noble pursuit and I will listen to her story a thousand times. A fact that I'm certain . . . ." Bang said as him and his teammates looked at an empty seat and he held a somber look on his face
"Amane would have listened to Tao's story as well, I do miss him. I hope he's doing fine back in Vale." Bang said thinking about their friend
"He's back in Vale helping people. With everything Yang and Makoto told us, things should be getting better for him there. Though I don't think we'll be seeing him anytime soon." Bullet told Bang before Tao told the story again
(A different cart)
It cost a lot of money for Ragna to get a room by himself and even going as far as to make sure nobody would enter carelessly. The main reason being that Ragna's infamy is a big problem. Being able to get to Atlas is already challenging enough with the border closing. But for the group to bring Ragna into the Kingdom without drawing attention to themselves. Especially since the sight of Ragna will invoke a panic and the last thing they need is to risk the wrath of a city. Though the only thing that Ragna is looking forward to is seeing his family and master again. As Ragna was in thought, Ruby entered the room getting Ragna out of his thoughts.
"Hey Ragna, how are you doing? I know being alone in this room can't be easy to deal with." Ruby told Ragna
"To be honest, this is just like when I was at Ronin-Gai. To avoid a panic I had to stay out of sight from everyone and I'm not the most social person unless I'm bored. So honestly, this is no problem." Ragna told Ruby
"Well once we get to Atlas, I'm sure that we'll figure out a way for you to be able explore the Kingdom. Especially since your family is there and Jubei." Ruby told Ragna
"I doubt you came here just to check on me. Especially since your whole team is reunited. So why are you here with me Ruby?" Ragna asked
"I see that you and Yang are talking to each other. So can I assume that you two patched things up?" Ruby asked
"It's not that simple, we are on talking terms but what happened isn't something that can easily be glossed over. She understood why I did what I did but my sister still cut off her arm. Something that is indirectly my fault. It's nice to know that she's forgiven me for it, but we still need to work through all of that and the other things that I've done. We still have a lot to work through but this is a big first step." Ragna explained to Ruby
"It's great you two are working things out. When I left home she was not doing so great with everything that's happened." Ruby happily told Ragna
"Do we have a plan for what to do once we get to Atlas?" Ragna asked before Ruby spoke up
"First we need to meet up with General Ironwood. After that we'll be able to secure the Relic. Once we do that then everything should work out." Ruby briefly explained to Ragna
"You sound optimistic, but I have a feeling that it's not that simple. Especially with how everything's been going with us. Prime example, my run-in with that masked freak. Another example is that Haven's Headmaster was working for Salem. Still I should be grateful, it gave me a chance to kill Cinder. So imagine how excited I'll be when I kill Terumi." Ragna said causing Ruby to give him a questioning look
"How did it feel when you killed Cinder? Growing up I've read all kinds of stories about heroes and some of them have a lesson about revenge being wrong. But Cinder did a lot of terrible things to you and I know you're justified in what you've done. So I need to ask, how are you feeling right now?" Ruby asked in a concerned tone before Ragna started to answer
"To be honest Ruby, I feel a strong sense of relief and satisfaction. It feels like a heavy weight that's brought me nothing but pain and anger has been lifted from my shoulders. I know all the stories of how revenge is terrible and we should let it go. But Cinder threatened my family and played a part in ruining my life. I couldn't let her get away with it. Not for as long as I lived and breathed. She needed to die and I have no regrets about ending her life. So imagine how I'll feel when I kill Terumi with my bare hands." Ragna explained to Ruby causing the young girl to have a worried look on her face before he spoke further
"You have as much reason to want Terumi dead as much as I do. But honestly speaking, you need to let me be the one to carry out our revenge against him." Ragna told Ruby which surprised her
"I don't like talking about things like revenge, but I can't ignore what he's done. To Pyrrha and to my mom." Ruby told Ragna
"I know, but killing someone for revenge also does something to you on the inside. There's already blood on my hands and if you're not careful. Then it will make you into something your not. The world already sees me as a monster and I am still determined to save Nu. But that doesn't mean you need to let revenge consume you. I know all the warnings and trappings of revenge, so let me be the monster, while you can be the hero." Ragna explained to Ruby
"You saved me Ragna, I know you're a hero too." Ruby said before the train shook and quickly got their attention. Ragna made the motion to get up but Ruby stopped him from getting out of the room.
"You need to stay here, remember if the passengers see you it will cause a panic. Trust me Ragna, we got this." Ruby confidently said before she left the room.
(The top of the Train Cart)
It didn't take long for Ruby and her team, along with Qrow to get to the top of the train. Once they did, they proceeded to fight the numerous Grimm that was on the train. From the numerous Manticore that were attacking various carts. To the Sphinx that appears to be leading the group of Grimm and observing. Once Ruby made it to the top of the cart, she proceeded to attack the many Manticore Grimm along with her uncle.
Shortly after Ruby and Qrow killed the Manticore. She saw Yang was making short work of the Grimm that were surrounding her along with Blake. When Ruby looked at Weiss, she saw that she was summoning several glyphs and fired several shards at the Grimm. Before one of the Grimm was destroyed, it sent a fire blast at Weiss. Reacting quickly, Ruby rushed towards Weiss with her semblance and blocked the fireball to protect her. Once Weiss saw Ruby, she kneeled down and proceeded to focus her strength on a glyph so she can perform a summon.
While Weiss was preparing the summoning, Ruby used her semblance to quickly get to the Grimm that was attempting to attack Weiss. For every fire attack that was aimed at Weiss. Ruby will use Crescent Rose along with her rose burst to redirect the flames at the Grimm. Once the flames were redirected and hit the Grimm. Ruby capitalized on the moment and proceeded to quickly slash at the stunned Grimm and quickly destroyed it. Once it was destroyed, Ruby fired her weapon at the Grimm which stopped it from attacking Weiss. Taking advantage of the moment, Ruby rushed towards the Grimm and slashed all over its body and quickly destroyed it. Once the Manticore was destroyed, Weiss was able to complete the summon and a brief second later. The summoned knight proceeded to destroy the Manticore Grimm while Weiss and Ruby destroyed the other nearby Grimm with their weapons and semblance.
Shortly afterwards, Oscar ran towards Qrow and he was accompanied by Jin, Bang, and Tao. Once Tao saw the Manticore Grimm flying towards the group. Tao excitedly jumped towards the Grimm and once she landed. She started to furiously slash at the Grimm's un-armored body. A brief moment later, Tao used the grapple function on her chain claws to launch herself to another nearby Manticore. This time, Tao used her natural flexibility to crawl around the Manticore and land several attacks in the process. Before the Manticore dissipated, Tao leaped towards another nearby Manticore Grimm.
This time, the Manticore saw Tao coming and released a strong flamethrower aimed at her. Reacting quickly, Tao created a clone and threw it towards the flamethrower. Once the clone got close, it proceeded to roll towards the flames at an intense speed once it was engulfed in the flames, it became a spinning fireball. once it reached the Manticore. A small fiery explosion occurred and stunned the Manticore Grimm. Once Tao herself reached the stunned Grimm, she was able to easily deal with it using a single slash attack. Once the Manticore dissipated, Tao leaped towards the train and as she was getting closer to the train. Weiss created a trail of glyphs that allowed Tao to safely get back to the train.
"Thanks Ice Weiss meow." Tao happily said before she got back to fighting the Grimm
"Ice Weiss, is this really the time for that Tao?" Weiss said before she attacked the nearby Grimm
"At least she's making the best of this." Ruby said before Tao launched her claw gauntlet and Ruby quickly grabbed it. Immediately after grabbing the grapple, Tao swung Ruby at the nearby Manticore Grimm and Ruby used her semblance to cut down the Grimm in a blinding speed.
"TUNNEL!" Oscar yelled which got everyone's attention causing them to look to see that they are approaching the tunnel and the Grimm were getting away to avoid it.
(Inside the Train Cart)
It wasn't hard for Ragna to figure out that the Grimm are attacking the train. Ruby and the rest of the group are strong enough to handle whatever Grimm is bold enough to attack them. Yet what's aggravating Ragna is that he can't fight the Grimm due to his infamy. He understands why, but not being able to act when he's able to goes against Ragna's nature and core beliefs. Which doesn't sit right with him in any way.
"One of the Grimm made it in the cart!" One of the passengers yelled causing Ragna to get out of his trail of thought.
He looked out of his room window and saw many of the passengers are running to the back of the train. When he looked at the direction the passengers were running from. He saw a short elderly woman being pursued by a Beowolf Grimm. When Ragna looked further, he saw that the others were not around and realized that they will not be able to arrive soon enough. Without a second thought, Ragna left the room and approached the Beowolf Grimm. Once he got closer, Ragna mustered a good deal of his strength to punch the Beowolf and succeeded in knocking it back a small distance. After the Grimm was punched, Ragna felt the same sensation from earlier and reached out his fist. A brief second later, a small surge of black flames were blasted from Ragna's fist and it hit the Grimm directly which stunned it further. Capitalizing on the moment, Ragna called his weapon over and killed the Grimm by cutting it in half.
"Thank you for saving me young man." The elderly woman told Ragna in a grateful tone
"Don't mention, it was nothing." Ragna said trying to keep his face hidden with his hood. Before he tried to get away, one of the passengers yelled out to him.
"You can't just go back in your room. Who knows how many more Grimm made it inside the train. You're the only one who can fight and we can't defend ourselves." The passenger yelled out
"The others are already gone, please you need to help us." Another passenger said before she made an attempt to desperately grab Ragna's arm. Once she did, she unintentionally grabbed his hood instead and accidently pulled it down. Once Ragna's face was fully visible, the look of adoration for their protector, quickly turned to a mix of panic and horror when they realized who is with them.
"It's . . . . it's the beast of Remnant." The passenger said in a panicked tone with everyone following suit
"What is he doing here?" Another passenger asked before more of the passenger started to yell. Before many more of them started to yell in objection to Ragna's presence on the train. Before the passengers yelled any further. The short elderly lady slammed her cane down and got everyone's attention
"All of you are ignoring the fact that he saved my life. So for one moment, don't put any thought to his infamous title and be grateful for the fact that he's willing to protect us. Especially since he saved my life." The elderly woman told the crowd. A statement that unfortunately fell on deaf ears.
"That's only a front, he's the Black Beast reborn and he'll kill us all when we least expect it." A more vocal passenger said with the crowd agreeing
"He's the reason the Grimm are coming, him being here will get us all killed!" Another one of the passengers yelled causing everyone to yell together making the message clear that they want Ragna gone.
"What's going on here!" Qrow yelled as he and the others arrived. When Ragna looked further, he saw Jaune carrying one of the Huntsman over his shoulder. When the other Huntsman was nowhere to be found. It was safe to assume that he didn't make it.
(The Bullhead Ship)
Thanks to Hazama's resources, he was able to acquire an airship for Adam and Tock to use to get to Atlas. With Neo's skills, they will be able to enter the Kingdom with ease as along as they do not draw attention to themselves. Since the air ride will be lengthy, Adam spent time bringing Tock up to speed about everything that's happened during the years that she was dead. A few questions were asked and answered and once Tock was fully brought up, she quickly processed everything.
"Well now isn't this amazing, during my time the Faunus were hunted down like wild beasts. Now our existence are being tolerated, though not in all locations in Remnant." Tock told Adam
"The White Fang was formed so the Faunus will have a unified voice against the humans that abuse and oppress us. But the original message was ignored and we had to speak in the language the humans understood. That language being death, destruction, and despair. The very same thing that we've been subjected to for years. I learned this the day I received my scar." Adam told Tock causing her to chuckle at the details
"The SDC name used to mean something during my time. Disappointing to see that it's now run by people willing to brand our kind. Still, it taught you a lesson about reality and dreams and from what you've told me and from what I'm seeing. It's a lesson that's well earned and your applying it well." Tock told Adam causing him to angrily look at him.
"Idealistic people are nothing more than people with dreams. A strong dose of reality is needed to destroy those dreams. So those very same people can see how the world really is. I have a feeling that you used to have dreams of your own. Though the moment you got your scar, you saw the world for what it is and became what you needed to be. So you can make your beliefs a reality." Tock explained to Adam before she continued to explain further
"Your previous leader's beliefs is just a half step. Show strength only when it's necessary, so the humans will know that we can fight back. The problem is that when strength is seen, it's inevitable that someone will come along to challenge that strength. So you need to be the ultimate strength so that nobody will challenge you." Tock finished explaining to Adam
"Exactly, but I need to unify the Faunus. Too many setbacks occurred and they need a true hero. Our forces are strong enough for what' needed for the plan. But afterwards, we need to strengthen our forces, since the rest of the Kingdom will not sit idly by and do nothing." Adam told Tock
"If you and the remains of the White Fang pull this off, that won't be a problem. It's clear that your passionate about your wishes for the Faunus. But it's also obvious that you're doing this for revenge for what happened to you. Personally I have a lot of respect for people dedicated to revenge. Everyone will be quick to tell you to let it go. But revenge is another form of passion and resolve. I have respect for someone who's driven by revenge. Since the humans are determined to push us down, then we need to push back and show that we mean business. Once we go through with the plan and it succeed. The Faunus who suffered will be united in their shared passion and will see that you mean business. You know the saying of birds of a feather will flock together. As for the humans, I doubt they will be eager to serve us. But as long as they don't give us a reason, then they can still have a place in the world." Tock explained to Adam before the airship alarm blared. When Adam and Tock looked out the window, they saw that they were approaching Atlas
"We'll be arriving at the Kingdom soon. It makes me sick to my stomach to know that we'll be working in the mines. Especially after what happened to my face." Adam told Tock
"We just have to put up with it for a while. Once the time comes and we do what we need to do. It will all be worth it and more, the arrogant Kingdom will know chaos and my master will be satisfied with the removal of a threat." Tock eagerly said as they were arriving
(The inside of the Train Cart)
"I'm telling you to turn those damn turrets off. The longer you keep them activated, the more Grimm will go after the passengers. Your stupidity is putting all of them in danger." Qrow angrily told the Huntsman
"The turrets are taking care of the Grimm. What does it matter as long as the Grimm are dead. I lost my friend to those damn creatures and they need to die." The Huntsman angrily responded
"Maybe if you two had done your job instead of trying to do a shakedown. Your friend would still be alive and the people wouldn't be in danger." Qrow argued to the Huntsman
"Me and Dean aren't the ones who brought the Beast of Remnant on board. Did you think we didn't notice how you and your group stayed close to him." The Huntsman said before Ruby approached the Huntsman
"Please, turn off the turrets?" Ruby asked the Huntsman before Jaune approached him
"I know it's a lot to ask for, but we need you to trust us. We know what we're doing." Jaune said before he started to heal the Huntsman's arm.
"Fine, but you all better know what you're doing." The Huntsman said
"Ren, could you use your semblance to hide all these people?" Nora asked Ren
"I haven't done it with this many people before." Ren answered
"You've never had Jaune's help before, he can amplify your aura." Weiss said
"That's right, with the turrets off and the people masked by Ren's semblance. The Grimm won't be able to sense any negativity and they will lose track of us, since nothing will draw them in." Blake told everyone
"That's a good plan, it covers our basis and as long as nobody does something stupid. Things will go smoothly." Qrow said agreeing with the plan.
"May I?" Ozpin asked
"Go ahead." Oscar agreed before Ozpin took over
"I'm afraid that there is one more complication. The Grimm are attracted to this." Ozpin said as he was pointing to the relic
"Oz, are you serious?" Qrow asked in a surprised tone
"Why wouldn't you tell us.? We should have known about this detail much sooner." Yang angrily said
"It's because I . . . ." Ozpin said before Ruby spoke up
"It doesn't matter right now, we just need to adjust the plan. Everyone get to the front of the train. Ren will use his semblance to mask the people with Jaune's help. Some of us will stay behind to make sure the passengers get to Argus. While also protect them from other Grimm in case something unexpected happened. While the rest of us will stay behind with the Relic. Once we deal with the Grimm, we'll catch up to you in Argus." Ruby explained the plan to everyone
"Just make it back to Argus, I don't want to lose anyone else again." Jaune said in a pleading tone
"We'll make it Jaune." Ruby said reassuring her friend.
"I'll stay behind, since everyone made it clear that they don't want me around. I'll fight the Grimm with the rest of you and catch up later." Ragna told Ruby
"I will stay behind as well, I want to do my part to make sure that we all make it back." Bang said with Ruby nodding in approval. As the group that agreed to stay behind due went to the back. Makoto approached Yang with a concerned look.
"Be careful Yang." Makoto told Yang in a soft tone
"I will." Yang responded before she left
(The top of the train)
Once team RWBY, Qrow, Ragna, Bang, and Oscar made sure to separate the passengers from the rest of the train. They all started to fight against the various Grimm that were nearby. Weiss used her glyphs to keep the flying Manticore at a distance. While the rest of the people fought against the Grimm that were on the train.
"The only silver lining with this is that I don't have to hold back as much." Ragna said before he started to run towards the Grimm
Once Ragna got close to the Manticore, he proceeded to quickly cut down each of the Grimm. As Ragna was cutting down the Grimm, he noticed Oscar was holding his own against the Manticore himself. After Oscar dealt with his current Grimm, Ragna noticed a Manticore was preparing to use its fire breath aimed at Oscar. Reacting quickly, Ragna dashed in front of the Manticore and transformed his sword to it's scythe form and quickly blocked the flames. After Ragna blocked the flames, Ragna swung his scythe at the Manticore and knocked it upwards. Immediately afterwards, Oscar took this moment to aggressively attack the Manticore with his cane. Shortly afterwards, the Manticore dissipated.
Bang spent a good deal of time fighting against the Manticore that were quickly approaching him. Before one of the Grimm could land a sneak attack, Blake leaped towards the Grimm and landed several slash attacks and killed it. Before Bang could thank Blake, he noticed several Manticores surrounding the two. While two Manticore Grimm was flying towards the two. Both Bang and Blake shared a quick look and instinctively came up with a plan.
Blake tossed her strap at Bang, while tilting her head upwards signaling the direction she needed to go. The moment Bang got the silent message, he sung Blake towards one of the Manticores and once her feet landed on the Manticore's head. Bang swung further and tossed Blake upwards towards the flying Manticore Grimm. After Blake was tossed, Bang used his giant nail to launch himself upwards and once he did. He focused his aura to both of his fist as he was diving towards the surround Manticore Grimm.
"PULVERIZING BURST!" Bang yelled before he landed on the top of the train cart. Once he did, Bang released a burst of fiery aura that surrounded him and knocked back the surrounding Manticore Grimm. As this was going on, Blake made short work of the flying Manticore Grimm. With a series of slashes and dodging various tail attacks in the air. The flying Manticore Grimm was quickly destroyed.
Yang managed to quickly deal with the Manticore Grimm that were dashing towards Wiess. With a series of powerful punches that were quickly followed by several gauntlet blasts. After a few minutes, there were no more Manticore Grimm going after Weiss. Unfortunately, despite Weiss being able to deal with some of the flying Grimm. A good number of them continued to evade Weiss's ice shard blasts that's fired from her glyphs.
Upon seeing this, Yang dashed towards Weiss's direction and made a powerful gauntlet blast towards the flying Manticore Grimm. Once Yang made it to the Manticore, she grabbed its horn and proceeded to repeatedly punch its face with her immense strength. Yang continued with the attack until she led the Manticore Grimm to bash into the other Manticore. Once both Grimm made impact with each other, Yang launched herself far into the air. Immediately afterwards, Weiss focused her aura into summoning a giant sword and killed both of the Manticores in the air. After the Grimm was dealt with, Weiss positioned the summoned sword in a way that allowed Yang to run on the blade and return to the train.
Before everyone could celebrate the fact that the Grimm are gone, a loud roar was heard that caused everyone to be put on guard. A second later, a large Grimm was seen flying through the sky and flew in the direction of the train. Before the flying Grimm fully descended, it blasted a powerful fire blast at the train and it caused the train to be derailed off the tracks. The train tumbled through the hill for a few minutes and once the tumbling stopped. Many crates fell out of the train, while Team RWBY and the others fell to the ground.
"Is everyone alright, or at least still alive?" Oscar asked as he was recovering from the crash
"Yeah, can't believe that Sphinx Grimm blindsided us." Ragna said as he was recovering as well
"Whew, now that was a train ride. I thought we were all going to die for a moment there. Glad to see we all made it." An elderly woman said in a happy tone that surprised everyone

I'm jumping the gun for a bit, but I wanted to give you all a heads up for the next chapter. For the name of the Relic, I am going to spell the name like Jinn to avoid confusion and possible mix ups with Jin from Blazblue in this story. Also, while the characters will learn the truth behind the origins of Ozpin and Salem. I'm not going to write out the scene aside from confirming what they've learned. The reason is because aside from a few reactions that could honestly be saved for later. Nothing significant will be added during the flashback to Ozpin and Salem's past that would be worth writing the entire segment. Since everyone that follows the story knows the origin of the war. Writing out the entire flashback and origin story will be unneeded. I will still write the characters reaction to learning the truth and that will be significant.
Rest assured, the Relic of Knowledge will still be used and it be for things aside from learning about Ozpin. I'm looking forward to it and there will be some major revelations. I'm going to have to deviate from canon for a bit but once the next chapter debuts the reason will hopefully be understandable. Though I need to give a massive warning, in the next chapter there are going to be a lot of intense moments. I will give another warning in the author's note of the next chapter. But I want to give the heads up just to be safe. The moments in the next chapter is very intense.
