When Bucky and Sam had left, Loki smiled at Eva, saying, "I see what you did there."

Eva gave Loki a smirk in return as she asked, "And what, pray tell, did I do, oh wise God of Mischief?"

Loki laughed. "You got the soldier in trouble on purpose."

She shrugged. "Movies and cuddles every date night? It gets old. He even said it was a ritual now." She laughed. "I simply helped change that routine."

Steve pulled her in close. He remembered how he used to take her to the same diner when they could afford it in the forties. She told him, after the tenth date, that she wanted to do something different. She began talking to him about picnics, long walks in the park, going to the cinema, and once, an underground fight ring. While most of their dates were the diner or walks, he had to admit that doing other things had ensured they never got tired of the same old routine. Though, he made her promise not to go to a fight club ever again because even the light weights could kick his ass and the smoke that was trapped from the cigars and cigarettes caused him to have an asthma attack, sending him to the hospital.

That was when an idea hit him and Steve said, "You know, we haven't been on a date in a while. What do you say, princess?"

She saw the hungry look in his eyes and returned it, answering, "I love that idea. What did you have in mind, Captain?"

At the same time, Sharon gave a flirty smile to Yelena and asked, "How about you, baby? Date night?"

Yelena smiled, scrunching up her nose in the process as she said, "I'm in."

Wanda hugged her boyfriend from behind, inquiring, "Brucie?"

"You know I can't say no to you," he said, smiling as he looked over his shoulder. "Where to this time?"

"Loki?" Thor asked, taking his lover's hand.

Loki gave a warm smile as he replied, "I would love to."

Even Tony had a sweet smile as he added, "It looks like it's Avengers Date Night. I'll call Pepper and Rhodey."

Everyone knew that Tony dated two people. The media had a field day when they went public. But, ultimately, Pepper did damage control and the three had been on many dates since.

Clint sat on the couch. While he would love to go out with his wife, even do a whole family date with the kids, he felt he should stay behind. Guilt over persuading everyone to wait so long and give Nat a chance to do the right thing ate at him.

"I'll hold down the fort," he said, knowing someone had to even if JARVIS could do it.

Sensing his feelings, Eva asked, "Clint?"

He gave a nervous smile. "I'm fine, Evelyn. Just a lot on my mind."

"If you're sure. Have fun."

"You all enjoy yourselves."

With that, everyone left. However, a shadow loomed over their happy little bubble.
