In this Side Story I decided to talk about the friends Zoey, Lucas, and Lily left behind. So let's hear what stories Zoey, Lucas, and Lily have to share in this Side Story.

Stories By The Campfire.
The Outskirts Of Republic City
It has just turned to spring for Republic City, and Lucas was leading Korra, Mako, Bolin, Asami, Zoey, and Lily through one of the forest covered mountains that was surrounding Republic City, each with large backpacks with camping gear on. After spending most of the day walking though the mountain they found a large open area. "This looks like a great place to camp." Lucas said to everyone. Then Bolin fell down. "Oh... thank... goodness..." Bolin said, trying to catch his breath. "You really are a city boy aren't you." Lily said to Bolin, as they all took off their backpacks.
"Hey don't be so hard on him. It's not like he has to walk for days to get from town to town." Zoey said to Lily. "Okay everyone let's set up our campsite, then I'll start cooking up some of my curry." Lucas said to everyone. "Okay." Korra said as they all started to work.
A few hours later Everyone was around a campfire, with a plate of curry on their laps, and their tents behind them, and the sun setting. "This isn't bad Lucas." Korra said to Lucas, eating a spoon full of curry. "Thanks, I was worried that it would be terrible." Lucas said to Korra. "Why would it be terrible?" Asami asked Lucas. "Mainly because I don't have my normal ingredients. It was a little strange cooking without the stuff I'm used to." Lucas said Asami.
"Still this is pretty good Lucas." Bolin said to Lucas. "Guess all my trial and error on Hop, Bede, and Marine paid off." Lucas said to Bolin. "Who?" Mako asked Lucas. "My Friends from back home." Lucas said to Mako. "You never talk about them. Can you tell us about them?" Asami asked Lucas. "Yeah, you said Mako was another Bede, when we met him." Korra said to Lucas.
"Well then why don't I start with Bede. I met Bede right after I joined the league. And he was a pain." Lucas said to everyone. "What do you mean pain?" Bolin asked Lucas. "Bede thought that since he was being sponsored by the Chairman that ran the league. He was better than the rest of us." Lucas said to Bolin. "And was he?" Mako asked Lucas. "No, but he was skilled. Like you Mako. Bede took all his battle's various seriously. But the only difference is that Bede would look down at his opponents." Lucas said to Mako.
"He does sound like a pain, how could you be friends with him?" Korra asked Lucas. "I felt sorry for him." Lucas said to Korra. "Sorry? Sorry for what?" Bolin asked Lucas. "You see Bede was a man driven by his loyalty for the Chairman. But in Bede's quest to help the Chairman, he destroyed a work of art that was loved by the town." Lucas said to Bolin. "Why would he do that?" Asami asked Lucas. "You see Bede is an orphan like Mako and Bolin, but he doesn't have a sibling. Then the Chairman shows up and gives Bede a better life. To repay that kindness Bede swore to help the Chairman in any way he can, even if it meant being a criminal." Lucas said to everyone
"Then what happened to him?" Asami asked Lucas. "With the art destroyed the Chairman had no choice, but to kick Bede out of the league. Some time later, the Fairy Gym Leader, Opal, noticed him decided to make him the next Fairy Type. Opal then took Bede away and started training him. Then at the start of the finals of the League, Bede showed up and challenged me to a battle." Lucas said to everyone. "Why did he do that?" Bolin asked Lucas.
"To get out of Opal's hands. He was having a miserable time being Opal's student. He said if he wins he'll stay the gym leader, but if he loses that's it, he's done being a trainer. And I beat him, but to his surprise the crowd loved him, and wanted him to stay. Bede was mad with me, but I told him that if I became champion. I expect you to be in the finals with me for when I defined my title for the first time. Bede said you know it. And that's when we really become friends." Lucas said to everyone.
"Now tell us about this Marine?" Asami asked Lucas. "Marine. She was a good friend right off the bat. We still battle for the same thing, but we still had fun together. I remember this time when the people of her hometown of Spikemuth, barricading their main entrance so Marine could win the league unopposed. But Marine helped me sneak into the city, after the battle of course. If it wasn't for her I would have never gotten the dark badge." Lucas said to everyone.
"She sounds like a good person." Korra said to Lucas. "She is, and a pretty good Gym Leader too." Lucas said to Korra. "Marine is Gym Leader too." Asami said Lucas. "Yes, the Dark Gym Leader. She was made the Gym Leader after I was made Champion." Lucas said to Asami. "So is this Hop person a Gym Leader too?" Bolin asked Lucas.
"No. Hop was my best friend. I met him when I was a little kid. I was impressed he had his partner Wooloo with him at such a young age. He told me that he's going to beat his brother Champion Leon with his partner Wooloo. But he didn't have a lot of friends, since the other kids in our town of Postwick, would pick on him because they thought that Wooloo was a weak Pokemon to have for a partner, if you want to beat Leon." Lucas said to everyone.
"What's a Wooloo?" Bolin asked Lucas. "A Wooloo is a sheep with a round coat of fluff, they are super fluffy and move around like a rolling ball. They're extremely cute." Lucas said to Bolin. "Aah I wish I could see one." Bolin said to Lucas. "Maybe one day. Anyway at first the other kids wanted me to join them in picking on Hop. But I choose to stand by Hop. I told them that Wooloo was awesome Pokemon to have for a partner. Cause while Wooloo may look silly, Wooloo was tuff, sturdy, and was a Normal type a powerful Pokemon type. The bullies then backed off, and we became the best of friends." Lucas said to everyone.
"You know that kind of reminds me of what you did for me when we first arrived in Republic city." Korra said to Lucas. "Yeah and like you and me. Me and Hop formed a bond that led to a lot of good things. Me getting Rillaboom, joining the league, finding the rest of my team, and saving Galar with Hop by my side and Wooloo and Coalossal out their with us." Lucas said to everyone.
"So what happened to Hop?" Asami asked Lucas. "Well, you see the last round to decide which trainer would join the tournament to face Leon came down to me and Hop, and we battled holding nothing back, because we knew that it would be one of us that would face Leon, and I won. Hop was happy for me. And I told everyone he was exactly what I need for a friend / rival. But then something was wrong with Hop." Lucas said to everyone.
"What do you mean wrong? Was he sick, was he dying. DID HE DIE!" Bolin asked Lucas, yelling that last part. "What no. Hop was fine physically, but he started to lose every battle he was in. you see Hop lost his spark, it's like if Mako lost his ability to firebend. Hop struggled with this for a while, but then realised that what he needed was a new dream. And his new dream was to become a Pokemon Research Professor. With that dream Hop got his straight back, and a few weeks before the league would start Hop would dragge me, Marine, and Bede, to the middle of nowhere to train and be normal people. And it was those trips that taught me how to make curry, and are some of my favorite memories as a kid." Lucas said to everyone.
"Main your friends sound cool. Do you two have friends like that?" Korra said to Lucas and asked Zoey and Lily. "I don't have friends back home." Zoey said to everyone. "Oh come on Zoey, even you had to have at least one friend from your homeland." Asami said to Zoey. "Well there is one person you could say is my friend." Zoey said to everyone. "Who?" Korra asked Zoey. "Iris." Zoey said to Korra. "Iris! You mean the Champion of the Unova Region Iris?" Lucas asked Zoey.
"Yes. I met Iris soon after I started my journey. She was doing the gyms like me, and was and still is a cheerful and wild girl." Zoey said to everyone. "Sounds like the complete opposite of you." Bolin said to Zoey, earning a stare from Zoey. "While your right. I didn't have much choice in the matter. Iris followed me chatting all the way. Then when I had to face Team Plasma, the Equalists of my home land, Iris stood by my side and helped me. She even held back the main forces of Team Plasma, as I took care of their leaders." Zoey said to everyone.
"Sounds like you two had some adventures together." Asami said to Zoey. "Oh we did. Then when I was about to earn my eight gym badge, I was surprised that my opponent was Iris, and we had a grand battle, which I won. Then Iris battled the previous gym leader and we moved to the elite four. And then after I beat the elite four Team Plasma made their move and attacked the league. Iris and my then battle are way through Team Plasma forced with the Gym Leaders backing us. Then me and Iris found the current Champion Alder on the ground defeated by N." Zoey said to everyone.
"N? As in the letter." Mako said to Zoey. "Yeah I don't know why he's called that. Anyway. I battled N and defeated him, then Ghetsis the dark master of Team Plasma showed up and revealed his true intentions and ran away. I wanted to go after him, but Alder said that now that I defeated N, I have to take my place as Champion and let the cops deal with Ghetsis. But I couldn't so I told Iris that if she defeated N, then she could be Champion, while I handle Ghetsis. A year later I defeated Ghetsis and ended Team Plasma." Zoey said to everyone.
"Then what happened?" Bolin asked Zoey. "After Ghetsis was locked up. Iris came up and said that now that Ghetsis was arrested I should take my place as Champion. But while I chased Ghetsis, I learned that I wanted to be a police officer, and that Iris was an amazing Champion, one that the people love. So I started to train to be a police officer, and hang out with Iris every now and then. With her saying that I should be the champion. Actually those were her last words to me before I was sent here." Zoey said to everyone.
"Wow, what about you Lily, what kind of friends did you have?" Korra asked Lily. "Well I didn't have any traveling friends like Zoey, or friends that become important people like Lucas. My friends were named Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor." Lily said to everyone. "And what were they like?" Korra asked Lily.
"Well we all were energetic, and we all met by chance. We all took different paths to get to places, and always meet up somewhere along the way. Shauna was the person who introduced me to Pokemon Performances. She used to drag me around looking for her dream, then one day we went into a theater together and I saw my first Pokemon Performance, and that's when I knew I wanted to be a Pokemon Performer." Lily said to everyone. "What happened to Shauna?" Asami asked Lily.
"She told me that she found her dream is helping people. So she goes around the Kalos Region, helping everyone she can and making their lives better." Lily said to everyone. "She sounds like a really kind person. Now tell us about this Trevor person." Korra said to Lily. "Trevor is a brainiac and is a big softy. But when push comes to shove he's got your back. Trevor had this dream of completing the Pokedex, and he finished the Hoenn Region, and was heading to the Unova Region. I was going to meet him there, but then I got sent here." Lily said to everyone.
"Sounds like a interesting guy. Now what about the Tierno persono?" Mako asked Lily. "Tierno is probably the easiest guy to explain. He's a dancer and even has this dancing battle style that was hard to predict. He even entered the league and got past the elite four, but lost to our Champion." Lily said to everyone. "How?" Asami asked Lily. "Our Champion is also a world famous actress. And all her times as an actress help her predict all of Tierno's moves. Tierno put up a good fight, but he still lost. But we all charred him on, and he did his best." Lily said to everyone.
"What happened to him after that?" Bolin asked Lily. "Tierno started to perform street dances for the people of Lumiose City, our biggest city. He even started to teach little kids how to dance. He even told me before I left, that he was thinking of starting a dance school." Lily said to everyone.
"Main all of you have such cool friends." Korra said to Lucas, Zoey, and Lily. "Yeah, but we have some pretty cool friends here as well." Lily said to Korra. "And that's just our main friends. We all made lots of other friends in our lives, and it's all thanks to a simple line." Lucas said to everyone, as he looked at Zoey, and Lily. "Everyone on our planet is my friend. Were all friends." Lucas, Zoey, and Lily said at the same time, before laughing a little.
"What does that mean?" Mako asked Lucas, Zoey, and Lily. "It means that you're never alone, that there's a friend just around the connor, and to be kind to everyone you meet. After all, where are all friends right?" Lily said to everyone. "That's an amazing line. "I wonder who made that line?" Asami asked Lucas, Zoey, and Lily. "That's the thing no one knows. The line is old as human history. And while some people ignore it. It was still a treasured part of our history." Zoey said to everyone.
"Man your world sounds incredible all those adventures, all those friends, I would love to see your world." Korra said to everyone. "Who knows maybe one day you will." Lily said to Korra. "But for now how about some star gazing, after all the stars have finally come out tonight." Lucas said as he pointed up. Everyone then looked up to see the night sky filled with stars. "You know if there's on thing constant in both words. It's that, there's nothing like looking at the stars with friends." Lily said to everyone, with everyone laughing a little.
They spend the next hour just looking at the stars calling out constellations, making some up, and telling stories about them. These might not have been the friends Lucas, Zoey, and Lily grew up with, but they wouldn't trade them for anything.
