Book Spirit Part 11
Night Of A Thousand Fighting Stars
Eastern Air Temple
While Tenzin, Korra, Dakota, Lily, Bumi, and Kya head back to the temple with a still soulless Jinora, and Decidueye and Chandelure in their Pokeballs. Pema, and the kids were having some fun, while Pema picked flowers. "Dad's back." Meelo said to everyone, as Oogi and Bree landed near everyone. And while Pema, Ikki, and Meelo were happy to see everyone, they soon noticed the sad looks on everyone else's faces and Jinora not sitting up. "Where's Jinora?" Pema asked. Tenzin then pulled Jinora into his arms and carried her off of Oogi's back. "No!" Pema said as she noticed Jinora, and dropped her flowers.
Pema then ran to Tenzin and took Jinora into her arms. "Her spirit is trapped in the Spirit World, but she's going to be all right." Tenzin said to Pema. "How could this happen?" Pema asked as she held Jinora closer to herself. "It was all my fault. I should have never let Jinora enter the Spirit World without me. I couldn't protect her." Tenzin said to Pema. "I'm so sorry, Pema. We tried to save her, but Unalaq held her hostage and took her away before we could save her." Korra said to Pema. "Don't worry, honey, I'm not going to stop until our little girl is back safe with us." Tenzin said to Pema.
Outskirts Of Republic City
Meanwhile on the outskirts of Republic City Asmai and Lucas were exploring a large two story building, with a lot of large empty rooms with two windows in each room, and a large office space covered in cobwebs on top of the building. "Man Lucas, Varrick got you a nice place." Asami said to Lucas. "Yes, but what am I going to do with it? This place is bigger than I expected and almost feels more like an empty school than an empty printing press." Lucas said to Asami.
"So what are you thinking about doing to it?" Asami asked Lucas. "I'm not thinking about doing anything. I want to get back to searching for Korra and Dakota." Lucas said to Asami. "Lucas, you've been looking for them for a long time and found nothing. You're tired all the time, you're hurt, and you're distant." Asami said to Lucas. "I'm fine." Lucas said to Asami. "I gave you some calming tea and you dropped in seconds." Asami said to Lucas. "I don't see your point." Lucas said to Asami, as he started to leave.
"Lucas, Korra and Dakota are missing, Bolin has been spending all his time with his movies, Lily's who knows where, and Mako and Zoey are in jail. Please I can't lose you too." Asami said to Lucas. Lucas just signed and took a seat. "Sit down tell me what's really going on?" Lucas asked Asami. Asami then sat down. "I'm confused. Things have changed so quickly and not for the better. I don't know what to do." Asami said to Lucas. Lucas then sighed. "Yeah things are out of hand." Lucas said to Asami. "So what can we do?" Asami asked Lucas. "What can we do? Good question. And if I'm being honest nothing." Lucas said to Asami.
"That can't be true?" Asami asked Lucas. "Oh look around you we were the next Team Avatar, but instead of stopping a war or saving the world, we just tore each other apart. And now it's just the two of us." Lucas said to Asami. "What about Bolin? We still have him." Asami said to Lucas. "Do we throw? All he cares about lately is his moves. That's all he ever talks about these days. He even forgot why we started this movie in the first place." Lucas said to Asami. "Good point." Asami said to Lucas, as Lucas' watch made a clicking sound. Lucas then looked at his watch and noticed the time.
"We'll have to finish this therapy session later. We gotta head back and get ready for Bolin's big move, tonight." Lucas said to Asami before groaning. "You don't sound all that excited for it?" Asami asked Lucas. "Thanks to Varrick, buying this palace for me. I've been working with them on their moves. And let's just say Bolin and Varrick are not a good pair for ideas. Each making the idea sillier and sillier. You remember the scene where Bolin kissed Ginger as the drill was coming down. The original script said to have Blin free her, not kiss her. But Bolin did and Varrick liked it, so they rolled with it." Lucas said to Asami.
"It was a strange scene." Asami said to Lucas. "Right. I mean this movie was already a joke from the start but somehow Bolin and Varrick made it sillier." Lucas said to Asami. "Well should we see how it ends?" Asami said as she got up and held a hand out. Lucas took her hand and stood up. "I know how, bad." Lucas said as they left.
Republic City Police HQ
Later that evening at the police HQ Bolin was seeing Mako. "You've got a visitor." A cop said, as he opened the door to let Bolin, who was wearing a suit, into the cell. "Hey, Mako." Bolin said to Mako. "Hey." Mako said, as Bolin took a seat. "What's with the fancy duds?" Mako asked Bolin, noticing the suit. "I'm on my way to the big finale for Nutuk: Hero Of The South. Yeah, everyone's gonna be there, except for, you know, you and Zoey… because you two are in jail and stuff." Bolin said to Mako.
"Thanks for the reminder." Mako said to Bolin. "Hey, I brought you something. I thought this would brighten up your new place. Read the inscription." Bolin said, as he pulled out a poster of him holding Ginger. Mako then took the poster and read it. "Dear Mako, Nuktuk says, "keep smiling"." Mako said, reading that poster, and not smiling, while Bolin smiled. "Did you come by just to give me a poster?" Mako asked Bolin. "No, I also gave one to Zoey, but she burned it and threw me out of her cell saying that if I come back with another poster "I'll burn that poster while it's wrapped around your head"." Bolin said to Mako, earning him a mean look from Mako.
"And... I came by to give you my sincere, heartfelt words of encouragement to you. I know our lives have been moving in two different directions, but I want you to know that I will always be there for you. We are brothers, after all, even if one of us is a member of high society and the other one is a criminal." Bolin said to Mako.
"We're not criminals!" Mako said to Bolin. "We're? I was talking just about you? Why are you bringing Zoey into this?" Bolin asked Mako. "Cause she's the one person who knows the truth and the real me." Mako said to Bolin. "I know you too, and I know you're not a criminal. But you kinda look like one, and Zoey has been acting like one, I mean you two are in jail, and that's where criminals live." Bolin said to Mako. "We were set up! Varrick knew we had it figured out he was hiring gangsters to pose as Northern soldiers to get Republic City to join the war. That's why he had us arrested." Mako said to Bolin.
"Ah, I see what you're doing. You're going for the insanity defense. Smart. But I don't think that will work for Zoey, maybe a mad defense." Bolin said to Mako. "No! I'm trying to tell you that Varrick isn't what he seems. Where's Asami and Lucas? They'll listen to me." Mako asked them. "I asked Asami to come, but she said it was too hard for her. You two being in jail like this reminds her of her dad. And Lucas has been annoyed with me lately. Okay, gotta run. But I'll be back tomorrow. And I am gonna get you two the best attorneys, fame and fortune can buy." Bolin said to Mako, as he started to leave.
"Bolin, wait. If our theory about Varrick is right, Something might go down tonight at your premiere. Promise me you'll keep your eyes peeled." Mako said to Bolin. "Yeah, Okay, big brother. I promise. Whew! That insanity defense is definitely gonna work." Bolin said to Mako, as he left Mako.
The South Pole
At the South Pole, Tonraq and the rebels were on a hill overlooking the city. "Should we wait another day? Korra and Dakota still might come with reinforcements" A rebel asked Tonraq. "We can't wait any longer." Tonraq said to the rebel. "It's time we take back what is ours! It's time to take back our city!" Tonraq said to his men. They all cheered in agreement. Then Tonraq made an ice board, and slid down the hill. His men followed their leader's lead, and slid down the hill with their own ice boards. One of Unalaq's men noticed Tonraq and his men from his watch tower, and sounded the alarm. Then more of Unalaq's men came out of the forces getting ready for a fight.
Republic City Arena
Back in Republic City, reporters and cops were all standing outside the arena, with the reporters taking pictures of the people walking to the arena, to see Bolin's movie, and the cops to make sure nothing happens tonight.
"There they are, folks the sweethearts of the Big Screen, And Republic City's most famous couple, Bolin and Ginger." The Announcer said as Bolin and Ginger stepped out of a car, held their arms together, and entered the arena. "Wow, that was fun. And did you hear what Shiro said? We're Republic City's most famous couple." Bolin said to Ginger, liking what The Announcer said to them. "Bolin, you're a doll, but you're as dumb as the rocks you bend. We are not a couple." Ginger said to Bolin as she walked away. "That's not what Shiro said." Bolin said to Ginger.
Back outside Lu and Gang were eating some jelly fluid cakes, when Lin walked to them. "Stop stuffing your moustaches with Varri-Cakes. And get to your post!" Lin said to Lu and Gang, making them drop their food. "You got it, boss." Lu said to Lin with his mouth full. "You two are the pinnacle of refinement." Lin said to Lu and Gang.
"This Star-Studded event just keeps getting star-studdier, folks. President Raiko and the First Lady, Buttercup Raiko just arrived." Shiro said as President Raiko showed up in a limo with his wife. "And they're being greeted by entrepreneur extraordinaire, Varrick." Shiro said as Varrick walked up to meet President Raiko.
"There they are, my two most honored guests." Varrick said to President Raiko and his wife, as he greeted them. "What do you think? No expense had been spared. I brought in the finest entertainers from Ba Sing Se and the best food from around the world. Heck, I even had this red carpet imported from the Fire Nation. They make the best red stuff over there. In fact- all right, picture time!" Varrick said to them, as he walked them to the arena, only to stop for the reporters, letting the reporters take a picture of them.
"Varrick, you didn't have to do all this for us." President Raiko said to Varrick, as the reporters took pictures. "I wanted to. Mr. President, I took one look at your wife, and I knew that you were a man of exquisite taste. And that's why I know you're gonna love this movie!" Varrick said to President Raiko. "Varrick, I know what you're doing, and I doubt your propaganda is going to change my mind about going to war with the Northern Water Tribe." President Raiko said to Varick. "Oh, I think you'll be surprised how persuasive I can be." Varrick said to President Raiko.
Soon the three of them went in, and everyone took their seats getting ready for the movie. Then the lights all turned off, and a spotlight appeared on Varrick who was in the middle of the arena.
"Thank you all for coming to the finale of Nuktuk: Hero of the South. You know, when I first started this project, there were a lot of naysayers out there. "You can't make a picture move," they said. "You can't take some knucklehead earthbender and make him a star," they said. "You can't have Pokemon in it'" they said. "You can't teach a polar bear dog to speak," they said. Well, they're wrong. Thanks to the magic of the movies, our furry friends have found their voices and you'll be shocked to hear what they have to say. They speak of the injustice that's happening in the Southern Water Tribe right now. My hope is that their words and this epic movie will inspire a real-life hero to rise up and help. Thank you again. Enjoy the show." Varrick said to everyone.
As Varrick gave his speech, Bolin's excited look turned to "wait what" look. President Raiko tried not to look at Varrick. And Lucas was getting antsy and annoyed with Varrick.
Then the movie started. "When last we left our hero. He was captured by the evil Unalaq's dastardly Dark Spirits." The Narrator of the movie said, as it showed Bolin being carried in the air by Orbeetle in his dark spirit costume. But amazingly, by using his sweat, he waterbend a water ball into the spirit's face, making the spirit free Nuntuk." The Narrator said as a water ball hit Orbeetle, causing him to let go of Bolin.
"And decided to seek out counsel." The Narrator said, as the scene changed to Bolin standing in a ocean set, with of Coalossal, who was covered in light blue paint, that made him look like he was made of ice, not rocks. "This battle is not one you can do alone." Coalossal's voice actor said to Bolin. "Thank you, wise sage. I will travel to Republic City and seek help." Bolin said to Coalossal as the scene turned to a model of Republic City.
The scene changed to Bolin walking into President Raiko's office, with President Raiko actor doing some science experiments. "Have a seat. I'm just working on a cure for the common cold. No longer will my citizens suffer from the sniffles." President Raiko actor said to Bolin. "Mr. President, there's something more important than the sniffles right now. I need your help to stop the evil Unalaq." Bolin said to President Raiko actor. "Did you say "help"? If there is one thing I love doing, it's helping people." President Raiko actor said to the camera.
"Interesting choice for the sage, but the portrayal of this president is right on the money." Buttercup Raiko said to President Raiko, making President Raiko small. But Bolin wasn't happy. "I think this is your best movie yet." Asami said to Bolin. "And I liked having Coalossal as the sage." Asami said to Lucas. "Originally Varrick wanted to use a seal and Coalossal as a Dark Spirit. But I would allow either of that to happen." Lucas said to Asami. "Still a good movie." Asami said to Lucas. "I just wish Mako was here to see it. And for some reason I want Zoey here too." Bolin said to everyone.
Back outside a boat with a couple people in water tribe uniform docked under the outer edge of the arena. Inside Lu and Gang were not doing their job and eating more Varri-cake and talking about them. "Mmm. I like to eat the top off the Varri-Cake first." Gang said to Lu. "I just try to shove the whole thing in my mouth at once." Lu said to Gang, as he shoved a cake into his mouth. "I love our job." Gang said, not noticing the four men coming in through the window. But when they did notice the men, they got knocked out by a burst of water, dropping their food. The men then threw Lu and Gang into the same locker.
Back inside the movie was at the part where Bolin had his wrist chained to the wall. "Northern Water tribe Automatons!" Bolin said as a couple of Mecha-Tanks rolled up to him. Nooo!" Bolin said. "Bee bo bop, Nuktuk cannot stop Unalaq. Must destroy Nuktuk." A Mecha-Tank said as they moved their pincers closer to the camera. "Not if we have anything about it." Grapploct's voice actor said, as he, Naga, and Pabu appeared in front of Bolin. Grapploct then hit the Mecha-Tanks, not with any force in the hits, but the Mecha-Tanks did move back.
"Don't worry my friend, I will free you in a second." Grapploct's voice actor said, as he wrapped his tentacles around the chains and broke them. "Thank you my friend." Bolin said to Grapploct, as he removed the shackles that were still on his wrist. Then the Mecha-Tanks attacked everyone. Bolin then did some fake waterbending on one of the Mecha-Tanks, and Grapploct used Brick Break on the other Mecha-Tank.
"Looks like you forgot that water and automatons Don't mix." Bolin said to the Mecha-Tanks. "Beep bop boo. Oh, no, circuits not working." A Mecha-Tank said, as it powered down. "We did it!." Bolin said, as he high fived Naga and Grapploct. "But wait. Where's Juji?" Bolin asked, as they noticed Pabu playing dead. "Nik-No!" Naga said. "You can't die, Juji. Not on my watch." Bolin said to Pabu. "It's okay, Nuktuk. At least I got to be… your friend." Pabu said to Bolin before playing dead again. "Juji!" Bolin said as everyone started to cry on screen.
It was at this point Bolin was tired of watching him move and got up and left. Asami and Lucas noticed this and followed him. "Are you okay?" Asami asked Bolin, as they found Bolin overlooking the sea. "It seems like this movie is really getting to you. You do know Juji's not really dead?" Asami asked Bolin, as she and Lucas joined him. "Of course I know. Juji's fine. Rilliaboom used his spirit power to bring him back to life in the end after we saved him from Unalaq. Oops, Spoilers. Sorry." Bolin said, with a very depressed tune in his voice.
"Then What's wrong?" Asami asked Bolin. "Yeah isn't this your big night?" Lucas asked Bolin. "It is. But I guess I just miss my friends. Everything is going so well for me, but it feels empty without everyone around. Korra and Dakota are gone, Lily is who knows where, Mako and Zoey are in jail, and you two are doing… Business stuff. Team Avatar's fallen apart." Bolin said to everyone. "I know. I talked to Lucas about this earlier today. Things have changed so much since we first met." Asami said to Bolin.
"Yeah things have changed a lot." Lucas said to everyone. "Why don't we go back in and finish watching the movie?" Asami said to everyone. "You go ahead. I need another minute." Bolin said to Asami. "I'll stay for a bit as well." Lucas said to Asami. Asami then left the boys.
"So why did you stay?" Bolin asked Lucas. "I figured that if you still… wanted to... talk. Do you hear that?" Lucas asked Bolin, as they heard a banging sound. They looked around to see the small boat, banging against the wooden rods under the arena. "That's weird." Bolin said to Lucas. "Let's check it out." Lucas said to Bolin. The two of them then started to walk.
The soon two of them walked into a hallway. And while walking Bolin slides, and almost did a split. "Bolin, you okay?" Lucas asked Bolin. "I'm fine, but what did I slip on?" Bolin said to Lucas, as they noticed the smushed cake. Then they heard pounding in a locker. Bolin and Lucas then slowly moved to the locker. Bolin opened the locker to find Lu and Gang tied up and stuffed into the locker. "What the?" Lucas asked as he removed the rope around Gang's mouth, and Bolin removed the rope around Lu's mouth.
"They're after the President!" Lu said to Bolin and Lucas. The two of them gasp. "We gotta go." Lucas said to Bolin, as he closed the locker. Then the two of them then started to run. "What about us?" Gang asked, even though Lucas and Bolin were too far away from Lu and Gang.
In the President's seats, the men in the water tribe uniforms quietly entered the room while the move played. "You're too late, Nuktuk. Soon the power of the great spirit will be mine." Unalaq's actor said, as the screen showed him hooked up to a machine with Rillaboom, wearing a vein costume, in a glass container, acting weakly. And Ginger chained to a nearby wall. "Once I have the power. I will remake the world in my image." Unalaq's actor said to Bolin before laughing.
It was at this scene the two of the men wrapped their arms around the heads of the President and his wife. They then proceeded to tie them up. Then the door burst open with Bolin standing in front of Lucas. "I don't think so." Bolin said to the man, at the same time his movieself said the same thing. Then Buttercup Raiko screamed at the same time Ginger yelled on screen.
One of the men fired a stream of water at Bolin and Lucas from a container on him. Bolin dodged to the side while Lucas ducked back into the hallway. Bolin then used his earthbending to fire out a piece of the wall, tossing one of the men into the arena's water, getting everyone's attention. Bolin then used his earthbending to get the other three men off the President and his wife, and knocked them into the arena in the middle. Lucas then came into the room and helped unite the President and his wife.
"Mr. President, get back! We're here to help. Lucas keep them safe. I'm going after those men." Bolin said to Lucas, as he jumped off and onto the walkway to the arena below them, ripping his sleeves. "Okay, but take Grapploct with you." Lucas said to Bolin, as he let Grapploct out of his Pokeball and next to Bolin. Bolin then ripped off his sleeves, and Grapploct threw out some punches. All of this intimidated the men, and caused them to take a few steps back onto the arena.
"Looks like there's nowhere to go." Bolin said to the men. Having no other choice they fired a water blast at Bolin and Grapploct, making the crowd gasp. "Secure the President and call for backup immediately!" Lin said to the cops, as Bolin and Grapploct dodge the men's water attacks. While dodging, Bolin earthbend a few earth disks out of the arena and kicked a few, while Grapploct tossed the rest at the men. Most of the disks hit one of the men, knocking him out, while a few others missed the other two men.
Then one of the men tried a physical water attack, but Bolin and Grapploct dodged him, but not the stream of water that came from the other man. "Bolin/ Nuktuk, look out!" Giger said to Bolin, as her movieself said the same thing. Bolin and Grapploct were then forced to the back, and Bolin then earthbend two large piles of earth disk to block the attacks of the two men, with Grapploct was hiding behind. Meanwhile on the screen Bolin and Grapploct were doing the same thing but with water not earth. Bolin and Grapploct then started to hit the pill of earth disks at the men, making them stop their attacks.
"This is unbelievable! Bolin is bending two full stacks of earth discs at once with Grapploct helping him, which would normally be illegal. But then again, they're fighting three waterbenders, so all rules are out the window." Shiro said, as Bolin and Grapploct attacks knocked out one of the men. The last men then fired rapid fire water shots at Bolin and Grapploct. Bolin used some reath disk to block the attacks, as they moved around the arena. Bolin then bent an earth disk at the man, and the man quickly turned it into a pile of dust. Grapploct used this dust to get close and hit him with Brick Break, to toss him into the air. Bolin took this chance to shoot one more earth disk at the man, forcing him against one of the speakers.
"Tell me who sent you!" Bolin said, as he got an earth disk ready to fire, and Grapploct got ready to use Brick Break again. "It was Varrick. Please don't hurt me, Nuktuk!" The man said to Bolin, as he started to cowered before Bolin and Grapploct. This surprised everyone, and they all turned to Varrick, who was still in his seat with Zhu-Li.
"I think this is our cue to exit." Varrick said to Zhu-Li. They then turned to the exit, only to find Lin and a few cops standing in the only way out. "Where do you think you're going?" Lin asked Varrick. Varrcik then has his eyes wander everywhere wondering what to do. Meanwhile Bolin had a shocked/crushed look on his face. It was at this point the man tried to rush Bolin, but Grapploct wasn't as distracted as Bolin, and grabbed the man and tossed him into the air. Bolin then fired an earth disk at the man, making the man crash into the water.
"It's a knockout!" Shiro said, as the crowd cheered for Bolin and Grapploct's. Even Asami and Lucas cheered for them. It was at this moment Bolin really felt like a hero.
The South Pole
The same could be said for Tonraq. He and his men were able to drive back Una;aq's men. "They're falling back." Tonraq said to his men, celebrating too soon. Cause that's when they noticed the group of large Dark Spirits, with Eska and Desna standing with the Spirits. Then Unalaq came flying in, on a large dark manti spirit. All of this made Tonraq mad.
Republic City Arena
Back in Republic City, Varrick, Zhu-Li, and his men were getting loaded into a police card. "Varrick's plan was to kidnap you and blame it on the North. Then Republic City would have no choice, but to join the war on the side of the South." Lin said to President Raiko. "I can't believe Varrick would do something like this, and no one saw it coming." President Raiko said to Lin.
"Actually, two people did. Remember Mako and Zoey?" Lin asked President Raiko. "You've got some great officers on your hands." President Raiko said to Lin. "They're two of the best." Lin said to President Raiko.
Meanwhile the reporters were taking pictures of Bolin and Grapploct, when Ginger ran up to Bolin and kissed him. "I can't believe my boyfriend is a real-life hero." Ginger said to Bolin. "Boyfriend? Wait, stop. I thought you said we Weren't a couple." Bolin asked Ginger. "You really are as dumb as those rocks. Of course we're a couple." Ginger said to Bolin, before kissing him again.
"Only because he's famous, parasite." Lucas said to Ginger, under his breath as he and Asami walked to Bolin. "Bolin, you saved the President. And you proved Mako and Zoey were right all along. We have to go tell them what happened." Asami said to Bolin, while he was still kissing Ginger. "Yeah." Bolin said to Asami taking a little break from kissing Ginger, but then got back to kissing her. This annoyed Lucas and Asami, so they both cleared their throats. "Oh, you meant right now." Bolin said to Asami.
Then they heard a bellow in the sky and looked up to see Oogi and Bree flying above them. Oogi and Bree landed right in front of President Raiko. Korra was the first to get off Oogi and Dakota got off Bree. "President Raiko…" Korra said to President Raiko, as she and Dakota ran to him. "Avatar Korra, what's wrong?" President Raiko asked Korra, as everyone else got off Oogi and Bree. "Sir, I know I've asked for your help before, but things have changed. Unalaq doesn't just want to take over the south anymore. He's going to destroy the whole world." Korra said to President Raiko, shocking President Raiko.
"Unalaq is gonna destroy the world? He really does have a doomsday device?" Bolin asked Korra, as he, Lucas, Asami, and Ginger ran to Korra. "What?" Dakota asked Bolin. "Varrick has been making movies while you were gone. With Unalaq having Dark Spirits, and an end of the world device." Lucas said to Dakota. "Well he got the Dark Spirits right." Dakota said. "What wait?" Lucas asked Dakota.
"We can talk more about it later." Korra said to Lucas. "Unalaq is trying to release a powerful Dark Spirit during Harmonic Convergence, which is only a few days away. If he does that, the world as we know it is dead. Sir, we desperately need your help." Korra said to President Raiko. "I'm sorry, Korra, but my answer is still no." President Raiko said to everyone, shocking all of them. "There are lives on the line! And my daughter is one of them. Raiko, you must reconsider." Tenzin said to President Raiko.
"I'm aware that lives are on the line, and that's precisely why my troops are staying here. If the world is going to be thrown into chaos, like you claim, I need to protect my citizens. I'm sorry." President Raiko said to Tenzin. "The world won't be thrown into chaos. It will be gone. There will be nothing left of it." Dakota said to President Raiko. "Sir… Nuktuk needs your help. I know you love helping people." Bolin said to President Raiko. "Son, I appreciate you saving my life, and I'm a big fan of your work, but my decision is final." President Raiko said to Bolin.
"President Raiko, defending Republic City won't do anything. To save your people, we gotta stop Unalaq. Because the second he wins, we all lose." Dakota said to President Raiko. "I heard enough. Goodnight." President Raiko said before leaving. "I never should have saved that guy." Bolin said to everyone. "I'm sure Arceus will take him if we fail." Dakota said to Bolin. "Wait? What?" Bolin, Asami, and Lucas asked. "Long story short, if we don't stop Unalaq, Arceus will destroy the planet." Dakota said to everyone.
"Why would he do that?" Lucas asked Dakota. "Apparently this planet is located in a pool of energy and if the Dark Spirit Unalaq, trying to free, gets out. That pool of energy will turn toxic, and poison the cosmos. Arceus won't let that happen." Dakota said to Lucas. "Oh this is not good. Not good. Not good. Not good. Not good. Not good." Lucas said as he started to pace back and forth.
"Lucas In need you to calm down." Korra said to Lucas, using her arms to stop him. "How can I? The world is going to end." Lucas said to Korra, getting antsy. "I know things are bad. Look I know, now's probably not the best time for this. But I want to say you were right. I was blaming others for my mistakes, and taking it out on others. And now my mistakes have doomed the planet. But I need your help to fix my mistake." Korra said to Lucas, calming Lucas down.
"Do you know how worried I was? You just left us." Lucas said to Korra. "I know and I'm sorry. I was running from my mistakes. Not waiting to face them. But now I have to. So will you help me?" Korra asked Lucas. "Like you even need to ask." Lucas said to Korra, holding out his head for a fist bump. Korra returned the fist bump. This made Lucas' eyes glowed green and he sat down soon after that, rubbing his feet. "Ow, what's wrong with my feet?" Lucas asked, as he took off his shoes showing the blisters that covered most of the bottom of his feet. "And what happened to my feet?" Lucas asked.
"Don't you remember, you've been walking barefoot for a while now?" Bolin asked Lucas. "I have?" Lucas asked. "Yes. Haven't you been paying attention?" Asami asked Lucas. "Kinda, it's all blurry in my head." Lucas said to Asami. "Here I'll heal you. We need you back in the fight." Dakota said to Lucas, as he pulled out some water and healed Lucas' feet.
"Well if you guys need help, I'm here for you." Asami said to Korra. "Yeah, me too." Bolin said Korra. "And me, once I can feel my feet." Lucas said to Korra. "Give me a minute." Dakota said to Lucas. "Thank you. It's so good to see you guys again. Wait, where are Mako and Zoey?" Korra said and asked Bolin, Asami, and Lucas. Then the three of them looked at each other. "Aaah, about that." Lucas said to Korra.
Republic City Police HQ
Some time later, Bolin entered Mako's cell, wearing his normal clothes. "So how was the big premiere?" Mako asked Bolin. "I saved the President! In real life!" Bolin said to Mako. "Wait, what?" Mako asked. "You and Zoey were right about Varrick. He tried to kidnap Raiko!" Bolin asid to Mako. "I knew it." Mako said to Bolin. "But it didn't work, because of you. And because of me. Pulse a little help from Lucas. Let's just say we all did good. Beifong says you two are free to go." Bolin said to Mako, as he led Mako out of the cell. "Sorry for ever doubting you, Mako." Bolin said to Mako. "Don't worry about it, Bro." Mako said to Bolin.
A few minutes later, Mako got back his stuff, and was dressed in his normal clothes. Mako and Bolin then walked out of the prison. While walking they ran into Zoey, who was back in her normal outfit. "Hey Mako." Zoey said to Mako. "Zoey, you okay?" Mako asked Zoey. "I'm fine, but the same couldn't be said for my cell." Zoey said to Mako, making the two of them laugh a little. Then the three of them head to the main lobby of the Police HQ.
There they were met with a cheering crowd from the gang and some cops. "Nice job, Mako and Zoey. You two are going to make some great detectives." Lin said to Mako and Zoey. "But, chief, there aren't any detective openings right now." Lu said to Lin. "Actually, we have two openings." Lin said to Lu, quietly saying you and Gang are fired. This made Zoey smile at Lin cause her dream was coming true, and Mako smile at Asami.
But then Korra ran to them, and the smile on Zoey's face turned into a frown. "Stay back." Zoey said to Korra, as she burst out her fire claws. "Whoa that's new." Korra said to Zoey, stopping in her tracks. "Want to see what they can do. I can take you to my cell or I can give you a first hand experience of what they can do." Zoey said to Korra as she held her hands up letting Korra get a closer look at her claws.
"I can see you're still upset." Korra said to Zoey. "You think?" Zoey asked Korra. "Look I know things with you and my boyfriend ended badly, but can you please calm down?" Korra said to Zoey. "Boyfriend? Do you remember what you did?" Zoey asked Korra. "Not really everything is a little funny. I know we all had a fight, but that's about it." Korra said to Zoey.
This made Asami annoyed, and made Mako, Bolin, Lucas, and Dakota worried. Cause they all remembered that they broke up, but apparently Korra doesn't remember that. "Whatever, just get lost." Zoey said to Korra, putting out her flame claws, and turning away from Korra. "I can't, I need your help to save the world." Korra asked Zoey. "Why because you broke the world too?" Zoey asked Korra, not looking at Korra.
"Look I know I haven't been the best Avatar or the best friend lately. But I need your help." Korra said to Zoey. "You think?!" Zoey asked Korra, turning to Korra. "But I'm trying to be better. And we really need your help." Korra asked Zoey. "For what? To fix your mistakes?" Zoey asked Korra. "Yes. Because of me, Aruces is going to end the world." Korra said to Zoey.
"What! Why?" Zoey asked. "Because I believed in Unalaq and not my friends. I opened the spirit portals, allowing Unalaq to free an ancient Dark Spirit that will destroy everything. And when I tried to fix it, I got Jinora captured by Unalaq, now her spirit is gone, and soon the Dark Spirit will be free. Once that happens, Arceus will end the world." Korra said to Zoey, making Zoey think. "But why would Unalaq want this?" Zoey asked. "We had a run in with him and asked. Apparently he thinks that this Dark Spirit, Vaatu, will kill Arceus and take his place. Unalaq's reward for helping him with the god throne right next to him." Dakota said to Zoey.
"Like that will happen. Zoey said to Dakota. "Zoey. You can be mad at me, I deserve it. But right now, I really need your help. Without you, we can save the world, or Jinora. If you won't do it for me, then do it for her, she needs us." Korra said to Zoey. Zoey then sighed. "Fine for Jinora, and a little for you." Zoey said to Korra, with an annoyed tune in her voice. Korra then hugged her, surprising Zoey. "Thank you." Korra said to Zoey. Then Zoey's eyes glowed green for a few seconds, before turning to normal. "No problem." Zoey said to Korra, with a calm voice.
"Korra, Zoey, I'm sorry to interpret, we don't have much time. We need to figure out how to deal with Unalaq." Tenzin said to Korra. "Easier said than done. I mean you heard the president, we're on our own. And I don't know anyone that would help us." Dakota said to Tenzin. "Actually I think I know just the man to talk to." Bolin said to Dakota.
A few minutes later the team, and Lin were standing in front of Varricks very fancy cell. "Guys, hey! What do you think? Varrick Industries built this prison, and I had this cell made special. I had a feeling I'd end up here one day." Varrick said to everyone. "I don't know if I should give you points for planning ahead or if you are crazy." Lucas said to Varrick. "Points for planning ahead. Zhu-Li, come on! We got guests. Whip up a pot of that green tea I love." Varrick said to Lucas, as he snapped his fingers for Zhu-Li to come out from the back.
"Yes, sir." Zhu-Li said to Varrick. "Zhu Li's in prison with you?" Korra asked Varrick. "Of course. I don't go anywhere without my assistant. Do you?" Varrick asked Korra. "We don't have assistants." Dakota said to Varrick. "Enough, we didn't come here for tea." Zoey said to everyone. "She's right this isn't a friendly visit." Mako said to Varrick.
"Don't tell me you guys are still mad about everything that happened. I did some good things too. Korra, who warned you about Unalaq? I did. Dakota, who drove the boat that freed you? I did. Bolin, Who got you into the movies? I did. Asami, Who saved your company? I did. Lucas, who made you the official vice president of both of our companies? I did. Mako, Zoey, who got you thrown in jail? I did! Oh, yeah, I guess that was a bad thing." Varrick said to everyone.
"You stole everything from me, and you tried to kidnap the President. Those are pretty bad too," Asami said to Varrick. "I wasn't going to hurt him. I just need to start a war." Varrick said to Asami. "I thought you did that when you tried to kidnap Unalaq?" Zoey asked Varrick. "Well, a bigger war." Varrick said to Zoey. "Well, we're gonna end it. Where's all the stuff you stole from Asami?" Bolin asked Varrick. "The future industries stuff? It's on my battleship." Varrick said to bolin. "You have a battleship?" Korra asked Varrick.
"Of course I do! I bought the first one they made, named her the Zhu-Li." Varrick said to Korra. "You named your battleship after your assistant?" Bolin asked varrick. "Okay it's official you're crazy." Lily said to Varrick. "I'm not. I named my ship that, 'cause they're both cold, heatless war machines." Varrick said to Lily. "Your tea, sir." Zhu-Li said to Varrick, as she poured him a cup of tea. "I can see the cold part, but not the heatless war machine part." Lily said to Varrick.
"Look, I am truly sorry for the mess I caused. Let me make it up to you. Take Zhu-Li." Varrick said to everyone, making Zhu-Li look at Varrick. "My battleship, it's yours, and everything on it." Varrick said to everyone. "It's Not the fleet we were looking for, but it's the next best thing." Korra said to everyone. "All right! Team Avatar is back in business!" Bolin said, as he pulled everyone into a group hug.
Sea
After getting all the need, and Asami giving back Zoey's Pokemon, while Dakota reunited with his, the team, Tenzin, Bumi, Kya, and a still soulless Jinora, where on Varric's war ship heading for the south pole getting some sleep, with Naga, Oogi, and Bree sleeping on the deck, and Korra up on top of the crows nest telling Zoey and Lucas about their past lives.
"So the five of us are the reincarnations of the first team Avatar?" Lucas asked Korra. "Yep." Korra said to Lucas. "And just when I thought our lives couldn't get any weirder." Zoey said to everyone. "Yeah things are a mess. Jinora's gone, and my uncle has lost his mind. He thinks helping Vaatu will make him a god. But inside it he will kill us all. I don't know what to do." Korra said to everyone
"It's okay. We're gonna stop Unalaq and get Jinora back." A voice said to everyone. Everyone turned around to see Mako walking up to them. "Easier said than done. These are some of the biggest stacks of your lives. We mess up a little, good people will get hurt or worse." Lucas said to Mako. "I hope my dad's all right." Korra said to everyone. "Tonraq is tuff, so long as he's not in over his head, he'll be fine." Dakota said to Korra, as they all hugged each other.
The South Pole
And in over his head, is exactly what he was in. He and his men were trying to fight against the Dark Spirits, but they were losing badly, with the spirits disappearing and reappearing attacking everyone, while Eska and Desna knocked everyone off their feet with their waterbending. "Get the men and fall back." Tonraq said to one of his men. "What about you?" The man asked Tonraq.
Tonraq didn't answer, he just looked at his brother standing in the middle of a group of Dark Spirits and his men, watching everything. "I'm going to end this right now. Go!" Tonraq said to the man, before he made an ice wall in the middle of Eska and Desna, making them jump back a little. Tonraq took this chance to run towards his brother and attack, hitting a few of Unalaq's men, the rest then charged at Tonraq, but Tonraq froze them all.
"Hello, Tonraq. Looking for me?" Unalaq asked Tonraq, as he stood on top of some stairs, cracking a cocky smile. Tonraq fired a large stream of water at Unalaq. Unalaq made a large ice block to block this attack. Unalaq then hurled the ice block at Tonraq, dealing some damage. "Brother, I'm too strong for you." Unalaq said to Tonraq. "You're no brother of mine. You betrayed me. You had me banished." Tonraq said to Unalaq. "Yes, I did." Unalaq said to Tonraq.
This made Tonraq charge in rage. But before he could strike a chunk of ice came out of nowhere and hit Tonraq in the right side of his body, and made Tonraq crash into a nearby building. Tonraq then noticed the ice came from Eska and Desna, who were getting ready to fire two streams of water. "Stop! He's mine." Unalaq said to Eska and Desna. Eska and Desna then stopped bending, and stepped back, as Tonraq got up, and Unalaq walked towards Tonraq.
"You are not the true chief." Tonraq said to Unalaq. "No I'm not. I'm something more. I will be a god. And you will bow to me." Unalaq said to Tonraq, making a snow title wave, making Tonraq crash into the men he froze. Tonraq quickly recovered and fired a stream of water at Unalaq. But Unalaq caught it, and tossed it back at Tonraq, while turning it to ice. Unalaq then fired more ice spikes at Tonraq. Tonraq was able to doged the ice attacks, and move closer to Unalaq. Once Tonraq got close enough Unalaq switched to water attacks, while Tonraq used ice to block and dodged Unalaq attacks.
Tonraq then got within arms reach of Unalaq, and grabbed Unalaq. But before Tonraq could punch Unalaq, Unalaq countered with a column of ice, hitting Tonraq in the gut forcing him to let go of Unalaq and sending Tonrag flying. Tonraq then cashed laned in the middle of the street, and was having a hard time getting up. Unalaq then unbened the ice, and wrapped Tonraq in a column of water before freezing him.
All this made Unalaq tired, and made Tonraq mad. But then Unalaq cracked a big smile in victory, while Tonraq accepted defeat. But Unalaq wasn't done, he bended one more ice chunk at Tonraq, breaking Tonraq out of the ice, and dealing a lot of damage. "Now that I've defeated you, your daughter and her friends are next. Then Arceus. And I'll become a god." Unalaq said to Tonraq.
