Can you guess where this is heading? :3

Hello, its been quite long since I updated. Sorry about that but here's another chapter of MASH.

Honestly, this chapters feels a little like a filler but it's leading somewhere so it can't be helped.

WARNING!: A little hints and mention of rape (a little short bracket of it)

Chapter 7 ~ Strawberries

Ace asked him once about strawberries and other fruits he's seen in his picture book. Luffy had placed a bookshelf and filled it with books, because if it's up to him, Ace would not be brainless. Though the raven has little interest in books unless it has colours and unique things, maybe he should take the boy for some hands-on learning instead. That's a plan.

Anyway, since their island was a tropical one, there were some fruits Luffy couldn't find. And even if Goa kingdom sold them, it tends to be bad because the selfish king hogs the fresh ones.

So, that was why he decided to get some for Ace before his third birthday. Luffy had packed some money and… actually that's all he needs. But the villagers insisted on providing him with food and water for his trip anyway, which he accepted politely.

They were currently in Party's Bar, where Ace would be staying with Makino for a while. He had a tiny backpack packed with his necessities.

"Nii-chan, whe you goin? Can I come too?" Ace asked, pouting at the brink of tears. He was holding onto Luffy's black pants.

It kinda hurt to see that, this would be the first time he's leaving Ace alone, well not totally alone. Makino promised to take care of him, actually she's quite excited to take care of Ace, and Luffy trusts her. Apparently she has always wanted a younger sibling to take care of.

Luffy squats down to pat his head, and pulls off his bandages in public for once. Giving Ace a soft smile, eliciting blushes from several customers that were watching the exchange.

His eyes were pretty, but that and his crescent scar was the only thing most villagers had seen. Many had been wondering what he looked like under those bandages, while some jealous ones said he would be ugly without them. How wrong.

"You're still a chibi, my little ototo," Luffy chuckled lightly. "I won't take long, and will tell you all about my adventure, okay?" he tried.

Ace looked reluctant but nodded grudgingly at the end, rushing in for a hug. "Mmm, promise?" He mumbled through Luffy's clothes.

The siren ruffled his hair, "I promise," he said, lifting his pinky.

Ace tilted his head sideways, confused. Luffy chuckled lightly, taking his tiny hand to tangle their pinky together.

"It's a tradition on one of the islands in the Grandline, that if we do this, it means the promise is sealed," Luffy explained, causing Ace's eyes to widen in wonder.

Though in reality, it was said that if a promise made on that island was broken, the person's pinky would be twisted to a mess, preventing them from making any more promises. (Of course he didn't tell lil Ace)

"I'll take good care of him," Makino said, holding onto Ace's shoulders as they said goodbye to him.

Luffy offered her a smile, "see you soon, Ace!" He waved, as his tiny boat drifted away from the dock. He could see Ace smiling even though he seemed upset too.

'Umi-sama, can I offer you some help?' Midori asked.

Luffy looks at the side of the boat to see him lurking just below the sea. "No need, Midori, just take care of Ace and the island while I am away," he said.

The siren was actually planning to just swim and pull the boat on his own, but for now he'll sail until he's farther from Dawn island.

'Hai, goshujin-sama,' he responded, before swimming away.

Luffy took off the bandages around his nose and mouth, rewrapping it around his eyes this time. He'd prefer if no one else saw his eyes, even if it might be weird, let them assume he's blind.

Once they were far enough, Luffy folded his cloak and dived into the sea. Tying a rope attached to the dinghy around his waist, and transforming into a siren.

Don't ask about his clothes, he doesn't know how it works either. After a while he stopped asking how some things work as a deity. It's unexplainable. (or I just dk how to explain :P)

His legs would merge to form a single huge tail with even larger fins, providing great strength. It allows him to swim at an incredible speed, even create waves.

His tail is greenish blue, scales from the tail would slowly fade towards the stomach. His arms would also have splatters of blue scales, his nails long, like claws.

Luffy swam to the reverse mountain and used it to get to the north blue, on the dinghy. Which thankfully didn't break.

Then he got a sea king from the calm belt to pull it until he found the winter island he was looking for, Fua island. It is famous for its variety of fresh and sweet fruit produce.

After Luffy docked on a beach by the forest, he walked to the island sensing the presence. Though there's something wrong about the resident's auras, they were mostly scared.

Many people were staring at him, probably because he's cloaked and his face was covered in bandages. He ignored it and went to the nearest shop in town.

"Excuse me ma'am, do you sell fruits?"

"O-oh, yeah, but I don't have much of the fresh ones left," she responded quietly.

"Oh? I thought this island was famous for its fruits?" Luffy asked, slightly disappointed and indirectly asking what happened.

"Ah! I-I shouldn't say," she stammered, her presence agitated, "you better stay away from this island sir, it's not safe anymo-"

She was interrupted by the sounds of glass breaking, it was really loud. "Oh, no, Tamara's bar!" She gasped, hands on her mouth.

He assumed Tamara was the bar's owner and her presence was cowering, surrounded by several other stronger ones. Abnormally strong for the blues. There were also others, probably patrons who were beginning to run away from the area.

And something was beginning to make Luffy angry, and that's bad. It was a kid's presence, he was getting beaten up by those adults in a corner.

They reminded him of Makino and Ace back home, he turned with purpose and headed towards the bar.

"Wait! Sir, don't," the shop owner yelled, holding his wrists. "They're pirates! They always travel in groups, it's too dangerous," she cried.

A part of Luffy was angry that she didn't help and stopped him, but a part of him says that she's just worried for him. Though, there were some people who tried to help the barlady, only to get hurt.

At least he's beginning to learn all these complex emotions of being a human.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine," Luffy said blankly, unhooking her trembling hands from his wrist.

Luffy thinks there's something more to her fear, not only from threats and beating. A deeper wound.

The deity marched into the bar, ignoring the shout and yells directed at him. He frowned, sensing the kids weak and hurt aura, and the scared woman's.

They're tearing her clothes, they were going to rape her. (chains, cold chains, painful tearing in his back, rocking, moans, something shoved into him, screa- STOP)

"WHO ARE YOU?!" A man shouted, his aura felt disgusting, slimy.

Luffy said nothing, his hand reached for nothing underneath his cloak.

"Stay out of our business, blind boy!" Another yelled.

"HELP! Help my boy, please!" The woman begged.

A man slapped her, "shut up, you bitch!" (bitch, *slap* you like that don't you slut- STOP)

They barely noticed the raven's movement before one of the men got too close, and his brains decorated the wall. There was silence, everyone stared at the bandaged teen.

He stood, relaxed, but straight. Raven hair, taut lips, half his face covered in bandages. In his hand, was a beautiful glass staff. Based on the blood and position, he had bashed in the man's head.

"He killed Jack," one of them gasped.

"GET HIM!" Another shouted.

It seems they were the type that had no qualms about an unbalanced fight, since they all charged. Well it is unbalanced whether they all attacked him or not, it would be in the siren's favour.

At least the barlady and boy were left alone. Luffy blocked an attack, and exited the bar, taking the fight outside. But there were so many kids around that it looks like he'll have to keep this fight PG-rated.

OOF, I actually have a hard time finding time to write or edit my stories during this sem. It's either I have too much work or I'm just too dead lol. But thanks for your patience. I hope this was okay for now till the next chapter.

Fua - fruit (Samoan), cause I didn't know how to name things so...

Sorry can't help it! :') Love the messed up backstory kind of stories. Also I need more OP fanfics to read T^T, running out.
