Sorry for the wait, I had an important chapter to do for my Grace Story, had computer trouble, a lot of work to do, and some family things. Also a reminder I can't tell Wing and Wei apert, and what I'm using won't tell me either, so unless they talk about each other I have no idea who's Wing or Wei, so I might mess up some of their lines here and there. So here's part 6
Book Change Part 6
Old Wounds And New Friendship
Zaofu
It was morning in Zaofu, and the domes were going down. And the gang, all of their Pokemon, with Mason's Pokemon in their Pokeballs, plus Su, Mason, and Opal were having breakfast in the main dining hall. "Hey, has anyone seen Chief Beifong?" Mako asked, as he noticed Lin was missing. "No since last night." Lucas said to Mako. "She's probably off sulking in her room." Korra said to everyone. "I know she has a problem with me, but she had no right to yell at Opal last night." Su said to Korra. "I'm curious about what's bugging her?" Mason asked, rubbing his chin.
That's when Wing, Wei, Ferrothorn, Excadrill, walked into the room. "All set for your power disc game today, guys?" Su asked Wing and Wei. "Yeah, all set to kick Wei and Excadrill's butt." Wing said to Su. "Me and Excadrill are going to power disc your face." Wei said to Wing, hitting Wing in the gut.
"You should come play with us." Wing said to Korra and Lucas. "Oh, I don't think I'd be much competition since I can't metalbend." Korra said to Wing. "Neither can I. but change it to a rock and you're on." Lucas said to Wing. "Really? Lin never offered to train you?" Su asked them.
"In Metalbending no." Lucas said to Su. "We never thought to bring it up because I was learning airbend, then there was the pro-bending, then we got tied up fighting the Equalists. It was a busy few months." Korra said to Su. "And when it was peaceful. Tenzin hardly gave Korra the free time to do anything but practice airbending. And I was working on my earthbending, plus some business stuff with Asami in my free time." Lucas said to Su.
"Well, it's probably for the best. I'm sure Lin would be a horrible teacher." Su said to them. "I wouldn't say that. Sure she was tough, but she taught me a few good moves, even your family's vibrations trick." Lucas said to Su. "Korra as the Avatar, you should have mastery over all the elements. And Lucas you're the reincarnation of the first earth bending master. I'd be happy to show you both the basics." Su said to them.
"Really? That would be great." Korra said to Su. "And you Lucas?" Su asked Lucas. "Thanks, but I'm good. Something in me tells me I'm not meant to bend metal. Besides, I'm still working on this." Lucas said, before he made a vine grown and wrapped around a fruit. Then Lucas whipped the vine back and into his hands. Lucas then looked at the fruit.
"You should try it too." Opal said to Bolin, making Bolin gulp. "Uh, nan, I'm more of an earth guy. The dirt, rocks, you know, maybe some light gravel- that's kind of where my heart is." Bolin said to Opal. "Okay, earth guy. Well, let me know if you change your mind." Su said to Bolin.
Then all the metal started to shake and move. Soon all of it was sent flying, and everyone took cover, with Lucas, Mason, and Zoey, trying to keep their Pokeballs. That's when they noticed Varrick in a metal suit, with a metal cable attached to Pikachu's cheeks. "It worked! Zhu-Li, mark it down magnet suit test successful." Varrick said to Zhu-Li, as everyone moved out of cover. "Pikachu power down." Varrick said to Pikachu. "Pikachu." Pikachu said, pulling off the cable.
"Varrick I thought I said, I would teach you how to use the electricity of the electric type Pokemon later today." Mason said to Varrick. "But I read your notes and figured it out. Now on to phase two- Zhu-Li and Klink clean up this mess." Varrick said to everyone, before he left with Pickachu. This made Mason, Zhu-Li and Klink sigh.
"Well since breakfast is ruined, I'm going to check on Lin." Zoey said to everyone, leaving the room, and returning her Pokemon to their Pokeballs. "And I'm going to try out my new idea." Lucas said, leaving with the fruit, and returning his Pokemon to their Pokeballs.
"I guess I have an opening in my squale. How about we use that time for Pokemon training for the little one." Mason said to everyone. "I'm up for that." Mako said to Mason. "I don't see why not." Asami said, as she, Mako, Mason, Fennekin, and Scorbunny left.
Back outside Lin was walking around, and noticed two guards, a male and female slacking off, and walked to them. "How many push-ups did you do last night? 'Cause I did, like, 50." The male guard said to the female guard. "What do you two think you're doing? Get back to work." Lin asked the guard, when she reached them. Then Lin groaned and placed her right hand on her head.
That's when Aiwei and Zoey showed up. "Is everything all right here?" Aiwei asked Lin. "The Avatar is in danger, and these two knuckleheads are just standing around chitchatting." Lin said to Aiwei. "Don't worry. Zaofu is the most secure city in the world." Aiwei said to Lin, putting an arm on her shoulder. "I'll be the judge of that. I'm going to check every inch of this place." Lin said to Aiwei.
"Lin, you do not have to work while you are here. You need to relax." Aiwei said to Lin. "Aiwei right Lin. your way more tens than usual. Even with this big treat, you normally keep your cool." Zoey said to Lin. "I'm fine!" Lin said to them, before groaning. "You're not fine. There's clearly something wrong with you." Zoey said to Lin. "Even someone like her, who's not a Truthseer, knows that you are under a dangerous amount of stress. If you don't deal with your repressed feelings, there will be severe consequences to your health and your job." Aiwei said to Lin.
"I'm not interested in talking about my feelings." Lin said to Aiwei. "You won't have to say a word. I know a great acupuncturist in town who will be able to help you." Aiwei said to Lin, holding out a card. Lin took the card. "No thanks." Lin said to Aiwei. "Then we'll do something I like to do to relax. Something I haven't done in a long time." Zoey said, taking Lin away.
An hour later, they were a large open flat part of Zaofu. In this flat part, Pokemon had nests with eggs in them, scattered around the place. And running around and having fun were little kids, both humans and Pokemon. With the mothers and fathers keeping an eye on the kids, and making sure they kids didn't hit the eggs.
"When work and life got too much for me, I would find places like this. It reminds me why we do what we do." Zoey said Lin. "Whatever." Lin said to Zoey, still moody. "Come on. What's it going to take to make you relax?" Zoey asked Lin.
Then a small dark gray cat, with sharp teeth, yellow eyes, black tip curled tail and back paws, black pointy ears, a black coin, a massive hairy face that led into a thick beard, and two horns that curve around the coin and had a black tip.
This cat looked at Lin with some wide eyes. "Meowth." The cat said. "Cool a Galaren Meowth." Zoey said. "A what?" Lin asked Zoey, making Zoey pull out her phone. "A Galaren Meowth is The Scratch Cat Pokemon. A Steel Type. These daring Pokemon have coins on their foreheads. Darker coins are harder, and hader coins garner more respect among Meowth. There are three types of Meowths, this one, a normal type one, and a dark type one. Also this one is a boy" Zoey said to Lin.
"Meowth." Meowth said, rubbing his head against Lin's leg, stretching her armor. "I think he likes you." Zoey said to Lin. "Well I don't." Lin said to Zoey, taking a few steps away from Zoey and Meowth. But Meowth moved to Lin, and started to rub his head against Lin's leg again. "I think we have a clinger." Zoey said to Lin. "I'll take needles over this." Lin said, before leaving. Zoey and Meowth looked at each other, before following Lin.
Back at the manor, Mason led Asami, Mako, and their Pokemon to the open space that he and Lucas battled yesterday. "Okay, you two ready?" Mason asked Mako and Asami, as they took opposite sides of the open space. "Sure." Asami said to Mason, as Fennekin got into position. "Let's do this." Mako said to Mason, as Scorbunny got into position. "I'll go easy on you two, Sandslash come on out." Mason said, as he opened one of his Pokeballs.
From that Pokeball, came a giant light blue mouse like creature, standing on its back legs, on its hands and feet two long silver claws with a small hook end on the tip of the claws, blue silver eyes, and large spikes on its back that looked like they were ice.
"That's cool." Asami said to Mason. "Very. This shiny young man is an Alolan Sandslash The Mouse Pokemon. A Steel and Ice Type. It uses large, hooked claws to cut a path through deep snow as it runs. On snowy mountains, this Sandslash is faster than any other Pokemon." Mason said to Asami. "But wait, from what Lucas, Zoey, Dakota, and Lily told us, that Ice and Steel are 4X weak to fire. So why use that against two fire types?" Mako asked Mason. "Maybe. You two can make the first move." Mason to them.
"Okay Scorbunny/ Fennekin Flame Charge." Mako and Asami said to their Pokemon. "Scorbunny/ Fennekin." the two of them said before charging at Sandslash, encased in fire. "Sandslash use Hail." Mason said to Sandslash. "Sandslash." Sandslash said, before glowing light blue, making a grey cloud appear above their heads. That when it started hail small pinces of ice. But when the ice hit Sandslash, a thick cloud of mist appeared around Sandslash.
Once Scorbunny and Fennekin were in the mist, they lost Sandslash, and stopped, but they did glow red for a few seconds. "Sandslash Metal Claw." Mason said to Sandslash. "Sandslash." Sandslash said, as his claws turned silver. Then surprising Scorbunny and Fennekin, he came out of nowhere and did a uppercut motion with his claw into them. This sent Scorbunny and Fennekin flying back to Mako and Asami.
"What was that?" Mako asked Mason. "Sandslash's ability, Snow Cloak. When Hail is in play, Sandslash is a lot harder to hit. Knowing how to use your Pokemon's ability can help change the battle. For Scorbunny and Fennekin, it's called Blaze, an ability that powers up their Fire Type attacks when their health is low. And while it's useful in a bind. It's not something you two should rely on." Mason said to them.
"Good to know." Mako said to Mason. "You move. And you might want to hurry, so long as it's hailing your Pokemon will be taking damage." Mason said to them. "What do we do? Our Pokemon can't find Sandslash?" Mako asked Asmai. Asmai then thought about it for a few seconds. "I got an idea, have Scorbunny charge into the mist." Asami said to Mako. "Are you sure?" Mako asked Asami. "Trust me." Asami said to Mako.
"Okay. Scorbunny charge into the mist." Mako said to Scorbunny. "Scorbunny." Scorbunny said before charging. "Fennekin use Ember." Asami said to Fennekin. "Fennekin." Fennekin said, as she fired a small burst of fire at the mist. The fire lit up the mist and made them see Sandslash in the mist.
"Scorbunny quick use Double Kick." Mako said to Scorbunny. "Scorbunny." Scorbunny said, jumping up and kicking Sandslash in both sides of his head. The last kick made Sandslash fall to the floor. "Not bad. Using your fire to light up mist. But we're not done yet." Mason said to them, as Sandslash got up.
Republic City Spirit Wilds
In Republic City Spirit Wilds, Zaheer, Ming-Hua, Ghazan, and P'li were hiding in an abandoned building, with the sounds of sirens and growls in the air. Those were the sounds of police and Pokemon looking for them. "Seems like you made quite a stir on Air Temple island. The Cops are swarming the city looking for us. And we even have these Pokemon hunting for us." P'li said to Zaheer, as Zaheer meditated. "You still want to try to take out the president?" Ghazan asked Zaheer. "No. He'll have to wait. We leave today." Zaheer said to everyone, breaking his mediation.
A few minutes later they were on the edge of the Spirit Wilds, hiding at the top of a tree, looking at a large delivery truck. "There's our ticket out of here." Zaheer said to everyone. They all secretly moved to the delivery truck, and Ming-Hua used her waterbending to grab the driver. Then Ming-Hua pulled the diver to the others, and threatened him with an ice spike. "There's no Money. I just made my last delivery." The driver said, thinking he was being rubbed. "We don't want money." Ming-Hua said to the driver.
Zaofu
Back in Zaofu, Lin was laying on a table, with a man, metalbending needles in the air, with Zoey and Meowth outside. The needles then floated above Lin. "How many of those things are you gonna stick in me?" Lin asked the man. "I'll be placing several needles on each of your acupoints. There's nothing to be scared about." the man said to Lin. "I'm not afraid of needles!" Lin said to the man. "Please close your eyes and take a deep breath." the man said to Lin. Lin did what he said, as he put the needles in her.
"This process will correct the imbalances in your Chi. Please tell me if you feel any pain or pressure." the man said to Lin. "I can't feel a thing." Lin said to the man. "That's unusual. You Chi must be powerfully blocked. We're going to need more needles." The man said, bending more needles into Lin. "Acupuncture often taps into people's buried memories. These memories can sometimes be difficult to process." the man said to Lin, making Lin scoff. "Buried memories, uh-huh." Lin said, before a needle was put on her head. That is when a memory flooded her mind.
The Past
In the past, a young Lin, without her scare and her in a rookie police uniform, walked into her home, with a young Su, and two guys looking at some shiny things on the table. "Su, what are you doing home?" Lin asked Su. "Wow. You almost look like a real cop." Su said to Lin. "You're supposed to be in school." Lin said to Su. "Oh, no. Are you gonna tell mom? It's not like she's going to care." Su said to Lin, as one of the guys started to scoop the stuff on the table into a bag.
"Where'd you get all that stuff?" Lin asked them. "Uh, fell off the back of a truck." One of those guys said to Lin. "What are you doing hanging out with these losers?" Lin asked Su. "They're my friends, and you have no right to call them that!" Su said to Lin, taking the bag. "Come on, guys, let's get out of here." Su said to the men, before she started to leave. "Su, Stop!" Lin said, grabbing Su's shoulder.
"Get your hands off me!" Su said to Lin, turning to her, and forcing Lin off her. "You have so much potential. You're ruining your life." Lin said to Su. "At least I have a life." Su said to Lin, before leaving and closing the door.
Zaofu
Back in Zaofu, Lin was starting to sweet and shake. But back at the manor, Su was leading Korra outside, with Treecko and Bronzor following them. Su led them all to an area with a lot of rocks on pedestals. "These meteorites are perfect for beginning metalbenders. The metals have a unique property, making them easier to bend." Su said to Korra, bending off a shard of a rock. Su then bend it into multiple shapes
"That's amazing." Korra said to Su, before Su, bend the rock back into a rock. "Here, try it." Su said to Korra, passing the rock. "Okay." Korra said, trying to bend the rock. Korra constricted hard, but it broke when they heard a branch break. They turned their heads to see Bolin, Pabu, and Numel hiding behind a large rock nearby. Once they were spotted, Bolin pulled him and the others behind the rock.
"Bolin, is that you?" Korra asked Bolin. "No." Bolin said to Korra. "What are you doing?" Korra asked Bolin, making Bolin, Pabu, and Numel come out from behind the rock. "Oh, hey, Ladies, Pokemon. I was just, uh- I was just looking for Pabu and Numel. Pabu! Numel!" Bolin said to Korra and Su, before yelling out, and looking away from Pabu and Numel.
"Pabu's on your shoulder, and Numel's behind you." Korra said to Bolin. Bolin slowly looked at Pabu and Numel. "Oh, look, there you two are. You know, I thought something was chewing on my ear and pants. I'm probably gonna need to get a shot. Pabu has sort of a venom- a venom. And Numel has some venom also. Anyway, so what are you guys doing? You're metalbending over here or something?" Bolin said to everyone, as she walked to the girls, and made Numel roll his eyes as he followed Bolin.
"Want to give it a shit?" Su asked Bolin, figuring out what Bolin was really doing here. "Nan, it's okay. I mean, only, like, one earthbender in a hundred can metalbend." Bolin said to Su. "Well, don't believe everything you hear. The only thing limiting you is your attitude." Su said to Bolin. "You know, well, maybe I'll just- I'll just stay and watch.." Bolin said to Su, before earthbending a set for him.
Korra then started to constrict again. "Try to focus on the fine pieces of earth within the metal." Su said to Korra. Korra then relaxed a little, and she was able to move it a little, not much, the rock now looked like a falling blob. "I can't believe it. I'm metalbending!" Korra said to everyone. "Wow, you picked that up really, really quick. Guess you're that one in a hundred." Bolin said to Korra, feeling down. "Great job, Korra." Su said to Korra, placing a hand on Korra's shoulder. Back with Lin, she was remembering more of her past.
The Past
And what she was remembering was her in a police car, wearing the police armor, with another cop talking over the radio. "Calling all units. Robbery reported on the corner of Fifth and Harbor. Suspects' vehicle headed south on Hao Boulevard. Units responding, identify." the man on the radio said. Lin then picked up the radio. "Unit three responding." Lin said to the radio, before noticing the thieves' vehicle driving past her, and she turned around and went after it.
She chased the thieves for a bit, causing a little panic in the streets, Lin then bend a cable and pulled the left rear wheel off the car, causing the car to spin out of control. Once the car stopped, Lin stopped her car, and jumped out of it. She then fired two cables at two young men that tried to run away from the car. She hooked them and reeled them in. "Leave them alone!" A female voice said to Lin. this made Lin turn and see Su getting out of the thieves car. "Su?" Lin asked.
Zaofu
In the present, Lin woke up and shot the needles out of her, scattering the needles all over the place. "Wait." the man said, moving out of cover. "Leaving in the middle of a session could make you sick." the man said to Lin. "I'm done here." Lin said to the man, but groaned and had a hard time standing. Once she was outside, Zoey and Meowth saw Lin in her weak state. "Lin, what happened in there?" Zoey asked Lin, helping her stand.
"Get off me, I'm fine." Lin said to Zoey, as she tried to force Zoey off her, but was too weak. "No you're not. I'm taking you back inside." Zoey said to Lin. "If you're taking me anywhere it's to my room. Understood." Lin said to Zoey, making Zoey groan. "Fine but it's a bad idea." Zoey said, taking Lin to her room.
Some time later, they were all back in Lin's room, and Zoey helped Lin into a set. That's when the door opened up and they all turned the door, and while Zoey and Meowth saw Korra, Lin saw Su when she was young standing at the door. "Are you gonna stay in your room feeling sorry for yourself all day?" Korra asked Lin, but Lin thought Su asked her. Lin then closed her eyes, and shook her head, turning Su into Korra. "You owe Opal an apology for the way you treated her last night." Korra said to Lin.
"Korra now might not be the best time for that." Zoey said to Korra. "Why? What's wrong?" Korra asked Zoey. "Somethings wrong with Lin." Zoey said to Korra. "Are you okay? You don't look good." Korra asked Lin, as she and Treecko walked into the room. "I'm fine." Lin said, getting up and leaving. But it was clear by how she was walking, she wasn't. Meowth then followed Lin.
"Was that a Pokemon?" Korra asked Zoey. "Yes. a Meowth." Zoey said to Korra. "I always thought Lin was a cat lady." Korra said to Zoey. "I'm glad Lin isn't here to hear that." Zoey said to Korra. "Where do you think she and Meowth went?" Korra asked Zoey.
Where Lin went was back to the acupuncturist, with Meowth quilty following her. Lin burst into the room she was in not long ago. "What did you do to me?" Lin asked the man, leaning against a wall. "I tried to warn you." The man said, before walking to Lin. "Come with me. Let's go finish the session." The man said to Lin, helping her back onto the table. "Just relax and breathe." The man said, before bending some needles into Lin.
The Past
In the past, Lin was mad, and slammed her fist into the thieves car. "So you're robbing stores with the Terra Triad now?" Lin asked Su. "I didn't steal anything. I just drove the car. I owed my friends a favor. It's not a big deal." Su said to Lin. "I'm not letting you get away with this." Lin said to Su, making Su laugh. "Oh. What are you going to do, officer, arrest me?" Su asked Lin, in a mocking tune, before walking away.
"Don't even think about taking one more step!" Lin said to Su, in a mean tune, and making Su stop. But Su didn't listen and continued walking. This made Lin fired a cable at Su, and wrapped it around her right wrist. Su got mad at this, and she metalbend a blade cutting the cable.
But doing this made the cable whip back and hit Lin in the face, making her scar. Su looked at Lin, with a frozen look of regret on her face.
Republic City Kyoshi Bridge
Back in Republic City, the police set up a barricade on the end of the bridge leading out of the city. And the truck that Zaheer, Ming-Hua, Ghazan, and P'li hijacked, with the driver driving it to the barricade, and Zaheer, Ming-Hua, Ghazan, and P'li hiding in the back. Good afternoon. Where are you off to today?" An officer asked the driver, as he walked to the truck.
"I, uh, got a delivery to make in Bao Yu. I should be back later today." the driver said to the officer, feeling the sharp tip of Ming-Hua ice blade in his back right hip. The driver then handed the officer some papers, and the officer looked through the papers. "You all right?" The officer asked, noticing that the diver was acting weird. "Yeah, just a little tired. One more pickup, then I'm clocking out." The driver said to the officer.
This made the officer notice that he changed his story, and it raised a red flag. "I thought you said you had a delivery." the officer asked the driver, making the diver sweat a lot. "Did I?" The driver asked.
This made the police around the truck. "I'm gonna need you to step out of the vehicle. And open the back of the truck." The officer said to the driver. This made Zaheer, Ming-Hua, Ghazan, and P'li realize that they were about to be found out, and get ready to attack. Once the driver was out of his car, he took a few steps and started to run away from the truck, with an officer running after him.
This got the police to rush and open the back, only to get blasted by a burst of air from Zaheer. "Let's get out of here!" Zaheer said to his gang, as Ming-Hua took the wheel and punched it. Making them smash through the barricade, with the police in their cars, following them. P'li then fired combustion bursts at the police cars, knocking a few of them off their tail. Then Ghazan made the road into magma, and took care of the rest of the police cars.
But doing this got the attention of a few Flying type Pokemon, and they charged at them. And while they were able to fire a few attacks, denting the sides of the trucks, and making Ming-Hua lose control for a bit. But Zaheer was able to fire a burst of air, knocking the Pokemon out of the sky, and crash into the bridge. With that, Zaheer, Ming-Hua, Ghazan, and P'li, were in the clear and left Republic City.
Zaofu
In Zaofu, Bolin secretly went to Su's meteorites and when on one, but Numel, was looking, he tried to metalbend. But he couldn't do it, no matter what he trid. "Hey, Bolin." Opal said to Bolin, making Bolin turn around and see Opal and Skarmroy standing nearby. "Opal! Oh, wow. And Skarmory too. You two really know how to sneak up on someone." Bolin said to them, hiding the meteorite behind his back.
"What are you doing?" Opal asked Bolin. "Oh, nothing, you know, just- just thinking about my body and mustaches that I might have in the future." Bolin said to Opal, as he tried to put the meteorite back, but ended up dropping it. "You're acting weird again." Opal said to Bolin. "Sorry. I wasn't really thinking about all my mustaches. I'm just- I'm just frustrated. I've been trying to metalbend, and I can't figure it out. Don't tell anyone okay." Bolin said to Opal.
"Why not?" Opal asked Bolin. "Because it's embarrassing. This isn't the first time I've tried. I mean, I've been wanting to metalbend ever since I heard about Toph. Your grandmother is my biggest hero." Bolin said to Opal, making Opal walk to him. "My mom grew up learning from Toph. just go train with her. Stop being so scared." Opal said to Bolin, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You know what? Maybe I am scared, but what about you? I know that you want to go to the Northern Air Temple to train with Tenzin, but you haven't done it because you're afraid too." Bolin said to Opal.
This made Opal turn away from Bolin. "You know what? You're right. I don't want to leave my family and disappoint my mom." Opal said to Bolin, looking at the city. "Look at us… talking about our feelings, supporting each other." Bolin said to Opal, before hugging her. "It's nice." Opal said to Bolin, embracing the hug.
The Past
Back in the past, Lin and Su were in their mothers Police office, with Lin having bandages over her scare. "What were you thinking?" Toph asked Su. "And what were you thinking?" Toph asked Lin. "You two have put me in an impossible position." Toph said to them. "You're mad at me? She's the one who was running around with criminals." Lin said to Toph. "This is all your fault!" Su said to Lin. "I was doing my job!" Lin said to Su.
"Ugh, all right, enough! Here's what we're going to do. Su, you need to leave the city as soon as possible." Toph said to them. "What? Where am I supposed to go?" Su asked Toph. "You'll go stay with your grandparents. Lin, give me the arrest report." Toph said to them, before Lin passed Toph a few papers.
Toph then started to tear up the papers, much to Lin's surprise. "Mom, what are you doing? You can't cover this up. There were witnesses." Lin said to Toph. "I'm the Chief of Police. I can't have a daughter in jail." Toph said to Lin. "So, once again, Su gets to do whatever she wants, and there are no consequences." Lin said to Toph, making Toph sit down and place her hands on both sides of her head as she sighed. "This is our only option." Toph said to Su.
Zaofu
In Zaofu, the man removed the needles from Lin. "You're going to feel a bit fragile, so it's probably best if you take it easy for a little while." The man said to Lin, as Lin got up. "I don't need to rest. I need to do something I should've done a long time ago." Lin said to the man, before leaving. As she left, Mewoth quickly followed her.
Back at the manor, Su was watching Korra practice metalbending, with the pokemon. "Congratulations. You're the first metalbending Avatar." Su said to Korra. Then Bolin, Pabu, and Numel walked up to them. "So, um, I've been thinking, and I'd like to try to learn metalbending. I mean, I'm sure you have a waiting list or something, like a couple years, so…" Bolin said to Su, but stopped when Su walked to him, and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Let's get started." Su said to Bolin. "So how's the metalbending coming along?" A voice said to everyone. That made them turn their heads to see Lucas and Rilliaboom nearby. "You could join us?" Su asked Lucas. "Thanks, but I'm working on something else at the moment." Lucas said to Su. "and that is?" Bolin asked Lucas.
This made Lucas pull out some seeds, and they soon glowed green. Lucas then placed his hand over the seeds and pushed on them. Then Lucas tossed the seeds at Bolin. Once the seeds hit Bolin, they sprouted small roots that wrapped around Bolin. "Okay, I can't move." Bolin said to everyone.
"I figure that. The seed in the fruit I had this morning gave me this idea of our style of Leech Seed. And while it doesn't drain your energy. I have found, with enough energy, the roots will take over the target. And after they finish growing on their target, I can make the roots harder. Making it hard for the target to break free." Lucas said to Bolin, as he and Rilliaboom walked to everyone. "That's pretty cool." Korra said to Lucas, as he bend the roots off Bolin.
But then the ground started to break apart and even bending of the metal platforms on the ground. It stopped right before everyone. This made them turn their heads to see Lin breathing heavily at the start of the broken earth. "I think Lin is mad about something." Bolin said to Korra and Lucas. "What gave you that idea? Lin's breath? Or the fact that she just tore up the ground?" Lucas asked Bolin.
"Su, it's time we talk." Lin said to Su. "After 30 years, you're finally ready to talk?" Su asked Lin. "When we were in Mom's office that day, you could have taken responsibility for what you did, but instead you stayed quiet and let mom throw her whole career away." Lin said to Su, as she walked closer to Su. "Mom didn't throw her career away. She retired the next year. She was a hero." Su said to Lin.
"You think she wanted to retire? She was so guilt-ridden about what she did to protect you, she didn't feel worthy of her badge." Lin said to Su. "Look, I admit that I was not a perfect kid and I've made some mistakes in the past, but-" Su said to Lin, but Lin interrupted her with scoffing. "You made some mistakes?" Lin asked Su. "Lin, mom and I already talked about this years ago and worked things out. If you have gotten together with us like we'd asked, you would know that I'm a different person now. I've been a different person for a long time." Su said to Lin.
"You think just because you live in a big, fancy house and have a chef who cooks you fancy food that you're a different person? Maybe you can fool everyone else, but you can't fool me. I see right through you." Lin said to Su, making Su mad. "You know what, Lin? You're the one who hasn't changed. You're still a bitter loner who only cares about herself. No wonder Tenzin ended things with you years ago." Su said to Lin. "Now why did she have to say that?" Lucas asked, before forming a rock wall, facing Lin, around him, Korra, Bolin and their Pokemon.
That was the final straw and Lin fired a boulder at Su, but Su blocked the boulder with her wrist and smashed it. "Okay, I guess this is how it's going to be." Su said to Lin, before earthbending a small earth wave at Lin, knocking Lin off her feet. Then Su bent a rock into Lin's gut, sending her flying back a little.
"Bronzor." Bronzor said as her eyes glowed teal, and a teal outline appeared on Lin, making her stop moving. But that's when Meowth came out of nowhere, and jumped up and onto Bronzor. "Meowth." Meowth said, his claws became silver. Meowth then scratched Bronzor, making a strapping sound. This made Bronzor drop her Confusion, and when that was gone, Meowth jumped off Bronzor and near Lin.
That's when Lin got up and charged at Su, with Meowth following her lead. Lin made a wave of rocks heading for Su, and Meowth got ready to use another Metal claw. But Su blocked the attack with a large metal plate, and Bronzor made many copies dodging Meowth's attack. Then Su fired the metal plate at Lin, and Bronzor started to spin while glowing silver.
But Lin and Meowth dodged their attacks, and jumped to the side, getting right next to each other. Lin then kicked up a small amount of rocks and fired them at Su and Bronzor. At the same time, Meowth started to fire black coins from his coin at Su and Bronzor. But Su and Bronzor dodged the rocks and coins. As this was going one, Korra and Bolin poked their heads from behind Lucas' cover.
"Should I stop them?" Korra asked everyone. "You haven't had siblings for that long. Fighting is all part of the healing process." Bolin said to Korra. "I don't think it is. Also why is Mewoth and Bronzor fighting as well?" Korra said to Bolin and asked Lucas. "They're just helping their partners. Or in Meowth's case, proving he can be helpful in a fight to Lin." Lucas said to
Then Su did a cartwheel going past them dodging a rock way, with Bronzor following her. It was at this point, Mason, Su's family, and their Pokemon came out. "Go, mom!" Wei said to Su. "Don't encourage this! They're going to get seriously hurt doing this!" Mason said to Wei. "Well you can't stop it Mason. And they'll probably be fine, stuff like this happens all the time." Lucas said to Mason, from behind his cover. "Probably!?" Mason asked Lucas.
Back with the fight, Su and Bronzor dodged Lin and Meowth's attack. Having enough, Lin threw Huan sculpture at Su, but Su used her bending to catch it, and threw it right into the wall, making Huan gasp. "My sculpture!" Huan said, as he and Durant ran to it. Huan looked at the wreck of his sculpture, and liked it. "Actually, it looks kind of better now." Huan said. "Durant." Durant said, sighing.
In the fight, Bronzor fired a ball of light at Lin and Meowth. The ball of light hit them, and made their eyes blurry, and birds started to circle around their heads. This gave Su the change to toss metal plates at Lin. But Lin and Meowth were able to shake off the birds, and their eyes cleared. With this, Lin was able to bend the metal plates away.
Lin then started to make rocks burst out of the ground. But Su and Bronzor dodged the rocks. Then Lin fired a large boulder at Lin and Bronzor, as Meowth fired black coins at them. But Su, metalebend the wall around her and Bronzor, blocking Lin and Meowth's attacks. Then Su bend the other side of the wall, and hit Lin and Meowth with it. This sent them flying near the others, and a bit in pain. "You got it out of your system?" Su asked Lin, as she stood on a bridge, with Bronzor floating next to her.
"Not quite yet!" Lin said to Su, as she bend out some of the stairs from the platform she crashed into, and Meowth made his claws glow silver. Su bend a giant boulder out of the ground, and Bronzor started to spin, while glowing silver. The four of them charged at each other.
But then Opal jumped in between them all with Skarmory, and Opal fired a burst of air at them and Skarmory flipped out two blades of wind at them. This made all of them stop, and drop their attacks. "What are you two doing? You're sisters! Why would you want to hurt each other?" Opal asked Lin and Su, as both Lin and Su breathed heavily. But before anyone could say anything, Lin passed out. Lucky Korra was able to catch Lin, before Lin completely hit the floor.
After that they took Lin to her room and let her rest for a long time, with Meowth in the room with her. The next day, Korra, Lucas, Zoey, Mako, Bolin, and their Pokemon. "Uh, who's gonna knock?" Korra asked everyone. "I volunteer, Bolin." Lucas said to Korra, forcing Bolin forward. "Oh! No, no, no, no, no, no. Not me. Korra's the Avatar. Why can't she do it?" Bolin asked everyone. "Hu, I can. But I just thought that-." Korra said to Bolin, but Zoey interrupted her. "Oh for crying out loud." Zoey said to everyone, before walking to the door and knocking on it.
"Lin, It's Zoey and the others. You've been in there for 16 hours. Are you awake?" Zoey asked, talking to the door. "We just want to make sure that you're okay." Mako said, learning against the door. But then the door opened, and Mako fell to the floor, surprising everyone.
But they were even more surprised to see Lin in an outfit like Su's and Mewoth was on her shoulder. Lin then let out a yawn. "Good morning." Lin said to everyone, before leaving, with a smile on her face. This confused everyone. "Did that just happen?" Lucas asked everyone. "I think so." Korra said to Lucas.
Then Zoey slapped Bolin in the check. "What was that for?" Bolin asked Zoey, rubbing his check. "Just making sure this wasn't a dream, and the sting in my hand tells me we're not." Zoey said to Bolin. "You could have pinched yourself?" Bolin asked Zoey. "Where's the fun in that?" Zoey asked Bolin.
With Lin, she went to the dining room with Meowth, and the chef made Lin a green smoothie, and Meowth a salad. "What's this?" Lin asked the chef. "I call it The Kalenutsco. It's a mixture of kale, coconut water, and walnuts." The chef said to Lin. Lin tried it, as Mewoth ate the salad. A few seconds later, they finished their food. "Not bad." Lin said to the chef. Then Lin noticed Opal and Skarmroy in the doorway to the dining room. But they walked away.
"Opal, don't go." Lin said to Opal, making Opal and Skarmory stop and looked through the doorway. "Please sit down. I want to talk to you." Lin said to Opal. Opal hesitantly walked into the room and took a seat next to Lin, with Skarmory following her. "Look, I'm just not really comfortable talking about these kinds of things, and well… I wanted to say I'm sorry about the other night." Lin said to Opal.
"It's okay." Opal said to Lin. "Your mother and I have a complicated relationship and-" Lin said, but Opal interrupted her. "It's probably difficult for you to be here." Opal said to Lin. "You're a smart young woman and an excellent airbender. I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for you to train with the other airbenders at the Northern Air Temple." Lin said to Opal.
"There's a part of me that wants to go, but I don't want to upset my mom." Opal said to Lin. "When I was younger, all I wanted to do was please my mother. I became a police chief because I thought it would make her happy, but it didn't. You need to make decisions based on what you want. Don't make the same mistakes I did." Lin said to Opal. Opal then hugged Lin, and Lin returned the favor.
After that Opal and Skarmory went to the living room, where Su, Baatar SR, and their Pokemon were having tea. "Mom, dad, can I talk to you?" Opal asked them, as she and Skarmory walked into the room, and closed the door behind them.
Later that day, Lin was standing in front of a statue of Toph, while holding and petting Mewoth. Then Su and Bronzor walked to Lin and Meowth. Opal has decided to go to the Northern Air Temple with Skarmory. I'm guessing you had something to do with her decision." Su said to Lin. "Well, I was just-" Lin said to Su, but Su interpreted her.
"It's okay. I'm glad she was honest with me. I want her to do what makes her happy. Mom gave us too much freedom, but I feel like I've made the mistake of giving Opal too little. I think it's time I let her choose her own way. I'm sorry I gave you such a hard time when we were younger. I can't imagine what my life would've been like if Mom hadn't sent me away, if I had stayed in the city." Su said to Lin, making Lin look at her.
"You'd probably be in prison." Lin said to Su, making Su chuckle a little. "You're probably right. Mako and Zoey told me that you're an excellent Police Chief. Republic City is lucky to have you. I know mom is proud." Su said to Lin, making Lin look at the statue of Toph. "Can we move on?" Su asked Lin, as she looked at the statue. "I'd love for you to be a part of my life again. There's plenty of space for you in the house, and the kids would love having their aunt around. I do need a co-director for my new dance performance." Su asked Lin, surprising Lin.
"Whoa. Slow down. How about for now, I just promise not to show up at your house and attack you again?" Lin asked Su. "Deal." Su said to Lin, before they shook hands.

In a hidden part of a forest, with many large rocks. Zaheer, Ming-Hua, Ghazan, and P'li, were sitting around a campfire, with Zaheer meditating
"We should've grabbed one of those cops. Maybe they know something about where the Avatar is hiding." Ming-Hua said to everyone. "She could be anywhere." Ghazan said to everyone. "We'll find her. It's just a matter of time." P'li said, looking at Zaheer. "She's with the Metal Clan." Zaheer said to everyone, breaking his meditation.
