Dear diary March 3rd through May 30th

These next few chapters will each cover several months as she won't write every day and there are a lot of exciting things going to happen mild tissue warning will have a sad few days at the beginning of April
March 3rd dear diary I didn't write yesterday as mom needed my help with the shop as her assistant is home for the next 6 weeks with her newborn daughter. When we got home mom sat us all down and told us that grandma has breast cancer and will not be here more then a couple of more months. She has known for almost 6 months but only told mom 3 days ago. She said she is ready to go and be with my grandad who passed before I was born. From what mom explained this is a lot like when we lost my great gran when I was 4. I helped mom with the girls who are upset and confused, about the whole situation. I explained it to them like mom had to me when I was 4. I then called Zack and we went on a walk so could clear my head. I will write the 8th as we are going on surprise adventure.
March 8th, we got home last night from our adventure it was a cruise. Mom and I spent the day at my French grandmas planning my great grandmas 100th birthday party. she will be 100 in exactly 2 months; we are planning so far in advance as that side of my family is huge grandma is 1 of 12 my dad was 1 of 12. Grandma still has 8 siblings living and dad is the only 1 of his that has died. Each of these people has kids and some of their kids have kids so that's a lot of the group plus her friends and their families are also invited.
When we arrived home dad was holding a sobbing Clara, she got 3 fingers slammed in the screen door. Mom and I took her to urgent care the fingers are broken poor girl. When we got home mom let me make us all milk shakes, she is the last of us girls to break a bone and all 4 of us have needed stitches. Signing off mom needs me to watch the girls while she dad and Ellen attend a neighborhood meeting.
March 12th dear Diary I spent the last 3 days busy with party prep going to appointments and much more. We found out yesterday that Clara will be in a cast for 3 weeks. I spent today going to party venues with grandma D my French grandma, Marie, mom and auntie Hellen also came with us. We have found a barn about an hour south of here that will fit our needs, it is huge 3 stories tall can hold 1000 people if needed. We also went ahead and reserved several dozen vacation rentals. As we need places for them to stay each rental can hold 4 families.
When we arrived home, we grabbed everyone else and headed out to shop for new spring formals. I picked out a lavender velvet with a pale pink dot pattern. Everyone else also gout beautiful dresses and dad bought a new suit. These dresses will get a big workout this spring and the beginning of summer. We have mom's best guy friend's wedding a wedding for my best Montana friend's dad her mom passed 3 years ago. We also have church pictures and several formal events to attend as it's the time of year for fundraisers. Signing off mom needs my help making dinner.
March 14th dear diary we spent yesterday helping a local family rebuild their home after a fire. We are doing a lot of different things to make money for them Susie Angelica Kate and I are doing a fashion show. We will model clothes we make with help from mom. We all spent today deciding on 3 patterns a piece. I am wearing 2 dresses and a skirt set the others will wear their favorites. As a rule, I am very conservative when it comes to clothes, so I chose longer dresses and skirts each is made of some really neat Disney velvet.
When we arrived home mom and I started working on cutting the patterns out. After a while I went to make a pit stop and realized I am now a woman in one sense of the word. I started my period, so mom and I needed to make an emergency drug store run. We got everything I needed then as a sneaky treat mom bought me some chocolates to keep in her secret stash. Her stash is in her drawer under the sewing machine, we put mine in my drawer. Signing off my back hurts and I need to as mom for some meds.
March 20th dear diary the last 6 days were crazy all 4 of us girls caught chicken pox. This has been an itchy few days but we got to see the gang as they also caught it. We stayed at Zack's as for reasons I am not allowed to discuss mom needed us to be gone till today. Signing off I am itchy and sleepy again.
March 25th dear diary we are completely over being sick so spent the last 2 days running errands. And then heading out to the wedding it will be held tomorrow, we are currently in Vermont and have met mom's friend Patrick and his soon to be husband Joe. Yes, Patrick is gay but who gives a shit sorry for my mouth. While we were out tonight some jerk called them a very nasty name and made some very inappropriate comments I will not be repeating. The wedding is tomorrow so I will write the 1st after we are home.
April 2nd dear diary I won't write much the next few days as grandma has entered hospice care. We have brought her home as she wants to pass at home with her family. All my family started arriving yesterday, the 3 younger girls are next door at Zack's mom's not sure they need to be around for this. I spend days here but nights with the girls as I can only handle so much. Signing off we are going to go say our goodbyes and visit for an hour or 2.
April 6th we lost grandma early this morning I had to explain it to the girls like mom did with me. We are all super sad and I won't be writing till the 10th as we need to be together as a family.
April 10th we are all doing better but we still miss grandma, we will be ok, but it will take some time. Today mom gave each of us an envelope with a letter and a check for an amount of money that I am not allowed to share. We each put half in the bank and half we can spend now we are going to be moving to a new house and part of grandma's wishes is that we each get to decorate our rooms in the new house just how we want. We will still live next door to Zack as all the Duplex families have decided to move to new street.
Mom took us shopping and we all picked out new beds as ours are all kind of falling apart. We each decided on a theme for our rooms mine is a lavender and light yellow craft room. Elsie picked out light green and light yellow items for her library themed room. Emily decided on pale pink and pale blue for her knitting themed room theme. Clara will have a pale pink and lavender doll house room. And we got items for a special project auntie Beth's new cottage which will be in our back yard this gives will giver her space of her own. She will still eat supper with us but will have a small kitchen for breakfast and lunch.
She recently met a young man named Daniel at her bowling league; she has asked for permission from mom for him to move in with her mom said yes. This is the main reason we are building the cottage. There will be a 2nd small cottage for dad's cousin Madeline and her boyfriend Ian who are moving here from Florida. Signing of until the 30th as it will take several days for all of this to happen.
April 30th dear diary we are officially moved into our new home, and we love it very much. Dad's cousin Madeline who like the twins has Down syndrome and her boyfriend Ian who is deaf, arrived here the 15th they are such a sweet couple they are both 18 and in collage. She is studying to become a nurse while he is in trade school to become an auto mechanic. We love having them here as she has started helping mom Ellen and I with things around here while Ian and Daniel who is Ellen's age help dad with the yard. the 2 of them are both 60 and they are a cute couple. She is 30 years older than mom, but they have always been very close.
We along with the rest of the gang celebrated the new homes with a huge block party. it was so much fun as we all made food to share before we went to an outdoor movie. I need to sign off as I need to shower and eat a snack before bed.
May 1st as of today I am in the middle school program in our charter, yes, I graduated elementary school tonight this was an amazing program. I sang a solo and played piano at the ceremony before we had dinner at a local French restaurant. We will be busy through the 20th so I will write then.
May 20th dear diary we have had an amazing start to summer 2 days ago mom announced she is expecting a baby in December. Yes, I am going to be a big sister again. Later we went to an appointment for mom, and I have huge news MOM IS EXPECTING TWINS YES, I WILL HAVE 2 NEW SIBLINGS BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR. THE DOCTOR DID SAY THAT THEY WILL BE BORN EARLY MOST LIKELY. We are all so excited and Clara is happy she won't be the baby of the family anymore. We have been busy with wedding prep as mom will still be married in September. She went to the dress shop and they are altering her dress to fit over her bump. Signing off till the 30th we are going to the beach.
May 30th we got home from the beach last night we had such an amazing trip I was able to swim in the ocean for the first time as I normally do not like water where I can't see the bottom but diary with help from Madeline and dad I did it. We are all exhausted so mom said I need to finish this and wind down before bed.
