January 6th dear diary we got home from Maine late this morning it was so much fun we did a lot of new things tried new foods and more. We leave tonight for South Dakota and Minnesota as part of our special adventure I told you about last time I wrote. we spent most of today packing the huge motor home we are using. We will only be home 1 week every 3 months this year as we are having our big adventure. Dad just asked me to help him finish loading Susie and Theresa's stuff as they just arrived. Later we have been on the road for about 3 hours and are making a quick stop, to gas up the motor home and pick out some treats. Mom also went ahead and ordered dinner from the truck stop so we won't need to stop till we get to our first stop. Signing off mom wants me to get the Babies into their jammies.
January 9th dear diary we arrived in South Dakota late the night before last we are really enjoying just being tourist and seeing new places. We head to Minnesota in the morning right now I am stretched out on the bed that Susie and I share, the 4 younger girls are in the bunks on either side of our bed, but lower down Ellen and Daniel are Sharing a bed made from the kitchen table. Madeline and Ian are sharing a sofa bed mom dad and the babies are in the loft and 2 beds just below it in the very front of the motor home. I need to sign off mom wants Susie and I to take the 4 younger girls down to the showers.
January 11th we arrived in Minnesota late last night and are exploring a huge mall called the mall of America it has over 500 stores and a theme park. We will explore here for 3 days it is super cool and Susie and I are exploring with Madeline. We had lunch at Bubba Gump shrimp as dad's a huge fan of the movie Forrest Gump. We then spent several hours shopping and are now resting in the motor home. Signing off for a couple days.
January 14th dear diary we are currently driving towards Chicago Illinois we will be there in a few hours. We arrived a bit ago and dad and Clara are on their daddy daughter American girl shopping spree. Mom Susie Elsie and I are having a discussion on where we want to shop on the magnificent mile. We all got back to the motor home a few minutes ago and are getting ready to eat real Chicago style deep dish pizza from a place call uno pizzeria and grill, from what moms heard it's the original home of deep dish pizza. Clara selected Molly for her doll of choice she even at 5 is very interested in history. Mom suspects that like me she may be on the autism spectrum but that's not a big deal. Signing off it's getting late and I am exhausted.
January 20th we are in Ohio for the next week so that Ellen and Ian can attend her best friend Ann's wedding to her high school sweetheart a man named Jack. We will explore while she is busy with wedding stuff and being a bridesmaid. We have plans to meet some of my dads Family who live in Virginia for a couple days and will pick Ellen back up on the 28th.
January 30th dear diary we are currently driving to New York to see several things before heading back towards California. Mom has a huge surprise for us older kids so Susie Elsie Theresa Emily Clara and I. we won't find out what it is until we arrive. Signing off mom wants Susie and I to take some laundry to the laundry facility.
February 2nd dear diary the surprise is we along With Ellen and Madeline are going to see lion king on Broadway. We all went and bought new formals as although you don't have to dress up mom has taught me you always dress up for the theater and any other formal show. My new dress is a pale lavender with darker lavender stripes running from just under my arms down to just above my ankles yes, I am now in floor length dresses for special events. Susie chose a light blue dress with a darker blue dot pattern. Elsie got her first long dress its red with white dots Emily's is pink with dark pink stripes its also long. Clara's dress is the opposite of mine, and she is still in short dresses. Theresa picked one that is Black with red flowers and like my sisters is long. Ellen chose a navy blue dress with white stripes on the skirt and sleeves, Madeline's is pale yellow with a darker yellow flower print and mom chose one like Ellen's but the colors are switched. The babies are going with dad and the guys for pizza and then watching movies at the camper. Signing off mom wants us to rest its going to be a long night.
February 14th dear diary we are still in New York state visiting Daniels family they are all very nice and while we are here his grandmother will be 100. We are all enjoying being here it is beautiful, and we have been skiing twice. And today I learned to ice skate not well, but I can do it we really enjoyed it. Today at 6.5 months old Gwen and Georgia rolled from back to belly twice. They were diagnosed with cerebral palsy a few weeks ago so this is a big deal for them. They will always be behind others, and we don't know exactly how bad their condition will affect them. So far, they seem to be mostly spastic quad and it mainly affects their legs as they are mirror twins Georgia's left side and Gwen's right side are most affected. We leave here the 24th and are going home for the first 12 days of march. I am signing off it's been a busy day and I am exhausted.
March 1st we got home late last night and we met up with everyone else this afternoon. Each group talked about their adventures and what's coming up next for each group. We leave the 14th for Tennessee then head south to Florida and across to Texas for my Cousins wedding. Signing off till then we have so much to finish before we leave again.
March 20th dear diary we didn't leave until yesterday as we got stuck due to blizzard and then motor home issues. We are heading to Tennessee then will head straight to Texas we will go to Florida later. This has been an amazing educational experience we will never forget this vacation. Elsie and Emily turned 8 the 12th they both received a certificate to pick out their first pets when we go home for the 2nd week of June. They are both becoming beautiful young ladies, and both are way ahead in school like I have always been. They will both need one more heart surgery in a few years but are otherwise healthy. Signing off we are going on a tour of some museums.
March 30th dear diary we have been busy helping my aunt prepare for my cousins wedding which is tomorrow I can only write for a bit as I am in charge of decorating the barn for the reception I better sign off.
