Dear diary spring and summer age 14

January 30th dear diary I am finally back from our long break, here are a few highlights from that time first the bad, I have 2 severely broken fingers my hand got shut in the van door. Mom is recovering from major surgery. She has a weird stomach issue. We have all had to give up wheat as the youngest 2 have a severe allergy. Now the good I won a very special award for a quilt I made for charity. Violet has become a member of an elite swim club, Rose is 1st chair Violin in the best kids' orchestra around here, Rebecca is now attending one of the best schools in her chosen field. Savannah is in a traveling company production of swan lake; Clara is in prep mode as she is making a dinner for some very important people.
Elsie has written 2 more books Emily is in a new Series and has scored her first lead role. Gwen is in a better gymnastics group while Georgia has switched from riding to adaptive soccer basketball and softball. In other news we have 2 sisters staying here temporarily while their mother is in rehab for drinking. I am only allowed to say that much as it's private business. Signing off, I need to have some help washing my hair.
February 3rd dear diary I got my cast off yesterday after nearly 12 weeks. this was so nice as casts suck, the girls who were staying here were able to go to their aunts today. Everyone is busy preparing for a very special vacation we are heading to Japan and China and will not be home until the end of march I will write then.
April 1st, dear diary, we arrived home late last night from an amazing adventure. It was such an amazing trip we will never forget it. We have decided that every year we will go on an amazing journey to somewhere new. I am finally back at school after my hand injury and love all the classes I am taking. We celebrated easter a week late and our gifts are related to our activities. I received so much new material and several bags of needles buttons decorations and more. Emily received several outfits, hair stuff and movies, Elsie got writing tools notebooks and a new desk chair.
Rebecca received several science books experiments and several outfits. She is almost 5 foot 8 and has not quite finished growing. Savannah received lots of dance outfits, a bar for the basement and clothes she is nearly 5 feet tall already she like dads' side of the family will be a tall girl. Clara received clothes, cookbooks and kitchen tools, Rose got several performance outfits, a new violin and several music books. Violet got swimsuits, a diving board for the pool and some other swimming stuff. Georgia received a ton of sports items and several outfits she and Gwen will also be tall. Gwen received a small balance beam, some floor mats leotards and clothes. Signing off mom Clara Ellen and I are going to make a huge dinner.
April 10th dear diary sorry I haven't written very often lately it's been busy and hectic. With the school year winding down early and us going on several day trips. I am going to be staying with some family friends until the middle of next month. Their grandfather must have major surgery, and their dads out of the country. I will oversee the house the first 3 weeks then will help as needed write when I'm home.
May 20th dear diary I arrived home last evening to chaos as everyone, but Ellen had a severe stomach virus. She had me call Dr Lucy who brought over meds and fluids, they are all doing better today but now Ellen's down for the count. I will write when I can as it's a busy season for us.
June 1st dear diary we got home yesterday from Celebrating Memorial Day at my aunts, this year was hard as although I didn't write about it, we lost my cousin in a bombing last October. So, this and Veterans Day will both have new meaning to us. I am starting online classes this semester so that I can stay at mom's shop to help her as she needs major back surgery. She has something I don't really understand but some kind of disk is squished. Zack is also in an online school and working with dad every day but Sunday. This is so he's close to home if his stepdad needs him. He had to have a similar surgery to moms. I will write as soon as I can.
June 15th dear diary mom got home last night and is already doing good. She is out of commission for 4 more weeks, but she can do light work at her shop. I will continue online schooling other than 2 early mornings a week when I have skills labs. This is a good choice as the school was very overwhelming. My labs are Tuesday and Friday at 7 so before school opens to the public. Zack and the others are all doing similar schedules as we are all needed at work or home right now. I am signing off to finish my quilt. I am putting in the fairs contest; I hope I do better than last year.
June 30th dear diary it's been a crazy 2 weeks we found out the 25th that Madeline is expecting her 2nd little one she's 6 weeks along. And due at the end of March or early April. She is so excited, and I think little miss Olivia is going to be a great big sister. She will be just over 2.5 when the baby arrives. So, the perfect age to be a little mommy, I think she will love having a real baby around as Like Clara she loves her dolls. We also went on a mini vacation to the shore. We also welcomed some new friends to the ranch. Madeline's best friend Reggie and her husband Sam and their almost 2 year old son moved out here. Their son is only 4 weeks younger than Olivia. And he will be a big brother about 3 weeks before her. We are now getting ready to leave on a 4 day trip to the state capital for the 4th of July. I will write the 5th as we will be busy on the trip.
July 5th dear diary we got home early this morning, as we had a minor problem with the camper. I won overall winner in the teen quilt division and 3rd over all of the winners' quilts, I am very proud of this. We saw the fireworks and did so much more, Clara won the cooking contest she was in and everyone else won some awards. I am signing off for at least a week as mom's family is having a huge reunion. And as we discussed a while back, we were chasing a lead to 2 possible half siblings of hers, the link plus DNA testing proved our theory as correct. I have another aunt and uncle who I will meet during this event. Through my DNA we discovered I have a half sister who is 3 years older than I am. Mom sort of knew about her but had forgotten about it.
July 15th dear diary we had such an amazing time at our gathering and regarding something from last entry yes, my dad had a child young. But who really cares it was a mistake he made but she is an amazing young woman in her 2nd year of collage studying to become a nurse. In other news using dad's DNA we discovered he wasn't his dad's child, but another man's. From what we have dug up his dad wasn't a good man. Through this line he has 2 half sisters and a half brother. I am signing off until the beginning of September as we will be busy the next several weeks.
