Chapter 20: The Unexpected Ally - A Classic Dimensional Encounter

***EXITING NULL SPACE***

As the portal spat them out, Thor, Silver, Kairi, and Goofy found themselves in a desolate and hauntingly unfamiliar landscape, but not to Silver. The air was thick with a sense of foreboding, and the once vibrant cityscape had been reduced to ruins. This was Silver's home, it was a twisted and broken version of the future, a timeline filled with darkness and despair.

The city was known as "Crisis City." The name itself hinted at the devastation that had befallen this once-thriving metropolis. Broken buildings loomed overhead, their shattered remnants reaching for the heavens like skeletal fingers. Damaged highways stretched across the landscape, snaking through the ruins and leading to nowhere. Crumbling skyscrapers leaned precariously, threatening to collapse at any moment.

The darkness that had swallowed this world seemed to linger in every corner. The air was heavy with the stench of decay and the feeling of hopelessness. The streets were empty and silent, the sounds of life replaced by the eerie whispers of the wind.

"Gwarsh, where are we?" Goofy asked in shock

Silver sighed slightly and looked at his team. "Home, this is my home."

Silver's heart sank as he looked upon this bleak future. He had fought to protect this city from the darkness, to prevent its descent into further damnation, but always his efforts had been in vain.

Thor looked around, his eyes narrowing with concern. He could sense the heaviness in the air, the weight of tragedy that had befallen this place. As a warrior who had seen his fair share of battles, he recognized the signs of a world torn apart by conflict.

Kairi, too, felt a sense of sadness and empathy for Silver. She could only imagine the pain he must be feeling, seeing his home in such a state. As a Princess of Heart, she had a unique ability to sense the emotions of others, and the sorrow of Crisis City was palpable.

Goofy was also taken aback by the devastation. He had always known Silver as a determined and optimistic young hedgehog, but seeing the state of his home world was a sobering reminder of the darkness they were up against.

Silver stood in silence, his heart heavy with the weight of the past and the uncertainty of the future. He had always believed in the power of hope and the ability to change fate, but seeing his home in this state made him question if he could truly make a difference.

***CRISIS CITY - 200 YEARS IN THE FUTURE***

"Gwarsh, time travel sure is tricky business, huh." Goofy said, with a sense of wisdom to their adventures so far. They had been dealt a heavy blow being sucked into Null Space by Infinite back on Nowhere.

Silver takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the task ahead. He knows that wallowing in self-pity won't help them find Infinite or the Reality Stone. He looks at his team with determination in his eyes and says, "You're right, Goofy. Time travel is tricky, and we can't afford to waste any more of it. We need to act now."

Thor nods, gripping Stormbreaker tightly. "I agree. The longer we wait, the more time we give Infinite to wreak havoc with the Reality Stone."

Kairi adds, "But where do we even start looking for him in this city?"

"I think Infinite is likely to be near the dark tower," Silver replied. "That seems to be the source of the darkness in this world, and it's where he's most likely to be hiding."

Thor nods in agreement. "Then let us make haste and head towards the tower," he says. "Time is not on our side, and we must find Infinite and the Reality Stone before he can cause any more damage."

The group sets off towards the dark tower, navigating the broken streets and ruined buildings of Crisis City. The darkness is oppressive, and they can feel its malevolence closing in around them. However, as they were about to depart through this apocalyptic future, a sudden darkness filled the air and the aura of evil could be felt.

The HeartlessNeoshadows emerged from the shadows, their eerie red eyes glowing with malevolence. Kairi quickly raised her Keyblade, Destiny's Embrace, and shouted, "Heartless! Let's take them down!"

***THOR, SILVER, KAIRI & GOOFY v NEOSHADOWS***

Thor gripped Stormbreaker tightly in his hand, summoning the power of thunder and lightning. He swung the mighty weapon with all his strength, sending arcs of electricity through the air, striking the Neoshadows one after another. Each blow landed with a resounding crack, scattering the Heartless and leaving them vulnerable to further attacks.

Silver focused his PSI abilities, summoning telekinetic barriers to shield himself and his friends from the Heartless' onslaught. He could feel the darkness that surrounded them, threatening to overwhelm them, but he channeled his determination and the power of his friends to push back against the darkness.

Goofy leaped into the fray with his shield, God Save the King, raised high. He spun around, using the shield to bash the Neoshadows and knock them back. His powerful strikes created shockwaves that sent the Heartless flying, leaving openings for his allies to exploit.

Kairi's Keyblade danced through the air as she unleashed a flurry of powerful attacks. With each swing, she sent waves of light slashing through the darkness, banishing the Neoshadows one by one. Her movements were graceful and precise, but beneath her poise, there was a burning determination to protect her friends and restore light to this dark world.

Silver's telekinetic powers grew stronger with each passing moment. He used them to lift chunks of debris from the ruined cityscape, hurling them at the Neoshadows with deadly accuracy. The Heartless were no match for his telekinetic onslaught, as they were knocked aside, disoriented and defeated.

Thor's lightning crackled and roared as he summoned the full force of his storm powers. Bolts of lightning shot from Stormbreaker, striking the Neoshadows with powerful electrical blasts. The air sizzled and crackled with energy as Thor's attacks lit up the darkened city, momentarily pushing back the suffocating darkness.

As the battle raged on, the four heroes fought with incredible synergy, covering each other's backs and exploiting the Heartless' weaknesses. They moved as one, a well-oiled machine of power and precision, working together seamlessly to drive back the relentless horde of Neoshadows.

With each defeated Heartless, the darkness began to recede, slowly but surely. The heroes' determination and courage began to create a glimmer of hope, a beacon of light in the midst of this dark world.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of fighting, the last of the Neoshadows fell, vanishing into nothingness. The city fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the heroes as they caught their breath.

Silver looked around at his friends, a sense of pride and gratitude swelling within him. They had faced the darkness together and emerged victorious. "Thank you, all of you," he said, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Thor smiled, clapping a hand on Silver's shoulder. "We make a good team," he said, his eyes gleaming with admiration. "And we're not done yet. Let's keep moving forward, find Infinite, and put an end to this darkness once and for all."

Kairi nodded, her determination burning brightly. "Agreed," she said. "We have the power of light on our side. As long as we stick together, we can face anything."

Goofy added with a grin, "That's right! We'll keep our hearts strong and stand strong against the darkness."

***END OF BATTLE***

As the four heroes stood in the aftermath of the battle, they were caught off guard by a sudden movement from the shadows. A rogue Neoshadow sprung forward, lunging towards Kairi with malicious intent.

"KAIRI, WATCH OUT!" Silver shouted, trying to warn Kairi of the rogue Heartless aiming for her.

Before she could react, a sudden blue blur streaked through the air and collided with the Neoshadow, causing it to vanish into thin air.

As the dust settled, the heroes looked in surprise to see a smaller, plump, and younger version of Sonic the Hedgehog standing there. It was a Sonic, however not the one the team was used to. He couldn't speak, but he used his body language to convey his actions.

Classic Sonic stood there, a lively and energetic figure with an unmistakable blue hue to his fur. His large, expressive eyes sparkled with a sense of adventure and determination. His trademark white gloves covered his hands, and on his feet were red shoes with white straps and a golden buckle. The shoes seemed to practically shimmer with speed, a testament to the hedgehog's lightning-fast abilities.

Classic Sonic's round, pudgy cheeks gave him an endearing and youthful appearance, and his charming grin seemed to convey his boundless enthusiasm for life. His quills were shorter and more rounded compared to his older counterpart, adding to his cute and charming demeanor.

As he moved, Classic Sonic's body language spoke volumes. He was a ball of energy, bouncing on the balls of his feet and gesturing with his hands to communicate with the group. Even without words, he exuded a sense of friendliness and approachability that put the heroes at ease.

In contrast to the more mature and experienced Sonic they were familiar with, Classic Sonic embodied a sense of innocence and playfulness. His youthful exuberance was infectious, and it brought a smile to the faces of those around him.

Kairi, Goofy, and Thor were bewildered by the appearance of another Sonic. They had only known the Sonic from their own universe, and seeing this alternate version was unexpected.

"Whoa! What just happened?" Goofy exclaimed, rubbing his head in confusion.

Thor's eyes widened in surprise, and he exclaimed, "By Odin's beard! Another Sonic? How did he get here?"

Kairi, still recovering from the shock, looked at the young hedgehog curiously. "Are you... Sonic?" she asked, her voice tinged with wonder.

The small Sonic nodded and gave them a wide grin. He couldn't speak, but his expressive eyes and gestures conveyed his friendly and adventurous nature.

Silver, however, recognized this version of Sonic. He had encountered Classic Sonic during his fight against the Time Eater and Infinite a few years back. Silver's eyes widened in recognition, and he approached Classic Sonic with a smile of camaraderie.

"Hey there," Silver said, giving the blue hedgehog a friendly wave. "Long time no see. Thanks for the help."

Classic Sonic responded with a nod and a thumbs-up, happy to have been of assistance.

Kairi looked at Silver with a puzzled expression. "You know him?" she asked, still processing the appearance of the other Sonic.

Silver nodded. "Yeah, he's from another dimension," he explained. "We crossed paths during a battle against the Time Eater and Infinite. He can't talk, but he's a great ally."

Thor raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the concept of multiple dimensions. "Fascinating," he commented. "Perhaps his presence here is not as random as it seems."

Kairi looked at Classic Sonic with curiosity and warmth in her eyes. She reached out a hand in a friendly gesture, trying to make him feel welcome. "Hello, little guy," she said with a gentle smile. "Thanks for the save back there."

Classic Sonic pointed towards Kairi, then tapped his chest and gave a thumbs-up, indicating that he had come to save her from the Neoshadow. Kairi smiled gratefully at the heroic hedgehog, understanding his actions even without words. She was impressed by his bravery and quick reflexes.

"Gwarsh, how did the little fella get here though?" Asked Goofy, scratching his head, looking towards his friend from another dimension.

"Hey, I think he's trying to show us something," Kairi said, pointing at Sonic's hands.

Classic Sonic reached into his glove and pulled out something that caught the attention of everyone present. It was a variant version of the Phantom Ruby, the powerful gemstone that could manipulate reality and distort dimensions.

Silver's eyes widened with realization. "He must have used the Phantom Ruby from his world to travel here," he said. "It seems like he sensed the disturbance caused by Infinite and the Heartless and came to help."

Thor looked impressed. "He may be small, but his spirit is mighty," he said, admiring the young hedgehog's determination.

Classic Sonic nodded, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. He pointed at the rest of the group and then to himself, indicating that he wanted to join them in their quest.

Kairi smiled warmly. "Of course, you can join us, Sonic," she said. "We could use all the help we can get."

As Classic Sonic hopped excitedly in response, Silver explained to the others, "Even though he can't speak, Classic Sonic is a hero in his own right. He's faced many challenges and fought alongside us in the past. We can trust him."

Goofy clapped his hands together. "Well, if he's a friend of yours, Silver, then he's a friend of ours too!" he declared.

With Classic Sonic now officially a part of their team, the group continued their journey through Crisis City. The young hedgehog's speed and agility were invaluable as they navigated the crumbling buildings and dangerous obstacles.

As they ventured deeper into the heart of the darkness, the Phantom Ruby's power became more apparent. It seemed to be the source of the darkness that had engulfed this world, and they knew that defeating Infinite and reclaiming the Reality Stone was more important than ever.

Together, with Classic Sonic's help, the heroes fought against the Heartless and pushed forward with unwavering determination. They knew that the fate of their worlds depended on their success, and they would stop at nothing to achieve their goal.

As they faced the challenges ahead, Classic Sonic's presence brought a sense of hope and camaraderie to the group. Even without words, he showed that friendship and courage knew no bounds, transcending time and dimensions.

With the power of friendship and determination by their side, they would face whatever dangers awaited them. Classic Sonic had proven himself to be a valuable ally, and they knew that with him on their team, they had a fighting chance to bring light back to this darkened world and save the universe from the clutches of darkness.

***THE DARK TOWER***

The dark tower loomed over them, a haunting sight that sent chills down their spines. It stood tall and imposing, a stark contrast to the broken and crumbling buildings around it. The tower's dark, jagged spires reached up into the ominous sky, disappearing into the swirling clouds of darkness above.

As they approached the tower, the air grew thick with an eerie silence. There were no sounds of life, no birds singing, no wind rustling through the trees. The only sound was the distant echo of their footsteps on the desolate streets, a haunting reminder of the once vibrant city that now lay in ruins.

The tower seemed to radiate a malevolent energy, a feeling of darkness and despair that made even the bravest among them shudder. Its cold, black stone walls seemed to absorb the light around it, creating an unsettling aura of darkness that seemed to stretch out and engulf everything in its path.

Silver's heart sank as he looked upon the tower, knowing that it was a symbol of the darkness that had taken over his world. He had seen this tower in his dreams and nightmares for as long as he could remember, a constant reminder of the suffering and pain that had plagued his home.

Kairi gripped her Keyblade tightly, her determination burning bright despite the oppressive atmosphere. "This is it," she said, her voice steady. "We're getting closer to Infinite and the Reality Stone."

Goofy looked up at the tower with a mix of awe and trepidation. "Gawrsh, this place gives me the heebie-jeebies," he whispered.

Thor's eyes narrowed as he scanned the tower, his grip on Stormbreaker tightening. "It is a place of great darkness," he said solemnly. "But fear not, my friends. We shall face whatever lies ahead together."

Classic Sonic stood by their side, his determination mirroring theirs, even without words. He had faced countless challenges in his own dimension, and he was ready to face this one with them.

As they approached the entrance of the tower, they could feel the malevolent energy growing stronger. The darkness seemed to thicken, and an ominous aura surrounded the entrance like a forbidding barrier.

Taking a deep breath, Silver stepped forward, determined to face whatever awaited them inside. "Let's do this," he said, his voice resolute. "We can't let Infinite succeed and let the Reality Stone stay in the hands of darkness. It's time to bring back the light to our worlds."

With those words, they entered the dark tower, their hearts filled with courage and hope. The journey ahead would be filled with challenges and dangers, but they knew that together, they could overcome anything.

Inside the dark tower, the heroes came face to face with Infinite, the sinister figure who had caused so much suffering in this timeline. He floated in the center of the room, his body surrounded by a dark aura that seemed to pulse with malevolent energy. The Phantom Ruby on his chest glowed with an ominous red light, casting an eerie glow across the chamber.

"Welcome to the future of Mobius and the Universe," Infinite sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "A future where darkness always prevails."

Silver clenched his fists, his eyes filled with determination. "We're here to stop you, Infinite," he declared. "You won't get away with your plan to control the Reality Stone."

Infinite chuckled darkly, his crimson eyes gleaming with malice. "Ah, the Hedgehog and his little friends," he said mockingly. "Always trying to play the heroes, but it's all so futile. The darkness is all-consuming, and there's nothing you can do to stop it."

Classic Sonic stepped forward, his expression serious despite the lack of words. He had faced Infinite before and knew the danger he posed. But he also knew that with the power of friendship and determination, they could overcome any foe.

Infinite's eyes landed on Classic Sonic, and he let out a sigh of exasperation. "Even the fatter blue savior from distant timelines can never keep his nose out of my business," he remarked, a cruel smirk forming on his face.

Classic Sonic blinked in surprise at Infinite's remark, his hand instinctively moving to rub his stomach. He exchanged a bewildered glance with Silver and the others, unsure of how to react to the insult. Despite not being able to speak, the look on Classic Sonic's face clearly conveyed his disbelief and amusement.

"Hey, don't let him get to you, buddy," Silver said, patting Classic Sonic's shoulder reassuringly. "You may be smaller and rounder, but you're still the fastest thing alive!"

Classic Sonic grinned in response, giving Silver a thumbs-up to show that he wasn't bothered by Infinite's taunts. He knew that size didn't matter when it came to heroics, and he had proven time and time again that he was more than capable of taking on any challenge that came his way.

Kairi stepped forward, her Keyblade raised. "Give us the Reality Stone," she demanded. "We won't let you use it to spread darkness across the universe."

Infinite simply smirked, the red glow of the Phantom Ruby on his chest intensifying. "You think you can stop me?" he taunted. "I am the true master of this reality, and with the power of the Phantom Ruby and the Aether, I am invincible!"

Thor hefted Stormbreaker, his eyes ablaze with righteous fury. "We shall see about that," he said, his voice steady and unwavering.

Infinite's sinister laughter echoed through the dark tower as he taunted them, "With the Reality Stone in Mephiles' hands, he will shape reality to his liking. All your efforts will be for naught, fools."

"Mephiles? He's part of this also?" Kairi said bewildered, looking up at the former mercenary of Jackal Squad.

Goofy scratched his head, whilst shielding behind his mighty God Save The King Shield, trying to make sense of the situation. "What's Mephiles got to do with anything?" he asked, genuinely confused.

Infinite sneered at Goofy's question and shook his head in disdain. "You truly are an idiot, aren't you?" he taunted. "Mephiles, the one who wields the power of darkness and time, is the true mastermind behind all of this. He plucked me from my past when I was on the brink of destruction, and with the Reality Stone in his possession, he will have his way."

Goofy's eyes widened in realization. "So Mephiles is controlling you?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.

Infinite chuckled darkly. "Oh, he doesn't need to control me. The darkness in my heart has always been there," he admitted, his voice filled with bitterness. "Mephiles merely offered me a chance to unleash my full potential – to become the ruler of this twisted reality."

Thor stepped forward, his expression grave. "And what does Mephiles plan to do with the Reality Stone?" he asked, his voice steady.

Infinite grinned maliciously. "He plans to use it to manipulate time and reality, to reshape the universe according to his own dark desires," he explained. "With the power of the stones at his disposal, he will become unstoppable."

Silver clenched his fists, his determination burning brighter than ever. "We can't let that happen," he declared. "We have to stop Mephiles and put an end to this darkness once and for all."

Infinite let out a cold laugh. "You may try, but you'll never succeed," he sneered. "Mephiles' power is far greater than you can imagine. He is the embodiment of darkness itself, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals."

"But we have something that Mephiles doesn't," Kairi interjected, her voice filled with conviction. "We have the power of friendship, and as long as we stand together, we can overcome any darkness."

Infinite scoffed at her words, but there was a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. "You fools think that friendship can save you?" he mocked. "You're even more naive than I thought."

Classic Sonic stepped forward, his determination clear in his eyes. He may not be able to speak, but he could communicate through his actions. With a determined nod, he let Infinite know that he believed in the power of friendship and would fight to protect their worlds.

Infinite's eyes narrowed, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his face. "You think you can defeat me?" he taunted. "You're just a bunch of insignificant mortals. The power of the Phantom Ruby and Reality Stone is mine to command!"

***THOR, KAIRI, GOOFY, SILVER & CLASSIC SONIC v INFINITE***

The battle was an intense dance of power and skill, with Infinite wielding the combined might of the Phantom Ruby and the Reality Stone, twisting and turning reality to his will. The dark aura of the tower seemed to come alive with his every move, warping the environment and creating illusions to confound the heroes.

Infinite's first target was Thor, who swung Stormbreaker with all his might, sending bolts of lightning crashing towards the villain. But Infinite simply waved his hand, and the lightning veered off course, striking the crumbling walls instead.

"Is that the best you can do, Thunder God?" Infinite taunted, his voice dripping with arrogance. "Your lightning is nothing compared to the power of the Reality Stone!"

Thor gritted his teeth, refusing to be deterred. He hurled Stormbreaker again, this time with a powerful surge of thunder. But once more, Infinite manipulated reality, causing the hammer to freeze in mid-air before it could strike its target.

Kairi, wielding her Destiny Embrace Keyblade, charged forward, determined to break through Infinite's defenses. She swung her Keyblade with grace and precision, but each strike was effortlessly blocked or redirected by the villain's reality-warping abilities.

"You fight with the heart of a child, Princess," Infinite sneered. "Your Keyblade is nothing more than a child's toy in the face of true power."

Kairi's eyes blazed with determination as she pressed on, undeterred by Infinite's taunts. She knew the strength of her heart and the bonds she shared with her friends, and that was the true power of the Keyblade.

Meanwhile, Goofy, with his God Save the King Shield, stood firm as he defended against Infinite's attacks. The villain tried to overwhelm him with illusions, but Goofy's unwavering courage and loyalty to his friends allowed him to see through the deceptions.

"I may not be the strongest, but I'll always be there for my friends!" Goofy declared, his shield deflecting a blast of energy from Infinite.

At the same time, Classic Sonic darted around the battlefield, using his incredible speed and agility to dodge Infinite's attacks. He countered with his homing attack, launching himself at the villain from different angles, but Infinite effortlessly shifted reality to avoid the strikes.

"You're too slow!" Infinite laughed, a malicious glint in his eyes. "You may be fast, but you can't catch what you can't see!"

Silver, with his PSI abilities, used telekinesis to lift debris and hurl it at Infinite. But the villain turned the very air around him into a shield, blocking the projectiles effortlessly.

"Is that all you've got, psychic boy?" Infinite mocked. "Your powers are no match for the might of the Phantom Ruby and the Reality Stone!"

The battle raged on, the heroes refusing to give up despite Infinite's overwhelming power. They fought with everything they had, combining their abilities and strategies to try and break through his defenses.

Silver used his telekinesis to create a barrier to protect his friends, while Kairi unleashed her magic to heal their wounds and boost their strength. Classic Sonic spun into a rapid blur, creating a whirlwind of speed that disoriented Infinite, and Goofy used his shield to block and counter the villain's attacks.

But Infinite was relentless, and with a wave of his hand, he created a maze of mirrors that reflected the heroes' every move, leaving them unsure of what was real and what was illusion.

"Give up, fools!" Infinite taunted. "You can't defeat me! I am the master of reality itself!"

But the heroes refused to be defeated. They relied on their bonds of friendship and trust, knowing that together, they were stronger than any one of them could be alone.

In a moment of desperation, Silver tapped into the depths of his PSI abilities, channeling his emotions and memories of his home and the devastation caused by Infinite's darkness. The power surged within him, and with a cry of determination, he unleashed a powerful psychic blast that broke through Infinite's defenses and sent him staggering back.

Kairi seized the opportunity, charging forward with her Keyblade ablaze with light. She struck with all her might, shattering Infinite's illusionary shields and leaving him vulnerable.

With a burst of speed, Classic Sonic homed in on the villain, spinning into a powerful attack that knocked Infinite off his feet. Goofy followed up with a mighty swing of his shield, sending Infinite hurtling across the room.

Thor summoned the power of lightning and thunder, his eyes blazing with determination. "You may wield the power of reality, but we wield the power of our hearts!" he declared.

Infinite was hit hard, but he wasn't defeated yet. He shook off the blows and levitated again into the air, this time he knew that upping the stakes would need to be higher in this fight.

"Enough!" Infinite shouted. "Time to step up this child's play!"

Infinite activated the powers of the Phantom Ruby and Reality Stone to bend reality around them. As the Dark Tower shifted and transformed into the familiar surroundings of Hollow Bastion, the heroes found themselves facing a disturbing sight. In the distance, they saw Sora locked in combat with Dark Riku, both of them clashing Keyblades with fierce determination. Infinite's dark laughter echoed through the chamber as the surroundings shifted and twisted once 's heart sank as she saw her past self lying unconscious nearby.

"No, this can't be real," she whispered, her voice trembling.

However, the sight of Dark Riku impaling Sora with his sword sent shockwaves through the hearts of the heroes. Kairi's eyes widened in horror as she saw her dear friend in such a dire state. Goofy's eyes narrowed with rage, and Thor clenched his fists, ready to avenge his fallen comrade.

But Silver, with his experience in dealing with illusions, realized that this was another trick of Infinite's using the Reality Stone. He called out to his friends, "It's not real! Don't let the illusion fool you!"

"Riku is under my control now". Laughed Infinite, hiding in this reality he has put together with the power of the ruby and stone. "Riku, take care of these pests!"

*** vs REALITY STONE DARK RIKU***

The heroes turned their attention to the new threat as Dark Riku emerged from the shadows, his eyes glowing with the corrupted power of the Reality Stone. He wore a sinister smile as he stepped forward, ready to do Infinite's bidding.

Dark Riku wielded a dark and twisted version of the Way to the Dawn Keyblade, and he wasted no time in launching an attack at the heroes. His strikes were swift and powerful, the corrupted Reality Stone augmenting his already formidable strength.

Thor raised Stormbreaker to defend against Dark Riku's onslaught, their Keyblades clashing with a resounding clash of power. The force of the impact sent shockwaves rippling through the ground, causing the broken structures around them to shake.

Kairi summoned her inner strength and courage, her Destiny Embrace Keyblade blazing with light as she joined the fray. She moved with grace and precision, countering Dark Riku's attacks and delivering powerful strikes of her own.

Meanwhile, Classic Sonic sped around the battlefield, dodging Dark Riku's attacks with lightning-fast reflexes. He launched himself at the villain with his homing attack, but Dark Riku's mastery over the Reality Stone allowed him to bend reality, creating illusions that threw off Classic Sonic's aim.

Silver used his PSI abilities to create barriers and protect his friends from Dark Riku's attacks. He focused his power and launched psychic projectiles at the villain, trying to find an opening in his defenses.

Goofy swung his God Save the King Shield with all his might, parrying Dark Riku's strikes and retaliating with powerful blows. His loyalty to his friends and his determination to protect them gave him strength beyond measure.

The battle was fierce and intense, with Dark Riku's powers of reality making him a formidable adversary. He twisted the environment around them, creating illusions and distortions that made it difficult for the heroes to land a solid hit.

But they refused to back down. They fought with everything they had, using their skills, abilities, and the power of their hearts to stand against the darkness.

Thor summoned a bolt of lightning, sending it crashing towards Dark Riku. But the villain simply waved his hand, and the lightning dissipated into thin air.

"Your powers are nothing compared to the Reality Stone's might," Dark Riku sneered. "You are all just puppets in Infinite's grand design!"

Silver gritted his teeth, refusing to let Dark Riku's words get to him. He concentrated his PSI abilities, forming a powerful psychic barrier around his friends to protect them from Dark Riku's attacks.

Kairi's determination burned brightly in her eyes as she pressed forward, striking at Dark Riku with all her strength. She was not just fighting for herself but for all the worlds that had been affected by Infinite's darkness.

Classic Sonic kept up his relentless assault, his spin dash creating whirlwinds of speed that struck at Dark Riku from all angles. He refused to be held back by the villain's illusions, trusting in his instincts and the bonds he shared with his friends.

Goofy stood tall, defending against Dark Riku's attacks with unwavering courage. He knew the true power of the heart, and he believed in the strength of their friendship to overcome any obstacle.

As the battle raged on, the heroes found themselves pushed to their limits. Dark Riku's powers were vast, and he seemed to have an answer for every move they made.

But in the midst of the chaos, they found strength in each other. They fought as a team, supporting and protecting one another, and their unity made them stronger than they could ever be alone.

"We won't let you win!" Kairi declared, her voice ringing with determination.

Thor raised Stormbreaker high, channeling the power of lightning and thunder. "You may have the Reality Stone, but we have the power of our hearts!" he proclaimed.

Silver summoned his PSI abilities, pouring his emotions and memories into his power. "You may have twisted reality, but we have the strength of our bonds!" he declared.

Classic Sonic flashed Dark Riku a defiant grin, his blue eyes burning with resolve. "You may have Infinite's backing, but we have something he'll never understand: the power of friendship!" he declared.

Goofy nodded, his eyes shining with loyalty and determination. "We'll always stand together, no matter what!" he declared.

With a final surge of determination, the heroes launched a coordinated attack on Dark Riku, their Keyblades, hammers, and psychic powers striking in perfect harmony.

They fought as one, united in purpose and resolve. And as their combined strength collided with the darkness, a blinding light engulfed the dark tower, illuminating the shattered city around them.

When the light cleared, Dark Riku lay defeated on the ground, the corrupted Reality Stone's power fading from his grasp.

***PHASE 2***

The heroes braced themselves as the environment around them twisted and shifted, the power of the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby warping reality itself. Buildings seemed to materialize out of thin air, their surroundings changing rapidly as if they were trapped within a never-ending maze.

Infinite's sinister laughter echoed through the air as he watched their reactions. "Let's see how well you do in a little game of my creation," he taunted, his eyes gleaming with malevolence.

Suddenly, the ground beneath them gave way, and the heroes found themselves falling through a vortex of swirling colors and shapes. They landed in a strange and surreal landscape, where gravity seemed to shift at a moment's notice, causing them to stumble and lose their balance.

Thor steadied himself with Stormbreaker, his eyes scanning their surroundings. "Stay focused, friends," he called out. "Don't let the illusions get the better of you!"

Kairi nodded, gripping her Destiny Embrace Keyblade tightly. She focused on the strength of her heart, trying to see through the illusions and find a path forward.

Goofy swung God Save the King Shield around, using it to block a barrage of illusory attacks. "Gawrsh, this ain't gonna be easy," he said, his determination unwavering.

Silver's PSI abilities flared to life as he used his psychokinesis to keep the group together. "We have to keep moving forward," he said. "Infinite wants us to get lost in this maze, but we can't let that happen!"

Classic Sonic sped around the landscape, using his speed to dodge the illusions that tried to throw him off course. He had faced similar challenges before, and he knew that the key was to keep moving and stay focused.

Infinite's voice taunted them from all directions. "Lost in a world of illusions," he sneered. "How fitting for a group of fools like you."

But the heroes refused to be swayed. They pressed on, relying on their instincts and their bonds of friendship to guide them through the ever-shifting maze.

As they continued, the environment around them changed once again, transforming into a twisted reflection of their greatest fears and regrets. Memories from the past resurfaced, haunting them and threatening to consume them with doubt and despair.

Thor's heart sank as he found himself reliving the painful memory of his mother's death. He saw the dark elf, Malekith, strike down Frigga with a cold and heartless gaze. The grief and guilt that he had buried deep within his heart resurfaced, and he felt the weight of his failure to protect her.

Kairi's fears and regrets manifested as a haunting vision of her time trapped in the darkness. She saw herself standing alone on Destiny Islands, abandoned and forgotten by those she loved. The pain of loneliness and the fear of being unable to protect her friends engulfed her, causing tears to well up in her eyes.

Goofy's heart was burdened with regrets of not being there for his friends when they needed him most. He saw himself standing by helplessly as his friends faced danger and adversity, and he felt the weight of his perceived shortcomings as a true protector and companion.

Silver's fears emerged as a vision of a future he was unable to change. He saw the devastation of his world, Crisis City, in ruins, and felt the immense responsibility he carried as a guardian of time. The weight of knowing that he could not save everyone weighed heavily on his shoulders.

Classic Sonic's fears were a reflection of the loneliness he felt when separated from his friends and allies. He saw himself running through a vast void, searching desperately for someone to share his adventures with. The fear of being alone and lost in an unfamiliar world gripped his heart.

However, the heroes drew strength from each other, supporting one another in their moments of weakness. Thor's encouragement, Kairi's unwavering belief, Goofy's unwavering loyalty, Silver's determination, and Classic Sonic's fearless optimism—all of it helped to keep them grounded.

As they moved forward, the illusions grew more intense and deceptive. They faced dark reflections of themselves, their doubts and insecurities personified in the form of shadowy doppelgangers.

But the heroes fought back with all their might. They recognized that these illusions were just that—illusions—and they refused to let them define who they were.

Thor summoned the power of lightning, casting a brilliant glow that dispelled the darkness around them. Kairi channeled her inner strength and courage, her Destiny Embrace Keyblade glowing with light as she struck down the illusions with a fierce determination.

Goofy swung his God Save the King Shield, protecting his friends from the onslaught of attacks. Silver used his PSI abilities to create barriers and shield them from harm.

Classic Sonic, in his indomitable spirit, dashed forward with a spin dash, breaking through the illusions and showing the others that they were stronger than their fears.

Infinite's mocking laughter filled the air, but the heroes paid him no mind. They had faced the darkness within themselves and emerged stronger for it. They had proven that their bonds of friendship and the power of their hearts were unshakeable.

As the illusions finally dissipated, the heroes found themselves back in the dark tower, face-to-face with Infinite once more. He scowled at them, unable to comprehend how they had overcome his challenges.

"You may have defeated my illusions, but you will never defeat me," he growled, raising the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby.

But the heroes stood tall, their spirits unbroken. They had faced the darkness head-on, and they were ready to face whatever Infinite threw their way.

"Bring it on," Thor said, his voice steady and unwavering. "We're not afraid of you."

Kairi nodded, her eyes shining with determination. "We fight for the light and for a better future," she declared. "And we won't let you stand in our way!"

Goofy grinned, holding his shield in front of him. "We're a team, and we're in this together," he said. "You won't defeat us!"

Silver's PSI abilities crackled with energy as he faced Infinite. "We've come too far to give up now," he said. "We won't let you destroy our future!"

Classic Sonic flashed Infinite a thumbs-up, his blue eyes filled with confidence. "You may have the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby, but we have something even more powerful—our friendship!"

With a battle cry, the heroes charged forward, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Infinite summoned illusions and twisted reality around them, but the heroes remained steadfast.

Thor swung Stormbreaker, summoning lightning and thunder to strike at Infinite. Kairi unleashed powerful combos with her Destiny Embrace Keyblade, weaving in and out of the illusions with grace and precision.

Goofy used his shield to block Infinite's attacks, retaliating with powerful strikes of his own. Silver used his PSI abilities to create shields and projectiles, keeping Infinite on his toes.

Classic Sonic dashed around, using his speed and spin dash to launch surprise attacks from all directions.

Infinite countered with the powers of the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby, warping reality to his advantage. He created illusions of himself, making it difficult for the heroes to tell which one was real.

But the heroes refused to back down. They fought with all their might, using their powers and working together as a team.

As the battle raged on, the dark tower trembled and shook. The power of the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby clashed with the heroes' determination and friendship.

Infinite's taunts grew more desperate as he realized that he was losing control. But he fought on, unwilling to give up without a fight. But in the end, it was the power of friendship that prevailed. The heroes stood united, their hearts shining with the light of hope and courage.

As the heroes stood united, they knew that to defeat Infinite, they needed to combine their powers and work together as a team. They formed a circle, each one extending their hand towards the center, where the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby hovered.

Silver held out his hands, using his PSI abilities to create a swirling vortex of energy. Thor called upon the power of thunder and lightning, channeling it into Stormbreaker. Kairi's Destiny Embrace Keyblade glowed with radiant light, and Goofy's God Save the King Shield shimmered with a protective aura.

Classic Sonic spun into action, his blue form blurring as he accelerated to incredible speeds. He circled around the others, gathering their combined energy into a single focal point.

With a unified battle cry, the heroes released their combined attack. Silver's swirling vortex of energy merged with Thor's thunder and lightning, creating a storm of raw power. Kairi's radiant light and Goofy's protective aura blended seamlessly with the others, amplifying the attack even further.

Classic Sonic's speed reached its peak, and with a final burst of energy, he launched himself forward with the Homing Attack. The concentrated force of their combined powers struck Infinite like a cosmic cannon, enveloping him in a dazzling display of light and energy.

Infinite staggered under the force of the attack, his dark aura fading away. The Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby slipped from his grasp, their glow dimming until they were nothing more than ordinary stones.

As the heroes' attack subsided, Infinite fell to his knees, his once menacing demeanor replaced with defeat. He looked up at them, his eyes wide with disbelief. Infinite looked stunned, unable to comprehend how the heroes had mustered such power. He tried to raise to his feet again, to reclaim the stones and continue the fight, but his strength was waning.

Classic Sonic's speed was unmatched as he darted past Infinite, snatching the Phantom Ruby and Reality Stone from the ground in the blink of an eye. With a mischievous grin, he zoomed over to Thor and placed the powerful artifacts in the Thunder God's hands.

Thor's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly realized what Classic Sonic had in mind. "Thank you, little one," Thor said, giving the hedgehog a nod of gratitude.

Classic Sonic flashed him a thumbs-up and a wink, his eyes filled with determination. He may not be able to speak, but his actions spoke volumes.

With the combined powers of the Phantom Ruby and Reality Stone, Thor felt an immense surge of energy flow through him. He could feel the raw power coursing through his veins, and he knew that he now had the means to set things right.

Infinite struggled to his feet, his dark eyes filled with anger and desperation. He knew that his plans were unraveling, and he would not go down without a fight.

"I won't let you take away my purpose!" Infinite roared, summoning a barrage of dark energy at the heroes.

Despite his weakened state, Infinite refused to go down without a final stand. His dark energy surged around him, swirling like a violent storm. The heroes braced themselves for the onslaught, ready to face whatever Infinite had left to throw at them.

With a defiant cry, Infinite unleashed his darkest and most powerful attack yet. The shadows converged, forming massive tendrils of darkness that shot towards the heroes with frightening speed. The ground beneath them trembled with the force of the attack, and it seemed like the very fabric of reality was being torn apart.

Kairi, Silver, Goofy, and Classic Sonic sprang into action, using every ounce of their strength and skill to deflect and counter Infinite's attack. They formed a united front, each using their unique abilities to protect one another and stand strong against the overwhelming darkness.

Thor stepped forward, raising Stormbreaker high above his head. He called upon the power of lightning and thunder, channeling the energy of the storm to push back against the encroaching darkness. The clash of lightning and shadows filled the air, creating a dazzling display of light and darkness.

The battle raged on, with the heroes refusing to back down and Infinite growing increasingly desperate. He knew that he was outnumbered and outmatched, but he was determined to go down fighting.

However, the combined strength and determination of the heroes proved to be too much for Infinite to handle. With a final surge of energy, they managed to break through his dark defenses and strike him with a powerful blow.

Infinite let out a pained cry as he was thrown back, his dark form flickering and wavering like a dying flame. He staggered, his strength faltering, and it became clear that he could no longer keep up the fight.

"Give it up, Infinite," Kairi said, her voice firm and unwavering. "Your darkness can't consume us. We stand together, and we won't let you destroy our future."

Infinite's dark eyes narrowed, his once proud and defiant demeanor now replaced with uncertainty and fear. He knew that he had been defeated, that his plans had crumbled before him.

With a final surge of energy, Infinite mustered one last act of defiance. He summoned what little power he had left, attempting to open a portal to escape. But before he could make his escape, Thor raised Stormbreaker high and summoned a bolt of lightning that struck Infinite's hand, shattering his portal and leaving him trapped.

"No more running," Thor said, his voice steady and resolute. "You will face justice for your actions."

Infinite glared at the heroes, his dark form fading away like smoke in the wind. He had been defeated, his plans thwarted, and he knew that there was no escape.

***END OF BATTLE***

As the heroes watched, Infinite's form began to disintegrate, like shadows scattering in the wind. The power of the Phantom Ruby and the Reality Stone, combined with the intense battle they had just fought, had taken a toll on him that he could no longer bear.

Dark energy wisped and curled around him, swirling in a chaotic dance as his once formidable figure dissolved into nothingness. His dark form flickered and wavered, the glow of the Phantom Ruby and Reality Stone fading away.

The last traces of his defiant glare were replaced with a look of shock and disbelief. He had thought himself invincible, untouchable in his quest for power, but now he was crumbling into nothingness.

Infinite's once proud and confident demeanor was replaced with uncertainty and fear. He reached out, as if trying to grasp onto something to anchor himself, but his dark fingers passed through the empty air, finding nothing to hold onto.

With each passing moment, more of his body gave way to the darkness, dissipating like smoke in the wind. The darkness swallowed him, consuming him from within, until all that remained was a faint echo of his once powerful presence.

The heroes watched in silence, witnessing the end of a being who had caused so much chaos and destruction. And while they had defeated him, there was also a sense of sadness, for they knew that Infinite had been consumed by the very darkness he had sought to control.

As the last tendrils of darkness dissipated, all that remained was the dark aura that lingered in the air, a haunting reminder of the battle that had taken place.

"Is he... gone?" Silver asked, his voice filled with both relief and uncertainty.

Thor nodded solemnly. "Yes, it seems so. The power of the Ruby and Stone overwhelmed him."

Kairi stepped forward, her expression thoughtful. "Infinite was consumed by his own darkness. It's a reminder of how dangerous and destructive the pursuit of power can be."

Goofy placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You're right, Kairi. It's a reminder for all of us to stay true to ourselves and to the light."

Classic Sonic, although unable to speak, gave a nod of agreement. He understood the importance of staying true to one's own principles, even in the face of darkness.

The heroes stood in somber reflection, knowing that while they had defeated Infinite, there would always be new challenges and foes to face. But they were united, and together, they could overcome anything.

With a sense of resolution, they turned away from the fading darkness and prepared to continue their journey. They knew that their adventure was far from over, but they were ready to face whatever lay ahead, knowing that the light of their friendship and unity would guide them through the darkest of times.

***EXITING THE TOWER TO CRISIS CITY***

As the sun's rays broke through the dark and gloomy clouds, a warm light spread across Crisis City, illuminating the apocalyptic streets that had long been shrouded in darkness. Silver couldn't help but smile as he felt the warmth on his face, realizing that he hadn't seen the sun in years in his time. It was a small glimmer of hope in the midst of the desolation that surrounded them.

Thor, holding the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby in his hand, was lost in his thoughts, still processing the visions he had seen. He wondered if his mother, Frigga, was still with him in some way, watching over him somehow. The power of the stones had given him a glimpse into alternate realities, and he couldn't help but wonder what other possibilities lay ahead.

Kairi, too, was deep in thought as she looked around at her companions. She knew that they were not just fighting for their own worlds and loved ones, but for everyone who had been affected by the darkness. The memories of the fallen and the lost were still fresh in her mind, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility to carry on their legacy and bring hope back to the universe.

"We're not alone in this fight," Kairi said softly, her voice filled with determination. "Everyone we've ever known and loved, they're all with us, in our hearts and in our memories. They've given us the strength to keep going, no matter how dark things may seem."

Goofy nodded, his expression serious. "You're right, Kairi. We gotta keep going, for them and for everyone else who needs us. We can't let the darkness win."

Silver looked at the group, his eyes shining with hope. "And we won't," he said firmly. "We're united, and together, we can overcome anything. We've already shown that we can take down Infinite and his darkness. Now, we just need to find the other stones and stop Mephiles from using them to destroy everything."

Classic Sonic, standing beside them, gave a small, reassuring thumbs up. Though he couldn't speak, his actions spoke volumes, reminding them that they were all in this together.

Thor smiled but something was playing on his mind, he needed answers. He gave Silver the ruby and stone and asked him to hold these for a moment. Thor then looked out to the distance and raised his now free hand into the air.

As Thor held out his hand, a look of hope and anticipation on his face, the others watched curiously, wondering what he was waiting for. Suddenly, from the distance, a flash of light appeared, and they saw something hurtling towards Thor. It was Mjolnir, his mighty hammer, crackling with energy as it flew through the air.

Silver held the Phantom Ruby and Reality Stone that Thor had handed to him and looked on in awe as Mjolnir came to rest in Thor's outstretched hand. The hammer looked different from the one they were familiar with – it was cracked and appeared to have been fixed together with powerful magic, after it was smashed like glass by Hela 200 years in the past. But despite its appearance, there was no denying the familiar weight and power it held.

Thor grinned, a mixture of relief and joy spreading across his face. "I knew it," he said triumphantly. "No matter the challenges I faced, no matter the darkness that threatened to consume me, I am still worthy."

Kairi smiled at Thor, her admiration for the God of Thunder growing even more. "You've been through so much, Thor," she said. "And yet, you never gave up. You never lose sight of who you are and what you stand for."

Silver nodded in agreement. "You're an inspiration, Thor," he said. "To never lose hope, to keep fighting even in the darkest of times, that's what makes you worthy."

As Thor held Mjolnir in his hand, he felt a surge of power and strength flow through him. The hammer responded to his touch, proving that he was still the worthy warrior he had always been. It didn't matter that the hammer was cracked and fixed together – its power was as potent as ever, and it recognized its true master.

But as they celebrated Thor's triumph, a thought crossed their minds. If Mjolnir was here in this future timeline, did that mean Thor was alive as well? Or was the hammer the only remnant of him that remained in this dark and twisted world?

Thor himself seemed unsure, gazing at Mjolnir with a mix of emotions. "I don't know," he admitted. "This timeline is a strange and twisted place. But for now, we must focus on our mission. We need to find the other stones and stop Mephiles from using them to bring more darkness to the multiverse."

Kairi nodded, her determination unwavering. "You're right," she said. "We can't let ourselves get distracted. We have a duty to protect the universe and bring back everyone lost."

Silver held the Reality Stone and the Phantom Ruby in his hand, a reminder of the power they possessed and the responsibility they carried. "Let's finish this," he said firmly. "We've come this far, and we won't back down now."

As the team looked at each other, they noticed something odd going on with Classic Sonic. Also a weird sound was coming from the Phantom Ruby in Silver's hand.

"Sonic, are you ok?" asked Kairi, looking towards her new friend.

Sonic looked puzzled and opened his glove to see his Phantom Ruby was giving off a weird sound and red flashing light blinking rapidly. As the Phantom Rubies in both Silver's and Classic Sonic's hands began to emit a red aura and make strange noises, Classic Sonic's face showed surprise and realization. He knew that his version of the Phantom Ruby was activating and taking him back to his own dimension.

Sonic's body began to fade, but he still managed to give everyone a wave to say goodbye. Though he couldn't speak, his body language conveyed his gratitude and fondness for his newfound friends. He had formed a strong bond with them in the short time they had spent together, and he knew he would miss them.

Thor, Silver, Kairi, and Goofy gathered around Classic Sonic, bidding him farewell with heavy hearts. They knew that he had his own dimension to save and that he had fulfilled his mission here in this dark future timeline.

Silver nodded, understanding that the Phantom Ruby from his own time was sending Sonic home. "Take care, Sonic," he said, his voice filled with genuine warmth and friendship. "Thank you for everything."

Kairi stepped forward, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "You're a true hero, Sonic," she said. "Keep the light bright back home, and remember that you have friends here who will always support you."

Goofy offered a comforting pat on Sonic's shoulder, saying, "Gawrsh, it's been an honor fighting alongside ya, Sonic. We'll miss ya pal."

Thor approached Sonic, the weight of his own emotions evident on his face. "You may be from another dimension, but you're a hero through and through," he said. "Your courage and determination inspire us all. Farewell, my friend."

As Sonic's form continued to fade, the red aura from the Phantom Ruby surrounding him, he gave one final wave before disappearing completely. The sound of the Phantom Ruby grew fainter until it was silent, leaving the heroes standing there with a mix of emotions.

"He'll be alright," Silver said with a small smile. "Sonic is a hero, and heroes always find a way."

Kairi nodded, wiping a tear from her eye. "You're right," she said. "Sonic is strong and will overcome whatever challenges he faces."

Goofy agreed, adding, "Yep, and he knows we're here for him if he ever needs us."

Thor looked up at the sky, a sense of hope filling his heart. "We all have our own battles to fight," he said. "And wherever Sonic is, I believe he'll bring light to his dimension, just as we will here."

With renewed determination, the four heroes continued on their journey, knowing that though Sonic had returned to his own dimension, their bonds of friendship and unity would remain strong. They had faced many challenges together, and they knew that they would face many more in the future.

But with their newfound strength, resolve, and the power of the Reality Stone and Phantom Ruby in their possession, they were ready to take on whatever darkness lay ahead. Together, they would protect the universe and bring back the light, just as Sonic had inspired them to do.

"Let's get back to the past and get the stone to Doctor Banner and Tails." Goofy noted, looking at his allies.

The other three nodded in agreement and in sync, all four of the time traveling heroes double tapped their Time-Space GPS bracelets on their hands and they shrunk down back into the Quantum Realm, to travel 200 years into the past. With the Reality Stone safely in their possession, the heroes knew that their next steps were crucial. They needed to regroup with the rest of their team, share what they had learned about Mephiles and his plans, and prepare for the ultimate showdown.
