In a small dark room in an unknown place in the forest there sat two people, the one wore shinobi attire and had a leaf headband that was scratched to signify the man's rogue status. In front of him on the other side of the table sat a shady figure which was gigantic in height and very muscular, clad in full iron Armour and a kusarigama tied around his waist the shady figure looked terrific. Both people sat in front of each other and a wooden table was placed between the two, a dim table lamp flickered on it. The supposed rogue leaf ninja was tied to his chair and several movement and chakra restriction seals on his body. He was trembling with fear and his eyes were focused on the table to avoid looking at the other man.
"Why, you've been a double agent all this time, little Yoichi. Haven't we paid you enough?" The shady figure questioned in a relaxed voice.
"The plan was concealed from everyone and only the Iwa council, and you, knew about it. You gave us information on the Uchiha's whereabouts and how to infiltrate the leaf but guess what? The leaf also knows the location of our planned hiding place. Did you think we would not know it? Your actions have been disclosed and you must pay for betraying us." The shady figure continued as he pulled his face nearer and his face was visible with the table lamps light. It was Yoroi.
"Please s-spare me, I do not know anything of how Konoha came to know about the plan." The former leaf shinobi replied in a shaking voice.
"Don't waste my time trying to justify yourself, we know what you've been up to." Yoroi replied and as he said so he pulled out his sword, a second later the captive konoha ninja fell dead and Yoroi's blade was dripping with blood.
Yoroi then called out, "Tatsu, come and clean this mess. I don't like the metallic smell of blood when we are interrogating." And he left the room.
The building was not big but enough to house the Iwa ninja, upon entering it you could see the main hall which connected all six rooms, and there was nothing else in the building. Yoroi proceeded to the room at the end of the hallway and seated himself on a desk there, The room was well-furnished and tidy compared to the others, the room also had several shelves containing files. Yoroi took a sheet of paper and a pen then started writing something. After fifteen minutes or so he got up again and exited the room, entering the one opposite to it and handing the paper to an Iwa Anbu.
"I need you to deliver this report to lady Tsuchikage, its of utmost importance and you must protect it with your life, as the information it contains is vital for the operation." Yoroi said.
The Anbu shook his head and left the room in the blink of an eye.
In the Hokage tower, Konohagakure
Naruto sat in his Hokage seat straight up and was shandling some paperwork when the door to the office opened,
"You sent for me, Naruto?" A familiar voice asked, Naruto looked up, it was Sasuke Uchiha. The man had the same face he always bore and his usual attire with the cloak. Naruto smiled a little at his friend's sight and then replied,
"Yes Sasuke, I had sent for you. The thing is that I will be going to Amegakure for a diplomatic meeting and I would like you to accompany me with several others in the journey."
"So I am your bodyguard?" Sasuke asked.
Yes, for a week. The others that would be coming with us are Shikamaru, Yamato-sensei and several Anbu." Naruto replied.
"And what of the village?"
"Kakashi sensei will take care of the village while I am away in Amegakure."
"Well, sensei was glad to have retired and doesn't seem very keen on doing paperwork." Sasuke commented.
"He spent thirty years doing paperwork, he can do it." Naruto chuckled a little and then continued,
"Anyways, we will be departing tomorrow, so make your preparations as it will be a long journey."
And as such the other day Naruto with his escorts and gaurds set off for the hidden rain village, there isn't much to tell about the journey so I will cut straight to when they are about to reach their destination.
At the gates of Amegakure
Naruto and his escort had finally conpleted their journey and they could see the hidden rain village from a distance. Sasuke glanced at the shinobi village and said to Naruto,
"This village is completely different from how I remember it from my rogue days. These enormous walls weren't there before, and the layout of the village has completely changed. Not to ignore the large tower in the centre." Naruto quitely heard his friend and responded,
"You were always on missions away to distant lands so I can't blame you if you are not caught up in current affairs. Anyways, After the death of pain and the dissolution of the Akatsuki, one of the council members who was the head of the Rain Anbu seized control of the village. He was but a benevolent dictator who repaired the village and brought times of peace. But he died two years ago and without any successors a power vaccum has been created in the village. Since the death of the daimyo of this land there had been competition between the two sons of the Daimyo which later escalated into a full on civil war. Even Amegakure was divided between the supporters of the elder and the younger son respectively, and with the instability and no powerful leader to control the situation Ame has been in chaos for the past years. The supporters of the usurping younger son have created a different faction and village near the capital of this land, though they are not recognized by the other villages. It is anticipated that the country will be divided between the two brothers." Sasuke quitely listened to the long narrative and then spoke,
"Well, how come none of the commoners and even shinobi like me have no idea what's going on here. I travel the world and I've not heard even a gossip on this topic."
"Well, even after the death of Pain or Nagato, the former dictator still practiced an isolationist policy and convinced the former deceased Daimyo to prohibit anyone from hiring other villages for missions in the nation. This way they have created a monopoly over missions in their land and that's also why you never ventured into this country in the last thirty years." Naruto replied calmly. Sasuke was satisfied with the answer and the escort quitely continued into the hidden Rain village.
The Shinobi and Hokage of Konoha were warmly welcomed by the leader of Ame who went by the name of Arashi. Naruto along with Sasuke and Shikamaru were ushered into a "meeting room" in the central tower. Naruto sat face-to-face with Arashi and Shikamaru and Sasuke stood beside him, with the Ame leader's advisor standing beside Arashi.
"Had there been any trouble during the journey, Lord Hokage?" Arashi asked.
"Oh, no, the journey was peaceful and convenient." Naruto replied in a friendly manner.
"Okay then, lord Hokage, why did you ask for this meeting? What do you wish to discuss that has made you to travel in times of war?" The Ame leader questioned in a serious tone.
"Well, lord Arashi, we wished for a passage agreement with your village so that our troops can pass through your territory without any trouble."
"Interesting how the same Konoha which violated our borders so many times in the past wars is seeking a passage agreement now." Arashi said while glancing keenly at Naruto, Sasuke and Shikamaru.
"Well, we don't risk war with another village for no reason." Naruto replied.
"I would easily agree for an alliance, lord Hokage, only if you provide us with a hostage to seal the deal."
"And who do you want?" Naruto questioned with an irritated look. Arashi grinned a little and then spoke,
"You."
As Arashi said so he quickly pulled out several shuriken and kunai and threw them at Naruto, Sasuke quickly retaliated and deflected the kunai and shuriken with his sword. Sasuke activated his sharingan and rushed at Arashi for a counter-attack but the latter disappeared into smoke. Naruto quickly stood up and got into battle position while Sasuke and Shikamaru covered him. Several masked Ame ninja appeared and surrounded the place. Arashi then reappeared.
"What is this outrage, Lord Arashi!?" Naruto questioned angrily.
"OH, well lord Hokage, it's just that your foes will pay a hefty sum for your head. And besides, you and your whole faction is facing three great nations and several others so there's no point in us aligning ourselves with the losing side." Arashi replied and then directed the Ame ninja to attack Naruto, Sasuke and Shikamaru.
Several of the Ame shinobi went outside and created a barrier around the whole building to not let their foes escape. And the whole tower was filled with Ame shinobi and Anbu top to bottom. Naruto, Sasuke and Shikamaru were surrounded and outnumbered completely. Arashi ordered as he walked out of the room,
"Kill them all."
A wave of Ame ninja charged towards Naruto and engaged in combat with Sasuke, who fought them with his sword. This fight was to be a tough one as it was happening in a small and closed place. Sasuke activated his sharingan in order to gain an advantage over his foes, but was immediately shocked.
"What's the matter Uchiha? Can't you see through their eyes and read their movements?" Arashi's advisor, who had stayed spoke,
"Well, there masks are made of a special material. One which the Akatsuki member Tobi used. No Dojutsu or ocular ability will affect a person who is wearing this mask, perhaps your biggest power is now eliminated."
The shinobi kept fighting, the wave of shinobi was engaged in melee combat with Sasuke and Naruto, while several shinobi stayed back and threw shurikens at them. Sasuke, Naruto and Shikamaru quickly realized they are at a disadvantage in these closed spaces. Sasuke tries doing a lightning style jutsu to break the walls and get out of the building but is prevented from weaving the hand signs, because of the constant pressure put by the Ame shinobi, Shikamaru tries his shadow possession jutsu but prevented as well.
'We can't win this fight in such closed spaces. We must get out.' Sasuke thinks to himself and then activates his eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Creating a susanoo, and as the purple rib cage appears it Shields Sasuke, Naruto and Shikamaru from the constant attacks. Then the upper skeleton appears which destroys the whole room, the Ame shinobi start to retreat. The susanoo rises and as the lower body also forms the whole building collapses. The meeting room was on the top floor, and as Sasuke's susanoo raised above the building the citizens and shinobi of Ame looked with awe and shock. All the shinobi of the village start rushing towards the central tower.
Sasuke's susanoo kills almost every enemy ninja in the room and the rest retreat back. Then the Susanoo gets muscles, and at last the gigantic chakra creature is coated with armor and wields a sword. The bright purple susanoo of Sasuke illuminates in the rain as hundreds of shinobi gather around the near destroyed tower.
