"Things were simpler during the war, you knew what mattered to you," commented Bumblebee, gentle sloshing his cup of Energon around in his glass. With him were Arcee, his partner at the Cyberton Elite Guard, and Wheeljack, who had essentially retired from the military and was just enjoying life on post war Cybertron.
"Think we can all agree to that, Bee," remarked Wheeljack, leaning against the bar the trio agreed to meet at, MacCadam's.
"The war left scars on everyone, some more than others," said Arcee with a sigh, "But we made friends, family during that war."
"A family that continues to grow, even now!" Interjected MacCadam, approaching the trio from his side of the bar, a broad smile on his faceplate, "I mean, you just went barreling into the fray to save Iron Man from a human that can control gravity!"
"Last time I checked, Mac, humans can't do that," snorted Wheeljack in amusement, folding his arms.
"Yeah, you may need to lay off the high grade stuff for a while, big guy," added Bumblebee. MacCadam only responded with a hearty laugh.
Elsewhere, Bumblebee was at the shrine dedicated to Optimus Prime. He was standing on the bridge looking down at the reflecting pool, his optics wide with shock when he saw Optimus in the reflection.
"Optimus...," said Bumblebee in shock as he watched the reflection suddenly point to the officer's right. Following the gesture, Bumblebee saw it was pointing to the History Museum of Cybertron and Earth.
"Bee, where are you going?" Called out Arcee as she and Wheeljack went after their friend when he suddenly sped off without warning.
"What's gotten into him?" Asked Wheeljack, keeping up with the two-wheeler.
Bumblebee emerged from the Spacebridge, taking note of his surroundings. It was then he heard more footsteps behind him and saw Arcee and Wheeljack had followed him through the portal.
"What are you doing here?" Demanded Bumblebee, taking a few steps towards the two Autobots.
"If you think we're gonna sit this out, you're dead wrong, Bee," stated Arcee, not exactly pleased her partner ditched her, "Whatever it is Optimus needs you here on Earth for, I'm here too."
"You can count me in too," added Wheeljack with an amused, "if only because this little blue marble has no shortage of fun."
Before Bumblebee could tell either of them to go back to Cybertron, the Spacebridge closed.
"By order of S.H.I.E.L.D., step out of the vehicles and surrender," demanded a human soldier wearing dark blue, navy, and grey uniform with an Eagle on the shoulders. Among the soldiers were also others that wore what could basically be battle armor. The armored suits all had helmets with glowing blue optics. Presently, the soldiers had two of the three Autobots, who were presently in their vehicle modes, surrounded.
"Getting an itchy trigger finger, Bee," commented Wheeljack.
"Stay in vehicle mode, we can't attack the humans," stated Bumblebee, "Hopefully Arcee can bail us out soon."
"This is one of four major supervillain prisons."
The Cube, The Vault, The Big House, and The Raft appeared on a sort of window, or barrier. In a parallel dimension, a sort of Unspace, a dark figure is observing each prison facility. A new window opens, displaying the Autobot prison ship carrying Cybertron's most wanted Decepticons.
"The Alchemor is Cybertron's maximum security prison ship, harboring some of our world's most dangerous Decepticons."
From the shadowy void, a clawed hand reached out towards the window showing the Alchemor. Merely flexing the claws, the prison ship snapped in two and began to fall towards Earth. The hand then passed over the other the prisons on Earth. Each prison experienced their own failure; the Cube exploded outward, several explosions burst from the Vault, the Big House's Pym Particles caused it to resume original size and tire out of the Helicarrier from the inside, while the Raft's systems completely shut down.
The clawed hand lowered and through the shadows, red eyes glowed with malice.
"The Decepticon prisoners from the Alchemor are now free and could easily overwhelm most human military forces."
"Where's your squadron?" Asked Fixit, looking around to see if he could find anymore Autobots aside from Bumblebee and Wheeljack.
"I'm afraid we're it," replied Bumblebee with a shrug, "There's a third member, but she's scouting the area."
"Oh," replied Fixit.
"We've got bigger problems than the Hulk, a crashed alien ship and five alien robots; I will have answers to that last one later," stated Nick Fury as he approached Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Arcee, Grimlock, Iron Man, Thor, Wasp, Ant-Man, and the Hulk, "74 supervillains are now on the loose all across the country. Maybe the world by now."
"How did this happen, Fury?" demanded Iron Man, addressing the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
"I don't know, but we can find out together," The Director of SHIELD offered to the heroes, "Come work for me. As SHIELD agent, you can make a real difference."
Before anyone could respond, Ant-Man spoke up.
"No, this is your fault, isn't it?" Accused the scientist, "S.H.I.E.L.D created Graviton. Whatever you had Hall doing, it changed him. You kept it under wraps, and this happened."
"Seems like Earth hasn't changed much from when we were last here," commented Wheeljack, folding his arms.
"Looks like the bots came back to their home away from home," noted a government agent as he was making his way to Star Tower, where he knew that they would be gathered following the battle with Graviton and Underbite.
"Take it easy on them, Jack," said a voice over his cars Bluetooth system, "They were rebuilding their home, they had a lot to get back to."
"Trust me Raf, with how Miko will act, I won't need to do anything," pointed out Jack Darby, having grown up quite a bit and was still working with Unit E, "Though I will give them a fair heads up and reminder that she still has the Apex Armor."
"Fury's right."
"What?!" Wasp said, equally as shocked, "You of all people are going to work for S.H.I.E.L.D?"
"No, he's right about us making a difference together," elaborated Iron Man as he turned around to address the heroes, "One-on-one we can each take down a villain or two, but 74 none of us can do it alone."
"Not to mention, several of Cybertron's most wanted Decepticons are at large," pointed out Fixit, approaching the gathered heroes and Autobots.
"How many is 'several?'" Asked Arcee, placing a hand on her hip.
"Oh couple hundred," shrugged Fixit.
"All the more reason to work together," affirmed Iron Man.
"Together we have a chance. What we did here; it can change things."
The Avengers had cornered one of the escaped villains, Mandrill. Capturing this villain didn't take much more than cornering him for him to surrender.
"Aw, I was hoping to get some punching in!" Whined Grimlock, disappointed with how fast the villain surrendered.
"The world needs us, but not as S.H.I.E.L.D agents. As a team on our own, together we can avenge the wrongs caused by all these villains and Decepticons."
"We can be Avengers," concluded Wasp.
"Since our Robots in Diguise is pretty much out the window, we'll join you all," said Bumblebee, with Arcee nodding and Wheeljack smirking.
"Sure beats letting patchy over here peel my paint," snorted the Wrecker, glancing at Fury, who just frowned at him.
Underbite let out a roar as he punched the ground hard enough to cause a shockwave to knock the Autobots back. Having consumed several steel shipping containers.
"Yer outclassed, Autobots!" He boasted, flexing his muscles.
"And your roasted, muscle mouth!" Roared Grimlock as his mouth began glowing orange before flames erupted from his maw, blasting the Chompozoid with flames.
"I will make Earth into a Decepticon home world! A place I will rule!" Declared Steeljaw as he pounced on Bumblebee, knocking him down as the two began tumbling across the street.
Before he could ram his claws into Bee's chest, Arcee tackled Steeljaw and knocked him off her partner.
"Thanks for the save, 'Cee," thanked Bumblebee as he got up, the two wheeler forming up with her friend.
"Lost you once before, not losing you again," stated Arcee as she deployed her arm blades, with Team Prime's former scout deploying his wrist blasters.
"There is a great danger that will soon reveal itself," informed Optimus Prime, speaking to Bumblebee through a reflection, "What that danger is, I do not know."
"We'll handle the escaped Decepticons, Optimus," assured Bumblebee.
"I know you will, Bumblebee," replied the Prime, a small smile gracing his features, "I know you will lead your team well."
"There's a lot more to Earth than you realize," stated Arcee, speaking to the Avengers.
"You mean besides the dozens of super villains running around?" Pointed out Wasp.
It was then Jack Darby entered the room, taking off his sunglasses.
"Way more," he said before looking over at Arcee with a grin seeing his old partner, "Been a while, hasn't it partner?"
"Avengers Assemble and Roll Out!" Shouted Bumblebee as he transformed into his vehicle mode and sped off, the other Autobots doing the same with the Avengers joining them.
