(Alex's Pov)
A few weeks pass us by I had some nightmares here and there but I kept quiet about them. I would leave the room sometimes and lie to them saying I was getting nervous as the wedding got closer. Which wasn't a complete lie and currently, Anne Marcy and I were with Olivia as she explained how we could incorporate the Newt style of a wedding into what we wanted to do.
"Have you figured out what music will be playing?" Olivia asked.
"Music?" I asked.
"She means when one of us walks down the isle." Anne says.
"Oh that, here comes the bride?" I asked.
"Exactly." Marcy says and I think.
"You can use the human version if you need, we can get the newts for the band to play it." Yunan says as she takes a seat next to Olivia.
"Sure, I can get some music sheets." Marcy adds and I look to Anne who nods and so do I as we write down what we need to get.
"We also have some newts making food for each group, frogs, and toads." Olivia says and I look at her and I nod a bit at this.
"Are we going to be doing vows?" Marcy asked and I look to her.
"We could if you want… I'm going to step outside for a bit." I say as I get up and I hear my back and knees crack and I groaned a bit.
"Back problems?" Yunan asked.
"Nah just, sat for too long I think." I say as I walk out. I head out of the castle and take a breath of fresh air and I look around to see Newts going all over the place. Some were talking about the wedding for Marcy that was coming up, some hoping it was going to be a huge royal Newt wedding, how extravagant it was going to be. But it was just going to be a simple one, nothing to big, but everyone was welcomed to come and see. I look around and head over to the beaches and I look to the water a bit then take a seat in the sand. I watched as the newt families were relaxing on the beach and the little ones were running around and into the waters.
"Looks like a beautiful sight." I hear and look around and see no one next to me and I groan a bit.
"You again." I mutter and look back to the waters.
"I haven't seen a sight like this in over six hundred years." The voice says and I sit up a bit.
"You don't sound like the others." I say. I was glad I was a far distance from anyone to listen to me.
"I am not, I tried to make a difference in the Core, wanted peace, not destruction, but others were changed." The voice says and I sighed a bit.
"Hate makes people change drastically." I mutter.
"Wise words from such a young man." The voice says and I look down.
"I'm not wise in any way, I just know that I once hated lots of things, and it changed me, then… I had to change for the good of millions." I say to the voice.
"Yes, I saw." They say.
"And this is not some trick?" I mutter.
"No, I promise it is no trick." They say to me and I keep quiet. They end up leaving me alone and I take a breath of fresh air and I look to the sand and run my hands through it. I pick up some grains and then drop them back to the beach. There were more newts coming to the beach and then I hear some footsteps behind me so I turn to see Anne and Marcy.
"There you are, are you doing, ok?" Marcy asked and I nod.
"Oh yeah, just… scouting?" I questioned a bit and looked to them.
"Scouting?" Anne asked.
"Well… looking, for you know um… a nice spot." I mutter.
"Ah gotcha." She says and they take a seat next to me. Anne on my left and Marcy on my right.
"It's really nice here." I say and look to them.
"Oh yeah, it was nice when I first came here… and broke my leg falling down their stairs, but regardless it's really pretty." Marcy says and I look to the waters.
"Remember when I got here and you had that ant problem?" Anne asked and I look to them.
"Oh yeah and we used the stink shrooms, and I basically got eaten by the queen to save Sprig." Marcy says.
"You two have a habit of getting eaten by things here." I tell them and they laughed at this.
"You saying you haven't been eaten once?" Marcy asked.
"Hmmm, not that I recall, I think I almost got eaten by a Heron when I first got here, I don't think they ever had me in their stomach." I say and look to them.
"Well, you always had a plan for everything, even when we were kids." Anne says and I look to her.
"You two did great on your own without me, if I have to be honest." I tell them.
"I go eaten by a tomato plant Alex." Anne says as we look to each other and I shrugged.
"You ate it didn't you?" I asked.
"Well yeah but-."
"Everyone has I different… you had the planters, Marcy has Olivia and Yunan, I had Grime." I list off more people and look to them.
"Being Darcy though… I don't think-."
"You did fine, trust me I didn't last that long with that thing on my head, but to last ten years? You're resilient Mar-Mar, hate to meet the next person that tries to mess with you, big ol' nerd." I say and she laughed a bit.
"Hmm, so how have you two been?" I ask them out of random and placed each arm around their shoulders.
"Been ok, we needed a small break from the wedding planning but I think we got what Marc and I want; we just need your opinion." Anne stated.
"Hmm, I honestly don't care, let's be fair this is more for you two than me, I'd like something simple and small but if you guys want all of Amphibia to come, then by all means do so." I explained to them.
"Well if that is what you want, we can make a compromise, it's your day too." Marcy says and I shrug a bit.
"I'd like the entire rebellion to come, which is a lot but not really." I say.
"Ok we can do that." Marcy says and I nod a bit and then move my arms away.
"I don't know I just…. I'd just want you and Anne to work on it." I mutter.
"It's fine, if you do want to add anything just tell us, we can add into it." Anne says and I nod.
"But if I say something too late just tell me." I tell them.
"Boy if you want us to have them throw flowers after we kiss as a last-minute option, we will add it in." Anne says and I laughed.
"No, I like to have a plan, last minute stuff isn't really my thing." I say.
"We know." Both of them say and I smiled a bit.
"Well, we should head back in, I want to get a swimsuit on and dive into that cool water." Marcy says and I nod in agreement.
"That does sound good." I say as we all get up and head inside. I grabbed my swimming trunks as the other two got their bathing suits and I go to the spare room to get changed. Once done I took my street clothes and set them in our room when they were finished. I look at them as Marcy was sitting on the bed and she was holding her stomach a bit and I look to her then to Anne as Anne tried to comfort her.
"Sorry just… seeing it still… bothers me." Marcy says and I nod a bit.
"Yeah… bad memories… but hey scars are sexy." I say and they both look at me and I flex a bit showing off the scars across my body.
"Case in point." I say as they laughed at this. I stopped flexing and looked to Marcy as she still tried to cover her scar and I take a seat next to her.
"Hey, I get it… sometimes I hate showing my scars, people asked a lot of questions." I say.
"It just reminds me that… I was betrayed by the one person I thought I could trust." She says and I look to the ground.
"I mean at the time, I... god I worded that wrong, I'm sorry." She says.
"No, no you're fine Marcy, I get it." I tell her and look to Anne who had her hand on Marcy's shoulder.
"We know what you meant." She tells her and Marcy sighs.
"You could borrow my swim shirt if you want." I tell her and she nods and I g grab it and hand it to her as she put it on. It was a bit big on her and I shake my head as I chuckled.
"What? I'm small." She mutters.
"You're adorable." Both Anne and I say and we look to each other and then smiled and looked back to Marcy who was looking at us.
"Ready?" She asked and I nod and she gets up and we all head out.
"So, I was thinking about going to the library later tonight." Marcy says.
"Oh, date night?" Anne asked as we get to the waters.
"Well… I wanted to check out the second temple I had." She says and I look to her a bit.
"Would it even be a good idea?" Anne asked.
"We'll we haven't gone there in years." Marcy says.
"I'd actually like to go there too." I say.
"Seriously?" They both asked.
"Yeah, why not? The fact that it's still here and we could actually look into it… heck we can gain more information, I'd actually want to go to your temple too." I say to Anne.
"Well, what about yours? You said it's just ruble." Marcy says.
"We can work that out later, maybe it's a sign." I say and wave my hands a bit.
"What kind of sign?" Marcy asked.
"Not sure, I have some theories." I say as we go and sit close to the waters.
"Care to share?" Anne asked and I shrugged.
"It can get morbid." I say to them.
"Oh?" Marcy asked and I nod and think a bit.
"Well, let's say that in the future three people can gain the abilities of our gems like we did, maybe my gem is just done for, maybe there's only going to be two left." I explained.
"That… sounds depressing." Anne says.
"Or maybe I could build my own from this, I mean when I went there, I was Sasha, when I left, I was Alex." I tell them.
"You've always been Alex." Marcy mutters and I smile.
"Thanks… but you know what I mean… maybe I'm supposed to build my own temple, though I would like to look at all the writings I missed, got to have that knowledge." I joke.
"Nerds." Anne says and I smirk at her.
"Oh, does Anne want to repeat that again? Who got a degree?" I say putting my hand to my ear as she mutters.
"Sorry I can't hear you College girl." I say.
"I'm a nerd too." She laughed and then she shoved me and Marcy giggles a bit.
"Our Nerd." Marcy says and hugged Anne who laughed.
"Alright Nerds, let's get to swimming." I say as they almost fall into the water and I go running in and dive into a wave. I swim under the water a bit before poking my head out to see Anne and Marcy had gotten into the water as well and I go over to them.
"Having fun?" Anne asked and I chuckled.
"Yeah, it's better than the lake back in Wartwood." I say and she laughed.
"The snake isn't that bad, but yeah no giant snake to worry about." She laughed and I go back under the water and swim around some more. we had some fun and I would just float on the water and look to the sky as I just kept floating.
"Hey watch it." I hear and I sit up and look to the newt I bumped into.
"Oh sorry." I say.
"Weirdo." They mutter and I shake my head and I swim over to Marcy as she was swimming around and I smirk as I go under water and pop up near her and she quickly grabbed my face and kissed me and when she let go I look to her and she laughed.
"Anne, I broke him." She tells her and I chuckled.
"You go girl." Anne says and she comes over to us and I look to Anne and smile at her and she smiled back and gives me a kiss as well and I stand up a bit and look to both of them. We had finish up swimming for the day and began walking back to the castle and I shake the water from my hair and Anne throws the towel on my head and Marcy laughs at this and I dry my hair as best as I could. We finally get showered and changed before we went to the library.
"Alex, Anne, Marcy we need to talk to you three really quick." I hear and look to see Olivia and Yunan.
"Yeah, what's up?" Marcy says and I look to the two.
"We heard that there might be some issues with some of the frogs, Newts and Toads that don't seem to like the idea of working together." Yunan explained.
"Wait, they're mad that they all have to work together?" Anne asked.
"They just seem to be having some issues with that yes." Olivia says and I finish drying my hair.
"We could explain to them that it's ok for everyone to work together." I mention to them.
"It's a bit hard to try and convince them, we tried to have a meeting without involving you three but no one was listening." Yunan says and I look to them.
"I mean, what else could we do? Force them to work together? Actually." I say.
"Alex no, no extreme training." Marcy says.
"Ok… we should set up a meeting for everyone together, if they don't like it, oh well." I mutter.
"Isn't that a bad thing though? We could ease everyone into it." Anne says.
"Forcing people to do that so fast can cause problems we have to ease them into it." Marcy says and I look to them.
"The only reason people wanted to work together before was because there was a huge war going on." I explained.
"Yeah, but we haven't had a war and we won't start one." Olivia says.
"No just…. Maybe put them in a situation where they have to work together, a training exercise, kind of thing." I explained.
"That sounds good, maybe we can send out letters informing them to visit us at the boarders between the three lands I'll get the letters ready." Olivia says as her and Yunan leave the room and I look to the other two.
"So, we are heading to the library?" Marcy says and we all nod in agreement as I grabbed a bag and notebooks for Marcy and I. We head over to the library and we head to the secret passage to head to what is Marcy's second temple. We were able to gain accesses due to Marcy being with us and I look around as the temple lights up green and I look around and grabbed my notebook and begin working.
"Say do you think we could help the amphibians?" I asked and look to Marcy and Anne who were looking at some texts on the wall.
"I think we can if we have a discussion on why it's important for all sides to work together, economical, and such." Anne says and I look to them more.
"Yeah, but what if they keep the same mindset, it's hard to change people who don't want to change." I explained.
"Is this because of the she-witch?" Anne mutters the word and I chuckle.
"It has a reason for it, but you understand what I'm saying right?" I asked.
"I get it but I think they could change." Anne says and I shrugged and looked back to the words on the wall.
"So, this wasn't built well enough to explain why there had to be a second temple made for us." Marcy mutters.
"Oh, that would be in the Olms cave, it's because I didn't come back in time." Anne says and I look to her.
"So, it was built for a precaution, interesting." Marcy says and I nod at this.
"We could go to the Olms cave and show you what we found." I tell her.
"You basically wrote everything down in your journal." Anne says and I chuckled.
"Yeah, but Marcy hasn't been to the Olm's Cave itself, it would be great to show her the place, and to be honest it did look nice… without the holes in the ceiling." I explained and she nods.
"Oh, that would be amazing, hey maybe we can go to your temple to Alex, we can try and put some of the pieces together to find out what you want to know." Marcy suggests and I chuckle nervously.
"Yeah, sure um… but I'd rather not know anymore probably saying some stuff like 'You'll revert back if you do something bad' bullshit you know." I joke and they look to me and then I go back to my notes.
"I don't think that would happen." Anne says and I look to them.
"I mean let's be honest here, you've made some mistakes and you haven't changed back to who you once were, besides wouldn't you really like to know how this happened?" Marcy says and I think a bit.
"Ok… I uh… haven't been honest with you two." I say to them and we all look at each other and I take a deep breath and I grabbed one of my old journals from my bag and hand it to them. They read it for a bit and I put my hands behind my back as I wait for their response. They would look to me then back to the book then back to me.
"You've been going there for the past five years?" Anne asked and I nod at this.
"Yeah, I just uh… I didn't want you two to worry about what I was doing but to be fair I still did some training out there and it is dangerous so yeah still didn't want my brother coming with me." I explained to them.
"Well, it's…" Marcy tries to say something.
"Look I get it I should have told you two, you can be mad at me but I just wanted to find it out on my own." I explained.
"No, no I'm not mad." Anne says.
"Neither am I… but I just wish you told us, what if something had happened?" Marcy says.
"Grime and the others would have made sure I was ok; I wasn't completely alone." I say and get back to looking at the walls a bit.
"We know but we would have worried still." Anne says as she comes up next to me.
"Yeah… I get it." I tell them.
"Plus, we had gone to Anne's temple a few times." Marcy says and I look to them.
"Yeah, now it just comes up when I'm near, fantastic right?" Anne says.
"Oh, that's actually interesting, how did you find that out?" I asked as we looked back to the texts on the walls.
"We had just been going to one of the new continents that Sprig and Ivy had found, and it was the middle of the night and it just came out the water." Marcy explained to me.
"Probably has to do with the fact that we don't have a moon here anymore, actually I'd like to see how they basically the moon entirely mechanical did they break it apart slowly over time or did they destroy the old moon and make the new moon to just replace it, I mean the tides had to have been effected in some way but-."
"Nerd." Anne says and I look to her.
"You're a nerd too I thought we established this already?" I asked.
"Yeah, yeah." She says and I chuckled as we all got back to work. When we had most of the walls text written down we head back to the castle we head back to the room and Marcy and I sit on the bed as Anne goes to get extra blankets and I look at the notes we made.
"Hey I don't remember this text." Marcy says as she points to my notes.
"Oh, that's just a little footnote." I tell her.
"Footnote for what?" Anne asked as she came over to us.
"Alex wrote down that the temple was made in a rush." Marcy says and I look to the notes and Anne grabbed them and looked to it.
"It's a theory I mean the second temples had to have been rushed, people tend to think that the first time around is the only time things would be needed, like the temples, they thought Anne would be back earlier but instead it took ten years for Anne to come back." I explained.
"Hmm that is true, good theory." Anne says and I nod and I look to Anne and Marcy's notes. We must have stayed up for hours because we were starting to get tired and the sun had started to come back up and I lay back on the bed.
"Ugh, this is boring." Marcy mutters and we laughed.
"Let's get some sleep, I don't know when we have-."
"MEETING TODAY YOU THREE!" A newt yells and I shoot up from the bed and I look around.
"Frog damnit." Anne mutters and I laugh.
"I use to run on a lack of sleep." I say as I get up.
"I am not drinking HopPops weird energy tea drink." Anne mutters and I look to her.
"Don't ask, just know we hallucinated and that's that." She says and I laughed as did Marcy. We got ready for the day and I sighed as I put my boots on and the other two finished up and we walked out the room and too the meeting room.
"Oh, I have sent out the letters, we will be heading to the designated meeting area. We looked around as some toads were arguing with some newts, and frogs arguing with some toads and so on. I rubbed the back of my neck a bit as I looked around. I see Grime and the others come up to us and they also look around the crowd of amphibians arguing.
"What do we do?" Marcy whispers and I clear my throat a bit.
"Alright everyone listen up." Anne says and they look to us then go back to arguing.
"HEY LISTEN UP!" Grime yells.
"I am not listening to some stupid toad." A newt says and I hold Grime back before he could try and punch the newt.
"Hey, don't be rude, none of you are listening." I tell them.
"And we have to listen to a weirdo with a bump on their face?" A frog says.
"Hey." Marcy says.
"Ok stop this right now, you all have to learn to work together." Anne says.
"Says the person that destroyed our moon." A toad says.
"HEY!" I yelled getting angry.
"See, see, the one that works with toads is violent just like them." A newt says.
"You need to stop-."
"And you worked with the core, destroying our homes and land." A frog says and I look to the entire crowd.
"ALRIGHT YOU ALL NEED TO SHUT UP!" I yelled and they do just that and look to us and I look to them more.
"Anne here saved you all by destroying a FAKE moon mind you, made by the core that was made by NEWTS! DEAD NEWTS!" I emphasize on the words and look to them.
"You didn't do anything about it, none of you, hell your kids wouldn't be here if it weren't for Anne and Marcy's quick thinking, so shut the hell up." I tell them and one frog tried to say something.
"Unless the next words out of any of your mouths is going to be sorry to Anne and Marcy then zip it." I tell them and they close their mouths.
"We are here to show and basically tell you to get along, ya'll did when the war was happening the hell happened?" I asked them.
"These toads are violet." A newt says.
"We fight each other for fun." A toad says and I groan as they start arguing again.
"STOP IT!" Marcy yelled and they look to us again.
"Seems like you all need a little training exercise, groups of three, frogs, newts and toads pair up." I say and they all grumble as they group up but stay about arm's length away from each other and I sighed, but it was something to work on.
"Ok first-."
"This is dumb." Someone says and I sighed.
"Ok, do we need to bring up a history lesson? Cause here's one for you, frogs, toads and newts use to work together until the old king Andres's father decided to be a dick and basically separate everyone just because a little frog was right and didn't want the music box to be used for evil and only for good, there history lesson done, you all hate each other because and old dead guy got pissed because he couldn't conquer other worlds and make a negative impact to those worlds, like ours." I tell them and they look to us.
"So, it's the newts fault." A frog says.
"IT'S NO ONE'S FAULT BUT THE IDIOTS THAT WANTED TO DO BAD, YOU ALL WEREN'T EVEN AROUND WHEN THAT HAPPENED!" I yelled.
"Alex, calm down there is no need for yelling." Marcy says as she put a hand on my shoulder and I take a few breaths.
"Stupid weirdo." I hear someone mutter and I take another breath.
"Well, this stupid weirdo is going to make you all learn how to work together and not be huge dicks to each other because you all decided to listen to the views created by a tyrant that wanted to destroy this world and others, are we all in an understanding?" I asked them and they mutter.
"Good, so let's get started." I say to them as I stretch a bit.
"We are going to start by training exercises." I tell them.
"This is dumb." I hear a newt say and I sigh.
"If you all can learn to work together you can see how each of you are able to help each other out." I say to them.
"How is making us work together going to do that?" a frog asked and I look to them.
"Well for instance, Frogs can jump up really high, Newts are smart and can use their tail for good, and yes toads have great strength." I explained and we got to work. We worked for hours and even Yunan, Grime, Olivia, Marcy and Anne along with the Planters joined in. if I had to be honest though everyone seemed to have gotten tired easily besides me and I put my hands on my hips as I look to everyone.
"Come on everyone this is nothing." I say.
"Easy for you, Alex." Grime says and I chuckled a bit.
"Come on old man, you and I use to run ten miles together." I say as he falls on his back and I laughed.
"How is this helping?" A newt asked.
"Well, you're too tired to argue." I mutter and look to them.
"Exercising builds some forms of character, I am not the type to make people try and sing cumbia, plus this is when I tell you all, that for the next week you all will be bunking together." I state and a few groans at this.
"Ah none of that, you all are going to work together, eat together, and sleep together in the same room, whoever you are grouped with you will be with them for the whole week, you will get to know each other, you will talk to each other, you will be what is called battle buddies, you are not to separate, you are to keep each other safe, if one of you gets injured you are to help them." I explained.
"You can't make us-."
"I will and you will understand that fighting with each other is stupid." I tell them.
"This is not-."
"You will listen to each other, you will help each other and later on we will bring in Frogs, Newts and Toads that worked together during the rebellion, you will listen to their stories, you will not argue with anyone, from now on you are a family, treat them as family, everyone is different in their families so you all will learn to listen and work together." I go on look to them.
"Now, Lady Olivia was nice to have tents brought here for all of you and Grime was kind enough to brig cots for all of you to sleep on, anyone that decides to leave can do so but trust me it won't look good, you will prove to us that you aren't willing to work with others, and that you should never ask anyone even your own kind for help, now if I wanted to be a real asshole I could say that you would be banished from your own home town and that you cannot buy anything from either region, but I'm not an asshole… you will also learn to work with Marcy, Anne and I we can't get out of this either, each of us will take our own platoon and we can teach you about the importance of working together." I explained to them. Once I was done everyone followed me to where the tents were and I grabbed some food so we all could help on making the meals, though we did keep HopPop away the moment he wanted to use boomshrooms.
"And what is this supposed to do?" A toad asked.
"Teach you all how to work together and to talk to each other." I state as Anne and I peeled potato's and I smile at her and she smiled back at me and I get back to work.
"How?" A newt asked.
"Well… what do you like to eat?" I asked.
"Flies." They all respond and I nod.
"See you all have that in common and can make a dish that is to all your liking, anyone have any allergies?" I asked.
"I can't eat tomatoes." A toad says.
"Good, now we know not to put tomatoes in your food, you wouldn't want them to get hurt, would you?" I asked the frog and newts.
"No." They both respond and I nod at this. We all keep working on the food and some of the amphibians began talking to each other asking if anyone had any allergies or what they liked in their food. It was going good at least, we all got the food ready and everyone began eating and I was sitting with Marcy and Anne as we ate.
"Well, this is going well." Marcy says and I nod at this as I take a bite of my soup.
"Get them tired and they won't argue, no one wants to argue on an empty stomach." I tell her.
"Fair enough." Anne says and we finished our food and everyone heads to the tent to rest up and I head to our tent and take a seat on my cot and take my boots off and stretch a bit.
"So, we each get a group to work with?" Anne asked and I nod.
"Yeah, trust me it'll be a good thing, make them work together and then we switch them around so each group can get every different situation, so like if Anne wants to teach them to say… work in a farming environment the frogs can help the newts and toads with how to farm." I explained and looked to them as they each took a seat on their own cot.
"Oh ok, I get that, that's actually a great idea." Marcy says and I nod at this.
"I have a few good ideas." I say and we laughed a bit.
"Ok, we can make some plans and show them how each group is different." Anne says and I nod as they each grab a notebook and we start making plans. As the days passed us by, we would switch the groups and Marcy had the idea that everyone should take notes so we can see how well they learned through the week. Basically, wanting to give a huge test near the end of the week which is a good idea.
"Alright, so far we had learned what about frogs?" I asked.
"They are great at farming, and are important to the production of vegetables for everyone in Amphibia, and without them we wouldn't have the types of vegetables that we have now." A toad says.
"Correct, and good answer." Anne says.
"Ok, what have we learned about Newts?" I asked.
"They are mostly book smart and with that they have ideas that could help make lives better even in living situations such as planning out what proper material could be used to make homes better or even economics better for everyone, that's why not many have to pay in taxes unless needed, and they are really good when it comes to medicine." A frog says.
"Good." I say.
"What about Toads?" Marcy asked.
"Toads are great with strength, they could help with the heavy work, and they are great when it comes to survival like when we were in the woods, for Alex's training, the toads knew what to do when we lost track of Alex, or had to find him in one training." A newt says and I nod.
"You all worked together, you all learned that you all have different strengths and weaknesses but now that you have worked together you also learned something new by working together, so say if you didn't know how to track you now know how, if you didn't know how to read, I saw a few newts helping some frogs and toads learn to read and even write." I say and look to everyone.
"Now this is the last day of this meeting-."
"Awww." Some of them say and I think.
"But we could maybe make this a month-long meeting, see back on our home world we have a thing called summer vacation, we also have this thing called summer camp, we can have a frog, newt and toad be camp leaders and share what they have learned to any new comer, how about that?" I suggest.
"I think that's a great idea." Yunan says and I nod as I look to the group.
"Yeah, that would be great." I hear some others talk as well.
"Ok, then we can appoint some team leaders and you will work together on planning when the summer camp starts, what the activities are and maybe we could build some cabins and create a barrier around the area once we know what exactly the activities are, it would be best to inform each other and please talk to Lady Olivia, Grime, and the Planter family on what you think should be the best options for everyone." Anne explained and I nod. We finished up and everyone begins to pack up the tents and talk to each other and I was helping Anne and Marcy take our own tent down.
"We should head back home for a bit, go on a little vacation." Marcy says and I think.
"Sure, I'd actually like to see where Anne use to work." I joke and she shoved me a bit.
"Sure, I'd like to see how things are." Anne says and I grabbed a box and placed it on the back of the cart to be taken back to Toad Tower. When we all finished up some of the groups stayed together to chat a bit and I head over to Grime and the others as they talked too.
"Hey, Anne, Alex and I are going to head back home for a bit." Marcy says to them.
"Oh, you all take your time, also when you get back, I have some plans on how the seating plan can go for the wedding." Olivia says and I nod at this.
"Sounds good." I say and we follow the planters back to their home. Polly got the portal going and we walked through and the portal closes behind us and we see Mr. X and Terry along with Dr. Jan.
"Well, hello you three, back again?" Jan says and we nod.
"Yeah, just for a bit though maybe a few days, a week maybe." Anne says.
"Oh, I have some new notes on the portal, we found out something cool." Terry says and I look to her.
"What did you find out?" I asked.
"We could travel to other worlds, though I don't want to try it but it's so cool." They say getting excited.
"Oh wow, that is cool." Marcy says and they basically nerd out a bit and I look to Anne as she looked to Marcy and smiled and I smirk at her.
"Someone is love struck." I whispered and she looked to me.
"Don't tell me you don't think she's cute nerding out." She says and I chuckled.
"Oh defiantly, it's cute as hell." I say and I talked to Mr. X a bit as Anne called her parents.
"Mom says she will come by to get us." Anne says.
"No way a world of witches?" Marcy says and I look to her.
"I know right, I ran into her a few days ago, her and her wife were at a convention and I asked how she got her ears to look so realistic, and they joked saying she really was a witch and Jan got excited." Terry explained.
"I basically went on a long rant about frogvasion." Jan says and I chuckled at this and put my hands on my hips.
"That is interesting." I say.
"They're still here actually, I could call them up." Terry says and I nod.
"It would be great to meet people in the same situation as we were, sure ask if they could meet up with us tomorrow at the aquarium, we are going to head there tomorrow anyway." Anne says and Terry nods and goes on her phone. Annes mom came by and picked us up and we headed home as Anne and Marcy told her about what we have planned out for the wedding in Amphibia and what we plan on doing at the temple to see if it was ok first.
"Oh, that sounds like a wonderful idea, the aunties will make the food, are the planters going to be coming back as well?" Oum asked.
"Yeah, along with Olivia, Yunan, and Grime." Marcy says.
"Percy and Bradox will be coming too." I tell them.
"Oh, right and Percy and Bradox." Marcy says and we get to the house. When inside Oum goes to the kitchen and I go over to Mr. Boonchuy as he was watching something on TV.
"Hey you three how was Amphibia?" He asked.
"It was good, we basically got some frogs, newts and toads to make a summer camp for the future." Anne says as she gives her dad a hug and I look to the TV a bit then over to Oum and I go over to help her. She let me cut some vegetables as Anne and Marcy talked to Anne's dad.
"How are you?" She asked and I look to her.
"I'm fine… and you?" I asked.
"I am fine as well… is your family coming to the party at the temple?" She asked.
"Oh uh… I think so, I don't know how busy they will be, but I'll invite them… except my uh… other mother." I tell her.
"I never really like her." She says and I chuckled.
"You and me both." I say as we finished up dinner and we got everyone to the table.
"Oh Alex, we got you some new clothes, and you as well Marcy." Mr. Boonchuy says and I nod.
"Thank you." We both say.
"Anytime, so I heard you three are going to the aquarium tomorrow?" He asked and I nod.
"Yeah, I want to see how things are." Anne tells him and they talk some more.
"They seem like a happy family." I hear and my eyes shift around a bit before I realize what's going on.
"Shut up." I think as I eat my food.
"Just saying, what if you can't make Marcy and Anne happy." They say and I groan internally and look to Marcy a bit as she ate her food too.
"What if you mess everything up? What if they want kids? Can you give them that? They probably want a family too you know, kids of their own." I hear and try to ignore it.
"So, are we expecting any grandkids soon?" Anne's mother asked and I cough a bit.
"MOM!" Anne says as she turned red as did Marcy. Mrs. Boonchuy laughed a bit at this and I clear my throat.
"What? I just want to know when I can start spoiling my grandbabies." She says.
"Sweetheart." Mr. Boonchuy says.
"Well, I mean… We have been trying." I joked.
"ALEX!" Both Anne and Marcy shout and I laughed at this.
"See, Alex gets it." Mr. Boonchuy says.
"It's a normal thing." I say and Marcy along with Anne turned even redder and I chuckled a little at this.
"Ok, fine, we have been… trying." Anne mutters and I pat her back gently.
"Trust me, Lady Olivia asked the same thing during the week of training." I tell them.
"Oh frog." Marcy says and placed her head on the table and I chuckled at this. We finished up dinner Anne, Marcy and I cleaned the dishes and then headed to bed early since we were running on little sleep. When morning came by and we had gotten up well rested this time we each took a shower and I was wearing a black polo shirt and some blue jeans, and Anne and Marcy decided to wear some dresses and we head on out and walk to the aquarium since it was so nice out today. When we got their Anne paid for their tickets and she got a message from Terry on where this girl was going to meet us at. We were looking at the sharks a bit before we hear someone come up to us.
"Hola." I hear and turn to see two women; one had long purple hair and the other girl had a scar on her eyebrow.
"Oh hello, you must be Luz and Amity." Anne says and we all shake hands.
"That we are, so you know Terry?" The girl we now know is Luz asked.
"Yep, known her and Dr, Jan for years now." Anne says.
"Ah yes Dr. Jan… very informative woman." Amity says.
"So, you were transported to another world?" I asked.
"I was, yes, it's called the Boiling Isles." Luz says and I nod as we walked around a bit.
"Woah, so you were transported to a world filled with Amphibians?" Luz asked.
"Yeah, my fault really." Marcy says and I place my hand on her shoulder and she smiles at me and I smiled back at her.
"So, I heard about this frogvasion happening." Amity says and we nod.
"Yep, king of Amphibia was a bit crazy and tried to impress his dead dad by conquering worlds like they planned to over a thousand years ago." Anne explained to them.
"Hey wait, weren't you the one in the castle thingy?" Luz asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, that would be me, kind of… got possessed, but it's a bit more complex than that." I tell them.
"Oh, trust me, Belos, the old emperor of the Boiling Isles possessed the Titan, which ironically turned out to be my adoptive brothers dad." Luz says and we keep walking.
"Oh dang, that sounds really bad." I say.
"It was, I ended up dying and then given the powers of Kings dad who was the Titan, so I was basically a Titan for a short time." Luz says.
"Oh, frog you died too? And talked to a god, twins." Anne laughed and so did Marcy and I.
"You died too? Small world." Luz says and I crossed my arms a bit.
"Oh yeah, got to meet god, and basically when I die, I become the new god." Anne says.
"You get to be a god? Dude that is so cool." Luz says and they talked some more.
"She is very energetic." I state.
"That she is, but that's what I love about her." Amity says and I nod as I look to Anne and Marcy as they nerd out.
"Yeah… I love my girls too." I say.
"Ooooh so all three of you hu?" Amity asked and I look to her and I nod.
"Is that bad?" I asked.
"Oh, Titan no, we have polyamorous groups back in my world, we support the LGBTQ Community where I live, my friend Willow has two dads, Luz even officiated some weddings herself, King joked that she's basically the empress." Amity says and I chuckled a bit.
"So, what do you do for work?" I asked.
"I'm an adventurer, I travel around wherever and collect new data for Lilath for the museum she built." Amity says and I nod at this.
"What do you do?" She asked.
"Marcy, Anne and I basically help take care of the three groups, I'm in charge of toads, Marcy is Newts and Anne is with the frogs, before that though I was a commander of the toad army." I tell her.
"Sounds like a tough job for a kid." She says and I nod.
"I uh… use to be controlling as a kid, but I'm getting better, communication is key." I say and she laughed.
"Ain't that right, I use to think I had to be little miss perfect, good grades, be part of the emperor's coven, make my mother happy and basically be sad and alone." She says and I look to her.
"But I have a better relationship with my dad, and my siblings, I help out, I get to do what I love, and I'm happy." Amity tells me and I nod and look to the fishes in the tank.
"Not on good terms with your mom hu?" I asked.
"Oh no, she wanted to help the emperor basically, destroy our home just for money, she didn't even like the fact that I was with Luz because she was a human… but I fell for that nerd, she just… snuck her way into my heart." Amity says and I look to her as she looked to Luz and I looked to my girls.
"So, you two married?" I asked.
"Five years now, we have a daughter too." She says and pulls out a phone and shows me the photos of them and their daughter.
"How old is she?" I asked.
"She's two, her name is Azura." She tells me and I nod as I look to the photos more.
"Do you have any kids?" She asked as she put the phone away.
"Oh no… no we aren't even married yet, I uh... I have a small fear of weddings." I joke and she looked to me as I chuckled a bit then looked to the fish tank again.
"Why are you afraid of them?" She asked and I shrugged.
"I'm more scared at the fact that Anne and Marcy would leave me… my parents got divorced and it had some effects on me… my mom is… let's just say my step mom is more of a mother to me than my biological mother." I tell her.
"Does your real mom not like that you are with two other women?" She asked.
"That and she doesn't like Anne or Marcy… my mom is just…. Messed up." I say and I take a breath.
"Well, at least you have another mom that supports you, and the rest of your family, and I hope Anne and Marcy's parents love you too." She says and I nod.
"They do… they worry about all of us." I say to the witch.
"Batata let's go look around some more." Luz says.
"Sweet potato?" I asked and Amity turns red.
"I was trying to learn Spanish for Luz." She says and we go over to them and walk around some more.
"So, wait, you two were possessed by a bunch of dead newts with a helmet?" Luz asked as we talked some more.
"Yep, pretty much, Marcy had to deal with it for ten years." I say.
"But when we saw you, you weren't wearing a helmet." Luz says and I nod.
"They uh… developed a way to just… stay in my head… actually sometimes they uh… still talk to me, when it gets really bad my bad eye turns red." I say and lift up my patch.
"Dear Titan, it is red." Luz says and I nod as I cover up the eye as we took a seat to have some lunch.
"Does it go away?" Amity asked.
"Sometimes, it's… I can't really explain it, it's still new to me." I tell them.
"I just hear the voices too, but my eyes don't do that." Marcy says and I nod at this.
"It was really scary, I freaked out when I saw my eyes like that." I say and shake my head a bit. we ate our food and before we parted ways Luz gave Anne her number and we put it in our portable hand helds.
"Oh, that looks cool." Amity says and I let her hold mine.
"Polly made them, she's super smart, we can see if we can communicate with each other, We are able to from her to Amphibia but it would be great to see if it works in your world." Marcy says to Amity.
"If it does, do you think Polly can lend me her notes?" Amity asked.
"Sure, as long as you give her credit, plus if we could get to your world Polly would enjoy that." Anne says.
"Sure, if you visit Connecticut, we own the shack to get to the Boiling Isles, come by anytime." Luz says and we all part ways. Anne, Marcy and I kept looking around and Anne talked to a few of her old co-workers as Marcy and I stood next to her.
"So, this must be Marcy and Alex." A coworker asked Anne.
"Yep, my best friends and future husband and wife." Anne says and I smirk at her.
"Oooh been talking about us hu?" I asked.
"Why not?" She asked and I shrugged.
"Wow you weren't kidding, he is handsome." Another coworker says.
"Yep, and he's our man, no stealing." Anne jokes and we all laughed at this. When we finished looking around the aquarium we headed back to Anne's parents' house and I messaged my dad informing him I was home and I should be able to visit him tomorrow. Marcy and Anne headed to Anne's room and I followed them we got changed for bed and I laid in the middle as Anne and Marcy were on either side of me and I place my hands clasped on top of my stomach as I looked to the ceiling for a bit.
"You good there Alex?" I hear Anne whisper and I nod.
"Yeah, I'm fine… what about you two?" I asked them.
"I'm fine, it was fun knowing someone else was basically in the same situation as us… it's good to talk about it to other people without sounding like a crazy person." Marcy says.
"Same, it's good to just talk about it." Anne says and I nod at this.
"We should go visit; Luz is very fun to talk to." Marcy says.
"Did you know they have a kid? That's so cool that they can use magic to have kids as a same sex couple." Anne says and I nod.
"Yeah, Amity showed me photos of their daughter… we should visit them, it would be great to go to another world, heck they can come to Amphibia sometimes too." I say.
"Yeah, that would be awesome." Marcy says and Anne and I chuckled at this. We stayed quiet a bit before there was some shifting and Marcy gets on top of me and I look up to her as I grabbed her waist and I know Anne was looking up to her as well.
"Well, you did tell Anne's parents that we were trying to give her, her own grandkids." She says and I smirked a bit and leaned up to kiss her and she kissed me back.
"If we are quiet." Anne whispers and I chuckled at this as I pulled away from Marcy.
"I mean… that does seem like a fun idea." I say and Anne kisses me then kisses Marcy after we pulled apart. This was going to be fun.
