I started writing this right after I uploaded Chapter 11. It is Time for Mizore's debut chapter. Instead of explaining in ANs what my plans are, I instead decide for them to show themselves in my writing unless it needs to be clarified. Also, keep your breath; pairings are not final in the story. I want to throw as many trials and tribulations to test every character's relationship and see if they grow more robust in the fire's forge or if it will break.

ONE MORE THING Jackie!

I wrote Dashi instead of Deshi; her name is Deshiko Deshi. That is on me; Deshiko Deshi is the leader of the Public Safety Commission. This is why I need an editor. I will slow down writing chapters because I want to finish outlining the original story and how that will affect the Rosario + Vampire (Part 1 and 2) story.

Chapter 12

Ice Ice Math

It was a few days after the fight with Chopper, Danny, and Moka had grown much closer as the two were seen walking to almost every class together, even going out of their way to walk each other to classes on the opposite side of the building, heck they were even seen holding hands at one point which caused a few of the students to call the perverts. Rumors were spreading like a fire that the two were officially a couple, and it didn't help that the two didn't outright deny it but avoided the subject whenever it was brought up. The two lovebirds were still too embarrassed about going public.

"Danny, please, I..." Moka began to blush hard as she brushed the pink locks out of her hair, her emerald green eyes locked to Danny's sky blue eyes, a large blush appearing on her face as she felt her boyfriend run his thumbs over her knuckles. The wind gently blew past their face as the smell of the crisp Summer morning danced before their noses, the grass tumbling in the wind as the two stood in the graveyard they always passed on their way to school in the morning. Moka tried to continue, but her blush was getting more intense; this was the first time she would ask Danny to let her drink his blood since the fight with Kuyou and since they became a couple.

"Moka," Danny replied as he looked into his girlfriend's eyes, blushing hard as he felt her soft, smooth skin with his thumb, remembering every bump of her knuckles. "Is everything okay? You can ask me anything." Danny replied with a concerned tone, his eyes softening when he saw the look on Moka's face.

"...Can I suck your blood?" Moka asked, blushing hard as she felt her voice go quiet. Gah! She wanted to shrink into a mini version of herself and run away to hide. Why was she so embarrassed and shy about this? She used to do it daily with Danny, but now, it was different. Now, things have changed between them. They were dating, and dating in vampire culture is pretty serious stuff. Heck, sucking the blood out of someone you like is considered the next step amongst her people. It didn't matter that Moka liked him before or loved him; it mattered now that they were together.

"Sure," Danny said with a smile as he looked at his girlfriend. "You can suck my blood Moka," Danny then used his free hand to loosen the collar around his green uniform while slightly undoing his red tie, so it wasn't strangling his throat. "Drink as much as you want; just leave me with enough blood that I can still protect you."

Moka blushed hard as she leaned against Danny, noticing that her once five foot three boyfriend was now five inches taller since the start of the school year, probably the result of one final growth spurt before his body was done physically growing in height. "You big dummy, let me protect you from now on," Moka said as she gently sunk her teeth into Danny's neck, the red-hot elixir of life rushing to seal the wound she made as the vampiress began to suck and lick a little bit at his neck. "I forgot how good your blood tastes. I'm so happy I met you." Moka said, tears rolling down her cheek as she felt her body overwhelmed with joy. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close as she pulled her mouth away from Danny's neck after running her tongue over the puncture marks she made to clean off any blood and disinfect the wound with her vampiric saliva, one of the medicinal benefits of being a vampire is the ability to disinfect wounds to prevent infection from biting people.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaah! MOKAA! You must have sucked on Danny's blood again!" Kurumu shouted as she laid her eyes upon Danny's shriveled body. Kurumu was wearing her usual school attire, but she changed out of the standard red bow she usually wears for a seafoam green bowtie that she was given by William this morning outside the Dorms. Turning to her kelpie friend, she gave him a sorry look before running off from his side. Ever since William and Kurumu had that intimate moment, they've been seen walking to school together in the morning, causing rumors to fly around as well.

'Seriously? What does she see in him?'' William thought with jealousy as he crossed his arms, sighing as he hefted Kurumu's bag over his shoulder. 'Here I am carrying her bag, spending all my free time with her, letting her feed off my life energy after Kurumu went on that rant about how she wished she had someone to feed off as Moka does, and she still runs to Danny the moment he looks like a dried out mummy.' Willaim thought to himself as he narrowed his eyes at the Ghost Boy. For some weird reason, he was starting to despise his best friend, which caused him to worry a bit. "Danny," William said in a neutral tone as he walked past him. "Oi, Kurumu. I'm putting your bag in your homeroom; please don't take too long. It's a pain getting from Reriko-Sensei's room to Nekonome-Sensei's room." Willaim said as he walked past the School Gates, the morning mist enveloping him ominously.

"Oh? And you don't like waiting for your precious Kurumu!?" Kurumu called back as she turned her attention to the direction William walked off. Once she was done getting her jab in, she snapped her head back to look at Moka, glaring hard at her as she made her way from Danny to her friend. "Even if you're a vampire, you shouldn't drink early in the morning! I will kill you if Danny dies from a lack of blood!" Kurumu said, fire roaring in her eyes as she brought her right knuckle down on Moka, rapping her head.

"Sorry, sorry! It's been so long, and I was so thirsty, I didn't realize how much I was drinking! My bad." Moka cried in pain as she held her hands up, wincing from the raps.

"Kurumu, it's alright. I'm fine." Danny said as his body returned to normal in a comedic manner, though his skin was a little pale from the lack of blood. "It's no issue; I don't mind that Moka drinks my blood." Danny smiled, rubbing his neck as a slight blush appeared on his face as he looked at his girlfriend.

"Oi, you three love birds are done fighting?" A voice called out as a tall teen wearing a black shirt, a silver wolf pendent, and white slacks walked out of this mist carrying a box. Next to him was a tall girl with short, wavey red hair, a black eyepatch, and a brown scarf around her neck; instead of her everyday black and brown school attire, she was wearing a black shirt with a golden shamrock pattern crossing her chest with the words "Kiss me, I'm Irish." under it, and black jeans with the same gold shamrock pattern running up one leg. "If so, we have newspapers to hand out. We've fallen behind schedule while waiting for Danny to recover, so I asked Shannon to help us catch up. Say hello to the front cover story." Gin smirked as he slid an arm into the box, fishing around for a loose paper. "Tada, my cute little Kohais! Feast your eyes on our Newspaper Club's Magnus Opus!"

"Corruption Crushed! Yokai Academy's Residental Ghost and Vampire clean out PSC! - By Shannon O'Harrison." The trio read out as their eyes widened at the revelation. "Wah! Shannon, you're part of the Newspaper Club?" Moka called out as she pointed at the banshee, only for her to nod while holding up her thumb and giving a toothy grin. "That's amazing! We're going to have so much fun together! Just think about it, the two of us going around the school solving mysteries together!" Moka continued, her face lighting up as she ran over to hug the Irish foreign exchange student.

"Welcome to the team, Shannon! I can't believe that we're in the same club together now! Hey Gin, hand me the box, and I'll set up our usual spot." Danny said as he walked over to Gin, taking the box of newspapers phasing through the ground. He was so happy his powers were slowly returning; remastering them all over again was a pain. At least yesterday was Sunday, and Danny got all day and night to practice going intangible. Mizore was a brutal taskmaster, putting Danny through the wringer as she unleashed attack after attack at him.

'Fight like everything is on the line. You cannot hope to protect anyone if you're unwilling to use your life energy to power your attacks.' Mizore words echoed through his head as he recalled the lunch break he had with her. "I should thank Mizore Shirayuki for helping me out, even though she has no reason to do so. I really appreciate it." Danny said as he rose from the earth, hovering a few centimeters above the ground before turning tangible again.

"You're welcome." A soft, cold voice said from behind Danny. Mizore wasn't looking for Danny this morning; her gut told her that the ghost boy would be fine for the next few days, although the same can't be said for Mizore. After she spent all day yesterday training with Danny to get him to be able to turn intangible, Mizore had the unfortunate accident of running into Yokai Academy's residential Gym Teacher.

'I will make your life miserable for rejecting me.' The words echoed through Mizore's head as she slowly zoned out, wondering what she would do. She couldn't just freeze the man; he was a teacher, and it was against school rules to attack your teachers unless you had proof and evidence of wrongdoing like Danny and Moka did when they fought Ishigami-Sensei.

"Woah! Mizore! I didn't see you there!" Danny shouted as he almost dropped the box of newspapers. "It seems like we're running increasingly into each other after the fight with Chopper," Danny said as he caught the box in his hands, thankful the Box Ghost wasn't around to make fun of him. "Hey, you want to help me?" Danny asked as he turned around to face her.

Danny got a good look at her now that they were a reasonable distance apart and not fighting or hiding from each other (as with Mizore). She had long purple hair that looked like powdered snow and blue eyes that were tinted purple at the top of her irises. Her skin was white as the snow that fell outside Danny's Window at Amity Park. Mizore was one of the few students around campus who only wore the school's yellow plaid pattern skirts, as she had forgone the green jacket in favor of a white hoodie with indigo sleeves that covered her hands, a black binder that sat under the hoodie, purple and white striped stockings, white shoes, and for some odd reason she was wearing a raspberry beret. "Hey, that beret is really cute on you. It looks good." Danny stated as he walked off to where he hid the folding table the Newspaper club uses. After the debacle with Kuyou, Danny borrowed a folding table from the PSC to replace the one Kuyou broke and hit it.

"Sure," Mizore replied when she heard Danny's request; though she wasn't sure what it was, it couldn't be too much trouble. When she heard that Danny thought the beret she randomly threw on this morning to try and hide from her adversary, she blushed hard, slowly reaching up to touch it gently. "What do you need me to do?"

"Can you set up the table for me?" Danny asked as he pointed his head to the folding table hidden behind a wooden board. "I'll make sure to give you a copy of today's newspaper for free and as a thank you for helping me with my powers. You have no idea how much this means to me what you and Moka are both doing." Danny said, his smile softening as he looked at Mizore with admiration. 'She's so helpful and friendly and doesn't ask for anything in return. I hope we get to be friends before the semester ends, and I hope we will be friends again next semester.' Danny thought to himself.

"It's nothing, and I already said I will protect you until your powers return," Mizore said, her hand turning into an ice claw as a pillar rose from behind the plank, carrying the folding table with it. The post then morphed into a slide, letting the folding table slide down to her feet. "Where do you want me to put it?" She asked as she turned to Danny.

"Let's put it by the front doors. You know, Mizore, I didn't think anyone but my friends, myself, and some other students would get up so early in the morning. We still have a lot of time before class starts." Danny said as he directed Mizore to set up the table by the stairs leading up to the School building.

"Yuki-Ona don't need to sleep much," Mizore said as she unfolded the table, pulling the legs out and locking them in place, flipping the table over so it was standing on its legs. "I'm done," Mizore said as she turned to Danny. "Have a good day, Danny," Mizore spoke, twirling the lollipop in her mouth as she walked up the stairs.

"Extra! Extra!" Danny shouted as he stood beside Yukari, carrying a newspaper in one hand while wearing a sack bag around his waist where newspapers hung out. "Public Safety Committee's Kuyou has been expelled! Read all about the new leader, Dashi, in our exclusive interview conducted by the Newspaper Club's newest start journalist, Shannon O'Harrison, the Lois Lane of Yokai Academy!" Danny called, bringing his right hand to his lips, trying to get his voice to bounce off his hand and be loud.

"Wow, the Newspaper Club is responsible for ending Kuyou's reign? And Dashi's the new leader? She was always the kindest amongst them, and already she issued a statement that the PSC will no longer terrorize and extort the students!" A girl with black hair in a ponytail said as she stood next to her friend, reading from the newspaper Shannon gave her. "Wait a minute..." her friend said as she read the name of the Headline's author. "Shannon O'Harrison? Isn't she the lead singer of The Mon-STARS? I heard she lost an eye and has to wear an eyepatch now... H-Hey, Mitsuki, l-look up." Mitsuki's friend said as she shook the girl with a ponytail by the shoulders.

"Gah, Hina! I can't read the paper!" Mitsuki cried as she looked up from the paper, eyes wide as she saw who her friend wanted her to see. "Holy crap, YOU'RE O'Harrison-San!" Mitsuki cried as her eyes widened.

Shannon blushed hard as she looked to the side. Being recognized was weird, and it felt weirder that people would talk so much about her eyepatch. It made her self-conscious; she often spent hours staring at her reflection. "Now, ladies, can't you see we're embarrassing Shannon-Chan," Gin said as he slid between the trio, his eyes closed and a smile plastered. "You can get my cute underlings' autograph after school, drop by the Newspaper club who knows you might be the next issue's fashion model." Gin charmed as he led the two girls away from the banshee. He turned his head back to stare at Shannon, a smile on his face. Shannon sighed as she smiled back at Gin, grateful for running interference. 'Why is he spending so much time with me?' Shannon thought to herself as she found herself staring at Gin's back.

"Yukari-san! Your horoscope was dead on, last time! Red really is my lucky color! Thank you!" A voice called out as a crowd began forming around the young witch. Unlike the usual group of perverts, this crowd was full of students, all coming to thank Yukari for her horoscopes and study tips.

"I'm sorry I was such a jerk to you! I was under so much pressure from my parents that I used you to express my frustrations with my bad grade." A girl with pigtailed blond hair said as she knelt to the young witch, grabbing her hands as tears ran down. "Please forgive me!" She said

"Please forgive us!" The crowd called out in unison. "If you need anything, do not hesitate to ask us!"

As a crowd gathered by the school's stairs, a group was beginning to form outside the gates made primarily up of male students. "Woah! Who is that?" One voice cried out.

"You don't know who she is? What planet have you been living on? She's Ririko-Sensei, she teaches freshmen math." Another voice called out as the crowd parted just enough to let a beautiful late twenty-something woman with dark brown hair and an auburn tint walk by. She was wearing a pair of circular glasses over her brown eyes, red lipstick, a white dress shirt that was unbuttoned at the top to let her cleavage be shown, and her dark leather bra; she was wearing an all too short dark leather dress that exposed her pink panties when the wind blew by, black see-through stalkings, a garter belt, and black high heels.

"Her perfume smells awesome. Sexxxy!" One of the boys said, his face blushing hard as he sniffed the air for the scent of Ririko-Sensei's perfume."

"They say she's more serious about education than she looks..." Another boy said as he held up a finger.

"No way." A third boy replied cocking his head to the side, frowning.

"I want her to teach me some things!" A fourth student called out, hearts in their eyes.

"Ya-HOOO!" Kurumu shouted as she jumped for joy after selling the last newspaper. "Mission accomplished!" She spoke in perfect English, bringing her left hand up to her face, extending only her index and middle finger out and spreading them so they would sit above and below her eye while sticking out her tongue.

"Holy crap, we sold out faster than normal," Danny said as he picked up the box he took from Gin, flipping it upside down and shaking it to see if anything stuck. Nope.

"That's because of you, Danny!" Kurumu said, wrapping her arms around Danny.

"Personal Boundaries!" Moka cried as she grabbed Kurumu's cream sweater vest, pulling her off Danny.

"Our hard work sure has paid off!" Yukari sang, twirling around in her spot from the joy of their hard work selling like hotcakes.

While Moka was pulling Kurumu off Danny, she turned her head to the side when a thought entered her mind. "Hey, how about we go and celebrate? Let's have a party to celebrate a great upcoming Summer Vacation and for returning order to Yokai Academy." She proposed, holding up a few fingers as she listed why they should have a party.

Tap, tap, scratch, scribble, thunk.

The sound of a stylus hitting an electric tablet got the trio's attention. They turned toward the noise to see Shannon writing on her tablet, putting the stylus down when she was finished. She turned her gizmo around so her friends could read what she said. 'A Party? Am I invited?' She asked, blushing hard as she looked to the side, trying to ignore the three knuckleheads.

"Of course you are!" Moka responded with a bright smile as she looked at Shannon. "You're our friend and a member of the Newspaper Club; you helped defeat Kuyou, same with Ren and William!"

"Wow, great idea Moka." Danny smiled after thinking about it for a while. Back home in the States, there was a party every other week; since coming to Yokai Academy, Danny hadn't partied in what felt like months.

"I want to go too!" Yukari called out as she turned to Moka, a longing look on her face.

"A Party, eh? We can hold it right after school!" Kurumu suggested as she looked at Moka, Danny, Shannon, and Yukari.

"What about Gin-Senpai?" Moka asked as she turned to her friends, smiling softly at the suggestion. Only to be immediately shut down by Kurumu crossing her arms in a big X letting out a raspberry.

"That womanizing pervert? He's probably off flirting with those two girls that were fawning over Shannon. We don't need him," Kurumu said, not adding any honorifics after Shannon had pulled her to the side earlier and explained that she feels extremely uncomfortable when people use honorifics or call her by her last name only. Granted, it was all written on Shannon's tablet, but Kurumu has to respect William's cousin; they're friends, after all, and any friend of William is a friend of Kurumu, except that Centaur jerk.

"He's the enemy of all women! I don't know why aneki puts up with him. She made me swear not to pull any pranks on him." Yukari said, throwing a thumbs down only to get her head rapped by Shannon slightly, who also shot Kurumu a look with her good eye. "OW! I still stand by what I said, aneki!" Yukari said, causing Shannon to snort a bit, madly grinning while closing her visible eye; her shoulders began to shudder as her grin turned into an open wide smile as what could only be interpreted as the banshee laughing.

Kurumu glared back at Shannon, pursing her lip into a frown while crossing her arms and leaning back, giving her a look that William taught her to provide Shannon with if Kurumu was ever on the receiving end of one of Shannon's infamous glares. It didn't last long. The moment Shannon snorted, Kurumu broke character and giggled while trying as hard as possible not to giggle before blowing into a full-blown laugh with Shannon.

Moka stared worriedly at her friends when Shannon knocked her knuckles against Yukari's head while glaring at Kurumu. She turned her head to Danny as if to ask him to defuse the situation, only to sigh in relief when she heard Shannon snorting and Kurumu laughing. 'I'm relieved... There has been a lot going on recently, and I was worried. Looks like everyone is fine, even Danny. Let's have fun before Summer Vacation, okay? Danny...' Moka thought as she looked lovingly at her boyfriend, twirling the Rosario hanging off her leather collar.

"Hm? What's up, Moka?" Danny asked as he noticed Moka was staring at him for a while. His kind blue eyes stared lovingly at the vampiress, causing her to blush softly. When Moka shook her head while giggling, Danny took that as a message that nothing was up; she just wanted to stare at him. As Shannon, Yukari, and Kurumu continued laughing, Danny and Moka continued to stare at each other, smiling softly before they both giggled when they realized they were blushing and staring for a bit. The entire party was lost in their world, unaware of the approaching footsteps FROM the top of the school stairs to the bottom.

"...Hmmm, you guys are weird. The Newspaper Club gets along together well." A voice called out softly, catching everyone's attention. "You guys get along too well; I don't understand that kind of stuff."

"Hm?' Danny said as he turned his head, widely smiling as he saw who it was. "Hey Mizore! Did you return for that free copy I promised you for helping out?" Danny asked, reaching into his school jacket and fishing out a folded-up copy he was saving for her. "Sorry it's a bit folded, but that shouldn't be an issue - woah, you're uh a bit close." Danny stumbled back, softly blushing as Mizore walked over to him, getting a bit too close as she looked at his face.

Mizore stared at Danny for a while, mentally picturing all the forms that Danny seemed to have taken during his time as a hero. "I never said this before, but you know... your classic jumpsuit was pretty cute, but your new costume is very stylish... if you grew a short beard, you could go from being cute to drop-dead hot." She finally spoke, taking the lollipop out of her mouth and licking it gently while smiling at him. "Consider this a thank you for saying my beret makes me look cute." Mizore finished as she put her lollipop back in her mouth, taking the newspaper Danny gave her. "Thank you for the copy; I look forward to your space columns. You're pretty cute when you nerd out about space and how hopeful you are for humans and monsters to work together to explore space." Mizore said as she turned around and walked back up the steps.

"Who was that?" Yukari asked as she watched the entire conversation boil down, frowning at how close Mizore got to Danny, calling him cute and hot; that should be Moka-nee saying those things! If there was anyone who was supposed to be hitting on her big brother Danny, it was Moka! They were perfect together in Yukari's head. "And why did she say you called her cute?" Yukari shouted, getting the attention of Kurumu, Moka, and Shannon, who all glared at him for varying reasons.

"Now, now. I just said her beret was cute, like how a kitten is cute or a puppy. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was hitting on her." Danny tried to defuse the situation. "And that is Mizore Shirayuki. She's helping me and Moka train to get my powers back. Since the Kuyou incident, my powers have been on the fritz. For some reason, my ghost and vampire powers I temporarily get from Moka's blood are connected."

Moka sighed as she believed her boyfriend; he was right; Mizore did look like a cute cat. "Danny's telling the truth. He needs some of my blood to "go ghost" from now on, and Mizore has been helping us, well mostly Ura, to train Danny to get used to his powers before Summer break starts." Moka vouched.

"Why?" Kurumu asked, narrowing her eyes as she put her hands on her hips and frowning. "Is there a reason he has to train that hard with Ura and this Mizore?"

"It's because my home is constantly threatened by ghosts, Kurumu. I had a long conversation with Moka and will need her help fighting against ghosts in Amity Park. When our club finishes its Summer Break trip, we're all returning to spend time with our families before school starts again. Moka's just going to be coming back with me." Danny said as he braced for Kurumu's wrath.

"I'm also going because I want to attend college in America to study journalism. Danny said there were some colleges around that we could check out." Moka interjected quickly, defusing the situation somewhat. "Fighting ghosts and helping Danny is just a secondary thing compared to pursuing higher education... Anyways, let's have a blowout party today after school!"

"Good morning everyone. Midterms are right around the corner! That means Summer break is almost upon us! Normally, Yokai Academy holds this type of stuff off for the second semester, but I thought, what the heck, you're all coming back next semester anyway, and you have all been pretty good at showing up every day. On today's agenda, we will be selecting a class manager!" Nekonome said as she walked into class, not trying to hide her ears or tail.

"Sensei, your tail is out," Willaim called out absent-mindedly, only to get his face clawed by his homeroom teacher. "Gyaaaa!" William cried as he fell to the floor, losing control of his human form for a bit, letting his hair turn into a horse's main as his feet turned to hoofs; as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared.

"This is normally something we do during the second semester because things like the school fair happen in the fall. Here is how the rules work out." Nekonome said as she quickly scribbled the rules on the board, pulling out her little pointer stick. "Class manager: 1 person, Vice Manager: 1 person, Secretary: 2 people. Does anyone have any candidate suggestions?"

The class was dead quiet; no one wanted to recommend anyone to take this position, especially if it meant giving someone extra work before summer . . . ! Suddenly, a lightbulb appeared over the heads of all the guys as they turned their evil gaze to two people. Danny Fenton and William McDougal. "If we give them extra work..." One student mumbled.

"Then they won't have much time to spend hanging out with the beauties of Yokai Academy..." another student mumbled, a dark aura spreading through the classroom.

"And maybe even get them to break up. We've all seen Moka-hime kissing Fenton-teme since the start of the school year, but when did Kurumu-hime start kissing McDougal-teme?" A third student murmured loud enough for Ren Avram to hear. All the male students' eyes were glowing a dangerous shade of red as they released their yokai pressure.

Ren quickly turned to William as he saw his friend climb back into his seat. "When the hell did you start smacking lips with Kurumu?" Ren whispered in English so that no one would eavesdrop, eyes wide with shock.

"I offered to let Kurumu feed off my life force because she wouldn't stop ranting about Moka and Danny," William responded, sighing hard as he hung his head, not denying that he was making out with Kurumu behind closed doors with that cover story he gave.

Danny didn't feel any of the yokai energy being released from the male students as he turned his head to stare out the wind. 'Meh, this class president stuff doesn't interest me much. They're likely to elect Moka and some other students. Wow, it hit me: I'm dating the popular girl at school. What would my 14-year-old self say if I told him, "Hey, you're going to end up dating the popular girl at school; it won't be Paulina!" I would accuse myself of being a ghost trying to trick me. Danny thought to himself, brightly smiling as he watched the birds build a nest by the window. 'Wait, what will I tell Sam and Tucker? Wait, how will Sam act? I haven't thought about Sam much, will she be okay? Will things be awkward? I mean, we were crushing hard on each other before I left.' Danny thought to himself, lost in thought.

"Hey, teacher." A voice called out as a hand shot up, catching everyone's attention. "I think Danny-kun would make a good manager." The voice continued, grabbing Danny's attention as he turned to see who was offering him up as tribute.

"Holy crap! We're in the same class!?" Danny shouted as he saw it was Mizore; when did she start calling him Danny-kun? It felt weird when people used honorifics to address him.

'Hey, it's Shirayuki-san. She only showed up a little during the late, early, or middle of the semester.' Nekonome thought to herself as she looked at Mizore, then at Danny. "So, would you like to do it for us, Fenton-" Only to be cut off immediately by Danny, who was crossing his arms in an X, making a buzzer noise.

"Nope. Nuh-uh. I want to enjoy my summer." Danny said as he shook his head back and forth, standing at his desk.

Clap.

Clap. Clap.

Clap. Clap. Clap

Clap-Clap-Clap-Clap-Clap-Clap

"WHAT!?" Danny shouted as he stared at everyone clapping at him. "Noooooo way," Danny said as he shook his head. "I'm not doing it; vote for someone else, like Moka!"

You'll make a great class manager, Danny! You look so cool right now." Moka said happily from her seat in the back of the classroom. Unaware that her words caused most male and female students to clap even harder, a bit aggressively in Danny's opinion.

It was just after Homeroom, and Danny found himself sitting in Ririko-sensei's math class, his eyes spinning as he felt lost in the latest lecture. Usually, Danny was pretty solid with math; most of the school lessons he was learning were the same ones taught at Casper High, but this math was some AP stuff. It didn't help that he could barely focus because his girlfriend threw him under the goddamn bus when Mizore suggested he be the class manager. How is he supposed to enjoy his limited summer vacation performing club activities and fighting ghosts, and now he will have to plan for some school fair that's months off?

William wasn't doing any better either, as he struggled to keep up. Spending so many hours studying medicine, helping Kurumu learn English, performing club duties for the equestrian club, and being forced through Vlad's grueling training and experiments with Danny's blood to figure out what the hell is going on with the Halfa has left him mentally exhausted,

"All right, and then we get this," Ririko said as she wrote down complex mathematical formulas on the chalkboard behind her. "If you take alpha times beta from this solution..." Ririko continued as she tapped at the symbols on the board. "The coefficient of X squared is this based on equation A." She said as she wrote down the next part of the problem. "If we take this to the next step... we can see that this is an easy way to remember a convenient solution as well as a good way to understand the relation of coefficients." Ririko finished as she turned to face everyone looking up from her teacher's textbook.

Yokai Academy, even though it is a school built for monsters dedicated to monsters, the main focus of its educational policy strives for coexistence with humans, and there are required subjects for students to attain that goal. At this academy, which is modeled after human schools, the education level is by no means lower than any human school; it is HIGHER.

'I'm totally lost!' Danny and William mentally screamed as they tried to understand the problem Ririko had written on the board. 'When did this class leave me in the dust!? I don't understand one bit of this anymore!?' The two thought in unison, sweat rolling down their cheeks as they begged their deities that Ririko would not call upon either one.

"All right, let's solve this problem using this model; go ahead, McDougal-kun," Ririko said as she pointed her chalk to the blue-haired kelpie.

"I-I can't," William said as he hung his head. "I'm too mentally exhausted from studying all night," William admitted, dreading the laughter from his classmates.

Haaahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa! The classroom erupted in laughter.

"My, my, you weren't paying attention to Sensei, were you? You shouldn't be daydreaming in class." Ririko said as she frowned, tilting her head disapprovingly. "After all, the semester test is coming up soon! We're wrapping up the first semester, so study hard, everyone." Ririko said, her eyes catching the distressed signals that William was sending off, but so was Danny.

William groaned as he gripped his head. "I'm going to end up in summer school." He cried as he fell backward on the stairs, staring up at the ceiling, only for a pair of ocean-blue eyes covering his face. "I'm so tired that I haven't been able to study math much with everything happening."

"Then take a break and focus on yourself. I'll have Yukari tutor me." Kurumu said as she stared into William's eyes, her hair falling past her face. "I'll be fine, William. You've done a lot of the hard work already." Kurumu continued, gently blowing on his forehead, blowing some of William's seafoam-green hair out of his eyes.

"That's the first time you said you'll get Yukari to tutor you instead of suggesting we both fail our exams," William responded, sighing as he acknowledged Kurumu's maturity.

"You're the one who told me it's a matter of YOUR pride, and... you've been letting me consume your life energy." Kurumu softly spoke, blushing hard as she poked Willaim's forehead, her finger lingering slightly longer than it should have been. "You know... There isn't anyone around, and I am kinda hungry." Kurumu cooed sultry, a blush appearing as she smirked when she saw the same blush spreading across William's. Kurumu scooted down a few steps so that she could be a bit closer to William. She could feel his hot breath rolling up to tickle her face. "Heh, I just noticed... You got better breath and lips between you and Danny." Kurumu said, cupping her hands around William's face as she closed her eyes, pressing her lips against William's.

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" A voice called out, scaring Kurumu and William as the two broke their kiss, causing Kurumu to huff in protest that her meal was interrupted so fast. "What were you two just doing!? Public Display of Affection is banned on school grounds!"

Kurumu glared hard at the voice, her eyes narrowing as she saw it was her homeroom teacher, Kagome Ririko. "Oh boo. We weren't doing anything, Ririko-Sensei." Kurumu responded as she frowned. "We were having a forehead-pushing contest."

Ririko ignored Kurumu as she walked forward to the couple. Her arms crossed as she laid her eyes on William. "William McDougal!" Ririko shouted, scaring William as he shot up. "You silly boy. Don't you realize that this isn't the time to be making out with girls, especially those who are your intellectual inferiors?" Ririko's silver tongue pierced Kurumu's confidence as the Succubus grew quiet. "You've been falling behind in your class lately. You're behind on three weeks worth of work. It's caught the eye of your Sensei, you know!" Ririko exclaimed in a worried manner.

William's eyes widened when he realized he was behind by at most a month. His family would murder him and feed his body to the river monsters.

"Now I understand," Ririko said, looking at Kurumu. "Kurono-san! You're the cause of it! After seeing that sight, Sensei knows what's going on!" Ririko said, pointing her finger at Kurumu. "Kurono Kurumu-san, is it not your fault that McDougal-kun hasn't been able to concentrate on his studies!?"

"You got the wrong idea, Ririko-Sensei. Kurumu and I do nothing but study together. Sometimes, I don't return to my dorm room for days because we study before exams." William tried to defend Kurumu, only for Ririko to cut him.

"Oh, you admit you spend all your time together in her dorm room. Even if you tried to study with your girlfriend, you would only be tempted, and then you would mess around with her just like you were a moment ago, am I right?" Ririko said, implying that Kurumu and William spent all their time making out and fooling around. "Your girlfriend can't help you in this matter."

"It's complicated!" Both Kurumu and Willaim shouted, a massive blush appearing on their face. They were at least glad they could agree that their status was "Complicated."

"If it's study you want. Then Sensei will give it to you." Ririko said, inching closer to William as she touched his cheek. "Come to my office after school. I'll give you special after-school lessons. Your studies will be far more fruitful than when you are with your girlfriend." Ririko seductively cooed, gently extending her arms as she hugged the kelpie. "Studying is a wonderful thing, you know? That's just one of many things I will teach you, William-kun." Ririko was practically pressing herself on William, moving her hands up from William's side to his face.

"Okay, HANDS OFF HIM!" Kurumu shouted as she grabbed William's collar, pulling him up the stairs. "Come on, William, we'll be late for our next class." Kurumu huffed. Seeing her homeroom teacher get that close and physical with William drove her madder than when she saw Moka drinking Danny's blood.

"Stay away from her," Kurumu said after passing a corner, ensuring she wasn't followed. She crossed her arms as she stared at William. "No, seriously. Stay away. Ririko-sensei is my homeroom teacher, and she's more than a little weird." Kurumy continued, holding up her hands while pulling them away from each other. "She's passionate about teaching, but she's the type who has a one-track mind and can't think about anything else, so she tends to go overboard with everything." Kurumu then dropped her hands and brought them to her chest, covering them as she turned away from William. "And yet, just because she has big boobs, she gets all the boy's attention! It pisses me off!"

"Not me," William said as he crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. "Her boobs don't interest me, not when there's a pair that I'm constantly thinking about." He continued, only for his face to flush beat red when he realized what he said.

"Oh? You've got tits on the brain, and they're not your precious Kurumu's boobs? I'm hurt, William." Kurumu teased as she feigned hurt in her voice, cupping her boobs as she turned around to face William and get a reaction out of him. Which she did by the sounds of protest William made; Kurumu giggled at his antics.

"You know that I only have eyes for you. Freaking Succubus, how the hell do you have a lasso of truth?" William questioned as he recalled when a lasso tied him up because Kurumu wanted to know what William thought about her and Moka. Some things said that William is more than ecstatic that Kurumu promised to take to the grave with him.

"Oh, I had you under a charm spell. I don't have a lasso of whatcha call it." Kurumu confessed as she stuck out her tongue. "You avoided answering the question at every possibility, so I had to charm you." Kurumu laughed while William groaned. "For real, William..." Kurumu began as she walked towards the kelpie, gently pressing her hands against his white school shirt as she leaned into him. "If you are going to Ririko-sensei's after-class study session, be careful; if she does anything weird, leave and find Yukari and me." Kurumu finally spoke after a minute of silence, listening to the kelpie's heartbeat.

"You've become the class manager; congratulations!" Moka said with a wide smile when she ran into her boyfriend again during their lunch break. She ran into Ren and Shannon earlier, and they told her they would meet up after she found Danny. It was weird that she hadn't seen any sign of William since homeroom, and generally, by now, Kurumu would be all over Danny. Huh, now that she thought about it. She saw less and less of Kurumu and William, and they always seemed to be hanging out when they weren't studying.

"No way," Danny said as he turned to face Moka. "Excuse me for a second," Danny said as he turned intangible to pull the pants down of some bully picking on a fellow student. "Man, does it feel good to do that! I haven't pranked a bully in a long time." Danny chuckled as he heard the commotion that his antics caused. "Okay, what were you saying?" Danny asked.

"Oh, I was just congratulating you on becoming the class manager," Moka repeated as she turned around to stare at the chaos Danny caused. 'Note to self: do not get on Danny's bad side.' Moka made a mental note as she imagined how Danny could enact his revenge.

"Oh, right, that. Nope. Not doing it. That's what the recount is all about." Danny said, referencing the giant stink he made that resulted in Nekonome conceding to another round of voting tomorrow.

"Really? Because I believe you'll make an excellent manager." Moka responded with a smile as she turned to face her boyfriend, gently playfully bumping into him.

"Of course, that goes without saying, but so would anyone else. I don't want to take on extra work, not when we're busting our ass off every free moment we have trying to get my powers back. The amount of time it takes to get me under control and the time between when I pass out and wake up is still too detrimental. I haven't said anything about this, but I'm not too pleased that Vlad has taken over the PSC; I'm half expecting him to launch some shenanigan from now until Summer Vacation." Danny spoke as he playfully bumped Moka back before the two decided to walk down the hallway shoulder to shoulder while their hands gently touched each other. Suddenly, blue mist escaped Danny's mouth as he laughed at one of Moka's jokes, causing the Halfa to look around.

"If you are looking for me, Daniel, I'm above you." A voice called out from above Danny in English.

"Vlad! What do you want?" Danny asked in English as he turned left, spotting Vlad standing by the upper floor railing.

"If you must know, my dear Daniel, nothing. I'm merely on my way from delivering a spectacular lecture on some of the world's greatest human writers who struggled with what it truly means to be human." Vlad responded, casting his ice blue eyes down to Danny, his slick back silver hair held in a ponytail bouncing with each step. "Ms. Akashiya," Vlad said, acknowledging the pinkette's presence with perfect Japanese. "I would like for you to drop by my office. We need to discuss your latest assignment." Vlad Masters said as he dusted his black suit, heading down the hallway, his words carrying extra weight.

Unbeknownst to any of them, while Vlad Masters and Danny were having their stand-off, a purple-haired Yuki-Onna wearing a raspberry beret walked calmly by the only other Modified Human on campus, bumping into the man. "Sorry, Sensei." She said as she pushed herself off the other halfa, but not before sliding her hand into his black suit, pulling out a little black notebook. "I have had trouble seeing ever since I went blind," Mizore spoke as she used her powers to conjure up a walking cane made of ice.

"Oh, my poor thing." Vlad Masters responded as he felt Mizore bump into him, quickly explaining herself to him. "There is no need to apologize for your disability, my girl. Take great pride in what makes you stand out from the rest of your kind, and take even greater pride as you overcome the challenges this school shall provide." Vlad said, holding her by the shoulders just for a minute so he could give his speech, then he went back to walking down the upper hallway.

Mizore hurried down the hallway, slipping the black book she stole into her sweatshirt pocket. Only, she was unaware that when Vlad Masters reached into his suit to retrieve his book to find it missing, he had sent one of his most loyal pawns at Yokai Academy, Deshi, after Mizore. When the Yuki-Onna found an empty classroom, she slid the door open and closed it as she slipped inside after ensuring she wasn't followed. Pulling the black book out, Mizore opened the cover; the snowwoman wasn't impressed by the drawing on the first page; so she flipped through it, already bored. Her English wasn't that good, and Mizore couldn't make out the more complicated and pompous words that appeared in the book, but it was clear that what Mizore had in her hands was Vlad Master's journal. Suddenly, Mizore's eyes widened as she scanned the first line in the journal as she was nearing the end.

"If you want to live, I suggest you give that back, deshi." A voice called out as Mizore felt a piece of wood jab into the back of her head. "That doesn't belong to you, deshi." The voice continued as Yokai's energy slowly filled the room.

'Just my luck.' Mizore thought to herself as she felt the spiritual energy of all monsters flows into her cold lungs. Her eyes narrowed as her finger froze in place, refusing to flip the following few pages. She was so close; she had Vlad's journal in her hand. She knew of Vlad and Danny's relationship as arches, something that Danny confirmed during one of their training sessions. She had to know what Vlad was planning and uncover his plot. Mizore NEEDED to know what Vlad wanted Moka to do. Mizore thought about her current situation; she couldn't see who was jabbing a stick into the back of her head, nor could she tell who the monster energy belonged to. Mizore assumed that this was someone Vlad trusted enough to recover this journal and someone powerful enough to take it if force was needed; it was the only explanation for her situation.

"I said give it back, deshi." The voice continued, pressing the stick further against Mizore's head; a small grunt escaped the snowwoman's lips. "I would rather not use force if it can be avoided, deshi." They continued.

Mizore said nothing as she scanned the room for the best possible escape route. Usually, Mizore would have plotted out every possible escape route from any room or building she was in, but this time. This time, she was too focused on her duties and assumed it would have been hours before Vlad Masters realized he lost his journal. Looking around, Mizore saw no other option but to fight; Mizore quickly flooded the room with an explosion of Yokai Energy, snuffing out the energy that was already released and causing her captor to remove the stick long enough for Mizore to throw up an ice wall between her and her attacker. As Mizore finished throwing up the wall, her eyes widened as she saw who it was: Deshiko Deshi, the current head of the Public Safety Commission.

Deshiko yelped as she felt Mizore's Yokai energy catch her off guard; she had underestimated this person's power. Deshi should have pumped out ALL of her Yokai Energy to knock out the insolent welp when she had the chance, but now there was no hope. Now, Deshiko is forced to fight, an act that she generally does not like. "Mizore Shirayuki-san, for stealing from a faculty staff member, you are now under arrest, deshi." She declared, smashing the ice wall with her bo staff.

"Daga kotowaru (I refuse)." Mizore said, forming a few kunai made of ice, swiping sideways as she threw them at the Head of the PSC. Mizore frowned when Deshiko easily deflected the kunai. 'I had hoped at least one of them would hit so I could have the chance to jump out the window.' Mizore thought to herself, her eyes darting from her fellow student to the nearby window.

"Attacking a member of the Public Safety Commission is against the rules; that is another crime to be added to your list, Shirayuki-san, deshi," Deshiko said, her skin quickly losing its color as it took on a pale grey-blue. Slowly, the body of Deshiko grew in size; her clothing promptly fell off as new clothes made of Yokai energy quickly replaced what she lost. Gone was the regular sleeveless jacket of the PSC, and the baggy pants now in their place was a uniform-coat-like robe with the top and bottom separated by a white corset with stings running criss-cross. The top and the bottom of the coat part of the rob was made of lavender cloth, with a white trim, and six strands of string, three on each side, were tied in a not at the top. The oversized sleeves of the robe part were black, tapered by white cuffs that concealed Deshiko's hands, while the long skirt flowed in the Yokai-soaked wind. To top it all off, the Jiangshi wore a black bowl-like hat with a knot made of red threads.

'A Jiangshi!? Where's the talisman?' Mizore thought in shock as she took the opportunity to gain some ground on her quest to hurl herself through the window. Sadly, her attempt was in vain as she felt her body suddenly lose energy. "W-What?" She cried out, slightly annoyed that her enemy broke her expressionless face. Falling to one of her knees, Mizore turned her head to see purple energy fading from her back and into the outstretched hands of Deshiko.

"Fufufufu. I prefer not to fight because it is hard to control myself when I begin to feed, deshi." Deshiko laughed as she absorbed Mizore's energy, hopping to the Yuki-Onna. "Your qi is very delicious, Shirayuki-san, very refreshing on a summer day like this; it's like eating baobing, deshi."

'I heard about the powers of a Jiangshi, but to experience it in real life is something else.' Mizore thought to herself as she used her powers to summon another ice wall between her and Deshiko, but it only melted. The Yuki-Onna's eyes widened as she bit the lollipop in half, biting down on her tongue. "Impossible!"

"Nothing is impossible, deshi." The Jiangshi laughed, her eyes narrowing dangerously, and a hungry look appeared before them. "Do you honestly think that you could take me on, deshi? Did it not seem strange that I would turn on Kuyou so fast to serve under Masters-Sama, deshi?" Deshiko asked, feeding on Mizore's life energy. "Had Fenton-san not received those godawful stupid powers, and Masters-sama listened to me, deshi... You all would be out of MY way, and I would have taken my revenge on Kuyou and taken his place to server Masters-Sama... all because he removed that talisman that FOX BASTARD PUT ON ME, DESHI!" She snapped, her eyes widening as an evil idea crossed her mind. "Fufufufufufufuffu, but I have an idea, deshi. I may not be able to get my revenge on Kuyou, but I can at least torment Fenton-san for Masters-sama." Deshiko laughed, her teeth baring as she reverted to her human form. She walked over to her PSC uniform, sliding it back on as she took a slip of paper out of her pants pocket. "With this, you will be under my control." She laughed, sticking it on the end of her bo staff, and slammed it against Mizore's forehead.

"W-What are you doing?" Mizore asked before her vision faded.
