Yukina has suffered from a serious setback. Yukina lost a duel against a fierce duelist named Taiyo. In doing so, he smashed Yukina's old DPA and all the points she gained were gone when she was so close to Duel Battlers. With nothing left to do, she had to part ways with Felix.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Felix questioned.
"Yeah. Don't worry about me." Yukina said. "I still have some time before Duel Battlers begin. I'll make it." She says so, but Felix is concerned about her. Still, there's not much he can do.
"Let me know if there's anything I can do." Felix said as he climbed up to the bus and was on his way. He was worried about Yukina, but he'll just have to believe that Yukina can make it. Once the bus carrying Felix was gone, Yukina dropped the act and was worried. She looked down and had zero points.
'I have zero points now, and we're halfway until Duel Battlers starts. I came so close only to lose it all.' Yukina thought. She kept thinking about Taiyo said. It sounds like he thinks Yukina isn't as great as everyone believes, but she can't let this stop him. 'I can't let this stop me. I just have to get into Duel Battlers so I can settle the score with Raika and put an end to the Black Ace. I'll have to take on every duel I can to regain all that I lost. There's not much time left.'

Yukina
Yukina decided that she'll just start all over and get all the points she lost back. She entered every tournament and took on every challenge that she could to try and regain all the points she could. With Duel Battlers just over a month away, there's not much time. She has to try and gain every possible point that she could.
'I have to win.' Yukina thought. That's what kept going on in her head as she kept dueling. She has to keep winning if she's going to make it. She can't afford another defeat or setback. Moving from one town to the next, she was doing the best she could.
"And we have another winner!" Yukina was walking through a town and spotted that someone won another tournament. "Let's hear it for Tanya Linetta! She has been winning duel after duel with elegance and class! As far as I know, she hasn't lost a single duel." She looked and saw this Tanya had shining blonde hair tied in a wavy tail. She wore a red elegant top with a purple ascot with a purple skirt and purple leggings.
"Sounds like this Tanya is real tough duelist." Yukina said as she would to face her one day. For now, she'll just have to keep moving. After seeing that, Yukina kept on moving. She just kept moving and taking on challenge after challenge until she came across a lake under the night sky. She was just passing by when she heard a splash. "Huh?" She took a look and saw a woman dancing around on the field like a ballerina. When she landed on solid rock, she kept spinning around looking so elegant and beautiful while she did it. It kept happening until she faded away. "What was that?"
"Pardon me. I wasn't aware there was an audience." Yukina looked and she couldn't believe her eyes. Tanya Linetta was standing right before her.
"You! You're Tanya Linetta! I just saw you on the news." Yukina said. "I heard you're quite a skilled duelist and haven't lost a duel. I don't know what I saw, but it looked quite beautiful."
"Thank you. That's quite the compliment coming from you, Yukina Osama." Tanya said.
"You know who I am?" Yukina questioned.
"Of course. Who wouldn't these days?" Tanya said. "I take that you're here, you're going to compete in the upcoming qualifying tournament happening Tonu Town."
"I am. Does that mean you're competing too?" Yukina questioned.
"I will be, and I'll be looking forward to facing you." Tanya said. "It will be quite an honor to face you since you are my guiding light." She claimed, but Yukina didn't quite understand. "Of course, I intend to be the star and you will soon be my supporter."
"What are you talking about? We never met before now." Yukina said.
"Don't worry. All will be revealed soon." Tanya said as she just turned around and walked off, but Yukina had no idea what she was even talking about.

Tonu Town
"It's now time for the Tonu Town qualifying tournament!" M.C. announced. "We're sure to have good matches here, so let's get going!" The qualifying tournament was underway with Tanya and Yukina in it. Both of them competed with Yukina's wild animals and Tanya's elegant dancers. The two of them dueled their way through the tournament until the two of them were facing each other. "We're in for a great duel with it being between Tanya and Yukina."
"I'm sure this is going to be an enjoyable competition." Tanya said. "It's time for me to shine and take the lead in our little recital."
"I still don't know what you're talking about, but I can't afford any defeats or setbacks now. Let's do this, Tanya!" Yukina said as she got her duel disk ready and Tanya did the same.
"Let's duel!" Both girls said as they were starting this duel with 4000LP.
"I'll make the first move!" Yukina said as she was going first. "I'll kick this duel off by summoning my Wild Ally Bull to the field!" She summoned out her bull as it came out with 1500atk points. "With that, I'll place one face-down and that ends my turn."
"My turn!" Tanya said as she drew her card. "Let's begin this dance by bringing out my soloist: Cyber Tutu!" She summoned out a ballerina to the field with her having a 1000atk points. "Next, I'll be activating this continuous spell known as Battement!"
"What does that do?" Yukina questioned.
"All it really does is allow me to draw an extra card whenever I do draw." Tanya said. "At least that's what it will do for the time being." Yukina didn't like the sound of that. "Next, I'm equipping my dancer with Devious Heel Ballet!" She said as the shoes on her dancer changed into into black heels and could still do ballet. "Now, the first act can commence. Since you have a monster with more attack points than my Cyber Tutu, she is capable of attacking you directly! Strike with class, my dancer!" Her ballerina twirled around and then jumped straight Yukina with her legs out and struck Yukina hard with her life points dropping to 3000.
"Ouch! Who says ballerinas aren't tough? This one is dancing all over Yukina's life points."
"And I'm afraid it's going to get worse for you, Yukina." Tanya said. "When you take a direct attack by a monster equipped with Devious Heel Ballet, you can't normal summon a monster with greater attack points."
"Are you saying I can't summon a monster with more than a 1000atk points?!" Yukina questioned.
"That's right. That's why "devious" is in the name, and my Cyber Tutu makes this a powerful combo." Tanya said. "I place one face-down and end my turn."
"Yukina seems to be in trouble. I don't know much about ballet, but it's looking like it's beating Yukina."
"My turn!" Yukina said as she drew her next card. She drew a trap and a powerful one at that. 'This trap would go perfectly with my phoenix, but I can't summon anything with more than a 1000atk points this turn. I don't have anything like that at the moment.' She thought as her cards were too strong. 'That doesn't mean my bull can't deal some damage.' "I activate my Beyond Tribute trap card! This card compels me to send a monster from my hand to the graveyard, and I choose my Wild Ally Phoenix!"
"What?! You are removing the star of your deck?!" Tanya said.
"Only for the time being." Yukina said as she discarded her card. "It's because that triggers my bull's special ability! Whenever a Wild Ally is sent to the graveyard, he gains 500atk points!" She said as her bull's power increased to 2000. "Time to charge!" Her bull went on the rampage and charged right at Cyber Tutu.
"I activate Doble Passe!" Tanya said. "Thanks to this trap, your attack becomes a direct attack one me!" That became a surprise to Yukina as Tanya's monster danced out of the way and smashed into Tanya with her life points dropping to 2000. "In exchange, you take damage equal to the attack points of the monster you were attacking!" Her dance leaped over the field and smashed into Yukina with their life points becoming even now.
"Tanya took a big hit, but it might have paid off with both duelists having even life points now."
"I place one face-down." Yukina said as she set a card, but was thinking about something else. "That ends my turn, but there's something I want to ask you about, Tanya."
"I already know what you want to ask. You are wondering why I call you my guiding light, why I want you to be my supporter." Tanya said and she was right about that. "You see, Yukina, dueling wasn't my passion at first. You can tell what it was based on my cards."
"You were a dancer?" Yukina questioned. She was. Tanya loved being a ballet dancer. She still remembers how she was on the stage. She felt truly happy and beautiful, even looked like it with how she danced on the stage. It was as if being a ballerina was her calling. "If that's the case, how did you become a duelist?"
"It was through forces I had no control of. Look here." Tanya said as she reached down and pulled up legging to show she had a scar on her leg. "During my last recital as a dancer, there was a terrible accident. Just as I performed a grand sauté, a light fell and hit my leg. The doctors say it was a serious injury and that I would not be able to dance again. To someone like me, do you know how that made me feel?"
"You could no longer do the thing you loved." Yukina said as she felt so bad for her.
"That's right. Surgery was done on my leg so that I could walk again, but they say I could never dance again." Tanya said. "I felt a great sense of misery and despair. For months, I remained in bed and felt a great sense of emptiness now that my passion was gone." She remembered how devoid she felt as she just laid in bed with her injured leg. Back then, it was as if her eyes had no life in them. "That all changed when I saw you. I saw you dueling on the television, and I saw your phoenix. It looked so beautiful." She never forgot seeing Yukina duel and how amazed she was of seeing her phoenix. It reignited something in her, and a couple friends of hers saw it. "For the first time in my recovery, I felt as if I came alive again. You had the same passion for dueling that I had for dancing. With help from some friends of mine, I built my deck around my love for ballet and decided to pursue this new passion. It makes feel like I'm on the stage again. It's all thanks to you, Yukina. You were like the light that guided me our of my sorrow."
"I see! That's what you meant!" Yukina said as she now understands.
"If I can't be a star in ballet, I will be a star in dueling, but I can't do that until I beat you!" Tanya claimed. "It's my turn! I draw, and my Battement allows me to draw again!" She said as she drew twice. She drew a monster and trap, but she wondered how to do this. 'I could attack her directly with Cyber Tutu and start a combo that brings her down to just 100LP. She can't normal summon a monster if I do that, but I won't be able to block her next attack. Besides, Yukina deserves to face my best.' "I'll tribute my Cyber Tutu to tribute summon!" She said as she discarded her monster. "Meet the star of my deck: Cyber Prima!" She traded away one lady for another, the same monster Yukina saw the other night. This one had a total of 2300atk points. "Cyber Prima's ability activates when she's tribute summoned! All spell cards are destroyed!"
"But your the only one with a spell on the field!" Yukina said.
"I know." Tanya said as Prima spun around and destroyed her own spell. "That triggers another affect of my spell. When it's destroyed, you lose 300LP for each card in my hand, and I'm currently holding three." A series of shards shot at Yukina and caused her life points to drop to 1100. "Cyber Prima, attack!" Prima started twirling around once again and moved closer to her bull until she landed a kick against it and caused Yukina's life points to drop even more down to just 800.
"Yukina has only 800LP remaining! If she doesn't turn this around, Tanya's winning streak will continue."
"I place one face-down and end my turn. I was hoping to face your phoenix. What a shame that I will not." Tanya said. 'Go on, Yukina. Go on and destroy Prima. My trap will be ready for you when you do.'
"I'm impressed, Tanya. You lost your path, but was able to form a new one. You started out at zero and made it this far." Yukina said as that's exactly what she's doing thanks to Taiyo. "However, I can't afford to lose here! It's my turn!" Yukina drew her next card as she's pushing on ahead herself. "I'm activating Wild Nest! Thanks to this spell, all I have to do is discard a Wild Ally winged-beast from my hand to the graveyard to gain two egg tokens." She said as she discarded her eagle and gained two eggs with 0def points. "That allows me to activate Beyond Tribute's second affect!"
"Second affect?" Tanya said.
"That's right! I can tribute summon a monster that's in my graveyard!" Yukina said with Tanya astonished. "I'll tribute both of my eggs to summon Wild Ally Phoenix! The monster you wanted to face!" She said as she gave away her two eggs and her mighty phoenix flew out on the field with Tanya amazed she got to see it in person. "Wild Ally Phoenix, let's put an end to this show! Attack Cyber Prima with Shining Wildfire!" Her phoenix ignited in flames and dived straight at Cyber Prima. It smashed against her and caused some damage with Tanya's life points dropping to 1800.
"I see! That's why you had no problem discarding your ace monster, but I'm afraid the curtain will fall by my hand!" Tanya claimed. "I play my Grand Sauté! This trap card resurrects the monster you destroyed and you will take damage equal to her attack points! It's over!"
"Not yet! I'm activating my phoenix's ability! By tributing it, I can negate your card and destroy it! Burning Reincarnation!" Yukina called as her phoenix unleashed an intense light. It might have been destroyed, but it stopped Tanya's trap.
'But now she is left wide open. What she doesn't know is that I have The Warrior Returning Alive in my hand.' Tanya thought. 'I can bring back Cyber Tutu with this and end this.'
"Sorry, Tanya! This isn't the Grand Finale you hoped for! I activating my Incarnation Blaze trap!" Yukina said as her turn hasn't ended yet with her activating her trap.
"What's that?!" Tanya said.
"Whenever my phoenix is sent from the field to the graveyard due to an effect, it resurrects at the end of the turn! That's why it's called Burning Reincarnation!" Yukina said. "Incarnation Blaze cooperates with that! When my phoenix returns, you take damage equal to its attack points!"
"What?!" Tanya said as that can only mean one thing.
"I end my turn." Yukina said. "That means...it's over!" Her phoenix emerged on the field in a blaze of rainbow fire. When that happened, it unleashed a powerful gust that smashed against Tanya and eliminated the last of her life points.
"It's over! Yukina has ended Tanya's winning streak and has pulled off a come-from-behind victory!" M.C. announced as Yukina managed to win another duel. Once the duel was over, both girls approached each other and shook hands.
"Yukina, thank you for doing this performance with me. This changes nothing. Next time, I shall be the star that shines." Tanya said.
"Good. I'm glad to hear you're still pushing on." Yukina said. 'I'm doing the same. I don't care how much the odds are against me. If I have to start all over, I will. Just you both wait.' She thought as she pictured Raika and Taiyo. She'll settle the score with both of them eventually. She's not giving up and is still going strong.
