Kakashi was rushing home, his mission lasted 1 week longer than it was supposed to. He was tasked to find a bandit camp and destroy it, but it turns out that it was a group with multiple camps scattered and it all led to a leader. An A rank missing-nin from Suna was the chief it seemed but Kakashi destroyed all of the camps with some help from Anbu, he had even cut hours of sleep and still was a week late. Kakashi felt a little at ease that they still lived in the Anbu apartments but all the what-ifs filled his mind. Kakashi made it to his apartment by opening the door.

"Hanzo!" Kakashi called out and nothing called back. He started to check all of the rooms but Hanzo wasn't there.

"Ok," Kakashi said. "Let's not panic…maybe he is out with his friends…..oh who am I kidding he doesn't have any friends!"

"Where could he be?" Kakashi thought "I told him he couldn't go to training ground 20 ... .Wait, I told him he could go to Ro's training ground."

Kakashi sped walk through the Anbu headquarters until he got to training ground Ro, he saw a little boy with gravity-defying hair trying to climb up a tree using chakra. Kakashi walked up masking his presence. He spoke in a deep voice "What are you doing here kid?!"

Hanzo fell down and immediately got up and bowed.

"I'm very sorry!" Hanzo said. "I was told I could!"

Kakashi started to laugh, and Hanzo looked up to see his dad.

"Dad!" Hanzo yelled and jumped to give him a hug.

"Hey," Kakahsi said. "Were you good while I was gone?"

"Yeah I was good, I hung out with Team Ro a lot!" Hanzo said.

"Wait what?" Kakashi said.

"Yeah, Team Ro," Hanzo said. "They knew you for some reason but they were really nice, they showed me a couple of Jutsu!"

"They did what?!" Kakashi said.

"Let me show you!" Hanzo said excitedly.

Hanzo did the Dog-Boar-Ram seals before saying "Henge no Jutsu," and transformed into a perfect Kakashi before turning back.

"You're full of surprises aren't you?" Kakashi said.

"That's not all!" Hanzo said.

Hanzo made the clone seal " Kage Bushin no Jutsu." And 10 Hanzo's popped up all over.

"They taught you what?!" Kakashi said.

"What is wrong…?" Hanzo asked. "Did I do something wrong?"

"No, you didn't, it's just that Shadow Clone Jutsu is a forbidden technique and you could die if you have too many clones. I can only make 5 before passing out from chakra exhaustion," Kakashi said.

"Then how can I make 10?" Hanzo asked.

Kakashi realized that Hanzo made 10 and looked perfect.

"It must be because of your almost infinite chakra reserves," Kakashi said.

"How do I have infinite?" Hanzo asked.

"When you were born a gene must've mutated or something," Kakahsi said. "I'm not even sure myself."

"Am I different?" Hanzo asked.

"No you're not different," Kakashi said ruffling Hanzo's hair.

"But I've been thinking.." Kakashi said

"That's not good." Hanzo jokes

"You really shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you," Kakashi said. "Anyway how would you feel if we moved into a house."

"We already have one," Hanzo said.

"No, I mean like an actual house," Kakashi said. "With a backyard, no rooms across from each other, and it'll just be us."

"That sounds awesome!" Hanzo said.

"Ok, I'll go visit the Hokage and tell him," Kakashi said. "You go pack everything."

"Don't worry I got it!" Hanzo said.

"Good, I'll be right back," Kakashi said and shun shinned away.

Hanzo packed up all his things, it wasn't much just clothes and a few history books. Hanzo then started to pack up Kakashi's things but he didn't know what his Dad wanted to do with his stuff so he put it all into different piles. By the time Hanzo was done Kakashi walked back into the house.

"Looks like we are all set," Kakashi said.

"I organized all of your things I didn't know where you wanted to put them," Hanzo said.

"Sometimes I forget that you are 3," Kakashi said with a laugh.

"I'm old enough," Hanzo said.

"I guess Hatake's grow up fast," Kakashi said.

"Yeah, you were a genin at 4!" Hanzo said. "I'm gonna become one too by the time I'm 4!"

"We'll see," Kakashi said.

The two of them all packed up and headed out using shadow clones to carry everything in one load. They got to their home, and it was a mess and a lonely house away from everything.

"What happened to the house?!" Hanzo said. "Who did this?!"

"Nature did," Kakashi said. "This house hasn't been lived in for years."

"Why didn't you live here instead of an apartment?" Hanzo asked.'

"That is a story for another day," Kakashi said. "Let's get started."

As the two of them were about to enter the house they heard a very loud "Yosh!"

Kakashi's eyes widened "Hanzo!"

"Yeah?" Hanzo asked.

"This is not a situation to be calm! Go into Green Beast protocol!" Kakashi said.

They had discussed the Green Beast protocol, his Dad said that the Green Beast was a different monster than the rest and you can hear him from a mile away. Hanzo reached into his bag, pulled out a history book and started to read.

"Kakashi! My eternal rival!" A man said.

Hanzo had his eyes on the Green Beast while he looked at his book.

"Guy," Kakashi said with a bored tone.

"You thought you could hide it forever!" Guy said. "You experienced youth in the best way possible! I see no better way than to enjoy the springtime of your youth than to participate in fatherhood!"

"This guy is kinda funny." Hanzo thought.

"Huh?" Kakashi said. "Did you say something?"

"You and that hip and cool attitude!" Guy said.

Guy then walked up to Hanzo and put his hand out for a handshake, Hanzo shook his hand but Guy basically shook his entire body.

"Hello there!" Guy said. "I am your father's eternal rival!"

"I'm Hanzo Hatake," Hanzo said.

"A most youthful name!" Guy said. "I heard that you were moving into the Hatake household so I have come to offer my help! The best way to bask in our youth is to help a friend in need!"

"Huh?" Hanzo said. "Did you say something?"

Kakashi ruffled Hanzo's hair after that. "That's my boy."

Guy looked like he got hit with a sledgehammer. "I see you have inherited Kakashi's hip and too-cool attitude! No worries, I will help you unlock your youth!"

"What does that even mean?" Hanzo thought.

"Well, we better get started," Kakashi said.

"Yosh!" Guy said.

Hanzo thought he would have some fun messing with his Dad.

"Guy, you and Kakashi are like brothers," Hanzo said. "Always competing with each other. Maybe I should call you Uncle Guy!"

Every bone in Kakahsi's body froze after hearing that. "That is not necessary."

Hanzo ignored his Dad waiting for Guy's answer.

"I would be most honored to be your uncle!" Guy said."I will clean the entire house until it is spotless! If I can't do that I will run around Konoha on my hands! If I cannot do that I will do 1000 pushups!"

Guy then took off inside and got to cleaning.

"Hanzo…" Kakashi said in his father tone.

"Oh… uh… yeah?" Hanzo said nervously.

"I hope you enjoy being grounded," Kakashi said.

"Guy isn't that bad what's wrong with making him a little happy, he is helping us after all," Hanzo said.

Kakashi sighed. "I'll let it slide this time."

The three of them cleaned out the entire house and tended to the yard making it look nice, Hanzo made use of shadow clones, and that made Guy go crazy about his 'Youthful Jutsu' . They started in the morning and ended as the sun was going down.

After they were done Hanzo wanted to go see what it was like having a backyard.

"Dad, can I go see the backyard? I have never had one before," Hanzo asked.

"I guess," Kakashi said. "I will call you back when dinner is ready."

Hanzo ran outside.

"And Guy if you want you can stay for dinner since you helped us." Kakashi offered.

"Yosh!" Guy said. "I will help you!"

In another part of Konoha.

Danzo was sitting at his desk looking at the new report of Kakahsi moving into his old home with a little boy who looked like him. Danzo had been aware of the boy's chakra condition and how it seemed he had an unlimited amount of chakra and it interested him greatly, he couldn't get the nine tails but this was a close second. A tailless-tailed beast. He called in two root Anbu.

"Your mission is to go to the Hatake residence and find the little boy with silver hair, you are to engage him and let him kill you," Danzo ordered.

"Yes Danzo-Sama." The root said before setting off.

Danzo was going to let the boy get his feet wet first, get him used to killing.

Back at the Hatake's

Hanzo was outside walking around the backyard and looking around it seemed so nice to be able to come out here at any time. Hanzo didn't notice the two figures that were perched on the tall tree in the backyard, the two figures gave hand signs to each other before jumping down and throwing a kunai at Hanzo at slower speeds.

Hanzo sensed something coming at him and barely dodged it, before turning around and saw two figures running at him and attacking him.

"Who are you?!" Hanzo said trying his best not to get hit.

The root had on Iwa headbands because that would force Kakashi to train Hanzo, and Danzo could wait until Hanzo was older and trained by one of if not the best Jonin in Konoha for a few years.

"The Tsuchikage has ordered your death." The root said. "After you and your father's death Minato's legacy will die."

"I don't know who that is!" Hanzo said, pulling out a kunai.

Now Hanzo was going blow for blow with these two, the Root Anbu held back but it seemed Hanzo was far more trained than Danzo thought.

Hanzo had trained his Taijutsu and he already had trained using shinobi weapons for a year now and he used everything he learned. He deflected their attacks and even struck back a few times, cutting them, but he couldn't keep it up forever so he thought of anything he could do. He had a single smoke bomb he could use, so he threw it down covering the field with smoke. Hanzo did the Shadow Clone Jutsu creating around 100 shadow clones as the root Anbu used the Great Breakthrough to clear the smoke, but Hanzo got the time he needed he hid in the tree while his shadow clones started to attack the Root. Eventually, he saw an opening and jumped down with his Kunai going for the neck of one of the shinobi. The Root Anbu had his orders so when Hanzo came down he didn't try to stop him, and Hanzo plunged his Kunai into the throat of one and sliced it causing blood to spew all over Hanzo. As he did that the other shinobi attacked him and stabbed him in the shoulder, Hanzo clutched his shoulder and staggered back and as the shinobi rushed at him about to stab him Hanzo saw the attack before it arrived and dodged it, the shinobi kept trying to hit him but Hanzo already saw the attacks and he saw an opening when the shinobi swung his arm down Hanzo ran forward and plunged his Kunai into the stomach of the shinobi who grunted in pain and while the shinobi held his stab wound Hanzo jumped up and slashed his throat killing him but getting him covered in blood again.

The reality of what happened hit Hanzo, he had just killed two people. He started to cry and sprinted for the house.

Kakashi was making dinner while Guy shouted in his ear about how youthful he was being.

"My eternal rival!" Guy said while balancing three eggs on his head. "I Bet you can't do fou-"

Kakashi heard the three eggs fall on the floor and Guy went silent, that was something Kakashi thought would never happen but when he turned to look at Guy who was staring at the door. Kakashi whipped his head around and had a heart attack, his three-year-old son was standing there covered in blood holding a stab wound in his shoulder, and had 2 red eyes crying.

"Dad!" Hanzo said through tears "Uncle Guy!"

"Sharingan…" Guy said.

"Guy go see what happened out there! I'll explain everything later!" Kakashi shouted.

Guy didn't say anything, he ran to the backyard to see what happened.

Kakashi ran up to Hanzo and hugged him while he started bawling in his embrace.

"It's ok…" Kakashi said.

"I…I killed them…" Hanzo said.

"Who?" Kakashi said, trying not to freak out.

"The people who attacked me.." Hanzo said.

"Let's worry about that later," Kakashi said. "Let me see your shoulder."

Kakashi looked over at Hanzo and the cut wasn't that deep, it didn't require a hospital visit and they had a medkit in the house so Kakashi fetched it while Hanzo sat down on the couch. Kakashi came back with the medkit and started to fix Hanzo's wound.

Guy came back into the house.

"The shinobi had seals on them to where after they die the body gets burned," Guy said. "I was able to get this."

Guy held up two Iwa forehead protectors.

"Those.." Kakashi mumbled.

"Hanzo we are going to see the Hokage," Kakashi said.

Kakashi picked up Hanzo and Guy and Kakashi ran to the Hokage's tower.

Hiruzen was doing paperwork and it was almost time to go home for the day.

"Maybe I will visit Naruto before retiring for the night," Hiruzen thought.

Then two figures came flying through the window.

"Kakashi, Guy," Hiruzen said. "What do I owe the pleasure?"

Kakashi threw the two Iwa headbands on the table and set down Hanzo.

Hiruzen looked at the headbands with blood spatters on them, then looked over at Hanzo who was covered in blood and it all made sense.

"Were there any more than this?" HIruzen asked.

"Not that we know of," Kakashi said. "Was there any more Hanzo?"

"No there weren't…" Hanzo said.

"Did they say anything to you?" Hiruzen asked.

"They said that the Tsuchikage ordered my death…" Hanzo said. "And that after me and my dad's death Minato's legacy will die."

Hiruzen let out a long sigh.

"Hanzo, could you go with Guy out into the hallway?" Kakashi said to Hanzo.

"Ok…" Hanzo said.

Guy and Hanzo walked out of the room while Kakashi and the Hokage had a talk.

"How could I let this happen?" Kakashi said. "I was on auto-pilot mode not paying attention ... .If only I was aware…"

"What's done is done," Hiruzen said. "The bigger problem is that Iwa tried to kill Hanzo."

"What are we going to do?" Kakashi said.

"We can't really do anything," Hiruzen said. "We are still recovering from the nine-tails attack and we can't afford to go to war right now."

Kakashi sighed.

"I do have an idea…" Hiruzen said. "But I don't think you will like it."

"Let me hear it," Kakashi said.

"You train him to be a powerful shinobi," Hiruzen said.

"No," Kakashi said. "He is too young."

"That didn't stop Iwa from attacking him," Hiruzen said. "And who knows who they send next."

"They could even send S rank missing nin…." Kakashi said.

"I don't think they will do that but it's a possibility I suppose," Hiruzen said.

"I guess we really don't have a choice do we," Kakashi said.

"It doesn't seem like it," Hiruzen said.

"If I'm going to train him I'll make sure he is stronger than any Iwa shinobi," Kakashi said.

"Do what you think you should do," Hiruzen said.

Kakashi thanked Guy for everything and Hanzo did the same, the two walked home in silence. Hanzo got home and took a shower to get all the blood off, and before he went to sleep his Dad came in to say goodnight, on the way out Kakashi said this.

"It isn't your fault." He said and shut the door.

Hanzo didn't feel that way.

Kakashi made up his mind he would rather have his son become a shinobi way too young rather than have his son dead by an assassin, he wouldn't let Hanzo be like him when he was younger though he would teach him better.

The next day Hanzo got up and walked out into the living room where his dad was already watching T.V

"Hey, Dad," Hanzo said.

"Yes?" Kakashi said.

"Can I get a mask just like you?" Hanzo asked.

Kakashi thought about it, before saying "Sure."

Kakashi walked into his bedroom, grabbed a spare mask and handed it to Hanzo who put it on his like Kakashi had his on. Then it clicked to Kakashi, Hanzo was trying to hide his face. It hurt him to see his son like this but if it made Hanzo feel more comfortable he could suck it up.

"Today we start your shinobi training," Kakashi said.

"Really?!" Hazno said excitedly.

Kakashi chuckled. "Ole reliable." He thought "Just say training and Hanzo is all for it."
