INTERLUDE IV:
Journal of Pastur Lorinor

Editor's Note: This is a series of entries in a recovered journal from a member of the Thalmor Army, by the name of Lorinor. He was a Pastur and commanded the equivalent of a company of the Imperial Legion. There were many gaps, some we were able to interpoloate, some we were forced to leave blank.
Second Seed, 4th
We're on our way to Gilane. We've been told that the Empire has declared war on The Aldmeri Dominion [ineligible] Arenthia. We've been told taking the City of Gilane is vital to the war effort. Once we have Gilane, we can take all of Hammerfell and once we have Hammerfell, we can launch an invasion of Cyrodiil from many points. Sounds like a solid plan.
Second Seed, 7th
We've successfully laid siege to Gilane. There was very little resistance. Tales of the Redguard ferocity were clearly embellished to cover for past failures. Tomorrow we take the city. Then it will be a massive military depot for our conquest of Hammerfell.
Second Seed, 8th
The Imperial Legion arrived today. They did not attack, they just set up their troops. Attack on the city was delayed due to their arrival. We'll defeat the legions tomorrow and then attack the city the day after. Both Hammerfell and the Empire will fall before the Aldmeri Dominion!
Second Seed, 10th
I was wounded in battle…badly [ineligible] left for dead. The empire fought with such ferocity! I lead my troops and honored my family, but was [ineligible]. I was left for dead, but by the blessings of the Auriel, I survived. It's too dangerous here. I will wait for nightfall and head for Arenthia, see my family and then report to the nearest garrison.
Second Seed, 13th
I had to ditch my uniform. I will get scolded, but I need to travel [ineligible] if I will make it home. It is slow going, it will probably be a few more days, but it will be nice to see my family.
Second Seed, 16th

It's…gone…it's…all gone…the city…the people…everything…everyone…what?
Second Seed, 21st
I met up with Commanders Rimintil and Calinor. The Empire kicked us out of Elsweyr. How can that be? They beat us at Arenthia, Gilane and now the whole province of Elsweyr?
Second Seed, 22nd
The Thalmor murdered my family. They murdered the entire city of Arenthia. I was told it was to "preserve the integrity of the dominion." What kind of [ineligible] murders its own people? I have been ordered to accompany Commander Rimintil back to Alinor. As soon as we get to Summerset, I'm going my own way.
Second Seed, 28th
The Thalmor lied to us. The Thalmor murdered us. The Thalmor [ineligible]. I cannot…will not..serve the Thalmor any longer. I'm not alone. There are more who are like me. We're going to organize. We're going [ineligible]. We're going to resist. The Thlamor will regret killing my family.
