45- Bullied
Summary: Instead of El getting bullied by Angela at the Rink O Mania, it's Mike.

El was acting weird.
Mike couldn't figure it out.
Ugh. He could hear the lecture from Max already.
They were getting roller skates when El froze.
"What is it?" Mike asked.
"I got to uh, go to the bathroom." El said, hurrying off towards the bathroom.
"Okaaay?" Mike said.
The two boys got their roller skates and started to put them on, when a girl skated up to them.
"What do you want Angela?" Will asked, looking exhausted already.
"Just wanted to meet your friend here." the girl, Angela, said sweetly.
"Oh, I'm Mike." Mike introduced himself, giving a small wave.
"Mike?" Angela asked. "Oh, Jane talked about you. You're the little boyfriend?"
"You know E- Jane?" Mike corrected.
"Sure do, we're besties." Angela told him. "Well, got to go."
"Nice meeting you." Mike called after her.
Angela sent a little wave over her shoulder while she skated off toward a group of people.
"She seems nice." Mike told Will.
He just stared at him.
"What?" Mike asked.
"Just-" Will started. "Don't make assumptions, okay?"
"Okay?" Mike said it like a question.
Will accepted it, continuing to tie his roller skates up.
El still hadn't come out of the bathroom.
"I'll go get her." Will said, noticing his sister's absence.
"Okay, I'll start skating." Mike told him.
Will nodded, skating off towards the bathroom.
Mike sighed and started skating towards the entrance of the rink.
He skated around it for a few minutes when Angela appeared.
"Hey." she said.
"Hi again." Mike said.
They skated side by side for a minute when Mike cut through the silence.
"So, you're friends with Jane?" Mike asked.
"Oh, the best," Angela responded. "I really like her- style."
Mike frowned. He looked at what Angela was wearing and when he remembered what El was wearing today, their "style" was completely different.
"That's nice." he said instead.
"I just wanted to get to know her famous boyfriend!" Angela exclaimed.
Mike nodded, not knowing what to say.
"Come on," Angela said, grabbing his hand. "My friends and I have a surprise for you."
Mike wanted to pull away at that point, but he felt inclined to follow Angela. She was El's new best friend after all.
So, he let himself be pulled into the middle of the rink.
Will and El emerged from the bathrooms at the perfect time to see Mike getting pulled by Angela to the middle of the rink.
"Oh no." El whispered.
The siblings looked at each other for a moment then back at Mike.
They saw Angela whisper something into Mike's ear, then skating off.
Mike stayed there.
Suddenly there was at least fifteen people surrounding Mike, grabbing each other's hands and spinning around him. Angela was there as well. They were all shouting and calling him a freak and a nerd.
Mike had no way to escape, the bullies blocking his path.
There was a spotlight on him now, and he looked up to the shining light.
There was suddenly a break in the chain of people and a boy holding a milkshake skated through.
"WIPEOUT!" everyone shouted at once, and the boy threw the milkshake at Mike.
Mike tried skating back to avoid the milkshake but ended up falling the floor hard.
"Mike!" El shouted, finally going out and skating towards her boyfriend.
Mike looked at her for a moment, then got up and skated away.
El slowed down when she saw Mike trying to get away. She was then stopped by Angela.
"See, Jane?" Angela asked with her sweetest smile that got meaner as she talked. "This is what happens when you snitch."
El looked down at the ground as Angela skated past her, laughing.
El's attention was then caught by Will signaling her that they should try to look for Mike.
El sighed, skating off the rink.
What a spring break this was turning out to be.
