RFtheGreat: Yeah they actually are more similar than one would expect, it's not as clear cut an interaction like say Dawn or Izzy (for either of them) but Lauren and Ezekiel can work well together. I was hoping someone would guess who it was, good job! Chef always did seem like the more reasonable one between him and Chris, and the new seasons just expand on that, so I thought he'd actually be quite concerned for the two. And about if anyone else gets involved with finding the duo, we'll see…

SideshowJazz1: Thanks for the review! I'll admit I haven't seen much of Dramarama myself, I just wanted to put a small reference in to explain why Chef's personality is slightly different in the new seasons. Can't wait to see how your story turns out (I took a look at your other story as well). Even Terry McGurrin himself said the producers could ignore the time skip if they wanted, so at this point as long as people make it clear then they can mix the casts all they want.

Chapter Five

Hunting humans was all Fang had ever known.

Ever since the original Total Drama Island where they had been used in challenges to torment the twenty-two teenagers, resulting in their eventual abandonment after Total Drama Action, where they was left with all of the other animals on Camp Wawanakwa as it slowly mutated by all of the amounts of toxic waste left by Chris McLean, resulting in their current ability to move around and breathe on land.

They had another chance throughout the next two seasons on Wawanakwa Island, tormenting several more teenagers, in particular that Scott who'd stolen one of its teeth, oh how they took such pleasure in mauling him after their joint ride in the 'Hurl of Shame'. But after Wawanakwa sank, they were left caged in this stupid mutant sanctuary they call the 'Fun Zone', for years there was no more humans to hunt, or torment, just other mutated animals.

But now…

It had spotted them early on, two humans travelling together in the Fun Zone. One of them pale, with purple hair and wearing dark clothing, a seemingly permanent wide smile on their face. The other, green and sickly, torn old clothing with only strands of hair left, that one looked familiar, were they on Wawanakwa before?

Whether or not they were didn't matter much to the mutant shark. It followed them throughout the Fun Zone, past the other mutant animals who seemed scared by the green ones' presence, past Larry's domain, throughout the entire mutated forest. They were mildly surprised by how well the green one knew the layout of the Fun Zone, but in the end that didn't matter too much to them.

All Fang knew was that there were finally some more humans for him to hunt down, and hunting humans was all they had ever known.

They were going to enjoy this while it lasted, because who knows if they would ever be able to hunt them again.

"Where are we now?"

Lauren just raised an eyebrow at the sight of the area that they had just stumbled upon, it looked like the beginnings of some construction on a private resort. Several pieces of scaffolding are scattered around the area, some broken down overtime and some still perfectly attached. Small areas of the main building had already begun construction, however clearly they'd never finished the area, given that the construction site existed in the Fun Zone in the first place, meaning that either it was abandoned because of the Fun Zone being put in place, or any occupants from beforehand had been killed by the wildlife.

Some mutated fauna had already begun to overtake the structure, several vines were wrapping around the scaffolding, and roots were sticking out of areas where windows or doors would've been. The roof of the building was mostly finished, however several holes were beginning to form where more mutated plants were starting to stick out.

Lauren looked towards Ezekiel to see if he knew anything about the abandoned resort, but was surprised to see that he was also seemingly confused about the appearance of it.

"I-I didn't spend t-too long in the Fun Zone eh. T-The other mutants n-never went this way, I always s-stayed with t-them until I left for the m-main part of the island." Ezekiel explained to her.

The two stood there, taking the sight of the abandoned resort in, before Lauren smiled creepily once more.

"Wanna go inside and explore it?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

Ezekiel just shrugged in response, not really bothered about exploring or not. Lauren clapped her hands happily and skipped into the abandoned building, Ezekiel walking in behind her.

Inside the building the appearance wasn't much better than the outside, mutated fauna covered large amounts of the interior, only parting to show the beginnings of what was supposed to be the main lobby of the resort. Pillars were shattered all over the floor, torn vines being all that keeps certain pieces of debris held in the air. The walls were only partially completed, and what rooms that could be seen through the gaps were definitely incomplete, having several tools scattered throughout them. Large claw marks could be seen on the walls of one room, the wall leading outside being completely destroyed, and pieces of clothing belonging to the former workers lay scattered around the room, some leading outside and towards the now mutated forest.

There was a marble staircase in the centre of the lobby, the stairs looking stable however there were various cracks in them, as well as more vines covering a large amount of the staircase, a dirty worn red carpet covered the centre of the stairs. At the top of those stairs lay the one piece of decoration in the room that had been put in place before the structure had been abandoned, a portrait of Chris McLean, which Ezekiel growled at the sight of. Lauren was nowhere to be seen in the room, however he could hear the sounds of her giggling echoing throughout the building, rummaging through what sounded like a pile of power tools.

Ezekiel, deciding to leave the Scary Girl alone for now, started to walk up the marble staircase, pausing briefly to slash his claws at the portrait of Chris, growling once more at the sight of the person who ruined his life.

Upstairs, the building was in even more ruins, hallways almost completely covered in mutated fauna, both growing over and sometimes even breaking through the half-finished walls. More decorations were around compared to the lobby downstairs, however almost all of these were completely destroyed by the mutant plants. A couple of claw marks could be faintly seen behind some of the vines, 'They look like woolly beaver claws', Ezekiel thought to himself.

Walking down the hallway, he decided to peek into the various rooms as he passed by, most of them were empty, unfinished, or completely destroyed by the mutated fauna. Various holes in the walls revealed the forests outside, and several roots that had started to grow into the building, up through the rooms, and out the ceiling. At the end of the hallway was another decoration, a golden statue of Chris. Ezekiel growled once again, and fired his acidic spit at the statue, completely melting the head and his upper torso, the arms falling to the ground.

He sighed, breathing heavily to recover from using his acid, small holes being created in the red carpet from where drops of acid hit the floor.

That's when he heard it, loud, heavy footsteps approaching him from one of the rooms behind him, "L-Lauren… Is that y-you?" He called out, beginning to turn around to face whoever it was, only to be smacked by a heavy object, sending the Feral Homeschooler flying into the other room, crashing into some nearby bushes that had begun growing.

Ezekiel got up, dazed and confused, only to be greeted by the sight of Fang stepping into the room, tail swishing from side to side, the mutated shark grinning maliciously at him. Ezekiel's eyes widened in shock at the appearance of the mutant, as it slowly advanced towards him, mouth opening to showcase rows of sharpened teeth.

He screamed at the sight of it, and rolled to the side right as Fang snapped at where he had just been. Ezekiel tried to escape back into the hallway, desperate to reach Lauren and get out of the Fun Zone before the shark could get to her, only to once again be smacked by Fang's tail and be launched into the other room, rolling into the wall and impacting it with a loud thump.

Ezekiel groaned in pain as he got onto all fours, looking up to see Fang staring him down once more, realising that there was no way of simply escaping, he growled at the mutant shark and leapt towards it.

Currently unaware of the chaos unfolding upstairs in the abandoned resort, Lauren was still digging through the pile of rusty tools she had found. The room surrounding her looked like it had been mostly finished, however the various claw marks all around, as well as the chewed apart clothing and helmets suggested that something dangerous had taken place that stopped any construction from being finished. A large hole led outside, where the mutated plants had started to grow into the room, however unlike a lot of the other rooms, this one was mostly unaffected.

The room itself looked like it was supposed to be a dining room, broken tables lay near one side of the room with parts of it chewed out, and there were small pieces of chairs thrown about all over the place, glass windows were completely shattered, with another torn cloth caught on a shard.

Lauren was singing happily to herself, throwing various tools over her shoulder and onto the tattered floor behind her, from small tools like screwdrivers and spanners, to bigger items like shovels. Eventually she gasped happily, pulling a jackhammer from the large pile of discarded tools.

She grinned from ear to ear, hugging the power tool like it was her favourite thing in the world, before placing it into the ground, ready to turn it on and start wreaking havoc on the abandoned resort. Before she could however, she faintly heard Ezekiel's screams echoing throughout the building. Not willing to leave the tool behind, Lauren picked up the jackhammer almost effortlessly, and began making her way towards the lobby of the resort, a large part of her looking forward to seeing what was making Ezekiel so scared, with a small part of her being quite concerned about him.

Ezekiel knew how dangerous it was trying to take on the mutant shark all by himself, and yet there was no other choice for him. His leap towards Fang had worked to briefly stun the shark, and he got a couple of swipes in before the shark was able to fight back, punching the Feral Homeschooler then proceeding to sweep his feet out from under him using its tail.

Ezekiel fell to the ground, eyes widening as the shark pounced once more, he held his arms out and caught the shark's mouth, just about keeping it held open, before kicking out with both legs, hitting the shark in the stomach, before scrambling away back into the hallway.

Fang quickly recovered, grabbing one of Ezekiel's legs and throwing him into the remains of the Chris McLean statue that was partially dissolved, destroying what was left of it. The mutated shark was prepared to leap again, only for Ezekiel to throw one of the arms at the shark, once again momentarily stunning it.

Ezekiel leapt up whilst holding the other arm, jumping over the stunned shark, using the other arm to smack it in the face, and ran down the hallway. The mutant shark was quick to recover and pursue.

Ezekiel shouted Lauren's name, hoping she was nearby so they could leave quickly, however before she could respond Fang tackled him to the ground once more, sending the golden arm flying out of Ezekiel's hands and down the stairs into the lobby, almost hitting the Scary Girl in the process as she walked into the room with the jackhammer.

Lauren glanced up the stairs, being able to hear the sounds of Ezekiel frantically trying to escape the mutant shark, who once more was trying to take a bite out of the Feral Homeschooler. The smile dropped from her face, finally realising that there was actual danger, and she ran up the marble staircase with the jackhammer still in hand.

Fang grinned maliciously at the downed human below them who was still struggling to escape from the mutant. Ezekiel tries desperately to reach for some debris, however the shark notices and stomps on the debris, baring down once more on the Feral Homeschooler. Ezekiel, still in a panic, starts to build up more acidic spit in a last ditch attempt to get away from the mutated shark.

But before either of them could attack the other, they both start to hear the sound of a jackhammer being activated, just as the end of it is pressed harshly against Fang's skull, stunning the mutant and forcing it to jump away from Ezekiel in order to avoid getting his skull completely caved in.

Ezekiel looked up to see Lauren stood over him protectively whilst holding the jackhammer, she glanced down at him and her angry expression softened slightly, she then looked back up at Fang and growled at him.

"I'm gonna make you wish you'd never been born…" Lauren said eerily, her eyes seemingly rolling into the back of her head. Fang just growled in response, teeth on full display, fully ready to devour both humans standing in its way.

Fang rushed forward trying to swipe the jackhammer out from Laurens hands, however the Scary Girl was able to dodge the sharks attacks and once again slammed the head of the jackhammer into its skull, kicking the bottom of Fangs face just to ensure that the shark would be in severe pain.

Eventually Fang was able to retreat, but it quickly attacked again, this time being able to catch the jackhammer with its teeth, quickly snapping the machine in half and throwing the now broken jackhammer out of the abandoned resort.

Laurens eyes widened slightly and her grin returned to her face, starting to see this as more of a challenge. Fang tried to bite her and like Ezekiel before her, Lauren was able to grab a hold of its jaws before they closed on her, unlike Ezekiel the Scary Girl was able to make use of her much higher agility, and leaped over the shark with her hands still on its mouth, and used the momentum to slam Fang into the ground as hard as she could.

Whilst the shark was stunned, Lauren took an opportunity to yank one of Fangs loose teeth out of its mouth, resulting in a guttural screech of pain from the mutant. She pocketed the tooth and smirked wickedly at the shark, growling at it when it started to get up.

Fang growled angrily at her, feeling humiliated, and went for another swipe. Lauren effortlessly dodged each strike, leading the shark further down the hallway and towards the remains of the Chris statue once more. When close enough to the statue Lauren backflips, kicking Fang once more whilst grabbing the other arm that was discarded nearby and smacking the shark in the face, sending it stumbling backwards.

After taking a moment to recover, Fang once more leapt at Lauren, and this time she was unable to dodge, quickly being thrown to the ground by the mutant. Fang growled at her, feeling a similar amount of anger at the Scary Girl as he once had against Scott back in the prior seasons. They prepared to attack the downed Lauren, only for a burst of acidic spit to hit the mutant shark, blast it through the wall and out of the abandoned resort. Lauren starts to get up in shock, only to be picked up by Ezekiel as he jumps out of the hole created by his acidic spit.

Ezekiel sprinted away from the abandoned resort as fast as he could, Lauren cradled in his arms. He ran down the path back towards Larry's domain, hoping that maybe the mutated venus flytrap would be able to distract the shark enough that they could get out of the Fun Zone and back to the main island. Lauren looks backwards and gasps, quickly telling Ezekiel that the mutant shark was gaining on them.

Luckily for them, just up ahead was the swamp-like clearing where Larry resided, and the two quickly took action. Ezekiel threw Lauren up towards the vines that they used to pass Larry the first time, which she successfully grabbed, Ezekiel quickly jumping up and grabbing the other.

Fang attempted to grab him as they swung off, but Lauren slammed the shark tooth she pocketed earlier straight onto the shark's head as hard as she could, stunning it and preventing it from catching either of them. The shark tooth bounced off Fang's head and hit the root sweeping across the clearing surrounding Larry, waking the mutant plant up. Noticing the mutant shark, Larry used its roots to pick Fang up, slamming it repeatedly into the ground, not even paying attention to the two humans who'd landed on the other side of the clearing.

Ezekiel and Lauren both turned to leave the area, both desperate to get out of the Fun Zone before the shark could recover, but not before Lauren cheerily waved at the shark, eerily saying "Bye" and giggling at the pain that the mutant shark was going through.

Eventually they'd made it back to the fence where Ezekiel had originally escaped the Fun Zone from, Lauren quickly started to climb through the gap that led outside, whilst Ezekiel looked back at the mutated forest that was briefly his home. After taking one last look at the Fun Zone, Ezekiel started to climb through the gap as well.

He had left it long enough now, the sixth contestant had just been eliminated from the island, and he was right, Chris had enjoyed the challenge greatly, and not only the challenge, but the drama from the elimination ceremony as well.

Chef knew that the situation regarding both Scary Girl and Ezekiel couldn't wait any longer, even if the situation only gets worse from this, Chris needed to know.

He stepped into the luxury trailer that Chris was residing in, finding the host applying yet another coat of hair gel onto his hair. Chris noticed the cook standing behind him and turned around smiling.

"What's good Chef my man?" He said calmly. "That was a good episode right, the action, the DRAMA, just think of the ratings!" He continued, smile widening at the thought of the show's success.

"We uh, have an update on the Scary Girl situation." Chef responded, slightly nervous about the news he was about to deliver to the host.

"Really? What about it?" Chris asked, his interest peaked.

"I got a call from the Playa this morning, that Damien kid claims he saw her on Boney Island on his way to the resort." Chef explained.

"I'm getting a but situation here Chef, out with it." Chris demanded.

"That's the thing…" He started. "She's not the only one on the island…"

"You mean the mutant animals, you know that they're contained in the Fun Zone? Didn't the network have to make sure of that while I was in prison?" Chris asked, confused.

"That's not who I meant, it turns out someone else was living on Boney Island this whole time." Chef explained.

"What do you mean? Who would… no…" Chris's eyes widened in shock, quickly realising the only explanation that would make sense in this scenario.

Chef nodded at him, already knowing the conclusion that Chris had come to, "That's right, Damien claims that Ezekiel was also spotted on the island, that the two were spotted together. I've sent the interns over there, with any luck the both of them should be back at the losers resort by tomorrow."

Chris just nodded numbly, thoughts racing at the reveal that his all time least favourite contestant was still around, one that tried to kill him no less. Anger quickly started to rise at the realisation, and he turned once more to Chef.

"Make sure they do, especially Ezekiel, no way is he ever coming back to this island, especially if he's still feral!" He said angrily, voice raised but not to the point of shouting.

Once Chef left and the door to the trailer was closed, Chris slumped in his chair, thoughts no longer on the state of his hair, or the drama that was stirred up in the show. No, instead his thoughts were focusing on how he was going to potentially deal with both Scary Girl and especially Ezekiel.

End Chapter

Author's Note: I tried my best with the fight between Ezekiel, Lauren and Fang, but honestly I don't know if it's actually any good, let me know what you guys think.
