Megas WBM (War Battle Machine)

Chapter 8: Honesty, what honesty?
Saturday September 4th, 2004; 2:30 pm
It was another lazy afternoon in Jersey City. In Goat's junk yard, Coop and Perseus were both doing routine repair work on their robots. The other two Megas mechs were being worked on as well, but one was being modified for non-combat purposes while the other one was getting some odd work done by Alex, but he was taking a break as his buddies worked.
"Man, why do birds just want always take a dump on my car?" Perseus said as he scrapped bird poop off of the hood of his car.
"I don't know, maybe because they like the car?" Coop asked.
Perseus just merely grumbled as both worked on their robots while Alex was playing with Jamie in a game of Battleship. Eventually after Alex beat him for the fifth time today, Jamie just went and picked up a magazine and started to read while Alex listened to some NWA and Elvis songs again.
"Hey, check it out, I installed two cylinders and two more drive a gear, now that's power Perseus for both our mechs. Eventually, I hope to do the same to those other mechs." Coop said.
"Yeah, that's nice and I hope you didn't mess anything up with my robot, my future brother-in-law's, or even Alex's or you'll get a tomahawk foot missile in your ass Coop." Perseus said as he finished cleaning his robot.
Jamie nearby asked, "What are those going to do anyway,"
"Likely more power and something great for those mechs I guess..." Alex said while standing near Jamie.
Just then, Kiva emerged from a spot in Megas' chest after working on Coop's mech to talk. She had earlier helped Perseus with his mech and was now finishing her work on Coop's mech before moving on to help with the other two Megas mechs.
For Kiva, it felt a bit kind of strange because while Coop's mech was first a Glorft mech which then became a Human mech before Coop modified it to his taste, Perseus' mech was straight out a Glorft mech tuned to Perseus tastes as were the other two Megas mechs, but were getting tuned to different functions. It did bring back memories to when she first modified Megas from the Glorft a while back, but pushed those aside to talk to Coop and Perseus.
"Well, I increased the ion flow through the phase plasma drive which means that any negative charged plasma energy will be removed by the ion particles in the plasma drive which means it will make Megas and its brother unit go faster. The same will be done to the other two though I'm a bit relieved that at least one won't be used for destruction." Kiva said.
"Nice Kiva!" Coop shouted.
"Great, now can break something please because I'm bored..." Jamie said while near the four mechs.
Alex looked at him and asked, "Then why are you reading The Complete Idiot's Guide to Picking up Space Chicks then huh?"
Jamie of course ignored him and proceeded to walk away which prompted Alex to go after him while Coop got everyone's attention, "Hey everyone, as soon as we're done here, we'll head on over to Fish-In-Barrel because today is the last day for Cain crawfish nuggets."
"I prefer normal crawfish over nuggets any day Coop, but that's just me..." Perseus said as he just looked outward to the city from his car/head unit.
Meanwhile, Jamie and Alex were walking away from the two mechs debating on how to get a woman's attention while Jamie complained about how they now had two more giant robots to smash anything, but were being used differently. Alex was just about to open his mouth again when all of a sudden four pink hearts appeared in front of them out of nowhere.
Before the duo could process what was going on, a bright blast knocked both guys on their asses away from the light show going on which the four hearts floated above the ground and one by one a young female materialized in front of each of them.
The first one appeared to be tanned, had pink-red nails, had green eyes, ginger hair in a pony tail, and wore what looked like to Alex an cross between a sailor suit and an outfit straight out of the anime Sailor Moon, but had slightly different look and was purple and white in color.
The second one wore an outfit similar to the first one, but was a yellow primary color instead of purple, appeared to be almost Korean in Alex's eyes, had short black hair, and had hazel eyes.
The third one also wore an outfit like her comrades, but was dark blue in primary color, slightly tanned, had pink hair that was long that went all the way down to her lower legs, and had light blue eyes which Alex thought were pretty.
The fourth and last one which to Alex looked almost like the main character of Sailor Moon, but had a tan, had dark blue eyes, blonde hair in two long pig tails, and had an outfit like her friends, but had a red and white color pattern along with pink hearts to boot.
"What the heck is this? Is there an Anime convention going on here this weekend that I didn't know about?" Alex asked.
"Uh, no and besides they look pretty..." Jamie said.
No sooner did Jamie say that when the four finally appeared in front of the two in the junk yard when one of the alien females spoke up, "This looks like the place."
"They appear to be human, but I'll still be cautious just in case..." Alex thought mentally as the four females came to Jamie and himself.
"We're looking for the pilot of the big blue robot and possibly his ally, have you seen them?" The pink-harried female asked.
Jamie sought this was an idea to pick up chicks while Alex looked at Jamie telling him that they shouldn't lie, but Jamie beat him to the punch by speaking, "Uh, yeah I'm Coop and my friend next to me is Perseus the pilot of the black and silver robot as well."
"Oh my, gosh they're both cute!" The pink-harried female shouted.
While the four unknown female human-like aliens were goggling over the two "pilots", Alex only had one thought in mind, "Jamie, if Perseus finds out about this lie, you better start running."
"Oh great and powerful ones, we need both of your help urgently..." The blonde-harried female said.
"Really? How bad may I ask?" Alex asked while playing along.
"We need you and your friend Coop to fight a very dangerous and evil creature that's wrecking our beloved home." The blonde-harried female said.
Jamie was surprised at what was being asked and replied, "Uh yeah about that, you see my robot along with Perseus' robot is in the shop; being repaired after our last mission and…"
Upon seeing the said, puppy dog look on one of their faces, Jamie suggested the catch a movie, but Alex beat him to the punch by asking one thing in fake answer which he hated lying because he was taught that making a false statement would come back and bite you in the ass.
"We'll help, but first can I ask who your names are please?" Alex asked.
"Well answer that later, but first and foremost, we need both of your amazing robot piloting skills..." The blonde-harried female said firmly.
The next thing both guys knew was that all four females pressed a device on their right gloves, did a quick dance, and disappeared like magic before they too vanished into thin air.
Right after that, Coop and Perseus were finished with their robot work and noticed something weird in the junk yard. Kiva noticed it seconds later after she made her way down to the two at the base of the feet of the Megas robots.
"Come on Jamie and Alex, it's time for Cain crawfish nuggets!" Coop shouted.
"Hey Jamie, Alex come we can go now so, come on out please..." Perseus said.
"Where the hell did they go?" Coop asked.
Kiva spoke near Coop, "I was wondering why it got quite all of a sudden."
Coop then walked forward a bit while his stomach growled and spoke again, "Come on guys, I'm hungry."
"We have to find them because otherwise, I'm dead..." Perseus said bitterly.
Meanwhile far away from Earth, Jamie and Alex were being flown to a domed city in a futuristic, but girly spacecraft. Alex gave Jamie a harsh glare while the Ultra Cadets as the found out were looking away saying to Jamie basically one thing; I'm so going to kill you when we get home.
Alex annoyed asked who the space females were, "Can you ladies please tell us who you are so we can now who should we refer to?"
"Oh yeah, the one in the purple and white outfit is Galaxia, the one in the yellow and white outfit is Comet, the one in the red and white outfit is Pulsar, and I'm Nova Perseus..." The pink-harried female named Nova said.
"Okay then, listen ladies-" Jamie tired to speak, but was interrupted.
"Our planet has been under attack by this evil creature called the Kurdock and we haven't been able to defeat it." Pulsar said.
Jamie again tried to speak before being interrupted again, "Ladies listen, I promised this other guy I'd help protect his planet so-"
"Even we Ultra Cadets with our combined powers haven't been able to stop it completely, but you two have faced far worse enemies..." Comet retorted.
"Yeah listen, like we said before ladies or I've said before that our robots are busted right now and we can't operate either one of them right now..." Jamie said.
Eventually the craft entered the city, flew past the buildings, and landed in a mech-type hanger. The two Earthlings were lead to a pair of fierce-looking mechs that were very war-like that would've impressed Coop and the US Military due to their design and color palate.
"You two can use these two!" Nova shouted.
At first Jamie and Alex thought they were going to use the war-like mechs, but that was soon dashed away as the two war mechs were moved aside for some reason and instead a pair of girly-colored humanoid-looking mechs appeared instead.
Jamie's was tan, cameo pink, and orange-pink with a light blue visor while Alex's was the complete color opposite of Jamie's mech with the exception of the tan color and had a yellow visor.
"What the f-?" Alex thought mentally.
"They're a bit old, but that shouldn't matter to a pair of ace pilots like you two Coop and Perseus!" Pulsar. shouted.
"Yeah, a pair of ace pilots..." Jamie said quietly to himself.
Just then the two Earthlings were pushed into an elevator that serviced both mechs with the Ultra Cadets following suit and the elevator then went up to where the two Earthlings could board them.
As the lift went up, Pulsar spoke first, "Due to the constant attacks by that evil Kurdock, we've been forced to create a protective barrier to protect the city."
"We don't know how much longer it'll last," said Comet in a sad tone.
"You two are the only hope we have left," said Pulsar.
"Yeah about that-" again Jamie tired to speak as he was interrupted by a push to his mech.
Pulsar looked at Jamie and spoke, "We know this isn't like your mech, but it should do the job Coop."
"Don't worry, we'll have Perseus go with you in case you need help which you might not need due to your amazing skills!" said Galaxia.
"We can't wait to see you Coop pound that evil Kurdock with Perseus finishing it off!" shouted Nova.
"Oh there will being pounding alight..." Jamie muttered under his breath.
As soon as the group reached "Jamie's Mech", Jamie was pushed into his mech which the hatch then shut on him with him in disbelief that he'll be fighting for the first time using a mech.
"Wait, aren't you ladies coming to help us?" Jamie asked.
"No, we'll get in the way and good luck Coop in destroying that evil Kurdock!" Pulsar shouted.
Seconds later, Alex found himself being escorted to his mech which he didn't say anything which did initially bothered the Ultra Cadets, but soon dismissed it because that was they thought was made Perseus more of a badass.
What they didn't know was that Alex was being quite so he hoped that as soon as this Kurdock was done, they could go home and he could kick Jamie's ass for this stunt he was pulling on them.
After he boarded his mech, Alex quietly got into the seat of his mech which was a bit larger than Perseus' car, but the controls were a bit alien to him and decided he should just suck it up and learn how to control it.
Unlike Jamie, Alex was actually allowed to pilot one of the two Megas mechs which was Perseus' due to his friend doing the same for his sisters Anna and Laura and his brother Luke that was going to be handy when his mech was operational.
He was trained to fly the mech Perseus flew in case Perseus was unable to fly the Megas WBM. Also, his fighting style was the polar opposite of Perseus which was dodging enemy fire, beating the crap out of an enemy, and then firing on it to stop it.
Inside his mech, Jamie muttered just one thing, "Note to self, when crazy and attractive space chicks ask if you're an ace pilot, you say no and don't drag anyone who isn't a pilot with you!"
The two mechs were then moved from their docking berths via a pair of crawlers for each mech which while it wasn't bothersome on Alex's mech, it was bothersome for Jamie as he stumbled backwards into his seat and strapped in.
Outside the mech hanger and while being moved outside the domed city, the citizens of the city cheered for the two which none didn't realize was that they weren't Coop and Perseus.
"I'm so freaking dead and going to get my sorry ass kicked..." Jamie said to himself quietly.
Once outside, both mechs were let off their crawler transporters and left outside the city to deal with the Kurdock. Inside his mech, Alex mentally braced himself for the battle while Jamie sat in his seat nervously.
"Okay calm down Jamie, Coop and Perseus do this stuff everyday so how hard could it be that a group of chicks couldn't beat this thing?" Jamie asked himself.
"Oh I don't know Jamie like, freaking hard!" Alex shouted from his mech.
Eventually the duo felt the ground shake and Alex took the precaution and zoomed in on the area around them which there was nothing at first, but then he spotted a column cluster of orange-red spines moving through the forest.
The creature began to move closer and closer to the domed city which Jamie then zoomed in using his mech's camera which then showed the Kurdock which looked like a cross between a slug and a flightless dragon.
It was gray colored, had orange eyes, and had orange-red spines which looked terrifying to Jamie, but not so much so to Alex who had seen his fair share of monsters from all the Kaiju monster films he watched.
The Ultra Cadets then contacted the duo with Pulsar speaking, "We got all our fingers crossed for you Coop and Perseus."
"See all of you when both of you two get back..." Comet said.
Before either Jamie or Alex could retort, the Ultra Cadets cut the feed and both were now facing the Kurdock. The Kurdock let out a scream before coming towards the two girly mechs which caused Jamie to scream like when he was dragged to Waverly Hills Sanatorium.
The monster continued to advance which freaked out Jamie who he started pressing random buttons and pulling a lever while muttering, "Ah, screw this! I'm getting out of here!"
Jamie's actions caused his mech to fly forward instead of backwards which made Jamie just shout out loud, "Whoa! Wrong way! Wrong Way!"
Inside his mech, Alex just shook his head slightly and calmly activated his mech's thrusters to go after Jamie so he wouldn't get himself killed. Back inside the domed city, the Ultra Cadets watched Jamie "Fight" the Kurdock which if they bothered to come with him; they would've seen the opposite.
"Wow, Coop is going straight for the Kurdock!" Pulsar shouted.
"He's so brave and Perseus is going to provide back up! Amazing!" Nova shouted seconds later..
Back outside, Jamie was doing anything short of amazing as he just kept screaming like crazy while Alex tired to follow him, but he wasn't having a much easier time either with the controls.
Eventually, both flew past the Kurdock which prompted the monster to follow the duo while Jamie just kept panicking while Alex was trying very hard to figure out how to control it.
"Oh man, I wish Coop, Kiva, and Perseus where here!" Jamie shouted in his mech.
"You think!?" Alex said from his mech.
While Jamie and Alex were busy dealing with the Kurdock and trying not to kill each other, back on Earth Coop was starting to get nervous about where Jamie and Alex were at along with Perseus.
"Hey Jamie, Alex come on out. I'm hungry! And this isn't funny!" Coop shouted.
"Why don't you get something to eat yourself or better yet, why don't you have Perseus go with you?" Kiva said.
"Eat without Jamie?" Coop asked in shock.
Coop then began to imagine himself at a burger fast-food place watching all other big guys like him eating with a small friend by their side while he ate alone unhappy while Perseus on the other hand pictured himself in prison if he didn't find Alex.
"Oh I just saw Jamie and Alex nearby talking to some space chicks." Goat said while walking up to them.
"Space chicks?" Coop and Perseus asked simultaneously.
Goat shrugged and spoke, "Yeah something about needing help and warped away with the two. Man, some guys got the luck when it comes to getting chicks."
"Why would anyone need their help especially Jamie's?" Kiva asked.
Coop didn't like the idea and spoke, "Man, I'm starving and Jamie is goofing around with some space chicks along with Alex."
"We'd better go find them, leaving them with a bunch of innocent aliens is a bad idea..." Kiva said sternly.
"What's the worst they especially Jamie could do?" Coop asked innocently.
Coop then imagined briefly that Jamie was a tyrant along with Alex being a ruthless general that eventually destroyed the alien planet they "ruled" as Coop soon snapped back to reality.
"Okay then, we better go find them." Coop said while realizing the gravity of the situation.
"Hang on; I'm coming with you guys. The one in blue was giving me the eye." Goat said.
Coop, Kiva, and Perseus just stared him with a bunch of annoyed expressions on their faces as the junk yard owner was less focused on Jamie and Alex and more on females.
Goat simply shrugged and spoke, "What? She was wasn't she?"
"Just get in my damm mech goat. Kiva you riding with Coop as usual, (sigh) we got a pair of guys to find." Perseus said while annoyed as hell.
Meanwhile, Jamie and Alex were "Fighting" the Kurdock although it was more or less running away than fighting. Alex on the other hand was more focused on getting away and figuring out how to control the alien mech he was in while Jamie was more focused on just running like a coward. Back in the domed city on the other hand, the Ultra Cadets were still watching the fight when the two mechs disappeared from visual range much to their dismay.
"Look at that! They're leading the Kurdock away!" Pulsar shouted.
"But now they're out of sensor and visual range…Aw, now we can't watch the fight anymore..." Galaxia muttered in dismay.
"It doesn't matter, that Kurdock will be begging for mercy before long..." Comet said.
How ironically, it was the very opposite in the cockpit of Jamie's mech while Alex after much frustration was able to at least master the basic controls though he still didn't have full control of his mech.
"Please! Please don't hurt me!" Jamie shouted.
"I swear if he keeps this fake hero act up, I'll personally get out of my mech and kick his ass for a couple of hours...Lord give me strength please...to endure this idiot's whining..." Alex thought mentally.
The two mechs kept dodging avoiding the Kurdock's flame attacks which after about a minute, Jamie found himself walking up a volcano which Alex running to his left trying to stop his as well.
Jamie shouted in panic as his mech got closer to the lip of the volcano, "Oh man, we are the brakes on this thing?"
Jamie was able to stop his mech at the last second though it caused a bit of rock to fall into the volcano and into the lava below with Alex stopping his right after much to his relief.
Before the two could talk, the roar of the Kurdock drew their attention as the creature got closer to the duo. The Kurdock went around the duo intending on smacking both into the volcano when Alex in a panic moment used the controls to cause his mech's left leg to swing out.
This caused the Kurdock to trip and before it could retaliate, it fell forward into the volcano seemingly destroying it. Jamie cowering inside his mech pulled his arms away to see the Kurdock sinking in the lava. Alex on the other hand breathe a sigh of relief that this whole mess was over, but a gut feeling told him that it wasn't over.
"Yeah that's what I'm talking about! Jamie the Kurdock slayer!" Jamie shouted from his mech.
Alex just rolled his eyes as the two waited to be picked up by the Ultra Cadets which didn't take long as the two were escorted back to the domed city and to a "Victory" parade.
Out in deep space, the two Megas mechs were flying through the cosmos looking for Jamie and Alex. The silence was broken by Coop's stomach growling in hunger that Goat took note of.
"Dude, looks like you have some loose bearings..." Goat said from Perseus' mech.
"Nah it's just me..." Coop replied calmly.
Another growl from his stomach confirmed that, which he replied, "Come on Kiva, what's taking so long?"
"I'm trying to track any form of residual warp energy from an unknown source Coop, so it could take a while. Wait I got something, but it's very weak..." Kiva said quietly.
"Sounds like Jamie and Alex." Coop said.
Both mechs then sped further up in speed towards the very weak sound which Coop muttered, "Hope neither one is getting eaten by some monster or something."
Contrary to what Coop was thinking, back with Jamie and Alex on the planet they were on in which both were being treated like "heroes" which Jamie enjoyed while Alex pretended to enjoy it because he wanted to go and double check that the Kurdock was truly dead, but he had to put up the fake hero look to avoid getting anymore complaints from Jamie.
"Oh yeah, who loves you baby?" Jamie asked to himself while inside his mech.
The Ultra Cadets giggled as Galaxia placed a Cesar-like crown on his head like Alex which she spoke, "You and Perseus are so cute!"
"Not to mention so brave!" Comet shouted.
Alex on the other hand rolled his eyes and muttered quietly and sarcastically in his mech, "You wish."
Outside the two mechs, the crowds cheered at the "heroes" while the two Megas mechs got closer and closer to the planet. A portable bridge tube was set up to allow the Ultra Cadets to walk between the two mechs.
"Tell us more about your adventures Coop." Pulsar said near Jamie.
"Nah I couldn't but…" Jamie replied to Pulsar.
In his mind, he imagined himself beating up the various villains Coop faced before and after Perseus showed up, but with his face on Coop's body while Coop's was on his being his side kick.
"And that was before lunch and this one time Perseus and I had to fight a pair of villains and an entire army like this." Jamie said while moving the mech around.
Alex on the other hand just moved his a bit to keep up the act while far away, the two Megas mechs got to the planet, went through the atmosphere, and were fast approaching the domed city.
"Jamie and Alex are in there." Kiva said while confirming the locations of the two humans.
"And that those two city-wrecking bots causing havoc there have something to do with them." Coop said.
Ignoring Kiva and Perseus' warnings, Coop accelerated his mech and smashed the dome covering the city while Perseus just followed clearly annoyed with Coop's antics at times like this.
Both Coop and Perseus then proceeded to tackle the two mechs in the city which caused them to fall down while both Megas mechs then stood after that was done. The connector bridge was snapped in half due to the actions of the two mechs and lay nearby.
"You know Coop, we could've entered the city without breaking the dome in the process..." Perseus said.
"Oh come on man, where's the fun in that?" Coop asked.
Coop briefly smiled before realizing something and he spoke it out loud, "Whoa, now I know along with Perseus what those extra cylinders and gears do now."
"Coop seriously, what are doing really?" Kiva asked while clearly being annoyed with Coop's antics.
"Seriously dude because of your little stunt, Perseus had to drive erratically to avoid the glass which almost caused me to swallow my lollipop..." Goat said sternly.
"Hey, both Coop and I stopped these two robots from squishing those little people bro." Coop said.
Just then the main monitor on both mechs came on which on Coop's showed Jamie with the four Ultra Cadets while on Perseus' mech showed Alex just dazed and confused look as he sat in the mech he was in.
"Hey Coop, Perseus; what are you two doing, Uh I mean Jamie and Alex..." Jamie said to the two Megas mechs.
"Jamie? Alex?" Coop, Kiva, Perseus, and Goat asked simultaneously while being confused.
Just then the Ultra Cadets warped out of the two mechs; Pulsar and Comet out of Jamie's "mech" and Nova and Galaxia out of Alex's "mech".
"How dare you two attack our heroes!" Pulsar shouted.
"Have four ladies been smoking weed or what?" Perseus asked while not trying to laugh.
"Jamie and Alex heroes?" Kiva, Coop, and Goat asked together before laughing.
Kiva smiled and spoke, "If these ladies seriously think Jamie and Alex are heroes, they do need help."
"We'll protect Coop and Perseus no matter what!" Comet shouted.
Coop inside his mech just muttered in shear boredom, "Protecting? What are you talking about I don't need any protecting nor does Perseus."
"Jamie, Alex what is going on here?" Kiva asked.
Jamie in his mech replied, "You know it's kind of a funny story,"
"Yeah, a story spun as a lie..." Alex retorted with anger in his voice.
Outside of Jamie's "mech", Nova briefly looked at the robot before looking at Coop's mech and spoke, "Don't Coop and Perseus, we'll get both of your robots back from this chubby thief and his lackey."
Inside his mech, Coop was a bit offended by the remark and spoke about it, "Chubby? Lady, this is fat and my friend is no villain either."
Coop further add punch to his argument by grabbing his gut and showing a bit of his fat much to the disgust of the Ultra Cadets and the annoyance of Perseus who briefly face palmed at this move.
"Dude, was that necessary?" Perseus asked.
On the ground, Pulsar looked at the two mechs before turning to her teammates and spoke, "Ultra Cadets, prepare for battle!"
Inside the Megas WBM, Goat was surprised at the group of females wanting to fight the two Megas mechs and spoke to both pilots and Kiva, "Dude, those girls want to fight us?"
"Look, there has to be some sort of misunderstanding okay..." Coop said.
"That is defiantly right Coop and besides let's tone down our fighting power and reduce damage to this city which doesn't need any more damage from either one of us Coop." Perseus said seconds later.
Coop nodded before speaking to the Ultra Cadets, "Yep that's right Perseus and besides, if you four little girls haven't noticed yet, Perseus and I are in gigantic robots and you are in little poofy skirts."
Pulsar just merely looked at the two robots before turning back to her teammates before they all shouted one thing, "Ultra Cadets Away!"
The next thing everyone knew was that the Ultra Cadets all of a sudden shape-shifted into large mechanical versions of themselves which lasted for a minute. The four mech-sized versions of the Ultra Cadets posed in front of Jamie and Alex for a battle.
"How was I supposed to know that they could do that?" Coop asked.
"Dibs on the one in yellow..." Goat said.
While Coop and Perseus were about to get in a fight with the Ultra Cadets while annoyed by Goat's antics, nearby Jaime and Alex tired to get the mechs they were in up and running.
"Come on, get up..." Jamie grumbled to himself.
"Yeah, get up you useless piece of tin scrap!" Alex shouted seconds later.
Coop on the other hand was trying to figure out how to diffuse the situation which he unintentionally caused in one shape or another. Perseus on the other hand thought of the same thing as well.
"All right, let's just calm down here. Perseus and I aren't looking for a fight okay, we're just here for Jamie and Alex." Coop said to the Ultra Cadets.
"Then you've come to the wrong planet fatty and you too brainless chump..." Pulsar said.
These remarks enraged the two Megas pilots, but at first they were on defense mode as two jumped out of the way of a pair of downward punches by the mecha versions of Pulsar and Nova.
Coop again tired to reason with them and spoke, "Look, neither Perseus nor I want to fight you girls. Why can't any of you see that?"
His words fell on deaf ears as the Ultra Cadets tried again to attack the Megas team which for the first few minutes was spent on the Megas duo blocking all the punches the Ultra Cadets kept throwing at them with the last set pushing the two alien-built mechs backwards. Goat just merely clapped in Perseus' mech while the whole fiasco was going on.
"We'll break both of you two in two pieces each..." Pulsar said at the Megas team.
After all of them said yeah, the Ultra Cadets in their mech forms attacked the Megas team which a combined punch attack sent the duo flying backwards several blocks causing the duo to wreck a few buildings and knocking the team down on their rears.
"Great work Ultra Cadets..." Pulsar said while the team admired their handy work.
Before they could celebrate, the two Megas mechs got up with both pilots clearly pissed off beyond belief who the two pilots decided one thing; if reasoning and being nice guys weren't going to work, and then they'll have to use physical force instead.
Coop then said his signature rant, "All right, that does it! You transforming, Girl Scout super freaks interrupted my quality junk yard time, kidnapped Jamie and Alex, gave Perseus an unneeded headache, and made me miss second lunch. Oh, it is on now."
"Actually, I want dibs on the one in purple..." Goat said from Perseus' mech.
"Goat, unless you're dialogue is going to help here, I suggest you keep you damm mouth shut and man the digital computer in the back seat..." Perseus said with annoyance in his voice.
After Goat was silenced and while Jamie and Alex continued to struggle with getting their mechs up, the two Megas mechs began their attack with Coop flying forward and grabbing the mech versions of Galaxia and Nova, slamming them into the ground.
Seconds later, Perseus cocked his mech's left arm back, formed a fist, and launched the punch towards the mech version of Comet using a rocket engine to add more power to the punch before delivering a half a dozen punches to add more pain before topping it off with a right upper cut punch to the mech.
While Coop was brushing his mechs hands off, Perseus turned his mech and saw the mech version of Pulsar do a odd arm and hand gesture before it created an energy heart that fired at the Megas duo which confused Coop and Perseus along with Goat and Kiva before it was shown to be a weapon that caused an explosion that knocked the two Megas mechs backwards a bit.
Nearby Jamie tired to stop the fight by speaking, "Hey its cool we know them…they're my sidekicks."
"Dude, I admire that you're trying to stop the fight, but lose the lying part!" Alex shouted as he nearly got his mech upright along with Jamie.
While Jamie and Alex tired to stop the fight, Coop and Perseus continued to fight against the Ultra Cadets as the mech version of Comet pulled out a pair of daggers, ran forward, and threw them at the Megas duo forcing Coop to dodge the attack though it scratched his robot while Perseus did the same though he was able to avoid any hits.
Seconds later, the mech version of Galaxia used cannon which took the form of a pony tail that fired laser shots in rapid-fire succession. This at first didn't bother the two Megas mechs, but then an energy build-up happened and an explosion happened. The next thing the Ultra Cadets saw was the two Megas mechs charging towards them and in rapid succession, they got hit by the duo.
Coop delivered a kick to the mech version of Nova and a punch to the mech version of Pulsar while Perseus gave the mech version of Comet a twin-drill punch attack before helping Coop to deliver a sweeping kick using the left leg of his mech to the mech version of Galaxia.
Just then, Coop tired to deliver a punch to the mech version of Comet that had gotten back up along with Perseus when the Ultra Cadet dodged which caused the mechs that Jamie and Alex were driving to get hit instead causing them to fly away from the city.
"Oh brilliant..." Perseus grumbled in annoyance.
All four Ultra Cadets just screamed one thing, "Coop! Perseus!"
"Whoa..." Coop said.
The two mechs controlled by Jamie and Alex flew all the way to the very volcano that the Kurdock had fallen into, but thankfully Jamie and Alex were able to prevent themselves from falling in which wouldn't last very long unless Coop and Perseus saved them.
"Sorry Jamie and Alex!" Coop shouted after seeing the two mechs fly away.
"Don't worry you guys, we're coming!" Perseus shouted seconds later.
Before the two could take off, both Megas units were held down by all of the Ultra Cadets preventing them from leaving which frustrated the Megas team greatly as they were getting really tired of their antics.
"These chicks rock the house!" Goat shouted from Perseus' mech.
"Goat, seriously man..." Perseus grumbled out loud.
"Coop, Perseus; both of your mechs are losing power in engines three to nine." Kiva said to the pilots.
The mech version of Pulsar shouted at the mech duo, "None of you are getting your hands on Coop or Perseus!"
Perseus then let out a frustrated shouted before speaking, "Look, I don't have time for you ladies! I'm trying to save those two along with the real Coop."
"Yeah so let go and I'm the real Coop and the guy next to me is the real Perseus!" Coop shouted.
The two Megas mechs were then able to shake off the Ultra Cadets and flew over in a race against time to save Jamie and Alex from being killed. Back at the volcano, Alex and Jaime could hear the groaning metal sounds as the grip on the rock was failing which prompted Alex to tell Jamie that if they die, he's blaming him for this. At the very last second, both Coop and Perseus managed save them by grabbing the mechs Jamie and Alex were in and pulled them up putting them on solid ground.
"Coop, Perseus; we're coming..." The Ultra Cadets said at once.
The four mech versions of them then landed near the two Megas mechs which Coop discovered along with Perseus that the barely could keep fighting which Coop made it clear.
"I don't have any power left to fight."
Perseus nodded and spoke, "Same here, I can barely last another round with those ladies Coop."
Nearby, Jamie looked at the Ultra Cadets which he didn't realize until now symbolized the life of lies which in comparison to the two Megas mechs, represented truth. Wanting this whole mess to end, Jamie spoke the truth much to the relief of Alex.
"Stop! I'm not Coop and the guy next to me is not Perseus!" Jamie shouted.
"What?" Pulsar asked.
Pointing at the two Megas mechs, Jamie showed the Ultra Cadets the real Coop and real Perseus which made Alex think hopefully it was all over as he soon spoke up to put an end to this mess he caused.
"The guy piloting the blue mech is the real Coop and the one in the black and silver mech is the real Perseus; the real guys you wanted."
The Ultra Cadets took a closer look at Coop which they saw his sweating pits, his big gut, and his plan appearance. They looked at Perseus who saw his sleeveless gray Megadeth shirt, his USA flag tattoo on his left shoulder which he had to ask which took time to get, muscular frame, and his mechanic appearance due to him working at an auto shop.
"You two are Coop and Perseus?" Pulsar asked.
"Hey guys, I'll give each of you two five bucks if you tell them I'm your sidekick." Goat whispered to the duo.
"Shut it!" Perseus shouted.
The mech version of Pulsar looked at Jamie and Alex before she spoke, "Deceivers!"
Before the Ultra Cadets could pound Jamie and Alex, Coop and Perseus got in front of them and Coop spoke, "Hold on there, Jamie maybe a lying creep, but he's still my friend and Alex was just dragged into this. Besides, no one beats up Jamie, but me."
After finish speaking, Coop directed his mech and proceeded to start smashing the hell out of the mech Jamie was in though Jaime was lucky that Coop was going easy on him. Alex on the other hand merely got out of his after fiddling with the controls which Perseus picked him up and brought him to the cockpit/car which he got in and took his place in back seat.
"Well, they did rid our world of the Kurdock. Go! And don't ever come back!" Pulsar shouted.
"Be right with ya ladies..." Coop said.
"Really, how did the Kurdock get defeated may I ask?" Perseus asked.
Alex explained that they just merely led the creature to the volcano which it fell in which Perseus asked the Ultra Cadets as Coop continued his assault on Jamie without missing a beat.
"Did you kill it for good?"
Just then, a roar was heard and the Kurdock came out of the volcano which prompted the Ultra Cadets to flee along with Coop dragging the mech that Jamie was in along with the mech that Alex flew in though the Ultra Cadets did that part.
To everyone's surprise, Perseus just stood there facing the monster and spoke to everyone, "I got this."
Before anyone knew, Perseus activated the energy swords on his mech which were like Coop's, but they were bluish colored and charged forward. Dodging a punch, Perseus steered his mech away, stabbed it in the chest wounding it; he then sliced off the left arm, and then stabbed both swords into the head ripping the head in half killing the monster before he also disemboweled the monster for added measure.
"Now, it's gone for good..." Perseus said.
A few hours later and on the planet, the sun had set and the Kurdock had been killed for good. Inside Coop's mech, Coop asked Jamie something once he was on board.
"How come you told them you were me and Alex was Perseus?"
Jamie shrugged and spoke, "Dude, they're space chicks and I'm weak besides."
"Jamie when we get back to Earth, I'm going to kick you in the ass for little stunt you pulled and for dragging Alex into this mess along with giving you a kick in the balls as well..." Perseus said.
"Among other things..." Kiva said with annoyance.
The two Megas mechs then left the planet and headed back to Earth leaving the Ultra Cadets and the mechs Jamie and Alex piloted behind. Once they had left, the Ultra Cadets went and proceeded to rebuild the dome that Coop broke.
"If I had to pick, the pilot of the blue mech Coop is the brute of the group while his friend Perseus of the black and silver mech is the brains of the group..." Comet said as they walked to the city.
"But Perseus looked rather hot and cute." Nova said while giggling a bit.
All of them agreed on the first bit except for the other bit on Perseus and after clearing the misunderstanding, the Ultra Cadets had a few new allies including Kiva who they took a good shine to.
The mechs that Jamie and Alex flew would be repaired and they two parties arranged to have Jamie and Alex trained to get more mech piloting experience along with the Ultra Cadets offering to help fix Kiva's Earth Collation mech and the Time Drive device which Kiva accepted.
Back in deep space, the two Megas mechs sailed calmly through the stars heading for home which made Perseus excited because he had gone past Earth for the second time along with Alex.
"Man I get to be a hero and Perseus steals the lighting..." Jamie said.
"Hey it's not that I don't believe you, it's that I don't believe you and can't believe that you would lie to me Jamie..." Coop said with disappointment in his voice.
Kiva then spoke, "A fire breathing monster, is that the best you could come with Jamie and it put the Megas Mark 2 through more battle experience."
"I'm serous sort of..." Jamie replied defensively.
Goat from the Megas WBM spoke, "A real hero aside from what Perseus did was to be able to get some digits."
Goat held up a card that had Galaxia's name and number on it which Goat then spoke to Perseus and Alex, "You two also got digits or phone numbers as well I'm I not right?"
Perseus could only blush slightly as he drove which Alex looked at the card that had Nova's name on it along with her number in the cup holder near him along with Comet's name and number along with her friend Pulsar's name and number which everyone laughed along with Coop joking about digits as they headed home...
A/N: another Chapter of this Fanfiction which I want to address one thing; a few of the endings of Megas XLR Ididn't like not because I think Coop is evil rather, it has to do with the fact that Coop doesn't fully take into consideration the consequences of his actions.
Don't worry though; there will be comical moments like in the show to balance things out. The next chapter brings us a familiar enemy Coop, Kiva, and Jamie faced, but not Perseus so he'll be in one tight spot.
The Kurdock's death was based a bit on the Decepticon form of Grindor from the worst of the Michael Bay Transformers films; Revenge of the Fallen.
