Authors Notes- And look what we have here I finally got around to updating one of my Mirrorverse fanfics. Sorry it took so long, life got in the way lol. But I am finally back so here is Chapter Two of Until I Break You.
I hope you enjoy.
Chapter Two.
To say that Bulkhead was disappointed would have been an understatement. As the green wrecker plowed head on into one of the Decepticon forces many Vehicons. He had hoped he would have at least stumbled across Breakdown or any of the others. Hell, he wouldn't have minded going against Knock Out or even Starscream even if they weren't much of a challenge compared to his long time rival. But nooooo, he and the others were stuck fighting these faceless, mindless drones.
Letting out an annoyed groan he transformed and loomed over the already damaged Vehicon as Arcee and Cliffjumper joined him. As several more Vehicons arrived to aid their fallen comrade. All the whiles humans scurried away from the scene unfolding before them, like the vermin they were. Bulkhead smirked as he missed stepping on a terrified mother and her equally terrified, wailing child. Emphasis on nearly missing.
While others humans ended up getting crushed under the tires of Bumblebee as the scout joined them, and transformed. Blood splattered on his chassis, obviously the scout had lagged behind to snuff the lives of several of Earth's inhabitants before joining them. Bulkhead shook his head as the smaller Autobot moved to join them, optics narrowed.
"So, what?" Cliffjumper asked, with a shrug of his shoulders, a cocky grin on his face plate. "The 'Cons too cowardly to come fight us so they send the cannon fodder?"
The wounded Vehicon grunted. Energon spilling from its various wounds in its chassis. "Wh-why would the Decepticons waste their time with the likes of you? We're more than capable of taking you on."
That earned a bark of laughter from Bulkhead, as he took a step towards the group of Vehicons, the Vehicons tensing as the group of Autobots advanced on them. All of them completely unaware of the human girl looking on in awe.
Things had been quiet for a while. It almost seemed like the Autobots had disappeared off the face of the Earth. At least that is what the Decepticons had thought, so when they had gotten an alert that there was Autobot activity Starscream nearly jumped out of his armor. Before turning to the Nemesis' many screens, watching as Soundwave typed away at the console, as he and Megatron joined the TIC.
"Autobots?" Megatron asked, hands clasped behind his back, optics narrowed. Soundwave nodded, wordless as always.
"Where?" Starscream asked.
Soundwave turned to face the two and pointed to the location which was Jasper, Nevada. From what Starscream knew this was one of Earth's many smaller towns that were peppered throughout the planet. Why of all the places on Earth would they choose to attack there?
"I wonder what they're doing? What they're after?" Starscream mused, hand on his chin.
For three years since the Autobots and Decepticons had arrived on Earth the Autobots had been silent. Had been keeping their scuffles to places away from human populated areas. And now, Megatron scowled, a small sliver of fear forming in the warlords chest as all fears filled his head. Fears he had expressed to their human liaison Agent William Fowler. How Megatron's old friend would stop at nothing to rule over Earth. And in this quest to do so he would crush anyone who stood in his way, be it Decepticon or human resistance. But despite that the Autobots had been quiet. Occasionally the Autobots and Decepticons would fight over Earth's energon supplies, but otherwise things had been quiet.
And now, Megatron thought, lip plates curling back, as he saw numerous Autobot signals on the screen. It seemed like the Autobots were finally going about with their initial plan, and this Jasper, Nevada was going to be the first casualty in a war Megatron and his Decepticons had spent millions of years fighting.
Gritting his denta once more as he turned to Starscream, his SIC looking to him, awaiting his orders.
"Starscream I want you to take Airachnid and Soundwave to intercept the Autobots." Megatron ordered.
Saying nothing Starscream nodded, before turning on his heel and leaving, Soundwave following after him, silent as ever. Megatron watched as they left, leaving him to his thoughts.
Orion, he thought. What are you planning? The silence was his only answer, as he turned away from the screens, and walked away. Knowing full well that this attack was the first of many...
Anticipation gripped Starscream's spark as he, Airachnid, and Soundwave ground bridged to Earth. Optics scanning the area. Taking in the sight of the small town, noting that several of its buildings were smoking, ruined messes, bodies of humans littered the ground. Blood splattered on the asphalt and walls.
By the Allspark, Starscream thought. Airachnid moving to stand beside him, her purple optics also taking in the chaos. A scowl on her face plate. The trio of Decepticons didn't utter a word as they moved through the ruined remains of Jasper, until their audios picked up the tell-tale sound of fighting. Transforming they headed in the direction the sound was coming from, until they came across the sight of four very familiar Autobots,
Transforming once more they watched as the last of the Vehicon patrol was decimated. Their bodies laying scattered at the feet of Bulkhead and the rest. The Autobots optics then settled on the trio of Decepticons.
"Well, well," Bulkhead drawled, the corner of his mouth plate turning upwards. He pounded his fists together. "Looks like Megatron finally decided to grow a spine, and give us a real challenge."
"Though..." Arcee added, Optic brow arched as she looked to the 'Cons. "I don't know how much of a challenge." She said, smirking.
The comment earning a low growl from Airachnid as the female Decepticon wasted no time lunging at Arcee. The blue femme was more than ready as she tackled Airachnid to the ground, her fist connecting with Airachnid's face plate. While Soundwave was left to contend with Bumblebee. Who much like Arcee lunged at Soundwave. A move Soundwave had anticipated as the silent 'Con blocked the scouts blows.
Grabbing a hold of Bumblebee's clenched fist and twisted his arm, and was rewarded with a pained beep from Bumblebee. Who placed a well aimed kick to Soundwave's mid-section, causing the 'Con to buckle over. Wrenching his arm free Bumblebee glared at Soundwave before driving his fist into Soundwave's visor. Cracking said visor. Before knocking Soundwave to the ground. Thankfully Soundwave wasn't someone who went down easily as he slowly got to his feet. Tentacles extending and shooting to where Bumblebee. Who quickly dodged out of the way as they embedded themselves in the wall behind him.
As both Airachnid and Soundwave were preoccupied with them Starscream was left with both Bulkhead and Cliffjumper, the two Autobots glaring at him. Swallowing thickly Starscream took a couple of steps back, optics darting from one Autobot to the other. Just his luck that he would have to take on two Autobots. But no matter, he thought as he gritted his denta, as he fired on the two of them. His blast hitting Bulkhead square in the chest, before turning his attention to Cliffjumper, he would do what he could to protect the humans from the Autobot threat.
Even if it cost him his own life. Growling Starscream's talons sliced into Cliffjumper's side, spilling energon as the red Autobot cried out. Hand clamping over the wound, energon spilling from between his fingers as he glared at Starscream. Growling Cliffjumper fired on Starscream the seeker darting out of the way as Cliffjumper's blasts hit the building behind Starscream.
The building crumbling from the blasts as Starscream returned fire. His blasts hitting Cliffjumper in the chest plate, sending him tumbling to the ground, crushing a car underneath him as he fell. Groaning Cliffjumper picked himself up, more energon spilling from the wound in his chest. Growling Cliffjumper glared at Starscream once more, a look that soon melted away, and in its place a smug smirk.
Confusion etched on Starscream's face plate at this. Confusion turning into fear when he heard the all too familiar sound of a blaster warming up. Turning around he came face to face with Bulkhead's blaster, and the grinning face of the wrecker himself.
"Well," Bulkhead said. "It looks like your luck has just run out, Screamy."
As he said that Starscream felt fear grip his spark in a vice grip. This, Starscream feared, was the end of the road for him...
Miko stood there petrified, honey colored eyes fixed on the scene before her. She knew she should be running, like many other people had already did. And yet, here she stood watching the carnage unfold before her. This obviously wasn't some movie set she had somehow stumbled across, and she was most certain that technology wasn't that advanced to create machines like this yet. Hell, Miko was certain the only way for giant, walking, talking machines to exist was in some anime. Or a dream, and she was certain she wasn't dreaming if the countless times she pinched herself was any indication.
So, as far as she was concerned this was all real. And it seemed like Big Green and his buddies were the bad guys if what she had overheard was any indication. And it seemed that the new arrivals, a thin silver one, a dark purple one that seemed to be female, much like the little blue one and pink one she was fighting with.
And then there was the silent, faceless blue one. At least, Miko thought, biting down on her bottom lip as she poked her head out from behind the dumpster she had taken cover behind. She hoped they were good guys. For all she knew that this was a turf war between two different fractions of giant robots on who would dominate Earth and wipe humanity off the face of it. However, Miko remained unconvinced. Something told her that was not the case. She continued to watch as the battle raged four to three, her eyes immediately fixing on the battle between the thin silver one and the big green one and his horned buddy.
She had to admit the little silver one was doing pretty good on his own. That was until Big Green got the drop on him when he was distracted by the horned one. Miko's heart leaped into her throat as she saw the tell-tale glow in the barrel of the green ones blaster. A sure sign that he was about to blow the silver ones head off. And before Miko could even think on it her eyes immediately settled on one of the many cars that had been left abandoned during the chaos. Thankfully, the owner was nice enough to leave the door unlocked as she jumped into the driver seat. Once again thankful that the previous owner left his or her car keys still in the ignition. Not that Miko knew how to drive, but how hard could it be?
She wanted to help, needed to help. Don't ask her why though, she just felt compelled to do so. Give the silver one more of a chance. Gripping the steering wheel in a white knuckled grip as she slammed her foot down on the gas, and aimed for the big green bots foot. Slamming full force into it. Not enough knock the big guy over but certainly hard enough to startle him, causing his blast to go wide, barely missing the silver ones head.
Miko released the breath she had been holding. As she rested her forehead against the steering wheel, trying to gather her nerves. However before she could do that she peered out through the cracked windshield, and found the big green one glaring down at her. His face plate contorted into an angry scowl. Miko's eyes widened, wasting no time jumping out of the car as he lifted it up, and tossed it away, before turning to Miko.
Miko swallowed as she found herself trapped, her back pressed against a brick wall as his hand closed in on her. Squeezing her eyes shut as she waited for her life, one she had yet to live, to be cut short...
