Heyo to TitanGuest912, first, thanks for your review, and it's actually better that you are not a writer, that means I have the reader's perspective on things.
Also regarding Chichi, I'm unsure if I should give him an origin but I'll certainly reference his past, but in the end he's pretty much a character I can add to chapters that I find boring such as the previous chapter, I feel that I have given a hint of his goals, guy just enjoys being a villain, and gets along with Shigaraki.
After that interesting first hour at UA, Izuku was surprised to find that the rest of the classes were surprisingly mundane, except for the fact that these subjects were taught by heroes, even the lunch was made by a hero.
"Give me your spiciest dish!" Bakugo commanded the poor hero, and when he began foaming at the mouth at the sheer level of spice, he grinned and gave a thumbs up.
"Dude, he's straight up masochistic" the blond known as Kaminari leaned over to the redhead, now known as Kirishima.
"So manly" Kirishima responded with stars in his eyes.
"I'll have what he's having" Kirishima asked with a smile.
"Jesus Christ, what's wrong with you kids?" Lunch rush gasped as he added more pepper.
Meanwhile Izuku sat with Ochako and Tokoyami he was tucking into a nice Katsudon, and Ochako was stuffing her face with all the cheap food she could get, though unexpectedly Tokoyami seemed to be eating a seafood linguine with a uncharacteristic smile.
"What a day huh? I still don't have a read on our teacher" Ochako laughed while Izuku tried to think of a response.
"He seems to have a particular way of teaching that I find rather enjoyable" Izuku's wraith appeared next to her, instead of recoiling, Ochako smiled and continued to talk.
"You have a point, I was so terrified of failing so I was using my quirk as much as possible to get a higher score, even used it on myself for the long jump" she recalled, explaining why she did the jump last.
"Oh, was that why you were sick after?" Tokoyami chose this moment to speak up, his presence making the rest of the group flinch since they forgot he was there.
"Yeah, I get nauseous the more I use my quirk, but when I use it on myself, I have about 2 seconds before I...you know, blah!" she indicated by making a sound that had the wraith chuckling.
"Ah yes, I hate when I 'blah' too" it laughed, Ochako could only playfully pout before a voice called out to Izuku.
Turning around he was met with Tenya, who looked down, disappointed.
"I... misjudged you, I thought you were there to distract us, I didn't take your quirk into account and treated you horribly, I wanted to apologize at the exam but that other applicant beat me to you, and afterwards I wasn't sure what to say, so please, accept my sincerest apology, you were the better hero, regardless of your behaviour during the explanation" Tenya bowed at a perfect 90° right angle.
"Oh please don't apologize, I should've stayed quiet, even if my laughter was appreciated by some of the other examinees" Izuku got up and bowed, using his wraith flexibility to get an 80° angle.
"Exactly! You managed to calm the nervous students and I scolded you for it, I should've realised that you had no malicious intent" Tenya bowed lower, getting a 70° angle.
Lunch was a time that Bakugo felt was sacred, a time where one could regain any lost energy and relax,
Unfortunately he wasn't even able to take another bite of his food before he was forced into a conversation with a pair of idiots.
"Hey boom guy! If a rooster laid an egg on a mountain, which side would it roll down?" A blonde with a lightning streak in his hair asked as he argued that it depended on where it was layed, but no matter what answer he gave, it was wrong.
Meanwhile Kirishima was holding his sides laughing, although he was drinking a fair share of cold milk between giggles.
"You idiot! Roosters are male, they don't fucking lay eggs" Bakugo spat, at this point the redhead doubled over.
"I had him going since we got changed back into our school uniform" he began to cry in laughter as Bakugo shoveled more spicy goodness into his mouth.
After going from obtuse to acute in bowing, Iida joined the group at the table.
"I must ask Midoriya, that other examinee, the one that claimed you stole his points, were his accusations valid?" Iida voiced, he wasn't able to see much of the examinee, though he did notice a few students looking angrily at them.
"I did, I could've failed the exam because of him, yet he didn't care, so I guaranteed his failure" Izuku answered as he ate, the wraith adding it's own thoughts.
"That brute didn't have one heroic bone in his body"
"He didn't deserve to be a hero" Izuku finished, he felt that his words made his table uncomfortable, but he didn't care.
"I won't say your actions were justified, it's not up to you who should and shouldn't become a hero, but I will say, I too am glad he isn't here, he tried to attack me after all, such an excessive reaction, much like that Katsuki Bakugo…"Iida began but Izuku interrupted.
"No Bakugo is far from that guy, that guy was all idiot but strong quirk, Bakugo is much smarter than he lets on, and his quirk only adds to his natural combat ability" Izuku spoke with pride in his voice, Bakugo had proved himself to be the best of both worlds, unfortunately these moments only showed if you were looking for them.
For example, Bakugo had practiced his explosions to the point where even if he used it at point blank range, you wouldn't get burned and it would feel more like a heated punch than an explosion to the face, and Izuku personally knew what it felt like.
"Maybe you should ask him out if you like him so much" Dark Shadow said as it popped out of Tokoyami, causing a loud bout of laughter to escape the wraith's lips.
"Ah yes, it is said that if someone hurts you, that just means they like you and are trying to get your attention" the wraith laughed.
"Ohh now it makes sense, Iida, that guy wasn't trying to punch you, he just wanted to get your attention" Dark Shadow added, causing yet more laughter, even Iida let a powerful exhale leave his nostrils at that and Ochako began to join in.
"Well Izuku watch out, that piece of debris broke your shoulder so it must like you alot" she laughed, joining in on the fun.
"Great, looks like making fun of me is going to be a trend"
"Oh don't worry Izuku she did leave you to fall on your face outside the school before the exam, so it looks like you may have some floating eyes on you" it watched in glee as Ochako began to redden as she tried to explain her reasoning, similar to Izuku who also blamed his wraith for the events leading up to it.
"This is going to be a great school year" Dark shadow said to the wraith who nodded in agreement.
"I am truly blessed to have met you" the wraith held out a fist and Dark Shadow air bumped it.
Meanwhile Tokoyami sat, almost dreading the next few years.
"Two sentient quirks who take dark pleasure tormenting their users, and now they are best friends? Am I in a nightmare?"
"Enjoy the show?" Aizawa asked Toshinori who flinched in surprise.
"What, you think I wouldn't notice you? You clearly have a thing or two to learn about stalking people" Aizawa scolded as he sat on the couch, breathing in his coffee.
"I couldn't help myself, a few of these new students have caught my eye, especially that Midoriya" Toshinori admitted, he had gained an interest in the boy, his heroic actions, the versatility of his quirk.
"He is an interesting one, though I got a feeling he is going to be one of the difficult ones, Nezu and I have agreed to have a meeting with him regarding the activation of his quirk, if you would like to join?" Aizawa offered, although it seemed that Izuku was fine on the outside, there were still worries about what he may be feeling on the inside.
"Thank you, you don't mind" Toshinori agreed, wanting to get a better understanding of the child, especially after reading his file.
Back in the class, everyone sat and mingled while they waited for their teacher, Bakugo was in the middle of another dumb arguement, and Izuku was talking with Tokoyami while their quirks chatted.
However in the middle of this a girl with funny looking ears shot up with excitement.
"No way!" She exclaimed loud enough for everyone to quiet down and listen and sure enough, there were steps that echoed throughout the halls.
"He! Is our teacher?!" The wraith sighed in contempt.
"I AM HERE, WALKING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON"
All Might watched as smiles grew at his presence, although this was the usual reaction, he was always proud that he was able to elicit such a positive energy.
And then he saw Izuku, eyes down, writing in his notebook as if the boy wanted to avoid the symbol of peace's gaze.
This unsettled the man, causing him to fumble a few of his words before he retained control of his ability to speak.
"ANYWAY. ITS TIME"
As All Might gave his speech about the look of a hero, he pressed a button and from the wall, cases came out.
"FOR HERO TRAINING!".
One by one, class 1A revealed their costumes, each having a unique trait that represented their characters. All Might even had to say aloud that they looked cool as heck.
Though there was one missing.
"Why did I agree to a cape? I can't fly" Izuku was already regretting his decision to let the wraith choose his costume as he jogged into the light.
"Its a cloak, for stealth" the wraith emphasized the 'stealth' part as the light hit them.
"Stealth? Yeah right" Izuku rolled his eyes, he was pretty sure the wraith just wanted to look good.
From the feet, Izuku wore dark green combat boots with steel toe caps, his ankle having armour to prevent any attacks to his tendons.
Upward he had armour on his shins, more for combat purposes than armour but it worked both ways.
On his body he wore a thin leather that had more armour plating on the chest and abdomen, and chainmail could be seen on his arms that ended in wrist wraps and gloves with hardened knuckles.
And to top it all off, he had a hood and cloak which would allow both stealth and unnecessary sweating.
"Now this is what I'm talking about, with our strength, your mobility shouldn't be affected" his wraith smiled as it walked next to him.
"Speak for yourself, I'm dying here" Izuku panted as he loosened his armour to let some air in.
"You'll come back...probably"
Heyo, sorry for the slight delay, work is a bitch.
Anyhoo this was originally a different chapter but then I realised that the quirk assessment test and the battle training took place on the same day so looks like we're saving some parts for the next chapter.
So the costume I'm going for and most likely horribly described is talion's armour from Shadow of War, although a bit more modern and a dark green.
I'm not sure if I should bring in the sword and dagger because those tend to kill people and I'm kinda wanting to keep Izuku away from that for now, so it's soul arrows and beating up people.
