Heyo to Ghostmarine51, regarding Chichi, yes you do have a point, Class A has no chance, but you know what they do have? Plot Armour.
Sorry I can't properly respond without showing you, so wait till next chapter, apologies for the lackluster response.
And to Onegeria, sorry for making you wait, enjoy this 5000 word chapter.
Oh and quick drinking game, take a shot everytime I say 'the guy'
Although Class A's thoughts of Bakugo were mostly negative due to his battle trials, this dislike was not shared by all of them... unfortunately for him.
"Dude! Your fight with Ojiro was mega manly, trading blows like Bam! Bam! Pow!" Kirishima excitedly jumped in the air with every attack before calming down with a smirk on his face, "and I thought maybe you'd lose to his 'kung fu' right Kaminari?" Kirishima laughed as he recalled Kaminari's memorable warning.
"Dude I had to warn Bakugo and I was already seeing stars, pretty sure I secured our win by telling him" Kaminari shared his thoughts, and quite unexpectedly, Bakugo chuckled.
"Yeah right, his choice of hero costume didn't tip you off?" Bakugo jeered, though Kaminari didn't seem to take it as an insult.
"Ohh! The costume!" Kaminari facepalmed before he smiled, "so does that make you a panda?" He referred to Bakugo's choice to wear eyeshadow with his mask, Kirishima couldn't help but laugh while Bakugo did the usual.
"What'd you say to me!? I'll kick your ass!" He threatened as he activated mini explosions.
"You want to put on your makeup first?" Kirishima asked, adding to the laughter as he laid his arm around Bakugo, whose eye twitched.
BOOM!
"What did you learn?" Bakugo walked, though he still felt the arm around his neck.
"Well I've learned that there's more to you than simply a hot headed rage machine, I think you may actually have a personality behind your explosions" Kirishima smiled as his skin softened.
"Get the fuck off me!" Bakugo shook and wrestled, but Kirishima hardened his body and was immovable, all the while Kaminari laughed and judging by the slight smile on Bakugo, he wasn't too angry by this.
"I'll let go, if you go to the arcade with us, I got a feeling you'll win us alot of tickets" Kirishima smiled, Bakugo refused at first, but after awhile of shuffling and squirming, he relented.
"Urgh fine, but you're paying"
After bidding farewell to his new friends Izuku was the last on the train, he did his usual and searched up his teacher, finding only a few videos of Eraserhead taking on villains, the fighting was brutal but it was quite impressive given his quirk, Izuku and his wraith made sure to remember some of the moves the teacher employed in his few battles.
getting off the train he then made his way home and smiled when he smelled his mother's cooking from outside the apartment, something which always excited him.
"Oh Izuku, how was your first day" Inko asked as she added the finishing touches to the heavenly meal.
"I told a girl her hair made her look like a hedgehog, then I accidentally touched an invisible girl's chest" he dragged a hand down his face as he recounted his day of unfortunate events
And it really didn't help that his mother's shoulders started shaking as she tried to silence her giggling.
"I assume the wraith had something to do with those" she giggled as she brought over a plateful of food to Izuku.
"It always does" Izuku breathed out before inhaling his food, much to the disappointment of his mother.
"Izuku! You are an animal!" She playfully chided as she chucked a napkin to him while she ate her food as if she was dining with royalty.
"Sorry mom, it's just been a long day" he apologised with a grin.
They ate in a comfortable silence, and it was usually in these silences that...
"Izuku I have a theory, if our soul arrows are more accurate I think we can do more with them, quick! Get changed and go to the beach" the wraith appeared mid bite, causing Izuku to drop some of the hot onto his lap.
"Oh goddamnit!" Izuku dropped his head onto the table both from the interruption and just being done with his wraith, his mother couldn't help but burst into laughs at Izuku and his wraith's antics.
The next day began better than the previous one, Bakugo seemed to either be on another train or had finally achieved invisibility so he wouldn't need to deal with Izuku, both were equally plausible.
However as Izuku approached the street to UA, the sounds of chatter got louder, and when he got to the source of the sound, he wasn't surprised, but he wasn't looking forward to going to school.
"Musutafu Viewer! What is it like being taught by All Might?" The paparazzi practically shoved their mics and cameras in anyone's face that looked like they were going to UA.
"Luckily there is a way to get past them" his wraith hinted with a smile.
The previous day at the beach
Izuku was at the beach, as per his wraith's request.
"You think I can control my soul arrows? Like Snipe with his bullets" Izuku asked, his wraith was referring to the quirk assessment test where Izuku managed to hit the ball without missing despite being over 50 meters away.
"Not as precisely, but I feel that if you can control your arrows, you may be able to...well let's just see if you can control them first" the wraith threw a rock down the beach, just right of Izuku and as Izuku focused on the rock, it felt like time had slowed very slightly, just enough that he was able to aim and fire, hitting the rock.
"So there is a slight nudge in terms of arrows, like a weak auto aim, hmm" the wraith wrote in its notebook as it usually did.
"So what, I'm more accurate? We didn't have to go out just to find that out" Izuku complained about the pointless trip.
"If you can manipulate soul arrows instead of creating them, that means you can manipulate your soul" the wraith explained, but Izuku wasn't getting it.
"These arrows are parts of your soul, instead of creating and shooting parts of your soul as arrows…" the wraith disappeared before reappearing next to Izuku.
"Become the arrow and shoot your soul"
Back to present
Izuku conjured his bow, and aimed it. He had only practiced it a few times before he ran out of power but he did it enough to know how it worked...sort of.
After a breath, he released the string, feeling his soul get pulled into the arrow as he disappeared into it, sailing unnoticed through the air and past the paparazzi and the gate.
This would have been the optimal time for Izuku to reappear, but he was still new to timing and obstacles being in his way so when he reappeared, his momentum kept him going right into the rapidly incoming wall.
Slam!
"Owwwwwww" Izuku groaned as he fell onto the ground, looking next to him, he saw the wraith also on the ground, but for different reasons.
"Hahaha, you stupid fool! You reappeared too late" it laughed while rolling on the ground holding its stomach.
"Better than too early" Izuku felt his face, surprised that nothing was broken.
"Midoriya" a hand appeared above Izuku.
"Have you already forgotten what I told you about quirk usage being illegal?" Aizawa recalled as he pulled Izuku up.
"Sorry, I just didn't want to be hounded by the mob" Izuku apologized.
"Fair reasoning so I'll ignore it this time, but only because you smacking into the wall was ridiculously hilarious and I'm happy I was able to witness it" Aizawa laughed before going stone faced as he turned to address the paparazzi.
"Go to class, papa has to get rid of the rats" Aizawa cracked his neck before he began to speak.
When Izuku got to his class, he was met with Tokoyami and Iida who gave their greetings while Ochako was with the rest of the girls.
But a strange sight was seeing Bakugo actively conversing with Kirishima, Kaminari and even Ojiro.
"If you want I can teach you some open palm fighting styles you can use along with your quirk" Ojiro offered, and surprisingly Bakugo seemed to actually consider it.
But before Izuku could overhear anymore, he was absorbed into his own conversation.
"Did you and your wraith also have trouble passing the reporters? Dark shadow jumped out and scared them off" Tokoyami chuckled but he was also clearly embarrassed.
"What happened to your face? I certainly hope you haven't been picking fights" Iida asked with concern and sternness in reaction to Izuku's red face.
"I used a new ability to avoid the reporters but there's still some kinks to work out" Izuku revealed as he scratched his head.
"New ability?" Tokoyami asked, wondering if he could draw some inspiration for Dark Shadow.
"Oh, you know ho-" Izuku began but quickly stopped talking along with everyone else, the main reason being that Aizawa walked in.
"2 seconds, good" he said as he picked up some files.
"You all did well in your battle trials, Mineta, you left your partner alone and got caught immediately, keep acting like this and I'll have you replaced" he yawned as he gave everyone a quick review of their battle before he let loose a terrible aura of malice.
"Now it's time for you to make a choice that will change the very course of your lives" he glared, every hair on every student stood up in fear.
"Choose...A... Class president" he instructed, immediately losing the fear factor.
"Don't care how, just do it" Aizawa dropped his head on the table and was out instantly.
The class immediately erupted into hushed whispers proclaiming themselves as the best choice, though there were some that were more supportive of others.
"We vote Midoriya, he can teach us so much" Mineta quietly voiced his thoughts, Kaminari agreeing beside him.
Though the support was mostly for self-serving purposes.
"No, I should be class president" Bakugo growled a little too loudly.
"Shhhh, you want to wake up Aizawa-sensei and make him kill us with his mind" Kaminari hissed.
"Everyone, we won't get anywhere with this" Iida stood up and spoke softly.
"We shall put it to a vote" Iida suggested, after some arguments got put to rest, the decision to vote was agreed and paper was given out.
"We should avoid choosing ourselves, we are too busy to be held down by responsibilities" the wraith advised as Izuku wrote down who he thought would be best for the job.
"I also don't want that stress, I couldn't lead a fish to water after all" Izuku whispered, the other students glancing at him before going back to their paper.
Moments later
"How? I would understand 2 votes, but 6!" The wraith questioned exasperatedly as Izuku stood next to Bakugo.
"Vice president!? I'm not working under Deku! I quit" Bakugo stomped back to his seat.
"Well the next in line is...me?" Iida said as he stiffly walked up and bowed to the class.
"We should follow Bakugo's example, we don't have time to deal with this" the wraith said as Izuku held up his hand.
"I'm afraid I must also reject my position, if you want it Kacchan, you can have it" Izuku offered, but the usual.
"Fuck off Deku" Bakugo growled, he wouldn't get the position out of some sort of pity.
"Guess that means Iida is the class president and…Yaoyouozu is the vice" Tsuyu said as she looked at the board of votes.
At this moment, Aizawa rose like a zombie.
"Well glad that's over with, let's continue with class" Aizawa clapped his hands before he began to teach.
"So no murder, that sucks" Chichi pouted as he wore his Pikachu hoody with the ears on the top.
"Why did you choose that? We're meant to blend in" Shigaraki hissed in amused frustration.
"I am, I look too fucking cool to be a villain, watch" Chichi said as he jumped forward.
"Huzzah! I'm a bad guy that'll kill you and your children and use your blood to create a statue" he threatened but when people looked at him, they just giggled.
"Yeah right, a villain would just do it, they wouldn't announce their presence" one of the reporters laughed before turning back to the school.
"See, Pika-power" Chichi laughed, very surprised that it actually worked.
"Ugh, damn you and that fucking hoodie" Shigaraki muttered under his breath.
"So what are we doing after this, wanna drink and break into a bank?" Chichi suggested as he took out a flask and tried to take a swig, but found he was empty.
"No, we need to be focused for tomorrow" Shigaraki replied as he looked at his watch, lunch would be starting soon, that'd be the best time.
Meanwhile Chichi was looking for his back up flask, finding that it was also empty.
Fortunately he had another backup in his back pocket...that was yet again empty.
"And that means you too Chichi" Shigaraki turned to see his friend patting his body like he was on fire.
What about the other in his hoodie? Nope.
"Chichi?"
The one he hid in Shigaraki's jacket?
"Hey! What are you doing" Shigaraki eeped as Chichi felt around his sides till he pulled out a flask"
"Bingo!" Chichi cheered as he downed the flask.
"You seriously have a problem" Shigaraki complained as Chichi let out a belch.
"The only problem is this flask isn't full enough, oh and you guys should order more stock, I've been stealing from behind the bar and it's mostly just water and tea at this point" Chichi joked before confessing his deeds, much to Shigaraki's displeasure.
"You are truly a unique specimen" Shigaraki rasped as he chuckled.
"I do my best" Chichi bowed before he yet again began patting down his body for any other hidden flasks.
"Ugh let's just get this over with" Shigaraki pushed through the crowd and laid his hands on the barrier while Chichi opened his bag filled with bottles containing a familiar red liquid.
"Woah! Your brother is Ingenium!" Izuku was hit with harsh surprise at Iida's family history.
"I'm not surprised that you didn't realise, but how did I miss that?" The wraith facepalmed at its own lack of observation.
"I guess you have high expectations then, being the next in line for the title" Tokoyami spoke with no envy in his voice.
But before Iida could properly reply, a loud alarm sounded, and chaos took over.
"What's going on?" Iida yelled over the multiple screams.
"The barrier's been breached!" Someone shouted, which didn't help as people became more desperate to escape.
"What dumb fuck would attack UA?" Bakugo wondered, Kirishima was already drowned by the swarm and Kaminari was dragged across the windows, leading to a chuckle from Bakugo before his eyes passed Izuku then immediately went back to him.
Despite the panic, Izuku sat, watching everyone with apathy clear in his eyes while they scattered.
Bakugo knew that look, it was a look that rarely appeared on Izuku, but the reason was always the same.
Izuku hated villains for obvious reasons, but there was something else he hated something that usually brought about that face.
The heroes who acted recklessly and resulted in his father's death.
The heroes who failed to capture villains but still smiled for the camera.
The heroes who ran away yet were still applauded for their bravery.
The heroes who did nothing as Bakugo's life was on the line, yet were still celebrated and even moved up in rank.
And now a school of future heroes, reduced to a panicked stampede due to an unseen threat.
"It's the press, they've gotten in" the wraith informed Izuku who stood up on the lunch table, watching as people clambered over others to escape.
For a moment, Izuku looked down at the students with distain in his eyes, a complete personality shift from the usual quiet and nervous Izuku.
"SILENCE!" Izuku shouted as his wraith side grew in brightness.
Immediately everyone stopped moving and looked towards Izuku, more specifically his eyes, their deep green almost seemed to demand the attention of anyone who looked in his direction.
"It's the press, you're in UA aren't you? Act like it" Izuku's voice thundered, snapping just about every student out of their panic.
After saying his piece Izuku jumped down and continued eating his food like nothing had happened while everyone slowly made their way back to their tables.
"Damn Midoriya, you had me shaking for a second there" Dark Shadow cackled as it came out of Tokoyami.
"Yeah, sorry about that, figured that would be more likely to get everyone's attention" Izuku laughed as he scratched his head sheepishly, going right back to his usual self, though Bakugo could see in his eyes that Izuku was simply burying the rage as he always did.
The rest of the day came and went pretty quickly after that, most of the general students didn't appreciate being talked down to by someone of the hero class, though any who wanted to voice their complaints found themselves stuttering when confronted with Izuku's stare.
Eventually the day came to an end and the students went home, but the teachers were left looking at the remains of the gate.
"But why?" Present Mic asked as he scratched his chin confused.
"Is this a declaration of war? Or a gift?" Vlad tilted his head in a similar confusion.
Even though the gate was destroyed the attention was on what was left.
A shiny red clay-like statue of All Might pointing at the school.
"It's very detailed, whoever made it must've spent a lot of time on it, but why leave it here after destroying the gate?" Aizawa wondered as Nezu had his usual stoic face.
"Whoever left this, wanted to confuse us, I'll increase the security and add more cameras just incase" Nezu spoke with a hint of worry.
After everyone got off at their respective stops, Izuku was the last on the train as always, only a few others were on the same cart as him, and so he spent his time browsing the news on his phone.
Unfortunately there was someone else on the train who saw him, and seeing Izuku in the UA school uniform caused them to act.
"You fucking cheat!" A blur passed his eyes and his phone flew down the train, the other occupants saw this and immediately left the carriage.
Looking up, Izuku was confronted with the guy from the entrance exam, and glancing around, it seemed that the few people that were on the train had left him to his fate.
"So how was your first day at UA?!" He asked sarcastically and in an unrestrained rage he enlarged his arm and went for a sweep to hit Izuku's head, however Izuku leaned down the seat and kicked him back into the opposite one with a wraith infused kick.
"Woah calm down! Are you crazy?" Izuku stood up launched himself forward, both his arms glowing as he used his strength to hold the angered guy back, hoping that he could calm this guy before they realised Izuku wasn't strong enough to hold him for long.
"Crazy? I'm fucking mad! You stole my place in UA and now I have to go to a regular high school!" He shouted as he tried to shake out of his grip and grinned when he was able to throw Izuku to the side.
"Crap"
The sound of clothing tearing came very shortly before Izuku was kicked into the train window by the guy's now enlarged legs, he was kicked hard enough to crack the window which knocked any air right out of his lungs.
Before Izuku could properly recover he was struck again, "Do you have any idea what it's like to be stuck in a class of weak quirked losers doing fucking algebra!" He kicked Izuku in the stomach, forcing him on his back where he saw his wraith appear, ready to smack a bitch.
"Don't!" Izuku held up his hand, surprising the wraith.
"What? Why? Don't you want to defend yourself?" The wraith spoke only to Izuku.
"I'm a UA student, I'm not going to use my quirk to beat up a civilian" Izuku explained his sudden quirk related pacifism.
"Yeah that's your reason, not that you're just a weak little bitch" Izuku received another few kicks to his stomach and ribs, each kick radiating in pain, but as they went on, the rage from earlier began to rise.
"You're so pathetic, I can't believe they chose you over me!" He complained as he wound up a mighty enlarged kick, but when he was at his most vulnerable, Izuku sprung up and grabbed his throat before headbutting him.
"I'm not going to use my quirk to kick your ass, because I don't need to" Izuku launched a punch to the guy's face and seemed to stun him for a second.
Taking advantage, Izuku grabbed his shirt again and used it to hold him in place while he reeled back his fist, and slammed it into the guy's face over and over till a satisfactory crack signaled that he had broken the nose.
"Walk away" Izuku growled, annoyed that no one stepped in to prevent this, angry that everyone left him when he was attacked, but he was utterly pissed when the guy enlarged his arm again and moved to attack, Izuku clapped his ears, disorienting him enough to land another flurry of hits to the guys body and face, before kneeing him in the stomach a few too many times, bringing him down to his knees.
"Stay down!" Izuku was willing to let this slide, and would've done so, but as he picked up his phone an enlarged hand closed around him and threw him into the ground.
At this point, Izuku have up on trying to be the better man, he was going to kick this guys ass.
Izuku rolled over, kicking him once again in the stomach before getting up to tackle him, and when their eyes met, Izuku could see the shock in his attacker's eyes.
He couldn't blame him, especially since the guy saw bright green eyes that showed no mercy, no gentle kindness, just rage.
"Wrong choice" Izuku grabbed his head and dropped a heavy fist onto his face.
"Stupid. Fucking. Idiot" Izuku pulled him up so he could knee him with each word, his anger taking over his actions.
Izuku took awhile to stop, and when he did, his attacker just flopped over, still breathing fortunately, though with alot of difficulty.
Izuku caught himself in the reflection, seeing his rage filled glowing eyes scared him enough that they immediately returned to normal shocked ones.
"Oh god" Izuku immediately went to the bloodied and bruised form of his attacker.
"I'm sorry, are you ok?" Izuku asked but only a chuckle escaped the guy's mouth.
"A UA student...beating up a civilian who was doing nothing, you're so fucked, you freak" he laughed heartily.
"Are you aware that there's cameras on this train? One look at that and they'd see the truth" Izuku asked, worried that he may have caused brain damage.
But as he looked to his right, he saw that the cameras were all under maintenance, and then it dawned on him.
Izuku was fairly bruised, but this guy was way worse off, anyone would assume that the more damaged person was the victim.
"If I can't get into UA, then neither can you" the guy said as an innocent grin graced his face.
Izuku began to panic, it was this guy's word against Izuku's, plus it wasn't like the passengers would speak up.
"I was just sitting down, before this brute began to attack me, I tried to defend myself but he was relentless" the guy began to laugh harder as he made up his story.
"Izuku, are you going to let him stop you from being a hero? There may be a way" The wraith said next to Izuku.
"What? No! I'm not going to kill him" Izuku disregarded the idea, accidentally worrying the guy.
"Wait, what?"
"What? No! Remember the sludge villain, he didn't reveal anything about you" the wraith reminded.
"And he was totally catatonic, you want me to do that to this guy, no way!" Izuku refused, continuing to unintentionally scare the guy.
"I think that was because I beat his soul, let me see if I can do anything else, if I can't then we will leave" the wraith suggested, and Izuku was pretty sure that he was already going to be in trouble, might as well probe the guy's mind.
"Fine" Izuku breathed out as he walked towards the guy who tried to retreat but was too disoriented to make any progress.
"Oh don't worry I'm just going to talk to your soul, nothing you can't handle" Izuku's wraith said with more boredom than actual care as it laid his hand on the guy's head.
The soul
And just like that, Izuku was in his mind, and he was disgusted by the images that flew by.
This guy, Saisho Hiretsuna was his name, he was a damn quirk supremacist, he beat down those with weak quirks and was responsible for numerous injuries that ranged from fractures to permanent disability, and this was not the first time he lied to get his way.
"You...did all this? And you think you should've gone to UA?" Izuku asked Saisho, confused by why this guy wanted to be a hero despite his villainous actions.
"Of course I should! My quirk is made for winning!" He replied with a prideful grin that reminded Izuku of Bakugo.
"Saisho was also blessed with a strong quirk, but even Bakugo didn't use it to bring this level of harm to those he considered below him" the wraith explained as it witnessed unnecessary brutality.
"Tell me! How have you gotten away with this?" Izuku shouted as he forced him to answer.
"I have a strong quirk, my teachers knew I was destined for greatness, so they didn't report it, and those weaklings knew what'd happen to them if they spilled the beans" Saisho laughed, Izuku was disgusted by this behaviour, to think that this guy could've been a hero, how many were like him?
"Wraith" Izuku spoke calmly as he looked at that smug grin, the total lack of comprehension of his acts and so... "it's time to test"
"With pleasure" it approached the soul and roughly forced its palm on it causing a bright glow that seemed to emanate from the wraith as it spoke to the soul.
"You serve me, you will remain silent and if you bring harm to anyone else, we will come for you!" the wraith yelled at him as it felt a solid connection form between the soul and Izuku's.
Izuku felt something take place within him, his body began to feel better, like it hadn't just been absolutely hammered by enlarged body parts.
"I swear! I won't hurt anyone my lord!" All the pride and anger was gone from Saisho's face replaced with a pathetic pleading, his eyes going from brown to green.
However despite this, both Izuku's were surprised more by...
"My lord?"
"My lord?"
Back to the train
Although it felt like moments had passed, in reality only a few seconds went by as Izuku removed his palm from Saisho's face, and was surprised to see a glowing handprint on it.
"Get out of our sight!" Izuku barked and Saisho scampered away like a cockroach.
Izuku stood, breathing heavily before he stumbled backwards and fell into his seat, relieved but shocked at what he just did.
"We were able to control him?" The wraith asked as it looked at its palm.
"And I feel better" Izuku felt his ribs, not feeling any pain from the kicks.
"So interacting with others' souls can speed up the healing process, though since you still have that scar, it's not as effective as death" the wraith wrote in its notebook.
At this a tiny spark lit in Izuku's heart, but was instantly smothered by a question.
"Did he call us his 'lord'?" Izuku couldn't help but chuckle a bit at that, perhaps it was the nervous part of him trying to make light of the situation.
"At least he didn't guffaw" the wraith added, causing Izuku to silently chuckle to himself.
When the train got to his bit, Izuku passed by the other people that left him and they didn't even look at him, perhaps out of shame or just apathy, regardless Izuku ignored them as well, opting to just go home and forget about what just happened.
However as he walked, he couldn't help but let his mind ability to 'brand' people was quite powerful, if he wanted to, could he just brand the prime minister of Japan, he could theoretically take over the world, of course he wouldn't but it was entertaining to say the least.
His thoughts then wondered further, if he could hypothetically brand a villain for example, could he...just stop all crime?
Izuku shook his head to get rid of his thoughts, villain or not, taking over people's actions was not easily justifiable nor was it heroic in any sense.
"You are aware I am you Izuku, I know what's going through your head" the wraith appeared walking next to Izuku.
"Then you know that I can't use this ability irresponsibly, I can be thrown in Tartarus for what I've just done, or even for what I can do" Izuku shared his thoughts and fears about his actions.
"That is true, let's just keep this between us and cross that bridge when we come to it" the wraith and Izuku agreed as he walked up the stairs to his apartment.
When he got to the door, he could smell the food being made within and his mouth watered when he opened the door and got a much stronger smell.
"What is that? It smells delicious" Izuku smiled as his thoughts melted away.
"Oh Izuku, it's just another recipe I found, should be ready in a moment" Inko hummed as she used her quirk to grab a distant wooden spoon, once the wraith saw this, another theory popped into its mind.
The moment the food touched Izuku's tongue, he pretty much melted in tasteful satisfaction.
"So how was your day?" Inko asked as she dug into her meal, savouring every bite.
"I was chosen for class president along with Kacchan" Izuku began.
"Oh my, that's amaz-"
"We both rejected the positions" Izuku finished.
"Oh" She deflated upon hearing that.
"The UA barrier was also broken and someone left a red statue of All Might" Izuku added.
"WHAT!?" Inko screeched.
Shortly after calming his mother yet again and eating their food, Izuku showered then went to bed, and as usual, he dreamt that same dream, but this time it was different.
The shadowy villain grabbed Izuku's father, the heroes stood by, the usual story.
But before the villain could harm Izuku's dad, it was grabbed and chokeslammed into the floor, cracking it with the sheer power behind it.
"With my light" Izuku grabbed the villain's head.
"With my power" the wraith grabbed the soul.
"Together we will create the brightest light" They shouted in unison as the shadow turned to light.
"And I will be the Lord that leads it" Izuku said as his eyes glowed.
With the villain gone, Izuku turned and looked back at his father with a smile, but there was no comforting smile nor visible relief that came his way, just fear and disgust.
"What have you done?" He said as he ran away behind the heroes.
"Wait! Dad?" Izuku reached out, but when he saw his arm, it was the same shadow that he had just converted to light.
When he looked back to his father's retreating form for comfort, he was no longer able to see him behind the heroes, who all had their quirks aiming at him.
"There's the villain, get him" they all ran at Izuku and just as the world went black, Izuku shot up in his bed panting and sweating.
"Jeez I leave you to dream alone one time and you have a nightmare, figures" the wraith yawned as it continued to read a magazine.
Heyo, ahhh finally done writing this cursed chapter, so many rewrites!
So explaining how the abilities work is definitely the hardest part of writing this, especially since the games don't explain much except pretty much 'it's wraith powers, just ignore it and punch people so hard they turn to Ice' like how am I meant to realistically explain that?
Anyway sorry for the delay in posting but I'm getting more busy with my jobs so trying to get in the writing zone is difficult, obviously I'll try to at least get to the USJ arc before going on hiatus if it comes to it.
