*Knock knock*

"Come on Naruto... we'll be late if we don't leave soon." Moka knocked on his apartment door, waiting for a response. She knew he was always late to school, and typically she rode her bike to school, but today she felt like taking the walk. It would be fun to go to school with her new friend. She knocked a little harder.

Was Naruto a deep sleeper?

Moka looked around, before she grabbed the knob and turned it... and the front door to the apartment opened, showing Naruto didn't lock it. She instantly closed the door, since she didn't know if it would be okay for her to enter his home without his permission. Even if it was to wake him up, or see if he was ready.

"Moka-chan?"

"AH!" Moka jumped when Naruto came out from behind her, showing he hadn't even been in his apartment. She saw he wasn't wearing the school uniform... he never wore it properly, but this time he was just in sweatpants and a loose fitting jacket. He looked as casual as casual could be, and the fact was that he didn't seem like he was even planning on going to school.

He had letters and a box under his arm.

"... Why are you dressed in your uniform... it's Sunday?" Naruto asked, and he looked Moka up and down.

"Eh?" Moka questioned, and she flipped her phone open, before her mouth fell open a little. She looked at the date, and yes... he was right. It really was sunday, so they had no school for the day. She turned red when Naruto opened his door.

"OW!? MY TOES!"

"Naruto, are you okay!?" Moka shouted in shock when she saw him jump back out of his apartment, and she looked down to see that Naruto was holding his foot. He wore sandles, and currently he had a small red fox hanging off the leg of his pants. Naruto shook his leg back and forth, before he flung the fox off of him.

"Go to bed you dumb little shit!" Naruto tossed the fox across the apartment, and right onto the couch. "... Jeez... that is Kurama, my pet fox... he's a problem. Go to sleep." Naruto watched the fox curl up on a dog bed next to the couch, before doing just that. Moka looked a little surprised by the pet fox. "... Wanna come in?" Naruto asked Moka.

She did, she really did.

"... Let me change clothes real fast!" Moka was still in her school uniform, and it would feel awkward for her to be the only one not casual. Naruto watched her run down to her apartment and enter it. He entered his apartment, before he went straight to the stove and filled a kettle with water.

Naruto heard Kurama shuffle in his bed.

He gave the fox a look.

"You dumb tsundere... if you miss me so much, lick me like a normal pet... don't go nibbling my toes." Naruto complained to Kurama, who just snuggled deeper into his bed. Either not understanding the words, or not caring in the slightest. The door opened, and Moka came into his apartment.

Much more casual, her hair wasn't tied up in the back, and she was wearing comfy looking jeans with a nice shirt. Naruto noted that he liked her hair more when she wore it down, but he didn't comment on it right away. Naruto tossed his mail onto the counter, and opened his box, revealing cups of ramen inside.

"So... you have a pet fox?" Moka looked at Kurama as she stood next to the couch.

Naruto nodded.

"Yeah, and he is a huge tsundere. He nibbles and bites you if he likes you or misses you, and when he doesn't care for you, he just ignores you. He's smart, but a brat." Naruto got the water boiling, and he poured it in a cup ramen. "You want one."

"No thank you, I already ate breakfast... I thought today was Monday." Moka blushed at her admission.

Naruto laughed at her, and she just turned a deeper red when he did. She looked around the room, and she saw... it was kind of messy, but not as messy as she thought it would be. She saw potted plants scattered around the room, empty ramen cups scattered here or there. A TV with a VHS player and a DVD player, and it was on the newer side. There were a couple of dvd cases on top of it, with no real system to keep them organized.

No pictures of family anywhere.

There were also no photo albums of Naruto anywhere either, or any pictures of him from when he was younger. Usually, according to the manga she had skimmed now and again, you were suppose to be able to see that stuff. She tried not to be too nosey, so she didn't comment on it.

"More for me then... wanna watch a movie or something, I didn't really have any plans." Naruto didn't really know what he was suppose to do. He poured the hot water in the cup, but that was about it for his meal prep. He didn't expect Moka to visit him on their day off from school, though she seemed to want to walk to school with him.

That sounded fun.

"That sounds fun... what do you want to watch?" Moka was open to suggestion.

"I'm fine with anything, you pick."

-The Next Day-

'Yesterday was fun... it really just was so much fun.' Moka walked with a skip to her step on the way to school. She looked at Naruto, who walked with wide steps, arms behind his head. She giggled at him, and she walked with even more of a skip to her step.

They entered the school gates, and people took notice of them walking together. When they got to the shoe lockers, Moka noticed there was obvious graffiti on Naruto's locker.

Jump off the roof!
Do us a favor and leave school, freak.
Kill yourself.

Naruto opened the locker and trash fell to the floor.

"That's horrible!" Moka felt her hatred for humans flare up when she saw the way her friend was being treated. They not only told him to do horrible things, but they filled his locket with trash so that it would shower him. He was lucky none of it got on him. Moka heard laughter, and saw some of the faceless bully girls from their class were laughing, mocking Naruto.

Naruto just shrugged his shoulders.

He didn't seem mad.

"Oh well, I don't wear the school shoes anyway, I MUCH prefer my sandles..." Naruto waited for Moka to change her shoes, but she sent the laughing girls a dirty look when she did. "Moka, it's fine. You don't need to get angry about this... this is just some stupid, low-level bullying prank. If they REALLY wanted to make it hurt, they would have been way more personal." Naruto laughed off the bullying.

"Huh?"

"I mean, did you see those girls... I bet they're just jealous of my good looks. My face is downright beautiful... and my hair is silky smooth. For sure, they are super jealous of these naturally flawless good looks." Naruto spoke LOUDLY as he passed by the girls with Moka, running his hand through his spiky hair. As spiky as it was, one could not deny his hair was smooth and his fingers went through it like silk. "I mean... they all have really common hair colors, and super basic hair styles... they're just jealous." Naruto continued to mock them.

Moka blinked, before she snorted, followed by a quiet laugh when she realized that the girls were getting visibly more angry in their body language. The once dark halls of the school started to get a little brighter to her, the aura around Naruto lightening it up.

"I'm a little surprised you didn't punch them." Moka expected him to lose his cool.

"Uh, and get expelled... nah, the reason I issue the challenge for people to challenge me, is so that I don't get in trouble for starting anything... if they start a fight with me, I can get off with suspension at most." Naruto laughed a sinister laugh under his breath. Moka smiled awkwardly, before she got into the classroom with Naruto.

She sat down, and waited for class to start silently.

-The Following Saturday-

'Oh... should I...' Moka didn't know if she was overstepping her boundries as a friend. She was wearing her casual dress with a warm jacket, and pacing in front of Naruto's apartment door. They walked together to and from school every day now, and sometimes would stop and get something to eat on the way home. She even hung out with him last Sunday and watched a movie with him, but he had invited her to do that.

Would she be doing too much if she knocked on his door, and asked him if he wanted to go to the mall, or the park.

She paced for 5 minutes.

Naruto opened the door and saw her there, and she was shocked for a moment.

"Naruto... so... do you have any plans for today?" Moka asked, and she saw him looked at her clothes for a second.

"Well... actually, I was going to... it's suppose to snow tomorrow, do you want to come with me... I need to get some new gloves."

"The cold bothers you... but the other week, you were swimming against the swim club..." Moka was a little confused. She had literally seen Naruto swimming in ice cold water, and how the swim captain had to be literally dragged out of the pool by Naruto. She hadn't thought anything of it at the time, but it was the middle of December.

Moka looked down for a moment.

Only 4 and a half more months until she went to Yokai academy, and abandoned the human school system completely. Moka grabbed onto Naruto's arm with both of her hands, and she changed the subject.

She had to.

"Naruto... do you know where you're going to high school?" Moka asked him with her eyes pleading for an answer.

Naruto looked at her for a moment.

"Well... I don't really know anymore." Naruto scratched his cheek.

His plans... were uncertain.

He didn't have any friends before, so his goal was to conquer all the bests schools and prove he was the best. Now though, he DID have a friend. They hadn't been friends long, but she was the only one who wanted to be friends with him. He didn't want to lose his friend, when he knew the chances of him making another one was slim to none.

"But... it doesn't have to be a human school... right?" Moka got closer to him, pushing the two of them into his apartment.

"Well... no... it doesn't need to be one."

Moka BEAMED at him.

"Okay, okay... that is perfect then, because... if it doesn't NEED to be a human school, then you can come with me to the high school I want to go to right... right?... If you want?" Moka was suddenly very unsure of herself. She was so excited at first, but now she was unsure.

Why would Naruto want to go to a school of only monsters, even if they were all in human form, he would be the only human. There was no way he would ever want to go with her to the school of her choice.

"So, what, you want me to go to a monster school?" Naruto was curious if that was even allowed. "Is that allowed?" Naruto asked her.

Moka sat down on the couch and crossed her arms, her brow furrowing as she thought about it.

"Sure!" Moka really wanted to bring her only friend to school with her. She did know one of the rules was to maintain a human form at all times, so that should make it okay for him. Moka jumped back up, and she rushed towards Naruto. She jumped him then, and there, and wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. "Oh, it will be super easy! There aren't any entrance exams for it, you just need the application! I can get another... oooooh... I am so happy!" Moka heard a popping sound, and she let go of Naruto.

Naruto took a breath.

'AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!' Naruto was sure that Moka had cracked one of his bones with that dangerous hug of hers. She had been so excited, that she couldn't control any limits on her strength. Naruto grabbed his shoulder, and moved it around, before he yanked it back into place. 'Nothing broken, just dislocated.' Naruto sighed in relief. "So, this place..."

"Yokai Academy... it's a school for monsters like me... OH, I bet you could pass for some kind of... something..." Moka looked at his whisker marks. She looked at the green crystal hanging from Naruto's neck. "... and this is the seal on your power!" Moka pointed at the small gem stone that he wore. His only piece of jewerlry that he wore.

Moka clapped.

She showed the rosary on her chest.

"This-"

"Oh, and then we would match... I have my rosary that seals my power, and you can have your necklace that seals your power. You always wear it, so you really could pass for a monster!" Moka was more excited than ever to go to Yokai Academy now that she would be able to bring a friend with her. "I keep my scary vampire side hidden with my seal, and your seal turns you human while you wear it, except for your whisker marks."

Kurama raised his hand up and looked at Moka, the fox narrowed it's eyes at Moka, before he lowered his head and closed his eyes. He kept his ear pointed towards Moka though, and his tail stopped moving completely.

Kurama was now paying CLOSE attention to what Moka was saying.

"Uh, sure, sounds great." Naruto only wanted to go to Konoha academy, because it was one of the best schools. He planned on conquering all of the high schools in the country... but now he didn't know if that was what he wanted to do. '... because... Moka is my friend now... and I don't want to leave her side.' Naruto didn't want to abandon his first friend.

"Where did you get that anyway... I've never seen one like it before?" Moka now, for the first time, realized that Naruto was wearing something that she had never seen sold in a shop. Naruto grabbed it and looked at it.

"'I don't really know... I've just... had it for a long time now.' Naruto thought, since he didn't know when he had gotten it, or why he wore it everyday without fail. He also hated the thought of somebody else wearing it, or anyone taking it from him. Naruto stared at it, before he noticed Kurama was rubbing up against his leg.

The fox yipped at him.

"I guess he's hungry too." Moka laughed when Kurama went to his food bowl.

"Well, if I feed him whenever he gets hungry, he will fatten up. He just likes to laze around all day and do nothing anyway." Naruto didn't care if the fox wanted to eat. It wasn't time for his pet to eat. "Hey, Moka-chan... want to see about renting a foreign movie tonight?"

"That sounds fun, lets do that!"

That night, they rented Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands AND Sam Hamm's Monkeybone.
