Nothing worked.
None of his schemes to get Moka to abandon Naruto and be by herself worked at all, and since she was a rumored Vampire, the only time of the month that he could beat her would be the full moon... which passed 3 days previously and now the moon was no longer full.
"Are you even going to participate in the club?" Gin asked Naruto.
Naruto flipped him off.
"Ghost Member status achieved, I will do nothing, show up when I feel like it, and leave when I feel like it."
"Dude... do some research or do SOMETHING!?" Gin was just as upset that he couldn't pin anything at all on Naruto, as he was the fact that Naruto wasn't doing anything at all. Everyone else was contributing to the club, and the newspaper they would be putting out decently soon for the school to read.
"Meow."
"You aren't a cat!?"
"Kon kon."
"... You might be a fox." Gin deadpanned when Naruto just mocked him. Naruto was wearing Moka's jacket over his face so that he could take a nap. Naruto just moved his legs to scoot across the floor, until he moved under the table, moved between Moka's legs, and rested underneath her chair. "Why do you let him get away with this?" Gin asked Moka.
Moka smiled.
"You do know the more you shout at him, the harder he is going to mess with you... lets just get back to work and make this first issue the best we can." Moka got herself pumped up to continue working towards her goal.
"Hey Gin, do you wanna hear a joke."
"No Naruto, I don't want to hear a joke." Gin sat down at the table with everyone else, and just decided that he would ignore Naruto completely.
"It's a pokemon joke."
"I don't want to hear a joke Naruto."
"I kind of want to hear it, I'm sure it is a good one." Tsukune was all for it. Before Naruto could tell the joke though, the door to the clubroom opened up, and a few boys from a higher year came into the clubroom. Everyone stood up, except for Naruto who had actually fallen asleep once his joke got rejected twice by Gin.
"So this is the Newspaper Clubroom... it's spacious... I believe that it should belong to the Kendo club instead."
"Oh... you think you can just take this clubroom?"
"Yes, I actually got permission from the Chairman, the President, and the Head of the Discipline group... all on the condition that we beat your club in a contest." The Kendo Captain stated as he showed a letter with the signatures of the three people who were involved in the approval of his request.
Moka smiled when they spoke.
She felt a shift between her legs.
Naruto was now awake again.
"Yeah, so if you don't accept our challenge, we win. Of course, it will be a kendo competition, the best member of our club versus the best member of your club." The Kendo Captain stated, and Moka smiled wider when she felt Naruto stir more. She stepped away from him so that he wasn't between her legs.
Gin stepped forward.
Tsukune stepped back so that he was less visible.
"Do you really think you can beat me?" Gin asked the captain with a smirk, since this was the perfect chance for him to look REALLY good in front of the girls. He could use this challenge as a way to show off his power, skill, and his pure masculine energy to Moka.
The Captain smirked.
"Of course I can."
"Gin... actually, I'm pretty sure that Naruto here is the most skilled of us at kendo." Moka spoke up.
"Actually, I think Gin is the best one for this job!" Tsukune knew the truth.
Naruto was human, and letting Naruto go against a monster in a fight was a bad idea. He would rather Gin take care of this, than let his friend who had been protecting him get hurt. Moka smiled at Tsukune.
"No, I'm pretty sure Naruto is-"
"Naruto never fucking does anything, how can he be the BEST at anything, when he does NOTHING all the time!" Gin had enough of Moka complimenting Naruto. He had yet to see Naruto do anything at all that would warrant her having so much respect for him.
Kurumu smiled.
"I actually kind of agree with Gin, other than digging a hole, Naruto doesn't really do anything."
Naruto hopped to his feet with a grin on his face.
"... A challenge you say... and you want to take my clubroom, I mean... if you REALLY want to fight it out, I guess I could kick some ass."
'... There he is...' Moka smiled when she saw a fire in Naruto's eyes. She saw his manic grin in place, showing that for the first time since coming to Yokai Academy, he had a passion for something. She had noticed something was off about him, that he seemed kind of depressed for some reason.
Kurumu backed up when she saw his face.
It terrified her to her core.
Gin even froze in place.
'... That isn't the face of a boy... that's a demon... I've seen that face before... he looks like a demented fox.' Gin couldn't move as Naruto passed by him with that face. He stepped out of Naruto's path, and looked away.
Yukari didn't see an issue.
-30 Minutes Later-
'... He's human... but... how.' Tsukune couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA! Come on, is that the best you can do, what are all of those arms even good for!" Naruto laughed in glee as he blocked 8 strikes from 8 swords back to back. The club captain had transformed into his half-spider yokai form, and was wielding the wooden swords of all of his clubmates at once.
"DIE!"
"You can do it Naruto... Naruto used to take on multiple people at once with swords, so I knew he could do this." Moka cheered Naruto on, but she was the only one who saw his demented face and smiled in response at it.
For everyone else, this was wrong.
Naruto was just some boring, lazy guy who didn't do anything or show much emotion. This sudden burst of emotion, where he actually did something and volunteered himself to fight was wrong to them. It was not the Naruto that they had known.
This was not the lazy boy who slept while they all worked.
"Come on! Do better, maybe the rest of the club can join in! At this rate I'm going to score the final point, before you can even hit me once!" Naruto had yet to let even a single blow through, but he had scored many points against his armored enemy, the armor that Naruto hit so hard that he shattered it in places. "Do better! Hit me! Do your best, get stronger already! At this rate, you aren't worth the title of captain!" Naruto swung and shattered two of his enemy's swords at once.
"You can do it!" Moka called out with another cheer.
She was just happy that Naruto seemed to be happy again.
"Not yet, he has to show me what..." Naruto scored the final point, and sent his opponent flying with it. Instantly, he found himself unsure of what to feel.
Was that it?
Was that the strength of a monster... that was it?
"Damn you Uzumaki... you bastard."
Naruto grabbed the beaten captain by the collar and lifted him up to his feet, and he pulled his fist back to punch him in his untransformed face, since he had regained his human form. The man shrunk back with a yelp, and that was enough for Naruto to let go of him.
"He beat the captain."
'... This really is it... this is the strength of your average monster... this is the strength of the average monster... it's... not even that impressive. He had no skill at all, he just threw his power and speed around like an idiot... do monsters... not even know how to properly fight?' Naruto felt the fire in his eyes go out as he looked at the guy in front of him. He was a monster, but through hard work and determination, he himself had more skill than the monster. He was human, but he was able to go toe to toe against a monster like this and still win.
"You did it, you sure are amazing!"
'... The fuck... can she not sense just how murderous he was then?!' Kurumu backed away from Moka when she went to hug Naruto in celebration for his victory. Kurumu saw Naruto's face return to what she was used to, and she felt herself get comfortable again.
Tsukune wasn't though.
'How did a human beat a monster like... did Naruto lie about being human?' Tsukune couldn't believe his eyes.
"You did it!" Yukari joined in on the hug with Moka.
...
"Yukari, hands ABOVE the waist."
'... Maybe... I shouldn't be trying to get him in trouble.' Gin wasn't sure if Naruto was a S-class like he was, but he could tell that Naruto was unsatisfied by what he had just done.
He had just turned a B-class Yokai into a joke in his human form, which was impressive. If you were unsatisfied by humiliating a B-class yokai, then you were somebody that a person did not need to be picking a fight with, without having some sort of huge advantage over.
Those eyes spoke of nothing but distaste for a disappointing opponent.
Naruto sighed.
'... Fine... I guess I really shouldn't expect much, with how strong monsters are, of course they don't know how to actually use their strength... guess I should just... find something else to do.' Naruto pulled Yukari's hand away from his butt, and pushed both of the girls off of him gently. He rubbed the back of his head, before he grinned at Moka.
She smiled back at him.
He needed to find a new hobby.
