LAST CHAPTER OF AUSTIN'S ADOPTION!

Ages:
Marco: 41
Ace: 27
Austin: 8
Marcy: 4

Relationship status: Happily married!

Now, almost a month later, Ace and Marco were seated inside the orphanage again, without Austin himself actually being in the building. He was in still at school and they were hoping to finish this meeting before it was done.

Minutes after being showed a room to sit, Austin's case worker along with a lawyer took their seat across from them. Going over far to many papers before pointing to a few different places were signatures needed to come, their signatures.

"And what last name will he be taking?" The lawyer asked, looking at the men.

Ace smiled and squeezed Marco's hand under the table before speaking simultaneously, "Newgate.". They had tried carefully and secretly pulsing if the boy wanted to keep his last name or not. If he had wanted to or seemed to have had some attachments to it, they wouldn't have changed it, but to them it seemed like the boy rather wanted to change if he ever found the perfect family.

The lawyer nodded and wrote down the name, showing them both the spelling to confirm before everything else was made in order and handed the different papers over to sign the papers.

"Please do take your time to read it over if you wish." The caseworker spoke softly, fearing the worst since every other family had long since backed out by now or would take time to read and leave when they gave them a minute alone.

But to her big relieve, Ace took pen and signed his name without any hesitation, handing the pen over to his husband, Marco next who also signed on all the different spots.

The new parents were both trying to stay professional but couldn't help the big smiles on their faces as the lawyer gave some remaining info. Both not believing it was finally time, it had been a long time since the very first CPS visit, close to a full year ago!

Once everything was done with the lawyer, they shook hands and got their copies of the files before Austin's case worker helped them gather what little stuff the boy had at the place and thanked them for making sure Austin would a great life.

Stuff secured they said their goodbyes and made for the care, filling up their trunk and driving home in silence. When they got home and got the bags inside, Marco carrying them in, Ace squealed and jumped him the moment he sat them down. "He's coming home! He's our son!"

Laughing along Marco hugged his husband tightly and kissed him, "It's been a long time coming. But it was all worth it, our own son, legally ours now!" He started to cry lightly from emotion and feeling some wet spots on him he knew Ace was crying too.

They didn't know how long they stood together but when they separated, they both had a laugh at each other's faces. Both red swollen eyes and tear marks everywhere yet both still smiling brightly. They shared another kiss before Ace piped up. "Oh Marco! We should decorate! Make a banner, " he made a swooping motion between living room and kitchen indicating the banner would hang right in view when entering "'Welcome home!'"

"Absolutely-yoi. That sounds wonderful."

Getting to work they made the banner and also put up a lot of balloons and flags. Maybe it was a bit too much but...it was for their son coming home! By the time they were done it was already almost the end of school.

"Marco, I'm getting nervous. What if he won't be happy!"

Marco gave a nervous laugh at that, "If he doesn't want to come... I'll bawl."

"I'm already going to cry now" and tears did start to appear as he thought of Austin saying 'no' to staying. His alarm went off, "Oh god, Marco, we need to go!"

Marco looked at Ace and held his hand and swallowed. "Let's go pick up our son-yoi." Kissing Ace before going out to the car followed closely by Ace.

Walking out of the school, Austin instantly started looking for Ace and Marco, the lady had told him he would be staying over again. She didn't say how long though, he would need to ask them later.

He quickly spotted them and started walking to them, only to turn into a jog as he got closer, "Ace! Marco!" He smiled at them only to have his expression drop seeing their faces, "Is everything okay, you... You guys look like you've been crying, is anything wrong?"

Both wiped over their eyes, "No, no, nothing's wrong, don't worry. Ehm so, Marcy is in daycare until later. Is there ehm anything you would want to do before going home? Any shop you want to go to, or maybe the arcade or something?" Ace suggested.

Austin stared at them and blinked, going somewhere? He could choose to go somewhere? "...Can we go to the arcade? I've never been there..." He said eventually after thinking, maybe with a bit too much excitement but both adults didn't seem to mind and both nodded.

"We can go there-yoi."

Ace ushered Austin into the car and they quickly drove off. Ace was telling him all about the place in the car "and they have lots of games like racing and shooting, ooh but they also have those claw games, those are fun, but rigged, always rigged and-"

"Ace-yoi, calm down, at this rate Austin will know the whole floorplan before we get there."

Ace laughed and looked back over at Austin whose eyes were wide with excitement. "A claw game?! I've seen people play those! They have all sorts of stuff in them you can win right?!"

Shaking his head, Marco laughed, the boy was just as excited as Ace was the first he took him to an arcade.

Marco's words forgotten, Ace turned in his seat at Austin's excitement and started telling him about all his wins and losses over the years at them and telling how Marco is actually really good at them, saying it's a doctor's precision gift. Their conversation only stopped because Marco got out of the car and they realised he was already parked in the underground parking lot of the big city mall, the arcade being on the first floor of it.

Ace got out and opened the door for Austin to get out and he practically jumped out, and quickly followed Marco.

"Austin, elevator-yoi!"

"Got it!" Even if they hadn't done this before, Austin somehow knew what they meant, or just really wanted to go ahead, and jogged to the elevator, pushing the buttons so that it just arrived at their floor the moment Ace and Marco got there.

Inside Ace lifted Austin so he could press the right number.

Marco snorted at how excited Ace was to come too as both rushed out the moment the doors of the elevator opened again, seeming to have forgotten why they are even here. Oh well, if both had fun, why not. Though, in his thinking it seems that he hadn't been walking fast enough, for Austin ran back for him and grabbed his hand pulling him forward as the boy almost ran to the bright lights around the corner.

Only laughing at it he let himself be pulled along by the boy.

Getting to the place Marco went off to the clerk to get both Ace and Austin a card for the place. You bought a card from the clerk and could then put on money on it to swipe on the machines and play. He made sure there was enough on both of them so they could enjoy themselves, but still keep it reasonable. He did make a card for himself, not wanting Ace to complain he's just watching, but he didn't put as much on it as for theirs.

He quickly found them again, checking out claw game prizes, he rolled his eyes at it because of course they were there. "Yoi, I got you two cards. Ace you know how it works. Austin, there's currency on here that works on all the games and claw machines. You just swipe it over the little boxes attached to them and then you can play." He handed him and Ace their cards but grabbed Ace by his shirt before he could usher Austin somewhere, "Now. I do please ask to keep the claw games for last, otherwise we'll be hauling around prizes while trying to play games. And these eat through everything on that card too no matter how much you put on."

Ace laughed at his husband, "Fiiiine, claw machines last." He then looked at Austin "What do you want to play first?" He asked before ushering him off to look at the different games when the boy didn't know what to pick.

He played a few games with Ace close by when they stumbled upon the games you can play with two people, it made Austin turn around to ask Marco to play with him, but he wasn't with them "Where's Marco?"

"Hmmm? Oh ehm... Somewhere... " Ace scratched his neck "I always get absorbed in this and lose him"

Austin frowned a bit a bit at that, "I'm going to search for him." He turned around and started to look for him, luckily already finding him close by and jogged to him. The blond seemed to be inspecting the different machines that said 'new game!' on them.

"Marco! Do... do you want to play a game... with me?" He started excited but trailed off, fidgeting with his fingers, maybe he didn't want to play with him and that's why he was checking out the new games.

However, a happy smile greeted him and arco nodded, "Sure-yoi."

The smile the boy gave back was huge, it made him reach a hand out to ruffle the curly hairs, "You pick one, Austin."

Austin nodded and walked with him back over to Ace who was looking at a shooting game. "Sorry Darling." The raven said looking over at him and rubbed the back of his neck.

Marco rolled his eyes and smiled at his husband. "Are you sure you're 27 and not 10?".

"Haha, I know, I know. I was just excited!"

"As always. Hmm? Which one Austin?"

"Can we play that one?" He pointed to a racing game not far away, there were actual car seats to sit in, how neat.

"Sure." Ace said looking at the boy who... blushed?

"Uh... I... I was asking... Marco..."

Grinning Marco stuck his tongue out to his husband and took Austin's hand, leading him to one of the seat. Helping him get in it and adjusting it to his size before sitting down, both swiping their card to pay.

Ace stood between them to watch them, his husband wasn't really good at these games, but he still enjoyed them. He watched the duo play a game together, and another one after, and another... He was very happy that Austin and Marco got along well. Both also seemed very happy. Austin not minding in the slightest that Marco wasn't any good at any of the games. But... Was this how it has always been for Marco? Watching how Marcy and him do things a lot together while the blond just... Watches... He felt a tiny bit bad, only now seeing it the other way around, realising it is what had been going on. Above that he had also needed Austin to figure out that he left Marco alone again in this place, he really needed to up his game! He would make sure to watch out for both these things more! Even if he's sure Marco's never blamed him or been mad at him, his husband deserved better!

Still smiling he watched both his husband and son enjoy the games, not telling Marco that when he won, Austin had been making mistakes on purpose to let it happen. He chuckled as they started another game and Marco's card didn't process due to insufficiency funds, he realized that Marco didn't put the same amount on his card has he had done with them. So as he saw the blond look confused that he already went through his funds, Ace reached for his own card and bent over, swiping it over Marco's side.

With a smile and 'thank you' in return, they were soon on their way again. A few minutes in he suddenly felt a pull at limbs and quickly took a seat in the gaming module next to them, it wasn't busy anyway and there were enough other racing games to do so he didn't feel bad of hogging one. He barely sat down before his head dropped and the card he just used slipped from his hands to drop at his feet. At least he was able to sit down and not fall, he wouldn't interrupt their game this way.

After their umpteenth race was done, Marco stood up to find another game to do with the boy.

"Marco," turning around to look at Austin, he pointed to the booth next to them.

Giving a chuckle he went over and picked up his husband's card, putting it in his pocket before rearranging Ace to be more comfortable. It was adorable, but he still made sure to tell Austin it was the Narcolepsy again and not the worry. He was glad the boy took it well, probably also because this way it literally just looks like Ace is sleeping.

Only 5 minutes later did Ace start to stir. Marco gently swiped some hair out of his face. "Good afternoon love, you feeling alright?"

Ace blinked and rubbed his eyes "I'm fine, sorry, didn't mean to interrupt anything."

"Don't worry, you didn't interrupt anything, Austin noticed you when we finished. He's now already trying out some claw machines over there," he kissed him gently and pointed a bit ahead, still in clear view.

Ace gave a smile as Marco helped him up and they both went over to the claw machines, seeing Austin was trying for a fluffy pink ball?

"Oooh Kirby!" Ace announced "nice choice! Is it working out a bit? The claw got some grip?"

At that moment the hold on the fluff ball slipped and dropped the plushy, "No..."

"It's alright-yoi." Marco said gently, putting a hand on his shoulder, "Try again, it's okay."

Nodding the boy swiped again and a few tries later it picked it up in a hold that looked strong, not having dropped it even as it moved towards the exit. Everyone was squeezed to the window as it got closer and closer.

"Damn-"

"Ace."

"Ah sorry."

It had dropped it right beside the exit! It was so close!

As the boy looked down sadly, Marco patted his back, "C'mon Austin, once more, he's very close now."

"But, I've already spend a lot on this. Maybe it will keep dropping."

Marco just smiled at him as Ace swiped his card for Austin to try again. "Looks like you'll have to try again, there's suddenly 3 more turns on it!" Ace announcement as if this was a pure accident.

Gently Marco pushed Austin back in front of the control, ushering him to try again these last times.

Finally, finally it dropped on the second to last try, the pink Kirby bouncing in the exit spot.

"Great job bud, go take it out." Marco smiled and ruffled his hair.

Trembling with excitement Austin took it out of the prize space and hugged it, his arms barely fit around it yet they could see the force of the hug in the fluff. A muffled 'Thank you' came from the Kirby, barely able to hear his voice as his face was smooshed in the fluff, but they heard the smile and happiness in those two words.

Both parents smiled at it and gave the boy a hug and more congratulations before they went around to watch more games.

As they made their way around the claw games, Marco saw a new game up ahead. Ace saw him looking and told him to go ahead and check it out, it had a retro look and he knows Marco likes them.

Nodding he went "Space Invaders?" he read slowly and swiped the card, his lovely husband had added more money for him to play on. Slipping his glasses on he pressed start and got to playing, needing to get used to it since he hadn't played this in ages, but he did remember it from his childhood.

After Ace and Austin both won some different things and their cards were emptied, they made their way to find Marco since he still hadn't returned. Ace almost dropped everything when they got close. Marco was still at the same machine, but was now surrounded by tickets. Tickets that still kept flowing out of the machine, the doctor didn't even seem to notice!

"M-Marco!?"

"Hmmm?" The man simply hummed in question without looking at him, still hitting down stuff.

Ace and Austin watched in awe as he played the game, tickets being spit out by the machine every second. Even other people started to gather and watch him play in amazement. He kept playing and playing, not every dying, not even breaking a sweat.

"Austin," Ace spoke stunned "you don't think this is still the first time he started this game right...?"

"I... I don't know... Marco said he wasn't good at video games." Austin replied slowly, as he watched the blond play effortlessly.

The crowd all stood with gaping mouths as Marco kept playing. 10 minutes after they started to watch, so who knows how long he had already been playing, the man finally made a mistake and died. He simply accepted it and made to turn around only to stop when he jostled paper, "huh?" Marco looked around and saw a crowd but didn't think anything of it as he saw Ace and Austin behind him. "Ace, what's with all this paper? Did the machine break-yoi?" He rather not replace these machines.

Ace started laughing while the other people slowly dispersed. "Those are you tickets! That's amazing babe!"

Marco looked confused "So it's broken? You only get like... 2 tickets for a level."

"Babe... how many levels did you play?"

"ehm... I don't know-yoi. I didn't really pay attention to when it started a new level."

Ace laughed, and smiled, "I think you did pretty good!"

"More like amazing!" They turned to the voice, Austin looking up at Marco with wide shining eyes, "You just kept going like KABAM! Hitting them all! I thought you were going to get hit but then you dodged last second!" The boy was rambling about Marco's apparently awesome run.

Marco laughed and rubbed the back of his head. "I haven't played that game since I was a kid."

It only made Austin look up more in awe, squishing his plush in his arms "Teach me?"

The blond blushed lightly, "Maybe another time. We need to go and pick up Marcy from daycare soon."

"Awww, okay..."

"But I promise to teach you when we come again, okay?"

"Okay!"

"Well then," Ace smiled at them, his arms full of tickets, "let's go cash these in and then we'll go and pick her up."

Ace cashed them in and asked for a small card of where the points are on, they can combine them with other points they earn next time. Walking to the exit Marco and Austin were waiting for him. Ace smiled as he saw Marco carrying the big pineapple plushy he won. They were like 2 peas in a pot. It was a good plan to win it.

At daycare Ace left the car to get Marcy, leaving the other two seated.

It didn't take long for Ace to appear again, Marcy in his arms. The moment she noticed Austin she immediately started squirming in Ace's arms and calling for him.

Austin blushed at that, hearing his nickname being called even though the doors were closed. He was also tackled into a hug the moment the cardoor opened, "Aussy!"

"Hi Marcy. I'm back for some time!" The boy smiled and hugged the little girl back, unbeknownst to them the two adults shared a smile at it before making Marcy sit down and strapping her down to leave.

"We're eating out today" Marco announced as Ace was getting in himself "Any preference as to where to go?"

"Pizza?" - "Pizza!"

"Looks like pizza it is." Ace laughed seeing Austin suggested it slowly while Marcy instantly called it out.

"Guess so-yoi" Marco started the car and drove to their local place.

When they got inside, Ace held Marcy's hand as they walked in, and they looked around at all the people. They got to the register, "two children and two adults." Marco said looking at the guy who was working. "And could we get a larger table please?"

"Of course, right this way", They were lade to a table before placing their orders in, "Alright, thank you. I do have to say we're sorry, but we can't make 3 extra large pizza's at once. Is it alright if we bring out one of each first and after the other 2 extra-large? That way we can assure everything is hot for everyone to start already."

Of course, that's fine." Ace nodded, he wants everyone to be able to eat too instead of only him getting pizza or the other's needing to wait.

As they were waiting, Marcy was babbling Austin's head off with everything she had been doing the last month... Everything she could remember. Austin nodded, smiled, and ask questions to her stories, even if they didn't even make sense to Ace and Marco who had been with her. At some point the server returned, bringing all the smaller pizzas before making another run to get the rest. "Please enjoy your meal. The other two X-large pizzas will be brought shortly"

Marcy had just cheese on her pizza and looked at Marco who had started to eat his pineapple one. "Papa pineapple." She said pointing to his pizza.

Marco chuckled at his daughter and picked up a few piece and put them on her pizza, only for her to already eat the pieces separately.

"Remember to blow on it. It's still really hot." Ace said looking at her.

The girl nodded and she took some deep breaths and blew on it before taking a bite. She was a big girl and could do this!

Austin watched Ace in amazement as he devoured his huge pizza in seconds. He remembered him eating a lot in his first visit, but it was still amazing.

Marco noticed and chuckled, "You'll get used to it."

Nodding he ate further, yet still watching. Ace had just start his second big pizza while he wasn't even halfway in his small one yet!

The meal continued with Marcy asking for small pieces from her parents, getting them every time. And they talked with Austin how the past month had been, trying to avoid future talks of what to do because well... They didn't want to ruin any surprises.

After Ace was last to finish his 3rd pizza, only last because they weren't all delivered at the same time, they paid the bill and drove home.

This was the moment, Austin would know! Ace held Marcy's hand after they got out of the car at home, not wanting her to run ahead and maybe ruin the surprise. He smiled softly as Marco came over and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before going to take Austin's luggage out of the trunk, instantly getting a confused look from the boy.

Austin blinked, and blinked again at it, why would they have all his stuff? Not Ace nor Marco looked twice at it though and went inside, waiting for him at the door, so he quickly followed them in. He took off his shoes and first waited for the others to walk in, but they didn't? Marcy wanted to, she was pulling on Ace's arm, but he wasn't letting her.

"C'mon Austin," Marco spoke, "why don't you enter first."

"... Okay?" He was very confused, but after giving a weird look he simply took the doorknob and twisted before pushing it open. Planning on walking in, only to freeze two steps into the living space.

A huge banner instantly taking over his vision and his eyes widened at the sign. He didn't move or spoke as tears were gathering in his eyes. 'Welcome home Austin'. There was a banner with Welcome home on it, for him!

As a small sob escaped him he turned around and barrelled into Marco's leg behind him, hugging it tightly as he started to cry.

Marco crouched down and hugged Austin back as his own eyes got moist, he repeated the same words as the banner as he held onto the back of Austin's head with one hand. "Welcome Home, Austin, Welcome home-yoi. You won't ever need to leave again, live at the orphanage, this will be your home now."

Marcy, who didn't know what was going on got worried as to why everyone was crying when she walked in with Ace. She quickly joined the hug after both her parents did before kissing them where she could reach and then patted them, chanting a spell she learned from her parents themselves, hoping it would work like how it worked for her "pain, pain, go away!"

Ace and Marco laughed softly at it and took one moment to pat her head, they would explain after, but right now, Austin was their priority.

"H-hey bud," Ace stuttered out through tears, "what-what's wrong? A-aren't you happy?"

They all saw, heard, Austin trying to speak but failing, crying as he nodded, snot dripping down his nose onto Marco's leg.

After a minute a small voice came through, "What wrong?" Tears had started to swell in the small girl's eyes not knowing what was going on.

"Austin doesn't need to go back anymore, sweetheart. He's staying with us, forever-yoi. He's now really your big brother."

It took a moment for the young girl to process what Marco had just said. Her frown turned to a smile as she squealed with delight, happily hugging him. "Aussy! Big brother!"

Both adults had a watery laugh. They were all bawling their eyes out while their smallest was doing what they should be doing. Laughing. Enjoying and celebrating the stay of their new son.

"We got you some stuff." Ace said after getting up and wiping the tears from his eyes. "But first. Let's get a picture. We need to update our family picture as soon as possible."

Austin tried to speak again but nothing came out yet, so he opted to just nod and hug Marco, clinging to him like a koala.

With one hand, Ace took a prepped tri-pod from somewhere, placing it almost in the hallway. He put his phone on camera mode and added a timer before putting his phone on the tripod, magnets holding it in place. He checked to make sure the banner was in it, Marco and Austin already standing under it. Fiddling a bit with the setting to get it as clear as possible he put on the time to 15 seconds. Time enough to walk over and move Marcy a bit so she was looking at the right spot too. His phone didn't make a noise in the last seconds, so they needed to awkwardly keep smiling not knowing if it went off for far longer then the 15 seconds.

After they had their first picture taken, Marco looked at Austin, "I hope you like ice cream cake." He said and walked the boy to the kitchen, setting him down at the table as Ace took out a box from the freezer, placing it in front of the boy and slowly raising the lid. A round cake with green frosted lettering on it saying, 'Welcome Home Austin Newgate'.

"N-New-w-gate" Austin whispered still crying. He looked at the cake before to the adults "I-I-I really don't, don't need to leave anymore?"

"Nope. You are now officially stuck with us for life." Marco said and kissed his forehead. "Welcome to the family bud. We are over the moon to have you apart of it."

"We can't wait to introduce you to our brothers." Ace chipped in smiling wildly, tears still in his eyes.

Austin thanked them over and over again, sniffing through it as he tried to stop his cries.

Marco wrapped the boy in another, rubbing his back and giving the time he needed to let everything settle in for now. In the meanwhile Ace already took some small plates, spoons and a big knife to cut the cake.

When Austin looked up and Marco had cleaned his face, Ace spoke, even having to restart because his voice cracked from emotion, "D-does anyone want some cake?"

"Me!" Both Marcy and Austin said together

Nodding Ace started to cut the cake with a smile, giving Austin the very first slice of it. "Don't be afraid to ask for more later when you're finished, Austin, I'm just putting the cake back in the freeze so it doesn't melt."

The boy nodded and started eating his cake, humming in delight. No one mentioned how the boy silently started crying again as he ate his cake.

"Tomorrow after school we can go and pick out paint for your room." Ace said as everyone finished they slices.

"Paint? Why?" Austin cocked his head, his room was already painted?

"So you can make your make your room really your room-yoi."

"...I... I would like to shop with you guys..."

Ace smiled at that, "Then paint shopping it is tomorrow!"

"Ace and I can prime it Friday," Marco hummed, Sabo would be watching over Marcy with Koala so that was good, gave them time, "make sure it's all set and then the three of us can paint it Saturday. How does that sound?"

Austin nodded happily, already thinking of how he could paint it.

"Marco's off this weekend too and not on call. He can take you to the store and pick out stuff for your room." Ace said and rubbed the back of his neck. "Marcy has a birthday party on Sunday for a kid from her daycare so I'll be out with her."

"That's okay" Austin smiled. "We have a lot of other weekends together now too!"

Marco nodded and smiled, "That we do."

After talking a bit, Austin suddenly noticed something missing, "Ehm, where's the tv?"

"Marcy threw a tantrum and threw something at the TV."

Austin looked stunned at Marcy before back to Ace "Wha- why? It broke?"

"It was shattered." Marco said looking at Austin. Marcy looked down at it being mentioned and Ace gently patted her hairs. "She threw a fit that you weren't coming back with us when we dropped you off at school last time. So she threw one of those picture globes we had on the small table at it. We haven't had the chance to get the new one up yet."

'Marcy shattered the tv?', Austin thought. Okay... mental note, don't fight Marcy... but... she threw a tantrum because she thought he wasn't coming back...? Is it bad that he's a bit happy Marcy would do that... he shouldn't smile. He tried to hide the small joy, not wanting the adults to think he likes Marcy throwing thing "O-oh... ehm... Will there be a new one, at some point?"

Marco chuckled, at his son's reaction. "We got one ready, just haven't put it up yet."

"Maybe I can help? Put it up?"

Ace smiled, "I think you can help get it on the plate for the wall mount."

Austin smiled and nodded, "Really?!" Ace nodded, "Marco will put it up the wall since he's got all the muscles." As he lent, over and kissed his husband's cheek.

Marco smiled at it as he got up to take away everyone's plate and put it in the sink. "Austin, I'll carry your bags upstairs, you can unpack if you want." It wasn't that much stuff. Even if put in the closet it would still be light enough to move for when they painted.

Austin nodded and smiled as him and Marco made their way up stairs.

Upstairs Marco put Austin's stuff at the floor in his room. "You can decide yourself what you want to store where-yoi." Marco scratched his neck" We're sorry for rummaging through your stuff. With your caregiver at the orphanage, we went through your shared room to find everything that was yours, which wasn't a lot. If we've forgotten anything, let us know and we'll get it. Oh, and since this was so sudden, you didn't get to say goodbye to your friends, but even then, we can visit whenever you want and even invite the others to play here if you want."

Austin looked at his bit of stuff, and gave him a bit of a smile, "It's okay. Most of my clothes are, small anyways... I normally shared with a few other boys." He was quiet, "Can we go tomorrow after school?" He did want to tell his friends there he got adopted, and tell they're still allowed to visit.

Marco blinked. Right. Sharing clothes was a thing there. Bending down before him he spoke softly, "Of course we can. And how about when we go get some stuff for your room, we can get you some more clothes that fit you too? You don't ever have to worry about needing to share clothes again to have some that fit. Only if you're fine with it, we'll maybe keep the clothes that have gotten too small for you for Marcy if they're still in good condition."

Austin sniffled a bit and nodded, "T-thank you." he didn't look up as he kept moving the same stuff around in his bag, sniffing every few seconds. Marco gave a sad but knowing smile at it. Even if you found a good family, you're still leaving a part of your life behind at the orphanage. He gently ruffled Austin's hair. "Take all the time you need okay. I'll be downstairs with Ace and Marcy-yoi. Just call if you need anything." Getting a nod, he got up and left the room, pulling the door close behind him. He would tell Ace to just leave Austin alone for a bit unless he calls, just let him realise what's all going on.

After a while Austin had come downstairs, his cheeks red from crying. He joined Marco, Ace and Marcy who were watching something on Ace's laptop.

He silently sat with them, hugging Ace's side while clutching part of Marco's sleeve. Ace wrapped his arm around Austin's back. The video was one of Ace's older videos back when him and Marco started dating. "I look like a baby." Ace laughed at the video. It was true he did have a baby face.

"It's adorable-yoi"

Ace chuckled. "One of my fans found these videos. I'm some glad they have them." As they watched the videos, Marcy looked at Austin, "When's Aussy's birthday?" She asked randomly.

"January 3rd" he reacted out of reflex, not even letting the question sink in.

Ace chuckled, "That's two days after mine." He ruffled Austin's hair.

Blushing he made a tiny gasp "Really?" That was somehow so nice to him! Almost shared birthday. "Oh, and you Marcy? Marco?"

"April 6th!" Marcy giggled and Marco ran his fingers though her hair, getting so smart. "I'm on October 5th."

Austin nodded. Marco's next, even if not for a while, he would try and remember and figure out a way to get a surprise.

"We'll make sure it's on the calendar." Ace said smiling.

"O-oh, thanks" Austin smiled back at Ace. They watched some more videos throughout the evening. At one point he started slouching more into Ace, having difficulties keeping his eyes open. He rubbed at them, it wasn't even his bedtime yet and he didn't wanna leave his place against the other.

"Hey Marco, think you can take care of for dinner tomorrow?" Ace asked his husband while running his fingers through Austin's hair.

"Sure, what did you have planned-yoi?"

"Lasagna." Ace said and kissed his cheek.

"Alright. I haven't made one in a bit I might have to ask for help." Marco chuckled and went to stand up.

Ace laughed "I'm sure you can do it."

"Love your confidence in my cooking abilities." He laughed as he made his way to the kitchen to start on prep, he would need to do less tomorrow then.

Ace snorted, "I'm sure you'll be able to stack a lasagna, what's the worst you could do wrong? Topple it?"

"I could. Or burn the meat." Marco hummed away as he started working on making everything.

Ace shook hide head, silently laughing at Marco. He's sure he'll do fine... Or at least won't kill them. He'll find out tomorrow. For now, he was happy with weaving fingers through Austin's hair as he had fallen asleep. If he didn't wake up by the time Marco had finished up, he would try to carefully carry him to bed and tuck him in.

A bit later Marcy crawled out of the couch and while Ace had thought she would run for the bathroom, she instead ran to the back of the couch to pull down the blanker they had laying over it and brought it over, clumsily putting it over Austin's body, Ace awed at the sight before quietly thanking Marcy. "Thank you, Marcy, that's very sweet."

Sometime later Marco finished up the last layer and put everything away. It didn't look bad, not as good as when Ace does it, but it was okay. He walked back to the couch but stopped at the sight. He silently went to get his phone and snapped a pic. It seems beside him, the whole family had decided to take a nap and fall asleep together. All huddled up under a blanket, holding onto each other.

Marco walked over and gently took Ace's laptop off his lap and set it on the coffee table. He loved his little family with his whole heart. He went and gently picked up Marcy from her spot starting with her to get her ready for bed.

He was glad Marcy was a heavier sleeper, able to get her into her pj's without her waking. After having tucked her in bed, he made his way down to pick up his second child. Somehow, he was able to snake Austin out of Ace's hold and get him upstairs. He decided against changing Austin, not knowing how the boy would feel about it. They should maybe ask tomorrow. Getting to his room he placed him on his bed and simply took off his slippers and socks before tucking him in too. He wasn't wearing anything restraining so one night in regular clothes wouldn't hurt.

Marco smiled softly at his son. His son. He was home. He kissed his head before taking his leave and gently closed the door behind him. Making his way back down stairs he looked at his husband. Before walking over and setting down next to him and sneaking his arm around his and held his hand before resting his head against his shoulder.

Feeling some slight movement, Ace woke up a bit. He squeezed his hand and felt a bigger one in it, making him smile. Without opening his eyes, he leaned into the warmth and rested his head on top of the one of his shoulder. "Kids?" He quietly whispered.

"Sound asleep." Marco responded

Ace hummed "Thank you, you the best"

Marco smiled, "I know-yoi," he laughed lightly, "but you're the greatest. "

Laughing a bit, he raised his head to deposit a kiss on blond locks before laying down again. "We've got him," He squeezed the bigger hand "Our son. And he seemed happy too, I am so glad "

"I know. We have two beautiful children now." He held his hand. "Thank you for everything Ace. I mean it. You do everything around here for me, for the kids. What can I do for you?"

Ace sat up, making Marco raise his head as his husband turned to him. He locked his grey eyes onto beautiful blue ones, both filled with so, so much love that it could practically make him melt. He held the hand tighter a he leaned into kiss those lush lips. He released the hand and snaked both arms around his blond husband, pressing his face against his side as he hugged him. "Stay with me. That's all I ever wanted, all I'll ever want. Thank you, for loving me, Marco."

"I'll love you forever. Till death do us part."

"Till death do us apart"

They stayed in each other's embrace before they eventually got interrupted by Ace's alarm to get started on his stream for the day.

"Alright if I watch you stream-yoi?"

"You're always welcome," he smiled as he got up, taking the blonds hand again to pull him with him, "also welcome to join, the chat loves it when you do."

Willingly he got up to follow him, "only if you sit in my lap."

"I think that can be arranged" Ace chuckled as he got everything settled. Soon starting on his usual stream. And while the viewers here were the same, the game he played wasn't a new one, and his lap chair was as good as always. This whole evening felt so much more special. Once Austin was more comfortable, and if he wanted too, he would allow him to be on stream too. But for now, for his viewers, it was his and Marco's little secret about their new child. Their perfect forever son.
