hyerina97 - I hope you'll keep enjoying them! thank you for reading and taking the time to comment!

Zoysite - It's fine, German is fine! I have translator apps haha. Haruta's amazing and will make several appearances, co-author absolute loves Haruta so she gets added in wherever we can haha.
Marco will always take care of Ace, no matter if maybe he does chuckle a bit at the innocence and him not knowing.
And omg yes! I also used a Phonebook for flowers! This came to be because Kawaii-chibi said something of it, and it said i never used it before besides flowers hahah, so perfect older Marco and younger Ace content.

Wrote something that had been in my mind the whole workday 😌😌😌😌

Ages:
Marco: 85
Ace: 70
Austin: 51

Relationship status: Happily married!

A laugh echoed in the house, "So, and then I-...", the speaker turned quiet and a frown was slowly forming.

"Austin-yoi?"

"It... it's the third time that dad's fallen asleep in my visit today."

"Huh" looking to his side, Marco's eyes turned soft as he saw his husband's eyes closed, breaths coming out peacefully. Just like routine he pulled a bit at the arm he had around him to get him a bit closer, making the raven head fall onto his shoulder, gently stroking a wrinkled hand over Ace's side.

"Pa..."

"Hmm?'

"What's wrong with dad? Has he been unwell? It's never been this ba-"

"Nothing's wrong with Ace."

"…" Ignoring the interruption and how Marco didn't even look at him, only focused on Ace, he continued, trying to stay level-headed and gentle. "Pa. I've only been here 2 hours, three attacks is a bit..." Austin frowned, trailing off as he watched his old man pull at a limp Ace. And with a bit of difficulty, got him onto his lap, one of his arms hugging him while the other was kept busy caressing a mix of raven-grey hair down to his back and repeat.

Lightly rocking the love of his life he spoke, a small smile still there, "He's fine. Ace is fine-yoi. He's healthy. He's okay"

"Pa..." Austin whispered, that... those words just sounded like someone trying to fool themselves, yet Marco simply continued.

"He's okay... My husband is okay, always okay. He still has at least 15 years ahead of him..."

The smile lightly twitched and Austin only barely heard whispered, 'He has to', as his pa buried his face in the hair beneath him to kiss it.

He wanted to cry, not only at the tone in his pa's voice, but also at the whisper and the display in front of him. "We need to go to a doctor paps...", There was no instant reaction, just another kiss pressed to a skull as they rocked, "Pa." he spoke a bit stronger, "Please."

"No-yoi. He's o-"

"He's not okay pa!" He may regret the small yell but... didn't his father see! His Dad- his dad wasn't okay! And while the blond had been one of the greatest doctors when younger, even he wasn't an expert in the field required to understand Ace's illness even if he always tried his hardest. But... "Three attacks in 2 hours, Pa. And that without him even eating or doing any if his other triggers." He took a small breath, hardened his voice, his pa had to realise it no matter if he wanted to ignore it. They could try to help him. "Dad. Is. Not. Oka-"

"THEY CAN'T HELP HIM!"

"Pa?" Austin whispered in shock. He never yelled, he could count the number of times he had seen his pa yell and it took a lot to get him to that point. Yet it was also the first time he heard this amount of hurt in just those four words and... Did he see a tear?

No more yelling came from the blond as he clutched to his husband, limbs trembling from the amount of pressure his old bones were producing. He whispered, unknown if to fool himself or if to not wake his love or share the information, "They can't help him... No one can."

Before Austin could speak, get passed the lump in his throat, Marco took a deep breath and started speaking himself.

"We always knew his Narcolepsy would get worse as years went by, that there would still be no real cure by the time out time ends. Yet... yet I've lunged Ace to several specialist in the recent years after his meds started to noticeable work less and less. We..." he took a small pause, looking down to Ace, "We got told that we're lucky. Can you believe that, Austin?" he looked up, tears welling in those still clear blue eyes before they hid away again looking down.

"Lu-cky?" Austin questioned slowly, "Why- I? There's nothing lucky- I?"

A breathy laugh was there, no real fun behind it, it was laced with more pain than any words ever could, "Yes, lucky... that somehow Ace is only getting sleep attacks nowadays and all the other, worse kind of attacks only occasionally."

With a breath Marco looked up to his son, "You know, Austin-yoi. With getting older, the body has a harder and harder time absorbing nutrients out of food. This of course also counts for medicine needing to be absorbed. Your body doesn't get as much proper use out of the same dose as when you were younger. It's normal, it's what happens to even the healthiest people. For Ace... for Ace this means that his narcolepsy meds worked less and less, I even doubt if they have more than a placebo effect right now. But they comfort him to take them, makes him more sure of himself-yoi, so I won't take that away from him no matter how expensive they are." There was a small pause as Ace stirred and Marco rubbed the back under his hands a bit harder, but no eyes opened so he continues, "Combined with just the usual tiredness one gets when getting older, the body just reaching its end. This... This is normal. It's always been inevitable. His body is healthy Austin, trust me on that. It's just... his mind- its...", he squeezed his husband another time, kissing his head harder than he had to and whispering loud enough for Austin to hear, "He's okay-yoi. He's fighting. He's doing the best he can."

Austin had difficulty by now keeping his eyes dry, there was really nothing they could do? Nothing? At least... at least his body was healthy right? But... One can't live without their mind...

"... What... What about his memory?" He was finally able to question after a few minutes in silence, "Is that... Is that also..." A nod already shut him up and he looked down at his own hands, balling them into fists that he couldn't help the people who saved him. Glancing at his dad he thought back of just earlier, the first time he fell asleep, 40 minutes after he arrived.

Flashback

He had laughed because his dad was drooling onto his pa's shoulder within seconds of falling asleep and his pa was enjoying it! Just patted his hair as if he was doing a good job! Just letting the drool trickle down his shoulder without a care in the world. If that wasn't unconditional love, he didn't know what was.

However,... his grin soon fell when his dad woke up and... he was ignored. Like... his dad acted like he wasn't there. Like he wasn't sitting opposite them and had been telling a story less then 5 minutes ago.

"Hmmm?" a yawn was there and Ace blinked his eyes open, sitting up a bit as he looked around, smiling when he was greeted by his husband's face almost immediately. He was even sitting om his lap, no better way to wake up.

"Marrrrr, loveeee you!"

"I love you too, darling-yoi." Marco smiled at his husband and kissed the already puckered awaiting puckered lips. Ace being so happy every time he saw him would never stop melting his heart.

"Neh neh, Marco, we should watch that movie again with the doctor that talks to animals."

Marco hummed, thinking of what his silly husband could want to watch the first second he woke up, "Doctor Doolittle?"

"Yea!" Ace smiled brightly, leaning on Marco's torso and taking the wrinkled hand that was around him, playing with the fingers like he's done for years. After a minute however he slowed down and frowned, "did we eat lunch yet?"

Marco looked at the clock, just too see if they were still close to lunch time, 3 o'clock, so no, they had long since eaten. Had already long finished before their son's arrival. Gently he kissed Ace's temple, "are you hungry?"

A small nod was there, "A bit."

"Why don't you check the fridge and see hmm?", he spoke softly, brushing a few strands of hair behind Ace's ear.

With a more determined nod Ace jumped from his lap and went to their kitchin, looking at the magnetic planner they had hanging up on the fridge, checking all the magnets, "a magnet of bread, so we had breakfast and oh ... and one of spaghetti, we already had lunch..." he hummed seeming to remember, "Right right hmmm but... the ice cream cone is not on yet today!" he smiled and looked to Marco, "So we can have a little dessert, right mar?"

A chuckle was there because of course that little fact was discovered quickly, "of course we can have one." he said with a laugh and smiled as he watched his husband look into their fridge on what they had laying in there. He's immensely glad the simple planner they made together works. They, or well Ace, put magnets on it after they had eaten so he could check it at times like this, for now it was one of the only things he sometimes forgot after a nap and or didn't remember or simply ate a second time before he remembered or even skipped meals thinking he had already eaten. Which wasn't good for him and thus they tried out this planned. Now if he didn't know, he could easily check if they had eaten or not, the planner also being on the fridge so it couldn't be missed if Ace went to grab something to eat.

"... Ace?" Marco slowly asked, already wanting to get up since his husband was staring into the living room, confusion clear on his face. Was he not fully awake yet? That's dangerous, he could fall. But before he could get up, a bright smile took over.

"Austin!" Ace laughed, "Hi!" he gave a small wave, "Do you want a dessert too?"

"I-" Austin was flabbergasted, not instantly knowing how to react to everything. Had... Had his dad forgotten him up until now? He had been telling about his kids and their achievements at work, in school, Ace loved that. "I Ehm..."

"Oh we have three chocolate mouses!" Ace piped up happily, "That's perfect! One for each. You'll have one right?"

"... Yea... I... I Would love a chocolate mouse, dad."

"Great!"

Without noticing the hesitance in his son's voice, Ace took the mouses and placed them on the table, taking three spoons and putting them on top. "Now magnet" he hummed turning around and taking a little ice cream cone magnet and putting it next to the others, "there!" He smiled admiring his work.

Still smiling he took the mouses and walked back to the living room, giving one to Austin before going to Marco, handing one over and sitting next to him. He wanted to sit in his lap, but this was they could both eat easily. Though he did lean again the other to get some cuddles, and when Marco was done, he knew he would get an arm around him. He nuzzled a bit into him when Marco had lent down to kiss his head, whispering a 'goodjob' and a 'thank you'.

After the chocolate mouse was finished, Ace suddenly asked about the continuation of the story Austin had been telling as if he hadn't first not noticed he was there for a good 10 minutes.

Flashback end

"Yes..." Marco said slowly, "And he knows. So please don't mention it-yoi. We're trying our hardest to work with it, Ace is trying his hardest. Doing memory exorcises, having things like the magnetic planner. So just... just bear with it. It's only after he wakes up from a nap and is still a little out of it. He'll remember again in a few minutes after. It upsets him, understandably so, when Ace notices he forgot something, even if briefly. "

Austin nodded slowly, "... O... Okay pa..."

"Thank you" Marco smiled, going to kiss Ace's temple, only for Ace to sit up and he kissed his cheek instead. Those lovely, lovely giggles there instantly, same with some wiggles in his lap.

"Marrr hihi, did my prince kiss me awake?" he smiled lovingly leaning on the blond's chest before there was a small grin and a finger pointed to his own lips, "You missed the spot a tinyyyyy bit though."

Marco couldn't help but chuckle at the first words out of his husband's mouth. "Excuse me, my prince" and took Ace's chin between his fingers, turning his head to kiss his lips, "I think a few more are needed-yoi. Just to be sure." he said before giving a few more kisses much to Ace's glee.

After another exchange of 'i love you's', Ace turned a bit in Marco's lap to face the couch opposite them, smiling at his son. "So, then what did you do, Austin?"

He had still been procesing all the new info, what was going on, how his pa reacted to everything like he was already used to it. He was a bit dumbfounded by it all but quickly recovered when he saw his dad start to frown and his pa try to distract him by patting his hair and started telling his story further, not questioning anything to Ace directly of what had been happening. He wasn't happy with his dad's condition, not at all, and he would inform Marcy too of this, see what she says and what to tell the kids. But... If his dad was happy, which he obviously was on his pa's lap. And if he was bodily healthy for the all other aspects... It was fine for now.
