A/N
Lady's and gents. I'm back with chapter number eight.
This book has grown so much. I originally just made chapter one because I was stressed.
I didn't expect for this book to end up being near 30k words nor have 3,000ish views.
At this rate this book will have 100k words by the year's mid. All the reviews have been glowingly amazing. All of them get reread daily weather i'm at school, work etc.
Anyways I'm a boogie into making this chapter. LL14. out.

Summer and I were currently soaring over the big ol ocean of nothin. We both looked worse for wear. It was night. The woman herself was asleep in my lap. It was a rather cute sight, well as cute as a scarred and destroyed woman can be.
I know I didn't look much better. My own reflection in the canopies glass proved that.
I was taking her to patch. Then I had a certain team to catch up with. Momentarily my gut burned with guilt. I wasn't able to save Pyrrha. Unfortunately even after being tortured and taking a life with my own hands.
That was the worst thing that hurt. The growing pit in my stomach proved it.
I checked the A10s instruments. As always the voodoo that got me in this world was still providing me with munitions and fuel. The previously used JDAM bombs where returned. Me being the periodic dumbass I was didn't bother checking.
The only reason I knew I was toting these powerful bombs was when I accedently dropped one. Summer shifted and I ended up pressing the button.
Even after all this time I've spent in rwby I'll still never understand how both fuel and munitions kept getting replaced as I used a liberal amount.
Over the horizon I began to make out land. It was Patch. The little island never changed, even when Beacon fell the little island didn't change.
I started dropping altitude, breaking through the clouds and circling the island, looking for Summers cliff.
In the darkness of night the cliff was astoundingly hard to locate. Borderlining is impossible. Frowning as my vision swirled. I was acutely aware of how bad my health was. I lined up with the cliff and slammed the air brakes open to their full.
With a sudder the war plane jerked me forward. I wrapped my free arm around Summers unconscious form. The huntress didn't stir.
Tires made contact with the cliff. Then I hit those brakes as well as the already flared air ones.
The A10 whined and rumbled around me. With my momentum now successfully arrested, I killed the engines and fiddled with the canopy. In ten seconds flat. Summer and I were on solid and friendly terrain.
My heart swelled with joy even as my body cried out in agony. Summer was slung over my shoulders in a fireman's carry, sure it was crude and slightly jerkish to carry my friend and cellmate in such a fashion. But I know She'd carry me in the same way.
Besides, we're both still bleeding, bruised and barely clothed. Crack!
My heart leaped into my throat and in one shaky swift movement I pulled the .45 free from my thigh and leveled it into the forest. Summer was precariously balanced on my shoulders. She stayed stable even as my legs shook in extortion.
"Come the fuck out bitch!" I hollered. My voice was raspy and hoarse. Another crunching of a twig and a tall blonde man came out from behind a bush. In the dim moonlight Taeyang's form was unmistakable.
Summer suddenly felt ten times lighter. I lowered my handgun and stumbled towards the man. Even as my eyes blurred from tears. "Shino. W-who's that?" Tai sounded like he saw some ghosts.
It wasn't a far off conclusion on his part. Summer was declared dead. And I was missing.
My right leg and enough of my shit and promptly folded under me. Causing me to crash into a painful crouch.
Taiyang was next to me within a flash. "Sum- Where?" I tucked away my handgun and shakly attempted to stand. It didn't work.
I tried to stand again but this time a large warm hand cradled my side. Tai was helping me walk. The scar on my face itched. It dawned on me. I didn't like being touched by men larger than me.
With a snarl I tore myself out of his grasp. "Don't t-touch me" Taiyang seemed hurt by my declaration. I watched as his sad look slowly morphed into an angry frown.
I mistook who his ire was directed at. With a flinch I stepped back. With Summer in his other hand. Tai put up his other one in a non threatening fashion. "Kid, please. Who did this?"
His eyes were flickering from me to Summer as fast as lighting. He was trying to estimate how much we were damaged. "An immortal cunt" He didn't reprimand me for my language. "Salem?" He all but snarled.
This time I didn't flinch. "Where's Yang? Ruby?" Tai and I started making our way through the forest, towards his home-our-home.
Our progress was slow on account of my injured form and my refusal to be carried.
Tai explained that Ruby, Yang and Qrow left for Haven. 'At least that part of the plot didn't change'
I noted he left out the fact Yang lost her arm. I didn't pry. All I did was nod along.
—-
Taiyang rested Summer on the couch as I took a slow and painful shower. I was covered head to toe in scars, cuts and bruises. I shouldn't be walking. Once upon a time I'd snicker and say 'I'm built different'
But this wasn't the time nor place. I could joke when I caught up with Rwby and the remains of jnpr.
Tai didn't take it well when I announced I would be going after the girls and their drunkle.
In a fashion eerily similar to a lethal assassin. I had my .45 shoved directly into Taiyangs mouth. My returning aura helped in this feat.
The burning fire in my dull eyes was enough to convince him. "I won't pull this trigger Tai. But don't you dare say I can't help them" I stopped mouth fucking the spluttering huntsman with my gun. "I may be injured but I refuse to let your girls and their friends go through what I did"
I turned on my heel and stumbled. 'Real smooth' "Shino," his silent question didn't go unanswered.
"I will" was all I said even as monotone as my answer was. It satisfied the older huntsman enough for him to nod and start tending to his wife.
—
Just a brief stop and I was already back into the sky, the A10 going full blast in the direction of Mistral. The battle of Haven would be a bloodbath. The A10 rumbled as if agreeing with me. Misguided or not those terrorist's would join the Taliban in death.
Because their reaper was in an assured course for their necks. As an American and being alive to witness 9/11 I was beyond furious with what those dumbfucks were pulling. Adam got killed at some point by Yang and Blake.
I just hope I'm able to get to him first. My spiteful and unhinged thoughts of righteous angry spiraled in the long flight to Haven.
—-
Turns out I wasn't late. I was astonishingly on time. Haven was in sight. The Whitfang and the freedom fighters brought by Blake were deep in combat. A bloody one at that. Ruby won't have much of an innocence left if she caught sight of the conflict raging outside.
The bombs on the CCT looked to be disabled. 'I'll check my fire' I didn't want to clip one of those bombs or the tower itself. I watched as the fight seemed to stall. They heard me. The lines slowly separated. All fighters seemed to wait and see who's side the Wraith would choose.
"Dumbasses' I thought. I brought the nose towards the group of white and black clothed people and pressed fire on my joystick. Some tried to run. Others just brought up their weapons to block the large rounds coming for them.
The rounds dug a ferrow through the terrorists. I jerked my A10 vertical but just before I darted off. I dropped a treat.
The large boom shook the A10, the first of many JDAM's was dropped. The screams mixed with the brrrt and whine of the A10 creating a scary melody. I pulled up and banked around the CCT.
The world slowed down as I noticed two figures on the tower itself. Blake and Illia. The former Whitefang women seemed to eye up my cockpit as I swung around and over the tower in a display of impressive piloting.
I didn't bother using the A10s gun and I just dropped another JDAM into the fractured Whitefang. I gained altitude and did a friendly twirl.
—Qrow–
Oscar was flung past me. Hazel threw Ozpins reincarnation like a rag doll. I ducked under his swipe.
Everyone was locked in combat. I Raked harbinger across Hazel's middle. Sliding between his legs I-
BRRRRRT. A large explosion rocked the school. "Wha-" I haven't heard that since- Another explosion shook the building.
Everyone seemed to pause. Hazel looked fearful. Ruby looked near tears. Yang's face was set in a grim line. The others winced at the loud whine that breached the schools walls.
The sounds of Blueberries A10's Engines slowly faded. And we're back just as fast with another ear shattering BRRRT. And another Explosion rocked the building down to its foundations.
Cinder, Raven and Ravens maiden took this time to slip into the vault.

I did a few more runs and then found a spot to land. It was a rocky outcropping on another nearby cliff. I drove the A10 to the huntsman school as best I could. It took maybe under thirty minutes to land. And maybe another forty of continuous strikes.
In total it was an hour of carnage. Right now I was running full speed with the use of my aura. I had to get to school.
My body complained all the while. Bursting through the forest I knocked against a black form. Red hair. SDC branded across his face. Adam.
I was faster. United was unsheathed and thrusted against the fanus's middle. He grit his teeth as his eye dilated in adrenaline. Bang! Wilt was launched at my face. I side stepped the red blade. Adam's shoulder checked me. "That's a pretty mark"
My words enraged him. Adam and I clashed. Red against cyan. To the naked eye it was just a bunch of sparks and blurred movement. My aura was ready. His gloved fist cracked against my face.
Going with my momentum I dropped to the ground and flipped, grabbing a handful of dirt in the process.
As I acrobatically blocked his horizontal slash. I unleashed the pocket sand. "ARgh, My EYE" While he was distracted United whirred.
The sickle/scythe Slashed across his face. I made sure to hit the SDC brand. It hurt more.
We clashed viscously. Both our battered forms aiming for the kill.
Adam blocked my strike as I blocked his kick in tandem. "TRAITOR" He barked out as I parried his blow.
"The Whitefang is a stain, you freak" Kicking him in the knee. He followed with a underhand strike.
Anger fueled my movements, Salem, Looneybox, Hazel, Mercury, Arthur Watts. I was after their heads.
Adams was right here. Cinders was here. Dodging his next blow. They'll all die. With my soul and mind in agreement I was able to Fade from sight even as Adam's next blow passed through my ghost like form.
I went intangible once again with my .45 in hand. I unloaded all the rounds in quick succession. Adam snarled and twirled his red blade while blocking the bullets.
Any exposed red on the bull faunus glowed red. "Shit" I cursed. The world turned red and black as he dropped into a Iaido stance.
Just in time I faded like a wraith. "AHHHA" He screamed, a wave of red harmlessly passed through me. The trees weren't so lucky.
In a twelve foot radius All trees were cut in half. I flashed into reality. My handgun was leveled in his last location.
He was gone. He used moonslice as a distraction for his own escape. I was standing in an open, battle torn clearing that was freshly made. Fire crackled around me. I had dust rounds in my .45.
Dropping the spent mag with a clatter. I pulled a standard clip free from the new mag holder on my armored thighs. United was transformed back to short sword mode. And was sheathed in its spot on my back.
My handgun wasn't stowed away. My aura was half, there was a chance I'd have to mercy kill some terrorists.
My runs were sloppy. Many were maimed but neutralized. Scratching my cheek with the still hot .45
I turned on my heel without stumbling and jogged towards Haven. I arrived within minutes.
The sight showed the might of the A10. The courtyard was littered with burning craters. Mushy remains. Legs, arms and the smell of death raideated the area.
Corpses of both sides laid across the grounds. I watched as Blake walked up the stairs to Haven. She mercy killed many of them already. The way she cradled Gambol Shroud was a large tell of how many she had to kill.
My gut panged in guilt once again. 'I was supposed to do that' There was a pained ground at my feet.
Whitefang. That's all I saw this child as. He was mangled. Clearly hit by the shrapnel of one of my JDAM's
Metal protruded out his back. Like wings. In a rare burst of raw hate. My heel came down on his head. I used my aura to ground the terrorist's head into pulp. It was gory and a war crime. He was no longer a combatant.
I didn't care even as his body stopped convulsing in pain. Even as his whimpers faded I still continued.
No soul witnessed this. The area was deserted. The other fang was being rounded up. So everyone was busy.
I stood there watching the corpse for minutes. "SHINO" That was Ruby. But it wasn't her who crashed into me in a bone crushing hug. It was Qrow. His chest blocked my view of the kid's body. Even when my boot was caked in that very body's blood and brain matter.
"Kid" he rasped. I patted his back. Even as he disengaged the hug. I watched his eyes rove over my new outfit. To my exposed midriff to my armored thighs up to my jacket and finally his eyes trailed my facial scar.
I took a page from Yang's book. Under my jacket all I had was a tight crop top. My scared midriff was exposed to everyone to eye up. My gloves stayed the same. My pilot jacket was used and I kept the plain olive pants.
My boots were plated with steel. And my thighs and the back of my caves hand a healthy amount of armour. My hair was a wild mess. It was trimmed to match my Sao counterpart. But it was left unstyled.
I got eyes on team jnr. For the first time. Ren was asian as I expected. Jaune looked American and Nora was almost exactly as I expected her to look. Blake was farther behind them supporting Weiss. Who was in and out of consciousness.
Cinder's fire spear of doom did a number on the former Heiress. Blake eyed me up suspiciously. But calmed when Ruby slammed into my side in a sloth hug. She had arms and legs wrapped around me.
Yang looked shy. Her face was a mix of relief, sadness and something else. Qrow looked ten years younger. 'I really do mean a lot to these people?'
I teared up slightly. I held out my hand for Yang to join. She did the next best thing. I was yanked free of Qrow's and Ruby's hold. And straight into Mamma Yangs.
A broken laugh filled with relief graced my ears. Yang buried her face in my neck. Even asI was shorter than her she still found a way.
A faint blush erupted across my face as she inhaled. "Y-you, stupid s-stupid idiot" I felt liquid drip down my neck.
Yang Xiao Long was crying. I pulled the taller girl tighter against me. And rested a hand on the back of her head.
I made eye contact with Blake who held a awake Weiss. Blake smiled and so did Weiss. I gave them a small one back. Yang's metal arm wrapped around my waist. A squeezed. I wheezed "Ya-ng" The pressure increased.
She'll kill me. I pounded on her back. "Sorry" I croked out. She stopped tooth pasting me. "Better be" was her clipped retort. Her voice had a noticeable tremble in it.
I curled an eyebrow. "Yang?" I whispered. She un-burrowed her face. "Shut up" She had a furious blush across her face. I failed to catch the blush. "Okay" I felt my vision sway. "Oh no~"
My injuries and lack of food caught up with me and was currently braining me for it.
"Yang" I all but whimpered. All my weight which wasn't much thanks to my lack of proper nutrients.
Suddenly had to be supported by Mrs. Xiao Long.
Yang gasped and sprawled to catch my limp form. Delirium set in. "Your hot cupcake~" I was held in Yang's arms even as I muttered that bit. "Food! Water!" Ruby exclaimed. All but Yang, Blake and Weiss scrambled to find me something.
I was laid down next to Weiss. I managed to grab Yang's cheeks. "I found-" my voice faded as my vision darkened more. "She's with your Pa" Yang grabbed my hands before they slipped from her cheeks. "Chino, You found who?" Yang fired off. "What happened to you?" She paused, "Who did this?"
My vision was quickly blacking but I uttered one word. "Salem" Then it was dark. My last sight was Yang's eye's bleeding red.
—-
Blake who was kneeling next to the unconscious Shino. Glanced at Yang. "Is this the girl who disappeared?" Yang shifted Shinos blue mop into her lap. "Yes" Yang sighed wistfully, a sight only Blake, and Weiss bore witness to. "And the dumbass who stole my heart somehow"
Yang trailed a finger on the scar that trailed Shino's face. "She's thin" Weiss noted from the ground next to the other girl. "Tortured to" Blake added. Everyone noticed the marks on Shino's lower back and hips.
Any skin that was shown was marred in some fashion. Jaune sprinted up to the group and kneeled. His hands were outstretched. Already glowing from the use of his semblance. Yang gave him a fierce look that had him withdrawing.
"It might help. It saved Weiss." Yang sighed "Fine" with the confirmation Jaune rested his hand on Shinos shoulder and activated Aura Amp.
HIs aura amplified Shino's. And Yang and Shino herself started rapidly becoming invisible. Shino withered in Yang's lap.
Blake quickly shoved Jaunes hands off the girl and she stopped withering on the ground. All three where panting.
Jaunes' aura cracked and shattered. Leaving him panting. Yang was gasping for air and shaking. Blake let heavy breaths through her nose. Her ears laid flat. In a clear sign of discomfort.
"Her aura was so cold" Weiss chimed. Jaune sat up. "Its like mine was being sucked in" Yang nodded. "Her aura's always been this way" Yang rubbered her arms. "It got so cold when her semblance extended to me"
Yang's hair was gently licked by the flames of her semblance. While all Blakes movements had after images. Weiss's glyphs flickered about the area. Shino caused theirs to act haywire. And out right drained Jaunes.
"Wha-t was that?" The only boy commented. "Her semblance" Yang was confused. It was plain as day. "Maybe her semblance isn't invisibility? Like you said Yang"
Weiss being the smart cookie she cooked up an explanation. "Maybe she's able to disrupt things?"
Blake shrugged uncaringly. Jaune was still winded. "What a jammer like from one of Ruby's video games?" Yang seemed to put something together.
The others watched Yang brainstorm. "Care to share?" Came Blakes sarcastic but well meaning comment.
"Thinking" Weiss snorted. "That's the first" Yang glared at the Schnee but didn't offer up any fight.
"Ya, think she can change up her moloclomo's or something? Or is it still just plain invisibility?"
Weiss slumped back into the dirt defeated. "Molecules, Yang" Blake just chuckled quietly.
The silence was broken by Qrow, Ruby, Nora and Ren arrived with an assortment of items. Most was food. Water and other small provisions. Once they came close. Ruby stepped on Qrow's cape. As rose petals started dusting around her.
Qrow cursed as he tripped over a stray brick and tumbled to the ground. Ruby doing no better than her uncle ate shit right next to her sister. Ren who was suddenly very grey also stepped around the brick Qrow tripped on and promptly had a flying tree branch clothesline him.
Nora's Maginhild chose to shoot off a pink grenade at her feet. Subsequently covering the whole group of huntsman in a layer of pink.
Jaune's shield choose the same moment to unfold and wack Yang in the nose. Who was also losing the fight of attrition with her hair and the wind. Which wrapped it around her head like a burrito.
Weiss felt a splat on her head. A bird just shit on her. Blake got sand blown into her eyes. Hissing out a curse. The whole group fumbled about. Weisses angry cursing and Ren's groaning and Nora's laughter echoed around the area.
Everyone stared at Qrow all in slight plight even as the older huntsman rubbed his head. "Okay, I didn't do that"
A black raven watched the entire scene. And it took off with mocking caws that sounded more like laughter than an actual bird.
