Gasping at the lack of air on her lungs as she journeyed her way to seek refuge. Heat from the sun was felt by her body even as she went into the woods, pausing for a moment to refill her canteen, she traveled towards the streams she heard earlier. Dropping her bag, she cups water between her hands to wash her face, feeling the cold water, she was relieved.
Her bright azure eyes look at the peaceful forest in front of her. The ghost of her past began to shadow the beautiful scenery, having an illusion of children playing and laughing in the stream as a squeaky sound of voice yelled at them, a small smile was formed paired with a pang of pain on her heart.
She, Kagome Higurashi, guardian of the said cursed jewel - the Jewel of Four Souls - regrets everything. Gripping her canteen tightly, she shut her eyes closed breathing deeply, composing herself before putting her canteen inside her pack. Securely, she strapped it to herself before she looked at the sun, she hurried.
Inside the abandoned hut a man lying on the mat with bandages wrapped all over his body, the rising of his chest indicates that he is still alive and yet unconscious. Sliding the wooden door, pale hands from cold hold the basin of water, crossing the room she sat next to him.
Frowning at his condition, Kagome checked if she missed something, looking over his body, she noticed the callousness of his hands and toned build of the man. Sighing deeply from the stress, she knows that the man she brought with her was a ninja. However, doesn't know who he was affiliated with, she just hopes he was not one of the rogue ninjas said to roam and kill for satisfaction.
Dropping the towel used for wiping the face of the man, she massages her temple. She felt her body tremble from tiredness as her muscles began to protest at her. Perhaps, she needs to digest nutrition and rest for a while before changing his bandages. Exiting the room, she raises a barrier within the hut before resting. As soon as the barrier was enough, it enclosed the hut, pink clear bubbles pulsed and shone before disappearing along with it was the hut, blending with the forest.
As the sun rises between the mountains, its first ray of light hits the forest, illuminating the place and waking up the animals from their deep slumber. Kagome awoke from the chirping of birds, grateful that she was alive and her barrier remained. Not a morning person she is, she scrunch her eyes whilst groaning from pushing her body to stand up and do her routine.
Realizing that she has a patient to attend to, she immediately rises from the bed yet the sudden movement lets her suffer from mild vertigo, leaning on the bed for support so as to not fall, she closes her eyes and breathes deeply. It was minutes before the room stopped spinning, she muttered some words to relieve herself from suffering before walking towards the sink.
Meanwhile, a gasp was released from the man lying on the white futon, his fingers wrapped in bandages began to twitch and grab the blanket covering him. Sweat runs down from his temple as his body aches, slowly he turns his head to side only to see pitch black, his hand begins to feel his face realizing a bandage covers his face as well, removing it whilst trembling, he tries to open his eyes only to see nothing. At this knowledge, his heart began to pound harder, as anxiety crept towards his mind.
'Where am I?' He mused, he remembers the last scenario before he fell to his death. 'But how?' hands clenching tightly as he assumed that someone might kidnap him or worse a 'snake' found him. Too deep in his thoughts, he was alarmed as he sensed someone entering the room, his heightened senses alerted him that it was not just a normal person.
"Oh, you're awake!"
'A woman!' he exclaimed.
"Who are you?" He asked, turning his head towards her while his eyes remained closed.
