A/N: Hi. So I am writing things dont worry but i have like 5 different ideas going at once so… hopefully at one point I will update all of my stories, but in the meantime heres a short sickfic from my other story Coffee shop AU which is basically RA modern version. In the story this is used as a flashback but it can also be read with no context. Please review and suggestions for future sickfics or one shots are always welcome.
A sharp knock on the door woke Will up from his nap on the sofa. His head was pounding and the world spun slightly as he groggily sat up, shielding his eyes as the bright luminescent lights only made his headache worse. He was vaguely aware of the door to his apartment opening and he lifted his head from where it had taken refuge in his hands to see who was barging into his home. Its true Will was a part time working police officer and even though he managed a coffee shop with his friends during his off duty hours, he knew all too well the dangers of leaving a spare key around, so only his so only his adoptive father, Halt, had a spare key to the two bedroom flat.
"Wow Will, you weren't joking when you called in sick." Gilan's voice sounded from the doorway.
"Why would I joke about it?" his own voice sounded unusually horse and it hurt his throat to talk.
"We brought chinese!" A familiar red head held up two plastic bags which were full of containers.
"He doesn't care what we brought for dinner Crowley." Halt walked to where Will had taken refuge under the blankets again, shivering from the breeze that was blowing through the open window. He shut the window and closed the curtain, dimming the room slightly as the one ceiling light in his living room didn't light the room as well as it should.
"Thanks," he mumbled pulling the covers up to his chin. Halt sat down at the end of the sofa that wasn't occupied by Will's feet and patted his lap. He sat up and shifted his body so his head was lying in Halt's lap, his knees still curled up under the covers. His adoptive father brushed some of the hair from his eyes. Crowley elbowed Gilan,
"Ow what was that for-?" he followed his gaze to the touching scene and it took every fibre in his being to not shout 'aw' as he smiled at his friends. Crowley frowned when he felt a rumbling in his stomach, then brought some plates and various containers over to the small coffee table in front of the sofa,
"Dinner time!" Halt helped Will sit up and gently lean against Gilan while he put some food on a plate for himself and for the sick boy. Crowley grabbed the remote automatically gravitating towards Pirates of the Caribbean and hitting play. Will seemed to perk up slightly as he got some food in his system, no longer needing to lean against his friend for support and instead eating hungrily off the plate in his lap. They all fell asleep at sometime during the movie, Will being the first to doze off, curled up next to Gilan who had his arm around the smaller boy and Halt resting his head on Crowley's shoulder in a rare show of affection, the redhead resting his head on Halt's. They all stayed like this until the sun streamed through the curtains and the sound of birds tweeting reached the sleeping friends.
