*Scene in the Batcave where Conner scans the bomb, finds out how it works and begins looking to find a way to get it off of Hank*
2018TITANS2018
Dick headed up the stairs from the Batcave and towards the garage. He felt like he was going to shake out of his skin. How could Jason plant an actual bomb on someone? He probably shouldn't be surprised, considering that he had killed people leading up to his trap at the bank, but Dick thought that maybe he wasn't the one who actually did the killing. At least, he was hoping he didn't. But no, not only was he capable of killing people instead of just incredibly violent, but he was willing to kill a Titan. Dick knew that Hank and Jason didn't get along very well, but being part of the same team should've meant something. But if he was willing to kill Hank, would he be willing to kill all of them? Even Gar?
He needed answers, and soon. Right now though, he needs to find a way to save Hank. A way that didn't include giving Jason what he wanted. Giving criminals what they demanded hardly ever went well, and the former hero had proven that he was better at creating schemes than they thought. So, Dick pulled out his phone and dialed Barbara's number.
"What's going on? You guys just left the warehouse before we arrived," Barbara demanded before Dick could even say a word.
"Jason was there, as the Red Hood. He fought Hank, and attached a bomb to his chest that will go off after his heart beats a certain number of times," the detective quickly explained as he entered the garage.
"What?" Barbara sounded just as stunned as Dick still felt.
"I need you to find everything you can about the person that took Jason's body from the morgue. There has to be something more that can help us figure out what Jason is doing," Dick replied, now reaching the car and climbing inside.
"Okay," Barbara agreed, her voice a little breathless, still in shock. For a moment, she was silent, then she asked, "Wait, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to see Crane. Maybe he knows something," Dick answered as he started up the car. "I have a feeling he knows a lot more than what he's been giving us."

*Pretty much all of the same scenes in episode 3 happens, excluding the scenes between Kory and Barbara, because that has already happened*
2018TITANS2018
Dawn burst into the abandoned building, leaving the truck with the money right by the door. There was no way she could've carried the money into the building by herself, in one trip. $50 million in gold bars was at least a thousand pounds. There was still a small part of her that was in shock that she just stole a fortune and was about to give it to a mad man, but she ignored it. It was the only way to save Hank, and she will save him. She wasn't going to let him die.
"Jason!" Dawn shouted, looking around the strange building for the person who was holding Hank's life in his hands.
"It's not Jason anymore," a voice called out from behind her. Spinning around, the blonde saw Jason, dressed as the Red Hood, coming towards her.
"Where's the de-activator?" Dawn demanded with a desperate voice.
"In front of you," Jason told her.
Confused, Dawn looked around again and spotted a metal box off to the side. She rushed over grabbed it. Instead of finding the device she needed in order to turn the bomb off though, there was a gun. A small handgun.
"What the h*ll is this?" She asked, holding up the gun to show him. When he saw it, he lifted up his own hand, revealing a device that he was clutching tightly. The de-activator.
"It engages the second my finger is off the trigger," he told her, pulling off his helmet so she could see his face. "If you want to save Hank, all you have to do is shoot me."
Dawn stared at him in shock. "Why? Why are you doing this?"
"You're wasting time," he said in a singsong type of voice. It was like he was truly enjoying telling someone to kill him. He sounded truly psychotic.
"Why do you want me to kill you?" Dawn wondered, trying to get more information and trying to stall at the same time. Trying to figure out what to do.
"Who's to say I do?" Jason questioned, still grinning though he now appeared curious.
"Are you serious?" Dawn practically yelled. "Just give me the de-activator. No one has to die."
"See, that's where you're wrong. Someone is going to die, but you have to choose. Me, or Hank?" Jason responded. Dawn looked at the gun for a moment before looking back up at the young man. Then, her eyes landed on a figure suddenly standing at the other end of the building, behind Jason, dressed in a black, armoured suit with a blue bird on his chest.
"That's enough Jason," Dick said. Jason flinched and turned around in surprise.
After leaving Wayne Manor, he headed over to Cyrus Beake's apartment. He had hoped he would find some kind of answers there, but the place was already being searched by police officers. Barbara had apparently sent them after learning that Beake was dead last night. They let him look around, but he found nothing. Then, he got a call from Barbara. Dawn, out as Dove, had actually gone out and stolen the truck with the money that Jason wanted. He quickly changed into his Nightwing uniform that he had brought with him, just in case, and headed to the old stable where Barbara tracked her to.
"Oh lookie, Gotham's golden hero is here," Jason announced in a sarcastic tone, the creepy grin finally falling from his face.
"Dove, drop the gun," Dick ordered as he took a few steps closer to the two before addressing his brother. "Jason, give us the de-activator."
"Oh I see how it is, you keep her code name, keep her safe, but not me. Just like back in San Francisco," Jason shot back bitterly. This time, it was Dick who flinched.
What happened with Deathstroke back in San Francisco a few months ago still haunted him. Even more now, with Jason dying before they were able to repair the damage done, and then suddenly being alive and on a killing spree. Dick wished he could go back and change things. Try to get closer to Jason, try to understand why exactly he had such a need to prove himself to the point of acting out, try to better show that he did care about him. He couldn't go back in time, but maybe he could fix it now, if Jason would give him the chance.
"I know I messed up in San Francisco, Hood. But don't take it out on Hawk, or Dove. I know that there's something going on with you. Give us the de-activator. Let us help you. Please," Dick practically pleaded, holding out his hand.
"The only one who you should be focusing on helping, is Hank. And if you want to do that, then pull the trigger," Jason responded, turning his head back to look at Dawn, "Come on. Prove it, prove that you will do whatever it takes to save someone you care about, including murdering someone."
"No one has to die Jason," Dick told him, taking another step closer to his brother.
"Yes they do!" Jason insisted, screaming with a kind of desperation that was honestly a bit scary. "And if you don't decide, I'll decide for you. I can use this device to set the bomb off right now if I want. So, what's it going to be?"
A fearful look covered Dick's face for a split second, then it turned to rage and he charged at the younger man. Despite still holding onto the trigger on the device, Jason was doing a decent job of keeping Dick from grabbing the de-activator. Dawn however, stood frozen in place. She was still holding up the gun, somewhat pointed where Jason had originally been standing. She should drop the gun, should run and help Dick. With two of them, they should easily be able to overtake the Red Hood and get the de-activator. But she couldn't make herself move.
After a minute or so, Jason managed to get away from Dick, and looked up at Dawn, smirking once again. "Go ahead Dawn, do it. After all, you already got Donna killed. What's one more death on your hands?"
Suddenly, Dawn's vision turned red. The gun fell from her hand and she tackled the younger man to ground.
From his spot, Dick got to his feet, as he had been knocked down to his knees when he had been the one fighting Jason. Before he jumped back into the fight, he looked over to where the gun was lying. He didn't want Jason to get his hands on it, and he wasn't sure what Dawn would do if she ended up with it again. Instead of grabbing it himself and risking Jason getting a hold of it when he jumped back in the fight, he kicked it as far away as he could. Then, he turned back to Jason and Dawn, who were back on their feet and currently trying punch each other.
"We did it!" Dick heard Gar's excited voice shout in his ear through his comm-link before he take a single step. "Conner got the bomb off! Hank's okay!"
"Dawn stop!" Dick yelled, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her off of Jason. As much as he wanted to get his little brother and keep him from causing anymore harm, he didn't want him dead.
"Hank's okay!" Dick shouted, turning her around so she was looking at him. "Hank's okay, Conner made a de-activator and got the bomb off. He's okay."
"He," Dawn started, then broke off as tears gathered in eyes. Relief flooded her body so strongly that she thought she would collapse. For a moment, she let herself collapse against Dick's chest, crying, while Dick held her. However, he soon looked over to where the former Robin was, only to see that he was gone.
"Where's Jason?" The blonde pulled away from the brunette and turned around, but saw no sign of the person who almost killed Hank. Then, they heard the sound of a truck engine being started.
The two vigilantes ran out of the building, just in time to see the truck filled with the gold that Jason wanted in exchange for Hank's life being driven away. Dick wondered if they should make a dash for the car he drove and follow, but his car was on the other side of the building. By the time they go on the road, Jason would be long gone. He had obviously planned this, and would have an escape route planned out already. No, it was best to call Barbara and have her track the truck.
"What the h*ll was this, Dick?" Dawn questioned, her voice cracking slightly due to her crying and a little breathless.
"This was, Jason trying to prove a point, I think," Dick replied, also a little breathless.
"What point?" She wondered. Dick opened his mouth to answer, then noticed something on the ground, right near the tire tracks. He easily recognized it, and bent down to pick it up.
"What's that?" Dawn asked as she came over to him.
"An inhaler, same kind Kory and I found at the loft where Jason was cooking up some kind of drug," Dick revealed. "We need to find out what's going on, and fast."

Dick quickly parked the car in the garage and rushed out, eager to find Hank and the rest of the team. Dawn was right in front of him, as she had unbuckled her seatbelt and jumped out before Dick even put the car in park. He followed right at her heels. He wasn't sure if Hank was up in his bedroom or if he was back down in the Batcave, but it turned out, he wasn't in either of those locations, because he was in the family room right near the staircase. Kory, Gar, and Conner were also there, waiting for them to return.
All four of them stood up when they arrived. Dick froze, but Dawn ran into Hank's arms, now fully sobbing. Hank immediately hugged her back, tears of his own filling his eyes. Dick though remained in the entryway, watching. It felt like a massive weight had been lifted on his chest, and he was now floating or something. He wasn't sure if he was even breathing. A hand landed on his arm and he turned his head to find Kory now standing beside, looking a bit worried about him.
"Dick?" Hank's voice drew Dick's attention right back to him, also looking at him with concern.
"I think this calls for some celebratory pizza. I owe you one after all, right?" Dick said, giving the older man a smile. Hank instantly smiled and chuckled.
"Yeah, I believe you do," Hank agreed.
"Then, let's do that. We can handle everything else later."
AN – As much as I didn't like Hank in season 2, I did like him better in season 3, and I was a little sad that he died. Especially since we did finally get a few snippets of him and Dick getting along. Because of that, and because of the potential that was there, I decided to keep him alive. Also, I didn't go too much into the fighting because I am still not that good at writing fighting scenes, and it was quick. Sorry if it really sucks. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter though! See you guys next time!
