Chapter 9
The modern day, with Satsuki
Having had enough of reviewing the files on her tablet and thinking back to past events. Satsuki put away the device and bid her butler a good night. As she retreated back to her quarters for the night. Satsuki started thinking about the upcoming school year and what her mother has planned. There was no doubt that Ragyo had a reason to go after Junko and potentially more students.
Mukuro is still missing, Junko is still being locked away from society and now Satsuki prevented the Ultimate Despair from being created. Though there are still some pains to deal with now that she's forcing the two classes to join her.
"I feel weak, I grew too close to some of them." Satsuki said to herself as she lied in bed. Then she smiled, "Then again, where I have weakness. I have a new strength." She added.
Satsuki was never a caring type of person. She wasn't someone who saw her followers as insects meant to be stepped on by her. Except that didn't mean she would coddle and council them like she's their older sister. Now, she sees that with Classes 77 and 78. Though she does have her concern that some of them will screw up on their long journeys.
"I will have to see how it goes then." Satsuki said before finally resting for the night.
Elsewhere
In a mansion in the outskirts of town. Soichiro Kiryuin was working heavily on a sailor suit. After having faked his death when Ragyo tried to throw away his newborn daughter and the synthetic child that his wife used to create a Life Fiber hybrid. Soichiro created the alias of, Isshin Matoi, where he lived in secret from the rest of the world. Only really having contact with his daughter, but had to make sacrifices like giving away the synthetic child to a couple from the Future Foundation.
Along with another sailor suit meant to fit the synthetic child. Only now, things are in between being good and bad depending on how Isshin wishes to look at things.
"The boy may be safe, but I'm not sure how my daughter will use him." Isshin said as he sighed. "Satsuki will you really care for your brother, at least as a comrade or will you weaponize him against your former mother?" he asked himself.
He says former as Ragyo isn't the same women Isshin fell in love with. Then again, maybe that was all just a fantasy. A fabric of his imagination that Ragyo is a caring woman with great hope and ambitions. Instead, that woman lost her humanity possibly before he met her. Suffice to say, Ragyo's plotting needs to come to an end soon.
"And when Ryuko's time comes. Perhaps the three of you unite together." Isshin said with some hope before receiving a call from an old phone. "This is Matoi." he said.
"The Kiryuin girl has desolved our alliance."Said the voice on the phone.
"What happened?" Isshin asked.
"We had a disagreement as to how a certain group of individuals should be handled. One of which is your "son" who was weaponized." the voice said.
Isshin narrowed his eyes, "And what was the result of this disagreement Kyosuke? Never mind the initial argument." he asked.
"It seems as though Satsuki wishes to domesticate the two classes in her own sick manner. In other words, making them attend high school at Honnoji Academy." Munakata answered.
Isshin stroked his long uncut beard in thought, "That ratty place is pretty ugly, but know Satsuki. They are likely worth more than the ones she deems pathetic and weak willed." he said thinking those kids would likely have goku uniforms.
Then again, it was ironic really. Isshin knew his daughter well enough to know that she wouldn't simply recruit someone because of a rumor of their skill. Hopes Peak is pretty much a home for braggarts in his opinion. Satsuki on her own could defeat a crowd of One Star uniform wearers with the intense training she always puts on herself. So she wouldn't settle for just recruiting someone who is amazing at mundane things like singing, writing or being charismatic.
It was a mystery to Isshin as to what Satsuki could gain. The only thing he knew was Hinata's position.
"What about Hajime? How is he?" Isshin asked.
"Still with Satsuki, I don't know if it's fear or some sort of respect. The girl seems to gain followers not just by fear but respect. Almost as if they see as the girl like monarch or even a savior." Munakata answered with some concerns.
"Then there is no doubt that Satsuki is potentially plotting against Ragyo by now. I suggest you avoid breaking any alliance with Nudist Beach. You may need them more than they need you." Isshin said.
"Understood." Munakata said despite feeling hesitant.
"Good, now I'll keep you updated with my own project. If things go wrong with Hajime, I can only hope Ryuko does not face a similar fate."Isshin added before hanging up the phone. Isshin sighed as he looked at the photo of his daughter, "What is this world coming to?" he asked.
Looking outside, Isshin could see the mess that was Junko Enoshima's attempt at creating a world of despair. Isshin was lucky to have had his own defenses ready along with a bomb shelter. However, he doubts that's the last of the insanity that he constantly worries about.
The only thing left was to prepare for the real incoming apocalypse that is Ragyo.
Some time later
As Satsuki requested, Junko's prison transport was heavily secured. Though with low resourced, Junko's transport only looked like the government was securing gold. Making it relatively less difficult for Mukuro as she managed to find the lanes they were using to escort her sister. After a brief pause between vehicles, Mukuro decided to pull some stunts seen only in movies.
Where she somehow started hanging off the bottom of a humvee hat was escorting the heavy truck. After a couple of checkpoints and radio updates, Mukuro switched positions with the driver after getting rid of them and the guards inside. Only she found herself having to stop after the main truck started to swerve around and went off road.
Mukuro felt confused and expected some sort of update on the radio. Only to hear the humvee driver at the front mentioning that they were pulling over.
"Beta 0-3, keep your eyes open. Beta 0-2 isn't responding to our calls. Investigation needed." The first humvee driver said.
That's when Mukuro watched as the guards from the first humvee came out to inspect the truck. In some strange comical fashion, each guard was thrown back outside in a pile. As the driver and person sitting beside them came out with their guns ready. Which didn't matter as the people inside somehow managed go dispatch them quickly. Mukuro quickly reached for her weapon as she had some concerns of a third party getting involved.
That's when the radio came to life again.
"Hi there! Listen, uh… the drivers of the front car like totally had heart attacks. So uh, you might want to call an ambulance or something. I don't know, let's just move on, okay? Okay!" said a childish voice from the truck.
As the truck slowly started to move back onto the road and continued down the road. Mukuro proceeded to pick up the speed and moved closer to the prison truck. Where she quickly moved to the side of the truck and jumped out. Latching onto the right side door, Mukuro proceeded to use her newfound door rip off the door hinges and climb inside. Where she then proceeded too try and stab the driver who screamed and kicked her right in the face.
"Hey, you scared me!" the driver yelled as Mukuro barely hanged onto the truck. "You know, you won't find a boyfriend from scaring people while they drive." she said.
Mukuro quickly got back inside and found Nui at the driver's seat. Before Mukuro could say anything, Nui slapped her across the face. Which also nearly made her fly out of the truck again.
"That's what you get for scaring me. Now sit down and put on your seatbelt!" Nui yelled as Mukuro came crawling back inside. But Mukuro was too slow, "How hard can it be? No wonder Junko-chan likes to hit you!" she said as she forcibly put the seatbelt on Mukuro.
At the same time, Nui wasn't able to steer or look at the road while she put the seatbelt on the Despair sister. For the next couple of minutes, the prison truck ended up hitting a turnip truck and a pair of frat boys on a scooter along with three catcuses and maybe what sounds like a coyote.
"All good." Nui said before getting the truck back on the road.
Mukuro still looked shocked by the sight of Nui, "What? How? Why are you here?" she asked.
Nui sighed, "Junko is right again, you are dumb and slow." she said. "Obviously, Lady Ragyo is still a business woman. Junko-chan is her investment and now she wants it back. You two did a poor job last time, but Lady Ragyo has such a big heart. She wants to give you two girls a new job instead of being locked away in a cold dim room." she explained as if Ragyo was offering them salvation.
Mukuro stared at Nui quietly and in confusion. So she proceeded to turn her head and movd the cover that showed Junko's torso which was strapped onto a board behind a thick see through container.
"Sister." Mukuro called out only to receive silence. "Sister can you hear me?" she asked, receiving silence again. "Nui said that…"
"I know what Nui said you stupid deaf… augh! I can't believe I have to hear you repeat what Nui said!" Junko said angrily. "Also, how about instead of just sitting your fat butt there and enjoying the air conditioner. You get me out of here and sit me at the front." she commanded.
"I can't do it since I'm driving and we're on a tight deadline." Nui said.
"Yeah Mukuro, move your butt before you screw up again. You were already super late and Nui's been here for 20 minutes." Junko said.
"20 minutes?" Mukuro asked.
"Yeah, you're super slow as hell. I should rename you molasses since you're slow and gross." Junko said as Mukuro started ribbing the wall between them apart.
"I won't be slow anymore sister." Mukuro said as she ripped Junko out of her imprisonment.
"Good, now Nui what do I do about this?" Junko asked as she referred to her missing limbs.
"You'll get new ones. I had a same problem with my left arm." Nui said as she revealed a nasty scar around her shoulder. "That's why Homura never leaves me alone for too long." she said.
"Cool." Junko said as Mukuro carried her to the front seat. "Do we got any good music or just old cowboy crap?" she asked as she wanted Mukuro to adjust the radio.
The next day, with Ragyo
Seeing that Nui successfully acquired her lost "investment". Ragyo began to work on the next step of her plan. Just as Junko came in with her new arms and legs, Ragyo signaled Homura to let in her next group of "investments". One that made even Junko looked surprised as she saw five colorful looking elementary school children come running in.
"Sister Junko!" they cheered as they surrounded her.
"Hey brats, I wondered what happened to you four." Junko said as she still had issues with mobility.
"We were good, we were trying to make our own paradise for kids and tried to get rid of the adults." Nagisa said.
"Yeah, but then these guys in suits and other guys with hardly any clothing showed up and destroyed the robots you loaned us." Masaru said.
Junko sighed, "Somehow I think that bitch is involved." she said.
"Sister Junko said a bad word." Monaca said.
"Whatever, you're all big now. Anyways, why are you five here? It sounds like you all could have been captured like I was." Junko asked.
"Almost is right. Some girl and a bunch of brutes in weird clothing beat all of us except Monaca up." Kotoko said with some slight anger.
"Yeah, they cheated with all of those super suits or whatever they are." Masaru said equally angry.
"Hey who's the weird quiet kid in the back?" Junko asked.
"I'm Jataro, my mask got ripped off." Jataro said with a sigh.
Junko gave him a blank stare, "You look weird." she said.
"Don't compliment me sister. I don't want you to lie." Jataro said thinking he was promoted from ugly to weird.
Junko ignored Jataro's lack of self love, "So why are my old brats here?" she asked.
Ragyo stifled a laugh, "Unlike a few certain reckless adults who have no patience or respect for their children. I see opportunity for them." she said.
"Huh?" Junko asked.
"Homura if you could explain things to Junko." Ragyo said.
The young girl turned on a screen presentation with her tablet, "Parenting is a lot like a career, not only is a metaphoric job to raise a child. It's not for everyone." she said before pulling out a pie chart. "Every child deserves a parent, just like every business deserves employees. However not every adult deserves to a parent and not every person deserves to work." she said.
Nagisa tried to speak up, "Wait, I don't think that's how an economy…"
"Shush, Monaca is listening." Monaca interrupted.
"However, while not producing children does not have a merit like overpopulation. Businesses still require employees in order to continue the economy. However, as I said, not everyone deserves a job." Homura explained as the slideshow revealed an animatic of workers and students. "Therefore, under Lady Ragyo's leadership. She has taken it upon herself and used her charitable nature to "educate" these adults." she said before presenting a stock image of a happy work crew.
"There's still a logo on the image." Mukuro pointed out.
"Such things are too expensive to remove, ignore it." Ragyo said.
"Aren't you a wealthy businesswoman?" Mukuro asked.
"If you think I am unreasonable dear, look at the Baltons. They own Ball-Mart and charge 1000 Yen to use their broken shopping carts." Ragyo answered.
"Yeah Mukuro, if a bunch of rich brats with trillions of yen in revenue can't afford to fix a shopping cart. They aren't going to bother paying a human to pick them up from a parking lot?" Junko asked as she's one of many people that know this.
'How the world has not died from economic stupidity is a mystery to me.' Nagisa thought.
"Enough with the economy already!" Kotoko said.
"Yes, moving along. As lady Ragyo found interest in all of you, she still has uses in such lazy adults." Homura said before playing a video.
The video played to show a man with a broken arm being dragged and thrown into a room filled with various red fabrics. That's when Junko recognized the Life Fibers as they came to life and tackled the man down. The man screamed and begged for help as he began to drown in the fabrics before becoming a sentient suit that wrapped itself in a cocoon.
"That's big brother Haiji." Monaca pointed out with surprise.
"That was just wrong." Junko said.
"It says here that Haiji Towa has a strong hate for children but at the same time, is considered a lolicon. I think such a punishment is fitting." Homura said in her personal opinion.
"That's why it's wrong, you let some creepy guy turn into an expensive suit. Kind of sounds like you're letting him off easy." Junko said with the shake of her head.
Maybe people like Haiji Towa would have honored in worst ways than becoming an expensive outfit from a REVOCS store.
"Is that what happened to all of the adults?" Jataro asked.
"No, just most of them. To be frank, many adults are quite horrible towards each other and even the elderly believe it or not." Ragyo said with a sigh. "Sadly, these people are merely degenerates and no longer fit into society. As such, they all need to be put somewhere towards the benefit of society itself." she explained.
The children thought all sorts of punishments that the adults likely experienced. Though Junko had only a few and most of them were more likely accurate as she could study Ragyo's usage of her words and Homura's explanation with the presentation. If anything, they likely became Life Fiber experiments like Haiji. Junko isn't one of those types of psychopaths that just became bad because they weren't taught better or because her parents were just using poor excuses to defend against their poor behaviors.
Sure, maybe she is just a bored anarchist according to Satsuki. Yet, even Junko could tell that the parents of these kids were likely high off something to be bad enough to be turned into living threads. Speaking of threads…
"Hey, what happened to Izuku Kamakura?" Junko asked.
"My son is now in the hands of my daughter. Most likely trying to turn him into a weapon or a slave like her cousin Nonon and other lackeys." Ragyo said with some disdain. "However, that does not mean that all hope is lost. That's where all of you come in." she said.
Homura then proceeded to reveal the next slide, "As you have yet to realize, your sister has special implants." she said revealing an X-Ray of Junko's modified body. "Though not a typical human anymore. Your sister is far special and we in turn, hope to make you all special too." she said.
"Sister?" everyone but Monaca asked as they looked at Junko.
Junko grinned as she turned her hands into weapons, "Cool right? You wanna be like me?" she asked.
"Monaca does!" Monaca exclaimed. Then she noticed everyone else was quiet, "What? Sister Junko is much more amazing." she said.
Junko laughed as she rubbed Monaca's head, "I'm happy to see that Monaca is getting with the program. Besides, if someone as useless as Mukuro didn't hesitate then you five can handle it." she said.
"Will it hurt?" Jataro asked.
"Duh, needles always hurt but you just need to man up. What's wrong with you Blacksmith, you can't handle the task?" Junko asked.
"I'm a priest, not a blacksmith." Jataro said as Junko mixed up their RPG titles.
Junko grimaced, "What church are you from? The one with the guy with the bad foot and ugly eye?" she asked while trying to remember the name of Hephaestus.
"Probably." Jataro answered while thinking Hephaestus is someone he can relate to.
"Anyways, do we got any volunteers or is Monaca the only one making me proud?" Junko asked.
"I would do it twice if I could sister!" Mukuro spoke up out of jealousy.
"Mukuro shut-, wait would that work if she did it twice?" Junko asked curiously.
"It will not." Homura answered.
Junko nodded, "Okay I can see Mukuro is still loyal, but useless. So what's it gonna be?" she asked her little proteges.
"I think we need to think this over." Nagisa said as he huddled with the rest of his party.
"Fine." Junko said with a groan.
"Monaca will make sister Junko and auntie Ragyo proud!" Monaca said.
"That you will dear." Ragyo said while devilishly plotting the next phase of her altered plan.
The First Day of the new school year, Honnoji Academy
The school year was finally here, the new one that is. Though the downside is the extra need to study as everyone is technically held back a year. No thanks to Junko and her plot to destroy the world and see what happens next. So much for Despair, pfft.
"That is a big road." Hinata said the journey up the school is going to be painful.
"I can make it!" Kazuichi said.
"It will be a long road, I think some of us won't make it." Sonia said grimly.
"If you want, I can carry you on my back Sonia!" Kazuichi said.
Hinata looked at Chiaki who still appeared fairly frail, "I can carry you too." he said as she blushed.
"Okay, but will you- ah!" Chiaki suddenly found herself being lifted up in his arms.
"Hold on." Hinata said as he started sprinting up the road.
Sonia's face scrunched into one seriousness, "Soda, we must not fall behind!" she said while hopping onto his back.
Kazuichi grunted as he adjusted himself, "Okay, let's go!" he said as he started trying to run.
Naegi groaned as he he wasn't as fit, "This is going to take a century." he complained.
"The first step is what begins the long journey." Kyoko said as she stood beside him.
"Yeah, it's not going to be that hard once we reach the top." Sayaka said as she grabbed Naegi's arm. "We should go before we're late." she said as she dragged him.
"Hey slow down!" Naegi said as Kyoko followed them.
Nekomaru suddenly felt competitive, "All we need is motivation! Who wants to raise me to the top! Step up cowards!" He yelled.
Akane, Sakura, Gundham, Aoi, Mondo and surprisingly Peko all stepped forward and stood at the same position as Nekomaru. All looking like they were ready to race, but Nekomaru stopped for a moment. As he noticed that Fuyuhiko was forced to ride on Peko's back.
"Now that looks more challenging." Nekomaru said as he looked at Peko. "Let's add to the stakes. Everyone has to carry someone on their back too!" he added.
The others agreed and Peko kept her master secured on her back. Aoi picked up Chihiro, Mondo picked up Kiyotaka, Gundham picked up Yasuhiro, Sakura sat Hiyoko over her shoulder, and Akane picked up Mikan, and Nekomaru sat Ibuki and Celestia on his shoulders. It wouldn't be too long before they all started sprinting as the rest of the two classes trailed up the high road at a normal pace.
"That is a waste of energy." Byakuya said.
"I made emergency snacks in case some of you get tired up the way." Teruteru said.
"I'm already dying." Hifumi complained.
"My energy is already running out as well. I may need that food as well." said the impostor who was disguised again.
Byakuya looked annoyed, "Why are you dressed like me?" he asked.
"That's super creepy." Toko said
Meanwhile most of the racers were making headway. With Kiyotaka looking the most confident as he was glad to have taken Yasuhiro with him.
"Tell me oracle, do I, Gundham Tanaka, achieve victory?" Gundham asked.
Yasuhiro concentrated on his crystal ball, "Unless you can overcome a big brute in a few minutes. The answer is always no. Sorry man." he said.
Gundham scoffed, "I fear no brute of any size or might. I will change my fate." he said as he ran faster.
Celestia calmly enjoyed her tea, "This is an exotic change of scenery." she said while sitting on Nekomaru's bicep.
"I can't believe how well balanced the big guy is." Ibuki said as she pats Nekomaru's muscles.
"Ain't nothing slowing me down!" Nekomaru yelled.
Kiyotaka realized something as they managed to reach the halfway point, "You may want to slow down on arrival. I believe Gamadori-san will have a rule against running on campus." he suggested.
"I'll keep an eye out. That guy is super intense." Mondo replied.
Kiyotaka nodded, "He is the true pinnacle of a school's disciplinary committee! Such a skill I only feel respect towards!" He exclaimed.
"Sure, whatever." Mondo said as he tried keeping up with everyone.
Aoi started to slow down, "Hey are you okay Chihiro? You've been super quiet." she said.
"I'm good, I'm just using my portable computer to adjust for the route. Maybe find you a good path to move faster without getting tired." Chihiro said as he compiled a map.
"Really? That would be super helpful." Aoi said feeling happy.
"You might want to avoid this part of the street. There's a bunch of thugs from the looks of it." Chihiro said as Aoi moved out of the way just as some delinquents tackled down some poor pedestrian. "Also, there's a street cart pulling up behind us." he added as Aoi saw the cart moving up very quickly.
"That's going to be useful." Aoi said.
At the top
Using his enhanced body's physique. Hinata managed to arrive only a few meters away from the entrance as he came to a stop and put Chiaki down. Where Hinata decided to catch his breath and rest for a while as it looked like the staff were still just starting to open up the gates to the entrance.
"You went pretty far Hajime, are you feeling okay?" Chiaki asked.
"I just need to catch my breath." Hinata said as he took a knee.
Chiaki took off her backpack and pulled out some food, "Try this, Teruteru gave me this recipe. It's supposed to give you energy." she said.
"I'm fine, really. I don't want to… that's not helping." Hinata said as Chiaki tried feeding him.
"Don't make me force feed you." Chiaki said.
Just then, Gamagori started to open the gate and let the students in. As he moved through the crowd, he saw Chiaki feeding Hinata. Unaware of how exhausted he is and Chiaki believing that food will somehow give him his power back. Something which Gamagori didn't believe in unless it were a protein shake or equivalent.
"Isn't that cute. BUT IT'S WRONG!" Gamagori yelled, startling the pair. "You are both lucky that public display of affection is not tolerated within 15 meters of academy grounds whereas you are both 16.2 meters away." he continued to say.
Was Gamagori somehow able to read measurements just by looking at the ground?
"Yes sir." Hinata said as Chiaki put the food away.
"At least, you are doing a decent job at punctuality. The same being said with your pink haired friend." Gamagori said as Kazuichi stumbled towards the entrance.
"I did it Sonia. I made it." Kazuichi said.
"That you did." Sonia said before Kazuichi fell on his face. "Though it is improper to arrive at school while on piggyback within 15 meters. Luckily I believe we are only 16 or 17 meters away." she said as she got off of him.
"16.8 meters to be exact." Gamagori confirmed. "Your classmates better arrive soon, the orientation begins in a half hour." He said before noticing everyone running in the far distance.
Soon enough, the racers arrived and Gamagori already predicted this being a mess. So he immediately stood in front of the gate and punched the ground. Resulting in a powerful tremor that knocked everyone but Gundham down. As the animal breeder stopped in place and gently put Yasuhiro down while the racers collapsed. Though a few passengers such as Celestia and Chihiro were not harmed upon the fall.
"There will be no street racing in or out of Honnoji academy!" Gamagori roared as Gundham walked passed him.
"Thank for you the warning guardian. No more aggressive behavior will be committed this day." Gundham said as Gamagori accepted that. Gundham really did win as he didn't collapse like everyone else, 'For Gundham Tanaka bends the will of fate in order to achieve victory.' he thought proudly.
"I guess my 30% accuracy isn't increasing any time soon." Yasuhiro said just as Naegi arrived.
"Finally, I think the road is the real danger here." Naegi said.
"The road is your path. A baby can walk up here and down twice in succession." Gamagori said mocking him.
Naegi sweat dropped as he looked back, "Yeah a baby." he said sarcastically as he saw all the fighting in the distance.
"What is law enforcement here like?" Kyoko said with some moderate concern.
"I guess this is natural selection in action, I guess." Naegi said.
"And you won't survive unless you arrive on time for the orientation. Now move!" Gamagori commanded as everyone started speed walking inside.
Then Teruteru, Hifumi and the rest of the group arrived. Before any of them had time to rest, whine or eat more of the Ultimate Chef's food. Gamagori started barking orders at them to go to orientation or receive pain filled punishments on the first day. Along with another threat and warning when they started running inside.
"No running on academy grounds!" He added.
At the orientation
The yearly orientation always started with some bowl cut wearing one star uniform student who gave some speech. Going on about being grateful for their education and being able to take part in the academy again. A typical drone that's been influenced by Satsuki no doubt as she watched the events unfold from the top of academy where she stood.
"She is super intense from that angle." Naegi whispered.
"She's intense anywhere." Mondo countered.
"…and as such, you will break if you do not meet expectations as I will. Have a wonderful day my new and returning classmates." the drone student said before walking off as the crowd clapped for them.
"That was so dull." Leon said as he looked tired.
Then Gamagori stepped up to the podium, "And now, a few words from the Class President, Satsuki Kiryuin." he said as Satsuki jumped down from her high point and onto the stage.
"I almost expected a crater." Hinata commented as Satsuki spoke.
Then some sort of intense music played behind her, "Yeah, definitely not feeling anxious now." Fuyuhiko said sarcastically.
"Students of Honnoji Academy, I have returned, but it was no absolute victory. By this I mean humanity as a whole." Satsuki began to say. "The governments of the world had came close to collapsing in the span of a couple of months. Not solely because of the scene of children attempting to kill each other after losing their minds, but because they allowed this to happen. To lose control and therefore lose control of themselves." she began to explain.
Hinata grunted as he held his head. Chiaki gave him a concerned glance. There was no doubt some of Izuru Kamakura's memories were still there and likely remembered the few times the student council almost killed each other.
"I only have to one thing to say. Surrender your freedom!" Satsuki yelled into the crowd. "The many of you are mindless sheeple! Giving into fear, anger, ire and all sorts of insanity! Your feeble minds quickly give into such meaningless philosophy such as Despair and those not quick to give in find the strength in the hollow belief of Hope when you cannot give yourself strength to overcome your own fears!" she explained.
"I guess it sort of makes sense." Naegi said.
"But to completely rid yourself of free will?" Sayaka asked with a worried face.
"I don't believe that's what Kiryuin-san means." Kyoko said as she listened closely to the speech.
"What is the meaning of free will? Absolutely nothing!" Satsuki said answering her own question.
Sayaka still looked unsure, "Are you sure?" she asked Kyoko.
Kyoko nodded, "Just listen closely." she answered.
"For those incapable of thinking for themselves without destroying each other are no more than cattle. Many of you may try and deny this, but you will be no closer to the truth. That is why I want you to leave your free will to me!" Satsuki commanded as the one stars seem okay with this command. "If you cannot think, if you cannot react, if you cannot feel, then allow me to be the one who can live for you!" she shouted loud enough for the entire academy to hear.
"I still don't get it." Leon said.
Byakuya sighed, "As much as I hate the idea of letting others manipulate me. She's right, most people are afraid of losing their freedom but what good is it if they can't practice self control or do anything without thinking?" he asked.
The impostor nodded, "As with politicians, military leaders and organizers of groups. There is always the leader who has the strongest will and shows no fear at the front of every conflict." he said.
"I would be impressed by your acknowledgement if you didn't look like that." Byakuya said as he hated his impostor's appearance.
Toko sweat dropped, "I agree with Togami… the real one that is." she said.
"I rest my case." Byakuya and the impostor said together.
Byakuya pinched the bridge of his nose as his impostor really frustrated him. However, it seemed like most of the former Hopes Peak students seem to agree with their analyzes.
"I guess I'll settle with this crazy girl as my manager." Ibuki said.
"A lovely lady, strong and fierce. I like it." Teruteru said with a nosebleed. "My kitchen is in her hands!" he exclaimed.
"My art and writing will go along too." Hifumi said with a blush.
Hinata looked at Chiaki who seemed confused, "Are you okay with a new class president?" he asked.
Chiaki gave him a smile, "I think I'm fine with stepping down and being a student again." she answered.
"Satsuki-san is really scare and mean, but she is strong. It makes sense to follow her." Mikan said.
"I don't think many of us disagree or are brave enough to at least." Naegi points out as half of them seem silent.
"I think you forget the beating everyone received. Either to test Satsuki's will or act as the dominant figure." Kyoko replied.
"I try not to think about it." Naegi said as he remembered the day Satsuki essentially recruited everyone.
Flashback, day after the offer
Hajime Hinata had already agreed to joining Honnoji. The reasons likely varied from having a fresh start after all of those experiments done on him to trying life again with a new philosophy. Makoto Naegi however, is still unsure as to what he should do but was slightly inclined into joining Hannoji as well. With a few of the other students taking the offer either out of fear or respect for Satsuki. Though there were some that were defying her or just wanted to test her grit.
Some such as Mondo, Leon, Gundham and Peko who looked fairly against this. Then there were a few like Sakura, Nekomaru, Byakuya and Sonia who just wanted to see the person Satsuki is outside of the reputation and ferocity she shows.
"And how will you like to do this?" Satsuki asked.
"I can tell that most of these brutes want to do it by force." Byakuya spoke up.
"And as for the more civilized individuals?" Satsuki asked.
Byakuya adjusted his glasses, "I think we'll see your character based on your reactions." he answered.
"And what of the rest of you?" Satsuki asked.
Ibuki and Hiyoko took cover, "I'm not fighting that crazy girl." the rocker said with the dancer agreeing.
Hifumi started to back away, "Me neither." he said while sweating.
A few others did respect Satsuki but were also deathly afraid. Then Nekomaru spoke up and said something some of the others agreed with.
"I can tell your tough and you're not someone who steps over people for fun, but I feel it's not right to just follow anyone who just feels cool." Nekomaru explained as Satsuki stayed quiet. "That's why, I want your motive." he said.
"My motive." Satsuki said with an unclear idea of what he meant.
"You know, your motivation and the person you are. Sometimes being bossy or smart isn't enough." Nekomaru said as he cracked his knuckles.
"Ira is no pushover either, fists are just half what defines him. So I want to see what makes you special in his eyes." Sakura spoke up.
Satsuki gave a light smile, "Then you are all free to test me all you wish." she said as she unsheathed her Bakuzan.
And thus, the challenge was accepted.
"This is going to be a mess." Naegi mumbled.
And it was, luckily it seemed that Satsuki was being very patient. Though this would likely be a one time thing know how irritable some of Naegi's classmates could be. As well as how some of the students from Class 77 would be pretty harsh when it comes to judgement.
As Leon was the first to go down after trying to hit Satsuki with his first swing with a bat. Taking a knee to the stomach that sent him crashing across the floor as Mondo tried using a similar tactic. Only for his pipe to be sliced off. At least he gut the chance to throw some heavy punches before being repeatedly slapped with one hand then taking the hilt of the sword to the chin. At least it looked like Gundham was being more intelligent and so was Peko with the latter taking most of Satsuki's focus.
The Ultimate Breeder proceeded to command his four hamsters, The Four Devas of Destruction to arm themselves. With each one taking their position as to avoid getting caught in the crossfire between the swordswomen. However, it was ruined as Nekomaru came crashing in and tried to grapple Satsuki.
"Don't worry, I'll tag myself in!" Nekomaru yelled as he missed.
"There is no tagging you fool!" Gundham yelled as Nekomaru crashed into one of his hamsters. "Damn, assist Pekoyama!" he commanded them.
Satsuki soon found herself fighting three of the four Devas as the hamsters somehow obtained ninja weapons. However, none of them were close to Peko's skill as Satsuki defeated them with a few strikes. Though it didn't help that the weapons were far too big for each rodent to carry. Thus the focus went back to Peko who tried striking Satsuki from behind.
"You are skilled enough to be called the Ultimate Swordswoman, Pekoyama." Satsuki complimented as her sword clashed with Peko's. "However, you have not endured enough to win!" She yelled as she pushed away from Peko before dealing a heavy downward slash against the red eyed woman.
Resulting in Peko's sword shattering and her gaining a large scratch against her chest that tore through her clothing. Nekomaru would soon join her after he tried landing several heavy blows towards Satsuki. At least it wasn't an easy fight for Satsuki, but that might be because she's trying to hold back.
"Interesting, she's being merciful but not out of fear." Sonia said.
"Uh, Sonia how do you know that?" Kazuichi asked as Satsuki seemed brutal to him.
"It is a part of one of the many martial arts we learn in Novoselic, Kazuichi. One where you learn your opponent through their body language and eyes." Sonia explained.
"I see your country offers lots of fighting styles, that's cool." Kazuichi said.
"It is no offer, it is a requirement for elementary school students everywhere!" Sonia exclaimed as Kazuichi sweat dropped. "However, as much as I would like to practice again. I fear Satsuki-san is beyond my level even without her sword." she said as Nekomaru finally crashed into the floor.
"And as I predicted, Sakura-san is the last fighter." Celestia spoke up as Akane started running in.
"I can take her! I always wanted too…"
Akane was interrupted as she was quickly sent crashing into Toko. Luckily Byakuya moved away in time as Toko was near him when Akane crashed. Suddenly everyone started reaching into their pockets just as Sakura her spot.
"You chose to wait for your turn." Satsuki stated.
"The fights were a mess and besides. I said I wanted to meet the girl who won Gamagori's respect." Sakura replied as she stretched her muscles.
"Than a one on one match is what you will receive." Satsuki said respecting Sakura's request.
With that, the time for talk had ended. Unlike Nekomaru and the rest, Sakura's speed is quite high and was able to chase after Satsuki whenever she tried to distance herself. Even going as far as to parry the sword strikes while avoiding being cut by the blade itself. Though it seemed like Satsuki was picking up the speed as she had to adjust for her opponent's physique.
The Ultimate Fighter continued throwing her punches as Satsuki tried blocking them with her sheath. Which unfortunately broken after many blows and caused Satsuki to skid back.
"The Ultimate Fighter title is much more than a muscle bound brute's nickname." Sonia said as she Sakura deliver a strong kick to Satsuki who started rolling in the air before landing.
"So what, she's super good at all forms of fighting?" Kazuichi asked.
"More so than just punching things and lifting weights." Sonia said before Satsuki managed to make Sakura stagger.
After using a very brief moment to jab the Bakuzan's hilt into one of Sakura's nerves. Sakura started to stumble as she started losing feeling in one of her arms. Making it harder for her to keep up with Satsuki's attacks.
'I feel sloppy, was it Enoshima's experiment or do I really need to practice hand to hand style fighting?' Satsuki mentally asked before narrowly avoiding a blow to the head. 'I think I should ask Gamagori for a training session.' Satsuki thought before delivering a slash at Sakura's gut.
Though it looked like it avoided anything serious. Though it was strong enough to actually penetrate her defense.
'No matter how strong anyone, including myself, becomes. The flesh always feel, but even then.' Sakura thought as she avoided another slash. 'There's only a few people who can really strengthen their bodies to stop a bladed attack.' she finishing thinking as she punched the blunt end of Satsuki's sword.
Satsuki started feeling tired of being pushed back in her attempts to block Sakura's attacks. However, she immediately stood still and stabbed her sword into the ground. A second later, Sakura took a knee and started panting.
"I can see it now. That strong will, it's not a demand for control over everything." Sakura muttered. She let out a smile, "No, you have your own vision and it looks nice." she said giving Satsuki her respect.
"And the rest of you? What do you say?" Satsuki asked.
Sonia started thinking, "I suppose if I give any form of allegiance or at least form a pact. I will enroll in Honnoji Academy myself." she said.
"I suppose that's the only reasonable option." Byakuya said in agreement.
"Very well, quality is not only in appearance is it?" Celestia asked.
Honnoji wasn't particularly good looking or as fancy as the main buildings for the main course students at Hopes Peak. Yet, it seemed as though Honnoji had it's own particular speciality.
"And the bookworm with the eyes of a psychopath?" Satsuki asked as everyone looked at Toko who looked nervous.
'Crap! I'm crazy and crazy in love, but I ain't fighting that chick! Oh well, Fukawa will follow Byakuya anywhere!' Toko's insane personality thought as she intentionally hit her head against the floor.
Toko immediately rubbed her head in pain, "Where am I?" she asked.
"You were hurting yourself like a masochist while giving Kiryuin a psychotic look." Byakuya explained with a tired sigh.
"Wait, what?" Toko asked. 'Don't tell me Genocider Jack came out!' she thought worryingly.
"Forget your worries, will you be volunteering to join Honnoji as well?" Satsuki asked.
Toko started shaking, "How many already decided?" she asked.
Sonia smiled, "Togami, myself, Soda and just about everyone else volunteered." she answered.
"I guess I can go too. I heard that Honnoji place is cool and stuff." Toko said.
"It is cool, we have the best engineers at work." Satsuki replied.
"I don't think she meant the air conditioning when she said cool." Naegi mumbled.
End of flashback
"That's the end of orientation. Let's go see where our classes will take place." Kyoko said as everyone started to disperse.
As everyone left, Hinata looked up at the academy building, "This place is more intense than Hopes Peak." he said before sighing. "Maybe I should have just accepted life for what it is and be grateful." he said before looking under his shirt.
Underneath his clothes, Hinata was wearing the strange outfit that Satsuki gave him. It's supposedly far stronger than even the Three Star uniforms that the Devas wear. Yet, Satsuki has yet to reveal to him how it's supposed to work. Which only adds to the pressure of having something so special.
Class 78
Upon arrival, Hinata was surprised to see that he was given the same placement as Chiaki's class. Though he was happy to be around the girl he liked and her friends seemed nice. The only real thing that made him feel less anxious was the fact that there was another outsider joining this class too.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I'm not late! I swear!" said some girl with a brown bowl cut as she ran inside.
Once inside, the class took their seats and were greeted by the teacher. Though they already started to falter in their hopes for this school. As the man didn't really look like a professional who took his job seriously with his ragged appearance.
"Good morning class, you may call me Mikisugi sensei. Personally, I think this is a special year for me as it is for you. Mainly because I got a cute little co-ed for this year." Aikuro said.
'What a creep.' Most of the class thought.
'How cute!?' Teruteru mentally shouted.
Aikuro turned towards the sound of the door opening, "Here she is now." she said.
"Pardon my tardiness class." said a familiar voice.
"Yukizome sensei!" everyone but Hinata and the bowl cut girl yelled out.
"Am I missing something here?" the girl asked Hinata.
Hinata scratched the back of his head sheepishly, "Everyone but myself was in that teacher's class last year." he answered.
"Oh… I feel left out." the girl said.
Once Chisa broke free from the class hugging her. She noticed the new faces and smiled. She was happy to have more students even if the space felt slightly more crowded.
"I see introductions are still in order." Chisa said as she looked at her remaining students. "I am Chisa Yukizome and don't mind Aikuro sensei, I'll practically lead the way this year." she said.
"Chisa, I'm practically your supervisor." Aikuro whined.
"Is that how it works?" Chisa asked while eyeing Aikuro suspiciously. She then looked back at her new students, "And now, how would you two like to introduce yourselves." she asked.
Hinata smiled as he stood up, "I'm Hajime Hinata, I'm just happy to be here." he said as he earned warm smiles.
"And I'm Mako Mankanshoku!" Mako happily added.
Chisa smiled, "I'm happy to meet you both too, Hajime and Mako." she said.
And thus begins the new year at Honnoji.
With Nui
Nui screamed in pain as she clutched her eye. For a brief moment, Nui's silly and naive personality was completely gone and she looked at her attacker with hatred. The person who stabbed her was none other than Dr. Isshin Matoi who she attempted to kill in order to take his experiment. Now the man had went ahead and destroyed one of her eyes.
So she retaliated, by repeatedly cutting him up with one of the blades with a special weapon called the Rending Scissors. Which Nui thought was a stupid name just a while ago. However, it seems that this now broken weapon was as strong and dangerous as Satsuki's Bakuzan sword.
"Dad!? Dad where are you!?" a voice called out.
Nui realized now is the best time to leave. Seeing this, she took one half of the scissor blades and ran out of the building. At the same time, completely avoiding Ryuko Matoi and taking to the skies. Leaving behind only a vague shadowy appearance that Ryuko couldn't make out once she made it outside. Only by then, Ryuko's house exploded with Isshin still inside.
"That *BLEEP* hurt!" Nui yelled as she rubbed her wound. "Lady Ragyo might be happy about the mission being successful, but there's no way that even she could fix this." she said as a tear fell down her regular eye.
Meanwhile, Ryuko only had vague clues to work with as she wasn't able to gain any information from her father before his death. However, she knew one thing and that was her next stop.
To Honnoji Academy.
